- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck ya!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guess will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: I have you, babe, we made it.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: We made it to the end of March, we're here, we did it, hopefully you celebrated your wins along the way and hopefully you sent them in because that's what this episode's about.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: We can't let you share your wins, some inspiration.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_01]: This inspiration, this is beautiful.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: This is like, I saw this.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: I cry when I read it, I cried when I shared it to Brad because I was like, I have to share this bread and then I'm gonna cry probably reading it to you but I just think that like, we need to know that there's good people doing good things out there in the world and like, we're doing what they can.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think,
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's really important thing.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: And being a till we see it and helping out the people around us and helping out human kind.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: We have to remember that it feels like a big problem if we try to do it all by ourselves.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: But if we just do what we can and everyone's doing what they can, it all adds up.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: It changes the world.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: It really, really does.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking about yoga teacher this morning before I started recording these.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I had convinced someone in my world to change, you know, how they are voting.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they were able to see the hypocrisy and things like that and like it can feel like so like like it's one person, but it's also one person if we all do it, check this out.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_01]: Anyways, this is inspiration.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: So this is from Shady, underscore it and basically compile collections of kind stories.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: So this is not their story, but the story that they compiled.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: So it's that the person says, I work at pedal and stems a flower shop downtown.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: My daughter, she's sick, cancer, she's dying, maybe a week left, and she loves yellow.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: Can you start crying right there in front of the daisies?
- 2:13[SPEAKER_01]: I made him tea.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_01]: What's your name?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: Emma, we bring your flowers every day at the hospital.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's the only thing that still makes her smile.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: After he left, I called every flower shop in the city.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: 12 shops.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: Told them about Emma.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: The next morning, I drove to the hospital with my car full of yellow flowers.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: When I got there, 11 other floors were already waiting.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: The ends lined up, arms full of yellow.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: We filled Emma's room, every surface, the window sill, the floor, the nurse's station, the hallway, yellow, everywhere.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Emma, open her eyes and smile.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's a yellow garden, like heaven.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, all 12 Flores sat in the hospital room, just being there, one brought a good tar, another red Emma story.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: Emma died three days later, surrounded by yellow flowers and strangers who loved her anyway.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: At her funeral, every Flores donated arrangements, her dad told everyone about the day the flower shops came.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: Emma thought she was in heaven already.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_01]: She was right.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, all that, I'm gonna get set.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now, every year on Emma's birthday, all 12 shops close for an hour, we bring yellow roses to the pediatric ICU.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: So the rooms, so with the families, we call Emma's garden.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I can't, but like, how cool.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: So like,
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: don't ever underestimate the power of what you can do, you know, like just just being kind and thoughtful.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: It took a phone call and now they get together every year and they do this.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, ooh, beautiful stuff.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm smiling and crying because I just picture how wonderful it is for that little girl that she got to bring that and then all the kids would get to because of her love for them.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: So now have to deal with your wins.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: What a great transition.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: Here we go.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: My wins just launched my second chemical-free beauty product, and one of my favorite stores is taking it on.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: Also, braved the sauna and sea session, fucking cold, especially on the feet.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, aha, but I had the best night sleep ever trying to film my cup as I'm hosting event next weekend trying to stay grounded.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone else could still get anxious over hosting events?
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: always because you care because if you care you're going to get a little anxious and then Gay Hendrix just says if you exhale and inhale correctly that anxiety will turn into excitement.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: So just a little tip for you.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you be more Betty.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for sharing your wins.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: Way to take action and also way to go get cotton cold.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that is a thing I want to do someday in that like actual ocean, not just my cold plunge.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: I do my cold plunge.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: But also, you know, we'll get there.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get there.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, my win.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm almost on my second honeymoon, actually.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: So Brad and I are in Belgium right now.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: Teaching is really quite fun.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: I've never taught here before.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: So it's really fun to be amongst friends.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's a couple of years in the making, making this happen.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just really beautiful.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if we had a great trip on our way getting over here.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: But Brad and I are taking our second honeymoon, which happens to be 10 years, almost to the date of our first honeymoon, but another winning.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: pack into this.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, I know longer.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to like go back and forth your up like I I do it once and I'm just going to be there for a month that I'm just going to do it.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: And so we pack this trip in Poland, then Belgium, then our little break and then we're ending the trip in London for beauty London.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so there's a few wins in there and just like it took a lot of planning took a lot of coordinating with lots of different people and putting ourself out there and all these things, but we did it.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to enjoy a week and a half just celebrating what we've done the last 10 years and all the work that we've been doing together in the last almost six years that we've been just working together full time and it's also because of all the things that you love and the things that you say you do so this this trip is like a big celebration and we
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: It feels very communal because we way so appreciate the questions you send in.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_01]: OPC members feedback, agency members feedback, elevate members feedback because it means that we get to grow in ourselves to make it better for you.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: And we get to we get to go work in Europe for a month.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then allow us to have a little week to ourselves to explore our country.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've never been to.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually going to see France.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: Holy moly.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's another win.
