- 0:27Speaker 3: like Law and Order CSI, and of course any show
- 0:31Speaker 3: that has Chicago in the first word. These actors are lawyers,
- 0:36Speaker 3: they're doctors, they are all sorts of important roles.

- 1:12Speaker 3: speak off top of our heads.
- 1:14Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Sometimes you know, my show is very word perfect. The
- 1:18Speaker 3: script has to be very specific so it's nice to
- 1:21Speaker 3: be able to speak without them.
- 1:23Speaker 6: You go ahead and introduce yourself, buddy, that'd be great.
- 1:27Speaker 3: All right. My name is My name is uh Writer Silver,
- 1:35Speaker 3: and I am an actor. You guys might know me
- 1:39Speaker 3: as the young hotshot lawyer on the brand new show
- 1:45Speaker 3: DC Rules and uh, I'm part of a d C
- 1:49Speaker 3: law firm where we get caught up in a lot
- 1:52Speaker 3: of political scandals and things run a little hot in
- 1:56Speaker 3: the office.
- 1:57Speaker 4: And I can tell you on season one wrecked because
- 2:01Speaker 4: you've got that glow about.
- 2:02Speaker 3: You and you have a.
- 2:05Speaker 4: Clocking in clock and you know, I.

- 2:11Speaker 2: I saw you in too Brazil.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Is that yes?
- 2:13Speaker 2: Is that you had energy?
- 2:15Speaker 3: Let me answer the four questions that give away that
- 2:17Speaker 3: I'm on season one?
- 2:19Speaker 4: Yes?
- 2:19Speaker 3: One, Yes, I'm happy I went to Brazil.
- 2:25Speaker 2: You have taught you have energy on your Yeah.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Three, my wife is pregnant.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 3: And for I UH am thinking a lot about other
- 2:37Speaker 3: ways that I can spread my voice.
- 2:40Speaker 6: You think you're going to do another gig besides.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I mean Raando, So yeah, I mean I I have
- 2:44Speaker 3: I have a movie that I've been working on. Uh,
- 2:46Speaker 3: But I mean I'm talking about that. I was just
- 2:48Speaker 3: thinking creatively, creatively, Yeah, just creatively, just in different capacities.
- 2:52Speaker 3: And and I actually have some ideas that I think
- 2:54Speaker 3: I've been pitching the show runner, and I think they're
- 2:56Speaker 3: gonna they're gonna work out.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Pretty That sounds like a good point.
- 3:00Speaker 4: It seems like you have some power there.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But I'm really Stokes. I'm really Stokes. My character's name
- 3:04Speaker 3: is Poor Crind and he's so fun. And I'm sorry
- 3:06Speaker 3: what My character's name is poor Crind And you're.
- 3:08Speaker 6: A doctor, young hot, I'm a lawyer.
- 3:11Speaker 4: You're a lawyer, right right?
- 3:12Speaker 3: Well, the kid, the nickname is poor Crind, but his
- 3:16Speaker 3: real name is Davis So but everyone calls him pork
- 3:19Speaker 3: Crime because he's kind of like.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Uh, does the judge call him poor Crind?
- 3:23Speaker 3: No, not yet, but that's kind of one of the
- 3:25Speaker 3: pitches I have for the next season. Uh, what do
- 3:28Speaker 3: you guys? What about you guys? I mean, I feel
- 3:30Speaker 3: like I am in my literal television with you guys
- 3:33Speaker 3: right now.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Well, well now I mean with you missus.
- 3:39Speaker 4: With well with me, of course. I am Claire Peters
- 3:44Speaker 4: and I play play Claire Borne, Saint Claire Thomas, Claire
- 3:50Speaker 4: Borne Thomas on the CBS show Doctor Hospital. The year
- 3:56Speaker 4: is eighteen forty nine, and I a procedural that takes
- 4:02Speaker 4: place in, of course, the nineteenth century, with authentic nineteenth
- 4:06Speaker 4: century medicine. We've been on screen for about fifteen seasons now,
- 4:12Speaker 4: and it's hard to tell where I be, where I end,
- 4:16Speaker 4: and the character begins.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's great that they use the name Claire
- 4:20Speaker 1: just in your name too, Claire and claireborn.
- 4:22Speaker 4: That's they wanted to make it easier for me the transition.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Also, that's doctor Hospital. We're in the ninth what was
- 4:29Speaker 6: it called?
- 4:29Speaker 4: And doctor Hospital we're in eighteen forty nine.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Right, So that's a spin off of just regular doctor hospital, right.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Yes, And Doctor Hospital takes place in the current day,
- 4:40Speaker 4: which back when it was created it was two thousand
- 4:44Speaker 4: and four. Now they've been going strong. It's the twenty
- 4:47Speaker 4: twenty three, of course, not for me, but for everybody else.
- 4:51Speaker 4: It is, of course the twenty twenty three.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But you've been on network television for I don't know
- 4:57Speaker 2: how long.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Oh gosh, I don't know either. It's it's been. It's
- 5:02Speaker 4: been difficult to recount how many shows I've been jumping
- 5:05Speaker 4: from procedural to procedural, from CSI to a FBI to
- 5:11Speaker 4: a CSI Miami to cops.
- 5:15Speaker 6: I've been jumping from show show cuffs.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's a WHI I played one of the
- 5:22Speaker 4: people who got arrested by the cops in real life.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I think I saw a YouTube compilation of Oh, it
- 5:28Speaker 2: was a show.
- 5:29Speaker 4: We worked that out. We worked it out. It doesn't
- 5:31Speaker 4: count on the record if it's for a show.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I think I saw a YouTube compilation of you, Claire.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Every time you had played the coroner in an FBI
- 5:40Speaker 2: or Law and Order episode.
- 5:41Speaker 4: They loved me as the coroner because they said I
- 5:44Speaker 4: had the energy that I would be around dead bodies
- 5:48Speaker 4: quite frequently.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But it was you and you were much younger.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Oh yes, I was a smoke show then.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Oh my god, what an inspiration.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Not anymore, of course, these old bones are still beautiful.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Oh stops, come on there, you're really stopping. You'll better
- 6:03Speaker 4: stop it now.
- 6:04Speaker 1: So.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I used to watch you on FBI with my mom
- 6:09Speaker 3: when I was homesick from school. Oh did you yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 3: so she It was.
- 6:13Speaker 4: So Oh gosh, it's such a it's just ancient history. No.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I used to watch it four years ago when I
- 6:19Speaker 3: was sixteen. I'm twenty.
- 6:20Speaker 4: So it was it was you're twenty years old.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm twenty.
- 6:24Speaker 4: Oh how the time?
- 6:25Speaker 2: What a shild you are?
- 6:27Speaker 4: Oh?
- 6:28Speaker 6: You gotta you gotta like it.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Stop it. Look I feel like I'm I feel kind
- 6:33Speaker 3: of old for my age. They call me an old soul.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Oh stop it, stop it.
- 6:37Speaker 3: No, it's true. Went to a psychic. I went to
- 6:39Speaker 3: a psychic. He said, I went to a psychic. I
- 6:41Speaker 3: went to a psychic. He said, I went to a psychic.
- 6:43Speaker 3: He said, oh you again, you're talking to my old soul.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Wow.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Oh he was talking to your soul.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Sure wasn't just like a turn of phrase like Hi,
- 6:51Speaker 2: I had been there before. Okay, oh it seems like
- 6:54Speaker 2: a pretty You.
- 6:55Speaker 6: Really gotta cut that shit out.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Okay, well you used to stay this now you got.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Right, Yeah, you got a lot of a lot more years.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Hey, guys, I'm Clive sand I'm on the show Fire City.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Mister Sands from Fire City.
- 7:14Speaker 6: You don't say my character's name is general.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Uh, I didn't know they had general.
- 7:23Speaker 2: No, he's a vet right, Well, yeah, I was.
- 7:25Speaker 1: A veteran turned firefighter. So they call me a general.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Stan and you know. I'm just I play a dad
- 7:33Speaker 1: who loves his kid and he loves fishing.
- 7:36Speaker 4: But you love to take your shirt off on that show.
- 7:39Speaker 6: I love, I don't love to they make me.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I imagine these old bones still, you know, can bump
- 7:46Speaker 1: a couple irons here and there, I imagine. But yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I played general stand you're a tired vet now turned
- 7:52Speaker 1: firefighter and love my kids love fishing. But man, in
- 7:56Speaker 1: fire City, there's always another fire I.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Mean, what American city does fire City take place in?
- 8:03Speaker 1: This is in fire City takes place in Detroit, Michigan. Yeah,
- 8:10Speaker 1: so it's fun fun. We shoot in Detroit nine months
- 8:14Speaker 1: out of the year. I'm kind of based out of there.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Now. It's great. I love it.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We've been on nine seasons now. Fire City is getting
- 8:22Speaker 1: a couple spinoffs. There's fire City, Oakland, fire City, San Diego,
- 8:27Speaker 1: fire City, San Dimas, fire City, Oakland, fire City, Water
- 8:32Speaker 1: fire City, Ice, fire City, sand There's a bunch of
- 8:36Speaker 1: different Fire City Desert.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Are you the star of each one?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:40Speaker 1: The spinoffs have me as the star of each one,
- 8:43Speaker 1: or one of my sons wows and fire City. I
- 8:47Speaker 1: have four teen sons and one daughter, Abigail.
- 8:52Speaker 6: She Rocks.
- 8:54Speaker 1: She's a great actress. She's basically like my own daughter. Now,
- 8:58Speaker 1: so we love Abigail. That's played by a lovely young
- 9:03Speaker 1: Peach Comet.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I love Peach. Actually, Peach and I go out all
- 9:09Speaker 2: the time.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Yeah, her name is Peach Comed.
- 9:12Speaker 4: It's so funny that she she played Peach Comed in
- 9:15Speaker 4: the Hello Kitty series, and then she decided I want
- 9:17Speaker 4: that name for myself, So.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Mary Beth, very Beth.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Or something I've named I've named.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It was such a good move for her career.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I remember that I was tracking a career. I thought,
- 9:31Speaker 4: what a good move. I should have done that when
- 9:33Speaker 4: I played Borfi.
- 9:36Speaker 2: You should have renamed yourself, Claire. You really should have
- 9:40Speaker 2: been Barfi.
- 9:41Speaker 6: So yeah, that's me. Uh what about you? Why don't
- 9:43Speaker 6: you introduce yourself?
- 9:45Speaker 2: Hey, guys, what's up? I am Molly Tang. I am
- 9:52Speaker 2: on Uh. I'm on Helicopter Ambulance. I've been on there
- 9:58Speaker 2: for about four years now. I play Cisine and Cecine.
- 10:06Speaker 6: Is like Cistine Chapel.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and she is a a helicopter pilot who is
- 10:15Speaker 2: riddled with anxiety and is one of the best helicopter
- 10:19Speaker 2: pilots in the world. And she can also do open
- 10:23Speaker 2: heart surgery, is what she's learning she can do.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I love the pilot when yeah, when they when she
- 10:29Speaker 1: uses the helicopter is the first time it's the ambulance
- 10:32Speaker 1: and performs open ur searchering goes, wait a second, I
- 10:35Speaker 1: know how to do this, but she's so nervous the
- 10:37Speaker 1: whole time.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Oh, thank you so much.
- 10:40Speaker 4: And so I love that storyline. I think I popped
- 10:42Speaker 4: this episode on the television when I was in town
- 10:47Speaker 4: on I was staying in a hotel. I was staying
- 10:49Speaker 4: in a.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Marriott, and I Marriott loves us.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Hey, Marriott loves you. Guys. They put you on the
- 10:54Speaker 4: center of the You know, when a hotel has the
- 10:55Speaker 4: TV station, that's just stuff that's going on in the
- 10:58Speaker 4: hotel's Yes, they put on a helicopter ambulance, you know,
- 11:02Speaker 4: even if it's.
- 11:02Speaker 2: A picture of the hotel room on that picture. In
- 11:06Speaker 2: that picture, we're on that TV in a way.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Like a Roku City type of thing when they have
- 11:11Speaker 4: little sponsorships. But I watched the episode where she realized
- 11:16Speaker 4: that she could do open heart surgery, and it was
- 11:19Speaker 4: that in a dream, she was talking to a woman
- 11:23Speaker 4: that she couldn't recognize who was a doctor of open
- 11:27Speaker 4: heart surgery. And that woman was later it was her mother,
- 11:30Speaker 4: her deceased mother. Right, yeah, God, I love. It's just
- 11:34Speaker 4: so great when procedurals have all the information laid out
- 11:38Speaker 4: and then seven seasons go by and they got a
- 11:40Speaker 4: dig for more.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I'm really excited to get to that point in my
- 11:44Speaker 3: career as well. I mean, I feel like your character
- 11:46Speaker 3: right now is just being uncovered.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's that's when you know they need more.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I can't believe you're how I wild.
- 11:54Speaker 3: You say you're twenty years old.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like you have so much to learn
- 11:59Speaker 2: because I am twenty four and I feel so old. Yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 2: I feel like.
- 12:07Speaker 4: No, you too, better come on, I just I just
- 12:12Speaker 4: feel like i've been You guys are young.
- 12:16Speaker 6: You guys are very young.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I feel old too. My knees the other day made
- 12:20Speaker 3: a noise that I'd never experienced.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Oh they didn't bullshit?
- 12:22Speaker 6: Yeah, come on, buddy, cut that shit out.
- 12:25Speaker 2: No, I had. I had a sip of wine and
- 12:27Speaker 2: I spinned around really fast, and and it like made
- 12:30Speaker 2: me dizzy.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Oh No, are you okay now?
- 12:31Speaker 2: No, I'm okay now. But I was like, I guess
- 12:33Speaker 2: I'm edging thirty.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, no, it's really scary anyway.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I just it's really special that all of our cycles could,
- 12:44Speaker 2: all of our shooting cycles could like stop at a
- 12:47Speaker 2: certain point for us to do these press like totally.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I mean, with the Emmy's coming up and all this stuff,
- 12:51Speaker 2: it is really special.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Notoriously, none of our shows are ever going to be
- 12:54Speaker 1: nominated for Emmys.
- 12:55Speaker 3: When it's the first season. I mean, I think I
- 12:56Speaker 3: think I have a chance, you know, I think I
- 12:58Speaker 3: think our show is okay, Okay, Well we have we
- 13:02Speaker 3: have some some really cool veteran actors who are bringing
- 13:05Speaker 3: a very interesting energy. Well, I have brought bout Bridges
- 13:09Speaker 3: Bridges in our show. Yeah, Boat Bridges is in our show,
- 13:12Speaker 3: and I'm we're really excited about that. And Rita Wilson
- 13:15Speaker 3: is in our show.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Wow, Wilson is my favorite actor.
- 13:20Speaker 3: She's awesome. Rita is and and and I'll tell you what.
- 13:26Speaker 3: She is so fun on set, and I would I
- 13:30Speaker 3: would go on on record as saying she's the most
- 13:33Speaker 3: prepared actor I've ever worked with, and probably that exists
- 13:36Speaker 3: in the industry. She knows every line, she knows every
- 13:38Speaker 3: stage direction, she knows everything, and you can just tell
- 13:40Speaker 3: she's working hard on the script because she wants to
- 13:42Speaker 3: do well.
- 13:43Speaker 6: That's great, that's incredible, that's amazing.
- 13:46Speaker 1: So here's a question, you know, I've been pondering, you know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: how do you kind of keep you know, the the
- 13:51Speaker 1: energy alive because it's.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Day in, day out. A lot of people don't know this,
- 13:54Speaker 6: but it's a nine to five.
- 13:55Speaker 3: It is basically nine to five show up.
- 13:57Speaker 1: But I show up for makeup around seven and get
- 14:00Speaker 1: out around five, you know, so it's a little longer
- 14:02Speaker 1: than a ninety five sometimes, but a lot of the
- 14:04Speaker 1: times in my trailer bronze in my chest.
- 14:07Speaker 4: So you know, Well, for me, it's primarily the wealth
- 14:12Speaker 4: generated from the experience of shooting this thing.
- 14:16Speaker 6: How much have you been paid?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Well, I started out when I first started out on
- 14:22Speaker 4: Doctor Hospital, we were in eighteen forty nine, I was
- 14:26Speaker 4: paid in ten thousand an episode. I was getting ten
- 14:31Speaker 4: thousand an episode. We're on season twenty twenty six now
- 14:35Speaker 4: now I'm up to a million an episode, So I
- 14:38Speaker 4: have generated quite a fair share for myself.
- 14:41Speaker 6: And you guys shoot a hundred episodes a season, right.
- 14:43Speaker 4: And we shoot one hundred episodes of season, so to
- 14:47Speaker 4: be frank. Every time I get a little tired or
- 14:50Speaker 4: a little sick of pulling leeches out of a character actor,
- 14:54Speaker 4: I remember how much money I got sending in my
- 14:57Speaker 4: bank account. I just bought a house. I just bought
- 15:00Speaker 4: a house in North Carolina.
- 15:01Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 15:02Speaker 6: That really matches your accent. Now, that's great.
- 15:04Speaker 4: It's really great because I didn't sound like this before
- 15:07Speaker 4: I started.
- 15:07Speaker 6: The show where you're originally from.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I was from Malibu. I grew up in Malibu. My
- 15:13Speaker 4: dad was in the industry. And then I once I
- 15:16Speaker 4: got this show, my voice sort of gradually changed to
- 15:20Speaker 4: adapt to my surrounding.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Because you've been in eighteen forty nine for so long.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Exactly because we you know, we shoot this show eleven
- 15:27Speaker 4: months out of the year, and so I found it's
- 15:29Speaker 4: much more efficient and easier for me to stay in
- 15:32Speaker 4: character and get out when I have to, as opposed
- 15:36Speaker 4: to trying to find the character over and over and
- 15:38Speaker 4: over again. It's exhausting.
- 15:40Speaker 3: I can't imagine.
- 15:41Speaker 6: I feel that.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Yeah, can we all be kind of okay to talk
- 15:44Speaker 3: about money? I think it's important to.
- 15:47Speaker 6: Just absolutely, I mean, it makes us stronger.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yes, let's go around how much money does everybody have?
- 15:52Speaker 3: Well, so I'm on the first season on my show,
- 15:55Speaker 3: and as many people know in the industry, the first
- 15:58Speaker 3: season is a specific gray and then if we get
- 16:00Speaker 3: into a second season, my rates double. So I'm starting
- 16:05Speaker 3: at eight hundred thousand an episode, and I was given
- 16:07Speaker 3: a three million dollars signing bonus, and they agreed to
- 16:11Speaker 3: pay off my parents' house, which was awesome.
- 16:13Speaker 1: So they gave you a three million dollars signing both
- 16:15Speaker 1: bonus like a baseball player.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Yeah, like I sign it, yes, because well, I don't
- 16:19Speaker 3: know if you are a free agent. Well, yeah, did
- 16:21Speaker 3: you guys? I don't know if you guys knew about
- 16:23Speaker 3: the new procedural draft that's been.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Happening, So we should talk about the draft.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, which is it? It is kind of frustrating because
- 16:30Speaker 3: it is mandatory, and I do see actors protesting. Uh,
- 16:33Speaker 3: you have to serve your country and you have to
- 16:35Speaker 3: apply to be at a procedural and it's controversial.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Yeah, if you can say words fast off a piece
- 16:42Speaker 2: of paper and you're a certain level of attractiveness, you
- 16:46Speaker 2: are drafted into this.
- 16:50Speaker 3: And for artists, it's like one of the worst things
- 16:51Speaker 3: that could happen to you, right, like you have to
- 16:53Speaker 3: say goodbye to your career because like, just.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Like I remember, I have a friend that just fell
- 16:58Speaker 2: in love with checkof Yeah, and it was so sad
- 17:01Speaker 2: because she started reading check off and she was just
- 17:05Speaker 2: about to do three Sisters.
- 17:07Speaker 4: It's just a great tragedy.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And then what and I went, when the country finds
- 17:10Speaker 2: out that you can read big words fast, I would
- 17:14Speaker 2: lay low a little bit.
- 17:15Speaker 3: But she's out there, right, what's she on? Is she?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Is she?
- 17:17Speaker 3: What? Is she? A doctor or teacher? Lawyer? What is she?
- 17:19Speaker 2: She's on CSI Jupiter Florida.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Yeah, she's serving her country on CSI Jupiter Florida, which.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Is a great show that takes place on the planet Jupiter.
- 17:28Speaker 1: If Jupiter had a Florida.
- 17:29Speaker 2: No, there's a Jupiter in Florida.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Okay, never mind, buddy, you gotta cut that shit out. Okay,
- 17:39Speaker 6: what nothing? All right? Hope.
- 17:42Speaker 4: The draft is such a great tragedy. It's such a
- 17:45Speaker 4: great tragedy. I wish because I as a as a
- 17:49Speaker 4: person who is a who is an eight on the
- 17:52Speaker 4: scale of hotness. Of course, when I was nineteen years
- 17:55Speaker 4: old and I was an eight, No, don't cook don't
- 17:58Speaker 4: put me any higher because I might have to be
- 17:59Speaker 4: a and I'd be out of a job.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So shot, I would say eight point five, eight point four, Maybe.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You're a smoke show to me.
- 18:07Speaker 4: No, on a scale of one that Oh my god,
- 18:10Speaker 4: I just got what you're doing. You better stop it now. Married,
- 18:16Speaker 4: I am sorry, married to an oil baron.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Okay, okay, so you don't even need the money.
- 18:21Speaker 1: How much money is in your bag if you're married
- 18:24Speaker 1: doing an oil baron? How much money is in your
- 18:26Speaker 1: bake account?
- 18:27Speaker 4: Ten trillion dollars?
- 18:28Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, that's a serious cash flow.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Wow, Molly, how much money you got?
- 18:36Speaker 2: Okay. So we've done four seasons and that's great.
- 18:40Speaker 1: That syndication level almost there there, Joel.
- 18:44Speaker 2: So, we've done four seasons, but Helicopter Ambulance is one
- 18:48Speaker 2: of the longest episode orders I think in CBS history.
- 18:51Speaker 6: Yeah. How many episodes each four in each.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Of our four seasons with five thousand episodes?
- 18:58Speaker 3: And how long is each?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Thirty minutes?
- 19:01Speaker 6: Oh? Okay, great, that's a fun drama.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, helicopter rides are notorisy short.
- 19:08Speaker 3: That's why you.
- 19:08Speaker 6: Take a helicopter.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So the writers were just like, there's no way around.
- 19:13Speaker 1: This people, I got a question for you. What do
- 19:14Speaker 1: you guys do about sound? What do you do with
- 19:17Speaker 1: that sound? How do you how do you guys play
- 19:20Speaker 1: to the fact that helicopter is one of the loudest
- 19:22Speaker 1: things you can be here or around.
- 19:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just like some of our the disaster like
- 19:28Speaker 2: procedurals where it's just like, oh whoa like I mean,
- 19:32Speaker 2: watch the Titanic. I mean some of our big some
- 19:35Speaker 2: of the big people that have gone before us, that
- 19:37Speaker 2: have done war movies have made sounds and made stories
- 19:41Speaker 2: within fire.
- 19:43Speaker 4: They only shoot your scenes while you're in the helicopter,
- 19:47Speaker 4: all your sex scenes, all your personal life scene, that
- 19:50Speaker 4: scene where you got friends in the helicopter.
- 19:53Speaker 6: You had that ten thousand episode arc with that guy.
- 19:58Speaker 2: It was a two season Yeah.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Ten thousand each and finally you guys kissed and hooked
- 20:03Speaker 1: up in the cockpit of your health.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Yeah. And that was so fun because the director wanted
- 20:11Speaker 2: to reclaim Wind as sexy, and we used like, because
- 20:17Speaker 2: the water is sexy, fire is sexy. Wind is not.
- 20:24Speaker 3: This is something we talk about a lot in my
- 20:26Speaker 3: acting class. Everyone's treating Wind like a best friend. It's
- 20:29Speaker 3: like really hard for me. To see we need.
- 20:32Speaker 6: It's like, all right there, it's.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Crazy, yeah, so crazy.
- 20:35Speaker 2: It was really fun to do that because, I mean,
- 20:37Speaker 2: the second helicopter ambulance joined the procedural families. I think
- 20:42Speaker 2: it was fun to just see what a helicopter can do,
- 20:45Speaker 2: just like a fire truck, just like an ambulance, just
- 20:47Speaker 2: like a cop car. It's like, how does this join
- 20:51Speaker 2: the family of transportation devices that tell these stories. But
- 20:56Speaker 2: this thing's loud, this thing is really really I know.
- 21:04Speaker 2: So we're doing a lot of m os.
- 21:07Speaker 4: I cannot tell you. It's really loud to watch Lou.
- 21:10Speaker 6: I have to turn my TV down almost to silent.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's why we do so much music. We
- 21:16Speaker 2: have like a deal almost exclusively with the Fray. They
- 21:19Speaker 2: do so much of our mind exclusive.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Well, a couple of times they need like a different
- 21:28Speaker 6: type of music. That makes sense to me.
- 21:31Speaker 4: What is done for procedurals, So they are drafted way
- 21:38Speaker 4: before anybody it.
- 21:39Speaker 2: And and Coplay walks of the Fray could run. That's
- 21:41Speaker 2: what I say. And a lot of people, a lot
- 21:43Speaker 2: of people come for me in the comments about it.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of them say Copplay came way before
- 21:46Speaker 3: the Yeah, you know what.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Roast me in the comments, I don't really care. But
- 21:50Speaker 2: I'll say, in terms of procedural montages.
- 21:53Speaker 6: How are they roasting you? Can we just focus on
- 21:55Speaker 6: that house.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Saying that Coldplay walks of the Frey could run.
- 21:57Speaker 6: What would they say in response to that.
- 21:59Speaker 2: That it the opposite way around, or that the colpe
- 22:02Speaker 2: was way here before the fray, or that they shouldn't
- 22:05Speaker 2: even be in the same lane lane.
- 22:09Speaker 6: Level are.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Double playing field, that they shouldn't even be in the
- 22:18Speaker 2: same level playing field. But in terms of procedurals, guys
- 22:22Speaker 2: we're talking about Music is different, like storytelling is different.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Sounds are different. So I will say the fray we
- 22:28Speaker 2: are using almost exclusively because it's the sound of this helicopter,
- 22:32Speaker 2: and it's the sound of my helicopter, my character.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I got a question, is your helicopter? Is the show
- 22:37Speaker 1: a little bit like Midnight Rider where the helicopter can speak.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No but it has sorry no, Because I mean, we
- 22:45Speaker 2: were really grounded in reality.
- 22:47Speaker 6: And I'll say, like I was just trying to give
- 22:50Speaker 6: you an idea. Maybe that's oh no.
- 22:51Speaker 2: I would love the writer's notoriously this fireman's board.
- 22:55Speaker 4: I can tell that's why he's pitching on other shows.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I could tell my writers hate when I pitched, they say.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Go back my pitches. They always say, hey, great idea,
- 23:07Speaker 1: we love that.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Wee really and do they implements? Do they just say
- 23:10Speaker 4: great idea, patch you on the back and give you.
- 23:12Speaker 1: A love I think one that you're really accurate that.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I have received a lot of lollipops. Well, I also
- 23:19Speaker 1: read they know my favorite flavor.
- 23:21Speaker 4: I love when they give the actors a good idea.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Did you direct an episode this year?
- 23:27Speaker 4: I did?
- 23:28Speaker 6: I did direct an episode. How was that? Do you
- 23:30Speaker 6: feel like a direct island? I felt great?
- 23:32Speaker 1: So basically, I just it was so much easier than
- 23:35Speaker 1: I thought. I show up maybe thirty minutes a day
- 23:39Speaker 1: and the camera results said, and they've already shot half
- 23:42Speaker 1: of the day.
- 23:42Speaker 6: It's great.
- 23:43Speaker 2: How much you get paid directing versus acting in an episode?
- 23:46Speaker 1: So directing is different because I'm kind of new to
- 23:48Speaker 1: the game of directing. So they but it kind of
- 23:51Speaker 1: falls into my contract. So I got for directing that
- 23:54Speaker 1: one episode, I got four houses in Malibu and then
- 23:58Speaker 1: one house in a Tahoe and a hotel complex in Reno.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Do you think it is bogaining?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a big that's why we pick it. You know,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I should have gotten five? Should have gotten five?
- 24:10Speaker 2: Do you think it's weird these studios use land so
- 24:13Speaker 2: often in paying us so.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Because I think, aren't we going to run out of it?
- 24:18Speaker 4: Well?
- 24:18Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. I don't think so.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I own most of Ohio now, so that's great. Wow, Yeah,
- 24:26Speaker 1: locals love me.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Did you guys do any research, like kind of doing
- 24:31Speaker 3: ride alongs or working with people that are in your
- 24:34Speaker 3: fields when you started?
- 24:36Speaker 2: That's a great question, like did we do co stars?
- 24:38Speaker 6: No?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Like did you do research?
- 24:41Speaker 4: Like did you get in a helicopter?
- 24:44Speaker 2: Sorry, it's okay.
- 24:45Speaker 3: I I had a meeting with the lawyer and I
- 24:48Speaker 3: actually I sat in on a couple of cases at
- 24:50Speaker 3: the local court.
- 24:51Speaker 2: No way.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I watched Like how long did you take doing that?
- 24:54Speaker 3: I did it for a month and a half that
- 24:57Speaker 3: I got that when I was auditioning. I just went
- 24:59Speaker 3: and I started, and then I kept doing it after
- 25:01Speaker 3: I got the word of the case. Did you watch
- 25:03Speaker 3: I watched all sorts. I watched civil and I watched criminal.
- 25:06Speaker 3: I watched this one case of this this woman who
- 25:08Speaker 3: was suing her neighbors because she fell down her stairs
- 25:12Speaker 3: her fault.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I mean, I don't disagree with you, because why would
- 25:19Speaker 2: it be her neighbor's fault.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Well, it actually was her neighbor's fault because her neighbors
- 25:25Speaker 3: didn't tell her that they were building stairs there. So
- 25:28Speaker 3: what it is in her house not in her house
- 25:31Speaker 3: on the hill. It used to be a haill, so
- 25:32Speaker 3: she was used to walking down a hill. And then
- 25:33Speaker 3: she tipped on the stairs.
- 25:34Speaker 6: Freaking open your eyes, old lady.
- 25:39Speaker 4: I don't.
- 25:40Speaker 3: I didn't tell the story to take a side that's personal.
- 25:44Speaker 1: One of my arcs on my show is, you know,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I get a lot of trouble because I actually nudged
- 25:48Speaker 1: the old lady downstairs. And well, I'm trying to save
- 25:51Speaker 1: a fire. There's a bunch of buildings and this woman
- 25:53Speaker 1: is pestering, pestering, pestering me to save her, and I go,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I've got to save these kids first. I've got to
- 25:58Speaker 1: save these kids first, in the full school children of kids.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And she's asking me, hey, can you bring me down
- 26:03Speaker 1: these stairs?
- 26:04Speaker 6: I'm like walk. So my character goes through this whole
- 26:07Speaker 6: legal bat.
- 26:07Speaker 3: That's pretty unlikable for your character to do.
- 26:09Speaker 6: That is it's an accidental nudge. I mean people. People
- 26:12Speaker 6: really liked the arc. Actually people really.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I didn't see that season. Was that a full season
- 26:16Speaker 4: of legal not what what have you?
- 26:19Speaker 6: That was a full season?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Well, what happened was I wasn't I was running for
- 26:24Speaker 1: governor of Ohio at that point, so they couldn't use
- 26:27Speaker 1: me in the fire scenes, so they had me do
- 26:28Speaker 1: a lot of like exterior political stuff. We shot out
- 26:31Speaker 1: most of my scenes in a day and it was
- 26:32Speaker 1: mostly in a courtroom.
- 26:34Speaker 6: Yeah, that was pretty great.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds a lot like I've heard of the
- 26:38Speaker 2: acting guy Stun Skolovsky, Sanislovsky, Sanskovski, Stanislavsky. That's cool, So.
- 26:47Speaker 6: You've heard of him.
- 26:48Speaker 4: So you've heard of him now, I think so. Well.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I had to do a few ride alongs with some
- 26:57Speaker 4: very weird historical rhinna. I don't like them very much
- 27:02Speaker 4: and I can't relate to them in a single way.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Did you learn anything?
- 27:06Speaker 4: I learned that there were four humors that we believed
- 27:09Speaker 4: in in the human body, and medicine was done by
- 27:13Speaker 4: removing or supplementing different levels of humors to balance them out.
- 27:19Speaker 4: So yellow, green, black, and red were the four humors.
- 27:23Speaker 4: I believe this is all coming from one guy, and
- 27:27Speaker 4: he was a Civil War reinactor who knew a lot
- 27:30Speaker 4: about the medical side, and so I hung out with
- 27:32Speaker 4: him at a bar for a couple of hours and
- 27:35Speaker 4: I got a lot of information on sort of the
- 27:38Speaker 4: mindset of that. Because I also have to play a
- 27:40Speaker 4: man in the show, I have to play a woman
- 27:43Speaker 4: disguising herself as a man, as sort of a Moulan situation,
- 27:46Speaker 4: because of course women couldn't be doctors in eighteen forty nine.
- 27:49Speaker 4: So the whole show. It's shocking that it's quite as
- 27:53Speaker 4: as much of a hit as it is, because I
- 27:55Speaker 4: would say it's unrelatable subject matter, and I'll say that
- 27:58Speaker 4: to their face, to the show's space.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I did a guy.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I did a lot of research. I looked at a
- 28:07Speaker 1: lot of videos about fires for a couple months, and
- 28:10Speaker 1: then I had to sit down with a general, a
- 28:12Speaker 1: retired general. And I also had to sit down with
- 28:14Speaker 1: a guy who loves to fish, and that was kind
- 28:17Speaker 1: of thing you had to sit down with the guy
- 28:20Speaker 1: who loves to fish was a boring ass.
- 28:23Speaker 4: How did they find that man?
- 28:25Speaker 6: They did a big call, you know.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Apparently a producer had a friend who knows a fishing community,
- 28:30Speaker 1: and so they kind of called in a guy who
- 28:32Speaker 1: just is a retire he loves to fish, and just
- 28:35Speaker 1: you know, as an actor at that time, to get
- 28:37Speaker 1: into the mind of somebody who loves to fish, it's
- 28:39Speaker 1: so interesting, it's so intriguing. You know, what is the
- 28:41Speaker 1: pain behind somebody that loves to fish?
- 28:43Speaker 6: What are they escaping?
- 28:44Speaker 1: What are they running from? It was something that really
- 28:46Speaker 1: drove a lot of the fire scenes forward.
- 28:48Speaker 3: And what did you find? He was running from that guy.
- 28:51Speaker 1: He was running from a lot, he was running from
- 28:53Speaker 1: the cops, he was running from casinos, he was running
- 28:56Speaker 1: from a lot. Okay, wow, So it was interesting, I
- 28:59Speaker 1: honestly really interesting.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Guy, wat make it feels the work?
- 29:02Speaker 6: Yeah? Absolutely?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Can I ask you us a question because I think
- 29:05Speaker 3: one of the things I'm running into, since you know,
- 29:07Speaker 3: I'm the nubie here, one of the things I'm running
- 29:10Speaker 3: into is it's sometimes hard for me to memorize all
- 29:12Speaker 3: those lines. I'll walk in and there'll be eight pages
- 29:16Speaker 3: that were doing that I didn't know existed. Yeah, and
- 29:18Speaker 3: I don't even know when they wrote them, and I'm
- 29:21Speaker 3: trying to work on them, and it feels like it's
- 29:23Speaker 3: not right, and it feels like a pressure because everyone
- 29:25Speaker 3: wants to get out, because it seems like everybody has
- 29:28Speaker 3: a kid, and every kid has a recital, so it
- 29:30Speaker 3: feels like we're getting out so fast. So I guess
- 29:33Speaker 3: I'm just wondering if you guys have any advice for me.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I've got you a piece of advice. Now, okay, I
- 29:39Speaker 4: would say, forget all the other thoughts in your brain.
- 29:43Speaker 4: Just get rid of them. They are of no use
- 29:45Speaker 4: to you now. You don't need to do hobbies, you
- 29:48Speaker 4: don't need to do stuff outside of this, you don't
- 29:50Speaker 4: need to have political opinions. Just remove all that space.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Free up some storage space in the main for the
- 29:56Speaker 4: lines now real.
- 29:57Speaker 3: But I think my problem with some of the line
- 30:00Speaker 3: even if I were to empty my brain, I don't
- 30:03Speaker 3: know what a lot of these words mean, and I
- 30:05Speaker 3: don't know what a lot of these things are. It
- 30:07Speaker 3: feels complicated. It feels like I'm talking about legal stuff.
- 30:09Speaker 6: I don't know anything about it.
- 30:10Speaker 3: So how do I attach to that? How do I
- 30:11Speaker 3: keep that in my brain?
- 30:12Speaker 2: So that's what I think the research trip was for.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Oh is like learning the words I.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Was supposed to learn what it was like to be
- 30:20Speaker 3: a full lawyer on my one reason, not like.
- 30:22Speaker 2: A full lawyer. But I think like a little bit
- 30:25Speaker 2: of like the research is like to learn a little bit.
- 30:28Speaker 3: Oh so, like everything you guys say on your procedurals,
- 30:30Speaker 3: you guys like like fully know everything you're saying.
- 30:32Speaker 6: I had to know deeply.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I had to become one with fire Man, and I
- 30:35Speaker 1: had the same problem when I started. I didn't know
- 30:37Speaker 1: half of the words about fire.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. I think that makes sense to me.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I think you would know like that plank is on fire?
- 30:43Speaker 6: Did that not know that? I didn't know what a
- 30:45Speaker 6: plank of wood was? What the heck is that?
- 30:48Speaker 2: I had to say, Thank god you sat down with
- 30:49Speaker 2: that fisherman.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Yeah, he taught me a lot.
- 30:52Speaker 4: He said fire good, fire bad, fire hot fire not no,
- 30:56Speaker 4: but when it's out, that's exactly what he That sounds.
- 31:01Speaker 2: So hard now, believe it or not.
- 31:03Speaker 4: I actually know everything I'm talking about on the show
- 31:06Speaker 4: because I know exactly as much as doctors did in
- 31:09Speaker 4: the eighteen forties.
- 31:10Speaker 2: That's a good point, which is just yeah, I mean,
- 31:12Speaker 2: I think, don't be that hard on yourself. This is
- 31:14Speaker 2: season one. I think like there's a lot of room
- 31:17Speaker 2: to learn. You learn as you go. You kind of
- 31:20Speaker 2: learn on your feet because you are faking it to
- 31:23Speaker 2: make it, making it to do like I because I
- 31:26Speaker 2: grew up writing helicopters, and I'll get on that later.
- 31:30Speaker 3: But yeah, which I wish I knew that.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Okay, so I grew up writing helicopters. But I but
- 31:37Speaker 2: I didn't need research on getting into helicopters and writing those.
- 31:41Speaker 2: I needed research on kissing and making out kissing. No,
- 31:47Speaker 2: I'm and I know I'm just a smoke show.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So I'm sorry you asked your producers to help you
- 31:51Speaker 1: research kissing. No.
- 31:52Speaker 2: I no, I just knew that going into this, Like
- 31:55Speaker 2: just like you knew that being a lawyer was out
- 31:57Speaker 2: of your depth. I knew that having really hot sex
- 31:59Speaker 2: with out of my depth. I didn't know where to
- 32:02Speaker 2: put my hands. I just and if we're being vulnerable here,
- 32:05Speaker 2: I have really beige boring sex really and being on
- 32:10Speaker 2: these procedurals I watched. I mean, I grew up watching
- 32:13Speaker 2: Gray's Anatomy. I was like, who's creative enough to put
- 32:16Speaker 2: their hand there?
- 32:18Speaker 3: Interesting?
- 32:19Speaker 2: I put my hands behind my back and do the
- 32:21Speaker 2: thing and then I'm done.
- 32:22Speaker 3: It sounds like your writers are really sexually active, I
- 32:25Speaker 3: have to.
- 32:27Speaker 6: Put your hands behind your back.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Yeah, just because it's polite, I.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Would say this mine. Okay, mine know a lot more
- 32:36Speaker 3: about law than they do about sex, and so the
- 32:39Speaker 3: sex scenes feel very well. I'll say, dialogue heavy, very talky.
- 32:45Speaker 6: You're over talking the sex.
- 32:47Speaker 3: I object, yeah, object, I object? On what grounds would
- 32:50Speaker 3: you like to enter that? Absolutely?
- 32:53Speaker 1: I feel like it's a similar thing with mine. Mine
- 32:55Speaker 1: are too fire oriented, you know.
- 32:57Speaker 2: But all to say, I learned, like I had to
- 32:59Speaker 2: learn and memorizing kissing choreography, and like learning.
- 33:04Speaker 6: Did you have who is your kissing choreographer?
- 33:06Speaker 2: Linda Jones?
- 33:07Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh, legendary Linda Jones. She's incredibleographer.
- 33:10Speaker 2: She's incredible.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Jeffs X with her, I had we hooked up.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I love her.
- 33:14Speaker 4: She's I could tell her by the way you said, Oh,
- 33:17Speaker 4: Linda Jones.
- 33:19Speaker 6: The fact that I know here inside and out?
- 33:21Speaker 1: Okay, okay, yucky yucky fire man, Hey, yucky for fower City.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Get me out of fire City right away. I'm calling
- 33:30Speaker 4: an uber, get me home.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Oh someone called me a helicopter yuck city over here.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Do you ever have to deal with any sticky situations
- 33:37Speaker 3: with HR or anything like that.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Not once once. Yeah, I think it's because me and
- 33:43Speaker 1: the HR person hooked up.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I don't think that's.
- 33:48Speaker 6: About that. Then we're free. We're free men and women.
- 33:51Speaker 6: It's just free, free love. You know.
- 33:53Speaker 4: I want to know something, and that is what do
- 33:56Speaker 4: you guys have aspirations beyond the procedural you're currently on
- 34:01Speaker 4: or do you desire to sort of kick up your
- 34:04Speaker 4: feet and do this forever?
- 34:06Speaker 6: Well?
- 34:07Speaker 1: I did a couple movies in my past. You know,
- 34:10Speaker 1: we've been nine seasons now. Around season four or five,
- 34:13Speaker 1: when we were taking off, I did a couple movies.
- 34:16Speaker 1: They never really went anywhere. I mean, I don't know
- 34:18Speaker 1: if you guys have seen my movies? Have you have
- 34:20Speaker 1: you by chance seen the movies I started Horror Factory
- 34:24Speaker 1: Air Bud, Yeah, Horror Factory and Air There was Horror Factory,
- 34:34Speaker 1: which was kind of a murder mystery type thing, try
- 34:37Speaker 1: to get to the bottom. I played a detective of
- 34:39Speaker 1: trying to figure out what was going on?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Now did the factory make horrors or was there was
- 34:44Speaker 4: there a horror happening in a regular factor?
- 34:46Speaker 6: So you haven't seen it?
- 34:51Speaker 4: Long?
- 34:52Speaker 1: I am you haven't seen my movie? Is that you
- 34:54Speaker 1: don't know anything about it. That was I was a detective.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Somebody called in a complain about a factory. Turns out
- 35:00Speaker 1: there's a bunch of horrors happening at a factory that
- 35:03Speaker 1: you know has a bunch of that's one.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Of the worst things that could happen to a factory
- 35:08Speaker 4: horrors in it.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Yeah, certainly gets in the way I work.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. And Airbud was a sweet movie about a dog.
- 35:15Speaker 1: What was that about? So you haven't seen it, So
- 35:19Speaker 1: you haven't seen it, So.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Airbody, I'm upset all the time.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Everybody is a sweet movie about a boy and a dog,
- 35:25Speaker 1: and I play the connection between the two of them.
- 35:28Speaker 6: I kind of narrated it.
- 35:31Speaker 1: And then I also played geeked Out Samurai, which was
- 35:33Speaker 1: a great fun action movie, kind of a mix of everything.
- 35:38Speaker 1: It was Jumanji meets the Last, Samurai meets Last Mohicans
- 35:42Speaker 1: meets Death on the Nile meets a speed racer meets
- 35:50Speaker 1: a Cosmopolitan is what I was told.
- 35:52Speaker 6: And that was a really fun movie. Got fourteen dollars
- 35:55Speaker 6: at the box office when it came out.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Wow, what a shame.
- 35:58Speaker 6: So I kind of had my thing.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I tried it out, didn't work, so you know, I'm
- 36:02Speaker 1: just a guy who loves his dad.
- 36:07Speaker 6: Yucky about that.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Tell so about your dad a little bit.
- 36:11Speaker 6: If that's it.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Smammy about the way you love your father, I don't trust.
- 36:16Speaker 2: It for some reason. I know it isn't inherent, but yucky,
- 36:20Speaker 2: but the way you said it, and what you did
- 36:21Speaker 2: with your foot when you said it is just Yucky's wrong.
- 36:25Speaker 6: I love my dad. He's a good guy.
- 36:27Speaker 1: He's retired now, you know, and parents got divorced early on.
- 36:31Speaker 6: My mom's with.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Some idiot, so I gotta look out for him. I
- 36:35Speaker 1: gotta look out for him. We go, we go on trips.
- 36:37Speaker 6: Now, we hang out, we hug, you know, very touchy feeling.
- 36:41Speaker 6: It's great.
- 36:42Speaker 3: I'm hoping to renegotiate my contract for three years. I'm
- 36:47Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna take what I make and uh
- 36:50Speaker 3: plumt for a little from DC rules. I'm gonna I'm
- 36:53Speaker 3: gonna do that, get a little bit of reputation, get
- 36:56Speaker 3: some meetings, and I'm gonna use it to make a
- 36:57Speaker 3: lot of my independent projects. And I'm really excited about that.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I have a coming of age movie I wrote about
- 37:03Speaker 3: a little boy like a teenager who finds his first
- 37:06Speaker 3: love at a boy Scout camp. But I can't make
- 37:09Speaker 3: it yet because CBS told me I'm not allowed to
- 37:11Speaker 3: come out of the closet yet, so it's gonna cut
- 37:14Speaker 3: out soon. But I'm really excited about you.
- 37:15Speaker 2: So how did that meeting look like? What did that
- 37:17Speaker 2: look like?
- 37:18Speaker 3: Well, they said it was it was a It was
- 37:20Speaker 3: a dummy production company where they they they set up
- 37:23Speaker 3: a fake.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Company after you were cast.
- 37:25Speaker 5: It was after I was cast, and they said, we
- 37:27Speaker 5: like to meet with you. We have the ideas for general.
- 37:30Speaker 5: It was a gotcha meeting if you guys had gotcha meeting.
- 37:33Speaker 5: They said, thank god, this was a gotcha meeting. Thank god,
- 37:35Speaker 5: this hasn't come out. No one can hear about this.
- 37:38Speaker 5: You're straight for a little bit. So that's what I'm
- 37:41Speaker 5: up to, right, And you're going.
- 37:41Speaker 6: To be playing the young boy scout.
- 37:43Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, I couldn't. I couldn't possibly.
- 37:46Speaker 1: No.
- 37:46Speaker 3: We're going to get whoever's young and hot at the time,
- 37:49Speaker 3: younger than me. Obviously.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I think I had a gotcha meeting before I got
- 37:52Speaker 2: my chin done.
- 37:53Speaker 3: What happened?
- 37:55Speaker 2: I think it was a reverse gotcha meeting were they
- 37:58Speaker 2: forced me to get my chin done.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I got them meeting, I'll say.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I'm sorry the studio is making you do that.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Oh it's okay. I stated it with it. I'm okay
- 38:17Speaker 3: with it.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I mean, you know, are you because I miss my
- 38:19Speaker 2: old chin do?
- 38:20Speaker 3: Yeah? No, I look, I know that I'll be I'll
- 38:23Speaker 3: be queer eventually, and I'm really looking forward to that
- 38:26Speaker 3: day and I've lined a bunch of stuff up. I'm
- 38:28Speaker 3: gonna I reserved a table at High Tops and was
- 38:32Speaker 3: Hollywood for twenty twenty seven, So.
- 38:36Speaker 6: That's Greatsie.
- 38:38Speaker 4: Lets you do it that far, especially on High Top.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah for High Tops. Yeah, Resie is really helping
- 38:45Speaker 3: me out. We won't do this for anyone, but we
- 38:48Speaker 3: feel so bad for you.
- 38:50Speaker 2: That place is just like Bestie you can't get in from.
- 38:55Speaker 3: So I just figured I said it and it'll be
- 38:57Speaker 3: really nice.
- 38:58Speaker 6: That's only forty years ago. That's great.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it's only oh it is it
- 39:03Speaker 3: is for you. Yeah, I said it off.
- 39:04Speaker 1: So it's not talking about your If you guys get
- 39:06Speaker 1: a season two yet, I when you guys.
- 39:09Speaker 6: Find out there's got to be a deadline, I.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Think, yeah, right, I think we're gonna come. I think
- 39:14Speaker 3: it's I think it's it's coming any second. Now, I
- 39:16Speaker 3: haven't heard anything.
- 39:18Speaker 2: You haven't heard to your freedom and your like life
- 39:21Speaker 2: path is an episode order? Are you getting numbers?
- 39:25Speaker 3: Yes?
- 39:26Speaker 6: What are your numbers?
- 39:27Speaker 2: How much are they out asking?
- 39:28Speaker 5: Uh?
- 39:29Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 39:30Speaker 2: How many episodes?
- 39:31Speaker 3: How many episodes?
- 39:32Speaker 6: Oh? And how much are they asking? Yeah?
- 39:35Speaker 3: So this is a lot of stuff.
- 39:37Speaker 2: This is a simple question question.
- 39:40Speaker 3: So they're asking. So I think the current episode order
- 39:44Speaker 3: is question mark. It's like it's it's it's like a
- 39:48Speaker 3: sidew No you know what it was. Sorry, I'm confused.
- 39:51Speaker 3: It was an eight, but they had it on its side.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Oh god, and they won't you stay in the closet?
- 39:56Speaker 3: Did they have that until the until the eight that
- 39:59Speaker 3: sideways it goes away?
- 40:01Speaker 4: Answer? Until the infinity sigdne disappear?
- 40:03Speaker 1: Oh?
- 40:04Speaker 3: Is that what that is?
- 40:05Speaker 4: To unknown laws of the universe that makes infinity disappear.
- 40:08Speaker 4: That's when you could be queer.
- 40:10Speaker 6: I think so, And that's your season one episode order.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Do you think I should call Rezi?
- 40:14Speaker 6: I think you got I.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Think you gotta move that high tops res till later.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Okay, okay, oh shit, because you don't want to lose
- 40:22Speaker 3: your reputation with Rezie.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Because once you're none, they'll say, well, we can't reserve
- 40:28Speaker 4: a table for you in twenty twenty nine because remember
- 40:30Speaker 4: what you did in twenty twenty seven, But.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Then use a pseudonym because you don't want high tops
- 40:34Speaker 2: to know it's you.
- 40:35Speaker 3: I got in trouble at the Open Table once because
- 40:37Speaker 3: they told me that I had reserved a table but
- 40:39Speaker 3: I didn't check in for it.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But open Table they're slots. Those women pull their panties
- 40:45Speaker 2: down for anybody.
- 40:48Speaker 6: You know that twenty four.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I've becoming Well, I know it because I went to
- 41:00Speaker 2: college with them, okay, with the open They all were
- 41:05Speaker 2: in Kay Alpha and they opened Open Table together.
- 41:09Speaker 4: And did they bully you?
- 41:10Speaker 2: They did because because they would helicopter to my class
- 41:15Speaker 2: every morning.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Now, can we talk about that?
- 41:18Speaker 1: Talking about that hour and I'll get into it later, Okay, okay, okay.
- 41:24Speaker 4: You know, after this, after my career is done on
- 41:28Speaker 4: Doctor Hospital to Wear in eighteen forty nine, I want
- 41:31Speaker 4: to you know, I've taken a fondness to all the
- 41:34Speaker 4: leeches on the show, and I've started keeping them in
- 41:38Speaker 4: jars in my house, and I'd like to investigate that
- 41:40Speaker 4: relationship further.
- 41:44Speaker 6: You just want to figure it out.
- 41:47Speaker 3: You want to figure out why you like it.
- 41:49Speaker 4: I I want to do something, you know, because I'm
- 41:56Speaker 4: starting to have these thoughts. You know, maybe I should
- 41:58Speaker 4: open up a conservancy, A what do they call that?
- 42:02Speaker 4: A conservatory?
- 42:03Speaker 3: No, for animal conservatory. I think a conservancy is what
- 42:08Speaker 3: celebrities are.
- 42:10Speaker 4: Yeah about a ship animal observation, A conservation at.
- 42:17Speaker 6: A college that has conservatorship is.
- 42:24Speaker 3: So you want to say with the you want to
- 42:25Speaker 3: save the leaches.
- 42:26Speaker 4: I wanted to save the leeches. And it was actually
- 42:29Speaker 4: this precise conversation that was rumbling around in my brain
- 42:32Speaker 4: where I couldn't figure out.
- 42:33Speaker 6: What the word for it was.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Or do you want to.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Dissuade me from the process of creating a leech conservatorship?
- 42:39Speaker 2: That sounds like a conservativeship, which means you want to
- 42:42Speaker 2: put the leeches up.
- 42:43Speaker 4: You don't want to be in control of the vegan
- 42:45Speaker 4: showcases and their legal affairs, and I don't.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Want to profit offful definship's feel about it.
- 42:54Speaker 4: So, add the advice of my therapists and my husband,
- 42:57Speaker 4: I decided to investigate why I want that.
- 43:00Speaker 3: That's great.
- 43:00Speaker 4: So I'm doing a lot of inner work, a lot
- 43:02Speaker 4: of breath work, a lot of yoga, trying to figure
- 43:05Speaker 4: out what's wrong with me and where it all when wrong?
- 43:07Speaker 3: Great?
- 43:08Speaker 6: Do you guys still like being on your shows?
- 43:09Speaker 1: Like? What's the day to day? Are you showing up motivated?
- 43:11Speaker 1: Are you showing up depressed?
- 43:13Speaker 6: Where you like?
- 43:13Speaker 3: I like it?
- 43:14Speaker 6: Yeah? What is your day to day?
- 43:15Speaker 4: Like?
- 43:16Speaker 6: How many lines you got?
- 43:17Speaker 3: Well? I like usually eight to nine pages. I'm usually
- 43:20Speaker 3: usually I'm doing something that's wrong at the beginning, and
- 43:23Speaker 3: then I figure out that it's wrong, and then I
- 43:25Speaker 3: do the right thing at the end. Usually every episode.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I usually wake up, I YouTube people kissing. I
- 43:32Speaker 2: stare at it for a while, and then I go Okay.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Then I show up to set. I read I learned
- 43:36Speaker 2: my lines really fast.
- 43:38Speaker 6: Yeah, at this point it's so easy.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Unfortunately most of my lines, well fortunately most my lines
- 43:42Speaker 1: are just reactionary.
- 43:43Speaker 6: You know. They don't give me the big stuff anymore.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, I I think, Yeah, that does make sense, Mike.
- 43:48Speaker 6: My number one line is there's a fire where.
- 43:53Speaker 4: And that's all they really need from you. You're taking
- 43:56Speaker 4: off your shirt, your fire equipment, and you're running.
- 43:59Speaker 1: In either say here we go or here we go again.
- 44:04Speaker 1: It's kind of my I like.
- 44:05Speaker 4: When you're sarcastic about the fire.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, here we go again. So good.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Can I ask you guys a question too? So we're
- 44:14Speaker 3: coming to the end of the season, and I know
- 44:16Speaker 3: a lot of the people are buying kind of trucks
- 44:19Speaker 3: for the crew and stuff. Do you guys buy the crew.
- 44:21Speaker 6: Gifts or buying trucks for the you like food.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Trucks or like Collee truck, you know, like a big
- 44:26Speaker 3: crew gift, like a truck.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:28Speaker 3: No, I wouldn't remember a truck. No, No, one's buying
- 44:31Speaker 3: trucks that I know of. But what do you guys
- 44:33Speaker 3: do for for your cast?
- 44:34Speaker 2: I buy them a truck?
- 44:39Speaker 6: Do they share it? It's just one truck?
- 44:44Speaker 4: Did say truck?
- 44:46Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 44:47Speaker 2: So I don't know about you guys. Do you guys
- 44:48Speaker 2: do separate trucks? I do a truck?
- 44:51Speaker 4: Well, I do a Harry and David's gift basket?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I do a truck for you a truck.
- 44:55Speaker 2: I do a truck, do a big gift basket?
- 44:58Speaker 4: Who crew?
- 44:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 44:59Speaker 4: I do a Harry and David's Harry and David's pick
- 45:01Speaker 4: gift basket. They can come into my trailer if I
- 45:04Speaker 4: let them, and they can pick around for it. They
- 45:06Speaker 4: can root around the chocolates and the moose munch. Do
- 45:08Speaker 4: you guys have the moose mouth? I love moose munch yummy.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Too, I love most I'll do a fun game up,
- 45:15Speaker 1: start a fire and let the crew put it out
- 45:17Speaker 1: for one time.
- 45:18Speaker 6: That's really that.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Sucks, A sort of a turning on the tables.
- 45:21Speaker 6: That sucks.
- 45:24Speaker 2: That's yucky, and that's sucky.
- 45:26Speaker 3: That is yucky.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Hey, how many pas have you guys yelled at? Be honest,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I know I look like the bad guy.
- 45:32Speaker 3: None, I mean none. We're all in the same we're
- 45:34Speaker 3: all on it together. You guys don't yell dot.
- 45:36Speaker 4: None sick leeches on five.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I'm so glad you're investigating why you love.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Got way too many leeches on that set, and way
- 45:46Speaker 4: too many of the leeches are practical. They're alive, they're moving.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I think I've I don't think i've spoken to one.
- 45:57Speaker 6: No, come on, you've never spoken to a PA.
- 46:03Speaker 2: It's so loud. Okay, it's so loud.
- 46:09Speaker 4: How could she possibly She's say the helicopter.
- 46:12Speaker 2: We don't have action, we have green lights.
- 46:14Speaker 3: It's so crazy. My landlord has forbidden every tenant to
- 46:18Speaker 3: watch your show.
- 46:24Speaker 6: With a kissing.
- 46:25Speaker 3: I don't know, he's weird. He reminds me of you, Clive,
- 46:29Speaker 3: why because he's.
- 46:30Speaker 6: Hey, cut that ship out, man, Okay, cut that ship out.
- 46:34Speaker 4: What would you say to a young actor coming into
- 46:36Speaker 4: the procedural world like you, but someone even younger than.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah, like someone who is I saw my friend has
- 46:44Speaker 2: a daughter and she came in and she was in
- 46:48Speaker 2: an acting class and she had sides and it was
- 46:51Speaker 2: actually from your show No Way, Yeah, And they were
- 46:54Speaker 2: playing with the sides and they were reading lines and
- 46:57Speaker 2: I was like, this is so funny. And what I
- 47:00Speaker 2: will say, as I've seen actors who work on procedurals
- 47:02Speaker 2: and they go really slow, and I'm like, read it
- 47:06Speaker 2: like there's a like like like read it like it's
- 47:12Speaker 2: really like something is going on really fast, right, So
- 47:16Speaker 2: I think that would be my advice. I don't know
- 47:17Speaker 2: about you, guys.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I mean that's such good advice. I mean all these
- 47:20Speaker 1: shows there are disaster. I mean, it's it's trauma, it's drama,
- 47:24Speaker 1: it's crisis mode the whole time.
- 47:26Speaker 6: So you got to read it quick.
- 47:28Speaker 3: My advice would be, remember why you're doing it. So
- 47:31Speaker 3: if you have somebody that you love that is waiting
- 47:33Speaker 3: at home for you. Print a picture of them, put
- 47:36Speaker 3: them in your helmet, put them in your locker. You know,
- 47:39Speaker 3: so while you're sitting there on that long day saying
- 47:41Speaker 3: why did I get listed into this? Why am I
- 47:43Speaker 3: stuck here? You know, fulfilling the service to my country,
- 47:47Speaker 3: getting really really rich doing these procedurals. You remember why
- 47:50Speaker 3: you're doing it.
- 47:51Speaker 6: So I got a question.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I'm just remembering now at the beginning of this, you
- 47:53Speaker 1: have a wife and kid. You said that at the
- 47:55Speaker 1: right at the beginning.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Oh, I said, I have a partner and kids.
- 47:58Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, got it, got it.
- 47:59Speaker 3: But it is a man for now, for now. And
- 48:03Speaker 3: then the picture I don't have of them, I've drawn
- 48:06Speaker 3: what I imagine a queer man to look like.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Tell us what the queer man looks.
- 48:17Speaker 3: I don't think you guys would get it.
- 48:20Speaker 6: No, you're not getting off that easy.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Okay, let's just say his haircut is really fun. Okay,
- 48:26Speaker 3: that's what I drew.
- 48:28Speaker 2: Okay, what about you, madam?
- 48:30Speaker 4: Well, I tell a younger version of myself, get that coin, baby,
- 48:35Speaker 4: and strap in. It's gonna be one hell of a ride, now,
- 48:39Speaker 4: come on.
- 48:40Speaker 2: That's maybe the best advice I've ever heard in my life.
- 48:46Speaker 2: In my life, if only lots at open table heard
- 48:49Speaker 2: that advice, maybe they wouldn't have ruined everyone's lives.
- 48:54Speaker 6: My advice, no idea? How to respond to that?
- 49:03Speaker 2: What you don't want to respond to the open table?
- 49:08Speaker 6: Oh my god?
- 49:08Speaker 4: What is that deafening sound? By omer?
- 49:18Speaker 6: She took helicopters as ubers.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I'll explain it later.
- 49:24Speaker 3: This has been artist artist, artists and artists answer the
- 49:26Speaker 3: question now. That's why they call it show business. Good Night, Hollywood.
