Transcript
- 0:01There are a number of proven methods for achieving peace and
- 0:05silence in the mind, some are more arduous than others.
- 0:10The more one works at it. The more inward pressure want to
- 0:14search to try to achieve this status, the greater the
- 0:17intrusions that forced themselves on the mind.
- 0:22This is the result of a rajasic effort filled with desire for a
- 0:26particular result. The mother suggest the method
- 0:30that releases this pressure and allows peace and quiet in the
- 0:34mind to come over time with repeated effort but without
- 0:40being filled with desire and any aggressive method, peace is the
- 0:45method and peace is the result. A disciple asks, how can we
- 0:53establish a settled peace and silence in the mind?
- 0:58The mother writes quote, first of all you must want it and then
- 1:03you must try and must persevere. Continue trying What?
- 1:08I have just told you is a very good means yet.
- 1:11There are others. Also, you sit quietly to begin
- 1:15with and then instead of thinking of 50 things, you begin
- 1:20saying to yourself. Peace.
- 1:23Peace, peace, peace. Peace.
- 1:29Calm peace. You imagine peace and calm.
- 1:36You Aspire ask that. It may come peace, peace, calm.
- 1:44And then when something comes and touches you and acts say
- 1:49quietly like this peace. Peace.
- 1:54Peace. Do not look at the thoughts.
- 1:58Do not listen to the thoughts. You understand?
- 2:01You must not pay attention to everything that comes You know,
- 2:07when someone bothers you a great deal and you want to get rid of
- 2:10him you don't listen to him. Do you good?
- 2:13You turn your head away gesture and think of something else.
- 2:19Will you must do that? When thoughts come?
- 2:22You must not. Look at them must not.
- 2:24Listen to them. Must not pay any attention at
- 2:27all. You must behave as though they
- 2:30did not exist. You see?
- 2:32And then repeat all the time. Like a con kind of how shall I
- 2:38put it as an idiot? Does who repeats the same thing
- 2:41always? Well you must do the same thing.
- 2:44You must repeat. Peace.
- 2:48Peace. Peace.
- 2:52So you try this for a few minutes and then do what you
- 2:54have to do. And then another time you begin
- 2:58again, sit down again and then try Do this, I'm getting up in
- 3:03the morning. Do this in the evening when
- 3:06going to bed? You can do this look, if you
- 3:10want to digest your food properly, you can do this for a
- 3:14few minutes before eating you can imagine how much this helps
- 3:18your digestion before beginning to eat.
- 3:21You sit quietly for a while and say peace peace.
- 3:27Peace and everything becomes calm.
- 3:32It seems as though all the noises were going far far far
- 3:37away. Mother stretches out her arms on
- 3:41both sides. And then you must continue.
- 3:46And there comes a time when you no longer need to sit down and
- 3:50no matter what you are doing, no matter what you are saying, it
- 3:55is always peace. Peace.
- 3:59Peace. Everything remains here like
- 4:03this. It does not enter gesture in
- 4:07front of the forehead, it remains like this and then one
- 4:12is always in a perfect piece after some years.
- 4:18But at the beginning, a very small beginning, two or three
- 4:22minutes, it is very simple for something complicated.
- 4:26You must make an effort and when one makes an effort, one is not
- 4:30quiet. It is difficult to make an
- 4:33effort while remaining quiet. Very simple, very simple.
- 4:39You must be very simple in these things.
- 4:42It is though, you were learning how to call a friend by dint of
- 4:47being called, he comes will make peace and calm your friends and
- 4:53call them. Come peace.
- 4:56Peace peace. Peace.
