Mary puts God first - Readings for 10/6/26

Today’s Gospel tells the story of Martha and Mary. When Jesus visited, Mary sat at His feet and listened, while Martha worked hard to serve Him. Jesus tells her that Mary is the one who has chosen the better part.

In our lives, we need to know what to put first. We need to give God time. You need to take time for personal prayer and Scripture reading every day. That opens the door for God to initiate and give you grace to develop his personal relationship with you.

May God in his mercy give us the grace to both learn how to pray more deeply and how to serve more generously.
