Very useful if you ever need to describe where it hurts. Luna: Oh good. Like at the doctor's or something. I remember we did 'head' in an earlier episode, right? Lucas: We did! 'Het hoofd' — the head. Let's start with that one. Het hoofd. Luna: Het hoofd. Lucas: Perfect. Now, let's add two more today: de hand — the hand, and de voet — the foot. Luna: De hand en de voet. Hand and foot. Easy enough. Lucas: Exactly. Let's practice them together. Say them after me: het hoofd. Luna: Het hoofd. Lucas: De hand. Luna: De hand. Lucas: De voet. Luna: De voet. Lucas: Great. Now let's put them in a tiny scene. Imagine you're at the doctor's and you point to your head and say: 'Mijn hoofd doet pijn' — my head hurts. Luna: Mijn hoofd doet pijn. That's a useful one. Lucas: And if your hand hurts: 'Mijn hand doet pijn.' Luna: Mijn hand doet pijn. Lucas: Or your foot: 'Mijn voet doet pijn.' Luna: Mijn voet doet pijn. Okay, I'm seeing a pattern. 'Mijn' plus body part plus 'doet pijn'. Lucas: You've got it. Now let's do a quick drill. I'll say the English, you say the Dutch. Luna: Alright, bring it on. Lucas: Head. Luna: Het hoofd.
