- 0:12Speaker 1: It's time hell and low and leve Well. Welcome to
- 0:15Speaker 1: the notat but nightsher your host Ram Shooter. It's Monday morning,
- 0:18Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Garret bog All joins us. Hey, Garrett,
- 0:21Speaker 1: are you there? Hello? Bobs?
- 0:23Speaker 2: Have you slept?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Are you still partying last night? From the Tony Awards?
- 0:28Speaker 3: I mean, tell me about it? Did you pull an
- 0:31Speaker 3: all nighter?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Bob?
- 0:32Speaker 1: You know me. Well, I'm a little sleepy today, but
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm sleeping in a really good way because I went
- 0:36Speaker 1: out with friends. It was so much fun. I love
- 0:40Speaker 1: the Tony's, I love Broadway. So the show I thought
- 0:42Speaker 1: was great. Cynthia Revo is a host. I did not
- 0:45Speaker 1: know she had those skills. I knew she was so talented.
- 0:48Speaker 1: We know she can sing, we know she can act,
- 0:50Speaker 1: but it takes like a real personal skill somebody there.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It's really charming, and my goodness, she had that. So
- 0:56Speaker 1: I thought she was great. And I'm really excited too
- 0:59Speaker 1: about the award. I like the shows that weren't. I
- 1:02Speaker 1: think it's a good time for theater. What do you
- 1:04Speaker 1: see your take away at it?
- 1:06Speaker 3: The fact that Broadway brought in over one billion dollars,
- 1:11Speaker 3: I mean let's talk about a billion dollars in Broadway shows,
- 1:16Speaker 3: most of it coming from George Clooney and Menzel Washington show,
- 1:20Speaker 3: but still Broadway brought in a billion dollars, which was awesome,
- 1:23Speaker 3: and I think it's a great spotlight on New York.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It's a great spotlight on the community. But also the
- 1:31Speaker 3: fact of, like they said, do you just have a
- 1:33Speaker 3: favor during the commercial breaks, google closest theater near me,
- 1:36Speaker 3: which I didn't even think about to do. And you know,
- 1:38Speaker 3: I found a few theaters that are very close to
- 1:40Speaker 3: me in Jersey, you know, even closer than Broadway, and
- 1:44Speaker 3: just the opportunity, you know, it's it's I think it
- 1:48Speaker 3: was summed up the best saying that the Tony community,
- 1:52Speaker 3: the Broadway community, is probably the most tight knit supportive
- 1:56Speaker 3: group out of anybody else unless sure, yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 1: They know each other. It's small enough that you can
- 2:02Speaker 1: know everybody in it. I'm lucky enough to be on
- 2:04Speaker 1: the sort of outside circle of it, lots of my friends.
- 2:07Speaker 1: When last night, so the big musical of the night
- 2:10Speaker 1: was Maybe Happy Ending, which is a really small, precious
- 2:13Speaker 1: music all about two robots who were coming to the
- 2:16Speaker 1: end of their life. Their batteries are running down. They
- 2:20Speaker 1: have been replaced by new models. I think humans can
- 2:23Speaker 1: feel a little like that too. And so a really beautiful,
- 2:26Speaker 1: beautiful story, but it is quite small. It's not a big,
- 2:29Speaker 1: flashy musical. If you want Broadway with feathers and show
- 2:33Speaker 1: girls and big numbers, go to see Death becomes another
- 2:36Speaker 1: amazing show.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's funny.
- 2:39Speaker 3: We over at the Elvis Show were there on day
- 2:43Speaker 3: one when Darren just got the script for maybe Happy Ending,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and for him to the way he described it, you
- 2:49Speaker 3: would be like, oh, that sounds like a cute show
- 2:54Speaker 3: for you.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But then you saw it, you're like.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Holy, it was a nice Yeah, it was the underdog.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I think that's what the lovely part of that show
- 3:03Speaker 1: is is it started as something that almost didn't open.
- 3:06Speaker 1: They ran out of money during previews, nobody was buying tickets.
- 3:09Speaker 1: They nearly didn't make it to opening night, and then
- 3:12Speaker 1: it opened, got great reviews and word of mouth started.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. But
- 3:17Speaker 1: I do also understand if you do want a big musical,
- 3:20Speaker 1: because they're really expensive the tickets. If you think value
- 3:23Speaker 1: for money is show goals and dancing and sequins. Death
- 3:27Speaker 1: becomes a is there for you too? So congratulations to
- 3:30Speaker 1: all the Tony winners. I'm going to have a sleepy day,
- 3:33Speaker 1: but it was worth it. Let's jump into actually my
- 3:35Speaker 1: friends at the top of the show. So over the weekend,
- 3:40Speaker 1: Justin posted another really concerning video talking about how relationships
- 3:44Speaker 1: for him are transactional. He's sick of these transactional relationships.
- 3:49Speaker 1: That basically means that we have a relationship because I
- 3:52Speaker 1: do for you and you do for me, and we're
- 3:54Speaker 1: not doing for each other, then we're not really friends anymore.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I think a lot of people do have these relationships.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's not truthful, Garrett to say we have unconditional love
- 4:05Speaker 1: with everybody in our lives. My employer, Helloa loa loo,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I like you very much, it's not the love of
- 4:11Speaker 1: my life. I do a great job and you pay
- 4:13Speaker 1: me money for it. That, by definition, is a transaction.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So I don't think transactional relationships are necessarily bad. They
- 4:22Speaker 1: are bad if it involves your friends, or your spouse
- 4:26Speaker 1: or your family. That's when I think things get difficult.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Just then it breaks my heart. What do you think
- 4:31Speaker 1: is going on here?
- 4:32Speaker 2: You know what it is.
- 4:33Speaker 3: It's from the fact that it's another because he got
- 4:36Speaker 3: started so young and early that he surrounded himself with
- 4:40Speaker 3: friends because that's who he thought, you know, he needed
- 4:43Speaker 3: to be around, were people that he grew up with.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Problem is, those people get comfortable, and when you get
- 4:49Speaker 3: comfortable in things, you expect things. You expect money, you
- 4:52Speaker 3: expect the perks, you expect the hey, what about me?
- 4:56Speaker 3: You know, so when you get to a certain point
- 4:59Speaker 3: and Justin's like, what are you doing for me? Like personally,
- 5:03Speaker 3: like are you my friend? Or are you just here
- 5:06Speaker 3: to you know, just take some money out of my
- 5:08Speaker 3: wallet every time? Why am I paying for dinner every time?
- 5:12Speaker 1: You know?
- 5:12Speaker 3: Why am I paying for us to go out every time?
- 5:14Speaker 3: Why am I paying for the car ride?
- 5:16Speaker 1: You know?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Why am I paying?
- 5:17Speaker 1: You know?
- 5:18Speaker 2: So I get it.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I understand where you can only be pushed so far.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And I'm sure you deal with that too. Where you
- 5:24Speaker 3: have a friend of here or there from time to
- 5:27Speaker 3: time that you know, come around when they just want
- 5:30Speaker 3: something for free, and and they act like you're they're
- 5:33Speaker 3: your friends.
- 5:34Speaker 2: You know I have as well.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, just Thing's partly responsible for this, though, You're right,
- 5:38Speaker 1: he did hire all his friends and he shouldn't have.
- 5:41Speaker 1: He should have hired professionals. He should have had people
- 5:43Speaker 1: around him that he wasn't closer with. They weren't friends.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You can become friendly with people you work with, but
- 5:48Speaker 1: hire the best person to do the job. It always
- 5:51Speaker 1: makes me cringe when I see celebrities hire their husband
- 5:54Speaker 1: or their wife or their girlfriend to be their manager.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That's not a manager. That's someone you're just paying to
- 5:59Speaker 1: do I don't know.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You're trying to keep all the money under one roof.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's right, keeping it in the family. Don't do that.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Get yourself a real professional manager, because then you will
- 6:08Speaker 1: have more money coming in because they will be doing
- 6:10Speaker 1: their job. Hire a professional publicist, Hire a professional assistant.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I don't want my cousin or my aunt to be
- 6:17Speaker 1: picking up my Starbucks. No, I don't want that. I'm
- 6:20Speaker 1: very good, Garrett at keeping business relationships business. I'm friends
- 6:24Speaker 1: with a lot of people I work with, but I
- 6:26Speaker 1: know my inner circle. It's only about four or five people.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's Bruce, my husband. But I have a really close
- 6:32Speaker 1: sort of circle, and they have nothing to do with
- 6:35Speaker 1: my business. I don't pay them. I'm very generous. I'm
- 6:38Speaker 1: happy to buy them a drink and a dinner, but
- 6:40Speaker 1: they're not on the payroll. Look around, Justin, and if
- 6:42Speaker 1: everybody on your payroll is not qualified, they're there because
- 6:46Speaker 1: they are your friends, then maybe you're the problem.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Well and you know it's interesting too looking at just
- 6:52Speaker 3: like friends like take Lebron James for instance. Lebron James
- 6:56Speaker 3: when he became he started playing sports, he hired an
- 7:00Speaker 3: agent at first, but then he fired those agents after
- 7:03Speaker 3: he got set up and he hired all his friends.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Here's the difference between Lebron James and Justin Bieber. Lebron
- 7:08Speaker 3: James allowed his friends to go out and you know,
- 7:14Speaker 3: become these big powerhouse agents and whatnot and marry Adele
- 7:19Speaker 3: and all those things.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Justin has. His friends didn't leave Justin.
- 7:24Speaker 3: They just stayed with Justin for the last ten plus
- 7:27Speaker 3: god only knows how many years, and they just It's
- 7:31Speaker 3: like one thing like being married to your job. Right,
- 7:34Speaker 3: you say, don't let your job become you. Justin's friends
- 7:37Speaker 3: let Justin's life become them. So when Justin says, hey
- 7:42Speaker 3: I'm done, they don't know what to do with their life.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Well, they won't get another job either. They're not qualified.
- 7:47Speaker 1: We've been around Justin and his people not all. His
- 7:50Speaker 1: record label is amazing, although they're not really involved as
- 7:53Speaker 1: much anymore. But Justin's in a circle is a bunch
- 7:56Speaker 1: of people, and not for their own faults, like this
- 7:58Speaker 1: isn't that they just don't know what the He is
- 8:00Speaker 1: such a big star and he generates so much money.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. My mom could be just In Beaber's manager, Like,
- 8:06Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. He's such a big star. And so
- 8:09Speaker 1: Justin here, you've got to take a little bit of responsibility.
- 8:11Speaker 1: If everybody around you is on the payroll, I dare
- 8:14Speaker 1: say you were partially responsible for that, which brings us
- 8:17Speaker 1: to our pole question. Half the day, Justin went on
- 8:20Speaker 1: a rant a game and this is not smart. Why
- 8:22Speaker 1: is he doing this on social media? If you have
- 8:24Speaker 1: problems at work or in your life, fix them, don't
- 8:27Speaker 1: go on social media. If your boss don't go on
- 8:31Speaker 1: social media, you're going to get fired. Don't do that.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Fix them. So our question is, does Justin need some help?
- 8:38Speaker 1: I think we know the answer. Hey, go vodes on
- 8:39Speaker 1: a tow a debated ordinized rom her Facebook page is
- 8:42Speaker 1: not and be sure to check back to mart Rawal
- 8:45Speaker 1: to hear your results. Hey, Garrett, what are you working on.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Well, let's talk about one of the most eligible bachelor's. Yes, say,
- 8:53Speaker 3: And it looks like Ryan Seacrest is getting cozying up
- 8:59Speaker 3: with a third two year old named Camille Orders, who
- 9:03Speaker 3: is an entrepreneur but used to intern.
- 9:07Speaker 2: For one E News when Ryan was you know, at
- 9:11Speaker 2: the Helm.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Now the way the story comes across, it sounds like, oh,
- 9:15Speaker 3: you know, Ryan's just been looking. I think that you know, once,
- 9:19Speaker 3: once this Camille became an entrepreneur, she she probably reached
- 9:25Speaker 3: out to Ryan going hey, you're single, I'm single, let's
- 9:28Speaker 3: do it. I don't think it went back to the
- 9:29Speaker 3: intern days. It doesn't help. It doesn't help that they
- 9:33Speaker 3: were together back in the intern days. But you know,
- 9:36Speaker 3: Ryan is at that point where kind of like a
- 9:39Speaker 3: very George Clooney esque where he wants to you know,
- 9:42Speaker 3: have a family, have some kids and you know, but
- 9:48Speaker 3: but again Ryan, everyone is saying out there, which I
- 9:51Speaker 3: hope for the best form because not only is he
- 9:54Speaker 3: a coworker, I look up to him as well as
- 9:58Speaker 3: a kind of as a mentor. I I hope he
- 10:00Speaker 3: finds the love that he's looking for. And I told
- 10:03Speaker 3: this is this.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Is right here in Camille Orders, as they call it,
- 10:08Speaker 2: I do too.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It's like E. If you ever been to the E office,
- 10:11Speaker 1: it's massive. There's lots and lots of people of people. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 1: so you don't know them. It's like you dating somebody
- 10:16Speaker 1: at iHeart. It doesn't mean they work on the show.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It's trying to sound sole eazy, isn't it. He's dating
- 10:21Speaker 1: the intern. This is very Monica Lewinsky. He's a predator.
- 10:24Speaker 1: He's fifty years old and he's dating the intern. No,
- 10:26Speaker 1: she just happened to intern at E. I'm told they
- 10:29Speaker 1: had no interaction. When Ryan was at E. I was
- 10:32Speaker 1: around to a lot. I as a publicist at the time.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Ryan had his own team and he almost was like
- 10:37Speaker 1: the Howard Stern of E. He was in a separate
- 10:39Speaker 1: corner doing his own thing. He was definitely the biggest
- 10:42Speaker 1: star they've ever seen on their payroll, and so he
- 10:45Speaker 1: did his own thing, and then everybody else worked for
- 10:47Speaker 1: a We were all in like the news rooms and
- 10:49Speaker 1: running arounds too busy, which he invented, Ryan, thank you
- 10:54Speaker 1: very much. So they got their money as we of
- 10:56Speaker 1: Ryan's secrets. I wish him well too. And it's easy
- 10:59Speaker 1: to say because of friends because someone you know, has
- 11:02Speaker 1: had a lot of troubled relationships that they're a mess.
- 11:05Speaker 1: And we said that about George Clooney and it's not true.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It just took him a minute. Whoever thought George would
- 11:10Speaker 1: get married, have babies settled down? He did. I think
- 11:13Speaker 1: the same could happen to Ryan.
- 11:15Speaker 2: By the way, did you see George last night with Amle?
- 11:18Speaker 3: I mean we've got we've talked many of times on
- 11:20Speaker 3: this show that there was so much trouble. But you know,
- 11:24Speaker 3: he spoke very highly of her all across the red
- 11:27Speaker 3: carpet and they showed up and he even said too
- 11:30Speaker 3: he was he's intimidated by her when she is in
- 11:33Speaker 3: the audience at his shows.
- 11:35Speaker 2: So I think he kind of put the exclamation point
- 11:39Speaker 2: on that question that we've been asking all throughout this
- 11:42Speaker 2: run of Broadway shows of are they together?
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know, yeah, I'd argument was a couple of dots,
- 11:47Speaker 1: not an exclamation points. She wasn't ever opening night like
- 11:50Speaker 1: people are still he was opening night and she did it.
- 11:53Speaker 1: She didn't go and she got the children maybe a babysitter.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I hope they're fine. They have been out and about
- 11:59Speaker 1: a moll came in for the closing, and now George
- 12:01Speaker 1: is heading back to Europe where he lives with the kids.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The kids are in school, like in Paris, in France.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I found it so interesting. So if you got to
- 12:08Speaker 3: watch a good Night, good Luck on CNN over the weekend,
- 12:12Speaker 3: George has this like Matt black hair in the show,
- 12:16Speaker 3: and he said the moment the final bow happened, he
- 12:20Speaker 3: went straight upstairs in the theater and took a flowby
- 12:22Speaker 3: to his head and went straight out to the carpet
- 12:26Speaker 3: for the for the Tonies like the second the second
- 12:30Speaker 3: the final bow was there.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I thought it was so interesting that he did that.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's great gray hair on George. Yum yum yum. Okay,
- 12:35Speaker 1: this story it's blowing up again. Blake Lively is being
- 12:39Speaker 1: called entitled. So there's a new TikTok video out and
- 12:41Speaker 1: it's Blake in a store acting I think you could
- 12:44Speaker 1: say entitled a little rude to the store employee. She's
- 12:47Speaker 1: being what some people would say, it is a little difficult.
- 12:50Speaker 1: It fails to me as if we're piling on a
- 12:53Speaker 1: little bit here that Blake's Dan and we're kicking her.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But at the same time, Blake knows that we're all
- 12:58Speaker 1: talking about her. She's not a dummish. She's been in
- 13:01Speaker 1: this business a long time. If you're gonna go out
- 13:03Speaker 1: in public, knowing everybody has an iPhone, knowing everybody has
- 13:06Speaker 1: a TikTok account. If you're going to go to a
- 13:08Speaker 1: fancy store to buy a bag, be nice for twenty minutes.
- 13:11Speaker 1: In fact, be overly nice, be outrageously nice, be disgustingly nice,
- 13:18Speaker 1: because not only is it a very nice thing to do,
- 13:21Speaker 1: but people are watching. If Blake, if you're listening to
- 13:23Speaker 1: lower Lower, lad let me tell you something. We are
- 13:26Speaker 1: watching you at the moment like a hawk. Is it fair?
- 13:28Speaker 1: Probably not, but we are watching. It's like, if you're
- 13:30Speaker 1: get in trouble, you've gotta be on best behavior because
- 13:33Speaker 1: your mum's watching you. They're watching you. But you don't
- 13:36Speaker 1: give anybody an opportunity.
- 13:37Speaker 3: I mean, if you know Blake, you know Ryan, you know, yes,
- 13:41Speaker 3: the stories of Blake have not been good at all
- 13:43Speaker 3: across the board.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I've been seeing Blake.
- 13:46Speaker 3: I'm just putting on record and given you know that
- 13:48Speaker 3: could sink me down the road. But knowing Blake, knowing Ryan,
- 13:52Speaker 3: they have this sarcastic humor just in general, you know
- 13:56Speaker 3: what I mean, and I've taken the wrong way, which,
- 13:59Speaker 3: again on a TikTok can be taken nine different ways.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Could be so misconstrued on anything like she could just
- 14:07Speaker 3: you could just say, how's the wagon she goes the weather? Oh,
- 14:10Speaker 3: it's so warm, but it's really cold outside. But but
- 14:13Speaker 3: but people could take something as simple as that and
- 14:16Speaker 3: be like, oh, look at Blake Lively being a diva
- 14:19Speaker 3: and say.
- 14:19Speaker 2: You know what I mean. So it's like it's yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 2: it's hard to tell. I think we jump on the
- 14:24Speaker 2: bandwagon because everybody wants.
- 14:25Speaker 1: To be that.
- 14:26Speaker 3: The next uh, you know, big breaking news reporter saying, oh,
- 14:31Speaker 3: I got video of Blake being a being a bee.
- 14:34Speaker 3: But I think it's just her humor that doesn't get uh,
- 14:37Speaker 3: that doesn't go across the board as it should where
- 14:40Speaker 3: she thinks she's probably being funny, but are people there like,
- 14:43Speaker 3: I don't know she's being.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it again, but you do have to
- 14:46Speaker 1: take some responsibility. When I came to America, my humor
- 14:49Speaker 1: was very British and he just didn't play here, so
- 14:51Speaker 1: it wasn't like it was that really good for me.
- 14:54Speaker 1: It made me look like not a very good person,
- 14:55Speaker 1: So I adapted. People would be like.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Oh, I hated you when you first s be yourself.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You are, you should be yourself, but you should also
- 15:04Speaker 1: be aware of other people's feelings. And blake at the moment.
- 15:07Speaker 1: This very dry, this very sarcastic humor. Enjoy it with Ryan,
- 15:11Speaker 1: enjoy it with your friends. Don't enjoy it when you're
- 15:14Speaker 1: on Madison Avenue because it just doesn't serve you well.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You know, if you talk to your staff in a
- 15:18Speaker 1: way that is really upsetting. Bethany Frankel has a habit
- 15:21Speaker 1: of doing this. She says things to people that rub
- 15:23Speaker 1: them the wrong way, and then when they get cross
- 15:25Speaker 1: with her, Bethan, it's like, you don't understand me, I
- 15:27Speaker 1: mean my sense of humor. I'm saying as it is,
- 15:31Speaker 1: you're rude. Yep, you're rude, and so blake Adapt at
- 15:35Speaker 1: the moment. Adapt. If it's so important for you to
- 15:38Speaker 1: be sarcastic to a shop assistant, then I think you've
- 15:41Speaker 1: probably not got your priorities right at the moment. Be
- 15:44Speaker 1: yourself with Ryan, your husband, be yourself with your friends.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But when you're out and about, if you're in an office,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you don't want to upset everybody. Okay, we're going to
- 15:52Speaker 1: take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Welcome back to be naughty, real nice on your hostprob
