- 0:00Good morning, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. I'm the host, Angel Santana.
- 0:07Today's episode is one of the hardest I've ever recorded, and is also one of the most important.
- 0:13We're talking about bullying, and not in theory, not in headlines, but in real life.
- 0:20The kind that changes a child's behavior, steals their confidence,
- 0:24and leaves parents lying awake at night, wondering if they're doing enough.
- 0:30Before I go any further, I want to be very clear.
- 0:35This episode is not about naming schools, children, or individuals. It's about awareness.
- 0:43It's about faith. And it's about hope.
- 0:47If you're a parent who has watched your child change, if you're a child who
- 0:53feels scared to speak up, this episode is for you.
- 0:58Have faith, let it begin. Start right now.
- 1:03Bullying isn't just teasing. It's not kids being kids.
- 1:09Bullying is repeated behavior meant to hurt, intimidate, or control someone.
- 1:15Emotionally, verbally, or physically.
- 1:20And sometimes bullying doesn't look loud. Sometimes it looks like a child who
- 1:26stops raising their hand, a child who suddenly doesn't finish work,
- 1:31a child who loved school and now dreads it.
- 1:35When a child changes, something is speaking through that change.
- 1:41If you're a parent listening, let me say this clearly.
- 1:45You're not imagining it. You're not being dramatic. And you're not wrong for asking questions.
- 1:53When your child's behavior shifts, it's not defiance. It's communication.
- 1:59Our job as parents is not just to raise good students. It's to protect hearts.
- 2:06And if you're a kid listening right now, I want you to hear me.
- 2:10What's happening to you is not your fault. You are not weak.
- 2:14You are not a tattletale for asking for help.
- 2:18Being brave doesn't mean being silent. Being brave means telling someone you trust.
- 2:24In the Bible, Jesus made it very clear that children matter.
- 2:29Their safety matters. Their Their dignity matters.
- 2:33Their voices matter. Standing up for a child is not confrontation.
- 2:39It's love in action.
- 2:41Advocacy is not anger. Advocacy is faith with courage.
- 2:47I want to speak to the parent who feels unheard right now. You are allowed to ask for meetings.
- 2:54You are allowed to ask for written plans. You are allowed to ask for accountability.
- 3:00And you're allowed to ask again. You are not that parent.
- 3:04You are the parent. And your child needs to keep showing up.
- 3:10Your child needs to keep showing up.
- 3:16Bullying does not get the final word. Fear does not get the final word.
- 3:22Silence does not get the final word.
- 3:25Healing is possible. Change is possible. And community matters.
- 3:31If this episode has helped you, please share it with someone who needs to hear it.
- 3:37Because you matter. Your child matters.
- 3:40And never forget, have faith, let it begin.
