Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning friends and enemies and today's video we're gonna run through my top thirty six wide receivers for the twenty twenty five fantasy football season they will be broken down by tears as I've already explained throughout my rankings videos they're not necessarily in order if they're in the same tier but I'm talking about the general strategy of the way I'm looking at groups of wide receivers as I'm building my fantasy football team
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: this summer we did the same thing for the running back position a few days ago that link will be in the show notes if you want to watch that video before this one or after this one either way it's fine by me as long as you do check it out.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: We'll also be doing an updated version of this video as we get a little bit deeper into the summer so if you are new here and you want to watch that video as we creep closer to the drafts make sure you subscribe to
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: the channel.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start at the very top with tier one.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: These are just simply the first round goats.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: We have Jamar Chase, we have Justin Jefferson, and we have CD Lamb, no further explanation.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Needed these are the best wide receivers in football that are just in their prime right now.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll move on to tier number two, which is a group of five guys.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: The way I would label these guys are, I would feel great about them if they are my wide receiver one.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: If I am building my team around them, being my wide receiver one, regardless of which part of the draft you get them in, we're gonna feel good about it.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: That is Puka, that is Nico Collins, that is Amon Ross St.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: Brown, that is Malik neighbors, and that is Brian Thomas Jr.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: If any of these guys finished as the wide receiver one overall by the end of this year,
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: There would be no surprise in my brain, alright?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody should be shocked if any of these guys ends up being the best player in fantasy football in twenty twenty five.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: We've been deep diving into some of the players that I think could actually break fantasy football leagues this year and Puka is one of them.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be doing a video on that either next week or the week after that.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: So again, make sure you are subscribed.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, these guys, if they are anchoring my team as my wide receiver, one feel phenomenal about this tier.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: With Cooper Cup out, I think Poop is probably going to play the Cooper Cup roll.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Nico Collins, we are expecting a little bit of a bounce back for CJ strat in this Houston offense.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: No more Bobby slow.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're going to get a little more
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: creative in the passing game here.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on Ross St.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Brown as I'm on Ross St.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Brown.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: The guy has been the wide receiver three and back to back seasons.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he doesn't have the ceiling to get to wide receiver one overall, but maybe he does.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Malik neighbors coming off a one hundred and seventy target rookie season.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: And now we get a little bit of a quarterback upgrade.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Are you shit in me?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't add any past catching
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: competition there for them to leak so year two should be a movie for that man same thing with Brian Thomas Jr.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: one of the better rookie seasons of all time for a wider seaver and now we have Liam Cohen coming into the offense I just think there's no ceiling for what BTJ could be in twenty twenty five tier number three these are guys that I think you kid build a strong team around if they are your wider seaver one
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: but I don't know if I could make a great argument for them hitting the tier two ceiling.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: I would be pretty shocked if any of these guys finished as the Widersiever won overall in fantasy.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if they are your Widersiever won on your team, the way that you built your roster, I'm feeling okay about that because you likely went elsewhere with your first pick or your first two picks.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: This is the tier four guys we have Drake London, we have AJ Brown, we have LADMA CONKING, we have Terry McClellan.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I think you can make the case that Drake London probably belongs into your two possibly my only hesitation here is with Michael Panics right we have we have those splits of that three games sample size of Michael Panics being a starter and I don't want everybody just look at those three games and then say hmm that's what's going to happen for seventeen games
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think Michael Penex is a fun player right now.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see what he could do for my Falcons in twenty twenty five.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: I will say I'm a little bit concerned with the down to down accuracy consistency from Penex right his games at the end of the year last year.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't like amazing and they were against three of the worst past defenses in the NFL and that's where Drake London really thrived.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: They will say Drake London's again.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: very, very high floor player, a very talented player.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just not sure I can make the case that he's like Nico Collins or Malik neighbors level of talent.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: So you're gonna be fine with him if he is your wide receiver one, but I do think there should be a little bit of hesitation here.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Vegas is also not very high on the Atlanta Falcons.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: We're a seven and a half win team.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: So just to put that in perspective, what they're really expecting from us overall.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Drake London, it's AJ Brown, it's Lad McConkey and it's Terry McCleuron.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think they all have their shortcomings, you know, you have AJ Brown who is an extremely run heavy offense.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I, you know, tweeted out this stat a few weeks ago that the Eagles last year, their pass rate, just a percentage of their plays that were passes the lowest rate of any single team since the two thousand and nine jets.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And everybody likes to like have regression positive regression were progression all this all that all the other things yeah just because it won't be the lowest of the last fifteen years is not mean it won't be really really really really low still so I've concerns about how much passing volume is actually available in this offense overall and if they don't have that then I don't see where
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: the AJ Brown ceiling can really come from if they continue to decide to give, say, one, Barclay, twenty, five, thirty touches per game.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Vladimir Conkey, there's not a lot of holes in this, like I think second half of the year break out.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: He was like incredible.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: He was averaging a ton of targets as ton of receiving yards was just very involved in every aspect of the field.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: I do think this is going to be an extremely run heavy offense again.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where like the ceiling kind of gets cap for a dude like Vladimir Conkey.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: I also think there's something that needs to be said for there's injury concern.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: Lad didn't get injured last year, but he has a long list of injuries dating back to college.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: And it's something that like, you know, we love to say guys are injury prone or like this guy's do for an injury, whatever, because they have that sample size of getting injured in the NFL.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_00]: But when a rookie comes in, stays healthy, we kind of just like forget everything about the injury history in college.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that's actually what happened with like Puka, right?
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like Puka was a guy who is injured in college often.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: Frequently, right, rookie year, had a huge rookie year.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then we kind of forget all about the injury history.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then it gets injured second year.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like something that I don't think you can forget about.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: But regardless, the Charger's offense, I still think it's going to really, really heavily be dictated by the ground game.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: They draft them, aren't hinting in the first round.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: They bring in Najee Harris.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to try to be as run heavy as they possibly can while still having success there.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess my question is like, how many targets can we really expect for lad McConkey?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Again, though, like if he's my wife or she or one, in full PPR, I'll feel okay about that.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'll feel fine about that.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with Terramaclorn.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people are diving into the numbers and really, really like bending over backwards to talk about why Terramaclorn's like not a great pick this year.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's as simple as like Jaden Daniels.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: You finally got a really good quarterback coming into your two great D-passer.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: Really matches with Terramaclorn's strengths here.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: So like I'm trying not to overthink Terri.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's a top twelve guy for me.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Moving into tier four and before we do so just let y'all know our draft guide that we make every single summer we'll be going live on August first but we will have preorder pricing really really heavily discounted promotions going live within the next few days so if you want to be notified when we do go live with that if you want to get it out it's absolute cheapest price again the draft guide has
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: All of our rankings, regardless of what type of league scoring or settings that you're in, are must draft players, are list of players that we're fading, plus a bunch of other tools and stuff that will be really, really, really useful for you guys.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's a link right down below.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be the first thing in the show notes that I'll say, like, pre-order draft guide discount, whatever.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: Put your email in that for you to do that, obviously.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: We will just notify you when that really heavily discounted draft guide pricing goes live later this week.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: Tier four, this is a group of six guys.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: These are the best wide receiver twos available.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: However, if you are fading the wide receiver position up to this point, I'm a little bit nervous about having these guys as my wide receiver one.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I would not suggest fading the wide receiver position up to the point where these are your ones.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: And that is, JSN, T-Higgins, Mike Evans, Rashi Rice, Devonta Adams, and Garrett Wilson.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: JSN's a very, very high floor player.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: I do think there's a little bit of systemic risk here, just being in the Seattle passing offense.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what to expect from them there.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll get a ton of targets with Lockhead and DK Meckhead, obviously out of the situation with Cooper Cup coming in.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm imagining they're going to play him in the slot a lot.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: Although the way that that offense runs, it could be a lot of both guys in the slot and a lot of bunch formations where no one's really like an outside perimeter receiver.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I will say though, a little bit more skeptical of JSN if he needs to play purely outside while Cooper Cup is running the slot.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: Teagan's is just a perennial wide receiver too.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: I know he put up wide receiver one numbers last year, and the Cincinnati offense is set up to smash, but I think historically, Teagan's is the wide receiver too.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: So if he has a little bit less touchdown luck than he did last year, or read like three touchdowns in a game, he will finish as like a top-fifteen guy, which is around where I have him.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Evans, I think you start to need to factor in the age plus you add in another first round wide receiver in a mecca buca.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of Mike Evans numbers last year.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_00]: Let's be honest here.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Came when Chris Godwin is finally out.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Mike Evans is good.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's great still.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I still think if Godwin is healthy, if a mechabuka is an impact player, like I think he's going to be, then Evans is sealing is just not there to go far surpassing the thousand yard mark.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like maybe he goes at thousand for seven.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: And again, that's like top fifteen numbers, but doesn't need to be your wide receiver one in fantasy football.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: Rossi Rice is probably the biggest enigma in this tier.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: If he's fully healthy, like yeah, he's a top ten guy for sure.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: The only problem with Rossi Rice is while everyone's saying he is fully healthy and he's like a full go, we don't have a lot of history of this specific injury and what type of impact it has with your play on the field, right?
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like there are injuries where the return to playing is short.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't take as long to get back to the field, but we don't actually know what the impact is, right?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw someone tweet a similar thread to this the other day that I thought was interesting.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was spot on where it's like in a killies tear, right?
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: If you have an Achilles tear, you might be able to get back onto the field in eight or nine months.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: So the recovery time table might not be that long anymore, but the impact of how explosive you are as a player
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: is still minimized relative to maybe the ACL, where it like the ACL tear might take you eight, nine, ten months, but you're probably back up to speed relatively quickly, performance wise as soon as you get onto the field.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: And with Rashi Rice's injury, which was a PCL tear, we just don't have a sample size of receivers coming back from that injury.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not saying he can't, and I'm not saying that I know whether or not
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: the impact is going to be there.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it does present some risk that we just don't know about.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: So with Rochie Rice, you do have Xavier Worthy who had a breakout last year.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: You do have Hollywood Brown who they've resigned for another year.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Rochie Rice's range of outcomes is very, very, very, very, very wide.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, he's the strongest of the wide receiver too is that you could find.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Alongside Devante Adams love his fit in the Rams offense could be a very, very high touchdown scoring guy.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think last year he was very good on the jets when Rogers was actually connecting with him.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Garrett Wilson, the other New York jet who will be the one there on Game Green, Justin Fields coming in former college teammates, all that kind of stuff.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: I just think Garrett Wilson is not a guy that I want to rely on as my wife is here for one talent.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Why is he
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's very, very good.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's as good as the guys in the tier above him.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: I just worry about this offense being super, super run heavy, not scoring a ton of touchdowns.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think Justin Fields is passing lines per bed MGM.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, twenty four, fifty passing yards and fourteen and a half passing touchdowns.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: So like, I'm trying to be reasonable with this.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: I know Garrett Wilson might get a hundred and seventy five targets and catch a hundred and ten, a hundred twenty, you know,
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Passes this year, so full PPR he obviously gets a nice fat boost, but anything half PPR I think like that becomes a little bit too touchdown dependent for a guy like Garrett Wilson for me to want to really go all in on him.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Tier five, weird tier.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even really know how to label this.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's literally just two guys.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's Cortland Sutton and it is Tyreek Hill.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't feel strongly enough to put them in the tear above, but I think I like them way more than the guys in the tear below.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's really the only way I can describe it.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: I would say like I feel good.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: I feel good about them being my wide receiver too, but I recognize the risks.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I think if you can get them as your wide receiver three, you're feeling
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: very, very, very good.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, Portland Sutton, again, I think once Bob Nick's figured out the offense weeks eight through eighteen last year, Sutton was a top ten fantasy wide receiver, Bob Nick's was a top six or seven fantasy quarterback, second year in Sean Peyton system for Bob Nick's, like, I only think there's upwards to go for this entire Denver team.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I think they'll be even more of a well-oiled machine.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Tariq Hill, I think there are a ton of risks around Miami and Tua and everyone wants to be like, it's Tariq Hill, the talent and he'll obviously bounce back.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think there are a ton of concerns there.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: the way that defenses play them, I think, to a, and his ability to not throw the ball deep anymore, because of the way that defenses play him, you know, at towards December, January, when the weather gets cold, there are always concerns with how he plays.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: So I think the risks are there, but as a top twenty guy like Tyree Kelly can get behind that pricing.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: Moving into tier six.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: This is a fat tier here.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is ten guys.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys that I think you're swinging for some upside as your wide receiver too, but very, very risky.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think I like them a thousand times more as my wide receiver three.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think the way that drafts are kind of shaping up
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: uh... i i don't feel great about having these guys as my whiter cver two so i would implore all if you are drafting especially for people are to be looking at other options as your whiter cver two get to whiter cvers before you get to this tier of players and it is a group of ten as i already said it's marvin arson junior it is davanta smith is dj more calvin ridley george pickin zaflower's christ godwin dk mk fjwan jenning chakoby mire's and jamison Williams now
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, this tier is just littered with different types of players in high-passing situations like George Pickins and Dallas, but he's the wider receiver too.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: You have unsure offenses and unsure like upside with a guy like Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: You have just really safe floor players like Jacobi Myers.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: You have boomer bus upside players like at Jamison Williams.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Vante Smith, kind of the same problem that I see with AJ Brown, they're just not a pass heavy offense, which really limits the ceiling with Marvin Harris and Jr.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: I have real concerns about Drew Petzing being able to use him properly.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: Like obviously the talent is there, and I'd like to predict the sophomore breakout here, but I don't feel confident that they're gonna use him correctly after what we saw in year one.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: It still might be Tramic Bride leading this team in Turgus.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: We'd DJ Moore, you obviously have a lot of new faces, new personnel, Ben Johnson coming in for Chicago.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: They do lose Keenan Allen.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: They bring in Luther, Bernie, and Colson, Lovelin, but DJ Moore realistically has done nothing, but be the Widerceaver one in every single offense that he's been in.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And Betham, GM lines, man, they got his receiving yardage all the way at ten, fifty, which is amongst some of the best Widercevers in all of Vegas lines this year.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it is important not to fade DJ Moore too dramatically based on everything that he's done throughout his career so far.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: Calvin Ridley gets a new gunslinger in Cam Ward coming into the offense.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Calvin Ridley's a guy that's gone back to back thousand yard seasons.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're kind of fading him as a community just because he didn't live up to the ADP, but now you don't have to pay that price anymore.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I love Ridley as a sixth seventh round pick as my wife, she read three.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Pickins, I think there's a world where the only thing that goes right for Dallas this year is statistics in their passing offense, and they might have to throw the ball six hundred times, which will obviously lead to CD Lamb George Pickins getting a million billion targets, Z-flowers.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably better real life player than an actual fantasy player, but he is kind of the manufactured touch guy in this passing offense that Lamar Jackson should end up, you know, leading to another thirty five passing touchdown season.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: If some of the touchdowns break right towards a flowers, he could be a return on investment pick in fantasy Chris Godwin.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Anyone's kind of guess us to how the season plays out for him.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's probably a nine fifty the thousand yard receiving guy.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Seventy catches six to eight touchdowns, which is exactly what you want from your wide receiver three.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_00]: He is coming back from another serious lower body injury had the ACL tear a bunch of years ago.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's got the serious lower body injury happening last.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: And again, you add in the fact that you got Mike Evans there.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: You got a mechabuka coming in as a first round pick.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: It does get a little bit dicey in terms of the target share.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want anyone to overemphasize like what he did the first seven weeks.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: The last year is amazing, but we also have a sample size of Chris goblin going back five years prior to that of what he really is and that's you know, a wide receiver two three in fantasy.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_00]: So we like got one, but I think there are real risks here.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: DK Mechab kind of the only guy in Pittsburgh there.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: He should get a huge target share, but this is going to be
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: Very, very, very run heavy offense out here in Pittsburgh and Arthur Smith just does not feed his wide receiver ones to the point where they could be super, super fancy relevant.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, I like DK Mekass floor.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: Joanne Jennings, I think is a guy that's been a lead for a long time.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: We obviously saw a phenomenal stretch from him last year.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: When most of their weapons were out, right, CMAC was out, Brandon and I, you got her, Debo Samuel became too thick to actually be productive there, Ricky Pierce saw him this time.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: So it was like, everything kind of broke right for Joanne Jennings, but at the same time, him and Perti had real chemistry and he looked really good.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm having a hard time, you know, looking at the numbers and saying like, how do we make a narrative for Joanne Jennings is not good this year?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: Debo Samuel is out, Brandon and I, you is likely going to start the year on the pup, which is why he's not in this tier.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, Joanne could start out as the Y.C.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: for one immediately in San Francisco in an offense that Vegas is projecting a really, really strong bounce back for.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: So I like Joanne.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: I like to Kobe Myers as well.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: You get the quarterback upgrade in Gino Smith and he was already a good receiver for them last year in fantasy.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Went over a thousand yards, great Y.C.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: for three.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: James and Williams really had his first yet full year where he was playing the full year.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Went over a thousand yards.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: This is, well, everybody is talking about how Detroit's going to take a step back because they don't want to bend Johnson anymore.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: no more frank rag now I will bring up the point that like this is what everybody said for Philadelphia last year when they lost Jason Kelsey like oh Jason Kelsey the splits without Jason Kelsey are horrifying here they were fine well I think not having frank rag now will impact them like I don't want to overemphasize the fact that their personnel outside of him is still fucking incredible and I still think they're gonna be very very very very good team and a very good offense
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: Let's not forget that James and Williams was the twelfth pick in the NFL draft a couple of years ago and had he had the year this year or this previous year that like two years ago we'd be really really high on James and Williams but because he had all these like random things kind of break wrong and he got unlucky the first couple of years you know suspension whatever the case may be we're looking at him a little bit differently but the talent is very very clearly there
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that wraps up tier six.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: When we jump into tier seven, this is another fat tier.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say overall just for the like the theme of wide receivers this year as I look all the way into tier eight.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: So we have tier seven, which is another eleven players tier eights like eight guys after that.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: There are legit fifty two players that I feel good about at the wide receiver position this year.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously there are levels to it where like some guys I feel better.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: about as my wide receiver two versus my three versus having them in a flex spot.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I think all the way down through wide receiver fifty two, which is through my tier eight.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like pretty phenomenal about having any of these guys in my starting line.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: And if I have two legit wide receiver twos that were right inside my top twenty, and then my wide receiver three plus my flex one flex two are a mixture of these guys in tier six tier seven and tier eight.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're building a very, very strong team.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: The wide receiver position
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: the depth this year in fantasy.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not someone who says that every single year, this year feels like incredibly deep.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll jump quickly into tier seven.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know I said my top thirty six, but we're going to go into my top forty three.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: And again, if you want to see tier eight to your nine, those guys that you're getting a little bit later into drafts, you'll have to get that in
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: the draft guide, which if you want a very, very heavily discounted price on that, or you want one of our partner promotions that gets it for an even cheaper price.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: Go drop your email in the email list down below, first link in the show notes.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: We got tier seven and that is Jerry Judy, Jalen Waddle, Josh Downs, Jordan Addison, Xavier Worthy, Teterrow McMillan, Darnell Mooney, Stephon Diggs, Chris Alave, Roma Dunze, Brandon Iyuk, and Khalil Shakir.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: So with any of these guys, in my opinion, if you're relying on them as your wide receiver three, it's a little bit nerve-racking.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think they all have pretty clear flaws into who they are or what their situation is.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if you have these guys as your flex play, they're going to be permanent upside flexes for the entire year.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I feel phenomenal about a guy like Jason Wattel in my flex, although I feel weird about him as my wide receiver two or three because I don't really trust in Miami situation in terms of them prioritizing him.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Johnny Smith being out of the way obviously kind of boosts his floor a little bit and probably boosts his involvement in the offense, but I think all of these guys have flaws.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like Jordan Addison, we're looking at, okay, what is James McCarthy?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Jordan Addison going to be suspended for the beginning of the year for the first game two games, three games.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: Xavier Worthy, what does he look like?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: What does his involvement look like when Rashi Rice is healthy, when Hollywood Brown is healthy?
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: Teterol McMillan, like, yeah, he's a rookie.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: And he's a rookie, and we also don't know what Bryce Young is.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: He looked good over the second half of the year, but is he good enough to sustain a top twenty four fantasy watershed.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry Judy, the quarterback situations up in the air, same thing with Josh Downs, like all of these guys are very, very talented.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: Most of them are more like situation based being into your seven as opposed to tier six.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: Step on days coming off of the ACL tier, Chris Alave coming off the concussion concerns with quarterback concerns.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: You have Roma Dunzey,
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't have a great rookie season.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: We also don't know what to make of Caleb Williams and this Chicago Bears offense, but we do like the situation enough that even a bad rookie year.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm very, very willing to bet on a dude like Roman Dunes.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: They're having a break out year two.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: Brandon, you could be put on the public, Cleals Shakir, love the situation.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's a dude where again, tier seven, just because I named Jerry Uder, Jalen Waddle up above a dude like Cleals Shakir.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: These aren't necessarily like side by side rankings.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: really excited about taking this guy over that guy.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're all in this tier based on the way I feel about these players.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, a little bit risky as your wide receiver three, but I feel great about them being a permanent flex all year for you.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you could say Clealsha Kears, the wide receiver, forty three, but if you told me he was the wide receiver, thirty two in my rankings, I'm cool with that too, because this is the tier where they all feel the same to me.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I think you could build a roster where if any of these guys out your wide receiver three, you could be fine because you probably peppered other spots to your roster.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: But if they're not your wide receiver three, if you already have three wide receivers filling out your roster, and these guys out your flex are going to feel fucking phenomenal.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: So those are forty three wide receivers for the twenty twenty five fantasy football season that I think you could litter your line up with and have a very, very, very strong team.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: based on the tiers that I have broken up for you.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: Again, if you want to see tier eight to your nine to your ten, those will be available in the draft guide.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: Goes live August first, but if you order it at pre order pricing, which goes live in a couple days, I can notify you via email if you sign up to the list down below.
