A former Anne Arundel County cop just got his comeuppance—Jaron Earl Taylor pleaded guilty to wire fraud, got five months home detention and three years probation, plus $38K in restitution to USAA. Between 2018 and 2020, he and other officers staged fake thefts, filed bogus insurance claims, and pocketed cash—including $1K via Cash App—to ditch depreciated cars. Taylor even orchestrated the theft of his own Tahoe and helped another officer fake a stolen Infiniti claim. One Geico claim was denied, but the damage was done.
