- 0:00Speaker 1: We're back to it. It's 4.06 on a Wednesday afternoon,
- 0:03Speaker 1: June 17th. We're at 76 degrees on a beautiful Wednesday
- 0:07Speaker 1: afternoon on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Ron Verba, G2' s in the
- 0:11Speaker 1: studio with me today on this very newsworthy day. And
- 0:15Speaker 1: so let me see, Rich is out there. And let
- 0:18Speaker 1: me just ask you, Rich, what do you make of
- 0:20Speaker 1: this agreement?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Oh, I think, you know, if it holds, it's a
- 0:25Speaker 2: good way to get out of it. I think right
- 0:26Speaker 2: now we're at sort of a detente. But if I
- 0:30Speaker 2: could say one thing, I found something out interesting. Last Thursday,
- 0:33Speaker 2: I became a precinct committeeman out here in Beaver. And
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm sitting there, and this guy comes over to me,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and he says, G2 says hi.
- 0:41Speaker 1: All right, well, that's a whole other story. Let's stay focused.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Well, I found out he grew up..
- 0:49Speaker 1: I don't want to get into any of this stuff,
- 0:51Speaker 1: all right? I don't want to get into it.
- 0:53Speaker 2: All right, all right.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So just go on. Okay.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I think we're at a detente right now. Is it
- 1:00Speaker 2: going to be a great deal for us? No, it's
- 1:02Speaker 2: not going to be. I think we're looking for any
- 1:05Speaker 2: way we can get out of this right now and
- 1:07Speaker 2: still save face. If you listen to J.D. Vance running
- 1:11Speaker 2: the circuit yesterday on the different TV shows from The Viewed,
- 1:17Speaker 2: I think he was on Gutfeld. He was also on
- 1:20Speaker 2: The Five, I think. And he basically said, you know,
- 1:23Speaker 2: they're going to get $ 300 billion, but it's not going
- 1:26Speaker 2: to be a dime of taxpayer money. And they don't
- 1:29Speaker 2: get it unless they meet certain benchmarks. Now, my biggest
- 1:33Speaker 2: question is how you're going to, you know, monitor those
- 1:36Speaker 2: benchmarks to make sure that they're hitting them, they're not
- 1:38Speaker 2: cheating or what have you, because they're the world's biggest
- 1:40Speaker 2: liars and cheaters. You know, do I think starting this
- 1:45Speaker 2: was a brilliant idea? No, I mean, I've never advocated
- 1:49Speaker 2: for starting this war. All I've said is, once it's started,
- 1:53Speaker 2: if you can defang Iran and get them to be
- 1:55Speaker 2: a little better actor in the Middle East, it's not
- 1:58Speaker 2: a bad thing. It's going to be a good thing
- 1:59Speaker 2: for the world in the end. You know, I don't
- 2:03Speaker 2: think anybody, you'd be hard-pressed, other than like Lindsey Graham
- 2:06Speaker 2: and some of the right-wing neocons that are war hawks.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I don't think you'd find anybody that said, yeah, we
- 2:12Speaker 2: need to start this war in March because Iran was
- 2:16Speaker 2: going to nuke Columbus or something. That was never going
- 2:19Speaker 2: to happen.
- 2:19Speaker 4: No.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But in the end, if it works out and Iran
- 2:23Speaker 2: is a little weak, well, by any measure, Iran is
- 2:26Speaker 2: going to be much weaker, at least for the next
- 2:28Speaker 2: five to ten years, because it's going to take them
- 2:30Speaker 2: that long just to rebuild what we destroyed. And I
- 2:33Speaker 2: don't think that's a bad thing. That's all I've said
- 2:35Speaker 2: ever since this war came out. You're not going to
- 2:38Speaker 2: get me to defend starting it, because there probably wasn't
- 2:41Speaker 2: really a need to do it, to be honest with you.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well, if you remember the.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Early days, if.
- 2:46Speaker 5: You remember the early days when they were talking about
- 2:48Speaker 5: having this prince, Pahlavi, go back in and become the
- 2:52Speaker 5: new supreme leader, the new ruler, the new Shah, that
- 2:56Speaker 5: was a silly pipe dream. The guy hasn't been there
- 2:58Speaker 5: in 47 years. You know, he's got, of course, tremendous
- 3:01Speaker 5: support among the Iranian community that was exiled, but he
- 3:05Speaker 5: wouldn't be accepted in that country. So there have been
- 3:07Speaker 5: a lot of silly discussions along the way here. And again,
- 3:11Speaker 5: most discussions that we're having now are framed in the
- 3:13Speaker 5: construct of, I love Israel, I love Trump, I hate Trump,
- 3:18Speaker 5: or I'm really looking at the United States' best interest.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Now that's last group, that U.S. group, that's the smallest group,
- 3:24Speaker 5: it seems. They're not represented very well in media, certainly
- 3:26Speaker 5: not on Fox or CNN. They're not represented very well
- 3:29Speaker 5: in the government. I mean, this fight between J.D. Vance
- 3:32Speaker 5: and the rest of the cabinet, you know, mixing it up.
- 3:35Speaker 5: And if you look now, again, just go back and
- 3:37Speaker 5: look at the picture of Howard Lutnick standing behind Trump.
- 3:39Speaker 5: He looks like He looks, he's just shooting daggers. So,
- 3:42Speaker 5: you know, you've got those folks all discombobulated, you know,
- 3:47Speaker 5: all working for their own angle. And then you've got
- 3:49Speaker 5: these pundits, whatever their platform or expertise, that are framing
- 3:53Speaker 5: this in terms of their relationship with Trump or something.
- 3:57Speaker 5: How about this? Let's step back, take a breath, and
- 4:00Speaker 5: just look at the facts. Let's just take a look
- 4:02Speaker 5: at it. Let's not assume, for example, that $ 300 billion
- 4:06Speaker 5: announced in this MOU means that Let's say Saudi, the UAE,
- 4:10Speaker 5: the United States are going to give them $ 300 billion
- 4:12Speaker 5: to go refresh their drone and missile factories, to go
- 4:16Speaker 5: restock their anti-aircraft equipment. That would be stupid. So I
- 4:21Speaker 5: don't think that's going to happen. That is what Obama did.
- 4:24Speaker 5: He just gave them cash.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But remember, he just titled the cash over.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Exactly. And so they could use it for any purpose,
- 4:30Speaker 5: including letting the Houthis harass the Seas. But why would
- 4:34Speaker 5: he do that? Well, the same reason supported the Muslim
- 4:36Speaker 5: Brotherhood and the Arab Spring. That was his mission in life. Now,
- 4:41Speaker 5: that's not Trump's mission in life. And again, looking at
- 4:44Speaker 5: the way Donald Trump has done deals and think about
- 4:46Speaker 5: the Abraham Accords and other things that have been done,
- 4:49Speaker 5: what he did down in Venezuela, you know, alarming at first, right?
- 4:53Speaker 5: But pretty well executed. And look what's happening now. It's
- 4:55Speaker 5: going extremely well. Trump isn't the guy that's going to
- 4:58Speaker 5: run in there and just throw cash around so they
- 5:00Speaker 5: can go rearm and start attacking water and oil infrastructure
- 5:05Speaker 5: across the Middle East.
- 5:05Speaker 1: He's not going to do that.
- 5:07Speaker 5: So let's wait until we get the details and find
- 5:10Speaker 5: out what they are. When I read the language I
- 5:12Speaker 5: just saw, the U.S. agrees to ensure financing of at
- 5:17Speaker 5: least $ 300 billion, I suspect it will be much more,
- 5:20Speaker 5: for the rehabilitation and economic development of Iran. That's financing.
- 5:25Speaker 5: It's not $ 300 billion of cash to go buy AK-47s
- 5:29Speaker 5: and RPGs. So the $ 300 billion to me is the actual...
- 5:35Speaker 5: big thing right that that's the the hook that gives
- 5:38Speaker 5: them a reason to come back into the the you
- 5:41Speaker 5: know the community a bit to stop being constantly disruptive
- 5:44Speaker 5: because they have a chance to get real infrastructure investment
- 5:47Speaker 5: that they desperately need everybody knows tehran's running out of
- 5:49Speaker 5: water right they may have to move the city right
- 5:52Speaker 5: they may have to move the city but if they
- 5:54Speaker 5: move it they got to move it to somewhere with
- 5:56Speaker 5: water there is infrastructure investment that's desperately needed in a
- 6:00Speaker 5: country that spent 47 years under incredibly harsh sanctions his
- 6:05Speaker 5: only relief was obama so i think that uh... i
- 6:09Speaker 5: think this three hundred billion may be the key to
- 6:12Speaker 5: hooking them and taking this from an m o u
- 6:14Speaker 5: which is a good point along the path to a
- 6:17Speaker 5: deal from an m o u to an actual full
- 6:20Speaker 5: executed deal that could be successful now if that doesn't
- 6:23Speaker 5: happen if it just can't happen or israel won't allow
- 6:25Speaker 5: it so they keep bombing killing lebanese you know the
- 6:28Speaker 5: the iranians uh... start bombing killing people in i don't
- 6:32Speaker 5: know kuwait If that's what happens, well, then this is
- 6:36Speaker 5: going to turn back into a war, and it's going
- 6:38Speaker 5: to be hot. Now, how hot? Well, again, we know
- 6:41Speaker 5: we're not going to deploy forces into the country. We're
- 6:44Speaker 5: not going to deploy ground forces. I don't think anybody
- 6:46Speaker 5: thinks Trump is going to do that. So what are
- 6:48Speaker 5: you looking at? Well, you're looking at MOABs. You're looking
- 6:52Speaker 5: at all the bunker buster types, wherever those are needed.
- 6:55Speaker 5: You're looking at regular bombs. At some point, you're looking
- 6:58Speaker 5: at bigger weapons, and we just don't ever want to
- 7:02Speaker 5: get there. So I think that it is not one
- 7:06Speaker 5: party has an interest in ending this and the other
- 7:08Speaker 5: party thinks it's a great idea to keep this going
- 7:11Speaker 5: at the loss of $ 400 billion a day. I think
- 7:13Speaker 5: both sides have an interest in getting to a deal.
- 7:17Speaker 5: I don't think anybody's naive about what Iran's nature is
- 7:20Speaker 5: and how they negotiate and how things work. I don't
- 7:22Speaker 5: think anybody's naive about that. But at some point, we
- 7:26Speaker 5: either have to make the decision that we're going to
- 7:27Speaker 5: obliterate that nation or we're going to come to a deal.
- 7:31Speaker 5: There's no middle ground. My question for.
- 7:34Speaker 2: You is this, though. In light of everything that's happened,
- 7:38Speaker 2: I think what this last three, four months has shown
- 7:41Speaker 2: us is we thought we had friends in the world,
- 7:45Speaker 2: and when we needed these friends to step up and
- 7:47Speaker 2: maybe help us keep the straight open and stuff like that,
- 7:49Speaker 2: none of them could be bothered. We didn't even need
- 7:52Speaker 2: the oil from over there. Most of our oil is
- 7:55Speaker 2: here in Canada. We produce enough in this hemisphere to
- 7:58Speaker 2: more than survive. The people that did need the oil
- 8:01Speaker 2: were the Asian countries and Europe.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And none of them, none of them lifted a finger
- 8:06Speaker 2: to help us out during this whole conflict.
- 8:08Speaker 5: Well, but we don't know.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So the lesson that I take from this is I
- 8:11Speaker 2: think it's time to tell NATO, you know, we're going
- 8:14Speaker 2: to give you three or four years, and we're basically
- 8:17Speaker 2: pulling out of Europe. We'll leave a shell force there.
- 8:20Speaker 5: I'd give NATO three or four minutes. But your point
- 8:24Speaker 5: is right, but it doesn't mean that they're not behind
- 8:26Speaker 5: the scenes right now applying whatever pressure they have Because
- 8:29Speaker 5: the economies of Europe have certain structural problems since the
- 8:33Speaker 5: globalists decided to basically undermine their own countries. So you've
- 8:37Speaker 5: got problems there. China is running– its TikTok is running
- 8:40Speaker 5: out on this reserve it has. So they've got to
- 8:45Speaker 5: be raising the pressure that they're enforcing to get this
- 8:48Speaker 5: deal done. There was a reason Trump went to China.
- 8:51Speaker 5: We don't know what happened there, right? But there was
- 8:53Speaker 5: a reason he went there, and the timing was oddly–
- 8:57Speaker 5: pre uh... predating this this m o u i think
- 9:01Speaker 5: that that we could be seeing tremendous help from other
- 9:04Speaker 5: countries that will never be visible putting pressure on iran
- 9:07Speaker 5: telling them you've got a great we'll see and if
- 9:10Speaker 5: not unleash the beasts.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Of war.
- 9:14Speaker 2: But i hate to see that i i i don't
- 9:16Speaker 2: want to see any i'm tired of our boys going
- 9:19Speaker 2: overseas and dying for other countries and i i i
- 9:22Speaker 2: think i would have no problem with us just pulling
- 9:24Speaker 2: our troops out of most of the rest of the world,
- 9:26Speaker 2: build Fortress America and call it a day. I know
- 9:28Speaker 2: isolationism is not a good thing historically, but maybe it's
- 9:32Speaker 2: time to give it another try.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Well, it's a point. But remember, in our lifetimes, we
- 9:37Speaker 5: have had U.S.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Forces all over the world.
- 9:39Speaker 5: None of us know what the world would be like
- 9:41Speaker 5: in the absence of significant U.S. presence overseas. Now, we
- 9:45Speaker 5: look at somebody like this, Victoria Nuland and all these
- 9:47Speaker 5: lunatics and what they did in in the don bass
- 9:50Speaker 5: and and all these bio labs they did around the
- 9:52Speaker 5: world were saying you know this seems to have gotten
- 9:53Speaker 5: a little out of control they've used our money and
- 9:56Speaker 5: our name to do things that they probably shouldn't have
- 9:58Speaker 5: done But it doesn't necessarily mean that just because Victoria
- 10:02Speaker 5: Nuland has a bloodlust, we have to go off and
- 10:04Speaker 5: withdraw from everything. And there's no question that in many
- 10:07Speaker 5: ways we've been a stabilizing force. And so I'm not
- 10:13Speaker 5: so sure that we need to just withdraw to Fortress America.
- 10:17Speaker 5: i think maybe we need to remain engaged but we
- 10:19Speaker 5: need to do it in a more uh... in a
- 10:21Speaker 5: smarter way that is more aligned with the interest of
- 10:23Speaker 5: the american people and less aligned with the interest of
- 10:26Speaker 5: these globalist lunatics who control our government and and that
- 10:29Speaker 5: is you know you look at the department of state
- 10:30Speaker 5: they think those are patriots look what they've done you
- 10:34Speaker 5: know where's this forty trillion dollars gone we have an
- 10:37Speaker 5: extraordinarily corrupted government you know trump has not been very
- 10:42Speaker 5: effective it call in that swamp he just hasn't been
- 10:45Speaker 5: look what i'm a dose we got a Almost no cuts. What,
- 10:48Speaker 5: $ 9 billion out of $ 2 trillion? That's nothing. So I
- 10:53Speaker 5: think that we've got a lot of problems, but it
- 10:56Speaker 5: doesn't necessarily mean we chuck the system. If we can
- 10:58Speaker 5: fix it, let's fix it. If we can't fix it,
- 11:01Speaker 5: it's going to melt down, and we're going to end
- 11:02Speaker 5: up not just with wars in Iran. We're going to
- 11:04Speaker 5: end up with problems in this country that look like
- 11:07Speaker 5: what we're seeing in parts of Ireland and parts of
- 11:09Speaker 5: Europe where we're losing our own nation, and we're going
- 11:12Speaker 5: to basically be fighting in the streets.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Well, the debt in the whole world, not just us,
- 11:18Speaker 2: but even the rest of the world, is alarming. If
- 11:20Speaker 2: there's ever going to be a black swan event, that's
- 11:22Speaker 2: probably it.
- 11:25Speaker 1: All right. Thank you, Rich. Appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yes, hi, Ron G2. How are you guys doing?
- 11:32Speaker 5: Great.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I'm happy today. I'm happy that we have a deal,
- 11:36Speaker 4: and my dislike of Trump has subsided.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It's not a deal. It's a memorandum of understanding.
- 11:44Speaker 6: Right.
- 11:45Speaker 4: I think Trump is beginning to turn around the super
- 11:48Speaker 4: tanker U.S., and it takes time, but I have a
- 11:51Speaker 4: lot of confidence in Trump. And unlike Frank, I'm very
- 11:55Speaker 4: bullish on the market. And as I agree with Rich,
- 11:59Speaker 4: it's only down 1% today. And if it goes down 5%,
- 12:04Speaker 4: it won't concern me. If it goes down 20%, you
- 12:08Speaker 4: get into correction territory, then it might get my attention.
- 12:12Speaker 4: But getting back to Frank. He said he bought stock today.
- 12:17Speaker 4: What he wanted to do, he should have taken advantage
- 12:20Speaker 4: yesterday of options on SpaceX. The first day of trading
- 12:25Speaker 4: options on an IPO presents enormous opportunities, and I'm thrilled
- 12:30Speaker 4: with the trades I made yesterday. I took advantage of
- 12:34Speaker 4: the opportunities. And as far as shorting stocks, he was
- 12:39Speaker 4: talking about shorting stocks. I haven't shorted a stock for
- 12:42Speaker 4: 20 years. It's a dangerous proposition unless you have inside information,
- 12:48Speaker 4: and then you're responsible for paying the dividends on that
- 12:52Speaker 4: stock from the person who you borrowed it from and
- 12:55Speaker 4: other fees. It just didn't work out for me, so
- 12:58Speaker 4: I haven't done that in 20 years. And a quick
- 13:03Speaker 4: question for G2 later, but one more thing. You cannot
- 13:07Speaker 4: short SpaceX. Unlike Frank saying you can, I called my
- 13:12Speaker 4: broker today. Schwab, and they're restricted from, since they were
- 13:18Speaker 4: involved in the IPO rollout, they're restricted for 30 days
- 13:24Speaker 4: because of a conflict of interest in taking part in
- 13:28Speaker 4: shorting that stock. So you can't, it's non-marginal. So I
- 13:34Speaker 4: think Frank was wrong on that point. And like I say,
- 13:38Speaker 4: it's a bad, it's a bad idea to short stocks anyway.
- 13:42Speaker 4: I'm very bullish on the rest of the year on stocks.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I'm happy today with the Fed. They could have raised
- 13:48Speaker 4: rates today. I'm happy that they held rates the same.
- 13:51Speaker 4: And I think we've got a good outlook going forward,
- 13:55Speaker 4: and if Trump doesn't make any more blunders. And one
- 14:00Speaker 4: other quick point. I'm heading down after this call to
- 14:04Speaker 4: my favorite place in Youngstown, the Jewish Community Center. So
- 14:08Speaker 4: I'm not anti-Semitic. I go there every day. So even
- 14:12Speaker 4: though I knock and I tell my Jewish friends, we
- 14:16Speaker 4: have disagreements, but not with you. You're my friends. I
- 14:19Speaker 4: might have disagreements with your government and NetYahu and how
- 14:23Speaker 4: the policies are going in Lebanon, but as far as
- 14:28Speaker 4: the Jewish people, I have no problem with them. So
- 14:31Speaker 4: now my question for G2. I don't know if you've
- 14:34Speaker 4: heard about, on the SpaceX, Elon Musk putting the data centers,
- 14:39Speaker 4: or they should be called computing centers... in outer space?
- 14:44Speaker 5: Of course, I know that they've got a prototype designed
- 14:46Speaker 5: for that and obviously the cooling question is answered. It
- 14:51Speaker 5: would be interesting to see how they will convey that
- 14:54Speaker 5: data back down or the results back down to the
- 14:57Speaker 5: surface and how that's also going to transfer energy down
- 15:01Speaker 5: through microwaves and such. That is a really quite a
- 15:05Speaker 5: unique advanced next stage of technology. But when it happens,
- 15:09Speaker 5: or even when just we have the normal advancement of technology,
- 15:14Speaker 5: the way it's been advancing since the dawn of this
- 15:17Speaker 5: computer age, we may be sitting on a real problem
- 15:21Speaker 5: with these data centers, and they could just be a
- 15:24Speaker 5: nation burdened with white elephants that are very expensive.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Do you think the data centers on Earth are the
- 15:31Speaker 4: data centers in orbit?
- 15:33Speaker 6: On Earth?
- 15:33Speaker 5: I mean, if they get to putting them up in orbit...
- 15:37Speaker 5: Those are going to be working, right? They may do
- 15:40Speaker 5: one and test it. They'll do another one and test it.
- 15:41Speaker 5: But if they ever go to mass use, you know,
- 15:44Speaker 5: significant scale use of data, you're right, it's not data centers.
- 15:49Speaker 5: They're computing centers. If computing centers in orbit, well, they're
- 15:52Speaker 5: going to work. I'm not worried about that. And by
- 15:54Speaker 5: the way, they'll be owned by somebody else. But these
- 15:57Speaker 5: data centers that are being built in communities across the
- 16:00Speaker 5: United States... There's a risk with these.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Hold that thought. Hang on for a second, caller. Back
- 16:05Speaker 1: with G2. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570. WKBN here tonight till 7.
- 16:08Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570. WKBN. All right. Let's see. So, any other
- 16:17Speaker 1: comments for the caller?
- 16:18Speaker 4: I guess we were talking about the data centers, and
- 16:21Speaker 4: I watched the interview with Musk and one of his
- 16:24Speaker 4: lead engineers, and they're confident that they said within 30 months,
- 16:29Speaker 4: we're going to have one up and running. and then
- 16:32Speaker 4: they're going to bring them to scale. And what I
- 16:34Speaker 4: found fascinating, you know who the lead engineer is on SpaceX?
- 16:38Speaker 5: No.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Elon Musk himself.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 4: I don't know how he does all of this stuff.
- 16:44Speaker 4: He's doing that, and he works along with the other engineers,
- 16:47Speaker 4: but it all comes from that guy's brain.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And it's fascinating. And like G2 said, other people will...
- 16:57Speaker 4: They're running the data centers now. The one in Memphis, Tennessee,
- 17:01Speaker 4: Anthropic is paying Musk $ 1. 5 billion a month to use
- 17:07Speaker 4: that computing center for their AI training, their AI models.
- 17:12Speaker 4: So he's generating revenues there.
- 17:14Speaker 5: But see, there's an important question there. So you take
- 17:17Speaker 5: a company like OpenAI or Anthropic, or one of these
- 17:20Speaker 5: trillion dollars, one of them is $ 1. 4 trillion theoretical valuation.
- 17:25Speaker 5: Do they own the data centers? Do they have a
- 17:27Speaker 5: revenue model at any reasonable timeline that will justify their valuations?
- 17:31Speaker 5: These are questions for the companies. But for the communities
- 17:33Speaker 5: that are housing these data centers, we've talked extensively about
- 17:36Speaker 5: the energy draw, the water draw. We've talked a little
- 17:39Speaker 5: bit about the land. I went by a data center
- 17:42Speaker 5: site just yesterday. This beautiful black, loamy soil that should
- 17:46Speaker 5: be growing food that's been pushed to the side because
- 17:48Speaker 5: they're covering the site with gravel and they're going to
- 17:50Speaker 5: build a data center. How long will that data center
- 17:53Speaker 5: be there? really useful. It'll be obsolete the day it starts, right?
- 17:58Speaker 5: The day they build it and turn it on, it
- 18:00Speaker 5: will already be obsolete, as is often the case. All right,
- 18:03Speaker 5: so who owns it? If it's owned by some LLC
- 18:06Speaker 5: and not by the Anthropix or OpenAIs or SpaceX, if
- 18:10Speaker 5: it's owned by some other company and they lease it
- 18:14Speaker 5: to the OpenAIs, and OpenAI doesn't need it anymore, at
- 18:19Speaker 5: what point do those payments cease? And what do you
- 18:21Speaker 5: do with the data center that's left behind? So I
- 18:24Speaker 5: think this financing, the ownership structure, any kind of guarantees,
- 18:28Speaker 5: the length of the leases for the company that's going
- 18:31Speaker 5: to use the processing capacity, and then the decommissioning. These
- 18:34Speaker 5: are critical elements that these communities have to know. And
- 18:38Speaker 5: I wonder if the townships and counties and even the
- 18:40Speaker 5: states that are doing this are thinking about those things,
- 18:43Speaker 5: because this is like the gold rush. You've got to
- 18:45Speaker 5: put a data center in it where you've got a cornfield,
- 18:48Speaker 5: some in the brownfields, but most of them are going
- 18:49Speaker 5: into farms. And then you've got to destroy more farmland
- 18:52Speaker 5: for the power supplies. And so where is this long-term play?
- 18:58Speaker 5: How is it structured? These are questions that no one's answering.
- 19:01Speaker 5: And when you ask the questions, there's a one-word response.
- 19:04Speaker 6: China.
- 19:05Speaker 4: We'll see. No, the answer is we'll see. We'll find
- 19:08Speaker 4: out when it happens.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Right, right.
- 19:10Speaker 5: And then they say, no one knows. Do you want
- 19:12Speaker 5: to live in a world dominated by China? Wait a minute,
- 19:14Speaker 5: hold on. Let's put China to the side for a minute.
- 19:16Speaker 5: What is your demand profile for your data center in
- 19:20Speaker 5: 48 months? Is it really going to still be used?
- 19:23Speaker 5: Are you going to be constantly upgrading it so that
- 19:25Speaker 5: it never becomes obsolete? What is this plan? I think
- 19:29Speaker 5: we have to get these answers before these things are
- 19:31Speaker 5: built and become, again, the white elephants that the taxpayers
- 19:34Speaker 5: then have to take over and dismantle as Superfund sites effectively.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Or even as technology changes, right?
- 19:40Speaker 5: That's what I mean. The technology will absolutely become obsolete.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Whether they're in space or not.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Yeah, if they're up in space, they're not killing farmland.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Put them up in space.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm okay with that. But if they're still down here,
- 19:49Speaker 1: the technology can change and make them obsolete or small.
- 19:51Speaker 5: Absolutely. So if the technology changes, they are obsolete. Maybe
- 19:54Speaker 5: the water usage is dramatically lower. The electricity usage is lower.
- 19:58Speaker 5: So the cost structure is lower. Well, they're going to
- 20:00Speaker 5: build a new one, and the old one's going to
- 20:01Speaker 5: be sitting somewhere in some township, and everyone's going to
- 20:03Speaker 5: sit around and say, what do we do with it? Well,
- 20:05Speaker 5: are these single-purpose facilities? Can they be repurposed or used
- 20:09Speaker 5: as As warehouses for other industry or manufacturing?
- 20:12Speaker 1: Because they're built specifically for those data centers with the
- 20:15Speaker 1: cooling systems.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Cooling systems, power systems, and inside structure, lighting systems.
- 20:19Speaker 3: All right.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Thank you, my friends. Back with more after this.
- 20:22Speaker 6: Saturday, 8 to noon.
- 20:23Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKVN. 435 in the afternoon. News Radio
- 20:28Speaker 1: 570 WKVN. Hello there. Ron Verb from the kingdom of Mahoning.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I am 76 degrees on this Wednesday afternoon here on
- 20:36Speaker 1: Tiffany Boulevard in Boardman. G2 joins me in a studio.
- 20:39Speaker 1: He snuck out of his bunker, deep, deep underground and
- 20:45Speaker 1: on this closed location. You feel safe?
- 20:48Speaker 5: I feel pretty safe here because of the bulletproof glass
- 20:51Speaker 5: and concrete barriers.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And all the locked doors. Yeah. Well, you should feel safe.
- 20:56Speaker 1: All right. And onward we go here. We're talking about
- 21:00Speaker 1: the big memorandum of understanding. And we just know some
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the details today because I didn't mind it. I
- 21:08Speaker 1: didn't get a chance to watch Trump. I just found
- 21:12Speaker 1: it interesting, though, to look at Trump. It's a little
- 21:16Speaker 1: bit hoarse, and Lutnick's standing there almost like he's.
- 21:21Speaker 5: In a hostage video.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Yes, that's what I'm thinking. And Rubio's standing there like,
- 21:26Speaker 1: can I go now?
- 21:27Speaker 5: Yeah, Rubio's thinking, I don't know, my financial backers are–
- 21:31Speaker 5: Looking at me less likely for 28 now.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And then you got Trump saying, okay, when it comes
- 21:35Speaker 1: to signature time, I'm not going to do it. I'm
- 21:38Speaker 1: sending J.D.
- 21:38Speaker 6: Vance.
- 21:39Speaker 1: That gives me an outright.
- 21:40Speaker 5: I think it's smart. I mean, I think it's the
- 21:42Speaker 5: right guy to send.
- 21:43Speaker 4: J.D.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Vance is the right guy to send. And look, the
- 21:46Speaker 5: whole administration is riding on this thing.
- 21:48Speaker 1: So, If J.D. Vance– Why do you think he did
- 21:51Speaker 1: it now? Is he concerned? Do you think he did
- 21:54Speaker 1: this because he's concerned about the midterms? He's concerned about inflation?
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's concerned about the polling and stuff? I mean, why now?
- 22:02Speaker 5: I think that Trump has– I think– you remember back
- 22:05Speaker 5: when he said, I have better polling in Israel than
- 22:07Speaker 5: I have in the United States?
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 22:08Speaker 5: I think he thought that was somehow funny or cute
- 22:11Speaker 5: or was endearing or we'd be impressed. I think he
- 22:13Speaker 5: found out from the reaction to that. that people's response was, well,
- 22:17Speaker 5: that's because you're serving Israel's interests more than ours. And
- 22:19Speaker 5: that's the feeling that a lot of people have. Now,
- 22:21Speaker 5: I know really smart people who tell me that's not true. That,
- 22:24Speaker 5: you know, Trump is the man. He's in total control.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Everything's playing out as he says it will.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Fair enough.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Okay, fine.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I mean, we all have our perspectives. But he clearly
- 22:34Speaker 5: is shifting and pivoting back to the American agenda. Well,
- 22:38Speaker 5: that's where Vance was at the beginning of this war
- 22:40Speaker 5: back in February. So, you know, You send Vance, the
- 22:43Speaker 5: guy who's there, because he wants this war over, and
- 22:45Speaker 5: he's going to negotiate on the Americans' behalf. But I
- 22:48Speaker 5: definitely think that there's a bit of a pivot happening
- 22:50Speaker 5: right now, and Trump is sort of reorienting back to
- 22:55Speaker 5: the issues that are important. Remember when he attacked all
- 22:57Speaker 5: those social media guys, the Tuckers and all.
- 23:00Speaker 1: That, right? Yeah.
- 23:01Speaker 5: Their numbers went up and his went down. I think
- 23:04Speaker 5: he knows that now.
- 23:06Speaker 1: And I know— Because he pays attention to it.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Well, I know for a fact that he was given
- 23:09Speaker 5: a lot of fake polling. I know that. I'm not guessing.
- 23:12Speaker 5: So I know he got a bunch of bad numbers,
- 23:14Speaker 5: but at this point he can't ignore it anymore. He
- 23:16Speaker 5: thought he was going to put them out of business
- 23:17Speaker 5: by calling them stupid or whatever he called them. It
- 23:20Speaker 5: didn't happen. Their numbers got better. More people started listening.
- 23:23Speaker 5: His numbers got worse and reached really a desperately low number.
- 23:26Speaker 5: So I think he's kind of realized he's got to
- 23:28Speaker 5: pivot back to the American agenda.
- 23:31Speaker 1: And inflation and oil prices, which is all part of that, right?
- 23:34Speaker 5: And now oil today is down to, you know, under
- 23:36Speaker 5: $ 80 a barrel. I, Last time I looked, I think
- 23:40Speaker 5: Brent was at 78.
- 23:41Speaker 6: I know.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I filled up on the way into the station today.
- 23:43Speaker 1: It was 50 cents a gallon.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Wow.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That would be..
- 23:46Speaker 5: Imagine the economic revival. That would kick off, right? So, yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 5: like right now, West Texas is 75, 70. So, you know,
- 23:54Speaker 5: like the numbers are getting better. Obviously, the oil markets
- 23:56Speaker 5: think this MOU is a good idea or has a
- 23:59Speaker 5: chance of ending the..
- 24:00Speaker 1: But he keeps saying that if they don't adhere to
- 24:02Speaker 1: it in 60 days, we'll go back to bombing.
- 24:03Speaker 5: And they know that's true because he's going to have
- 24:05Speaker 5: no choice.
- 24:06Speaker 6: If they..
- 24:07Speaker 5: Break this deal, if they screw this up, he's going
- 24:09Speaker 5: to have to go really, I mean, it's not going
- 24:12Speaker 5: to be the same kind of bombing. He's going to
- 24:14Speaker 5: get more aggressive, and Israel's going to be unleashed, and
- 24:16Speaker 5: then it's going to be civilian casualties.
- 24:19Speaker 1: With G2, you're on the air. Hello.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Whoa, fellas, interesting show.
- 24:27Speaker 1: How you guys doing? First-time caller, I assume?
- 24:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm called Matthew Buehler.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead. Oh, yes, probably Rock Creek, Ohio, yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 1: What are the odds of you being in Rock Creek?
- 24:43Speaker 3: Slim and none.
- 24:46Speaker 6: G2, you really came out firing, but I appreciate you.
- 24:51Speaker 6: keeping the name calling down to a minimum. You know,
- 24:54Speaker 6: only a few don't like the country and traitors and crazy.
- 24:57Speaker 6: I appreciate that.
- 24:59Speaker 1: What about me? I thought I came out firing, too.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Wasn't I on fire?
- 25:06Speaker 6: Well, I'm not paying you no attention.
- 25:09Speaker 1: So he came out firing, and for me it was
- 25:11Speaker 1: like a dribble.
- 25:13Speaker 6: Well, I was done with you when you talked about
- 25:16Speaker 6: you and your better half.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Having a memorandum of understanding. Yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 6: Okay, well, that's just like I heard G2 say that...
- 25:26Speaker 6: Companies negotiate and this and that. That's what he's doing. Well, listen, man.
- 25:31Speaker 6: Companies don't throw bombs and kill each other. You don't
- 25:34Speaker 6: have an agreement with your better half.
- 25:36Speaker 3: She has a bomb and she will kill you.
- 25:38Speaker 6: I don't want to hear it. But I have to
- 25:43Speaker 6: get serious.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I feel as though just after your comments, sir, that
- 25:47Speaker 1: my entire manhood was removed from me by your call.
- 25:51Speaker 1: I mean, it's totally... I'm transgendering with your call.
- 25:55Speaker 6: I don't know about G2, but I had two girls.
- 25:58Speaker 6: I lost mine, too, so get in line, man. What
- 26:05Speaker 6: I'm saying is..
- 26:07Speaker 1: Strip me of my man card right there.
- 26:10Speaker 6: I feel like you guys are trying to gaslight people.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Two things.
- 26:16Speaker 6: The first thing is it's so typical Trump, but you
- 26:20Speaker 6: guys are so far into Trump, you won't see it. Now,
- 26:25Speaker 6: the president signed something virtually, okay? Then he says, well,
- 26:34Speaker 6: can't nobody see it till Friday. We're going to have
- 26:37Speaker 6: to have a ceremony. Whatever you want to call it
- 26:40Speaker 6: this Friday, whether it's an agreement or whatever, right?
- 26:43Speaker 1: On Juneteenth, incidentally, on Juneteenth.
- 26:47Speaker 6: Yeah, what does he do? What does he do? He
- 26:51Speaker 6: takes and leaks out stuff. and then people that support
- 26:56Speaker 6: him start going on Fox, you know, the Hannity's, start
- 27:00Speaker 6: going on talk radio, you know, like the Verbs, and
- 27:03Speaker 6: they defend him even before he shows up to sign it.
- 27:09Speaker 6: That is so typical Trump, but I'm used to that.
- 27:12Speaker 6: But what the thing that really kind of gets me,
- 27:16Speaker 6: and I, you know, I know you guys are some
- 27:18Speaker 6: good people, you know, and I'm, Like I said, G2,
- 27:21Speaker 6: you know a Democrat you can talk to, and I'm
- 27:23Speaker 6: going to listen to you after I say what I say. Now,
- 27:28Speaker 6: I hear people bragging, well, you know, whatever it is,
- 27:31Speaker 6: $ 360 million or whatever, you know, it's not going to cost.
- 27:37Speaker 3: The American taxpayers a penny, right?
- 27:40Speaker 6: And I have to say, are you crazy? Didn't you
- 27:46Speaker 6: see $ 5 a gallon gas? Of course, when somebody called
- 27:50Speaker 6: you and said it wasn't $ 5. Have you been to
- 27:53Speaker 6: the store and bought a hamburger?
- 27:55Speaker 3: It costs as.
- 27:56Speaker 6: Much as minimum wage. Have you been buying steaks? When
- 28:01Speaker 6: he started this war, he destroyed our economy. Please do
- 28:06Speaker 6: not say it did not cost the taxpayer.
- 28:10Speaker 3: He spent $ 2.
- 28:11Speaker 6: Billion a day.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Who's going to replace that? Us. I'm sorry, go ahead.
- 28:16Speaker 5: You make an important point, although the inflation discussion, I
- 28:20Speaker 5: understand where you're at and it's where the zeitgeist is,
- 28:23Speaker 5: but inflation right now is below 2% if you look
- 28:25Speaker 5: at the real data. So that's a more complicated conversation.
- 28:30Speaker 5: But you make a really important point. You know, in
- 28:33Speaker 5: 20 years of war, the United States taxpayer paid $ 0 because,
- 28:37Speaker 5: for whatever reasons, while the $ 40 trillion was being printed,
- 28:41Speaker 5: nobody saw much inflation until Biden got in there. And
- 28:45Speaker 5: so we went through all of those years of war,
- 28:48Speaker 5: and while we lost about 15,000 people in that war,
- 28:53Speaker 5: which of course is a terrible tragedy, but by comparison
- 28:56Speaker 5: to something like Gettysburg, World War I, World War II, Vietnam,
- 29:00Speaker 5: these were incredibly low losses. And our country now is
- 29:04Speaker 5: 300 million or 340 million, depending on the start or
- 29:07Speaker 5: finish of this war. So, you know, back in World
- 29:10Speaker 5: War I, everybody knew somebody. Back in the Civil War,
- 29:13Speaker 5: everybody knew somebody. In this war, people might have known
- 29:17Speaker 5: someone who was injured or lost a limb, but they survived.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Not many people knew somebody or lost a personal family member.
- 29:23Speaker 5: So we didn't really feel the cost of blood in
- 29:26Speaker 5: these wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In treasure, we didn't
- 29:31Speaker 5: feel it at all because it all went on the
- 29:33Speaker 5: credit card and we didn't feel the inflation. This war
- 29:35Speaker 5: in Iran, because of the impact on oil, is the
- 29:38Speaker 5: first war that the American people have had to pay
- 29:40Speaker 5: a price for immediately and every day during the war.
- 29:44Speaker 5: And look at the reaction. Suddenly when we're paying for it,
- 29:47Speaker 5: we don't like war anymore. there actually is a benefit
- 29:52Speaker 5: to us in that we've had to pay more. And
- 29:54Speaker 5: that benefit is that we actually feel the impact. We
- 29:56Speaker 5: don't feel it in human loss because we've lost a
- 29:59Speaker 5: few soldiers and sailors in certain ways. But it's been
- 30:03Speaker 5: an extraordinarily limited number given the scope of this fight.
- 30:07Speaker 5: But as soon as we feel it in our pockets,
- 30:11Speaker 5: suddenly we all want this war over. It's very unpopular
- 30:13Speaker 5: and it has to end. If the price of gas
- 30:16Speaker 5: hadn't gone up, if the price of diesel hadn't gone up,
- 30:18Speaker 5: if this oil price hadn't gone up, we'd be sitting
- 30:21Speaker 5: back with most Americans saying, oh, look, another video game.
- 30:24Speaker 5: They're having a war somewhere overseas.
- 30:26Speaker 6: What's wrong with that? Why do I have to get
- 30:28Speaker 6: hit in the head with a two-by-four? Now go ahead.
- 30:30Speaker 5: Yeah, well, because if we don't get hit in the
- 30:31Speaker 5: head with a two-by-four, we don't react. Isn't that kind
- 30:34Speaker 5: of stupid?
- 30:35Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 30:38Speaker 5: It's exactly right. We allowed these wars to go for
- 30:40Speaker 5: 20 years and never took a hard look at why.
- 30:42Speaker 5: Then we find out, oh, the weapons of mass destruction
- 30:44Speaker 5: was a lie. We find out Iraq won. The whole
- 30:47Speaker 5: basis of that Kuwaiti thing was a lie. We find
- 30:50Speaker 5: out that that in Afghanistan we send in, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 5: the U.S. forces to go find bin Laden. He's sitting
- 30:54Speaker 5: in Iran, you know, and then eventually in Pakistan, all
- 30:58Speaker 5: a lie. And so we never really had to take
- 31:00Speaker 5: a hard look at it because we didn't feel the cost.
- 31:02Speaker 5: We had some cool movies. We had, you know, lots
- 31:05Speaker 5: of towers to tunnels and things that we could do
- 31:07Speaker 5: to try to help those that came back injured. But
- 31:09Speaker 5: we didn't really feel it. This war we felt day one.
- 31:13Speaker 1: And..
- 31:14Speaker 5: It wasn't very popular.
- 31:15Speaker 6: I appreciate what you said, right? We've got to disagree
- 31:18Speaker 6: on this one, man, because I'm telling you, I ain't
- 31:20Speaker 6: liking it. You have a nice day.
- 31:21Speaker 5: Well, I'm not liking it, but I can see the
- 31:24Speaker 5: difference in public opinion when the public has to actually
- 31:27Speaker 5: pay the cost in whatever way for the wars we wage.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 31:32Speaker 1: All right, thank you. You're on the air.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Hey, I don't understand you guys. I wish you would
- 31:38Speaker 3: just read The Art of the Deal and Liberalism is
- 31:42Speaker 3: a Mental Disorder, so these people that call you get it.
- 31:45Speaker 3: They're a mental disorder.
- 31:46Speaker 4: All right.
- 31:47Speaker 3: What I'm saying is, if you read what I read,
- 31:50Speaker 3: the way Trump works, he shoots for the stars, he
- 31:53Speaker 3: bags the eagle, and he doesn't eat crow. So, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 3: when he went after all this, he wanted everything. Just
- 31:59Speaker 3: like when he does his bill, he wants everything. Well,
- 32:02Speaker 3: you know, Save America Act and everything else. And if
- 32:07Speaker 3: you understand Trump, you wouldn't be complaining. I mean, I
- 32:10Speaker 3: know you need a subject on your radio, and, you know,
- 32:15Speaker 3: you need these people calling in with stupid questions and
- 32:18Speaker 3: stupid responses.
- 32:19Speaker 6: But, you know.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Listen, we saved that for you.
- 32:24Speaker 3: He's brilliant, Ron. And, you know, I just feel bad
- 32:28Speaker 3: for you and other people that don't get it.
- 32:30Speaker 6: He just reads.
- 32:31Speaker 5: But be specific then. So what is it you think
- 32:33Speaker 5: we're missing? What point did we make that you think
- 32:35Speaker 5: was just, Just smoke.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Okay, all right. Let me be specific. Everybody thinks Trump
- 32:40Speaker 3: doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Well, he does.
- 32:44Speaker 3: He knows every step of the way because, like, when
- 32:47Speaker 3: he works out a deal, he shoots with the eagle.
- 32:49Speaker 3: He wants everything. He bags a pheasant and he doesn't
- 32:52Speaker 3: eat crow. And that's what he's doing with this deal,
- 32:54Speaker 3: with all the deals he's been doing.
- 32:57Speaker 5: So you're saying you think going into this war was
- 32:59Speaker 5: a good idea? Oh, yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:02Speaker 5: All right, now here's my question for you. What is
- 33:05Speaker 5: your perspective on the situation in Lebanon? I mean, are
- 33:07Speaker 5: you okay with this? I mean, entire villages being wiped out?
- 33:10Speaker 3: No, no, no. Trump chewed them out three times, GT.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Did you hear that?
- 33:14Speaker 5: Well, here's the question, then. Should we deploy forces to
- 33:17Speaker 5: Lebanon to defend the Christian villages that remain?
- 33:21Speaker 3: No, no.
- 33:22Speaker 1: No?
- 33:23Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 33:24Speaker 3: No boots on the ground. Let me tell you what
- 33:26Speaker 3: we can do, okay? Syria hates Hezbollah, okay? We can
- 33:32Speaker 3: make a deal with Syria to come in and clean
- 33:34Speaker 3: them out.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Well, but the Hezbollah thing, when you blow up a
- 33:38Speaker 5: building and say there might have been a Hezbollah person
- 33:40Speaker 5: in there, but you killed 700 people or 400 or 200.
- 33:42Speaker 6: No, no, no, no, no.
- 33:44Speaker 3: I don't agree with Israel dead, 100% what you're saying.
- 33:47Speaker 5: So how do we stop this deal? If they violate
- 33:51Speaker 5: this deal, what do we do? Do we just let
- 33:53Speaker 5: them take Lebanon?
- 33:54Speaker 1: No.
- 33:57Speaker 5: How many more Christian villages have to be wiped out
- 34:00Speaker 5: in the name of Hezbollah?
- 34:02Speaker 3: Zero, sir.
- 34:03Speaker 5: So I agree with you on that. I think you're
- 34:04Speaker 5: dead right. This Lebanon thing was the sideshow we weren't
- 34:08Speaker 5: supposed to pay attention to, and it's got to be stopped.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I have a lot of people that go to my
- 34:13Speaker 3: church here, St. Mary's, you know, where Ron doesn't want
- 34:16Speaker 3: to eat the food at the Maronite Festival coming up.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I can't stand that Lebanese food.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Oh, it's great food. Ron, shut up.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Don't talk like that.
- 34:25Speaker 5: I've got to admit, Ron, I've eaten a grape leaf
- 34:26Speaker 5: now and again, and I like it.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Really? Something's wrong with you. Ron, let me tell you something.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 3: I understand your taste of food is mashed potatoes and milk, okay?
- 34:39Speaker 1: But... Yeah, and I need gravy, though, mashed potatoes and gravy.
- 34:45Speaker 6: No, no, milk.
- 34:46Speaker 1: No, not milk.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Because you're Hungarian.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you something. If you would give
- 34:50Speaker 1: up your Lebanese food, if you came over my house
- 34:54Speaker 1: and my wife made a roast beef dinner with roast beef, gravy,
- 34:59Speaker 1: mashed potatoes, and corn, you would say after you tasted
- 35:03Speaker 1: that and tasted the gravy, the mashed potatoes, the corn,
- 35:07Speaker 1: and the roast beef, You would give up this kibbeh
- 35:10Speaker 1: and all that other garbage you're eating. You would give
- 35:13Speaker 1: it up. Yeah, you would give it all up, Baba Ganoush.
- 35:17Speaker 1: The Lebanese food would go away just on that one
- 35:19Speaker 1: meal alone. One meal alone. If you would come over,
- 35:23Speaker 1: which would be a nightmare to me, for Thanksgiving and
- 35:26Speaker 1: enjoy this turkey that she makes that is so good
- 35:29Speaker 1: with mashed potatoes, corn, gravy, and her mother's stuffing recipe,
- 35:34Speaker 1: you would give up all your Lebanese food. Do you
- 35:36Speaker 1: hear what I'm saying?
- 35:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's nice. She does that after you call
- 35:40Speaker 3: a ball and chain for the last 30.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you when you're telling me that I'm just
- 35:44Speaker 1: because I won't eat that food that you tried to
- 35:46Speaker 1: force on me. And I said, I can't.
- 35:49Speaker 3: By the way, I didn't force it on you.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yes, you were. You were very intimidating to me. You
- 35:54Speaker 1: were extremely intimidating.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I felt as if I'm not intimidated.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Yes, you were very intimidating. You were smoking a cigarette,
- 36:01Speaker 1: flexing your arm.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Flexing arms, okay. And I had a pack of cigarettes
- 36:06Speaker 3: in my shirt.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Yeah, rolled up in your shirt sleeve shirt. You looked
- 36:10Speaker 1: like Fonzie to me.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Fonzie, yeah. Okay, intimidate. Listen.
- 36:14Speaker 6: Yes.
- 36:15Speaker 3: That food is the healthiest food to eat. It's MAGA food.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Make America healthy again.
- 36:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I'm saying you'd give it all up
- 36:25Speaker 1: for that roast beef dinner.
- 36:26Speaker 5: I'm telling you right now.
- 36:28Speaker 3: No, I wouldn't run.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'll even throw in her meatloaf. I'll throw that into you.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I like lamb.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Okay. Stand by please. Stand by please. Uh, that, that
- 36:39Speaker 1: maybe instead of Bubba Ganush, I should have named him
- 36:40Speaker 1: shish kebab. That sounds even better. 570 WKBN. All right.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Ron Furb with G2 and Bubba Ganush on the line. Uh,
- 36:52Speaker 1: Do you have any other thoughts to add to the program?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Well, no, not to end the program. You won't let
- 36:57Speaker 3: me talk. You keep on doing your dialogue for three hours.
- 37:01Speaker 1: What is it that you want to contribute?
- 37:03Speaker 3: First of all, G2, the reason I want him to
- 37:07Speaker 3: go in and do that to these guys is because
- 37:11Speaker 3: they've been persecuting Christians and Lebanese and Americans, killing Americans
- 37:19Speaker 3: as well. And they have proxies in the United States.
- 37:22Speaker 3: And Iran doesn't get this, that they're a threat to
- 37:26Speaker 3: the United States because they've got proxies here.
- 37:28Speaker 1: You're talking Iran, right? You're talking Iran?
- 37:31Speaker 3: What?
- 37:31Speaker 1: Are you talking about Iran?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:34Speaker 3: So I'm glad he went in there and pounced on them.
- 37:37Speaker 3: I mean, I want him to pounce a little bit more,
- 37:40Speaker 3: but I guess he cares about the 90 million people.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Okay, is that it?
- 37:46Speaker 3: No, that's not it. I like Lebanese food because it's
- 37:50Speaker 3: healthy for you, and it's good tasting, and it's inexpensive
- 38:01Speaker 3: if you know how to make it.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I would rather eat Chinese food every day.
- 38:07Speaker 6: Really?
- 38:07Speaker 1: I'd rather have General Tso's chicken than anything Lebanese.
- 38:12Speaker 3: You mean with that cat meat?
- 38:14Speaker 1: No, that's a terrible thing to say. I would have
- 38:16Speaker 1: orange chicken first. You understand?
- 38:18Speaker 5: All right. The thing about that Chinese, it comes with
- 38:22Speaker 5: mao tai. You can drink that mao tai, and that
- 38:24Speaker 5: stuff will put you in the hospital.
- 38:26Speaker 1: I'd rather have chicken fried rice than kibbe. Really?
- 38:31Speaker 6: Yes.
- 38:33Speaker 3: That's not my trunk.
- 38:34Speaker 1: I'd rather have a chili dog.
- 38:38Speaker 3: How about milk and mashed potatoes?
- 38:40Speaker 1: Love it. Thank you for your call.
- 38:43Speaker 3: That's what I thought.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I think he's really upset. If I slip him one
- 38:53Speaker 1: homemade for my wife roast beef dinner, his whole life
- 38:57Speaker 1: would change.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Well, you know, it might.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I have to leave the house when she's cooking it
- 39:02Speaker 1: because I'm like a dog. You know what I mean?
- 39:05Speaker 1: It's like my tongue is out. It's like, oh, when's
- 39:07Speaker 1: this going to be done? You know, I have to
- 39:09Speaker 1: go out. I have to go somewhere.
- 39:10Speaker 5: That's like hanging around when they're cooking Thanksgiving.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 39:12Speaker 5: I'll be like, wait, I can't.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Eat it yet.
- 39:14Speaker 1: How long do I got to wait? How much longer
- 39:16Speaker 1: is this? I just saw pumpkin pie. It's going down.
- 39:18Speaker 3: All right.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I got to wait for who to come.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 39:22Speaker 1: No. You know what I mean? At least I went
- 39:26Speaker 1: to his Lebanese Fest. You know, I mean.
- 39:28Speaker 5: Which was, yeah.
- 39:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:30Speaker 1: At least I was there. And you know who else
- 39:31Speaker 1: showed up? Emmanuel.
- 39:34Speaker 5: Oh, did he?
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:35Speaker 7: Yes.
- 39:36Speaker 5: That had to be fun.
- 39:37Speaker 1: It was. All right. News Radio 570. Callers on the line,
- 39:39Speaker 1: stand by.
- 39:39Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 39:39Speaker 6: 330-729-9977.
- 39:39Speaker 1: We're on from the Kingdom of Mahoning until 7 o'clock
- 39:41Speaker 1: tonight with our special guest, G2, with us as well
- 39:42Speaker 1: on this day. We'll come back.
- 40:02Speaker 8: From ABC News, I'm Lindsay Davis, anchor of Prime, streaming
- 40:06Speaker 8: weeknights on ABC News Live. New details surrounding the memo
- 40:10Speaker 8: of understanding between the U.S. and Iran set to be
- 40:12Speaker 8: signed Friday. The 14-point memo calls for an immediate ceasefire
- 40:16Speaker 8: on all fronts, including Lebanon. It also reopens the Strait
- 40:19Speaker 8: of Hormuz and begins talks on Iran's nuclear program. ABC's
- 40:23Speaker 8: Jonathan Karl says Iran would get key sanctions lifted.
- 40:25Speaker 7: The single most important sanctions... were the sanctions that denied
- 40:30Speaker 7: Iran the ability to sell its oil on the international market. Now,
- 40:35Speaker 7: they did sell their oil anyway through shadow fleet on
- 40:39Speaker 7: the black market, but this cost Iran dearly. Now, immediately
- 40:43Speaker 7: upon signing this, they have access to international oil markets,
- 40:47Speaker 7: something they have not had for many years under many
- 40:51Speaker 7: different U.S.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Presidents.
- 40:52Speaker 8: President Trump warned if Iran does not behave, military strikes
- 40:55Speaker 8: could resume. The economic impact from the war is affecting
- 40:58Speaker 8: interest rates. The Federal Reserve Board voted to keep interest
- 41:01Speaker 8: rates unchanged, but signaled rate hikes could come later this year.
- 41:04Speaker 8: ABC's Elizabeth Schulze has more.
- 41:06Speaker 9: What we're looking at now is a drastically different outlook
- 41:10Speaker 9: for the Fed in that at the start of this
- 41:12Speaker 9: year and even at the last meeting, we were expecting
- 41:14Speaker 9: interest rate cuts. Well, now the possibility looks more likely
- 41:18Speaker 9: from many Fed officials. that it could be going higher.
- 41:20Speaker 8: In New York, a judge sentenced Gilgo Beach serial killer
- 41:23Speaker 8: Rex Hureman to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
- 41:27Speaker 8: The 62-year-old husband and father in a deal with prosecutors
- 41:30Speaker 8: pleaded guilty to the murders of eight women starting in
- 41:33Speaker 8: the 1990s, the majority of them sex workers. Their bodies
- 41:36Speaker 8: were not discovered until decades later. Along the Gulf Coast,
- 41:39Speaker 8: residents are bracing for Tropical Storm Arthur, the first named
- 41:43Speaker 8: storm of the hurricane season. Alerts stretch from Texas to
- 41:46Speaker 8: Georgia with life-threatening flash flooding possible. In Louisiana, storm preps
- 41:52Speaker 8: are underway in Covington with homeowners and businesses filling sandbags
- 41:56Speaker 8: to protect from the flooding.
- 41:57Speaker 1: You're listening to ABC News.
