A deadly UPS cargo plane crash in November, which killed 15 and injured 23, was worsened by missed inspections that Boeing had recommended years earlier — inspections UPS never mandated, claiming Boeing wrongly said the failing bearings posed no flight safety risk. Aviation expert Jeff Guzzetti says Boeing, UPS, the FAA, and maintenance firm STE San Antonio Aerospace all share responsibility for the oversight.
