Transcript
- 0:04Speaker 1: Suits a podcast called twenty five West Stocky Soccer and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they are well.
- 0:09Speaker 2: A whizz, So yeah, it's too bad, but what did
- 0:12Speaker 2: you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Wist.
- 0:16Speaker 3: So.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Everybody, we will talk NBA too in a little bit.
- 0:21Speaker 4: We just wanted to yell soccer, yeah, yeah, and super stuff.
- 0:25Speaker 4: All right, Eddie Blood. I have a bunch of notes here.
- 0:29Speaker 4: We didn't do an episode last week because we're on vacation.
- 0:31Speaker 4: But the first note that I have, and this is
- 0:34Speaker 4: going to go back a few days, but Germany lost
- 0:39Speaker 4: their game and they went to penalty kicks, which, by
- 0:41Speaker 4: the way, the most American awesome thing about soccer is
- 0:44Speaker 4: when they go to penalty kicks, Like, just call me.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Penalty kicks are happening for the most part, and to me,
- 0:49Speaker 4: soccer still kind of boring. But baseball is also boring,
- 0:52Speaker 4: and I like baseball, so it's just what you grew
- 0:54Speaker 4: up with me not watching a lot of soccer. All right,
- 0:58Speaker 4: shoot it, shoot it, shoot it. Oh, I know you're
- 1:02Speaker 4: half court whatever that's called. Shoot it from back there.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I guess this is me the whole time. Yeah, I
- 1:06Speaker 4: have been enjoying the World Cup and when people go
- 1:09Speaker 4: soccer's boring. I can agree a little, but I go, yeah,
- 1:13Speaker 4: but baseball sucks too, and I like baseball. If you
- 1:16Speaker 4: just came and you never watched baseball and a baseball
- 1:19Speaker 4: game came on, we wait all this time? Yeah, pitch,
- 1:23Speaker 4: okayall pitch another one. It sucks unless you grew up
- 1:30Speaker 4: watching it. That being said, I was watching that Germany
- 1:35Speaker 4: game and they go and they take penalty kicks and
- 1:37Speaker 4: Germany ends up losing. This has been a bit, but
- 1:39Speaker 4: the note I made is after the game, and after
- 1:42Speaker 4: Germany loses, they went to multiple players to take those
- 1:47Speaker 4: penalty kicks. I think three of them said no, I
- 1:49Speaker 4: don't want to do it. And the guy who finally
- 1:51Speaker 4: took the last penalty kick, who ended up getting blocked
- 1:53Speaker 4: or missing maybe he went over he was like, yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 4: I'll do it, but three players said no. And you
- 2:00Speaker 4: can look us up. Because it's been like six days.
- 2:03Speaker 4: I was in shock that these professional players playing for
- 2:07Speaker 4: their own country turned down taking penalty kicks because of
- 2:12Speaker 4: the pressure of the situation. What losers four of them?
- 2:18Speaker 4: It was a four read to me what you see
- 2:20Speaker 4: and where it's from.
- 2:21Speaker 5: Four German players reportedly refuse to step up for the
- 2:24Speaker 5: decisive six penalty kick because they went to extra kicks
- 2:28Speaker 5: because they were tied at the end, and they then
- 2:31Speaker 5: they go to sudden death penalty kicks.
- 2:32Speaker 4: By the way, call me twice when that happens. Penalty kicks.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Awesome sudden death penalty kicks, Like make sure I answer, yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 4: keep going.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Yeah. This is from barstools, So they posted it talking
- 2:42Speaker 5: about mentally weak German Germany players.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Mentally said yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 5: Four players said no. They have their names here and
- 2:51Speaker 5: I can't pronounce.
- 2:53Speaker 4: The last guy they went to is the only guy left,
- 2:55Speaker 4: and he's like, okay, I'll do it. And he had
- 2:56Speaker 4: never taken a professional penalty kick. I don't think ever.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Yeah, Jonathan tah T, a h who had never taken
- 3:02Speaker 5: a penalty kick in his career, stepped up and missed.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I hope they don't bust his balls when he gets
- 3:08Speaker 4: back to Germany or wherever he's going back to, because
- 3:11Speaker 4: he is the only one of those guys with the
- 3:14Speaker 4: nuts to do it, because everybody else is a little
- 3:17Speaker 4: that'll be yep, And I was thinking about us. The
- 3:21Speaker 4: only one of us I could see doing that would
- 3:23Speaker 4: be Eddie. No, like not wanting the pressure of it.
- 3:26Speaker 6: I mean, it's funny you say that because I was
- 3:28Speaker 6: listening to the you know that this whole part, and
- 3:30Speaker 6: I'm like, wow, well, I bet when that guy missed
- 3:32Speaker 6: the four, we're just like, see, that's not me because
- 3:36Speaker 6: I would have missed too.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but what if you make it, then you're the hero,
- 3:40Speaker 2: So just go do it.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Yeah, trained your whole life to have this opportunity, even
- 3:44Speaker 4: if you miss it. I would be sick at myself
- 3:48Speaker 4: for being a little worse and not even trying.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Yeah, the regret of not trying is worse.
- 3:54Speaker 6: Worse than did the story come out later that they
- 3:57Speaker 6: said no, or were they are on TV saying.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Like, oh no, no, But that would have been funny. No, no, no,
- 4:02Speaker 4: go to that guy. That would have been good tea because.
- 4:04Speaker 6: I wonder if they thought, like, well, this will never
- 4:06Speaker 6: get out, maybe just say no.
- 4:08Speaker 5: Maybe, Oh I would be if you're a teammate, I'd
- 4:10Speaker 5: be like that guy said no, that guy said no,
- 4:12Speaker 5: that guy said no.
- 4:14Speaker 4: It sucked. I felt bad for the guy who had
- 4:17Speaker 4: to take it and that he missed it, and then
- 4:19Speaker 4: whenever I wanted him to lose by the way, because
- 4:21Speaker 4: don't remember who they were playing, but I was rooting
- 4:23Speaker 4: for that other team because I think they were a
- 4:24Speaker 4: smaller team. But Paraguay, Yeah, oh yeah, Paraguay played France
- 4:28Speaker 4: within one.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Isn't that who the US beating the first game team?
- 4:31Speaker 5: That's right, so we're better than Germany.
- 4:33Speaker 4: But Eddie, I would see you as a guy who's like,
- 4:35Speaker 4: you know what, Pressure's not for me.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I mean I don't like pressure.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Yeah, but I feel like if I had made it
- 4:40Speaker 6: all the way to the World Cup, I have to
- 4:43Speaker 6: do it. It's my duty for that and for my nation,
- 4:47Speaker 6: for my country to kick that.
- 4:49Speaker 5: You wouldn't want to let people down, right, I.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Mean that kind of that's kind of like my personal person. Yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 6: I don't really want to let people down.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I don't give a crap. I'll let people down. But also,
- 4:58Speaker 4: if I'm letting you down, it's because I really want
- 5:00Speaker 4: to make you happy, and I'm letting you down because
- 5:02Speaker 4: I want it so bad for this to happen. So
- 5:05Speaker 4: that's what's up. I made that note because I could
- 5:07Speaker 4: not believe those professional athletes said.
- 5:11Speaker 2: No about penalty kicks, though, oh.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Give me more. I wish the whole game was that.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Why don't they just kick it in the middle, well,
- 5:16Speaker 2: because the goal is already there. Yeah, but they always jump, well,
- 5:19Speaker 2: they do kick.
- 5:20Speaker 4: It in the middle some I did see one recently
- 5:22Speaker 4: where they kicked in the middle.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And the guy didn't move and he caught it.
- 5:26Speaker 4: No, he jumped to the side.
- 5:27Speaker 6: Because usually I'm seeing these guys like, all right, I
- 5:29Speaker 6: got a pick you that left or right or up
- 5:31Speaker 6: or down door? Yeah, and usually the middle is wide open,
- 5:34Speaker 6: but they you know, no one kicks it down in
- 5:35Speaker 6: the middle.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I don't know the reasoning because I am an extreme casual.
- 5:39Speaker 4: I'm talking, I'm barely even casual. I'm like, what would
- 5:45Speaker 4: I be someone who accidentally drives by occasionally? You know,
- 5:51Speaker 4: it's like yeah, yeah, so even calling myself a casual
- 5:56Speaker 4: is unfair. I would think, though, if I'm just thinking
- 5:59Speaker 4: of the science of it, if you kick it to
- 6:02Speaker 4: a side, there's a chance that even if they jump
- 6:06Speaker 4: to that side, it still gets through. If you kick
- 6:09Speaker 4: it in the middle and they don't move, you're just
- 6:10Speaker 4: gonna hit them, but they're for sure going to stop it.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I think kicking it to a side gives you a
- 6:15Speaker 4: chance to get it through even if they picked the
- 6:17Speaker 4: right side. And we saw that in one of those
- 6:19Speaker 4: kicks because the guy blocked it and rolled underneath them.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw that.
- 6:22Speaker 4: So I don't know the real answer. But they don't
- 6:25Speaker 4: kick it to the middle often, but probably because of that, you.
- 6:27Speaker 5: Guys think they should bring on like a short, smaller
- 6:29Speaker 5: goal for the Yeah, well hockey didn't bring honestall. But
- 6:33Speaker 5: I'm just saying like hockey's a lot harder on the
- 6:35Speaker 5: shootouts than it is for a PK.
- 6:37Speaker 4: I feel like, did I do two balls on this one?
- 6:39Speaker 2: You did two balls?
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:40Speaker 4: Man, the two balls will be fine ball game. Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 4: two ball game.
- 6:42Speaker 2: And then one of thee was real, the other one's fake.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know which one's real and fake when
- 6:47Speaker 4: it starts. But it's like the cup game at the
- 6:49Speaker 4: baseball game when you're watching them under like if they're
- 6:51Speaker 4: start kicking it back and forth all of a sudden, you
- 6:53Speaker 4: don't know, you could lose it. Yeah, then you're chasing
- 6:55Speaker 4: the wrong one.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Brilliant man, Why don't we just do that?
- 6:58Speaker 4: Just do it in the last fifteen and it's an
- 7:00Speaker 4: extra time even that would be fun. Okay, Okay, that's
- 7:03Speaker 4: one note, and we'll get to current stuff in a minute.
- 7:06Speaker 4: You guys, following the Matt Miller from ESPN story.
- 7:09Speaker 5: No, I haven't seen anything like a week.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Is there more?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Oh?
- 7:12Speaker 2: No, what did Matt Miller do?
- 7:14Speaker 4: Do you know who Matt Miller is?
- 7:15Speaker 7: No?
- 7:15Speaker 4: So he is a draft analyst for ESPN. Now why
- 7:20Speaker 4: he popped up in the news recently? He hit another
- 7:23Speaker 4: car head on, lost his arm, and he was doing
- 7:26Speaker 4: a GoFundMe and it hit a certain point like ten thousand,
- 7:31Speaker 4: and he did what I hate when people do when
- 7:32Speaker 4: they have gofundmes. He said, Oh, I'm a ten thousand,
- 7:35Speaker 4: let me raise it twenty five. I hate when people
- 7:39Speaker 4: do that. Yeah, I want to take my money back
- 7:41Speaker 4: when people do that, because that just means, oh, you
- 7:42Speaker 4: met your goal. Oh now you see the opportunity to
- 7:44Speaker 4: make more like set of high then if you really
- 7:46Speaker 4: need a trillion dollars, set it at a trillion dollars.
- 7:50Speaker 2: So he did it.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I think he raised it twice, so that's a little irritating.
- 7:53Speaker 4: He did lose his arm and it's a bad accident. Well,
- 7:56Speaker 4: story started to come out and please pull it up,
- 7:58Speaker 4: so I'd love to be I won't say fact check
- 8:02Speaker 4: because I know what I'm going to say is right
- 8:04Speaker 4: based on what I read he was running ninety ninety
- 8:07Speaker 4: fantasy football leagues, and so he was the commissioner in
- 8:11Speaker 4: ninety leagues, and he's on an app that we use
- 8:15Speaker 4: in the league that I do do with Kevin Klug
- 8:18Speaker 4: and people were not getting paid. Now, I think you're
- 8:23Speaker 4: the commissioner of ninety league. You've taken all that money
- 8:25Speaker 4: in woh it's one hundred thousand dollars or so.
- 8:29Speaker 6: So these aren't like leagues that your buddies play in, right,
- 8:32Speaker 6: These are leagues that like random people fans or whatever doing.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Sure, it can be random league set up on the app.
- 8:41Speaker 4: It can be you get your public figure. Hey, I'm
- 8:45Speaker 4: doing this fantasy league jump out. He was a commissioner
- 8:47Speaker 4: of ninety leagues, took the money and like was slow
- 8:50Speaker 4: then slowly starting. There's a whole I think the Missouri
- 8:53Speaker 4: Attorney General is now looking into it.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Yeah, they're investigating right now.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Crazy story.
- 8:58Speaker 5: What are the heck?
- 8:59Speaker 4: Some people are speculating, pure speculation, that he was in
- 9:03Speaker 4: trouble so he tried to kill.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Himself in the car accident. It did involve another car though, right,
- 9:10Speaker 2: what do you.
- 9:10Speaker 4: See in that story?
- 9:11Speaker 5: I just see that they're investigating. I'm trying to look for.
- 9:13Speaker 4: More source me if you take anything specific from the article.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Okay, the investigation and the Miller comes after he was
- 9:20Speaker 5: accused of past financial improper proper.
- 9:24Speaker 4: You can get it rock pride for priety.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's a hard word.
- 9:30Speaker 3: That is weird.
- 9:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I buy numerous people both on social media and
- 9:34Speaker 5: by awful announcing this is USA today dot com. By
- 9:36Speaker 5: the way, several individuals outline they had failed to receive
- 9:39Speaker 5: payments for fantasy football leagues, football camps, and scouting lessons
- 9:43Speaker 5: in which Miller was involved in.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Dirty dollars like ninety leagues. Dang man, So that happened,
- 9:51Speaker 4: It's crazy story. I didn't know if that popping your
- 9:53Speaker 4: algorithms at all.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I saw the accident, but.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I haven't seen anything since. He was like, oh,
- 9:58Speaker 5: you know, I'll be on the road recovery. Like I
- 10:00Speaker 5: was like, dang, I feel awful for him.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Still yeah you still can but yeah, arm Yeah that sucks.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Another note that I have in summer league, as far
- 10:13Speaker 4: as the NBA is concerned, they're doing the one free
- 10:15Speaker 4: throw rule. I love it. So let's say you get found,
- 10:19Speaker 4: you got two free throws, you shoot one free throw
- 10:21Speaker 4: for both both points.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, they do that in my kids summer league.
- 10:24Speaker 4: It's the greatest. It's like the pitch clock. There's no
- 10:27Speaker 4: need shoots free throw keep the game going, no need
- 10:30Speaker 4: to do two free throws, no need to do three.
- 10:31Speaker 4: If you get fouled a three pointer, you do three.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Now they they do in the last two minutes. I believe,
- 10:37Speaker 4: go back to normal rules of the game.
- 10:39Speaker 2: But they don't do that in my kids.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Legue the pressure it's on.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah, I think they just don't want to do any
- 10:44Speaker 4: like stupid rules because this could be considered stupid at
- 10:47Speaker 4: the end of a game. Although it's summer league. So
- 10:49Speaker 4: who gets a cry out?
- 10:50Speaker 2: So what do you like? Just the speed of it?
- 10:52Speaker 4: Yep, let's move. When we get to sit and wait,
- 10:55Speaker 4: take a couple of deep breaths, especially if Whimmy's doing it,
- 10:57Speaker 4: it's thirty five freaking seconds before he shoots.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Well he does a little yoga before.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and there and there's gonna be more missed free throws,
- 11:03Speaker 4: which I like because that first one is missed way
- 11:06Speaker 4: more than the second one because you kind of calibrate
- 11:08Speaker 4: if you missed the first one to the second one.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Correct. Usually they make the second one. Yeah, except Mitchell Robinson.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he kind of suck.
- 11:16Speaker 3: He throws.
- 11:17Speaker 2: He takes a long time and misses the free throw.
- 11:19Speaker 4: At your guy, though, I gotta be ask my guy.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Now, you just all right taking shots? Alright, you're a
- 11:24Speaker 5: new guys, my guy, all right, you're talking about the champions.
- 11:28Speaker 6: About your new guy though, Like, God, do you play
- 11:31Speaker 6: in the NBA, dude, Like, you know what, all off season,
- 11:34Speaker 6: we're gonna work on free throws.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Forget the big man moves, forget the rebounds. We are
- 11:39Speaker 2: going to work on free throws.
- 11:41Speaker 5: That's all he makes his money, though, Dude, he gets
- 11:44Speaker 5: there to make your money rebounding, playing defense, being the
- 11:47Speaker 5: tough guy. Like, hey, man, if you have a weakness
- 11:50Speaker 5: in your game, it's all right. He's still getting paid
- 11:51Speaker 5: forty seven million dollars and pay.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I'm talking about winning games.
- 11:55Speaker 4: Also, I would like to say this. I think if
- 11:57Speaker 4: you're a guard, Yes, I think if you're a big man,
- 11:59Speaker 4: it's harder. One you're way taller the ball, your hands
- 12:02Speaker 4: are bigger on the ball. It's harder to shoot free throws.
- 12:05Speaker 4: If you're a larger person, sure, because you're more you're
- 12:09Speaker 4: top of your heads more parallel with the rim not
- 12:12Speaker 4: it's why. Yeah, and you have to shoot it up
- 12:15Speaker 4: higher to get so that's a part of the science
- 12:18Speaker 4: of it. But I agree, there are big guys who
- 12:19Speaker 4: can shootree throws pretty well.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Yeah, let's just work on it.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Most can.
- 12:22Speaker 4: But we were talking to the Texas Tech coach. I said, hey, like,
- 12:27Speaker 4: how do you get your team to be better free
- 12:29Speaker 4: throw shooters? And he goes, you recruit better free throw shooters. Yes, like,
- 12:33Speaker 4: you don't teach them. If you want good free throw shooters,
- 12:36Speaker 4: you recruit better free throw shooters.
- 12:38Speaker 6: But they became better free throw shooters by practicing.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Yeah, but they are kind of have those they did
- 12:44Speaker 4: that already, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, if it matters
- 12:47Speaker 4: to them.
- 12:47Speaker 6: Yes, it's crazy, dude, Mitchell Robinson just takes forever the
- 12:50Speaker 6: line and then missus both shots.
- 12:52Speaker 5: I understand that. Like, if you're gonna miss it, just
- 12:54Speaker 5: miss it and let's move on.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Yeah, so I'm for the rule. Yeah, I like I like.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Speeding the game you do and everything you watch.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Yeah, let's move it along, let's go. Okay, that's another
- 13:05Speaker 4: note I have there. I want to get to this
- 13:07Speaker 4: one in a minute. This note is us soccer is corrupt.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Let's see the World Cup or US soccer.
- 13:14Speaker 4: We're corrupt right now. Where's corrupt? Is anything I've ever
- 13:16Speaker 4: seen interesting?
- 13:17Speaker 2: The red card?
- 13:18Speaker 4: Yes, come back to that. I felt weird last night
- 13:24Speaker 4: watching that game. It was a by the way, I
- 13:26Speaker 4: think that's the greatest environment I've ever seen in any
- 13:29Speaker 4: athletic endeavor, ever, any sporting event ever, more so than
- 13:34Speaker 4: Alabama LSU and freaking Depth Valley.
- 13:37Speaker 6: That's the stadium where I told you where they throw
- 13:40Speaker 6: the p that's the stadium.
- 13:41Speaker 2: That's all the cowboys there throw. Yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Yeah, they throw like they pee and bottles and they
- 13:47Speaker 6: throw it down in the field.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Or you didn't go to that game. No, she's never
- 13:50Speaker 4: been out of the country.
- 13:51Speaker 2: No, I've been in Mexico many times, Mexico City.
- 13:53Speaker 4: I thought you had never been.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Can you have a passport, dude?
- 13:55Speaker 6: You didn't need a passport when I was young, birth certificate.
- 13:59Speaker 4: So did you guys watch that Mexico England game.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little bit.
- 14:02Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 14:04Speaker 5: It was Yeah, my eyes were I couldn't stop me either.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I've never seen anything like it. Soccer is boring. That
- 14:09Speaker 4: was not boring. It wasn't because of soccer. That entire stadium.
- 14:14Speaker 4: They did not stop. I don't know that. To me,
- 14:18Speaker 4: I was that was a magnetic television event. If you
- 14:21Speaker 4: never watched soccer and that's the game you watch, you going, okay,
- 14:24Speaker 4: maybe they little kicky kick, it gets kind of boring,
- 14:26Speaker 4: but the environment, the vibe, yeah why. And also was
- 14:30Speaker 4: a crazy game because it was zero zero, then it
- 14:31Speaker 4: was one, there's two, oh, there's one, two, all within
- 14:34Speaker 4: like a few minutes and you're going, oh my god.
- 14:36Speaker 4: So I got some thoughts. It felt weird every time
- 14:40Speaker 4: they would call them Mexicans. I'll be honest with you.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Did the announcer say the Mexicans.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeah. A couple of times they were like, okay, over
- 14:46Speaker 4: to the Mexicans. And I'm like, I won't refer to
- 14:48Speaker 4: a group as Hispanic or Mexican people as the Mexicans
- 14:51Speaker 4: because and I we have our I have my Mexican
- 14:55Speaker 4: group thread that we do and it's me and all
- 14:57Speaker 4: my Mexican friends. See, although Eddie never jumped in.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I don't like text threads.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Yeah, this this one was fun.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 15:04Speaker 5: You didn't the Mexican one last night?
- 15:06Speaker 2: I was asleep, dude, I didn't watch the game. I
- 15:08Speaker 2: was asleep.
- 15:09Speaker 4: The first thing I said, which I thought was funny,
- 15:10Speaker 4: I said, how is there a black dude named?
- 15:12Speaker 2: That's what I remember me telling you. There's a black
- 15:15Speaker 2: dude in the Mexican team.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 4: I thought it was gonna be like Wilson.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I just saw him, like, wow, that's interesting, Like.
- 15:22Speaker 4: His dad moved down, married a Mexican woman. His name
- 15:25Speaker 4: is Sean Wilson.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And he's not a dark dude. He's a black dude dude.
- 15:30Speaker 4: And I thought there's a Mexican dude named and so
- 15:32Speaker 4: I sent that to the group text and Mike just
- 15:35Speaker 4: responded with the Mexican flags. That was only response to it.
- 15:39Speaker 4: And then Mike Sigin said, you never heard a study abroad.
- 15:43Speaker 2: That's funny. That's what you guys said on the text thread.
- 15:45Speaker 4: It was popping last night. I mean, in this thread,
- 15:48Speaker 4: I am an honorary Mexican because it's all my Hispanic
- 15:52Speaker 4: and Mexicans.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you're not the white guy.
- 15:55Speaker 4: I'm part of the culture in his texture because it's
- 15:58Speaker 4: actually called lifelong Latino cowboy fan, because everybody's a cowboy
- 16:01Speaker 4: fan except for me.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and we're Latinos.
- 16:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I got that.
- 16:06Speaker 4: All of us. N I said, it feels racist. They
- 16:09Speaker 4: keep referring to the people as Mexicans, and then Signs said,
- 16:13Speaker 4: as long as there isn't an adjective in front of it,
- 16:14Speaker 4: it's cool.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Like dumb Mexican, he said, like fast, mean or dirty.
- 16:20Speaker 4: No sun sign is Mexicans.
- 16:22Speaker 6: Say that, Yeah, but it just for But they don't
- 16:26Speaker 6: say that for any They don't say like, oh, the
- 16:28Speaker 6: Germans have the baby, they say Germany has.
- 16:30Speaker 4: They do say Germans though, the Germans, Yeah they do,
- 16:32Speaker 4: they do. Yeah. It just felt weird that they would
- 16:35Speaker 4: be like, okay, and here come the Mexicans. I'm like,
- 16:36Speaker 4: I didn't say no, no, no, no, no, no, not for me.
- 16:41Speaker 4: I'm getting offended because I am one in this text thread.
- 16:45Speaker 5: That game was really good the last twenty twenty five
- 16:48Speaker 5: minutes when they were down to ten and they were
- 16:49Speaker 5: just like on the defense England was I was like,
- 16:51Speaker 5: oh my gosh, it was like hockey when they're down
- 16:54Speaker 5: a guy and it's just NonStop, go go go.
- 16:56Speaker 4: I was rooting for Mexico really hard. I don't know
- 16:58Speaker 4: if you white.
- 16:59Speaker 2: People were, Yeah, who are you white people rooting for?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Not you us, the US.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Mexico. Yeah, I don't, dude, I'm from something. Call at
- 17:10Speaker 5: forty Mexican friends I have.
- 17:12Speaker 2: He did.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I got a black friend. I got a black friend.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Hey, do you know one?
- 17:17Speaker 5: I'm the token white guys too.
- 17:22Speaker 4: All right, I'm not toking white in this.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Okay, Well, I'm the what did you call it? Uh?
- 17:27Speaker 4: A Latino?
- 17:28Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 17:29Speaker 4: You people?
- 17:31Speaker 2: What do you mean? What do you mean? You people?
- 17:34Speaker 4: And your Mexican friends? Wild game? And at the end,
- 17:39Speaker 4: I said, it makes me proud to be a Mexican.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Good dude, guys, and then we did some salutes and
- 17:43Speaker 4: we called it. That was a really amazing game. I
- 17:45Speaker 4: felt bad for Mexico's running for them really hard. But
- 17:48Speaker 4: what I did because there's been some guys that I've
- 17:52Speaker 4: looked up because I'm just curious how good they are
- 17:54Speaker 4: outside of the World Cup, Like are they good club players?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Where do they play? Do they play in the Premier League?
- 18:01Speaker 4: Do they play? And I learned about all these different leagues,
- 18:04Speaker 4: and so I'm gonna tell you what I looked up
- 18:07Speaker 4: and share this because I thought it was pretty interesting.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I said, compare these three players. So have you seen
- 18:18Speaker 4: Arling Holland the guy from Norway, six foot four. It
- 18:22Speaker 4: kicks the ball so freaking hard and he's awesome. He
- 18:24Speaker 4: had a brace. He had a brace?
- 18:25Speaker 2: Is I'll just learned, no two.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Goals hat Trick's three? Bracey? Yeah, never heard that he
- 18:31Speaker 4: had a brace yesterday? Yep. Oh, guys, I'm totally in.
- 18:35Speaker 4: My first thing is is Harry Kine good because he
- 18:38Speaker 4: was the captain of the England team. And then I'm
- 18:41Speaker 4: obsessed with the Erling Holland guy. And then I said, okay,
- 18:46Speaker 4: compare Arling Holland from Norway, Harry Kine from England, and
- 18:53Speaker 4: Christian Polistic from America to NFL and NBA players, so
- 18:57Speaker 4: I have a better idea of how good they are
- 19:00Speaker 4: and what they're like in soccer. It's awesome. But they
- 19:05Speaker 4: gave me back because I like feel like I know
- 19:07Speaker 4: what their jobs are now. Okay. I think these comparisons
- 19:11Speaker 4: will make sense if you watch mostly NFL and NBA.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Earling Holland from Norway NFL comparison, Randy Moss NBA comparison.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Shaquille O'Neill freak athlete, physically overwhelming, does not need a
- 19:25Speaker 4: million touches. Give him opportunities. He changes the game. He
- 19:28Speaker 4: is built to dominate, so the Norway did. He's six
- 19:32Speaker 4: four to two ten. By the way, he looks like
- 19:33Speaker 4: a monster. It's like him and a bunch of kids
- 19:37Speaker 4: playing it, like when he scores and they celebrate like Daddy,
- 19:39Speaker 4: you did it. They run around him. Okay, so he
- 19:44Speaker 4: is freak athlete. Harry Kane, the guy from England last
- 19:50Speaker 4: night tim against Yip, Yeah, who looks like he works
- 19:54Speaker 4: at the smoothie shop, like he's just a normal white dude.
- 19:57Speaker 4: His NFL comparison is Peyton Manning. His his NBA comparison
- 20:01Speaker 4: is Jokic. Not the biggest athletic marvel, but incredibly intelligent,
- 20:07Speaker 4: elite scorer who also creates for everyone else. His vision
- 20:10Speaker 4: is almost as valuable as is finishing. Both are elite,
- 20:15Speaker 4: so he's very much really good, but also really smart.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Manning and Jokic. Uh Polisic from the United States, Christian McCaffrey,
- 20:24Speaker 4: Donovan Mitchell, quick, explosive a tax defenders one on one,
- 20:30Speaker 4: creates offense with speed and skill, does not overpower people,
- 20:33Speaker 4: but beats them with agility and timing. So there you go.
- 20:37Speaker 4: If they were NFL stars, Norway Holland Randy Moss catching
- 20:40Speaker 4: de balls doesn't need fifteen touches Caine. Like Peyton, Manning
- 20:43Speaker 4: reads the field, makes everyone around a better holistic like McCaffrey.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Every touch is dangerous, versatile enough to score set someone
- 20:50Speaker 4: else up.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Okay, that's cool.
- 20:53Speaker 5: That makes sense. Now in my head, I can watch
- 20:54Speaker 5: them and be.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Like, that's christ because I need to know, so I
- 20:57Speaker 4: need to dumb it down. I find a common de
- 20:59Speaker 4: nomine American sports and then yeah, so that's what I do,
- 21:05Speaker 4: Ai man, you use it right?
- 21:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 4: I turned to like take over people and rule the country.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Need those data centers. Though maybe for.
- 21:12Speaker 4: This I'm up. I start to I start to fight
- 21:15Speaker 4: for the one by the zoo here in Townhi, guys, no, no, no,
- 21:18Speaker 4: I think we need the one to help me understand
- 21:20Speaker 4: the world.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Come privately funding.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Okay, let's see. I got felt weird them saying Mexicans.
- 21:28Speaker 4: I got the three players in their comps.
- 21:30Speaker 5: What about last night's game? I just thought about it.
- 21:32Speaker 4: I got two more notes. I gotta get rid of
- 21:33Speaker 4: these notes. Start interrupt. Okay, two more notes before I
- 21:37Speaker 4: can put my phone down. The Mexican fans outside the
- 21:42Speaker 4: England hotels messed up due so funny. Now they will
- 21:46Speaker 4: do this in college football sometimes, but not to this level.
- 21:49Speaker 2: They're like playing drums, they were shooting fireworks.
- 21:52Speaker 4: They were NonStop music. They had mariachi out there playing.
- 21:56Speaker 4: They found where the English team was playing and they
- 21:58Speaker 4: just played and that's so funny.
- 22:01Speaker 2: They did it outside their hotel.
- 22:02Speaker 5: I saw that they were on like a bridge or something, right, yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 5: and then England like they got a bunch of hotels
- 22:10Speaker 5: so they couldn't find them, but.
- 22:11Speaker 4: They laugh out loud type stuff. And then I was
- 22:15Speaker 4: I saw one of the guys being interviewed and he
- 22:17Speaker 4: was like, I think this. I think there's like music.
- 22:19Speaker 4: We're just doing it because we want you know, they're
- 22:21Speaker 4: not from here, so we want to play them some music.
- 22:23Speaker 4: So yeah, that was funny. Okay, I have one other thing,
- 22:29Speaker 4: but it's gonna be the last thing. What were we
- 22:30Speaker 4: gonna say?
- 22:30Speaker 5: I was just gonna ask if you guys might might
- 22:32Speaker 5: know like the stuff they had on their head the
- 22:34Speaker 5: Mexican players, like a little brace or something said Mexican.
- 22:37Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell you about the one guy because I
- 22:38Speaker 4: looked at players. We really need a data center because
- 22:42Speaker 4: I looked this up. Okay, by the zoo, we need
- 22:46Speaker 4: ride by the Zebras. So the guy that has like
- 22:53Speaker 4: like an eye patch but a thing on his face. Yes, okay,
- 22:55Speaker 4: and to let me fine.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Oh that wasn't an eye patch.
- 22:58Speaker 4: No, No, he's to be fun Sometimes he turns it
- 23:00Speaker 4: and puts it on as an ips.
- 23:01Speaker 2: That's what I thought.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Yes, here we go. Jimenez fractured a skull in twenty
- 23:08Speaker 4: twenty in a match, like he hit heads with somebody else,
- 23:11Speaker 4: fractured a skull, and he wears the band to protect it.
- 23:14Speaker 2: So it's like a hard shield on the cheek or something.
- 23:17Speaker 5: So it's like when NBA players have a broken nose.
- 23:19Speaker 4: They wear the mask when he scores, though, sometimes he
- 23:22Speaker 4: does put it up and where does an eyebrais to
- 23:23Speaker 4: be funny, I would do that, yeah, Jimenez, Right, Mike, Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 4: he fractured a skull. Wow, dude, I'm I'm balls deep
- 23:29Speaker 4: in Ai watching soccer. I just want to learn everything
- 23:33Speaker 4: about it.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Have you ever hit a header? It hurts?
- 23:36Speaker 4: It hurts so bad, not even ahead or just someone
- 23:38Speaker 4: throws the ball and I'm like, get that out.
- 23:40Speaker 2: They act like it's no big deal. Every time. I
- 23:43Speaker 2: would be like, ow, my head hurts.
- 23:44Speaker 4: Maybe if you're aggressive towards it. It's different, but it's
- 23:48Speaker 4: still that's got to be a callous head, right, Like
- 23:50Speaker 4: you got to build into it.
- 23:51Speaker 2: But what about the brain. The brain's shaking every time, right.
- 23:54Speaker 4: More people get concussions in soccer than football.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I've heard that.
- 23:57Speaker 4: I've heard that before. Okay, America's we're cheating.
- 24:01Speaker 2: Okay, let's hear this.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Well, no, we're cheating. So it doesn't matter if you
- 24:05Speaker 4: agree with the ruling or not. So I gotta say that.
- 24:07Speaker 4: So first of all, that red card that we got,
- 24:10Speaker 4: I'm such a casual. I just want to say it again.
- 24:12Speaker 4: I'm not speaking from anything other than just watching and
- 24:15Speaker 4: then reading a bunch of stuff. I don't think we
- 24:17Speaker 4: should have got a red card for that. During the game,
- 24:20Speaker 4: they went back, they go to the system. I think
- 24:22Speaker 4: they use the same.
- 24:23Speaker 2: AI I use.
- 24:25Speaker 4: He doesn't types it in and they go, okay, red card,
- 24:29Speaker 4: so they kick him out. That was unfair. It wasn't unfair.
- 24:32Speaker 4: It was an interpretation because he did step on them,
- 24:34Speaker 4: although it looked like very easily, it shouldn't have been
- 24:37Speaker 4: a red card. But he's got a red card. He's
- 24:39Speaker 4: out that game, he's out the next game. It's like
- 24:41Speaker 4: targeting in college football. Yes, yeah, second half, Yeah, you're
- 24:46Speaker 4: out first first half of the next game. Except this
- 24:49Speaker 4: is a full, full game, so that sucks. And he's,
- 24:54Speaker 4: you know, our second best scorer. Yeah, like pulistics one,
- 25:00Speaker 4: he's two. He's been scoring. He's red cards. That's done.
- 25:03Speaker 4: They've only ever reversed one of the red card. It
- 25:05Speaker 4: was like nineteen sixty eight or something.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Sixty two.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah, some some, So all right, we're gonna play. We
- 25:11Speaker 4: were still slightly a betting.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Favorite over Belgium even with him missing.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Even with him missing, and next man up here to
- 25:18Speaker 4: think about us in America? We keep next guy up.
- 25:21Speaker 5: Amen.
- 25:22Speaker 4: All of a sudden, red card's been overturned. Turns out
- 25:25Speaker 4: the White House called stop. Oh did you not know this?
- 25:28Speaker 3: No?
- 25:28Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't know that. That's why. Yeah, I
- 25:30Speaker 2: thought FIFA.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Trump called FIFA, who then called the independent governing body
- 25:39Speaker 4: and they overturned the card.
- 25:41Speaker 2: What on earth?
- 25:42Speaker 4: And I'm all for winning and I love that our
- 25:44Speaker 4: guy gets to play, except it sucks. He shouldn't play.
- 25:48Speaker 4: He shouldn't play.
- 25:49Speaker 5: It puts such a big target on our back.
- 25:51Speaker 4: And not only that, it's like we win this, it's
- 25:54Speaker 4: like yeah, of course you won. You cheated, and soccer
- 25:56Speaker 4: is so corrupt anyway. It's like Don King. It's what
- 25:59Speaker 4: it reminds me of, just boxing promoters in general.
- 26:02Speaker 2: And all the line on the field.
- 26:05Speaker 4: I don't care about that.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I know, no, that's theatrics every single time.
- 26:09Speaker 4: But I feel like the World Cup gets given to
- 26:12Speaker 4: like Qatar because they gave him. I feel like it's
- 26:14Speaker 4: very corrupt, and we complained about it, but now we're
- 26:18Speaker 4: a part of it. It is so cool. This is
- 26:20Speaker 4: the worst cheating. It's bladant. The White House admitted they
- 26:23Speaker 4: called this is Trump in a press conference maybe even
- 26:26Speaker 4: this morning talking about it.
- 26:29Speaker 8: So I saw the play, and I'm a person that
- 26:31Speaker 8: loves sports and was a good athlete. I understand sports
- 26:34Speaker 8: really well. And that wasn't a foul. That wasn't even
- 26:38Speaker 8: an infraction. There was two guys running full speed that
- 26:41Speaker 8: happened to crash into each other.
- 26:42Speaker 4: And pause up one second.
- 26:44Speaker 8: Referee.
- 26:44Speaker 4: It doesn't matter if it was a foul or not.
- 26:47Speaker 4: After the game, it doesn't matter the ref called it.
- 26:48Speaker 4: The rule is the ref calls it. That stands. They
- 26:51Speaker 4: even came out the day after it said we can't
- 26:52Speaker 4: review it. It is not within what we can do
- 26:55Speaker 4: to review. This red card stands. They said that. So
- 26:58Speaker 4: that being said, I agree, it did not look like
- 27:02Speaker 4: a red card to me. But that doesn't matter because
- 27:05Speaker 4: once the game is over and the call is made,
- 27:07Speaker 4: it is complete.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Who is a little.
- 27:11Speaker 8: Bit suspect if you check his past. I don't want
- 27:14Speaker 8: to say that because I don't like to create controversy,
- 27:17Speaker 8: but very suspect. He made a call that nobody could believe.
- 27:22Speaker 8: You know, our best player or one of our best players,
- 27:25Speaker 8: a very any gave him a red card. I didn't
- 27:27Speaker 8: know what that meant. I didn't think it meant much.
- 27:29Speaker 8: Then I started hearing that that means you can't play
- 27:32Speaker 8: in the next game, at least in the next game.
- 27:36Speaker 8: And they say you can't play. That's very unfair that.
- 27:40Speaker 8: You know, it's one thing to penalize somebody for the game,
- 27:43Speaker 8: but how do you penalize them for a game that
- 27:45Speaker 8: hasn't been played yet. It's very unfair.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You can't do that.
- 27:47Speaker 8: So yes, I asked for a review by FIFA. I
- 27:53Speaker 8: spoke to a man who's highly respected and by the way,
- 27:56Speaker 8: whose level of respect has gone up tenfold.
- 28:01Speaker 4: We cheated, We cheated. It sucks. I still hope we
- 28:05Speaker 4: win and I'll be cheering tonight like crazy. But we cheated.
- 28:08Speaker 2: That's so bad. I didn't know that. That's how it
- 28:10Speaker 2: went down.
- 28:10Speaker 4: Everyone hates us, yeah, and now more. And I'm okay
- 28:14Speaker 4: with being the villain.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:16Speaker 4: If I'm the villain because you just don't like something
- 28:18Speaker 4: I'm doing or saying you don't agree with me, that's fine.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I never want to be the villain because you think
- 28:22Speaker 4: I'm cheating. We're cheating, But is this par for the
- 28:27Speaker 4: course in soccer? But you can never complain about corruption
- 28:31Speaker 4: or cheating again if you're also doing it. This is
- 28:34Speaker 4: the most bladed most of the time. When it happens,
- 28:37Speaker 4: you're like, okay, some fishy is happening here. Guitars getting
- 28:42Speaker 4: the World Cup, this is yeah. I called yeah, it
- 28:49Speaker 4: was unreviewable. They came out the next dance that it
- 28:51Speaker 4: cannot be reviewed based on the rules of the World Cup.
- 28:54Speaker 4: We cannot review done. If our Belgium I consider not playing.
- 29:02Speaker 5: And they filed an appeal and that already that got
- 29:04Speaker 5: denied because they think they.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Appelled a trump.
- 29:07Speaker 6: But if they don't play, then they forfeit and they're
- 29:11Speaker 6: out but just to make a statement, don't play.
- 29:16Speaker 4: It would piss me off that bad that I think
- 29:19Speaker 4: I would go, especially if I thought I was gonna lose. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 4: because then you don't. Then you don't lose. Yeah, And
- 29:24Speaker 4: you stood, you stood.
- 29:25Speaker 2: You stood your ground.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Ye.
- 29:27Speaker 4: I want to win tonight. I'll be rooting hard. We cheated.
- 29:30Speaker 4: That sucks. I wanted to play without him and win.
- 29:34Speaker 4: If I were him, i'd have I'd have trouble playing.
- 29:37Speaker 5: I was wondering that too. Is like, can you play
- 29:39Speaker 5: and like feel good about it if you're him?
- 29:41Speaker 2: No, I can't. There's no way.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 29:45Speaker 5: I don't like it, A little sour taste in your mouth.
- 29:47Speaker 2: It's definitely dirty.
- 29:48Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 29:49Speaker 6: So then Trump call and reverse the des Bryant catch call, because.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I would love that.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Oh man, that would be so great.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I call the NFL.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I don't know. I was looking at the table.
- 30:06Speaker 5: I know sports pretty well as an athlete myself, but
- 30:11Speaker 5: I didn't know what a red card was.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Right, he got the ball, and then you've got Brian.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Oh my god, dude, that's funny. All right, let's take
- 30:20Speaker 4: a break. We'll talk NBA in a second. All right.
- 30:23Speaker 4: We got one of my favorites on while Law Murray
- 30:26Speaker 4: is back with us. And by the way, if you
- 30:28Speaker 4: want to go follow him, Law Murray the in U,
- 30:32Speaker 4: we'll go back to that in just a second. I
- 30:34Speaker 4: do want to start with what you want to start with,
- 30:36Speaker 4: and I want to kind of lay out the menu.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Law we can do Jaylen Brown, we can do Kawhi,
- 30:39Speaker 4: we can do Walker Kessler in the whole Lakers situation,
- 30:42Speaker 4: John Morant or Lebron It's a it's a menu, and
- 30:45Speaker 4: I want you to lead us.
- 30:46Speaker 7: Yeah, well it's your show. I'll just say that. And
- 30:52Speaker 7: I'll also say that I have a new story up
- 30:54Speaker 7: at the Athletic Monday morning because I finally was able
- 30:58Speaker 7: to look at what left with the Clippers. I think
- 31:01Speaker 7: the bigger story obviously was Kawhi leaving and what that
- 31:05Speaker 7: part of it was Kawhi actually not being a Clipper
- 31:09Speaker 7: for the first time in eight seasons. But the Clippers
- 31:12Speaker 7: aren't going to play basketball, I can I can confirm that,
- 31:16Speaker 7: and that means they will have non Kawhi Leonard players
- 31:20Speaker 7: on their team. So that is new. That is what
- 31:24Speaker 7: it was fresh up of mine. I will I'll just
- 31:26Speaker 7: say that.
- 31:26Speaker 4: So I'm a subscriber. I read all your stuff. I
- 31:29Speaker 4: haven't read that yet because we start really early here,
- 31:31Speaker 4: but so I'm pulling it up now. So there's no
- 31:35Speaker 4: hard And obviously, because he's with Cleveland, there's no Kawhi. Obviously,
- 31:40Speaker 4: who are the Clippers even going to be?
- 31:41Speaker 7: They're going to be the team led by Darris Garland
- 31:45Speaker 7: and Brandon Ingram as currently constructed, and that is a
- 31:50Speaker 7: team that I've seen Toronto lu coach talent that did
- 31:56Speaker 7: not amount to two guys who are recent All Stars
- 32:00Speaker 7: to a winning season.
- 32:02Speaker 3: I look back at.
- 32:03Speaker 7: The twenty twenty one twenty two season win, Kawhi was
- 32:06Speaker 7: out the entire year due to acl surgery, and they
- 32:10Speaker 7: were asking Paul George to lead the team without another
- 32:14Speaker 7: All Star next to him. You know that opening week
- 32:17Speaker 7: starting lineup with something like Reggie Jackson, Eric Bledsoe, Marcus
- 32:22Speaker 7: Morris who wound up missing the basically the first month
- 32:25Speaker 7: of the season himself. And if it's a Zubots before
- 32:29Speaker 7: the version of it, if it's a Zubots, that could
- 32:30Speaker 7: garner a return of Godfather return that the Clippers got
- 32:35Speaker 7: this past February. And then people who may recall Paul
- 32:39Speaker 7: Torre Ligman and his elbow and wound of missing three
- 32:41Speaker 7: months to that season. They still that team still won
- 32:43Speaker 7: forty two games and still should have clinched the playoffs spot.
- 32:45Speaker 7: They flunked the play touring in and so Toronto lou
- 32:49Speaker 7: is arguably the Clippers' best asset. He's been treated as such,
- 32:54Speaker 7: and he's going to work with two guys who he
- 32:56Speaker 7: should have a great familiar with, especially Garland being that
- 33:00Speaker 7: he played March in April for the Clippers, and with
- 33:04Speaker 7: Brandon Ingram, you're not replacing Kawhi Leonard. But if you
- 33:07Speaker 7: wanted to get a guy who is along those lines
- 33:11Speaker 7: in terms of how they using the spots they like
- 33:13Speaker 7: to get to, then yeah, you're you're knocking you You're
- 33:18Speaker 7: going down a tire. The same thing with Harden as
- 33:21Speaker 7: far as moving on from him and having Garland. But
- 33:23Speaker 7: you can have a good offense if those two guys
- 33:26Speaker 7: are playing a respectable amount of minutes together and respect
- 33:29Speaker 7: amount of games together. It's about filling out everything else
- 33:33Speaker 7: as far as your depth, as far as how you
- 33:35Speaker 7: are trying to defend, as far as your identity, and
- 33:39Speaker 7: it's it's it's July sixth I think that the Clippers
- 33:43Speaker 7: are going to need these three months to figure things
- 33:46Speaker 7: out in that regard so that you don't have to
- 33:48Speaker 7: play basketball game tomorrow. And with that in mind, I
- 33:51Speaker 7: think over the next three weeks you will see another
- 33:54Speaker 7: piece added to the Clippers. Who and how that piece
- 33:58Speaker 7: gets to the Clippers that is that is why we're
- 34:01Speaker 7: here to figure out all of that.
- 34:02Speaker 4: So your article went up while we were doing our show,
- 34:06Speaker 4: So I got it right here just to prove to you.
- 34:07Speaker 4: I'm a fan and I read and I'm a subscriber.
- 34:10Speaker 4: So it's what post Kawhi Clippers have in brandon Ingram
- 34:14Speaker 4: and the remaining voids to fill to compete, and so
- 34:17Speaker 4: that is from law to his article that just went up.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Is that and probably it's not. But is there any
- 34:23Speaker 4: chance because he does love to play golf and he
- 34:24Speaker 4: doesn't have to move, is that other person any chance
- 34:27Speaker 4: going to be Lebron?
- 34:28Speaker 7: I don't see it, just because I feel like for
- 34:33Speaker 7: some players, the story of the narrative doesn't matter, and
- 34:36Speaker 7: I feel like for Lebron it does. And I don't
- 34:39Speaker 7: think that Lebron would leave Cleveland or sorry, he would
- 34:44Speaker 7: leave Cleveland twice.
- 34:45Speaker 3: We knew that.
- 34:46Speaker 7: I don't think he'd leave the Lakers to come to
- 34:48Speaker 7: the Clippers. I just don't see that. I don't see
- 34:51Speaker 7: them being a legitimate option for Lebron now. Basketball wise,
- 34:59Speaker 7: it makes a ton of sense, and the connections are
- 35:01Speaker 7: all there, and as you mentioned, he wouldn't have to
- 35:05Speaker 7: move so you know, if this was if this was
- 35:09Speaker 7: not that, then yeah. I mean I've seen the Clippers
- 35:12Speaker 7: signed twilight guys before. It was Paul Pierce a decade ago,
- 35:17Speaker 7: you know, for his Fair World tour that went very poorly.
- 35:20Speaker 7: But whatever, you know, like I could, it's it's happened.
- 35:26Speaker 7: I mean, shoot, think Chris Paul just signed just last year.
- 35:29Speaker 7: You know obviously that was the worst Fair World Tour
- 35:32Speaker 7: you'll hopefully ever see. So I'm not treating Lebron James
- 35:37Speaker 7: as a legitimate option for the Clippers. I will say
- 35:41Speaker 7: that basketball wise and logistics wise, it makes a ton
- 35:44Speaker 7: of sense. It just doesn't make sense for Lebron's quote
- 35:47Speaker 7: unquote story that he's going to want to be bolstering.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Kawi had one year left on his deal, so they
- 35:52Speaker 4: tried him to the Raptors. Why would they trade him.
- 35:56Speaker 7: Because you have to max max out. That's that's pretty
- 36:00Speaker 7: much shit. I mean with Kawhi, it's like, are you
- 36:03Speaker 7: going to commit to any kind of contract with him,
- 36:06Speaker 7: a long term deal of maximum contract And it doesn't
- 36:10Speaker 7: sound like the Clippers were really trying to do that.
- 36:13Speaker 7: But you also have to determine this who where does
- 36:17Speaker 7: Kawhi want to go in terms of where he could
- 36:20Speaker 7: get paid as well? Is there a match there and
- 36:23Speaker 7: do you have the time to make something worth it.
- 36:29Speaker 7: I mean, they got a pretty damn good return from
- 36:31Speaker 7: a draft capital perspective. When I look at the player perspective,
- 36:35Speaker 7: it's underwhelming, Like you're not going to sell me on
- 36:39Speaker 7: brandon Ingram being a decent return for Kawhi Leonard, But
- 36:43Speaker 7: how many players are there in the league in that regard.
- 36:46Speaker 3: The only way to.
- 36:47Speaker 7: Make it better for yourself as a franchise trading a
- 36:50Speaker 7: player like Kawhi is if you get the draft return
- 36:55Speaker 7: that is consummate. I don't think they got that in
- 36:57Speaker 7: the James Harden trade. They wind up getting a sex
- 37:00Speaker 7: around picked that turned into a guy that's going to
- 37:02Speaker 7: Auburn next year. You know, next year they got that
- 37:07Speaker 7: into its zubas you know, as well as some decent
- 37:10Speaker 7: player assets as well as When you talk about Benedict
- 37:12Speaker 7: Matthurns restricted free.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Agency, they got his situation to work on.
- 37:18Speaker 7: I think I would have been fine if the Clippers
- 37:21Speaker 7: would have just kept Kawhi and started the season with him,
- 37:25Speaker 7: revisited things in mid season. But you don't have to
- 37:28Speaker 7: go too far. Look at what happened with Jimmy Butler
- 37:30Speaker 7: in Miami. That situation was toxic and so it's never
- 37:36Speaker 7: an ideal time to part with a star like this.
- 37:40Speaker 7: I think the Clippers did okay. I don't think they
- 37:42Speaker 7: did great, but I think they did okay, and I
- 37:45Speaker 7: understand the timing.
- 37:46Speaker 4: Do you think that the success of Wemby has created
- 37:51Speaker 4: now a let's see how many big guys we can
- 37:54Speaker 4: get and let's pay them more than they would have
- 37:57Speaker 4: been worth three years ago, So especially in the West,
- 38:00Speaker 4: so we can have a shot to stop Wemby. And
- 38:03Speaker 4: mostly I talk about Walker Kesler, who didn't play much
- 38:05Speaker 4: last year with the Utah, but here he is signing
- 38:07Speaker 4: a massive four year deal. Do you think Wemby actually
- 38:09Speaker 4: affected that?
- 38:10Speaker 3: Maybe? Maybe?
- 38:12Speaker 7: I mean Victor win Benyama is really good. You know,
- 38:14Speaker 7: it's ironic about Victor Wombanyama. He doesn't really want to
- 38:18Speaker 7: be a center, especially offensively. I think Wemby is a
- 38:22Speaker 7: transcendent talent defensively. Offensively, he does things that no other
- 38:26Speaker 7: guys can do, but he doesn't necessarily do them consistently.
- 38:31Speaker 7: You know, there's a higher ceiling for him to get to,
- 38:35Speaker 7: and honestly a higher floor. And so all these teams
- 38:41Speaker 7: talking about how they need their centers, and these centers
- 38:44Speaker 7: tend to be guys who have a greater impact on
- 38:46Speaker 7: the game defensively. I mean, okay, like the New York
- 38:51Speaker 7: Knicks had Karl Anthony Towns, a guy that I'm not
- 38:54Speaker 7: sure how much they're committed to cat long term, right,
- 38:59Speaker 7: And they did a good job defending the San Antonio Spurs,
- 39:03Speaker 7: and by the end of the Finals, they kept attacking
- 39:06Speaker 7: Wemby like he was just another dude. You know, I
- 39:10Speaker 7: think these teams are going to talk about the center
- 39:13Speaker 7: position because they're excited to talk about Wenby, and that's
- 39:16Speaker 7: the one way to talk about him. I'm not even
- 39:17Speaker 7: kidding when I say that. So, like you need to
- 39:19Speaker 7: build a good team, I think that's always how it's
- 39:21Speaker 7: been people. I can I can give you an example
- 39:24Speaker 7: about Nicola Jokic and his ascent to MV you know,
- 39:28Speaker 7: annual MVP candidate, and they're like, I saw a team
- 39:32Speaker 7: that was like, yeah, we're not even going to try
- 39:35Speaker 7: to bolster our center depth. We're going to do it
- 39:38Speaker 7: another way, and like create a team full of wings.
- 39:43Speaker 7: I might be I might not be doing the best
- 39:46Speaker 7: job of hiding who that team is. So like that,
- 39:51Speaker 7: there's always this approach of, oh, cancel centers completely, or
- 39:55Speaker 7: you don't need centers, it doesn't matter anyway. And now
- 39:58Speaker 7: you're in an era of get every center you can
- 40:01Speaker 7: because Wenby is here. It's like, NA, just build the
- 40:04Speaker 7: best team that fits that what you have. And as
- 40:09Speaker 7: far as Walker Kesler is concerned, Walker Kessler's impact is
- 40:12Speaker 7: going to be on defense, and I think Walker Kessler
- 40:15Speaker 7: is going to be someone who addresses a huge issue
- 40:19Speaker 7: for the Lakers last year as far as their rent protection.
- 40:22Speaker 7: But the Lakers are two rent protection issues. They didn't
- 40:25Speaker 7: have great reprotection from their centers, but they had the
- 40:28Speaker 7: worst rent protection in the league. I would say outside
- 40:31Speaker 7: of their centers. Walker Kessler is a very good room protector,
- 40:35Speaker 7: and he alone is not going to save the Lakers
- 40:38Speaker 7: if their secondary rent protection remains. Guys like Luca Danti
- 40:41Speaker 7: and Jakelarrabia. I'm just going to leave it at that.
- 40:44Speaker 4: John Morant going west like also just him and Dame together,
- 40:50Speaker 4: Like will he listen to day?
- 40:52Speaker 3: I'm sure he will.
- 40:53Speaker 7: Like I think John Morant has been a character assassination.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Victim over the last several years.
- 40:59Speaker 7: Like, I think dude wants to just be in a
- 41:01Speaker 7: situation where he can play, and I think being healthy
- 41:05Speaker 7: is a big part of that. I mean, Job Morant
- 41:09Speaker 7: was suspended to begin the what was it the twenty
- 41:12Speaker 7: twenty three to twenty four season, and since then he
- 41:17Speaker 7: had a major shoulder injury that ended that season after
- 41:20Speaker 7: he debuted, and then the twenty twenty four to twenty
- 41:24Speaker 7: five season, they started great, and as usual with the
- 41:27Speaker 7: Memphis Kerzlies, they ended poorly, still made the playoffs, and
- 41:31Speaker 7: then this fast season where I don't think Job played
- 41:33Speaker 7: a single game after January. It's like, Jaw needs to
- 41:37Speaker 7: be healthy. I think that's my main thing. I'm not
- 41:40Speaker 7: worrying about Job Morant and his behavior off the floor
- 41:44Speaker 7: or what the locker room is looking like.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I think Job being healthy that's where it's got to start.
- 41:50Speaker 7: Now the Blazers are putting together an incredibly weird team,
- 41:53Speaker 7: which is on brand for that city. But I think
- 41:57Speaker 7: you have to consider this. Damian Lillard is not the
- 41:59Speaker 7: Damian who ended teams seasons in the playoffs in the
- 42:04Speaker 7: twenty tens. He's a guy who is in his mid
- 42:07Speaker 7: thirties coming off of one of the more devastating injuries
- 42:10Speaker 7: you can have, especially when you're a small guard, and
- 42:12Speaker 7: I think there is a case of insurance there at
- 42:15Speaker 7: that position. I just feel like they're best players Daniavvia
- 42:19Speaker 7: and anything that takes the ball out of his hands
- 42:22Speaker 7: more than it needs to be is going to be
- 42:24Speaker 7: a little challenging. And we'll see how Mike and Nory
- 42:29Speaker 7: makes all of this work. But I have a feeling
- 42:31Speaker 7: that Portland has at least one guard to offload. I'd
- 42:35Speaker 7: be looking at Drew Holliday, a guy who is as
- 42:38Speaker 7: old as Dame, a guy who is very good, very productive,
- 42:42Speaker 7: but doesn't fit any kind of future with that team.
- 42:46Speaker 7: There's a logjam there, and I'd be interested to see
- 42:49Speaker 7: where he goes to you next.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Jalen Brown going to Philadelphia. Obviously he wasn't going to
- 42:56Speaker 4: stay in Boston, at least from everything that I was
- 42:59Speaker 4: writing or people that I was talking to and a
- 43:02Speaker 4: lot of people got upset about that, saying they only
- 43:04Speaker 4: got Paul George a couple first, a couple of seconds.
- 43:06Speaker 4: But to me, I would love for you to contradict
- 43:09Speaker 4: what I'm saying. I feel like, if anything, it was
- 43:11Speaker 4: mostly a salary dump as well so they can make
- 43:14Speaker 4: another move. That was a massive salary they were paying him,
- 43:17Speaker 4: and if they knew he wasn't going to stay, they
- 43:20Speaker 4: needed to offload that because I think Paul George is
- 43:22Speaker 4: what maybe one year left. What are your thoughts on
- 43:25Speaker 4: that trade?
- 43:26Speaker 7: My thoughts on the trade, It was just a ridiculous
- 43:29Speaker 7: situation as far as the relationship breakdown. I feel like
- 43:33Speaker 7: Jalen Brown enjoyed the individual season he had and the
- 43:37Speaker 7: team exceeded expectations, but they also humiliated themselves in the
- 43:42Speaker 7: process of blowing the three one lead to a team
- 43:44Speaker 7: that they enjoyed beating year after year as they were
- 43:48Speaker 7: building this era with Jalen Brown and Jason Tatum, and
- 43:52Speaker 7: I just feel like there was some fatigue there when
- 43:55Speaker 7: it comes to their contracts. It's like Boston paid him
- 43:58Speaker 7: this contract. Yeah, he's got three years left on a
- 44:02Speaker 7: pretty significant deal, and you know, with Jason Tatum ideally
- 44:07Speaker 7: coming back again. We're talking about a guy tours Achilles Tendon.
- 44:10Speaker 7: We got to see what that looks like for him
- 44:11Speaker 7: over the course of a full season. We're talking about
- 44:14Speaker 7: Paul George, a player who again I covered for years.
- 44:17Speaker 3: I don't think their ability and.
- 44:18Speaker 7: Availability is what you use to describe Paul George as
- 44:22Speaker 7: far as assets and positive traits at this point of
- 44:26Speaker 7: his career, But I do think there was some significance
- 44:31Speaker 7: to how the team might have felt about how good
- 44:34Speaker 7: they were when Jaylen Brown didn't play.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Or when Jaylen Brown was on the bench, and.
- 44:38Speaker 7: Thinking can you build a team that can be better
- 44:42Speaker 7: than that? Because they clearly weren't good enough in the
- 44:44Speaker 7: playoffs to close out one series. Can you build a
- 44:48Speaker 7: team around that where you can maybe enhance that part
- 44:52Speaker 7: of it. It's like, will they miss Jalleen Brown? Yeah,
- 44:54Speaker 7: they do great things with Jalleen Brown. Absolutely. The relationship
- 44:59Speaker 7: I felt like was a bigger factor than the contract.
- 45:02Speaker 7: I feel like they were like, we don't need this
- 45:06Speaker 7: to be a problem when we already feel like you
- 45:09Speaker 7: can over time build a team that can win games
- 45:14Speaker 7: and possibly be a little deeper, a little bit better
- 45:19Speaker 7: than you had with Jalen Brown making the same money
- 45:25Speaker 7: over a long period of time. It wasn't for me.
- 45:27Speaker 7: It's not like Jaylen Brown was upending free agent like this,
- 45:29Speaker 7: dude's not going to be a free agent and for
- 45:31Speaker 7: another three seasons in the NBA. Now that's a that's
- 45:35Speaker 7: a very long time. And so to me, it was
- 45:38Speaker 7: more like I felt like the Celtics were like, we're stuck.
- 45:41Speaker 7: We need to make this move, and we think that
- 45:44Speaker 7: over time there will be a chance to enhance and
- 45:48Speaker 7: raise the floor of that team.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Rich Paul's whiteboard of the teams that Lebron could possibly
- 45:53Speaker 4: go to. I find that stuff to be super entertaining
- 45:57Speaker 4: because it's like wrestling to me, like it's all out
- 46:00Speaker 4: out there. So we talk about it, otherwise you don't
- 46:02Speaker 4: post it or talk about it on the podcast with
- 46:05Speaker 4: Kellerman and so I love it. But it does feel
- 46:09Speaker 4: a little bit like the decision, but just with more
- 46:12Speaker 4: teams from way back in the day. Where do you
- 46:14Speaker 4: think Lebron ends up as of right now?
- 46:17Speaker 7: As of right now, if it's a team that is
- 46:21Speaker 7: not Golden State or Cleveland, I will be legitimately surprised.
- 46:25Speaker 7: I can't be can't I mean, it's going to be
- 46:27Speaker 7: a shock that this isn't to find out. Oh shoot,
- 46:28Speaker 7: all right, here's Lebron's next scene. So I feel like
- 46:33Speaker 7: there is a legitimacy there. I think they floated the
- 46:36Speaker 7: Golden State thing because it's it's like when you test
- 46:40Speaker 7: run with an audience, right, like you're trying to you're
- 46:43Speaker 7: trying to see, all right, we might.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Want to change this ending, you know.
- 46:48Speaker 7: I think that would be a significant move, and it
- 46:50Speaker 7: would definitely be a move that, ten years after Kevin
- 46:54Speaker 7: Durant's next chapter would be really really funny.
- 46:57Speaker 3: Cleveland is just the obvious. Hey come home.
- 47:01Speaker 7: You know, Cleveland has moved to make to actually facilitate
- 47:06Speaker 7: that happening. If it's anybody else, then it's going to
- 47:10Speaker 7: be interesting. I'd love to see him in Minnesota. They
- 47:14Speaker 7: need a Lebron James, simple as that, Like they need
- 47:17Speaker 7: someone to replace Julius Randall and be a big body there,
- 47:21Speaker 7: you know.
- 47:22Speaker 3: But other than that, like I don't, I don't.
- 47:26Speaker 7: I don't know where he would legitimately go that would
- 47:30Speaker 7: fit the Again, the story of what Lebron James wants
- 47:34Speaker 7: to do there.
- 47:35Speaker 4: He is law Murray base in La covers the NBA
- 47:37Speaker 4: with Clippers and Lakers Focus, and you can read his
- 47:40Speaker 4: work at the Athletic dot com. Law always appreciate the perspective.
- 47:44Speaker 4: One of my favorite writers. So thank you so much
- 47:46Speaker 4: for spending twenty minutes with us here.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Thank you for having me bones all.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Right, see buddy. Okay. So I was talking to Matt Stell,
- 47:57Speaker 4: who's a good friend of mine on the show a bunch.
- 48:00Speaker 4: He's got a bunch of number one songs, Tim not
- 48:05Speaker 4: prayer for you, Prayer for you. And so one of
- 48:11Speaker 4: the guys in our Skins league do you die? No,
- 48:16Speaker 4: but he got he's going to coach at a Division
- 48:19Speaker 4: one school. Oh, big football team. Yeah, there was a
- 48:23Speaker 4: person I won't say who it is. It wasn't illegal,
- 48:25Speaker 4: but there was a person in our league who played
- 48:29Speaker 4: professional football in a former NFL player. We knew who
- 48:32Speaker 4: it was. And he got a job at a Power
- 48:37Speaker 4: four not head but big assistant coach. S You can't
- 48:40Speaker 4: gamble when you're a coach. Yeah, it's yeah, No, I
- 48:46Speaker 4: think Mara is gonna be our league. So Matt still
- 48:50Speaker 4: hit me up and was like, who can we get?
- 48:51Speaker 4: That's cool to be in our league? And I said, well,
- 48:54Speaker 4: I don't know. I think my team's already quit on me.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I think Eddian, no, no, no, I'm back, dude, I'm saving.
- 48:59Speaker 4: You said you weren't playing.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I'm saving.
- 49:00Speaker 4: But now, what's interesting? Now that you know how it works, don't.
- 49:04Speaker 2: You feel stupid for picking the Bengals?
- 49:06Speaker 4: No, A lot more knowledgeable going into next year, Yes,
- 49:09Speaker 4: and knowing like what the deal is.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel a lot more knowledge.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:13Speaker 6: I still though, like if we picked today, I still
- 49:15Speaker 6: wouldn't even know how to pick.
- 49:17Speaker 4: Yeah, that's part of it because the NFL has changed
- 49:20Speaker 4: so much year to year. But you would because that
- 49:23Speaker 4: first round, when you get your pick, you kind of
- 49:24Speaker 4: know Buffalo is going to be good. You know, you
- 49:27Speaker 4: kind of know the teams. Unless listen, I don't think
- 49:29Speaker 4: the Bengals are a bad pick. Joe Burrow getting injury.
- 49:34Speaker 2: But yeah, so, so who's who we thinking?
- 49:36Speaker 4: I don't know. He was like, you should call Brandon Walker,
- 49:39Speaker 4: who's my friend of Barsol. But I don't want to
- 49:41Speaker 4: get a friend into this and have them lose thousands
- 49:43Speaker 4: of dollars, Yeah, and then feel and then yeah we
- 49:45Speaker 4: know that stuff.
- 49:46Speaker 2: So they need to be a rich friend.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Well, I don't even want to get a friend in though,
- 49:50Speaker 4: because I think he makes good money. But so if
- 49:53Speaker 4: there's anybody who that can think of, there's you got
- 49:56Speaker 4: a name, Matt Miller.
- 49:57Speaker 2: He uh, just like you can be the commissioner.
- 50:03Speaker 4: I watched a video on TikTok of this kid who
- 50:05Speaker 4: set the world record for mouse clicks in sixty seconds. No,
- 50:08Speaker 4: it's a thing where he and the other record was
- 50:12Speaker 4: seven fifty in sixty seconds, and he did in seven sixty.
- 50:15Speaker 2: Oh.
- 50:16Speaker 6: I think I there's kind of like that hack, you know,
- 50:20Speaker 6: like you remember the power pad in Nintendo.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, but how you just kind of did
- 50:25Speaker 2: that so quick?
- 50:25Speaker 4: You do that with a finger. I think there are rules,
- 50:27Speaker 4: but let me show you. I can show have my
- 50:29Speaker 4: phone turn this off sixteen seconds?
- 50:40Speaker 2: But do you not even moving?
- 50:41Speaker 4: He's so fast you can't really tell.
- 50:42Speaker 5: He's yeaes his fingers like curled.
- 50:45Speaker 4: And he did. The record was seven fifteen, did seven
- 50:48Speaker 4: sixty he doesn't know yet and he gets a Guinness
- 50:52Speaker 4: World record.
- 50:53Speaker 2: It's unbelievable.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Wow.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Like he wasn't even making facial expressions.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Focused on fired out like hey's focused folkst and fired up.
- 51:02Speaker 6: Like I can like act like I'm trying to like,
- 51:05Speaker 6: I'm twitching. Do it pretty fast, but I can't keep
- 51:08Speaker 6: that up for sixty seconds?
- 51:11Speaker 2: Did you hear that?
- 51:12Speaker 4: I wish we could actually test that. I think it's
- 51:14Speaker 4: a that would be cool.
- 51:16Speaker 2: I mean I have to turn my mouse off so
- 51:18Speaker 2: it doesn't mess the video up.
- 51:19Speaker 4: The whole room starts to smoke a board. Okay, I
- 51:28Speaker 4: think that's it. I did see I think you saw too,
- 51:32Speaker 4: Kevin madd at the Celtics.
- 51:33Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, but but it was kind of can I
- 51:35Speaker 6: say something though, It's kind of a b move because
- 51:38Speaker 6: like he gets all mad, but then I look and
- 51:41Speaker 6: it's only to his close friends.
- 51:42Speaker 5: He did it was yeah, not that one.
- 51:45Speaker 6: The one I saw was a Green Circle storyline. That
- 51:48Speaker 6: was my kid probably Oh I clicked on it. Okay,
- 51:51Speaker 6: well that changes things.
- 51:52Speaker 4: Well it could have been Green Circle, but that can
- 51:53Speaker 4: be your fourth video?
- 51:54Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 51:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I can show you three.
- 51:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:56Speaker 7: Oh.
- 51:56Speaker 2: I thought he's like he doesn't want to tell the
- 51:58Speaker 2: whole world. He wants to just complain to.
- 51:59Speaker 4: His I feel like it was a salary dumb dude,
- 52:02Speaker 4: more than it was let's see what we can get
- 52:03Speaker 4: from a trade. Like they knew they weren't going to
- 52:05Speaker 4: and I think they still make another move.
- 52:07Speaker 5: They have to with those picks. But Paul George is
- 52:09Speaker 5: still making close to what Jalen's megan yet something.
- 52:13Speaker 4: He's got two years left on his contract. I think
- 52:16Speaker 4: it's it was they weren't a bad place period, and
- 52:21Speaker 4: I think that was just we got to get rid
- 52:22Speaker 4: of his money.
- 52:23Speaker 5: But why why now? And I know a lot of
- 52:24Speaker 5: people have said this, but and we're a week behind here,
- 52:27Speaker 5: but why now instead of in a month from now,
- 52:29Speaker 5: two months from now, three months from Nocaure's no way
- 52:32Speaker 5: that pick or or that trade is going to get
- 52:36Speaker 5: any worse in the headache.
- 52:39Speaker 4: It's a distraction. He's he's streaming on Twitch every eight hours.
- 52:42Speaker 3: He is doing that.
- 52:43Speaker 5: But he's always been so good, like he's never gotten
- 52:45Speaker 5: any trouble. One Finals MVP, he's.
- 52:49Speaker 2: There at the team.
- 52:50Speaker 4: He wasn't Kyrie, okay, And I hear you and yeah,
- 52:53Speaker 4: he's got his mouthy for her and he says a
- 52:54Speaker 4: bunch of it. But I think my bosses say the
- 52:56Speaker 4: same crap about me, Like he doesn't get in trouble,
- 52:58Speaker 4: he just mauthy. Sometimes he just says a bunch of crap.
- 53:01Speaker 4: And so you're still here, Yeah, because then I just
- 53:03Speaker 4: stopped saying crap for a while. So I think you
- 53:07Speaker 4: can be Bill. You cannot be problematic and do a
- 53:09Speaker 4: great job at work. And there's only a certain point.
- 53:11Speaker 4: You can only take so much. I stop Sometimes when
- 53:14Speaker 4: i'm I do enough, I'm like, I should chill, because
- 53:18Speaker 4: if it gets to my CEO, then I know his trouble.
- 53:21Speaker 4: If he's like, hey, why are you saying all this
- 53:23Speaker 4: stuff on like a podcast or something, I'm like, I'll
- 53:26Speaker 4: take a step back. He didn't take a step back.
- 53:30Speaker 5: Yeah, but what sucks is you go from Yannis to that,
- 53:33Speaker 5: but they were not getting you didn't have honest.
- 53:35Speaker 4: To be fair, you never had you honest.
- 53:37Speaker 5: I know, but never like officially obviously, but in our head,
- 53:40Speaker 5: in Celtics mind's head.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Well okay, and you're like, on my head archized Jesus
- 53:45Speaker 4: last year, no playing in it, quarterback, all.
- 53:48Speaker 2: The whole team.
- 53:50Speaker 4: You probably he didn't just town. He just flos above
- 53:53Speaker 4: everybody all Yeah, we're done. Thank you, thank you all
- 53:58Speaker 4: for being here, thank you for listening us. A. Oh well, no,
- 54:02Speaker 4: I'm rooting for the United States. But I don't like
- 54:05Speaker 4: cheating to do it, or if we cheat, I like
- 54:09Speaker 4: to not know about it.
- 54:10Speaker 5: Yeah, like to speculate. I probably pulled some strings.
- 54:13Speaker 4: Like yeah, like play. Yeah, I didn't need the White House.
- 54:15Speaker 4: Yeah I did it. I was a good athlete, so
- 54:17Speaker 4: I did it. I didn't.
- 54:20Speaker 3: I know.
- 54:21Speaker 4: It's you know, Alabama fans, Georgia fans for their whole life,
- 54:24Speaker 4: they knew they were paying players under the table, but
- 54:26Speaker 4: it wasn't proven. So they got to enjoy their win
- 54:28Speaker 4: because like proof, we cheated. We didn't cheat. Now we
- 54:32Speaker 4: cheated the whole world.
- 54:34Speaker 2: I wonder what the threat was. What's the threat?
- 54:38Speaker 4: Nuclear bomb? Alpheimer?
- 54:40Speaker 2: What it is like, we'll blow up your office? All right?
- 54:43Speaker 4: Thank you guys? Did you blow the whistle?
- 54:45Speaker 2: No?
- 54:45Speaker 4: No?
- 54:47Speaker 2: I now wait wait wait wait.
