- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, fam?
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Steep Stuff Podcast.
- 0:02Speaker 1: I am your host, James Lauriello, and today I'm joined by my co-host, Mr Nick Tusa.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, everyone, what's up?
- 0:09Speaker 1: brother, we're going to preview Mammoth Trail Fest, the 26K, the eighth stop and final stop in the Golden Trail World Series.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Besides the final, which is kind of wild, we're already at the end of the season, dude.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Already at the end of the season.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Wow, I wild.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Already at the end of the season.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Dude, already at the end of the season.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Wow, I don't know how I feel about that.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Yeah, too quick it did.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Summer went by, quick man, yeah, it did.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You know it's kind of crazy, wow.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So, uh, all right, so we'll get into some stats on mammoth.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So, 26k, this is a salomon race, eighth stop in the golden trail world series.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Uh, this race was founded in 2022, so this is going to be the third racing of this race and the second with golden trail.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Second golden trail yep, it's tim tolson's race.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Shout out to timmy um four distances.
- 0:50Speaker 1: This thing has now 50k, a 26k and a cent and they just added a 10k.
- 0:55Speaker 1: But it's not a sexy 10k it's kind of flat.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I was a little disappointed.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I had fun.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah, not a compelling course I don't know, that's just me, I like.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I feel like they could have done something pretty cool.
- 1:05Speaker 1: It would have been sick to do a classic up-down up-down like Mammoth Mountain.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I don't know If anybody's listening from Mammoth take my advice.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Timmy boy.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So it's a looped course Actually, kind of a beautifully aesthetic loop, kind of neat, goes over the mountain, goes up and up and over mammoth mountain kind of around.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Uh, lots of road miles and mostly downhill miles.
- 1:29Speaker 1: On this there's only like maybe the first four are climbing miles or maybe the middle two of the first four, I think the first one or two.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I mean you saw last year like eli splits, like going out, these guys are going out sub five minute in five minute pace zone.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah, very quick, wild.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Another thing, one of the hot topics and some one maybe one of the storylines I think for last year, was that a lot of people got lost.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I think there's going to be a plethora.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Of course, Mark it's this year too.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Hopefully nobody gets lost again.
- 2:01Speaker 1: You wouldn't.
- 2:02Speaker 2: If that happens again, then what are we doing?
- 2:04Speaker 2: What are we doing, guys?
- 2:05Speaker 2: We're not doing this again.
- 2:06Speaker 1: The way Benjamin Townsend described it to me was that like it was fast enough.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It was, it was a well, relatively well, marked course, but it was just so fast that, like you, very easily could have made those downhill sections.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 1: You're not like.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Noah got lost, patrick and Phil Amon got lost.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Literally everybody got lost.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'll let you talk about storylines.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Whatever you want to get into, we can do it.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like we said on the last pod, the Headlands 27K, when Patrick and Phil Amon show up, it's going to be a good one.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Those two work off each other so well.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I'm expecting Patrick to you know he's going to be a good one.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Those two work off each other so well.
- 2:48Speaker 2: I'm expecting Patrick to you know he's the favorite.
- 2:49Speaker 2: He was ninth last year.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I think it's pretty tough to go off.
- 2:51Speaker 2: You know the placing last year because of the course markings, but it gives you an idea.
- 2:56Speaker 2: It's nice to know who is back.
- 2:57Speaker 2: There's a lot of people returning and knowing a course is definitely definitely something that helps, especially in this type of race where if you know how to execute on the fast downhill sections, you're going to be rewarded here 100%.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Taylor Stack, a name that was just on the pod here recently that I'm super, super excited for him to be doing a ultra race.
- 3:23Speaker 2: What's that?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Did you see his splits at Imogene?
- 3:25Speaker 2: No, oh dude, I'll have to go look at his straw.
- 3:27Speaker 2: All right, so like he won, he won.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Okay, good, he didn't just win.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean like he held off timmy par, I think closer to the end, but like dude, there were splits that like I don't think I could even get close to.
- 3:41Speaker 1: He's so good dude.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I think taylor stack is like part of that new class that like, if he so chooses to, will be the future of the sport easily, without even without even a question.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, um, yeah, he's good dude, he's really.
- 3:55Speaker 1: He's really good and very humble, like you would never know.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Talking to him.
- 3:58Speaker 1: You listen to the podcast, like you know, having him on the channel with him is like a normal kid.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But Jesus Christ, he's fast dude.
- 4:06Speaker 2: And then women's side, having the three big dogs in my opinion Madalena, judith and Meow Meow.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Those three, they're going to go at it again, just like they did at Mont Blanc, just like they probably would at Headlands.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And Judith.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I think she won this race last year.
- 4:19Speaker 1: She did win this last year Now this is interesting, so like there was a little bit of a hiccup here, Madalena was leading wire to wire.
- 4:29Speaker 2: She was and got lost.
- 4:31Speaker 2: She did and Judith capitalized.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I mean, she was still third for getting lost and the fact that she got third was insane.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Absolutely bananas.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I wonder if Madalena is probably going to come back very hungry to win this race, which she absolutely has the tools to like.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Like we keep talking about, it is such a fast race.
- 4:53Speaker 1: There's only really like one section that's quite technical in a climb.
- 4:55Speaker 1: The rest of it is dirt, road and down and carpet.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So some of the things I've got.
- 4:58Speaker 1: No grayson, like we talked about before grayson's away, I think at her wedding.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Uh, tabor, tabor returns after her drop at OCC.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Um, she is supposed to be at the rut too, by the way.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So we'll see, so we'll see yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's true.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Back to back, that's a lot of racing.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to sell.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And I think she's more excited about the rut.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yes, I don't know I haven't asked her.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Anna Gibson again joins the series after the cancellation at Tantra.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Laurel Moyer is going to be mixing it up as well.
- 5:30Speaker 1: After a pretty successful season racing the Cirque Series as well as the World Skyrunning Championships, we're going to get another Maliel-Judith Weider rematch from OCC.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And Danny Marino, can she put this together?
- 5:44Speaker 1: She had a pretty solid top 10 performance at OCC.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And Danny Marino, can she put this together?
- 5:47Speaker 1: She had a pretty solid top 10 performance at OCC.
- 5:48Speaker 1: She got second last year.
- 5:51Speaker 2: into this rate, I believe it was second last year.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Danny is.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Another thing is like if I was Danny, I'd be putting a lot of emphasis on this race because it's kind of like my home trails.
- 6:00Speaker 1: It's golden trail series race my home trails, it's golden trail series race um the pressure to perform I think is pretty high here, in my, in my opinion, yeah, uh, whereas maybe it's a little bit less for others.
- 6:08Speaker 1: So, and I think, danny, last year she was able to step up and step into that um, you know, doing well here, so I think she has got the ability to absolutely get it done yeah, and I think, I think most people are going to be feeling the pressure here again.
- 6:21Speaker 2: This is the final stop on the golden trail series.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, do or die and one thing to highlight here with the cancellation of the Tatra Sky Race, things changed up a little bit on how they're going to be doing the finals.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, what is with that?
- 6:33Speaker 1: So?
- 6:33Speaker 2: yeah, initially you were supposed to race four races, I believe, and you took your top four.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Now I think they're only taking the top three.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I think I'm wrong.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I might maybe it's three to even two races, but I'm pretty sure it was four to three.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So there's some of these people here that are racing these back-to-back us races and maybe they already did one in Europe and they weren't maybe planning on going to be in in the finals, but now they are.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So we'll have to see.
- 6:58Speaker 2: It's that's something to definitely keep an eye for in the standings after, after headlands, because I know, I know the standings after they canceled tatra really, really shook up a lot.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So we'll see, we'll see, because killian was in the top, like whatever I mean after winning series and all which was crazy.
- 7:15Speaker 1: It's just like one win, but yeah, that race was insane it makes it interesting too, because like I wonder and that's the problem like if people were really booking on tantrara for cause that was, you know, like a lot of people's ability.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I think people are coming over to the U?
- 7:28Speaker 2: S now Cause they're kind of forced to.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, like you don't have a choice, fred.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Trinitards over here Did you see that clip with him, and now it did Mount Elbert.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I think it was today or yesterday.
- 7:36Speaker 2: No way.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't see that On the men's storylines.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah, patrick returns again after such a beast performance at Cirque Basin, which we don't have to go too deep into, but like absolute world-class performance at very high altitude.
- 7:52Speaker 1: This is a lower altitude race.
- 7:53Speaker 1: The high point is 11,000 feet.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Low point is somewhere in that seven to eight range, something like that, so it's a little bit higher altitude.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Patrick also got I think after getting lost he got ninth here in 2023.
- 8:05Speaker 1: This is super competitive race, so good for him.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Um, francesco poopy uh comes across the pond after getting second at occ.
- 8:13Speaker 1: We'll see what's going on there.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Um, taylor stack and literally my my words on this are taylor stack enters the chat after convincing performances at circ series and broken arrow and and now emoji.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I mean you can make an argument for imaging it wasn't like as competitive as of a race for him because it was just Timmy par and a few others.
- 8:33Speaker 1: But like dude, you gotta I mean you gotta after this is over, you gotta look at those spots.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It was so fast, it was unbelievable um and then can remy bonet recapture the magic of last year, which he took the dub.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Last year one of the few people did not get lost.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Uh, and then hawk call this is mountain race hawk call is mountain man he is.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Let's see what happens.
- 8:54Speaker 2: He is always a sleeper.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You see him.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Like I said last podcast, you see his name, he's gonna be up there oh dude, this is a very stacked race.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm I'm really excited, uh, to see what's gonna happen here you want to get into picks?
- 9:08Speaker 2: yeah, let's get into picks here.
- 9:09Speaker 2: We'll start with the men.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Um, I'll start at five and go up to one here.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Uh, fifth, uh, taylor stack.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Uh, like we said, fourth at broken arrow.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yep, he was right up there at US Mountain Champs.
- 9:20Speaker 2: What was his exact place again, do you recall?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Fifth at US Mountain Champs.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So yeah, this kid, he's fresh on the scene and he's excited.
- 9:28Speaker 2: He has this.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I feel like a new outlook, a different outlook on the sport than maybe other people have, and I'm really excited what he can do.
- 9:35Speaker 1: He's figuring out Dude.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I'm really excited what he can do.
- 9:37Speaker 1: He's figuring out In the podcast.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I was asking about nutrition.
- 9:40Speaker 1: He's like.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:44Speaker 1: When he does figure everything out, that kid has the ability to be one of the best in the world.
- 9:49Speaker 2: When he said how he fueled for Broken Arrow, I just laughed.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Some of those elite athletes can get away with nothing for two hours, which I truthfully don't understand.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I'm just going to take a moment to appreciate.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Taylor Stack, you're talking.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Kieran Nae, brian Whitfield, taylor Stack, cade Michael, like Western just produces killers, dude, absolutely.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Killer after killer after killer.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And they will continue to do so because they're one of the only Cole Campbell.
- 10:14Speaker 2: That's another one, cole Campbell.
- 10:16Speaker 2: I'll be seeing him next week or this weekend.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Oh, is he going to be racing?
- 10:20Speaker 1: Cole Campbell's nasty dude I know he's living up to.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He's living up in Idaho now.
- 10:24Speaker 1: We tried to get him on the podcast Cause I know he's a he's a friend of the pod listener and obviously amazing athlete.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And he's up in Idaho now living, so yeah, he just raced in Europe and he took second to oh, I'd have to go look at estrava, but it was a really big name and I was like holy shit dude.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Wow, yeah, kid's nasty um, but yeah, taylor, stack fifth um.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Roberto delorenzi I have to.
- 10:44Speaker 2: He took third last year, so he knows this course and again he's mr consistent.
- 10:48Speaker 2: So like I, just I I can't leave him out.
- 10:51Speaker 2: He just shows up and he throws down.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Brooks is so lucky to have this kid.
- 10:55Speaker 2: He's, he's special and he's got a long career ahead of him.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I just hope he doesn't.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I don't think he's going to race himself into injury because a lot of the stuff he does is short enough, but if he does end up jumping up in distance, I hope he tones it back just a little bit, Just a little bit.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Third, I have Philemon, Second is Sears and all Third, a broken arrow.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Like I said last podcast, he's been in, they've been in the States.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Now they just raced, uh, a basin.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I think him and Patrick are going to be working together, Um, but I don't think he's going to be sitting behind Patrick.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I think that Mika Rousseau is going to be sitting behind Patrick.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I think Mika is insane.
- 11:34Speaker 2: He took second last year at this.
- 11:35Speaker 2: This is where he basically made a name for himself Uh, fifth, at broken arrow this year just came back from Europe where he took forth that ETC, which is a UTMB race.
- 11:45Speaker 2: It is a 20 K race.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I'm sure a lot of people maybe aren't too familiar with it, but, um, there's a lot of great, great athletes that uh that show up to that one Um, and then it's years in all he took 25th.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I know that I don't think it was the day that he intended to have, but still I mean world-class, yeah.
- 12:03Speaker 2: So yeah, really excited to see him come back and take second again potentially, and then first Patrick, kip and Diego.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Like I said, ninth last year, but he got lost.
- 12:12Speaker 2: He knows the course he's, he.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It seems like uh, altitude doesn't really affect him too much like it does philemon.
- 12:23Speaker 2: So I yeah just coming off that a base and when I it's hard to count him out he's putting together one of the best sub ultra years that we've probably ever seen.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So I'm excited for him to uh put the cherry on top with mammoth and uh probably end up winning uh the golden trail series I think it's so amazing to me, especially because, like patrick's race, now so many us races he's done now cirque brighton, cirque, all right, sorry, cirque brighton.
- 12:49Speaker 1: The broken arrow vk.
- 12:51Speaker 1: He's done.
- 12:51Speaker 1: The broken arrow 23k.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It's one, all three, a basin.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So it won that.
- 12:57Speaker 1: How can you bet against this guy?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Like you know, like he's undefeated in america like this yeah, it's one thing.
- 13:02Speaker 2: It's like if he's been dominating europe and he's finally coming over, that's one thing.
- 13:05Speaker 2: But yeah, he's been here.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Come on, guys, david kilgore found himself, uh, found himself some studs over there.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Yeah, good for, like, all in's got a great team.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Um, so cool, yeah, philimon and pat and like dude, uh, yeah, so many killers, oh, but uh but yeah, let me just uh a couple sleepers that.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I have one sleeper um, a guy that, um, that's coached by, that's coached by eli and tabor, same as me.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Uh, I didn't get a chance to meet him because he dipped out so quick at um when I raced over in aspen in j.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Jacob Dewey.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so this kid um.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Let's see how do I put this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Colorado Springs boy.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Colorado really.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And a Western, but now he's Western, so right now he's the head coach at.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I believe he's the head ski mountaineering coach at Western.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yep, uh, so this guy's got a crazy engine.
- 13:57Speaker 2: But anyway, I was talking with Tabor At Western, at Western.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yep, so this guy's got a crazy engine.
- 14:00Speaker 2: But anyway, I was talking with Tabor and she was saying that there's one athlete that they have that hits their workout the times in their workouts that is sometimes surpassing or equivalent to Eli, and it's Jacob Dewey.
- 14:15Speaker 2: So if this guy's fitness is any indication of Eli's?
- 14:18Speaker 2: So if this guy's fitness is, any indication of like like.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Eli's like he, yeah, I, I.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I think he is the one that's going to be in like the top five, top 10, where people are like, well, who's this?
- 14:26Speaker 2: And the funny thing is is I guarantee he's, he's going to place well, and he's just going to dip out and they're going to be doing the top 10 on the podium and he's not going to be there because he's a type of guy that just he doesn't want to be in the spotlight, he just I love the train.
- 14:39Speaker 1: What'd you think Like?
- 14:40Speaker 1: You raced him at like power, oh, is it power for?
- 14:43Speaker 2: power for Yep.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Like he was just unbeatable speed or what.
- 14:47Speaker 2: No, oh yeah, it was right off the bat.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Tabor made a comment.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I just started laughing right away.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Um, and he's off.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Goodbye, and it's just he.
- 14:58Speaker 2: He looked back a few times on like the first climb.
- 15:00Speaker 2: It starts out with like a 1300 foot climb and like barely a mile.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It's straight vertical and the dude it's just like the thing is is he wasn't even like running that much, like his hiking is just insane and that's, that's those schema fucking schema like insane so honestly, like if he can keep it together on the downhill, I think he's gonna be.
- 15:19Speaker 2: He's gonna be right up there on that first climb, on those first couple climbs, because I think I've heard like, yes, this is a downhill course, but like if you're leading after that climb, it's a pretty good indication, because that climb was fast and I think the fastest time last year on that climb was remy and what ended up happening he's picky with the races.
- 15:37Speaker 1: He does, because he'll show up on start lists and not show.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Jacob Dewey will yeah, oh yeah, that's what he did with Telluride.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I had him at the Telluride mountain.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Well, I think he looked at the race and was like there's no competition at the 13 mile.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That's probably why he didn't show up.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It's my guess, I don't know.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Like I even said in, like the preview that I did for TMR, I was like, well, it's Jacob Dewey's race to lose.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Basically, yeah, yeah, no, I think he's got a chance to truly, truly make a name for himself and I really I hope he goes, please go.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I think he was.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I believe he was on the star list for broken arrow too.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I can't remember.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I don't.
- 16:12Speaker 1: But yeah, that kid definitely yeah.
- 16:17Speaker 2: But a couple other names you got, like that Remy Lareau, the Canadian kid.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah, Merrill Oslep.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Cade Michael is going to show back up.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I don't think I've seen him on anything since.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Was he at US Mountain Champs?
- 16:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 16:29Speaker 1: No, he's been in Europe.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Or was it just GoPro?
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it was just GoPro Hendry 4th last year.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Do not sleep on.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Sam Hendry Knows the course, 4th last year in that field, we'll see.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And then Daniel Osans, who was 5th last year.
- 16:48Speaker 2: So again a very deep field, maybe not quite as deep as the Headlands, but nonetheless.
- 16:55Speaker 1: No, I think it's solid, yeah, I less.
- 17:00Speaker 1: No, I think it's solid, yeah, I got.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So it's very interesting.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Our top five is very different.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I don't have heli zine on the start list, by the way.
- 17:03Speaker 1: For mammoth, yeah, I didn't see him on there either.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I didn't see him and I look at the zero like the on, like whoever didn't have a ranking and ultra, sign up at the bottom, because I didn't see him on that I think I did scroll.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I did scroll, that all about yeah, typically do that, just in case that's interesting.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I I would imagine he would race this, but Well, here's the thing With the new switch-up if you only need three, I think he's good to go because he won Mont Blanc.
- 17:28Speaker 1: He got second at Sagamon and Killian.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So you're good, sagamon and Mont.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Blanc, and then he needs one more, and maybe his goal is one more, and then I'm focusing on the finals.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Honestly smart if he does that.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 17:41Speaker 1: So I'm going to start with fifth and go work my way up.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Okay, in fifth I'm going to go Phil Amon.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He was eighth at this race in 2023 despite getting lost, so he actually beat Patrick last year.
- 17:49Speaker 1: They're kind of together.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Second in series and all this year Took killing to the wire in arguably the best dogfight I've ever seen in trail running, mountain running, bananas.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Go watch that anybody who's listening to this and hasn't watched it yet.
- 18:03Speaker 1: In fourth, I'm going.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Taylor Stack Shocks the world.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Baby.
- 18:08Speaker 1: Fourth place, excuse me Fourth at Broken Arrow at 23K.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Fifth at the US Mountain Running Championships.
- 18:14Speaker 1: The kid is so fit and just can perform at a high level in super competitive races.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Like I don't see this as, in my opinion, this is a stacked race, a little bit more stacked than, let's say, like the broken arrow 23k.
- 18:28Speaker 1: But like you don't have any lie in this, nope, so insert eli.
- 18:32Speaker 1: And like that's a.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's a different race, yep, um, yeah, like you don't have mason kopi in this, who you know actually he was a 46k, not the 23k, trying to think of who was there.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Like that wasn't, um, I don't know.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like there was just as much world-class competition.
- 18:47Speaker 1: In my opinion, insert or desert a few people.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Um, in second or sorry, in third, I'm gonna go to roberto di lorenzi.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I think he's like just so consistent so good.
- 18:57Speaker 1: The only reason I have him in third is because he'll race the week before yep, so, but he's like just so consistent, so good.
- 18:59Speaker 2: The only reason I have him third is because he'll race the week before yep, so but he's been doing this all year, so who knows, I don't know, he could very well.
- 19:06Speaker 2: He could win the damn thing he really could.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah um and second, safe money don't make money.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I'm going hawk call shocks the world.
- 19:15Speaker 1: That'd be insane.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And I mean he was second at the us mountain running champs and I'm not saying that's the best gauge to use.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Dude, One speed goat, 28 K.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I watched him at Grand Targhee.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Like dude the kid is so nasty Like, and if you're, I'm telling you right now, the two people, if you're a brand and if you're listening, to this and if you're looking for talent, please, and if you're looking for unsponsored athletes, I'm gonna tell you right now, like you go give taylor stack a call, and you give hawk call a call, and you, you pay them because they're absolutely worth it two of the best in the game right now.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Um I can see hawk end up on like the on on.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I could see that, yeah, we'll see.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know man, where would he be?
- 19:55Speaker 1: And, like taylor, as well, like taylor's you can see, yeah, brooke solomon, somebody like that.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I don't know solomon's kind of being cagey about like they haven't like hired, they haven't like signed a bunch of new, new blood yet, but yeah, oh, they had like their purge a few years ago.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know hawk call, though, like in taylor stack, I don't yeah I I guess if they're not thinking who's?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Building their teams like right now.
- 20:20Speaker 1: That would be I, I, oh, and I don't know if they have like room um yeah but yeah, dude, there's uh, there's some boys to go get uh, and then in first place I'm going patrick because he's the best in the world and like I don't know, this doesn't even seem like a race to me.
- 20:35Speaker 1: It's funny, and neither you or I had remy again in the top five.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Are we just like downers on remy right now?
- 20:41Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 20:42Speaker 1: I don't want to be.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I hope remy proves me wrong me too.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Please prove us all wrong, please because, like I don't want to throw shade on another name but that said, remy just has not had me excited and I feel terrible saying that I don't know it's.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Either he could use the last couple races as motivation to like maybe get back to his old form, or maybe he's just like kind of over this season.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I don't know it's I don't know, I don't know.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I think mickey your your boy, mickey boden, rosio yep, whose poor name I butcher all the time, I guess I've been hearing everyone say mika, okay, I'm gonna start calling him mika.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Not met the kid, but just an absolute talent.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Dude the fact that he took what was it Second place or no?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Third place.
- 21:25Speaker 1: He was right behind Wamsley and the VK, despite biking a hand crank or something like that he was using to get fit on unreal.
- 21:33Speaker 2: He's been in europe running now, so like his legs are, oh for really ready for that.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I think he's like some knee thing going on that.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I think he was able to get through good, um, yeah, I say easily competes for the top 10, if not, if not, the podium not the win.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Um, some sleepers are back half the top 10.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I've got remy like.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I feel like if remy's coming over he has to finish some of these races oh yeah, no, no, he'll be in the top 10 for sure.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say so, liam moreau keep a lookout.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, kid super good um fred trenchard.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Obviously he's a world-class um athlete.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Francesco poopy, andy wacker yep, and he hasn't raced in a while.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I think he's been had a little layoff, so yeah it's gonna be nice to have andy back in the mix.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I like dude, like he had a little injury.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I think it was way back when um he talked about on the podcast.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It was like uh, when, like early season yep, right before the, the asian races yep, yep right and I'm sure now he's probably through it and fit.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I don't know, I haven't seen him in a while, so I would hope he you know.
- 22:35Speaker 1: And same thing with darren.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Darren just had a drop at occ.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Uh, darren thomas, darren thomas is so fucking so good so disgusting when he's on, he's, he's like world class talent.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Um in the sleepers I've got chris vargo.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Dude, that's an old name.
- 22:52Speaker 2: That's like throwing it back to the early days I just wrote.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Chris Vargo, slash legend, and his wife, alicia Vargo, had a great, great race last year at Mammoth.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I didn't see her on the start list though for Mammoth.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I got to go back and check that when we go to the women, sure, but I would imagine she'd come back, considering she had a great race last year and she's world class um corporate corcoran wild boy himself.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Um yeah he's always in the mix.
- 23:22Speaker 1: He's always in the mix.
- 23:23Speaker 1: He's always in the mix did you see what he did to his leg before the tantra?
- 23:26Speaker 1: You're like no, almost like cut his leg off on a mountain bike accident.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I shouldn't say that's a bit much.
- 23:32Speaker 1: He like gashed it.
- 23:33Speaker 1: He like gashed his leg.
- 23:34Speaker 1: He had to get stitches.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So he didn't race, he just went over there to like hang out at the Olympics and be a wild boy.
- 23:39Speaker 1: So he's probably super fit, dude.
- 23:41Speaker 1: He ran like some disgustingly fast 10K like shortly before he hurt himself and it was really fast.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I don't remember what the time was.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I just said Cade, michael and then a few boys that I, a few boys that I raced at Cirque series this year that were pretty nasty.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Liam Hammonds he is a former champion of the broken air, 11 K top five finisher Most of the Cirque races that he did this year Nasty, really good.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I'd put him up there.
- 24:17Speaker 1: And then Andrew Kapnick another one to keep watching out for Very consistent, very big name, or essentially a big name Yep.
- 24:23Speaker 1: And you know, just like I said, beat the shit out of a lot of people at Cirque this year.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Just very consistent, yep.
- 24:29Speaker 2: You know his girlfriend's Giselle Slopoom?
- 24:33Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 1: I'm almost a 100% sure, because they're like always together when I say, oh dude, I know he approached me, so like how I got to meet him was like.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I guess he recognized me from the podcast.
- 24:43Speaker 2: We started talking about the start line, so yeah, yeah, he's good shit.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah, interesting kid.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I have G list as well and she's, she's a beast, beast, um.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's talk women.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I'll let you go first.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, start from five again.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Uh, fifth, I have tabor.
- 24:58Speaker 2: She was seventh last year.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Uh, you know she's been killing it and I think she's bound to, you know, have her race.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Um, and it very well could be this and she could be, you know, top two maybe.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Um, yeah, super excited to see Tabor back in.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Uh, on the golden trail series.
- 25:14Speaker 2: We haven't seen her in a golden trail race since probably the finals last year, so it'll be fun to see her back in the mix.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Uh, for Anna Gibson she was fourth last year.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Uh, second at broken arrow, vk six this year is an.
- 25:28Speaker 2: All.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Just had the rendezvous mountain Hill climb record.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Uh, killer she.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I think she's going to absolutely crush this race.
- 25:34Speaker 2: This is last year kind of, when she made a name for herself.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I think it was around this time.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Actually, it was kind of just all of last summer.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Third, miao Miao won OCC, third at Mont Blanc.
- 25:48Speaker 2: She's fast, she's going to be up there, she's going to go out hard with second here, judith Wider.
- 25:54Speaker 2: She was second at OCC, won Mont Blanc and she's a past winner.
- 26:00Speaker 2: She won last year.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yes, she won off other people going off course, but she still won nonetheless and she knows the course.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So expect to see Judith up there.
- 26:08Speaker 2: And then first I have Madalena Floria.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Strictly because she was in first last year up until she took a wrong turn and ended up third.
- 26:19Speaker 2: But yeah, right now she's 10th in the Golden Trail standings and I expect her to honestly finish in the top three.
- 26:23Speaker 2: So I'm expecting big things from her here and at Headlands.
- 26:27Speaker 2: A couple maybe sleepers Jade Bellsburg, yep, that's a big name.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yep.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Giselle Slopboom, like we mentioned.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Rachel Drake Funny to see.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Anna Loudon, if you recognize that name.
- 26:42Speaker 2: She won Javelina and she was 11th at Western States, so kind of cool to see an ultra runner coming with the fast cat.
- 26:51Speaker 2: So we'll see what happens.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Emma Cook-Cl clark that was a cool one to see yeah, sky runner for real.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Uh, she kind of has stuck on the sky running series for the most part.
- 27:00Speaker 2: So to see her, you know, step into something different, maybe something a little faster, less technical, uh, in the golden trail series it'll be.
- 27:06Speaker 2: It'll be interesting to see see what she can do.
- 27:09Speaker 2: She's a crusher, uh.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Allison baka, she's, I think, planning to do both, uh, this and headlands.
- 27:16Speaker 2: So you want to see a coloradan out there.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Um, claire rhodes, right, what's that?
- 27:20Speaker 1: She's from golden, I think.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yep, yep yep, yep, just had a kid like I don't think not too long ago.
- 27:24Speaker 2: So yeah, new mom, super cool, super cool mom strength um yep yep, uh, claire rhodes, alaska alaskan right, she's that alaska.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, poor Claire.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I feel like I jinxed Claire when it came to OCC.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I was like I really had her in my top five and I think she was very capable of it.
- 27:38Speaker 2: What ended up happening?
- 27:39Speaker 1: She dropped, she dropped yeah, she like I think overheated or something.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Everybody overheated at OCC.
- 27:47Speaker 2: But she's such a good climber Nope.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Then MK, excited to see her out there, and then Daniela Omas, who has had a couple pretty good results.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Yeah, former Zagama winner Yep, yep, yep.
- 28:02Speaker 2: So a little different course than Zagama.
- 28:04Speaker 2: So we'll see, but she's been here before.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's cool to see more people.
- 28:09Speaker 2: But yeah, again another deep field, even for the women here.
- 28:11Speaker 2: It's going to be great.
- 28:12Speaker 2: This is anyone's race.
- 28:14Speaker 1: This.
- 28:14Speaker 1: But yeah, again, another deep field, even for the women here.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It's.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It's going to be great.
- 28:16Speaker 1: This is anyone's race, this is a great feel.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I'm excited for the.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I think that I think it might be more excited for the women's race, just to see what's going to happen at the front.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Like.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Judith and Mal.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Like we're getting how, this is going to be the third duel of the year between Judith and Mal.
- 28:25Speaker 2: It's becoming a rivalry.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I think I like this rivalries in our sport so cool.
- 28:35Speaker 1: All right, so I'm gonna go start with my fifth as well.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna go rachel drake and fifth, um, I think rachel drake is so, so good dude and, like I said, I saw her elta and she didn't run this last year, right?
- 28:41Speaker 1: No, no, and she's like so this year she got, she won black canyon and she got eighth at western states and then, like dude, she just wheels.
- 28:51Speaker 1: She's so fast, yeah, um, yeah.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I I gotta say like rachel jake could probably compete for the win here, like I would love to see that um.
- 29:00Speaker 1: In fourth place I'm gonna go tabor.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I think tabor and it might not be the win she's been searching for, but I think it gets her back into the plus column after a tough day at occ.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Like we know, we're both the big tababor's biggest fans.
- 29:14Speaker 1: She took 7th and 23.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I think Tabor is way fitter than she was last year.
- 29:19Speaker 2: She appears to be, she continues to get better and better.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I think definitely capable of 4th, if not competing for the podium.
- 29:27Speaker 1: At 3rd, I'm going to go Maoyao 1st at OCC.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I think, like I said, the delimiter here, yao first dose.
- 29:32Speaker 1: You see, I think, like I said, the delimiter here on keeping Malia anything lower than first place is going to be like what, what is that?
- 29:38Speaker 1: What do things look like post race?
- 29:39Speaker 1: Like, how have you recovered?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Also, like you said, you know you come over to America.
- 29:43Speaker 1: The time change is wildly different yeah.
- 29:46Speaker 1: So are you gonna be jet lagged?
- 29:47Speaker 1: And then, on top of that, to make matters even weirder, like what's the diet?
- 29:50Speaker 1: Like American Center diet, sucks do yeah what are they feeding these people?
- 29:53Speaker 1: You know, I didn't even think about that you know, like are we getting like shitty gluten bread?
- 29:59Speaker 1: Like what do we get?
- 30:00Speaker 1: What are we doing to these people here?
- 30:01Speaker 1: Um so, hopefully the athletes are able to adapt.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Well, bring your rice cooker yeah exactly.
- 30:05Speaker 1: The rice cooker is the way to go um in second place.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Uh, judith wider.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I just think judith won it last year.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I do this beast um, you know I, I have judith wider slash madalena floria for second place just because I just don't like and because, like, first place is very apparent to me.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I really think anna gibson, in very rare air, has the ability to win both these races and might actually do it.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I think anna gibson wins one of them.
- 30:30Speaker 1: That'd be incredible.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I I don't know if she, like, I have her in first for this one, fourth in 2023, so she can race at altitude.
- 30:36Speaker 1: See this anna gibson's weird.
- 30:38Speaker 1: So like, yeah, she lives in california, but like also is in top.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Um is in, uh jackson all the time she's like a jackson athlete just won the rendezvous hill climb, which is like if you weren't like altitude adapted, yeah, right if you weren't.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Altitude adapted and they took the record from Janet Lichtner, who's a monster.
- 30:57Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know, dude, I think Anna Gibson just has to have the right race and she's going to take it away, Robbie.
- 31:05Speaker 2: We need some.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Sorry, my dog's nudging Nick.
- 31:08Speaker 2: No, we need some US runner to take the top here.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think she's capable.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I mean six series and all and like that deep of a race oh yeah, and like it was really hot, you know, you don't I haven't checked the weather of what what it's gonna be like yeah we'll have to see.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I know she did have like like I think she kind of had like a perfect day at series and all.
- 31:29Speaker 2: At least that's what it kind of seemed like.
- 31:31Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But six still is so good, so so good I don't know.
- 31:34Speaker 1: We're gonna find out.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I mean, you also remember too, like series and all has like a strong downhill component, like how, like anna's obviously showed herself as like one of the best climbers in the field this year what, what's the downhill gonna be like?
- 31:46Speaker 2: you know, and then like she's got that track speed, though I think.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I think track speed translates to downhill better than uphill.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Sometimes it's like I can't physically run sub five, probably like she can, that's true.
- 32:00Speaker 2: That's like nothing to her.
- 32:01Speaker 1: You know that's true Back half the field.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I've got Kaitlyn Felder just because Kaitlyn Felder is the most consistent athlete in this field, I believe.
- 32:09Speaker 1: As far as a top ten performance, kaitlyn Felder is always going to deliver one somewhere in that seventh or tenth place.
- 32:14Speaker 1: As far as a top 10 performance, caitlin Felder is always going to deliver one somewhere in that 7th or 10th place.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Dude, she's so reliable, man so crazy.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And she's like I didn't realize she got a high placement in OCC, not this year, but this year she went top 10.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Well, last year I think she was like 4th.
- 32:27Speaker 1: She had like Gosh, she's really good, um, did you know?
- 32:36Speaker 1: She's like I don't know if she's married to or dating one of the?
- 32:38Speaker 1: Um arab myths.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Uh, they're emirates.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Um uae cyclists.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Oh, really like tata pagacha's.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Um, like, like teammate very cool.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so it's kind of interesting.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah, do you follow cycling much?
- 32:50Speaker 2: I don't, I don't want to, I want to, I've.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I've been eyeing up as I scroll netflix or whatever.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Slippery slope dude.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I've heard it.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Be careful okay you gotta, you gotta make sure, like wait till the off.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Maybe it's a winter thing.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah, wait till you get some time.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Um, danny marino, I have as well in the back half the top 10, all right.
- 33:07Speaker 1: So a name here that I think will definitely compete for the top 10 and I think just is deserving of the top 10 and I think we'll have the race that she's supposed to is christina mascarinas, three-time pikes peak marathon champion and one of the like I think she has the second fastest downhill in the field, uh, or in the field on the pikes peak course yep um the only person that's ever run faster on the pikes peak, I believe, is maude um so she can put herself in contention in the uphill portion.
- 33:35Speaker 2: She's she'll be good and she's a great uphill runner dude, she can climb.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Um, like her scent times in the pipe and pikes are phenomenal.
- 33:41Speaker 1: So, yeah, I think she's been working on getting significantly faster, in the sense, and I think this is going to be where it all comes together.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I know she dealt with some injuries.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I don't know if she's fully back.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I I haven't asked her.
- 33:52Speaker 1: It's kind of a weird thing to ask Like, hey, are you back from injury?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Cause I want to put you on my top 10.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Um, but no, I, like I said, I'm a big believer in Christina and I think you got to remember too, christina, I don't how do I say this?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Like, I feel like if Christina to to, to forego Pike's Peak Marathon to go after a different goal, yeah, that's a good point.
- 34:16Speaker 2: I think that's a big deal, that's a big for her and you gotta have a lot of confidence in yourself to go do that.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:22Speaker 1: So I really want to see her do big things, and I think she's totally capable of it.
- 34:26Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 34:26Speaker 2: It's gonna be cool.
- 34:28Speaker 1: As well.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Claire Rhodes.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I've got in the mix Giselle Slotboom.
- 34:31Speaker 1: I've got in the mix giselle slot boom.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Um allison baka and lara hamilton.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Um, I don't know if lara is going to show up.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I got a messenger.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I'm not really sure.
- 34:40Speaker 1: But yeah, I know she's crested butte training up there and gunnison crested butte, so and we will see.
- 34:45Speaker 1: We will see.
- 34:45Speaker 1: That's all I got, man.
- 34:46Speaker 1: That's uh, I think that's all I got for mammoth yeah, do you know?
- 34:50Speaker 2: last year I'm trying to recall did they?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Did they do a live stream?
- 34:54Speaker 1: I have no idea.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember, I don't know if they did.
- 34:57Speaker 2: I think you're a little bit too far out there to maybe get one there, but no, I don't.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I think you could pull it, because it's like in the town, dude, it's like very like, I just don't know I haven't been to mammoth so I'm not 100% sure.
- 35:07Speaker 2: But to me I don't know that area is always like middle of nowhere, but yeah, I don't know it'd be interesting I don't know.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Either way, golden trail will put together a great recap, I'm sure, of both these.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Exciting to see it's I'm looking forward to, to a big, to a big weekend man it should be fun.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Two back-to-backs.
- 35:21Speaker 1: It's gonna be strange because it's like competing with pikes yeah, same weekend.
- 35:27Speaker 1: So it's like how does that?
- 35:28Speaker 1: you know how's that gonna work out, so I don't know.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Should be fun, yeah, all right.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Well, dude, uh brother, I'm not gonna see you, so best of luck at the rut 28k this weekend.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I am so excited for you.
- 35:39Speaker 1: We'll have to do a post-race recap.
