- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 0:02Speaker 1: day and it is time for you Steve to take
- 0:05Speaker 1: a seat to.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Talk about racism.
- 0:09Speaker 3: And you know, man, because I was giving it a
- 0:12Speaker 3: little bit of thought this week here and I was
- 0:14Speaker 3: by myself, and I was thinking about the existence of it. Now, listen,
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm not going to say something so profound that explains
- 0:22Speaker 3: racism or where it stems from and all like that.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I just want to have a couple of thoughts I
- 0:30Speaker 3: wanted to share with y'all. You know, there are some
- 0:37Speaker 3: black people in this world who I just think are
- 0:44Speaker 3: not good representatives of who we are as a people.
- 0:50Speaker 3: And we all know some we all know some what
- 0:53Speaker 3: we wish they would just go sit down somewhere and
- 0:57Speaker 3: quit having a voice that they have, you know, making
- 1:01Speaker 3: us feel that kind of way feel bad. I've been
- 1:05Speaker 3: watching a lot online and there are a lot of
- 1:07Speaker 3: whites who feel the same way about a lot of
- 1:10Speaker 3: some whites that's out there. There are white people constantly
- 1:14Speaker 3: online talking about the racist white people that they know,
- 1:19Speaker 3: and they're not understanding why they won't admit to the truth.
- 1:24Speaker 3: And I'm saying all this because I want you to
- 1:28Speaker 3: understand that there are just some bad people on all
- 1:31Speaker 3: sides of the coin. There are some bad Black people,
- 1:35Speaker 3: some bad White people, some bad Latinos, some bad Asians,
- 1:39Speaker 3: some bad Christians, some bad Jewish people, some bad muslim some.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Whatever. It's just some bad ones.
- 1:49Speaker 3: And what I found is that these bad ones, when
- 1:53Speaker 3: they are giving a voice and a platform, they bring
- 1:57Speaker 3: out the other bad ones so they have a place
- 1:59Speaker 3: where they can band together. And racism is such a
- 2:05Speaker 3: waste of energy. So I know for a fact that
- 2:12Speaker 3: I know a lot of white who are really, really,
- 2:18Speaker 3: really good people, and I know a lot of them,
- 2:23Speaker 3: But I know a whole lot of Black people that's
- 2:26Speaker 3: just some incredibly wonderful people. But I know some bad
- 2:30Speaker 3: ones too, And sadly, I've met enough of the bad
- 2:36Speaker 3: white ones, which is what keeps me on my toes
- 2:40Speaker 3: all the time, because sometimes racism in this country rears
- 2:45Speaker 3: its head at the most unexpected time. And we are
- 2:49Speaker 3: living in a time right now where racism at the
- 2:54Speaker 3: forefront is at an all time high.
- 2:58Speaker 4: It's at an all time high, this after.
- 3:02Speaker 3: The Emancipation Proclamation, this after the so called freeing of slaves.
- 3:08Speaker 3: It has never been more prevalent than it is today.
- 3:14Speaker 3: And it has a voice, it's got a following, it's
- 3:18Speaker 3: got streaming devices. I mean, man, they can organize. Did
- 3:24Speaker 3: you see what happen on January sixth? Did you see
- 3:29Speaker 3: what happened there? That was organized bigotry and hatred at
- 3:35Speaker 3: the highest level. And I know it was at the
- 3:38Speaker 3: highest level because when this man became president, he pardoned
- 3:44Speaker 3: all of them, which made him keep one campaign promise
- 3:48Speaker 3: on that day he said, if you go down there,
- 3:53Speaker 3: I will send my lawyers for you. And that's exactly
- 3:57Speaker 3: what he did, and he gave an executive pardon to
- 4:01Speaker 3: all these people. But I don't think people understand what
- 4:06Speaker 3: racism causes and does. And you know what, let me
- 4:10Speaker 3: just help you racist people out for just one second here,
- 4:13Speaker 3: not that you're going to listen, and not that you care,
- 4:16Speaker 3: because I know you don't. And that's what keeps us
- 4:19Speaker 3: so alive and well in this country because of your
- 4:22Speaker 3: bigoted ignorance, because of your unwillingness to understand just for
- 4:28Speaker 3: a moment, that the Civil Rights Bill was not for
- 4:32Speaker 3: us to get more.
- 4:34Speaker 4: The Civil Rights Bill was simply all we wanted to
- 4:37Speaker 4: do was to be treated civil. We just wanted to
- 4:40Speaker 4: be treated civil like people like your constitutions say, stop
- 4:46Speaker 4: getting mad at black people when they don't stand for
- 4:48Speaker 4: the star spriangled banner, when they know full well you're
- 4:51Speaker 4: not singing about them. Don't ask me to put my
- 4:54Speaker 4: hand on my heart. Do you know the reason that
- 4:58Speaker 4: I do stand for the national anthem? For the people
- 5:01Speaker 4: who put them uniforms on, who left home and didn't
- 5:06Speaker 4: come back. That's really it, man, Because of the soldiers
- 5:12Speaker 4: and the military people out here that had to choose
- 5:14Speaker 4: this route as a way to earn a living. That's
- 5:19Speaker 4: really it, man. And you know what, I get sick
- 5:23Speaker 4: of people go, I don't know why you're complaining? You rich?
- 5:28Speaker 2: What?
- 5:29Speaker 4: Man?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Let me explain something to you.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I'm in this fight for us because I know, good
- 5:35Speaker 3: and well, if my black was not who I was
- 5:39Speaker 3: and didn't have the ability to do what I do,
- 5:43Speaker 3: I know good and hair well, I wouldn't be rich.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I know good and hall well, you wouldn't give me
- 5:47Speaker 3: nothing you done gave me. And just as a reminder,
- 5:52Speaker 3: the things I do have that you think you gave me,
- 5:57Speaker 3: I had to do ten times more then my counterparts
- 6:02Speaker 3: just to get a piece of what they got. So racism, man,
- 6:06Speaker 3: is ugly on so many levels, and I ain't scratched
- 6:10Speaker 3: the surface of it today. I just wanted to tell
- 6:12Speaker 3: y'all something. What we really want is just to be
- 6:16Speaker 3: treated fairly.
- 6:17Speaker 4: That's all. We don't want more.
- 6:20Speaker 3: If I had the time to tell you what affirmative
- 6:23Speaker 3: action was really for you, go somewhere and sit down.
- 6:27Speaker 3: But you're not because you don't care. You don't listen,
- 6:29Speaker 3: So keep on being racist. If we're gonna keep fighting
- 6:32Speaker 3: and we're gonna keep winning, and you're not gonna stop
- 6:35Speaker 3: us no matter what you do.
