- 1:45Speaker 2: How's the Friday been today?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Guys?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Oh wait, what was that?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Your right? I said? Ha's the Friday, and that's all
- 1:49Speaker 2: you had to say. App yeahah right.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Why well it's been tough you guys first full week.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah you get still together.
- 2:02Speaker 3: I'm exactly No, I meant us working. Oh I see,
- 2:05Speaker 3: and apparently yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 2: You are good. He can tolerate you for that much longer.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You can't know we're fine. I mean, that's three weeks
- 2:12Speaker 3: tomorrow already.
- 2:13Speaker 2: If you can believe it, let's worried about that relationship?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Then this one? Is it really already three weeks? Can
- 2:20Speaker 2: you believe it?
- 2:21Speaker 3: No?
- 2:21Speaker 5: No?
- 2:22Speaker 6: Really?
- 2:22Speaker 3: No?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Wait one two?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Tomorrow is the third week.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Our third week, third week anniversary?
- 2:30Speaker 7: This?
- 2:31Speaker 2: Huh?
- 2:31Speaker 3: How about that wedding April April twenty fifth, Yeah, dude,
- 2:35Speaker 3: it's May ninth tomorrow was Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 2: That's two weeks, yes, two weeks. It's three saturdays, but
- 2:43Speaker 2: it's two weeks. It's the third Saturday it was the wedding. Yeah,
- 2:48Speaker 2: you want it to be so much longer already? Does
- 2:50Speaker 2: it already feel like three weeks? Is that what you're saying? Oh,
- 2:52Speaker 2: that's what it is. Yesterday, That's exactly what you have
- 2:57Speaker 2: to say. I feel like just yesterday so fresh, it's
- 3:00Speaker 2: like new Flowers.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Well, the beautiful thing is we already had twelve years
- 3:03Speaker 3: in Yeah, yeah, you know that's what's.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Kind of weird about it. You guys are so together
- 3:06Speaker 2: so long. I almost it's almost like that Kurt Russell
- 3:08Speaker 2: Goldie Honting. You're like, why even do it? You've been
- 3:11Speaker 2: together so long now, it's almost like your common law.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And if Florida had that, you would be right. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: don't know, seven years, I think. I think it's longer
- 3:18Speaker 2: than that. But either way, I don't believe that Florida
- 3:20Speaker 2: does have common law. No, they don't have it anymore.
- 3:22Speaker 2: But I remember I believe because we used to talk
- 3:24Speaker 2: about this on the Monsters quite a bit, that common
- 3:26Speaker 2: law in Florida. Look at this Ubjack you if you
- 3:29Speaker 2: don't mind her somebody, I don't care if you can
- 3:30Speaker 2: text me, but I thought common law, if you lived
- 3:33Speaker 2: together for seven years, that you were like considered common
- 3:37Speaker 2: law married.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Well, I mean, part of the reason why we decided
- 3:40Speaker 3: to do it was because, of course it does deepen
- 3:43Speaker 3: your bond, right, it's the next step tax purposes and
- 3:47Speaker 3: health reasons. Yeah, I mean I would have no legal right,
- 3:51Speaker 3: nor would he to me with something.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That happened, which is bananas.
- 3:55Speaker 4: It is bananas.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And to think that in just a matter of minutes,
- 3:59Speaker 3: everything that you thought you had a right to and
- 4:02Speaker 3: a right to have an opinion about, all of a
- 4:04Speaker 3: sudden legally you have nothing.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Those cases are some of the most horrifying Yes, in
- 4:09Speaker 2: the legal world alone, you know, plus I love them.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Yeah, January one, nineteen sixty eight. Oh, that's when it ended.
- 4:17Speaker 2: When it ended, Yeah, every common law marriage in Florida.
- 4:20Speaker 2: And how many years was? Wow? It was it seven
- 4:23Speaker 2: or ten?
- 4:26Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a certain length. And I remember we
- 4:29Speaker 2: used to talk about this quite often because people used
- 4:31Speaker 2: to say, well, you're common all marriage, right exactly, that's
- 4:33Speaker 2: an And I think one of our attorney friends back
- 4:36Speaker 2: in the day said, I don't think they do that anymore,
- 4:38Speaker 2: and then we got told definitely, it does not happen anymore,
- 4:41Speaker 2: all right. Four seven nine one six four one text
- 4:43Speaker 2: tests seven seven zero three one. I have to ask, Okay, So,
- 4:47Speaker 2: for people who do not know Dev's husband, Chris is
- 4:51Speaker 2: a gigantic wrestling fan. As a matter of fact, two
- 4:53Speaker 2: of the best men at his at the wedding were
- 4:56Speaker 2: that are in the world of the WWE yeah. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 2: are his best man.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Specifically, he's Byron Saxton for those who watch Monday Night
- 5:04Speaker 3: Wrong right.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yeah. So with that said, I wanted to ask, has
- 5:06Speaker 2: Chris watched this Hogan documentary that's out there.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It's funny you talk about that, because we he has.
- 5:12Speaker 3: He's watched like the first two episodes of it. Yeah,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and he talked about, you know, how important it was
- 5:17Speaker 3: to watch it because of course he's a little bit
- 5:20Speaker 3: younger than me, so he was a child during the
- 5:23Speaker 3: you know, the height of the Hulk Hogan, right, so
- 5:25Speaker 3: to kind of see what that legacy, how it lives on.
- 5:29Speaker 4: So it's been an interesting watch.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, how many? How many?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Totally it's four I believe, so he's only two wins.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I finished it last night. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
- 5:37Speaker 2: because I talked about the first couple episodes you shouldn't
- 5:40Speaker 2: read a book. Yeah yeah, and I would hit and
- 5:43Speaker 2: I and I finished it last night. And I have
- 5:45Speaker 2: to tell you, man, if you haven't watched the Hulk
- 5:47Speaker 2: Cogan documentary, it's a Netflix production, I believe. Yeah, man,
- 5:51Speaker 2: oh man, oh, he's goodding it. It's good for the
- 5:57Speaker 2: wrong reason. It tells a very sad story. Very well.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So it's good for the wrong reason. You watch it
- 6:04Speaker 2: and you see a guy that, at one point, like
- 6:06Speaker 2: they said at the dock, was the most recognizable human
- 6:10Speaker 2: being on planet Earth. And I don't know that you
- 6:12Speaker 2: make a whole bunch of arguments, like other than the
- 6:14Speaker 2: Pope and a couple other people, maybe Michael Jackson. I mean,
- 6:17Speaker 2: this cat was. I mean, and again he had a
- 6:20Speaker 2: giant advantage, you know, six seven, three hundred pounds, you know,
- 6:23Speaker 2: tan you sculle it the whole nine yards, and you know,
- 6:26Speaker 2: he was very easy to spot. But man, oh man,
- 6:29Speaker 2: what a tragic story this guy had. It was. It
- 6:33Speaker 2: was man, the shame involved toward the end of that
- 6:37Speaker 2: thing was just overwhelming. I told my wife, I said,
- 6:40Speaker 2: I have a hard time watching this because of that
- 6:43Speaker 2: projected shame you can get, or that embarrassment when you
- 6:46Speaker 2: see somebody you know, getting embarrassed and you and you
- 6:49Speaker 2: feel so bad for them, it almost affects you. That's
- 6:52Speaker 2: kind of how that last episode was.
- 6:54Speaker 3: The opposite of Scheidenfreud, right.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, you don't want and I you know,
- 6:58Speaker 2: in the end, not a sympathetic character. A bunch of
- 7:02Speaker 2: the stuff that he did as Terry Blea as he
- 7:04Speaker 2: tries to kind of drive a wall between those two people.
- 7:07Speaker 2: You know, man, it just it's man, I don't know.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's hard. It's hard. It's hard to consume. And I'll
- 7:14Speaker 2: tell you why it sucks, because you don't want that
- 7:17Speaker 2: part of his life to overwhelm the part of his
- 7:19Speaker 2: life that changed people's lives. Because until all this stuff
- 7:22Speaker 2: sorted happening, primarily the sex tape is what really began
- 7:25Speaker 2: the downturn.
- 7:27Speaker 3: But with that, I have you seen it, I understand.
- 7:30Speaker 3: But what I'm saying is you have no idea how
- 7:32Speaker 3: lazy someone can be. Literally, that's he put me to sleep.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And then the guy's done, and what does he do?
- 7:39Speaker 3: He sits and sits up and asks if the shirt
- 7:41Speaker 3: makes him look fat.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I've wondered that. Didn't he apologize? Yes, because it happened
- 7:47Speaker 2: too quickly, and he said he ate too much. I mean,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm sorry, too much spaghetti. It hurt my hope. Tommy
- 7:57Speaker 2: Lee born with no hands. Yeah, it's way different than
- 8:02Speaker 2: Tommy experienced. Yeah, from a girl's perspective, way different.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I mean you felt like apologizing to her as well, just.
- 8:08Speaker 2: For watching you. God, oh mighty I'm sorry, sister. Yeah,
- 8:12Speaker 2: well I'm sorry too. Too many buckle U can't get
- 8:16Speaker 2: those three seconds back?
- 8:19Speaker 3: Does this shirt make me look both? Well no, but.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You can still finish. You can still finish the evening news.
- 8:26Speaker 2: We have plenty of time. Sports ain't even hit yet exactly.
- 8:30Speaker 4: That's not the bathroom break.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But look, man, even if you're not a fan of wrestling,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I still think it is one of those those cautionary
- 8:37Speaker 2: tales of life that you know, just show you that
- 8:40Speaker 2: regardless of what heights you get, you still have to
- 8:43Speaker 2: maintain yourself to kind of continue that legacy through And boy, man,
- 8:48Speaker 2: you just let the wrong people near him. That's all
- 8:50Speaker 2: it is, and it really is. Should take a page.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It's another cautionary tale of the people you should let
- 8:55Speaker 2: near you. And oddly, yeah, yeah, well don't even name really, yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 2: they don't mention his name. But I will tell you
- 9:03Speaker 2: that the weirdest part of it, and for anybody who
- 9:05Speaker 2: knows about Hulk or whatever, the guy that was his
- 9:08Speaker 2: right hand man was Jimmy the Jimmy Hart Mouth of
- 9:11Speaker 2: the South, Jimmy Hart. And I'll tell you it's weird
- 9:13Speaker 2: because we've known them for a very long time we
- 9:16Speaker 2: met Jimmy a bunch, actually way more than Hulk. And
- 9:18Speaker 2: Jimmy is Jimmy. Like when you meet Jimmy on the
- 9:20Speaker 2: street he has that suit on, you get the feeling
- 9:23Speaker 2: like that's what he wears to bed, Like those crazy
- 9:26Speaker 2: suits with all the sequins and the airbrushing. That's who
- 9:29Speaker 2: he is. And he's a great He really is a
- 9:31Speaker 2: super cool guy. But what you realize is is like
- 9:35Speaker 2: that guy really was his only actual friend. Yeah, it
- 9:39Speaker 2: was his only real confidant. And you don't get the
- 9:41Speaker 2: feeling that Hulk gave him credit for it, But that
- 9:44Speaker 2: guy was destroyed more than anybody, and it really was
- 9:47Speaker 2: a shame that he never got the respector due for
- 9:50Speaker 2: being just kind of a clown that walked around with Hulk,
- 9:52Speaker 2: but in reality, he was the guy's entire support system. Yeah,
- 9:57Speaker 2: crazy Jimmy Hart's gonna be one of our guests at
- 10:00Speaker 2: the Monster event in Mount Dora on June fifth, all
- 10:04Speaker 2: part of the Monster universe. Wow. Really, Yeah, Jimmy's a
- 10:07Speaker 2: great you know he And and again I think Russ
- 10:09Speaker 2: has had a good relationship with Jimmy for quite a
- 10:11Speaker 2: while because I think Jimmy is the one who ran
- 10:13Speaker 2: the store full hold you know when they did the
- 10:17Speaker 2: store or did the thing over there daytime, right right.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I think he was kind of I think he was
- 10:20Speaker 2: kind of the face of that. By the way, I
- 10:22Speaker 2: need to have a conversation with the event planner for
- 10:25Speaker 2: the City of Mount Dora because Russ's Monster event inviting
- 10:29Speaker 2: everyone from the Monster universe. I saw the list. I
- 10:32Speaker 2: think we're at about fifty people right now. Yeah, just
- 10:35Speaker 2: just that used to be an affiliated with the show
- 10:38Speaker 2: one my weekend in one way, shape or another. Yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 2: I mean the quote lobby party is going to be
- 10:44Speaker 2: turning into the main event.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, which is so funny because yesterday, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 3: the event coordinator says to me in the kitchen, Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 3: I just email Jackie's getting his his driveway pressure watched.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I'm like, you know more about my bosses like that.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I had to go to work to find this stuff,
- 10:59Speaker 3: all right?
- 11:00Speaker 2: Four seven text A seven seven Are you guys dating
- 11:04Speaker 2: on the side? Zero three one? Like I said, we're
- 11:07Speaker 2: gonna talk to Deander. Her mom is the one who
- 11:08Speaker 2: had her driveway stolen. What a story, right, hey, look
- 11:11Speaker 2: at a driveway? Well they get ja barbecue your TV
- 11:13Speaker 2: now a player. They took my driveway.
- 11:16Speaker 4: And that's not cheap. It's not that is not cheap.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Found another show again. I've told you guys, my wife
- 11:21Speaker 2: is the absolute dream world TV watcher. She brings up
- 11:24Speaker 2: whatever is on the screen, she clicks on it, and
- 11:27Speaker 2: she clicked on a banger last night. It was and
- 11:30Speaker 2: it's a game show kind of reality show.
- 11:32Speaker 9: You know.
- 11:32Speaker 2: It's kind of one of those things that excuse me
- 11:35Speaker 2: your hear it's got caught up in Is that the
- 11:37Speaker 2: two words that are mister and beast? No, it does not. Okay, good,
- 11:41Speaker 2: it has the words a million in secret in there,
- 11:46Speaker 2: and I'll tell you a little bit about that a
- 11:47Speaker 2: little bit later. Living next to an Airbnb, Jamie Presley
- 11:51Speaker 2: makes a life decision that a lot of people in
- 11:54Speaker 2: Hollywood are making. They're actually calling this service like the
- 11:57Speaker 2: new Hollywood four oh one K. So we got a
- 12:00Speaker 2: talk about today? What do you got for news, Debb?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Well, for news, we're going to talk about a Delta
- 12:03Speaker 3: employee unfortunately dying at Orlando International Airport. Also, a canvas
- 12:08Speaker 3: breach is affecting not just the school's nationwide, but local
- 12:12Speaker 3: students as well. And the priciest home listed in the
- 12:16Speaker 3: US is found here. No, it's not Jimmy's house. It's
- 12:20Speaker 3: a different house. But we'll talk about where that is
- 12:22Speaker 3: and more coming up next during JCS news.
- 12:24Speaker 2: All right, guys, don't forget fun. Fun, that is your
- 12:27Speaker 2: three o'clock keyword. Slide over to real radio out of
- 12:29Speaker 2: him and send that away for your chance at one
- 12:31Speaker 2: thousand dollars back in a second, dev's News and more
- 12:34Speaker 2: than Jim Colbert Shows day put.
- 12:43Speaker 10: My wife and I were together ten years before she
- 12:48Speaker 10: popped the question fussly during Happy Hour one night DM.
- 12:54Speaker 10: She goes, I'd like to formalize our arrangement. You need
- 12:58Speaker 10: to bring something other than your you know what to
- 13:01Speaker 10: the table. I was flabbergasted.
- 13:07Speaker 2: What's the what's the you know what? What's it? What's
- 13:10Speaker 2: what's the what's it? Dumb up? No magic? One fun,
- 13:18Speaker 2: Go to a real radio out of him and send
- 13:20Speaker 2: that away for your chance in one thousand bucks. A reminder,
- 13:22Speaker 2: if you're playing the game, you gotta keep your phone near,
- 13:24Speaker 2: turn it on and up, and answer it regardless of
- 13:27Speaker 2: what you see on the screen. Could be no caller,
- 13:30Speaker 2: I D could be a bunch of crazy things. Phone
- 13:32Speaker 2: number you do not recognize you have to pick it
- 13:35Speaker 2: up if you're in the game, because that's how they
- 13:37Speaker 2: tell you you've won. So again, your keyword is fun,
- 13:40Speaker 2: good luck. Three winners so far. Let's get seven seven
- 13:44Speaker 2: before we love that. Let's run it for sure. Welcome back.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I am Jim Jackson and his writer were there and
- 13:49Speaker 2: dead has your news. Let's get it.
- 13:52Speaker 1: It's time for JCS news.
- 13:56Speaker 11: Wow, that's this guy kind of push name on everything.
- 13:58Speaker 2: It's in my contract, dude.
- 14:00Speaker 1: There's news on the Jim Colberg Show.
- 14:02Speaker 3: And JCS News is brought to you by that mortgage guy.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Don give him a listen tomorrow morning when he's host
- 14:08Speaker 3: of the Home Loans radio show, and hang out with
- 14:11Speaker 3: him after your wedding.
- 14:12Speaker 4: It's a lot of fun. Yeah, yeah, all right.
- 14:14Speaker 3: A new case of hauntavirus has been found on an
- 14:17Speaker 3: island where a luxury cruise ship made a stop last month.
- 14:21Speaker 3: The MVY Hondias has seen a number of confirmed cases
- 14:24Speaker 3: of the virus, typically spread by rodents. UK officials said
- 14:28Speaker 3: today another suspected case has been detected on Tristan d'acuna,
- 14:32Speaker 3: a remote island in the South Atlantic. The World Health
- 14:35Speaker 3: Organization says five people from this ship have the virus well.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Three others are suspected of contracting it. Three people have died.
- 14:43Speaker 3: The newly discovered case on the island is a strain
- 14:46Speaker 3: that can be transmitted from human to human. Meanwhile, the
- 14:49Speaker 3: CDC is going to dispatch staffers to the Canary Islands
- 14:52Speaker 3: to escort American passengers off of that Haunt of virus
- 14:57Speaker 3: stricken cruise ship. According to reports from CNA and the CDC,
- 15:00Speaker 3: staffers are planning to escort the ship's American passengers back
- 15:04Speaker 3: to the US aboard a charter flight. One source also
- 15:08Speaker 3: said another team has been dispatched to meet those passengers
- 15:12Speaker 3: in Nebraska, where they are going to be escorted and
- 15:15Speaker 3: reportedly be placed in quarantine once they land to ensure
- 15:18Speaker 3: that the virus does not have a chance to spread.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you will not be meeting the captain on this flight.
- 15:23Speaker 4: No, you will not.
- 15:24Speaker 2: That guy will be sealed up in the front.
- 15:26Speaker 3: He's going to be in the first camster looking bubble
- 15:29Speaker 3: that they're just going to roll.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Yeah, dressing all right.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Unfortunately, there's an investigation at Orlando International Airport where a
- 15:39Speaker 3: Delta employee has died the cause of the worker's death
- 15:43Speaker 3: hasn't been disclosed, but earlier reports say the death occurred
- 15:46Speaker 3: after a tug hit a jet bridge. One flight was
- 15:50Speaker 3: canceled and operations were temporarily paused. Delta Airlines expressed condolences
- 15:55Speaker 3: and said it's providing support to the employee's family and
- 15:58Speaker 3: the Orlando team.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You know, when you guys are on planes, like when
- 16:02Speaker 2: you're out there, when you're at the airport, you're waiting
- 16:04Speaker 2: to borderm do you ever look out at what's happening
- 16:06Speaker 2: around the planes. And I'm gonna say this, I don't
- 16:10Speaker 2: mean to be insensitive, and trust me, I'm not. It
- 16:13Speaker 2: really is amazing there aren't more serious injuries around airports.
- 16:17Speaker 2: It looks absolutely terrifying down there. Man, there's stuff going everywhere.
- 16:23Speaker 2: You're going planes. It's crazy that the food tructure coming
- 16:27Speaker 2: I'm responsible for, you know, jet fuel. The other one
- 16:31Speaker 2: is responsible for getting poop poo off the plane. And
- 16:34Speaker 2: the whole time they're loading food and drinks, there's luggage.
- 16:37Speaker 3: So much happen down when that train that plane is
- 16:40Speaker 3: rolling to a stop, you gotta wave the light sticks
- 16:43Speaker 3: than the right man.
- 16:44Speaker 2: You have your head on a swivel when you're that's crazy.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I've never known anybody that's done that, that has worked
- 16:49Speaker 2: like on the ground in an airport like that, I've
- 16:51Speaker 2: never known that. I bet they're someone listening right now.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Yep, and we may know them all right.
- 16:56Speaker 3: A ransomware attack is not fully resolved, and it's still
- 17:00Speaker 3: paralyzing a major cloud based learning management platform called Canvas.
- 17:05Speaker 3: And again this is coming toward the end of the year.
- 17:07Speaker 3: We only have a couple more weeks left in the
- 17:09Speaker 3: schools that means final exams. So the platform is used
- 17:13Speaker 3: by eight thousand schools and universities nationwide and is impacting Broward, Brevard,
- 17:19Speaker 3: Orange County school districts as well as fiu UF and others.
- 17:24Speaker 7: I would imagine at this point there's a lot of
- 17:26Speaker 7: panic scrambling to look, is there any old backups we have?
- 17:29Speaker 7: Is there any other options we have? Is there any
- 17:31Speaker 7: bugs in this ransomware that maybe we could fix it ourselves?
- 17:34Speaker 7: So I'm sure right now it's all hands on deck.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Codred cybersecurity expert Alan Crowitz says students should not log
- 17:40Speaker 3: in on personal devices or click on anything. Luckily, Canvas's
- 17:44Speaker 3: parent company says there's no indication right now that passwords,
- 17:48Speaker 3: social security numbers, or financial information were compromised, but the
- 17:52Speaker 3: hackers are giving schools until Tuesday, May twelve to negotiate
- 17:57Speaker 3: a ransom deal before releasing the key to one's scramble
- 18:00Speaker 3: the data. Wow, all right, how many students are set
- 18:04Speaker 3: to graduate from the University of Central Florida this weekend?
- 18:08Speaker 2: By the way, the hackers, not only do we need
- 18:11Speaker 2: an elite squad, track them down whatever country they're in,
- 18:15Speaker 2: I don't care, no borders, no boundaries, been't stopping us.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And take them where Jack, before they go to Knucklehead Island.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You know what you do? You pinch their ear really hard,
- 18:26Speaker 2: their ear lobe that hurts minimum twenty years. Maybe the
- 18:29Speaker 2: back that you pinch the back of their arm, Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 2: or you have a camera slide down and almost take
- 18:34Speaker 2: your finger off. Just take their hard candy away, Jack.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It's basically the same thing. Give them a horse eat
- 18:39Speaker 2: and corn on the die there purple nkle and then
- 18:43Speaker 2: it's off to Knucklehead Island.
- 18:45Speaker 3: Right, super wedgie where they can taste in the back
- 18:48Speaker 3: of their.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Underwearf has God what seventy or eighty thousand people that
- 18:54Speaker 2: go there or whatever?
- 18:55Speaker 3: This is the amount of students set to graduate just
- 18:57Speaker 3: this weekend starting today.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I'll go forty eight hundred.
- 19:03Speaker 12: Ooo.
- 19:05Speaker 2: That's a lot. Yeah, but actually that's I'm going to
- 19:09Speaker 2: go ten thousand, all.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Right, Jack, over ten thousand.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Stay.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It's had to graduate from the University of Central Florida.
- 19:17Speaker 3: This weekend ceremonies there you go, started at nine am
- 19:22Speaker 3: today and continue through tomorrow.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I bet they're only in the d's right now or
- 19:28Speaker 2: the e's. Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Most UCF graduates are Florida residents who say they plan
- 19:33Speaker 3: to stay in the state after receiving their degrees.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And I know, Jack, you're a UCF alom.
- 19:38Speaker 3: I am. My husband's a UCF alum. It's amazing to
- 19:41Speaker 3: see how much that school has grown since I moved
- 19:43Speaker 3: here in eighty nine. When it was you know, it
- 19:45Speaker 3: was small. Now it's second only what University of Arizona.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Great Magnet Schools, Space of Engineering. I mean, it's some
- 19:51Speaker 2: of the most medical. It was. The student body when
- 19:54Speaker 2: I went. I graduated in ninety nine and I took
- 19:57Speaker 2: ten years off and went back to school graduated ninety nine.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Student body was under thirty thousand at the time. Wow,
- 20:04Speaker 2: it's like almost triple Yeah. Yeah, I think there's only
- 20:06Speaker 2: one other school that's bigger, right.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I think it's the University of Arizona. Yeah, yeah, I
- 20:10Speaker 3: think that's the only one.
- 20:11Speaker 2: All right.
- 20:12Speaker 3: A new law will protect Floridians from hyper scale data centers.
- 20:16Speaker 3: That's what Governor Ron Desanta said yesterday when he signed
- 20:19Speaker 3: Senate Bill four eighty four into law. It bans utilities
- 20:23Speaker 3: from passing data center costs, including electricity costs, onto residential
- 20:27Speaker 3: and small business customers. It also requires large scale users
- 20:31Speaker 3: to pay their full cost of service, and it gives
- 20:34Speaker 3: local governments the right to reject data center development to
- 20:38Speaker 3: Santa says, these are much needed projections for taxpayers and
- 20:41Speaker 3: our natural resources, because I don't know if you guys
- 20:43Speaker 3: have seen the map of proposed locations around Florida for
- 20:46Speaker 3: data centers. It's ridiculous, it is, it's terrifying.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Saw a story today, Have you ever heard one running?
- 20:53Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 20:54Speaker 2: So A saw one today and it says, if you
- 20:56Speaker 2: live within this far of a data center, this is
- 20:58Speaker 2: a mile this is what you here twenty four hours
- 21:01Speaker 2: a day. Now, this wasn't a mile away, but it
- 21:04Speaker 2: was a good couple hundred yards away where the building,
- 21:06Speaker 2: although gigantic, fit within the photograph and it sounds like
- 21:11Speaker 2: about six jet engines running at full blast the.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Entire time, the entire time.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It is crazy. By the way, the power soak is
- 21:19Speaker 2: so big on those that some of the communities the
- 21:21Speaker 2: power can't be supplied to them by the service because
- 21:24Speaker 2: it actually is more than a small city. It takes
- 21:27Speaker 2: more power. So that's why a lot of what I've
- 21:29Speaker 2: read is is that they're like like Zuckerberg and those
- 21:32Speaker 2: guys are talking about building any small news ye new.
- 21:35Speaker 3: Plant, Yeah, many reactors for that because but for I
- 21:38Speaker 3: think the bigger issue, especially in a state like Florida,
- 21:40Speaker 3: is our water. Right, yeah, well we already have business
- 21:43Speaker 3: entities pulling millions of gallons of water out of our
- 21:46Speaker 3: awkward for every day we can't afford to have a day?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Is that the sound you have, there's some music with
- 21:57Speaker 2: it that sucks you have because yeah, yeah underneath So
- 22:00Speaker 2: one I saw today was way louder than that, and
- 22:02Speaker 2: it was and they were probably four or five hundred
- 22:04Speaker 2: yards away.
- 22:05Speaker 3: It was a The one I saw was a woman
- 22:07Speaker 3: who had played the recording off of her phone like
- 22:09Speaker 3: a city council meeting, saying this is what it sounds
- 22:11Speaker 3: like if you live next Florid to one of these things.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Could not imagine.
- 22:14Speaker 4: And again, you know they're going up real quickly.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Welco, NARWORL. It's like everybody gets Tonight's yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Exactly exactly. There's a little less pain at the pump.
- 22:23Speaker 3: In Florida at Triple A says the state wide average
- 22:26Speaker 3: is four point fifty a gallon. That's down two cents
- 22:28Speaker 3: from yesterday, but still sharply higher than even a week ago,
- 22:31Speaker 3: with prices up twenty two cents nine cents down book
- 22:34Speaker 3: the crew I know Diesel is averaging five thirty six statewide.
- 22:38Speaker 4: That's also down two cents overnight.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Maybe you're like me, you have that little plastic bag
- 22:44Speaker 3: that was you're a postal person put in your mailbox
- 22:47Speaker 3: a couple of weeks and weekends ago. Okay, And that's
- 22:50Speaker 3: because Orlando and several other Florida cities are going to
- 22:53Speaker 3: take part in this weekend's Stamp Out Hunger food Drive.
- 22:56Speaker 2: The letter Carrier food Drive is always the second Saturday in.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's it's an annual event. It makes it
- 23:02Speaker 4: so easy.
- 23:03Speaker 3: It's put on by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
- 23:06Speaker 3: They couldn't make it any easier, even if you still
- 23:09Speaker 3: don't have the plastic bag that they may be dropped off.
- 23:11Speaker 3: If you have just another even a paper bag and
- 23:13Speaker 3: you have some non perishables, leave it up by your mailbox.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Your postal carrier will pick it up.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I'm donating avocados and bread.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Recommended idem no Jimmy No include cereal Jimmy, pasta, canned
- 23:26Speaker 3: fruits and vegetables, soups and juice. All donations will benefit
- 23:30Speaker 3: local food banks. Monetary donations are also being accepted. Yeah,
- 23:33Speaker 3: and kudos to our postal carriers because I know for
- 23:36Speaker 3: them this is a it's it's good because they're helping
- 23:39Speaker 3: the community, but it.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Also makes it just but their day is so much longer, not.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Even twice as much work. It's got to be like
- 23:47Speaker 2: four times.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Work at least because it's all that heavy lifting.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Love of those people been on that on that roll
- 23:55Speaker 2: for about twenty years, and they're like, no way, exactly
- 23:59Speaker 2: five knees. Yeah, that's the first day they submit vacation
- 24:04Speaker 2: guy for exact Isn't that the truth? I'll take that
- 24:06Speaker 2: second Saturday in May, please.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I mean, I want to do good for the community
- 24:11Speaker 3: and everything, but come on, all right, exactly exactly, all right.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Kodak Black.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, he has bonded out of the Orange County jail.
- 24:21Speaker 3: The Great nominated rapper bonded out yesterday after he was
- 24:24Speaker 3: booked on drug trafficking charges. Court record shows arrest thems
- 24:27Speaker 3: from an incident in Orlando last November. But Kodak Black
- 24:31Speaker 3: was also sentenced in twenty twenty two and twenty twenty
- 24:34Speaker 3: three and other drug related charges.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Let's get that guy back out, I for sure. Let's
- 24:40Speaker 2: give this guy as many swings as possible. All right.
- 24:42Speaker 3: The social media influencer who accuses former Miami Dolphins wide
- 24:46Speaker 3: receiver Tyreek Hill of breaking her leg in twenty twenty
- 24:50Speaker 3: three was back on the witness stand for a second day.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Sephie Hall describe feeling his body and packed hers during
- 24:57Speaker 3: a football drill at his Southwest Ranches home.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, and.
- 25:01Speaker 11: Immediately I feel pain through my by and.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Lose my breast and immediately and.
- 25:11Speaker 13: All my love.
- 25:13Speaker 3: She admitted they had a sexual relationship. She even stayed
- 25:17Speaker 3: at Hill's home for days after suffering the injury.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Wow, really walk away soon?
- 25:25Speaker 3: Jack Hell denies the allegations and claims she tripped over
- 25:30Speaker 3: a dog while playing football. Haul is suing for compensatory
- 25:35Speaker 3: and punitive damages.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Good luck.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Uh And this next story just reminds you why for
- 25:40Speaker 3: parents out there, grandparents' aunts and uncles, there are just
- 25:43Speaker 3: some people you wish were not given the title influencer,
- 25:46Speaker 3: m because a Sarasota, a Sarasota social media looks maxer
- 25:51Speaker 3: influencer is the latest to face charges, this time following
- 25:55Speaker 3: an investigation into the possession of child.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Sex abuse material.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, The Sheriff's office says eighteen year old Mason Hall,
- 26:04Speaker 3: who goes by Hullo online, was taken into custody after
- 26:07Speaker 3: detectives reviewed evidence and seized his phone. Investigators later obtained
- 26:12Speaker 3: an arrest warrant charging hull with fifteen counts following a
- 26:15Speaker 3: forensic examination of his device. Again, he is eighteen years old.
- 26:19Speaker 3: How many followers did he have on TikTok.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Man, of all the things like if you're going to
- 26:26Speaker 2: bring attention to yourself, one point nine three.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Hundred and fifty thousand followers on TikTok so. I mean
- 26:34Speaker 3: quite an audience for an eighteen year old hair old,
- 26:36Speaker 3: eighteen year old kid.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Who doesn't even have a full frontal lobe development exactly.
- 26:41Speaker 3: But he's too busy knocking it around with a hammer
- 26:43Speaker 3: because he's a looksmaxer.
- 26:44Speaker 2: He's going to get his rear lobed. They developed that
- 26:48Speaker 2: real nice for him. Guess what one way ticket Knucklehead.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Island, Coilhead Island.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Absolutely also, I think they really handle his throat lob
- 26:57Speaker 2: very well. I has wound that give him a pinch
- 27:01Speaker 2: right on the back of the yard. He's gonna do
- 27:03Speaker 2: this all day.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Although his account has since been turned private since his arrest.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Yeah no, no, let's the platform. Immediately, you lose all
- 27:13Speaker 2: social platforms, I mean forever.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I can't imagine he'll be allowed to because again, he
- 27:18Speaker 3: was possession of child sex abuse material.
- 27:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Shakira has just reclaimed her crown as the undisputed voice
- 27:25Speaker 3: of the World Cup with the twenty twenty sixth sim
- 27:28Speaker 3: We're down over there twenty twenty six tournament just under
- 27:31Speaker 3: a month away.
- 27:32Speaker 4: FIFA has officially tapped.
- 27:34Speaker 3: At the Colombian superstar for the game's new anthem. So
- 27:46Speaker 3: the track is called Die Die that's Italian for coman,
- 27:49Speaker 3: Come on. This will be Shakira's fourth time performing for
- 27:51Speaker 3: the World Cup, following in the footsteps of her global
- 27:55Speaker 3: smash Waka wakaw Shakira takes to the stage at Miami's
- 27:58Speaker 3: Cassea Center on a lie.
- 28:00Speaker 2: First, I passed her in the hallway here once. Yeah,
- 28:03Speaker 2: she's like four foot one if that? Yeah?
- 28:06Speaker 3: Any tiny Did you know that she comes from the
- 28:09Speaker 3: same village that Sophia Vergara comes from.
- 28:13Speaker 2: No, I did not know that.
- 28:14Speaker 3: And they're both naturally blonde, really, which is crazy? Like that?
- 28:28Speaker 2: All right, the impression you didn't know you needed?
- 28:31Speaker 3: I thank you so much. Are you guys getting your
- 28:37Speaker 3: wives flowers for Mother's Day?
- 28:39Speaker 4: Which is interesting? Do you guys get your wives anything?
- 28:41Speaker 2: Oh man, that's a great question. She's not my mom,
- 28:45Speaker 2: that's right, that's right. I did when when? Oh man?
- 28:49Speaker 2: All right, I get a card? Okay, usually not a gift.
- 28:52Speaker 2: And we don't do the flower thing anymore. We talked
- 28:53Speaker 2: about that for sure.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Well, if you are getting some Mother's Day flowers before
- 28:57Speaker 3: they make it to your vase, just know they have
- 29:00Speaker 3: to pass a very high stakes inspection at Miami International Airport.
- 29:05Speaker 1: They're not just here to move flowers quickly to get
- 29:07Speaker 1: it out to the market. Their role is to protect
- 29:09Speaker 1: the American agriculture, our economy, and really our way of.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Life, US customs and border protections. Danielle Alonzo says agricultural
- 29:18Speaker 3: specialist hand inspect. Think about this, hand inspect the millions
- 29:23Speaker 3: of flower stems for hitchhiking, pests, and diseases. Most of
- 29:27Speaker 3: these blooms are coming in from Columbia and Ecuador. Miami
- 29:30Speaker 3: handles what percent of all floral imports into the US.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It's a gross amount.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Jack percent? Yeah, points Jimmy, it's a ninety one percent.
- 29:42Speaker 3: And as you can imagine, a single invasive moth or
- 29:45Speaker 3: beetle could devastate Florida's local crops and where our farmers
- 29:49Speaker 3: are already dealing with enough. Since mid April, inspectors have
- 29:53Speaker 3: cleared over one billion individual stems with a bee with
- 29:57Speaker 3: a bee?
- 29:58Speaker 4: Whow imagine? Isn't that crazy?
- 30:01Speaker 2: One to got to pick it up? Stand exactly all right?
- 30:09Speaker 3: A four hundred million dollar mega mansion in is now
- 30:14Speaker 3: the most expensive home listed in the US.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Got to be in Jupiter or Miami or.
- 30:22Speaker 3: How about bel Air, California. No really, yeah, I thought
- 30:25Speaker 3: you said it was Florida.
- 30:26Speaker 4: I did not.
- 30:27Speaker 3: I said the most priceiest home listed in the US
- 30:30Speaker 3: can be found here.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Trickery, strickery, tainted and unclean. Oh thank you.
- 30:41Speaker 3: It's also the most expensive public residential listing in the world.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 30:45Speaker 3: If sold near the asking price, it would break the
- 30:48Speaker 3: record for the most expensive home ever sold in the US.
- 30:52Speaker 3: The current record is about two hundred and forty million
- 30:55Speaker 3: dollars for a New York City apartment that was sold
- 30:58Speaker 3: in twenty nineteen. The potentially record breaking property, called the
- 31:02Speaker 3: Crown Jewel of Los Angeles, hit the real estate market recently.
- 31:06Speaker 3: It sits on eight acres of land, has thirty nine
- 31:10Speaker 3: bedrooms fifty nine bathrooms across multiple structures, totaling seventy thousand
- 31:17Speaker 3: square feet.
- 31:19Speaker 2: At a wildfire suppression.
- 31:21Speaker 3: The estate and the hills was completed in twenty eighteen
- 31:24Speaker 3: after about a decade of construction.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Is it that Russian guy that owned it? There was
- 31:28Speaker 2: an oligarch out there that owned a gigantic piece of property,
- 31:31Speaker 2: but also Aaron Spelling's house. For the longest time was
- 31:34Speaker 2: considered like the most opulent piece of property in LA
- 31:37Speaker 2: in that area, And when you drive by that thing,
- 31:39Speaker 2: it's like it's crazy. By the way, it's so funny
- 31:41Speaker 2: when you go to you go to Los Angeles, We're
- 31:42Speaker 2: gonna drive and see all the stars houses, you aren't.
- 31:44Speaker 2: And here's why. He's thirty foot hedges everywhere you go
- 31:48Speaker 2: right now. If you love hedges, you've hit the paydr
- 31:50Speaker 2: because you're gonna see as many of those as you want.
- 31:52Speaker 2: You're not going to see anybody's house. You want to
- 31:54Speaker 2: see a celebrities house, you'll have to settle for Lucille
- 31:57Speaker 2: Ball's old home.
- 31:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah, really that's the and they don't cover And by
- 32:00Speaker 2: the way, all those rooms and stuff, I don't even
- 32:03Speaker 2: know what that's about. Shaquille. Just to Shaquille O'Neil recently
- 32:06Speaker 2: did an interview about this house he built out here. Yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 2: and went to mirror and he goes like, there are
- 32:10Speaker 2: He goes, I was actually scared to go to parts
- 32:13Speaker 2: of the house because we haven't been there in so long.
- 32:14Speaker 2: We didn't know what was down there. He was like
- 32:17Speaker 2: that series ages. I didn't even go to that side
- 32:19Speaker 2: of the house because nobody was there for months, and
- 32:20Speaker 2: I was like, I didn't know what was down there,
- 32:22Speaker 2: so I never went down there. He goes, I lived
- 32:23Speaker 2: in like three rooms. Isn't that crazy? It's great.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I don't understand the need for that. And I'm with you,
- 32:28Speaker 3: Jimmy I think there's got to be property in Star
- 32:30Speaker 3: Island or somewhere in South Florida that would sell easily
- 32:34Speaker 3: for close to four hundred million dollars.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Marklogo I think has actually worth about half a billion dollars,

- 33:37Speaker 2: Fiscara Canadian. Wow. Uh we talked about your believe your
- 33:46Speaker 2: home country yesterday on the air Tanzania.
- 33:49Speaker 9: Yeah. Did you hear talk about.
- 33:51Speaker 2: What would you think? Okay, so we were talking. It's
- 33:53Speaker 2: kind of hard, that's a great question. We found that
- 33:57Speaker 2: there's only a portion of the world that allows people
- 34:00Speaker 2: to live there to do this, and this is a
- 34:04Speaker 2: very common thing that every human being does North, a
- 34:08Speaker 2: lot of in the North America, most of Europe, Japan, Australia,
- 34:13Speaker 2: Australia and Tanzania, and of all of Africa. I think
- 34:17Speaker 2: Tanzania is the one of the only country that allows
- 34:21Speaker 2: this to happen.
- 34:23Speaker 9: Let's go with fracking.
- 34:26Speaker 2: No, no, Tanzania is the only country in Africa that
- 34:31Speaker 2: we can find that allows you to flush your toilet paper.
- 34:36Speaker 2: How crazy is that? Right? All Rightfi has joined us
- 34:41Speaker 2: from the Orlando Weekly or landoekly. If you want to
- 34:44Speaker 2: check out fis this stuff, you can do that. Every
- 34:46Speaker 2: single week he calls us to tell us what's happening
- 34:48Speaker 2: in Orlando. When it comes to food and drink, he
- 34:51Speaker 2: keeps his ear to the ground for the best spots
- 34:53Speaker 2: out there for you guys to go and try out
- 34:55Speaker 2: some of the newest flavors in the city and some
- 34:58Speaker 2: of the newest spots and what we have. We usually
- 35:00Speaker 2: start off with the review. Let's get do it.
- 35:03Speaker 6: Yes, So this week's review was a place called Yummy Katsu.
- 35:07Speaker 6: It's at fifty seventy five Edgewater Drive, just north of
- 35:11Speaker 6: what I like to call the shabby sector of College Park,
- 35:14Speaker 6: just north of there, and they specialize in breaded cutlets,
- 35:20Speaker 6: Japanese and Korean breaded cutlets and breaded cutlets. You know,
- 35:23Speaker 6: our love affair with breaded cutlets actually goes back around
- 35:26Speaker 6: nine hundred years when a Benedictine monk presented some sort
- 35:31Speaker 6: of crumbed loin to some famished monastics. And since then,
- 35:36Speaker 6: you know, we've got veal milanaise, and we've got like,
- 35:39Speaker 6: you know, a Wiener schnitzol and chicken fried steak. And
- 35:43Speaker 6: speaking of Tanzania, my one of my favorite breaded meats
- 35:46Speaker 6: is a thing called cutlass, which you know, which is
- 35:50Speaker 6: a Swahili word for really cutlet. But it's a deep
- 35:53Speaker 6: fried beef beef cutlet that's you know, it's it's coated
- 35:57Speaker 6: in eggs and you know, spread cornsent anyway, know, we
- 36:00Speaker 6: just have this love affair with breaded cutlets. But of late,
- 36:04Speaker 6: you know, I personally have been gravitating towards katsu, and
- 36:08Speaker 6: I know many other Orlando ones have as well. And
- 36:11Speaker 6: there's a place, this place, you know, on Edgewater Drives
- 36:15Speaker 6: called It's called Yummi Katsu. And like I said, they
- 36:17Speaker 6: specialize in more Korean style katsu, but they're taking the
- 36:21Speaker 6: Japanese cotsu and just sort of, you know, putting a
- 36:24Speaker 6: very a very slight twitch to it.
- 36:28Speaker 2: So let me tell you real quick and ask you
- 36:29Speaker 2: a question. So when you go to Dobu, the famous
- 36:31Speaker 2: spot over in at East End Market, and they have
- 36:35Speaker 2: some famous wings there, and I noticed that the crumb
- 36:40Speaker 2: that's on this katsu that's on the screen right now
- 36:42Speaker 2: jump over live dot com is similar to that. Is
- 36:44Speaker 2: it a similar technique to that? I mean, yes, similar.
- 36:48Speaker 6: I want to say that the wings at Domo were
- 36:51Speaker 6: coated and maybe rice flours, okay, gotcha super. But with
- 36:55Speaker 6: traditional katsu, it's usually it's usually coated in egg and
- 36:59Speaker 6: flour and panco yeah, pincoa right, yeah, So and it's
- 37:04Speaker 6: typically deep fried. You know, when I do it at home,
- 37:06Speaker 6: I shallow fry it. But it's I find it's not
- 37:10Speaker 6: quite the same like in this place. It's dedicated to
- 37:12Speaker 6: all things kotsu. And if you're if you happen to
- 37:15Speaker 6: be close to your to your phone or a computer,
- 37:17Speaker 6: you know, if you pull up my Instagram account, it
- 37:19Speaker 6: it's by us Kara. I'm telling you some of these
- 37:22Speaker 6: photos that I've taken, you know, not to toot my
- 37:24Speaker 6: own horn.
- 37:24Speaker 9: But they're pretty damn delightable looking.
- 37:27Speaker 2: So tell me about the sauce that's on that plate
- 37:30Speaker 2: with that chicken katsu there.
- 37:31Speaker 6: The jack is so that that very first photo chicken. Yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 6: you're right, it's chicken kotsu. It's a chicken curry. Kotsu
- 37:39Speaker 6: and Japanese and Korean curries are typically are very well balanced,
- 37:43Speaker 6: you know, that have that balance of a slightly sweet
- 37:46Speaker 6: and savory and and that pepperinus that that that curry brings.
- 37:50Speaker 6: And when you order a platter of the of this,
- 37:52Speaker 6: when you order the chicken curry cots so you get rice,
- 37:54Speaker 6: you get cabbage, you get some soup, you get the
- 37:57Speaker 6: you know the ban chon Korean banchan, which you know,
- 37:59Speaker 6: the usually consists of a kimchi and and pickled radishes
- 38:04Speaker 6: things like that.
- 38:05Speaker 9: We also got like the fish kotsu.
- 38:07Speaker 6: Which is made of swine, which is a very sort
- 38:09Speaker 6: of popular white fish. And and for and for some reason,
- 38:13Speaker 6: when they serve that, the rice that you get is
- 38:15Speaker 6: it's it's got like a sprinkle of like salty seaweed.
- 38:18Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 38:18Speaker 9: It's like whatever that is, it's sessing me salty seaweed.
- 38:21Speaker 6: And again, if you're following on on the on the
- 38:23Speaker 6: YouTube channel, what you're looking at there is the fish
- 38:25Speaker 6: kotsu and they're like thick. And let me tell you
- 38:28Speaker 6: the the thing with katsu, the thing that makes that
- 38:31Speaker 6: draws people there is that is that crackly christ when
- 38:34Speaker 6: you first bite into it. If you don't have that,
- 38:36Speaker 6: then it just but the but the other thing is
- 38:39Speaker 6: that you know, the meats, whether it's fish, whether it's pork,
- 38:41Speaker 6: whether it's chicken, are so are still very juicy that
- 38:45Speaker 6: it doesn't dry out. And if you're looking at this
- 38:47Speaker 6: photo right now, this monsters things like the size of
- 38:50Speaker 6: my head. This is the King Dawn kotsu. It's a
- 38:53Speaker 6: it's a breaded pork cutlet and the pork is like
- 38:56Speaker 6: pounded so so thin that it you know it it
- 39:00Speaker 6: increases in circumference size.
- 39:03Speaker 9: And then it's deep fried.
- 39:04Speaker 6: And you would think that, you know, something like this,
- 39:06Speaker 6: you know, the meat would be kind of dried, but
- 39:07Speaker 6: again not dry at all. So it's and it's a
- 39:10Speaker 6: massive thing. It's you know, I didn't even you know,
- 39:13Speaker 6: show all the other kutramm. But it comes with this
- 39:15Speaker 6: sort of demi glossish type of sauce for you to
- 39:17Speaker 6: dip into, and it's just it's all fantastic. It's it's
- 39:21Speaker 6: it's all great.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I gotta tell you know, it's so funny. Just somebody
- 39:23Speaker 2: texted and said, wow, another Asian restaurant, which we love you.
- 39:26Speaker 2: We know you love those flavors. But you know, look
- 39:28Speaker 2: at these photographs. This looks like an incredibly approachable if
- 39:32Speaker 2: you are scared of any type of Asian or ethnic food.
- 39:36Speaker 2: That it's basically fried meat. But it's similar to how
- 39:39Speaker 2: you would make a chicken parmegan. It's almost like the same.
- 39:42Speaker 2: It's almost the same exact way you do that with
- 39:45Speaker 2: a bunch of different meats and great sauces and stuff
- 39:47Speaker 2: to eat with it. I mean, it looks delicious.
- 39:49Speaker 6: It is and and and actually Japanese and Korean katsu
- 39:52Speaker 6: is modeled very very similarly. It's very similar to to
- 39:55Speaker 6: Wiener Schnitzel. That's where they got the inspiration from. So
- 39:57Speaker 6: if you like Wiener Schnitzel, if you like German fair,
- 40:01Speaker 6: you will like this restaurant.
- 40:02Speaker 9: It's great.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Now that said, they also have a separate sort of
- 40:06Speaker 6: Korean menu. And what you're looking at here is a soup.
- 40:09Speaker 6: It's a soundbou soup. It's a vegetarian soup. You can
- 40:11Speaker 6: you don't have to get the vegetarian, you can get
- 40:12Speaker 6: the ones with the meat. But this is like an.
- 40:14Speaker 9: Infernal it's a very it's it's it's like a very
- 40:17Speaker 9: famous Korean soup. It's like very spicy. It's like red
- 40:21Speaker 9: and it's bold, and it's got a lot of tofu
- 40:23Speaker 9: in there.
- 40:24Speaker 6: It's like radishes, you know, it's got that kimchi ish
- 40:27Speaker 6: type of flavor.
- 40:28Speaker 9: And again it comes with so many things. It comes
- 40:30Speaker 9: with the rice.
- 40:30Speaker 6: It actually comes with the raw egg, which you're like,
- 40:33Speaker 6: when you serve this this gurgling broth of soup, you
- 40:37Speaker 6: you crack an egg into it and then you sort
- 40:39Speaker 6: of like mix it all up and allow the egg
- 40:41Speaker 6: to cook into that broth.
- 40:42Speaker 9: And yeah, it's just like so simple, it's so comforting,
- 40:46Speaker 9: so good.
- 40:46Speaker 6: They also have like oudan noodles there, but honestly, if
- 40:49Speaker 6: you're gonna go to Yummy Katsu, go for the cotsu
- 40:52Speaker 6: because it is it's truly comforting an outside.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Just looking at that picture, my sinuses have cleared up.
- 40:58Speaker 2: It literally looks it would melt your face. But that's delicious, Okay,
- 41:02Speaker 2: Yomi Kottsu on edword to drive give it a try.
- 41:04Speaker 2: If I said it's great, let's move on H and
- 41:07Speaker 2: H Bagels, making it to town.
- 41:09Speaker 9: Eight and eight.
- 41:10Speaker 6: So this is like a legendary New York City bagel shop.
- 41:13Speaker 6: It's been around since nineteen seventy two, I think. And
- 41:16Speaker 6: they're going on this nationwide expansion tear and they'll be
- 41:20Speaker 6: opening on May the fourteenth in Altamont Springs. And I
- 41:24Speaker 6: have to look at this address. It is at a
- 41:27Speaker 6: nine thirty one State Route State Road for thirty four
- 41:32Speaker 6: in Alkmon Springs. It's near that Jamestown yea where the Jamestown, Yeah,
- 41:36Speaker 6: that's where it is. It'll be open in May fourteenth.
- 41:38Speaker 6: And now the first two hundred people that go there,
- 41:41Speaker 6: that that you know that line up and go there
- 41:44Speaker 6: will receive a mystery tote bag which will contain a
- 41:47Speaker 6: gift card which could be up to like one hundred bucks.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Damn.
- 41:50Speaker 6: So yeah, so May fourteenth in altumon H and H Bagels.
- 41:54Speaker 2: All right, let's talk about is it James Kitchen coming
- 41:57Speaker 2: to Mills fifty.
- 41:59Speaker 6: Yeah, James Kitchen, speaking of more Asian restaurant. Now, this
- 42:01Speaker 6: is going to be the third Jang's Kitchen. It's j
- 42:04Speaker 6: I A N G apostrophe s. It's gonna be the
- 42:07Speaker 6: third one. But the first two haven't even opened yet.
- 42:10Speaker 6: So the first one is going to be opening up
- 42:13Speaker 6: downtown on Robinson Street and that'll be I believe later
- 42:16Speaker 6: this month, and then the second one will open near
- 42:19Speaker 6: the Millennium Mall. But this one will open in Mills
- 42:22Speaker 6: fifty at one one one one East Colonial Drive, right
- 42:25Speaker 6: next door to a Go or May Chinese Cuisine and
- 42:28Speaker 6: right across the street from Mills Market, so pretty much
- 42:30Speaker 6: right in the corner of Mills and Colonial. And the
- 42:32Speaker 6: difference here is that they're going to be specializing in
- 42:35Speaker 6: and and Bang bang noodles. They're going to have like
- 42:38Speaker 6: an open kitchen. They're going to have all the all
- 42:41Speaker 6: the noodle maestros there slapping those noodles, and they're also
- 42:46Speaker 6: going to be making dumplings. But they won't have a
- 42:48Speaker 6: full bar. They'll offer like wine and beer and sock
- 42:50Speaker 6: and that sort of thing. But the other two, the
- 42:52Speaker 6: first two will have a full star.
- 42:53Speaker 2: So now I want to ask you, man, is there
- 42:56Speaker 2: a glut of noodles in Orlando? We saw this with
- 42:58Speaker 2: a couple of things in the past, and it kind
- 42:59Speaker 2: of burned out. There's a glut of takoias for a while.
- 43:02Speaker 2: There was a glut of craft beer in Orlando for
- 43:04Speaker 2: a while, and now there seems to be a glut
- 43:07Speaker 2: of these hand shaped or hand pulled or slat noodles places.
- 43:11Speaker 2: I mean, is is it too manybody? I swear it
- 43:13Speaker 2: seems like every week another noodle place is opening.
- 43:16Speaker 6: You used the word glud and I and I and
- 43:18Speaker 6: I sense like a negative tone here when you say
- 43:20Speaker 6: that you are there.
- 43:23Speaker 9: Too many burger places? Are there not too many?
- 43:25Speaker 8: You know?
- 43:26Speaker 9: Sandwich shops? No?
- 43:27Speaker 2: More is more?
- 43:28Speaker 6: And more and more is good?
- 43:30Speaker 2: Just asking the question. There have to be so agro
- 43:32Speaker 2: about it. You got it? Jill, Jill Canada. Yeah, okay,
- 43:37Speaker 2: more swimming in the glut of your negative bear. Yeah,
- 43:40Speaker 2: I need a bowl of that soup to fire my
- 43:42Speaker 2: ass up. All right, more Moore is good? All right? Well, okay,
- 43:46Speaker 2: Mother's Days up this weekend. And it says here you
- 43:48Speaker 2: you know where some Mother's Day afternoon tea may be happening.
- 43:51Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 43:52Speaker 6: Yeah, So there's a couple of places, so one being
- 43:54Speaker 6: Sparrow right there in the North Quarter. It's it's uh,
- 43:58Speaker 6: you know, it's run by Wendy Lopez that James Beard
- 44:01Speaker 6: nominated Wendy Lopez. And so I believe it's on May
- 44:04Speaker 6: to ninth. I think it's on the Saturday, not on
- 44:06Speaker 6: the Sunday. There she's having like a special afternoon tea.
- 44:09Speaker 6: And I think it's only sixty eight bucks. I think
- 44:12Speaker 6: they have two seatings, one o'clock and three o'clock. Kids
- 44:16Speaker 6: are welcome to come, I believe kids I think are forty.
- 44:18Speaker 6: I think it's forty bucks for children twelve and under.
- 44:20Speaker 6: But if you want to do something nice for your mom,
- 44:23Speaker 6: afternoon tea, that's something like different. It's opposed to like
- 44:26Speaker 6: a brunch or you know, the typical sort of thing.
- 44:28Speaker 6: You know what afternoon Tea could be very nice. And
- 44:31Speaker 6: then over at Ravello at the Four Seasons, they're having
- 44:36Speaker 6: something called Spring in Bloom and they're also doing a
- 44:39Speaker 6: Mother's Day brunch and I think that one there, I
- 44:41Speaker 6: think that one might be like around eighty bucks. So
- 44:45Speaker 6: a chef Robbie Saber, who was like again like a
- 44:47Speaker 6: James Beard nominated pastry chef, will be doing all the
- 44:50Speaker 6: little things. And if you've never been to Ravello, by
- 44:53Speaker 6: the way, I went to Ravello last week and my god,
- 44:56Speaker 6: a chef Fabrizio Scinardi there. He's got like a whole
- 44:59Speaker 6: new spread of things and man of life. I everything
- 45:02Speaker 6: from like the you know, the the via Milanese to
- 45:05Speaker 6: like his octopus to oh, my god. I mean, if
- 45:07Speaker 6: you haven't been to Rebello, it's easily one of our
- 45:10Speaker 6: finest Italian restaurants in town.
- 45:12Speaker 2: That's awesome. And the funny thing is we don't talk
- 45:14Speaker 2: about that that much. That's a good heads up. Ross
- 45:17Speaker 2: and his brother and family just went to June the
- 45:19Speaker 2: other night for his brother's birthday and he still contends
- 45:21Speaker 2: it's a you know, top three in the city. Do
- 45:23Speaker 2: you still contend that.
- 45:25Speaker 6: Yeah, I top your restaurant June is outstanding. So for
- 45:29Speaker 6: people who follow my column last year, I mean June
- 45:31Speaker 6: the best new restaurant to open in twenty twenty five,
- 45:36Speaker 6: and and for sure it is. June is outstanding. The
- 45:39Speaker 6: chef there Jason Campbell, Nick Greco they you know, chef
- 45:42Speaker 6: Tommy there as well.
- 45:43Speaker 9: They do an outstanding job. The drinks are great too.
- 45:47Speaker 6: It's a it's a fairly focused menu, but I'm telling you,
- 45:49Speaker 6: I've tried everything on the menu and everything is so good.
- 45:52Speaker 6: Everything is just so good. Just get anything. Yeah, and
- 45:55Speaker 6: it's a great place for vegetarians to go to as well.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Yeah. And his wife is that so that's probably why
- 45:59Speaker 2: they chose that. But always good to see you, buddy.

- 47:57Speaker 15: that the fhps are out marked and unmarked in fourth

- 48:16Speaker 15: what's up right now?
- 48:16Speaker 9: You'll have a good one.
- 48:19Speaker 16: Thank I work in a middle school. I'm a lunch lady.
- 48:23Speaker 16: Middle school kids are the absolute worst, YEP, and it's
- 48:26Speaker 16: only getting worse because parents, guardians whomever are watching us
- 48:31Speaker 16: little Rudgrass and not take a responsibility. It is an
- 48:35Speaker 16: absolute nightmare. Thank you. Have a great weekend.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Thank you too. Thanks for the update for humanity. We're
- 48:41Speaker 2: human beings on the planet. They are they are. You
- 48:43Speaker 2: know you need to give them page right on the
- 48:46Speaker 2: back of the arm man right before you send them
- 48:49Speaker 2: the knucklehead island, right right. Maybe a little paint on
- 48:53Speaker 2: that ear low. Yeah, coin is your fourth lucky word.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Co I in slide over to real radio, don fim
- 49:01Speaker 2: and send that away for your chance in one thousand
- 49:03Speaker 2: bucks coin. That's that's the word, guys. Good luck and
- 49:07Speaker 2: a kick in the ass, A swift kick in the ass, yeah,
- 49:11Speaker 2: not a slow one.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm Jim. There's deb make them go pick out
- 49:15Speaker 2: their own switch. Jack is here. I've had to do
- 49:17Speaker 2: that number of times. I was the league leader in
- 49:21Speaker 2: having wooden spoons broken over anything in my body. I'm
- 49:25Speaker 2: not even kidding, dude. I just had wooden spoon after
- 49:27Speaker 2: wooden spoon just broken over all of me. So earlier
- 49:31Speaker 2: this week, by the way, we talked about a I
- 49:32Speaker 2: think it was yesterday or Wednesday, yeah, or it could
- 49:36Speaker 2: have been six months ago. We were in a time
- 49:38Speaker 2: warp here. Yeah, I think it was Wednesday or Thursday.
- 49:40Speaker 2: We talked about this horrible case where this woman is
- 49:43Speaker 2: trying to sell her house. I think she and I
- 49:45Speaker 2: will get this cleared up in a second. She goes,
- 49:47Speaker 2: I believe, goes away from a little bit, but when
- 49:48Speaker 2: she comes back, someone has stolen her driveway, like pavers
- 49:52Speaker 2: to the tune of like five grand, like where are
- 49:55Speaker 2: you gonna park?
- 49:55Speaker 9: Right?
- 49:55Speaker 2: And then you remember she's trying to sell her house,
- 49:58Speaker 2: So it's not like you can just go well, I
- 50:00Speaker 2: guess we'll just kind of put this together a little
- 50:02Speaker 2: by little. If you're trying to sell your house, you
- 50:04Speaker 2: have to replace that driveway, and I believe we have.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Is it her daughter in law? No, it's her daughter.
- 50:09Speaker 2: It's her daughter, you guys, give it up? Good lab
- 50:10Speaker 2: for deandor what do you say? Okay, how are you
- 50:15Speaker 2: doing good? How are you not too bad? I mean,
- 50:18Speaker 2: am I close on my story? Is that what happened?
- 50:20Speaker 2: She went away and then came back and her driveway
- 50:22Speaker 2: was gone? Or so?
- 50:25Speaker 5: She lives in Orlando with her boyfriend and has used
- 50:28Speaker 5: that property as a rental property for many years. Just
- 50:32Speaker 5: kind of you know, she always wanted to keep it
- 50:35Speaker 5: for me and my sister, and we were finally like, Mom,
- 50:39Speaker 5: go ahead and sell it. You use that money for
- 50:41Speaker 5: your retirement and everything. We don't need it. We have
- 50:43Speaker 5: our own houses. We don't need it. So another realtor
- 50:49Speaker 5: went by the home and called her and said, Lucy,
- 50:53Speaker 5: I thought you had your driveway repaired. So at the
- 50:57Speaker 5: end of the driveway was a crap because we're you know,
- 51:01Speaker 5: she's telling it. She wanted to look nice and it
- 51:03Speaker 5: was a very small repair that needed to be done.
- 51:06Speaker 5: At the end of the driveway had to repair, no problem.
- 51:09Speaker 5: Two weeks later, the entire driveway is gone.
- 51:12Speaker 2: Wow, unbelievable, Like no, no neighbors or anything, kind of
- 51:20Speaker 2: alerted to the fact that somebody was pulling up the driveway,
- 51:22Speaker 2: nobody went over and said, hey, you know, I mean,
- 51:24Speaker 2: I guess miss is it Miss Lucy? Lucy is your mom? Yes,
- 51:28Speaker 2: you know, I didn't know Lucy was doing this. I mean, like,
- 51:30Speaker 2: no neighbors kind of chimed in and did they do
- 51:33Speaker 2: it in the middle of the day. They had to
- 51:34Speaker 2: have right the next.
- 51:36Speaker 5: Door neighbors saw someone there and she didn't think anything
- 51:41Speaker 5: of it. I guess it was just like, oh, I
- 51:43Speaker 5: thought you were having the driveway repair, Like why would
- 51:46Speaker 5: we just have the driveway repair? So she didn't really
- 51:51Speaker 5: say anything. Luckily, another neighbor did go over and get
- 51:55Speaker 5: their business card. Had it not been for that neighbor
- 51:57Speaker 5: getting the business card, we would not know who went there.
- 52:02Speaker 2: Wow.
- 52:03Speaker 5: Unfortunately it is a lot of older neighbors, so no
- 52:06Speaker 5: one really has like ring cameras or anything. Right, Yeah,
- 52:10Speaker 5: but we were able to find the company thanks to
- 52:13Speaker 5: the neighbor who had a business card, and we found
- 52:17Speaker 5: out who it was. And my mom called them and
- 52:20Speaker 5: they're like, well, I don't know, I'm sorry, And I
- 52:22Speaker 5: was told to stop doing the job. Okay, but you
- 52:26Speaker 5: didn't even check to see if there was permit pooled?
- 52:28Speaker 5: Where are you at the right address?
- 52:31Speaker 6: Like?
- 52:31Speaker 2: Nothing? So where are we right now?
- 52:34Speaker 3: Me?
- 52:34Speaker 2: Is she gonna get Is she gonna get her driveway
- 52:36Speaker 2: back from these people? Did they say that they're just
- 52:38Speaker 2: gonna keep the papers? What's going on? Where are these rocks?
- 52:41Speaker 5: So it was a regular concrete driveway. They were prepping
- 52:44Speaker 5: it for pavers.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Oh.
- 52:48Speaker 5: If they even drove through the neighborhood, they realized not
- 52:51Speaker 5: one person has papers for driveways. We're not allowed that
- 52:54Speaker 5: in the age of a way that we are, gotcha,
- 52:57Speaker 5: you would think they pavers look nicer.
- 52:59Speaker 2: But whatever.
- 53:02Speaker 5: They told her basically, oh so sorry, we're not fixing it.
- 53:06Speaker 2: Wow, really that's crazy. And when you but when they
- 53:10Speaker 2: say they stole the driveway, what are they talking about?
- 53:13Speaker 17: Then it's kind of just I guess what the news
- 53:17Speaker 17: is using as the driveway.
- 53:19Speaker 5: Was stolen because she didn't hire these people to do
- 53:23Speaker 5: any driveway work. We did with police reports, I was like, Mama,
- 53:28Speaker 5: it sounds silly, but we need to call and at
- 53:31Speaker 5: least do a report. Of course I felt weird. I'm like,
- 53:35Speaker 5: what do I call them?
- 53:36Speaker 2: Be like, hey, so my driveway? Yeah, yeah, that's a while.
- 53:40Speaker 2: So did they do any work to ruin it? I mean,
- 53:42Speaker 2: is she still able to sell the house or did
- 53:44Speaker 2: they like chip it up with a with a It's
- 53:47Speaker 2: just it's just dirt, there's no driveway, so they chipped
- 53:51Speaker 2: up the concrete and took it.
- 53:54Speaker 5: They completely ripped up the entire driveway, not what you
- 53:58Speaker 5: would prepare for a pay for driveway.
- 54:03Speaker 2: So they thought they were it was a legit company
- 54:07Speaker 2: doing work. But what they were at the wrong address.
- 54:10Speaker 2: Is that the case?
- 54:13Speaker 17: They were hired by the quote unquote new owners investors
- 54:18Speaker 17: of this home, which no one has bought the home.
- 54:21Speaker 5: It's still on the market.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Oh man, this sounds this sounds scammy. It sounds yeah.
- 54:27Speaker 5: So to scam the people who hired this company that
- 54:31Speaker 5: is local are actually in Nigeria. They send them a
- 54:40Speaker 5: check and they were the scam is they sent a
- 54:43Speaker 5: check and they say, oh, we overpaid you. We need
- 54:46Speaker 5: you to send some amount of dollars back.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:49Speaker 5: Well, basically they're just getting their money because no money
- 54:53Speaker 5: was ever actually sent. What happened is is the company
- 54:58Speaker 5: was then like, hey, this is not the check. Oh
- 55:02Speaker 5: whoop someone's driveway.
- 55:06Speaker 2: So so let me ask you a question. So, how
- 55:07Speaker 2: did your mom learn about this, uh, this particular company
- 55:11Speaker 2: or service. She'd just go online and find it or
- 55:13Speaker 2: did a friend tell her? Or how did she find
- 55:15Speaker 2: out about it? Neighbor, the neighbor who got the car from.
- 55:20Speaker 2: That's why if that neighbor, she wouldn't know who was
- 55:23Speaker 2: if that neighbor didn't walk up and say, hey, can
- 55:25Speaker 2: I get your car? Wow, they're a real company, which
- 55:29Speaker 2: is why they if they were just thieves, they wouldn't
- 55:31Speaker 2: have given her to the car. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It
- 55:34Speaker 2: seems like the construction company or the driveway company is
- 55:38Speaker 2: really the victim of a scam here, but now her
- 55:43Speaker 2: mom is the victor, the true victim, because somebody has
- 55:46Speaker 2: and somebody, so somebody has to poor a new driveway,
- 55:48Speaker 2: so she can't have papers, so that has to be
- 55:50Speaker 2: a poor driveway. And concrete is blinking expensive right now, man,
- 55:54Speaker 2: So it would cost like four or five thousand dollars
- 55:56Speaker 2: to report that, wouldn't it.
- 55:58Speaker 5: Yeah, we got a quote about to get.
- 56:00Speaker 2: A new Yeah, so do you take them the small
- 56:03Speaker 2: claims court or what's the next step? DeAndre?
- 56:07Speaker 5: So right now, how she put in a claim with
- 56:09Speaker 5: the insurance company just to at least try to get
- 56:12Speaker 5: something done. She has talked about small claims. I started
- 56:16Speaker 5: to go fund me for her to try to see
- 56:18Speaker 5: if we can if for some reason the insurance company
- 56:21Speaker 5: is like, sorry, we can't do anything either, at least
- 56:24Speaker 5: try to help her. My mom is almost seventy two
- 56:27Speaker 5: years old. She doesn't work, She's done everything by herself.
- 56:31Speaker 5: It's always just been me and my mom. That's the
- 56:34Speaker 5: house I grew up in.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's crazy, man, crazy to contact Orange County
- 56:42Speaker 2: Consumer Protection as well, DeAndre.
- 56:46Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, they might be able to help or give
- 56:48Speaker 3: you some more advice on the next best steps moving forward.
- 56:52Speaker 2: It says here that all the driveway was broken up.
- 56:53Speaker 2: They chipped it all up and then pulled out as
- 56:55Speaker 2: if they were prepping for a paver job. But like
- 56:58Speaker 2: she said, the pavers aren't even allowed in that a
- 57:00Speaker 2: That is that is so crazy. The thing is, even
- 57:02Speaker 2: if let's say this driveway company got scammed, right, but
- 57:06Speaker 2: they still went to a house. As the ander points out,
- 57:10Speaker 2: there was no permit for this job. They didn't pull
- 57:12Speaker 2: a permit. They're doing work on this house without any
- 57:16Speaker 2: confirmation from a homeowner. No one signed a contract for this. Yeah,
- 57:22Speaker 2: they have to ultimately be liable. You take them to court.
- 57:26Speaker 2: I think they have to pay small claims. I think
- 57:29Speaker 2: goes up to five thousand, does it not? And I
- 57:30Speaker 2: think it's their insurance who should be paying this. Yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 2: matter one hundred percent. She calls none of this, none
- 57:37Speaker 2: of this was started or caused by her, not even
- 57:40Speaker 2: a little bit. DeAndre, I think we solved this. What
- 57:42Speaker 2: do you think I think? Well, Deonder, thanks for taking
- 57:47Speaker 2: some time to call in and kind of clear this up.
- 57:48Speaker 2: That's great. We hope that you get some Look what's
- 57:50Speaker 2: the GoFundMe? Where can people find that?
- 57:54Speaker 5: Let me see, I don't know, I've never done.
- 57:56Speaker 2: A golf Okay, let's right he email, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 58:01Speaker 2: then we'll uh we'll talk about ye jacket real RADIOFM.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Do that please and uh and we wish you the
- 58:07Speaker 2: very best and have yourself a great weekend. Okay, and
- 58:09Speaker 2: tell your husband we said hi, all right.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Let's see and tell your mom happy mothers.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Yeah, the same same right four seven nine text us
- 58:17Speaker 2: seven seven zero three one. Not crazy that could you
- 58:19Speaker 2: imagine coming home and some random companies just chipped up
- 58:22Speaker 2: your blanket driveway?
- 58:23Speaker 3: Well this is so we didn't have that, but we
- 58:26Speaker 3: had a similar situation when when we were renting our
- 58:29Speaker 3: landlords had still lived in Sarasota and we're looking to
- 58:32Speaker 3: get like some stairways and porches and landings done and
- 58:37Speaker 3: they were just out bidding for the work. And this
- 58:40Speaker 3: is how you know you're getting scammed when you come
- 58:42Speaker 3: home and a couple of guys have already ripped up
- 58:44Speaker 3: the structure and said, oh, well, we thought we were
- 58:47Speaker 3: hired for the job.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Uh, Huh.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Those are the same guys that I ended up finding
- 58:50Speaker 3: drops of paint throughout our house as they were going
- 58:53Speaker 3: through our dressers and drawers. Jeez. Yeah, you know when
- 58:56Speaker 3: they get out and say, I just got out of
- 58:57Speaker 3: the hospital, but they didn't give me enough medication, so
- 59:00Speaker 3: have to go back.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Yea, yeah, right here we go. That is so crazy.
- 59:05Speaker 2: Just somebody just randomly chips up your driveway for nothing.
- 59:08Speaker 2: And by the way, at last, I got concrete right
- 59:11Speaker 2: the last time. I it's not even that you have
- 59:14Speaker 2: the money to buy it, like I think, just getting
- 59:16Speaker 2: on a list to get it, because I think the
- 59:19Speaker 2: wait for concrete right now is ridiculous, or it was
- 59:22Speaker 2: for a while because there were so many houses being built.
- 59:25Speaker 2: You just couldn't even get a truck to come over
- 59:27Speaker 2: to your house. If you weren't buying a lot of it.
- 59:29Speaker 2: They just wouldn't would come by. You had to wait.
- 59:32Speaker 2: They would sell you what they call leftover or what
- 59:34Speaker 2: there was a term to use. It was a concrete
- 59:36Speaker 2: that would be left at the end of the day
- 59:38Speaker 2: that they could just kind of pour out that they
- 59:39Speaker 2: would sell it to you, but you had to be
- 59:41Speaker 2: within a certain place because it would basically just drop
- 59:43Speaker 2: buy and dump it off on you. If you had
- 59:45Speaker 2: everything and you had to prep it and everything like
- 59:47Speaker 2: that's the best you could do. I'm serious. It was
- 59:49Speaker 2: crazy when I got it out in Geneva for a
- 59:52Speaker 2: job we were doing, I had to beg this guy.
- 59:54Speaker 2: I had to wait a month to get my concrete
- 59:57Speaker 2: and it wasn't even that much, maybe a little bit
- 59:58Speaker 2: decided like the size of a single driveway. What kind
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: of homeowners association won't let you have pavers? You have
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: a concrete driveways makes it look way better. Yeah.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Well the other question is too, I mean whether the
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: company felt they were duped or not, they're the ones
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: who did the unauthorized work. There's no reason why seventy
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: two year old women should have to come up with
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: five thousand dollars to fix their driveway when it wasn't
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: even a work order.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Correct. I can't believe there hasn't been a follow up
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: story online about this, because if that story was clear
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: and she explained that to the news station, you would
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: think that the news sessions would be all of this
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: is a Todd Ulrich wet dream, because I mean, he
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: loves this kind of stuff. When you get in there
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: and find somebody that's been screwed over and they can't
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: defend themselves or too old, or like this family here,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: they just don't have the resources to do anything like that. Man,
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: that's crazy. I would be in somebody's face like nuts.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Somebody just somebody texted a really good idea as a
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: way to for the company to look good. The company
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: should take this as a loss to get good pr
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: and show their quality of work so they can get
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: it as free advertising one percent.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: They should do that. That would be brilliant if they
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: did that. It's either that or small claims core. Yeah.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: So I just texted and said leftover concrete. It's called
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: hot mud. Oh nice, that'll be happening today at five
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: forty five. Oh, Jimmy's already warned me. I wondered today.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I came in and said, you got no chance against
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: picked the porn today. Kid, you're done. Just clock out
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: right around that time and go on home. You're done,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: So all right? Four O seven nine four one text
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: us at seven seven zero three one. Don't forget coin
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: C O I N That is your four o'clock keyword.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Just kick it over to real radio NFM and send
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: that away for your chance at one thousand dollars back
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: in a second with more of the gym gorg. I
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: guess I hope you guys are doing well so weird.
- 1:01:43Speaker 18: I think I know I'm getting old now because all
- 1:01:45Speaker 18: my friends are Rockville and Rolling Loud, and I worked
- 1:01:48Speaker 18: throughout the whole weekend starting at five am Tomorrow and Sunday.
- 1:01:52Speaker 19: Damn man.
- 1:01:53Speaker 18: Well, I don't really feel bad for myself, but dang,
- 1:01:55Speaker 18: now I know I'm getting old. Thanks bye bye.
- 1:01:58Speaker 20: Can confirm schooler suck. My wife was cafetarian manager for
- 1:02:03Speaker 20: years in a middle school, and our youngest is now
- 1:02:07Speaker 20: in middle school and is surrounded by all of those
- 1:02:10Speaker 20: other cretans, and he is neurodivergent, has picked up all
- 1:02:14Speaker 20: of their most horrible traits and uses them frequently and
- 1:02:18Speaker 20: gets in trouble quite frequently in school. But when we're
- 1:02:21Speaker 20: in there talking to staff, they're like, we're just happy
- 1:02:24Speaker 20: you're here. You and two other families are the only
- 1:02:26Speaker 20: parents to ever visit this off.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Whoa middle school is a game changer for kids and
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: it all it's a crapshoot on their friend group, really
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: the people they're surrounded with, and really that goes into adulthood,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: but you're right in middle school because that's I don't
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: know about you guys. That's where I formed my closest
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: relationships with friends I had for years. It's when you
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: first had freedom, when you're going class to class. Yeah,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: you know, from elementary school where you're combined with the
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: same kids in the same class and the teacher kind
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: of oversees everything. You get this certain autonomy in freedom
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: when you go to middle school and you're bouncing class
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: a class time in the hallway, meeting with friends groups,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: and you know. So it's that dynamic really shines, and
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: it can be pretty troublesome. That's why I say the
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: worst human beings on the point. Yeah, it's easy to
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: say too. Just to rolls right off the tongue coin
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: is your four o'clock. Hey, we're gonnabout ten minutes or
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: so to get over to the real radio dot of
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: him to send that away for your chance on one
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: thousand bucks. I'm Jim. There's deb Jack is here as well.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: What all right, I'm gonna give you guys something to watch.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: This is what would you do that?
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: It's gonna say, you've already given us the cult album
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: to listen.
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: I'm gonna gives.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you something to watch. You don't have
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: to watch it. I'm just saying, this is a great suggestion.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: My wife stumbled onto this. We talk about this all
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: the time. How she's able to just oh, comes from Torri,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: We'll listen. Yeah, yes, right, exactly. She's just gotta click
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: on something and get it. But she finds these little uh,
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: she finds these these reality shows that are the love
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: is blind. Uh, you don't marry the person until you
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: see him at the very last minute. I mean all
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: of these, all of these shows that you think are
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: gonna be terrible, and they're just painfully interesting. And I
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: don't know why this one, this one I could not
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: stop watching. I literally had to fall asleep to stop
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: watching it. And maybe you're sure I have the U.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: It's called Million Dollars Secret. Have you heard of it? No?
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: No, But the texting service lit up with people who were.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Like, yeah, they already know what I'm talking about.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: Oh, they're saying it's awesome.
- 1:04:24Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Netflix, it's a Netflix show. It's called Million Dollar Secret.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: This is the second season. I'd not heard of this before.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: My wife said, this is the second season of this
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: and do you the premise is very interesting, all right,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: So I believe it is eight eight or ten people,
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: five girls, five guys if I remember right, and each
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: of them are picked randomly and they go to this.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: They go to this beautiful estate like resort thing up
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: in Canada, and I mean it is crazy looking, right
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: like something to it looks like a it looks like
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: the English estate of like a royalty, like it's that badass.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: It looks fake almost, And so they give one they
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: everybody gets a box right like. It looks like a
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: humidor like kind of box, right, wooden box, and everybody
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: opens their box. One of those boxes has one million
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: dollars in it.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: Woo.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: The one of the other boxes has a clue. The
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: goal of the game, and I hope I get this
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: right is you have to try to convince people that
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: you aren't the one with the million dollars, because if
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: you make it to the end of the show and
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: you have the million dollar box, you win the million bucks.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Obviously not that easy, because when you have a million dollars,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: your personality changes a lot. And then they also give
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: you some They also give you some like some ways
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: to earn like some different kind of powers at the
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: end table, like you can be omitted from voting, you
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: could vote somebody else out of the room or whatever. Right,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: and their their challenges. The first guy happened to be
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: this black guy and he was the only black guy
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: in the entire show. No, I think there's one other dude.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: And then an Indian guy, middle Eastern guy, I should say,
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: And his challenge they gave him, they said, you have
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: to say this ten times by the end of the show,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: and if you do that, you get to knock somebody
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: off the show and you get some kind of immunity, right,
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: And what he had to say was the phrase no cap,
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: which is like slaying for I guess, don't lie or
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: you're lying or whatever. No lie right? No lie? Yeah,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: like no lying, no cap, I'm not lying, right, And
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: it so he had to have general conversations with people
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: that are trying to figure out if he's the millionaire,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: but nobody knows who has so they start asking each
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: other all these questions and man, I have to tell you.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: At first I was like, man, I don't know about this.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: By that third episode, I was like completely hooked.
- 1:06:49Speaker 11: It is.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: It is really such a human experiment and watching how
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: people can be manipulated into believing that something is true
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: when it's not, and all it takes is powerful suggestion.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: I'll give you a I'll give you a little an example.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: One of the girls, they thought that was the millionaire.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: They thought this because when they were out kind of
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: milling about, she was trying to do handstands. Well, somebody
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: automatically thought that was part of her challenge, right well
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: they in other words, they thought, they said, They said
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: to her, hey is the millionaire. If you go out
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: there and you successfully just try three handstands, you know
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: you are now immune. You have completed your challenge, right right.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: So one girl noticed her doing that, and all of
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: a sudden, through the owners, she goes, well that she
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: was starting to do the handstands. That seems like a
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: challenge to me. So it's got to be this girl,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: She's got to be the millionaire.
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: Everybody fell in line. One person suggested it, and it
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: was just a stab in the dark, but almost everybody
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: fell in line to believe that that person was that person. Dude,
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: I'm telling you, it's a crazy, entertaining show. And I'll
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: tell you a lot of these shows live and die
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: by the contestants, because if the contestants aren't good, not intriguing,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: they're boring, or they're douchebaggy. You know, it can ruin
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: the entire show, even if the premise is great. Man,
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: not this case. These guys picked everybody from this real steely,
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: fifty two year old woman, uh, to a like a
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: like a real estate mogul to a cowboy. It was,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: but it was a really entertaining show, you know, something
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: kind of fun and brainless to watch. Check out a
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: show called Million Dollars Secret on Netflix. I think you'll
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: like it, all right, Yeah, I'm serious, dude. You don't
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: like the reality show of those things, do you? No,
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: I don't mind. No, it's okay. I think Naomi will
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: love it all right, Well, good noted. Look, but I
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: don't know. I need something that that that we can
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: both watch. I will tell you after the third episode.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: This sounds crazy. I Uh, my wife was laying on
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: the other side of the bed. I'm laying on my
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: side of the bed, and when that last episode went
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: down before the next episode started, I leaned over and
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: I gave her a big kiss, and I said, great,
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: job finding something we can watch and get into together,
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: because that's hard to do sometimes. Yeah, like my my
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: TV kind of likes or not like where hers are
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: sometimes and it's rare for us to find something that
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: is in that middle where we can enjoy it. You
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: guys have that issue, not really, No, No, you find
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: something you like all together.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but if not, I've got the TV in the
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: bedroom and the remote control of.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: How about you, Jack, you like finding something like that? Well,
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: I have good taste, and there's a lot of things
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: I like that I'm interested in, and I will. I'm
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: willing to watch a new series, like I don't have
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: to be convinced to watch it, Like I just need
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: a little interest and then i'll if I watch the
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: first episode not feeling it, we can you know done.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: But my wife is like, if everything doesn't line up,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: like if it's not a comedy or a comedy or
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: something or or something funny, yeah, yeah, yeah, then she's out.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, you know, she's okay. Dramas are right, zero
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: act the action, no violence, no action, no violence. Not interested.
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: And see that's the funny thing is I like this
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: thriller kind of Jason Bourne. We're talking about with Emily
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: about that this past Monday. That's like one of my
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: favorite things to watch. My wife hates it. She hates it.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: You can't dislike it more. And it Actually our love
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: of horror movies is kind of waning a bit. We
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: haven't watched one in months. We just I don't know
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: what it is. It's just kind of you kind of
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: go in and out of those out of those things,
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: like I don't watch much. I don't watch comedy much
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: anymore because I don't know what it is. I just don't.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: I can't sit down. I like drama, I like good stories.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: I like thriller and action movies are fun TV. Though, Man,
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: that's a different thing for me. It's like, yeah, I
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: tried to find a star. I want somebody I know
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: that can pick a good script or at least gets
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: offered good scripts. So for me, when I see all
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: these new shows popping up on streaming, first thing I
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: do is I look for who is in it, because
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: if it has a good cast, chances are the show's
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: gonna be pretty good.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: So a new study suggests this generation is unsubscribing from
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: streaming services.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: What generation do you think that is?
- 1:11:02Speaker 17: Oh?
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: Where the hell are they going gen X? You think
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: gen X?
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you go gen X boomers, millennial gen ziemers.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Alpha. Oh my gosh, you know what I'll go. I'll
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: go younger than that. I'll go to the younger people
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: because they're going to like YouTube it such.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Are you going Alpha, I'll go Alpha. It's actually gen Z?
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: Is it really? Yeah?
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: According to Generations in Play twenty twenty six audience Insights
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: report from Dentsu and Ign Entertainment, fifty nine percent of
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: gen Z users surveyed actively subscribe and unsubscribed to streamers
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: to quote chase a single title end quote. So kind
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: of think of what Jack does when he needs, you know,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: what is it Netflix or YouTube wherever to get some
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: MLB games and then you'll cancel it right after the season.
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well I look for this special. Sometimes it's like
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: the one just like Apple TV it was like for
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: three months only, or Disney it was two ninety nine,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: three months only. And then you do it and instead
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: an alarm on your phone. Yeah it does. I did
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: set the alarm, but I also learned if you do
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: it then cancel it right away, you're good until that deadline,
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: and then it does not auto regal. Oh really yeah wow.
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: Well this is also showing while gen Z is learning
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: from the book of Bradshaw, sixty two percent of gen
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: Z won't pay full price for video games. Well, seventy
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: one percent of stop buying physical music, and seventy percent
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: no longer buy hard copies of TV shows and movies.
- 1:12:37Speaker 11: No.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Wait, so that's the duration after US. Yeah, so that
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: would know. They're the generation after millennials for millennials. Yeah,
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: they're younger than raws.
- 1:12:45Speaker 21: Gen Z.
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, gen Z our daughters. Wow, really yeah, that's gen Z,
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: So they're there. Gosh, they've got to be in their
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: mid twenties to early thirties with Z his elphas after that.
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: What's interesting, though, is that gen Z is thirty teen
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: percent more likely to attend a weekend opening of a
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: movie than older moviegoers. They're the ones that theater goers
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: are really leaning on, yeah, to save the movie theater
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: business because more than any other generation boomers, gen X, millennials,
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: it's gen Z that's going to the movie.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: And that's crazy because that adds right up. Believe it.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: I mean, my daughters have that Jack Bradshaw gene where
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: they do that Tuesday night movie thing at AMC where
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: it's like ten dollars or eight dollars or five dollars
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: wherever it is to see a movie. Yeah, so glad
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: everyone's starting to see the light. And so they have
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: like a Tuesday night date. And can I tell you
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: they don't even care what movies are out. They will
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: go to the theater because they're only paying five dollars
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: and they will just try to watch something just because
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: it's out. They don't care.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: And they also said that gen Z they're unsubscribing means
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: quote platform loyalty is effectively dead.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: Oh goodness, gracious, how crazy is that?
- 1:13:53Speaker 4: They're all about the price?
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Baby all right? Four seven nine six four one text
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: us seven seven zero three ones, take a little breakway,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: have a keyword for you at the top of the hour. Here,

- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Real Radio one oh four point one.
- 1:14:26Speaker 22: Jim James, I don't know if you had this in
- 1:14:29Speaker 22: your house but when I was a kid growing up,
- 1:14:32Speaker 22: my folks said them big old wooden.
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: Spoon and fork.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Yeah customary.
- 1:14:41Speaker 22: Back still bad, but yeah, I got smart with my pops.
- 1:14:45Speaker 22: She just reached over and grabbed it and proceeded to
- 1:14:49Speaker 22: break that over my head.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: Well that's memories, right, yeah. Yeah, memories also explain some things.
- 1:14:57Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: We had those in our kids. Everybody DoD I'm tell
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: you it was customary. If you lived in the South,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: you had to have the big wooden spoon in the
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: big water, the big spoon. Media is your five o'clock keyword,
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: that's M E. D. I a slide over to your
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: real radio dot FM and send that away for your
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: chance on one thousand bucks. Guys, media, that is your keyword.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: Good luck. Go get that money. Had some wonders here recently,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Go get that cash.
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: Yeah, I get it.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I'm Jim. There's deb Jack is here as well. I
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: got a cool story coming up at five point twenty
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: one of these am I the a whole stories that
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: is really interesting, So we'll do that around five twenty.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: So I got a quick question. I saw something online
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: today and it was a Facebook post and it was
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: a woman bitching about something and I wanted to ask
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: if it doesn't have to be the entire segment. I
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: just wanted to ask what you guys think about this?
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: All right?
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Do you guys don't garage sale or anything? Do you? No,
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: you don't really do it? Jack not a posed to it,
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: But I have to see something right from my car,
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: right that pulls me in, right, So I don't do
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: it as much as I used to.
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: I used to do it quite a bit every weekend,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: thing with one of your daughters, right, Yeah, Actually.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: We would load the entire cab up, we would go
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: get coffee, and we would drive around and do grudge.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: And that's where I taught my kids how to negotiate
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: for stuff when they're buying things, right, is going up
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: and you know, just trying to negotiate with the people
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: to get the best deal possible by buying in bulk
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: or choosing certain things. And it's worked out pretty well
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: for him.
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: So I don't do as much anymore. But I saw
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: a lady online today and she was complaining because somebody
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: in her neighborhood had a garage sale and she was
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: sick and tired of people using her driveway to back
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: up and turn around, and the question was and by
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: the way, she was upset. She also said, in the
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: context of the email, she understood this probably didn't look
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: great because what's the harm kind of thing? But then
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: she's exactly what I was hearing. But she then posed
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: the question, She said, am I wrong here?
- 1:16:55Speaker 23: You know?
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Am I wrong for being upset that for about six
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: hours on a Saturday, you know, people were using my
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: driveway because of its position and where the garage sale
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: was is. They were pulling up, backing in and then
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: turning around. Because of the way the neighborhood was configured,
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: it was the easiest thing to do. She has a
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: double driveway, and they keep both of their cars in
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: the parking or in the in the car port, so
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: the driveway or in the garage, so the driveway itself
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: was wide ass open. And there are myriad answers. And actually,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: be honest with you, it was probably about fifty to
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: fifty as I could read. I went down and probably
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: looked at about thirty of them or so, and about
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: half thought it was rude, and about half said that
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: you it's not a big deal. And to be honest
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: with you, I's other answers too. There's nothing rude about it.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: But I've done it one hundred times, and I can
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: tell you after I read this, I was like, I mean,
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: I don't know that I would want people using my
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: driveway as a turnaround for six hours on a Saturday.
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: I don't think i'd want that. For one thing, You're
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: on my property. Now, what if something happens, like am
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: I liable for that? And like you pull into my
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: driveway your truck breaks down, or you you hit something
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: or whatever the case may be. Is am I liable
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: that you're on my property? I didn't stop you from
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: doing it. Wait, aren't they on the first ten feet?
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: That's the easeman, right, Yeah, But I mean they were
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: using the driveway that they're literally pulling up and then
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: turning around, So they were putting at least half of
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: their vehicle into her driveway. And and like, what do
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: you like if that happened to you? Somebody ad a
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: grid sale and they use your driveway to back up
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: over and over and over and over for like you know,
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: this thing's usually run from like eight till two.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: You know, I'd be a little peeved, But at the
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: same time, I would just tell myself Listen, this is
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: a one off. This isn't This isn't something that happens
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: all the time, you know, and especially if you've seen
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: you've seen our driveways.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: I mean we regularly have to lean on neighbors just
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: because we.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: Have a very long driveway, right yeah, but I mean
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: once you're parked in there, like it's easy for me
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: to get parked in right, yeah, I would be peeved,
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: but I would also try and be understanding if it
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: becomes a habit.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: Yeah, if they're once once a month, garage said discussion.
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: She actually wound up backing her cars out of the
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: garage down to the front of the driveway, blocking the driveway, which.
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: Is the easiest answer in and that's exactly what she said.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: She goes, after, you know, after three or four hours
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: of it, I got sick and tired of it, but
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: we don't know why. And then she goes, we just
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: backed our cars out of the driveway all the way
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: down to the sidewalk and just left them there. Nobody
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: did it anymore. It's funny you say, I don't know why, Like,
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: but why, I mean, if you're you're taking action, you
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: can't say I don't know why. I'm getting why it's
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: bothering me. It just does well, I mean, I get
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: come on, but that can happen, though, can it. Don't
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: you have something that's irrational that you're like, man, that's
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: all my nerves and it's completely irrational because it's not
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: hurting me. It's not harming me at all, but for
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: some reason, until my nerves because it's happening on my property.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: I mean I could completely understand it, to be honest
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: with you, but I mean I, oh, you would totally
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: be pissed.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: I would back my cars down immediately, immediate. Matter of fact,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: we used to have ouns we put up and we
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: would put them up in the front of the driving
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: when people had those. We just didn't want people on
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: our property. You are that guy. I am that guy.
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: You're right, yeah, but one hundred I would say, what
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: even makes more annoying? Let's say you have a ring
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: camera ye our motion at everything, Then you'd be getting
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: notifications every time there's a lot I say, level of annoying.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: It's like the bell on a convenience store door. Oh yeah,
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: oh could you every single time I go into a
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: convenience store and these old ass rundown coupland farming convenience
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: stores and you open it's it's got that.
- 1:20:34Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: I'm like, how long do I think I could work
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: at the counter? Hearing every three seconds?
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: I would say about thirty minutes.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: I would last. I would just set it on fire
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: and leave it. Couldn't take it at all. I found
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: that to be an interesting question because I've done it
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: so many times to people. I have literally backed up
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: in people's driveways over and over, and I felt like
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: a complete dick. I read the story, I was like,
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: I should have because there are opportunities they've just gone
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: down use the cult a sacker or done something else
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: and turned around or what say, there's no call to sack.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: What are you supposed to do? Keep driving around the
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: block instead of just turning around by the turn. I
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: mean that's what I do now. Now, don't put your
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: tires on the is that it not? Put your tires
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: on that little on the ramp to the driveway.
- 1:21:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: And the other thing somebody brought up in the in
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: the in the in the comments was is you know
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: what if they miss and they're driving on your grass? Now?
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: She never said that that happened but I will tell
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: you I've seen that happen. And also sprinkler head get
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: busted up because somebody backed up and they didn't have
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: their backup right, and they backed up some sprinkler had
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: and busted it up. I'd be so pissed off. I mean,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: not that they're super expensive, it's just a pain in
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: the ass.
- 1:21:45Speaker 4: Well then you're left to fix it.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, this is like a This can be a big issue,
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: like in a city like Mount Dora where parking is
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: at a premium, right, and when they see that you
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: have a you know, fairly large driveway, it's like, hey,
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: do you mind if I park here? And say, yeah,
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: I do because I don't want Yeah, well we've thought
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: about that. It's like I don't want the liability for
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: your vehicle or your persons while you're on my property.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: And look, a lot of these new neighborhoods that are built.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: My wife's closest friend lives in one of these neighborhoods
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: where the houses are pretty close together and the roads
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: are relatively narrow, so there really isn't a lot of room.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: And some of them also have rules where you can't
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: park out on side of the curb. You have, your
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: car has to be in a driveway. Now, hers isn't
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: like that, but some of them offer very little space
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: because they're trying to maximize the area they can develop.
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: So the roads are narrow, the houses are real close together,
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: the driveways are super narrow.
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: Is it Baldwyn Park? No, it's not Baldwin, but okay,
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: but it's like Baldwin.
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: But you can go up and down a novido and
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: find these old neighborhoods like this all around. Matter of fact,
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: we can find them in Mount Door as well, where
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: there's just not much space anywhere.
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: Almost bought in one.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: And trying to back up in three point turn one
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: of those things is a nightmare.
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: And that's and that's you know, part of the reason
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: why I don't think this house is going to work
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: for us. Oh yeah, yeah, it's just because the parking
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: was ridonculous.
- 1:22:59Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:23:00Speaker 3: And if it's ridoculous for the two people who live there,
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: what what is it going to be like when you
- 1:23:04Speaker 3: try and invite family and friends?
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: Right right right? Are you the millionaire? Is that why
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: you're using the oculus? Is that the secret is that
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: the secret work? Cap No? Cap uh? Did people in
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: the text he's ever say they were watching that show
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: The Millionaire Secret Couple A couple yeaheah. I mean it's
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: a good show, so you should check it up, all right?
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine one six four one can always
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: text us at seven seven zero three one. What texter
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: or nails it. This is exactly what's wrong with the
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: world today, Okay, everybody not caring about other people or
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: just not being willing to put up with some little
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: action that somebody else did might inconvenience you. So he's
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: on the side of somebody using your driveway to turn around.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: I would read that. That's what I get from that.
- 1:23:48Speaker 19: Yeay.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: In other words, she's being irrational by bitching about it.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: It's like, I mean, how would you feel though, Okay,
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Saturday after the Saturday morning, you're in your house and
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: somebody's having a great sale right around the corner, Like
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: every five minutes, somebody's using your driveway to back up
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: and turn around. That wouldn't be annoying. I'm fine, as
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: I'd say, it would be different if I had kids
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: who would be outside play. Yeah, that's that's that's the issue.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: It's a place to be, you know, And I needed
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: to get in and out of my own But it
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: sounds like they're just using it to turn around.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Made for driving. Yeah, yeah, if the gres was two
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: doors down from her place. So what happened was people
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: would park before it, then they would go get in
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: their car and they would drive past it. And her
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: driveway was the first accessible driveway to be able to
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: pull in and turn around, and everybody used it, she said,
- 1:24:35Speaker 2: almost nobody. People are literally waited for them to do it,
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: and it was a line of people doing I would
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: you know the uh you saw it after property? Yeah,
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: you could check with Ross's neighbors the day after his
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: holiday party. Every year he has a holiday party. Every
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: time I met ross Is it's always past the house.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: It's I don't know where that road goes, but I
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: know I have to go back the other way. Oh really,
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: so I always do a three point turn or yeah,
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: basically in the driveway when Code Black used to have
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: I remember, I think this is right when Code Black
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: used to have big parties. He lives on a straight
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: road there where people would have to park on the
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: side of the road. Yeah, some of the neighbors are
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: not cool. The guy who lives right across the street
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: from him is unbelievably uncool about stuff like that and
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: has called the cops on him multiple times. So what
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: he does now is he literally walks down the street
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: and goes having a party on Saturday, having a party
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: on like pre warning everybody, Hey, look, we're having to
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: get together. There's gonna be some people parking on the
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: side of the road. I've told everybody not to park
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: on your grass, but there will be some people parked
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: here and that's legal, and it is legal, but maybe
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: not overnight parking, but parking on the road at least
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: on one side sometimes like where the traffic is going. Yeah.
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: In my town, they said you can't park on both sides.
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, because I remember we had a poker game
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: but my neighbor's house. We did a tournament in his
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: house and the cops came on the door and were like, ah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: you can't hide. The cops busted our poker game. And
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: it was just about parking. You can't park on like
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: if one car is on one side, you can't be
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: on the other because you have to have enough room
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: for bigger vehicles to get through the right. Sailors do
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: not do that. They park and they give you, man,
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: you can't get a bicycle through there. Sometimes it's ridiculous
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: how lazy people are. They just want to be as
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: close as possible. But I thought that was a really
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: cool thing. And Copleck's a cool guy, so he would
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: do something like that. But that's actually a pretty good protocol,
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: is to walk around just tell your neighbors, hey, look, man,
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: having a little get together this uh coming up this weekend.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: There's gonna be a lot of people here. I apologize
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: for in inconvenience. We've warned them in advance, don't don't
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: park on your property, don't come on your property, and
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: it should be out of thereby New yor twelve. That
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: should also come with an invitation to the party. You're right,
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: it should, but it didn't know it's like a week
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: we're not sharing that part of the party. Jack all right,
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: four oh seven nine one six one four to one. Again,
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: you can always text us seven seven zero three one.
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: Your five o'clock keyword is media. That's m E.
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: D I A.
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: Go to real radio dot FM and send that away
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: for your chance at one thousand dollars. Okay. So I
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: was faced with a decision to make and he made
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: a decision and it did not sit well. And when
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: you hear what he decided to do, I think maybe
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: you'll understand why. I'll tell you the story next.
- 1:27:15Speaker 21: Just imagine one of those vehicles has a massive oil
- 1:27:17Speaker 21: leak and leaves. Even if it's two or three drops
- 1:27:20Speaker 21: of oil on a perfectly clean driveway, then you have
- 1:27:24Speaker 21: to clean it. Also, what if something's dragging and they.
- 1:27:28Speaker 5: Scrape up the driveway.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: Good points.
- 1:27:31Speaker 21: Not only that, but we all should have learned how
- 1:27:34Speaker 21: to do three point turns before we got our license.
- 1:27:38Speaker 21: That's the reason for three point turns, so you don't
- 1:27:41Speaker 21: invade other people's space.
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: We all need to learn how to turn down the
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: radio during talkbacks too. We can introduce the lady that
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: complains about people turning around in your driveway to the
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: lady just gout her driveway stolen. Okay, that's funny. Check
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: out a picture of it up a minute ago. Boy,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: they blank her over, good Lord of Mercy. Media, that
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: is your five o'clock keyword. M E D I A.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: Just kick it over to real radio dom and send
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: it away from your chance at one thousand bucks. Guys, media,
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: that is the word go get it. I hope you
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: went some money. I'm Jiminnor's deb Hello Jack his ears one, Yeah, gratings.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: All right. I think we've all had decisions that are
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: difficult to make in life. And actually I have a
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: story that kind of goes parallel with what I'm about
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: to tell you about. All right. So there's a guy
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: out there.
- 1:28:31Speaker 24: His name is.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: G.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: Scott Senior. G. E. E. Scott Senior.
- 1:28:38Speaker 11: All right.
- 1:28:39Speaker 2: He is an MC right okay, and he got hired
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: to do a pretty cool job. Right. The job is
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: he will m C six FIFA World Cup Games, okay,
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: all right, and that is a big deal for him.
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: He said it was an incredible oportune. He says, this
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: is one of those things where it is literally once
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: in a lifetime opportunity for him to do something cool
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: like that. It doesn't really mention the money he's making
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: to kind of give you an idea of, you know what,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: if it's just a thing for him, or if it's
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: a monetary thing that he can't pass up because the
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: money's so good. But it doesn't feel like that. It
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: feels like this is just something that he wants to do.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: He's an MC get an opportunity to be on a
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: gigantic platform like a World Cup game. You could see
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: where that would be a big deal. Right, Absolutely, there
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: is a hitch. He is going to miss something to
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: be a part of the World Cup MC events. Oh,
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: no daughter wedding, birth of his child, daughter's wedding, son's wedding,
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: his wedding. He's going to miss his son's wedding. He's
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: going to miss his son's wedding to MC some soccer
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: game as at the World Cup. Buddy, it's world Yeah,
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: four years marriage, it's your son and he's getting married,
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: and he's not going to make it because he's gonna MC.
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: Now.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: He says, he's been catching stray's at home and around
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: all the time. His son says now, or he says,
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: his son says, look that I understand. I understand you're
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: gonna catch a lot of hell for this, but I
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: do understand the value of this moment for you, and
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: I basically give you my blessing. But even the dad said,
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: in the context of him saying that, not sure he
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: bought it naturally, yeah, because I mean your son. Look,
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: you know, look, man, my son would probably say the
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: same thing. I want to be honest with you now.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: My wife would never talk to me again, but my
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: son would probably say, pop, I get it, you know
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: you Like, if let's say I got offered to caddy
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: at the Masters, to carry somebody's bag at the Masters, right,
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: and you're talking about like you can't even believe a
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: lifetime experience. Just to go is a lifetime experience. To
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: be on property, be part of the tournament would be unbelievable.
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: My son would look at me without a pause and say, Dad,
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: go do that. I understand, right, And we're going to
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: get married and we'll celebrate when you get done or
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: something like that, no question, because when it's his fault
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: wedding during the Masters, it would not stop me. You're
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: kind of right. It would not stop me from feeling
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: like a complete donkey. And even then, I don't know
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: if I would do it. I don't know if I
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: could live with myself missing my son's wedding is over
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: something like that.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: I don't think my wife would open the door.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Oh well, no, I can't even begin to tell you
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: how I should react, Like I don't I don't know
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: how well I know that would go unbelievably poorly if
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: that were to happen. If I were to choose something
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: else over one of our kid's weddings, that would be
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: that would be a bad, bad day. Maybe the last
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: bad day. Yeah, maybe the last bad day. This guy
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: couldn't like do. I don't know how many gigs did
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: he have? What's a handful of games? He couldn't do
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: all but one? Yeah, I don't know, buddy. It doesn't
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: really really. It's a relatively short article. It just kind
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: of goes into the idea that that he's making this
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: decision over going to his son's wedding, and then of course,
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: at the end of the story it says, you know,
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: my son's kind of good. He's good a matter of fact,
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: I can he well he he quotes it. He goes,
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: does it bother me?
- 1:32:17Speaker 22: Yeah?
- 1:32:17Speaker 2: I'm human, right, I'm human. It's the biggest fomo. Does
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: it hurt? Is it something I don't even like talking about?
- 1:32:23Speaker 8: Yes?
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: I don't even like talking about it. And when my
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: wife brings up, I don't like talking about it. That's
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: how much it bothers me.
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:32:30Speaker 2: He says that Scott's son understands he goes even to
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: the groom. Quote gets it. He doesn't expect anybody else to.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: In other words, his son said to him, although I understand,
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: I don't expect anybody else in the family to kind
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: of understand where you're coming from on this, because it
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: seems pretty egregious. Told him it was he was going
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: to catch a lot of strays. Yeah, yeah, yeah, one
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: hundred percent.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: And uh because even nf I mean, even professional sports
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: players will miss a game because it's the birth of
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: their child.
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah yeah. And I had a
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: similar situation like this when I was younger. I missed you.
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: My closest friend at the time, when I was in
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: high school was getting married to his high school sweetheart
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: matter fact, they're still together to this day, right, And
- 1:33:19Speaker 2: I was really close with this guy. We were very
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: good friends, right, And I did not go to his
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: wedding because at that time, my fiance was graduating from
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: college and I chose to go support my fiance at
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: the time rather than go to my very close friend's wedding.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: And he never forgave me for it. And since that
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: day we've probably spoken three times. And that happened in
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: eighty nine or ninety ninety one, something like that, so
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: I haven't spoken to him more than three times in
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: thirty years, and we were inseparable before that. He could
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: not understand how I could prioritize a graduation over his wedding. Yeah,
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: but it was your right, and that's what I told him.
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: I said, your fiance at the time. Huh, this is
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: a tough one. Yeah, you don't think best friend. Yeah.
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: It was my closest friend at the time for sure. Yeah,
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: no question. We spent our entire senior year and most
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: of my junior year hanging out. Either I was at
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: his house, we were surfing, we were riding around, we
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: were listening to music. We were doing something literally five
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: six days a week. Oh so he thought you put
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: your whole before your bro. Yeah, yeah he did. But
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: so fiance, this is the woman you ended up marrying. Yeah,
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: this was my first wife, got a rest of her soult. Yeah,
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: when she graduated from UCF, it was a big, big deal.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: What was her take on this? On you missing the wedding?
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: She didn't think wise about it. I mean I was.
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's where I should be. I should
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: be there with her. That's how you feel to this day. No, Yeah,
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: that's how I feel to this date. That's how she
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: felt as well, and I agree with it. I wouldn't
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: have ever missed her graduation to go to his wedding,
- 1:34:55Speaker 2: not a million years you go, yeah, because I mean
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: that's then you made the right decision. Well, I mean
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: that's all relative, right, because I don't talk to this
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: guy anymore. And I guess, Look, if if something that simple,
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: I guess can come between you, maybe way weren't as
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: close as I thought. That's a legit point. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: Maybe then Have you ever had anything like that where
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: you had to make a decision?
- 1:35:12Speaker 23: Uh?
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: And uh and kind of uh askew or issue one
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: part of the equation or the other. Didn't go to
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: my aunt's funeral? Oh god, that's a good one. Were
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: you guys close?
- 1:35:25Speaker 24: Uh?
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: I've all I yeah, to a degree? Yeah, not too close,
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: not overly close.
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I like he didn't ask you that?
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean is that but but when it comes
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: to like events where you're supposed to show up, Yeah,
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: where does funeral stand? Like, let me ask you a question,
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: is it more important? Would it have been more important
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: to go to her wedding or her funeral?
- 1:35:47Speaker 25: No?
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: Oh, that's a tough one. Oh, that's a tough one.
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: See the funeral, you're saying goodbye forever. But also they're
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: not Yeah they don't know. Yeah, they can't read these
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: they can't read the sign in book. Like I mean,
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: if I would have missed your wedding for something arbitrary,
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: you would have been pretty pissed off, right, No, you
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: wouldn't have No God dogg and I don't drinking. I
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: knew it. Yeah. Well, I mean, by the way I've
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: done this with you, you and I have had this
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: scenario with no, not with sudpupps, and well that happened.
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: That was a that was on vacation. Yeah, that broke
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: my heart. That was that was an event for the show.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: That was a completely different scenario. What I'm talking about is, oh,
- 1:36:27Speaker 2: you're gonna love this one and this one to this
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: day he still gets brought up a little bit. You
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: know what I'm talking about?
- 1:36:32Speaker 10: You do?
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: You ready? So when Deborah did a reading of the
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: Vagina Monologues as part of as part of a as
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: start of as part of a promo that we're doing
- 1:36:44Speaker 2: or something like that. Deb was doing Lady James and
- 1:36:47Speaker 2: you are doing a live reading at this place. It
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: was a packed house or a couple hundred people there.
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: And it just so happens that was the same night
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: that my wife and our friends were going to see
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: Garth Brooks, right, And uh, my wife said, are you
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: going to Garth Brooks? And I said, well, I gave
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: deb my word that I would come to the Vagina Monologues,
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: and I don't. I really don't want to go back
- 1:37:09Speaker 2: on it. And I told Deb this, and Deb even said, Jimmy, don't,
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: you don't need to, like, you can go if you want.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: I said, well, I gave you my word, and I'm
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: going to go. And I brought my daughter and we
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: came and we saw the show. And my wife went
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: with our friends to see Garth Brooks.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: And said it was one of the best concerts, one.
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: Of the best, one of the best, top three shows
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: she's ever seen.
- 1:37:30Speaker 26: Yeah.
- 1:37:30Speaker 2: Fortunately they talked about it literally for three months afterwards,
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: and uh, yeah, well you should have been there. Unfortunately,
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: in hindsight, I probably would have done that. I probably
- 1:37:39Speaker 2: would have just picked up another time.
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: But because you said you gave your word, no matter
- 1:37:43Speaker 3: what myself or anyone else would have said, you would
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: not have exonerated yourself.
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: I would have felt bad about it because I did
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: give you.
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: My word, and and that thing, but that that meant everything.
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: That you gave me your word.
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: That was awesome. Yeah, but that was and and the
- 1:37:57Speaker 2: other thing too, is the concert was booked. We knew
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: about We found out about that after the fact, so
- 1:38:01Speaker 2: it already made these plans. So I would have had
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: to break history of double booking. I would have had
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: And look here's the thing. I'm not a gigantic Garth
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: Brooks fan. I would have gone because my wife and yeah,
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: my wife and friends are big Garth Brooks fans, and
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: I know enough of the songs. I could have certainly
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: enjoyed myself, and no problem. It just you know, I
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: give you my word. That's I don't know, that's what
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: you're supposed to do, right.
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: I mean yes, and no, I didn't need you to
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: give me your word. You did give me your word.
- 1:38:28Speaker 3: But then when the conflict came up, I would have
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: completely understood.
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: I know, but I didn't.
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: It's a lot easier to read my vagina part without
- 1:38:36Speaker 3: having to look out at the audience and see your face.
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: I appreciate the support.
- 1:38:42Speaker 11: Jack.
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: I think I killed Jimmy. I sat in the back.
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: I could still sense you.
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: Some Texters are said it in some crazy situation.
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, hit me with that. That's great. Let's see this one.
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: My best friend of twenty years decided not to fly
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: home from a vacation to be at my son's funeral.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: I haven't spoken in nine years. That's a tough one, man,
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: That's tough because that's the that's worst day ever for
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: being a parent. Oh man, your friend isn't gonna be
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: for that? You need all. Well, here's here's the thing.
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: Is there any excuse that could get you out of that?
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: What would have to have had? What what would that
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: guy have to be like committed to to not go
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: like a wedding, I mean, like the most important business
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: meeting of his life. Look, I mean that's a that's
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: a short list of things that can over trump that.
- 1:39:35Speaker 3: How about seven seven zero three one missed my grandpa's
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: funeral to Caddy at Pebble, got paired with Tiger Woods
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: the first three rounds and Sergio Garcia the last day.
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: Oh god, that's a tough one. Up exactly. I thought
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: I would have probably had to visit that or a
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: pop up a little bit after that. Oh, how about
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: this one. You and your partner, Yeah, going to Turkey
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: for vacation, for a vacation tour. They die on the
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: plane over and you continue with the tour. The partner
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: dies on the plane and they continue on. They ship
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: the body back and you go on to vacation. Who
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: could do that? Someone who's maybe behind it? Evil? Oh
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: you you are evil. Get out of here with that.
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: Gosh almighty, I don't ever consider that in a million years.
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: Then you don't watch enough investigation discop Okay, speaking which
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: you have this year, SAIDs Pups and Pipe. They you
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: know the poker tournament is August fifteenth, right, you get
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: on now, yeah, right, not gonna be on the cruise.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: Sure, it's the end of all September, okay, because we
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: will have another Jim Culbert Show lookalike contest last.
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: Saturday in September, is SAIDs. Pups and in Mondora. All right,
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: very good, got it right there, first Saturda to day
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: in October, best of challenge, you said, the last of
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: the first, last, the last twenty sixth, all right, last
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: weekend you every got.
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: Guy, It's only May, It's only May.
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: Should we just be communicated with direct to Tory. He
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: probably should. Yeah, she's gonna have a well, she's the
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: one that screwed us over for the last one, screwed
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: us over, She bolgi. Well, she surprised me with a
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: really nice trip, and it kind.
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: Of said, don't say screwed met us over, because then
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: you're gonna have to look.
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: She's gonna say I screwed you, surprised.
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: No respect for your job. She thinks you come here
- 1:41:34Speaker 2: just to play on the radio. Oh yeah, yeah she is.
- 1:41:37Speaker 14: What do you do?
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: What are you doing over there? She's basing that by
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: what you do?
- 1:41:42Speaker 11: It all?
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: You can't clean the counters?
- 1:41:43Speaker 11: What do you do?
- 1:41:44Speaker 2: A friend posted the cabinet doors.
- 1:41:46Speaker 3: A friend postponed his dad's funeral to go on a
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: week long cruise.
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, was it free? Oh my goodness, I did.
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: I'll tell you when it's so funny you say that
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: one because I did one. I did see one on
- 1:41:57Speaker 2: Reddit today where a guy's boss the I text his
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: boss or emailed his boss and said, hey, look my
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: father passed away. I need to do take some time off.
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: And the guy actually asked the guy to put his
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: dad on ice for a couple of days, so he
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: because there are two other employees out. He goes, well,
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: so and So's out and this other guy's out. Can
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: you postpone the funeral, like put your dad on ice
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: for a few extra days so that we can get
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: this done first. Uh? You know what kind of sack
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: it takes to say something like that to somebody.
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:42:26Speaker 3: Well, someone that we know in love on the show
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: very very much texted us at seven seven zero three one.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: As a fairly new bride, I can commiserate with this.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: My best friend was on tour in Spain and was
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: supposed to fly home to be in my wedding. She
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: told me three weeks before that she wasn't coming because
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: it was too much of a hassle to fly back.
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: Well that means they really weren't friends, right, I mean,
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: we can figure that out. Those people are not friends.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: Well, unfortunately this person learned that three weeks before this
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: this person was probably going to be her maid of honor.
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: Could you imagine that they have so many duties that day.
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: I mean they take care of tips, they take the
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: rings and all kinds of stuff.
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: Could you imagine that? Now?
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: I had a situation like that myself. So when I
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: first moved to Florida. One of my college best friends
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: was getting married and I simply just didn't have the money.
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: I had no one to ask, no one to borrow
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: BA Wisconsin exactly, well, Minnesota, Minneapolis. I didn't have the
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: money for the dress. I didn't have the money for
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: the and they said they understood.
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: But we never spoke.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: Not much after that. Yeah, like maybe once or twice,
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: and they didn't come to my wedding.
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: Oh really Yeah, Yeah, it's so wild with that whole
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: thing with the bridesmaids. It's such a it is a
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: so tip for town. It's such a burden too. Yeah.
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: You know, you buy the dress, you gotta make the travels.
- 1:43:45Speaker 2: You know, you inviting somebody to a wedding is going
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: to cost them like a thousand bucks exactly. So it's
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: like a weird thing there. Yeah, that's wild, all right.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine six four one text us seven
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: seven zero three one time, Hey.
- 1:43:59Speaker 8: Guys, day talking about missing events. My buddy was getting married.
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: I totally flaked and forgot and had the chance to
- 1:44:06Speaker 8: hook up with this chick and went and stay at
- 1:44:07Speaker 8: a hotel in Daytona. Missed his wedding, but I gave
- 1:44:11Speaker 8: him a bunch of pesos because he was going to Mexico,
- 1:44:13Speaker 8: had a great time, and then when he got divorced,
- 1:44:16Speaker 8: he was like, yeah, Mark, maybe you didn't a day.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: All right, Welcome back to the Jim Culbert Show. We're
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: all Radio one four point one. Thanks for tuning in.
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: We appreciate that, as we do every single day. Media
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: is your five o'clock keyword. Got about ten minutes or
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: so to get over to real radio dot FM and
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: send that away for your chance of one thousand bucks. Remember,
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: if you're playing the game guys, phone on phone near
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: you and you have to pick it up when it rings,
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: even if it says like no caller ID or out
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: of the area or a number you do not recognize.
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: If you're in the game, you gotta pick it up

- 1:46:06Speaker 2: three actual adult film titles and one line that has
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: supervised visits with its kids. This is gonna be a
- 1:46:13Speaker 2: good one and a cold sore, all right, Tracy? Which
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: one of these is not an actual adult film title?
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: Are you ready? All right?
- 1:46:24Speaker 19: Here we go?
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: Number one sounds a little scared.
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: Legs Benedict, number two, Cream Rents, Number three, thumb Plumber
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: or lastly rearranging the Basement. Oh dear, which of those
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: is not an actual adult film title? Number one? No,
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: that's absolutely true. Leg's Benedict is not only one of
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: the most clever names I've ever heard for an adult
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: film title. That is quite a cover. Can you describe it? No, man, there's.
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: No.
- 1:47:06Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: Maybe during the breakout your fingers. Yeah yeah, get the cameras.
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: Black out will show you, all right, one, two, three

- 1:47:14Speaker 2: Three? Is Carol? Carol? How you doing? I'm good, Good Carol.
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: Find out which one of these is not the actual
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: adult film title and you win. Here we go Number one,
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: Cream Rents, No. Number two, thumb Plumber or lastly rearranging
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: the Basement Number two thumb Plumber. Yeah, that's the one.
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: You're This girl knows her porn. That's right, all right, Carol.
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: She did not deny it. She just laught. Did you did?
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: You're such a nasty I can feel it, all right, Carol,
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: thanks a lot, Thanks for playing. We appreciation yourself a
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: great weekend. Your thumb plumber is not an actual Mother's
- 1:47:56Speaker 2: Day yeah, same. Yeah, uh cream rints is and so
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: is rearranging the basement.
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: Care to share what those titles it looks like now?
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: And a couple of do not make the cut milfwood
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: U s a milfwood, milfwood, frisky kiddies and by poll her.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: It's the play on words. Yeah, exactly what is that
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: one about?
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: Okay? Four seven nine six. A couple of friends came
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: over and they played a board played a board game
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: pole nobody was born. It was uh yeah, all right,
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: excuse me, I know, sorry, guys four seven one o
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: four one text us at seven seven homework for this
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: show zero it is not good good enough? Have to
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: do Oh by the way, I mean, we're going to
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: get into this in a few minutes. But so what
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: do you think they're calling Hollywood's four oh one K
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: or Hollywood? It's actually Hollywood's retirement plan and invest only
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: fans of the because Jamie Presley, Yeah, Jamie Presley signed
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: up today. And this is on the heels of Shannon
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Elizabeth signing up for it, on the heels of Carmen
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: Electra signing up for it. So they've had some pretty
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: you know, some some relatively notable people sign up for
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: this thing.
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: Well, I think it's the what's your name? Yeah, who
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: had gone on OnlyFans trying to save her home, right, yeah,
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: and fifteen minutes exactly exactly, like hundreds of thousands of dollars.
- 1:49:33Speaker 2: And that's the woman from Sopranos. And that story goes
- 1:49:36Speaker 2: back a couple of years where you know she was
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: in dire straits because she couldn't get a job. I mean,
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: nobody would hire her, but she was a rat. Yeah, well,
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: you know that's funny. Nobody would hire her. And you
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: know that that show is episodic. You get paid by
- 1:49:50Speaker 2: the episode. That money is spent no differently than you
- 1:49:52Speaker 2: would spend money from your paycheck every week. There's no
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: like residuals. That's for the writers and the producers and stuff.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: The actors are just hired guns, right, unless you make
- 1:50:00Speaker 2: a good deal. And I don't think she had the
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: position to do that. Maybe Gandalfini did, but she certainly
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: wouldn't have had that kind of juice. I'm not sure
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: if you are, like, if you have an acting cards,
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: you're part of the guild. I think don't you automatically
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: get residuals. It may be to a lesser percentage. Yeah,
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: maybe so, Jack, But I don't think it's like that
- 1:50:19Speaker 2: kind of money we hear about that's like sustainable. I mean,
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: she's living in a certain part, you know, living in
- 1:50:23Speaker 2: New York in an apartment. So she became destitute, had
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: to take care of her mom, and and was running
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: out of money. She really had nowhere to go. She
- 1:50:31Speaker 2: owed like six hundred and fifty or seven hundred thousand
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: dollars on her apartment. She was about to get evicted,
- 1:50:36Speaker 2: and at the last minute she said, we'll do OnlyFans.
- 1:50:39Speaker 2: That's the only way I think I can raise money.
- 1:50:42Speaker 2: And she paid off that house. And I think in
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: the first day, as a matter of fact, if I
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: believe I remember the story right, it took her about
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: three hours to make a little over half a million dollars.
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: Wish you naked. I don't know what it was because
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: I mean, I think you have to log on to
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: find that out. I mean, they're not giving that stuff away,
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: that's the whole idea. But you know, Jamie Presley's got
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: to be in her She's gonna be like what in
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: her mid forties. Now, she's forty eight, forty eight years old,
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: she's forty eight. She was my name is Earl, right,
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: she played Joy Turner. That I think she's I think
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: she's underrated for being a comedic actress. I think she
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: also did didn't she do the cheerleading movies? Because didn't
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: she deliver the famous line?
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: She was also in not another teen movie Joe Dirt. Yeah,
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: Mom d Away Dead or Alive? Ring Master. Okay, let's
- 1:51:30Speaker 3: see what other shows. But I think she's best known
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: for my name is Earl and she.
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like I said, I think she did make Yeah,
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: she's certainly made that, like that that low budget movie
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: kind of thing. But again, that money doesn't last. And
- 1:51:43Speaker 2: if you're you know, if you're forty eight years in
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: Hollywood and you were, and your whole job when you
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: were in Hollywood is pretty girl, that is, you know,
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: you know, pretty girlfriend, right, you don't really have acting
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: chops that are gonna get you those scripts that keep
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: you sustained with acting work.
- 1:51:57Speaker 25: You know.
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: Well, she's in that age group where women intended disappear.
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: Unless you have a gigantic name, and then and even
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: then you're right, and then it does give you a
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: better chance these days. But if you just kind of
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: got through on pretty. And if you look at a
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: lot of these girls that are doing this, that's what happened.
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: They just kind of made it through on pretty. And
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: then you turn forty eight years old, you're pretty. Isn't
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: pretty enough anymore because all the young girls are getting
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: those getting that work, and off you go.
- 1:52:19Speaker 4: To only fans exactly just to make a living.
- 1:52:22Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question? I asked my wife
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: this the other day. I hope this isn't offensive.
- 1:52:27Speaker 4: I already know he brings this up all. I looked
- 1:52:31Speaker 4: at you and your feet. No, but why I'm not
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: doing only?
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: No, No, I don't ask you why you're not doing it.
- 1:52:36Speaker 2: This is the question I asked my wife. I said,
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: that's what I meant by you and your feet? I said,
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: doesn't it make it? Does it make you feel uncomfortable
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: that you know that you're attractive enough that if you
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: wanted to flip that switch, you literally could be a
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: millionaire by the end of this year easily, with with
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: zero effort. She could do that and you could as well.
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: Isn't that a weird thing? Because I'll tell you why.
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: It's odd, And I don't know if I'd make that
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: kind of.
- 1:52:57Speaker 2: Oh, you would make a lot of money, Debora, you
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: would be Can I tell you wouldbably make it just
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: from fans on the show. You probably wouldn't have to
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: You probably wouldn't have to market outside of the context
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: of the radio show. And I'm not joking. It would
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: be gross how much money you would make. She'd make
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: some money, no doubt. But Jack and I we don't
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: have an outlet like that, Like there's it's not fair,
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: it's a discrimination. But we can't, Like even if I
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: was a really good looking, honky kind of guy, there
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: is nowhere for me to go on that thing like
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: for girls. I mean, I guess I could do it
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: in the gay community. No, I don't know.
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: I mean, have you seen any of those videos when
- 1:53:31Speaker 3: with men cooking and they're smacking the dough and they're
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: working coconut like in a way the coconut needs an attorney.
- 1:53:37Speaker 2: Tell me about the coconut work.
- 1:53:39Speaker 3: I'm just saying, you like to cook, Yeah, you slap
- 1:53:42Speaker 3: some dough around, you get yourself some only fans.
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: I let's talk about how much what Debit would have
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: to do to and and how much money she can earn.
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: How much do you think Jack well, it depends five
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: five K a day. Are the clothes coming off?
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: No?
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: No, you couldn't do that. You have to do You
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: have to do some really, you have to do some revealing.
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: A lingerie. I think a millionaire is going to be
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: tough if if we're staying dress nobody. I'm telling you,
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: pimp over there, listen to pimp over there. He's not
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: doing a very good job for you. He's selling your
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: ass out. These dollar generally in your ass right now.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: That's what pimps do.
- 1:54:15Speaker 16: Man.
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: They make you do all the work and they take
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: all the cast. At least I'm TJ maxking you show title.
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: But I'm telling you, I'm telling you if you were
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: to just do hey, I'll sit and you can't. It's
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: barely revealing, like Victoria's secret kind of stuff where it
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: leaves stuff that it would be here we go.
- 1:54:34Speaker 3: It would be gross, slow cut, top eyeglasses, lollipop, read
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: a children's story.
- 1:54:41Speaker 2: I mean, how much money do you want me? You
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: have to ask yourself that question. You would have to
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: ask your yourself a question when do I my husband?
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: When do I want to stop?
- 1:54:52Speaker 10: Well?
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: Your husband driving a lambo? He didn't care anymore. He's
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: giving up all all integrity's gone when you pull up

- 1:58:09Speaker 2: Appreciate that very much. It's like changing every hour. Have
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: you noticed that it is? It's like part of the deal.
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: I think so. I saw this story. This actually was
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: on Channel six a little bit earlier this week, and
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: it's about this lakey Ola Heights home and the code
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: violations that it's that it has. I want like I'm
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: lake like right next to Lake Eola there. Yeah, I guess.
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: The city claims it's being used as an airbnb. The
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: homeowner claims homestead exemption, and the neighbors around there say
- 1:58:45Speaker 2: that there is no possible way. By the way they
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: say when they got asked about it, like, well, we
- 1:58:49Speaker 2: have a lot of friends in family. You know, we
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: have a lot of friends in our family that comes by.
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: They're trying to contend that these are family get togethers
- 1:58:56Speaker 2: or something like that, and the neighbors are like that,
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: I ain't no family get together. That is a rager
- 1:59:01Speaker 2: at an airbnb, and you better shut it down. These
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: guys are literally looking at like a couple hundred thousand
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: dollars in fine. Oh wow, and I don't think it's
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: gonna go well for them. Actually, let me let me
- 1:59:10Speaker 2: check that. Five hundred thousand dollars and fines. One of
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: the largest single finds alone is three hundred and forty
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: one grand they hit. They've been hitting him for two
- 1:59:19Speaker 2: k a day since twenty twenty three to kind of
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: to get it into compliance, and they have not. They said,
- 1:59:27Speaker 2: there's no business here. I make zero money on anything
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: they claim I make. They deny the allegations, saying gatherings
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: out at the Homer simply for family and friends. I
- 1:59:35Speaker 2: have a big family, and why should I not have
- 1:59:38Speaker 2: friends over, That's what they say. Residents who live in
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: that condo complex right behind them, those say, hmm, no,
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: thanks exactly. These events are having They're not family they
- 1:59:47Speaker 2: are loud. They go on forever. It's like a concert.
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: It'll shake your windows. And the reporter goes, really that
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: loud and the lady goes, yeah, dude, that loud. And
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: you know when I saw this story and you the
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: airbnb thing, I think is a bit of a scourge
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: here in central Florida, is it not? Oh? And I
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: know that all around You know, we used to go scalloping,
- 2:00:07Speaker 2: and the Airbnb that we stayed up when we were scalloping,
- 2:00:10Speaker 2: that guy went out of that business that next year,
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: like he all, he had like three or four in
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: that same area, and he changed the properties and got
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: out of the airbnb business. But I could, like, I
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: don't live in an area where there are I could
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: not imagine living next to one my next one.
- 2:00:25Speaker 3: No, my house was an airbnb. My mom's house was
- 2:00:28Speaker 3: an Airbn?
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: Was it really? Oh?
- 2:00:30Speaker 3: There are so many homes in Mount Dora that are airbnb.
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: Do the city not have Well? I guess they can't
- 2:00:35Speaker 2: do that, right, I mean, you can't stop somebody from
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: buying a house, but you can't stop them, Oh, can
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: you stop them from running it out? Some I mean
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: things they've been dealing with this different cities have different
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: ordinances trying to manage this. We booked one for my
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: mom's ninetieth birthday, and so this would have been almost
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: ten years ago down in uh like Davenport champans Gate area. Yeah, awesome, beautiful,
- 2:01:02Speaker 2: huge house. But we needed a big house because just
- 2:01:04Speaker 2: that my first cousins stuff. It was like twenty twenty
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: five people right right, right, But as I look down
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: that the street with all these large houses with hardly
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: anyone it looked like living in them. I think it's
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: a common thing for people to have these buy these
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: houses and either it's their second home, summer home, or
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: just in the airbnb right situation for him, And I
- 2:01:28Speaker 2: think we we just had that story about you know,
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: them making an arrest and the shooting. It was in
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: this same area, right, yeah, clovicular. Yeah.
- 2:01:37Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 2:01:38Speaker 3: In fact, that is a huge problem in Osiowa County
- 2:01:41Speaker 3: because for a while you either had hedge funds buying
- 2:01:44Speaker 3: up these private homes or other.
- 2:01:46Speaker 4: Groups and we need to put it into that. Yeah,
- 2:01:48Speaker 4: I think they did and basically.
- 2:01:51Speaker 3: You know, pricing single families out of these neighborhoods that
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: they could then rent them as vacation homes to people
- 2:01:56Speaker 3: come and traveling here, And yeah, Clovicular is facing charges
- 2:01:59Speaker 3: in our Steala County, allegedly for starting a fight between
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: two women that he staged for social media and shots
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: were fired.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: Well, my wife was doing the rios, which was back
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: in like two thousand and eight. These are bank owned
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: properties that were being foreclosed on when the downturn hit
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: in two thousand and eight. We were She had a
- 2:02:16Speaker 2: fund from an investor up north, and the investor basically
- 2:02:21Speaker 2: had this giant fund and he told her, because she
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: knows the market quite well, says, hey, look, when you're
- 2:02:26Speaker 2: doing these foreclosures, if you see one that you think
- 2:02:29Speaker 2: is good for us, you know, let us know, and
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: you know, we'll use you to put a bit on
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: it and buy these things. And we didn't know if
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: they were buying them to flip. That's what we thought
- 2:02:37Speaker 2: they were doing. But in hindsight, there's a good possibility,
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: because a lot of them were in nazi Ila County,
- 2:02:42Speaker 2: there's a good possibility they were buying those to just
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: sit on them and turn them into airbnbs. I don't
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: know how. I don't know how. I think, I don't know.
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: I guess it's profitable I've stayed in a couple of them.
- 2:02:54Speaker 2: I actually don't like staying in airbnbs more than like
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: staying in hotels. Well, now that the fees pretty much
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: match what you paying, it's the same. It used to
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: be a saving, so affordable, and then you'd have so
- 2:03:04Speaker 2: much more conveniences, like the whole place you're not worried
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: about next door. You're gonna have a kitchen if you
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: want to cook instead of eating out on your yea, yeah,
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: I know. I think that there are a number of
- 2:03:14Speaker 2: neighborhoods that were similar to Margaritaville. I'm not sure if
- 2:03:17Speaker 2: Margaritaville does this, but I remember at least one complex
- 2:03:23Speaker 2: like being marketed like that, like, hey, you know, by
- 2:03:26Speaker 2: this time share, you'll have it for three or four
- 2:03:28Speaker 2: months a year, and then airbnb it for the remainder
- 2:03:30Speaker 2: of the time. Like that was part of the business
- 2:03:32Speaker 2: model they were. They were drawing people in to buy
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: properties for that very reason, almost like a hybrid, like
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: a hybrid vacation club, that kind of thing where they
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: would buy it. They would say, hey, look, you know,
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: you write off whatever months you want if you want
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: to say the entire summer, you're doing that and then
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: we'll airb and be the thing for your for the
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: remainder of the year, and off you go. And I
- 2:03:52Speaker 2: know that a lot of those kind of pop up
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: condo like a Reunion, champions Gate, Margariteville in those areas
- 2:03:59Speaker 2: are by the parks, some of the stargate areas out there.
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: I guess they also did that.
- 2:04:03Speaker 3: And I know a lot of the beach side areas
- 2:04:06Speaker 3: are over in the airbnb experience because people, you know,
- 2:04:09Speaker 3: they'll have loud house party, especially during spring break. The
- 2:04:13Speaker 3: whole driveway situation comes up. You've got people parking on
- 2:04:16Speaker 3: your grass, you've got loud parties going on, you've got
- 2:04:18Speaker 3: young kids.
- 2:04:19Speaker 2: Do you think Choa's for the most part ban those, Yeah, sure, yeah,
- 2:04:22Speaker 2: because that's obviously one of the gigantic advantages of living
- 2:04:25Speaker 2: in an hoa, you know, controlled community is is that
- 2:04:28Speaker 2: you don't have to worry about buying a house and
- 2:04:30Speaker 2: then on either side of you or behind you, somebody
- 2:04:33Speaker 2: buying house and turning it into an airbnb, where every
- 2:04:35Speaker 2: week there's a different ilk of human being around your property.
- 2:04:38Speaker 2: You don't know from one minute to the next. I
- 2:04:40Speaker 2: told you guys, we airb and bet a place for
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: about a month and a half when we were waiting
- 2:04:44Speaker 2: on our house to close, when we were going from
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: Geneva to Eustas. And it was a condo that or
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: it was a duplex, so we had the right side
- 2:04:53Speaker 2: of it. That left side was an Airbnb as well.
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: And I'm telling you that in the time that we
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: were there, different people came and lived there. You don't
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: know what they're about, you don't know who they are.
- 2:05:04Speaker 2: We would see him hanging out smoking cigarettes and like
- 2:05:06Speaker 2: hoodies and stuff like. We didn't have any idea what there.
- 2:05:09Speaker 2: It was wild man.
- 2:05:10Speaker 3: It was somebody just texted and said, most of Celebration
- 2:05:14Speaker 3: is now Airbnb.
- 2:05:15Speaker 2: Celebration was the other one I was trying to remember. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:05:18Speaker 4: And someone also said I live next to one. I'm
- 2:05:20Speaker 4: on Merritt Island.
- 2:05:20Speaker 3: It was awful at first and has since been regulated
- 2:05:23Speaker 3: by the neighbors and isn't too bad at all.
- 2:05:25Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think what happens there's a learning curve there.
- 2:05:28Speaker 2: And also it's I think it's hyper dependent on where
- 2:05:31Speaker 2: it is. Yes, you know what kind of neighborhood it's in.
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: I mean, the one we had in Sanford was in
- 2:05:35Speaker 2: downtown uh in one of the historic areas. But it
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: was you know, it was a duplex and it was
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: an old duplex and they written out both sides of it.
- 2:05:43Speaker 2: We had one for a month, and it's so expensive.
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: There is no break, by the way, when you rent
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: one for more than like, there's no Hey, if I
- 2:05:50Speaker 2: get it for a week, is it this cost? Or
- 2:05:51Speaker 2: I get it for a month, it's it's the per
- 2:05:53Speaker 2: day cost. There's no break.
- 2:05:55Speaker 3: Well, like I had mentioned yesterday, because Rolling Loud right,
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: which started in my me Beach back in twenty fifteen,
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: this is the only US stop and it's only here
- 2:06:05Speaker 3: in Orlando. Well, the Osteola County Sheriff is losing his
- 2:06:08Speaker 3: mind trying to find all of these illegal house parties
- 2:06:12Speaker 3: at Airbnb's in Ostila County with all of these you know,
- 2:06:15Speaker 3: twenty thirty forty kids pulling up in these houses underage drinking.
- 2:06:19Speaker 3: Like I said, they've had reports of shots fired, sexual assaults.
- 2:06:22Speaker 2: So some people will pull them off the market during
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: certain events if they don't want a certain kind of person.
- 2:06:26Speaker 2: They're like over in Daytona during spring break, people just
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: pull them off the market. They just like delisted for
- 2:06:30Speaker 2: a while till that thing is done.
- 2:06:31Speaker 3: Somebody said, had my car towed at an Airbnb because
- 2:06:34Speaker 3: the neighbors were fed up?
- 2:06:35Speaker 2: Yeah. This person says we had a nature way and
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: they allowed Airbnb. Oh goodness. Another person said, we did
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: an airbnb in Germany. It had a note that one
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: toilet wasn't flushing properly and if something happened while we
- 2:06:50Speaker 2: were there, we'd be responsible.
- 2:06:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:06:52Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:06:52Speaker 2: The one I rented up in Palatka when I went
- 2:06:55Speaker 2: up a couple of years back to play at the
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: golf tournament, I got one that was actually as a
- 2:06:59Speaker 2: little house to was part of a bigger house. It
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: was like a main estate and it had a little
- 2:07:03Speaker 2: cottage and I was staying in the little cottage area.
- 2:07:06Speaker 2: And the list of rules when I walked in it
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: was like one of those laminated eighty eight and a
- 2:07:12Speaker 2: half my eleven paper on the back of the door.
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: I was like, man, are you kidding?
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: Can't change the thermostadic I can get into the military easier.
- 2:07:19Speaker 3: Can't take longer than a five minute shower.
- 2:07:21Speaker 2: Like they said it where you're one hundred percent right,
- 2:07:23Speaker 2: they said it, where you just have enough hot water
- 2:07:25Speaker 2: to take like a five minute shower. The ac wouldn't
- 2:07:28Speaker 2: go below seventy four. It was ridiculous. Don't want to
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: pay that bill? No, Yeah, someone else says they stayed
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: in an apartment Airbnb in Naples, Italy, a couple of
- 2:07:38Speaker 2: weeks ago. It was two hundred and fifteen dollars US
- 2:07:41Speaker 2: for the whole stay. Wow, shocking compared to the airbnb
- 2:07:45Speaker 2: prices here in the state. Like I don't even I
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: don't even look at airbnbs now when I travel because
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: there's just it's too expensive. But Jack, you're right though,
- 2:07:53Speaker 2: if it was a situation where we're taking like, you know,
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: six eight people, hard to do that with a hotel
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: and save money, but you could definitely do that. That's
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: where that's really where airbnbs shine. Yeah, and I think
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: the mountainous areas like up in Carolinas, you can really
- 2:08:06Speaker 2: get good deals on them and say there for a week.
- 2:08:08Speaker 2: We did that before as well. We did it in Montreal. Yeah.
- 2:08:11Speaker 2: Well we went up for my nephew's wedding, but it
- 2:08:14Speaker 2: was me and like three of my sisters and my
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: niece all in one you know, giant, big apartment. Yeah,
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: whereas some of the sins they had hotel rooms, but
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: that it was a lot cheaper doing it the way
- 2:08:27Speaker 2: we did when you parsed it out. Over all, the
- 2:08:30Speaker 2: people standing there, the Margaritaville experience. Man, if you if
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: you went out there and yeah, that's the greatest. I mean,
- 2:08:35Speaker 2: those those places are set up. Every suite it's like
- 2:08:37Speaker 2: a master suite. It has its own own bathroom and everything. Man,
- 2:08:40Speaker 2: that's the That is the way to go for sure.
- 2:08:42Speaker 2: All right, four seven nine one six one four one Again,
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: you can always text us in seven seven zero three one.

- 2:09:25Speaker 3: What's up.
- 2:09:25Speaker 5: It's Sarah.
- 2:09:26Speaker 11: So I like airbnbs more than hotels, just for the
- 2:09:30Speaker 11: fact of having like a little bit of a homey
- 2:09:32Speaker 11: kind of feel for sugar, like a soap an oven.
- 2:09:35Speaker 11: To actually make proper meals and not have to eat
- 2:09:37Speaker 11: out and then actually be able to eat bluftovers appropriately
- 2:09:41Speaker 11: is my favorite thing to do, for sure. But I'll
- 2:09:44Speaker 11: do it alone, Like I don't mind going to Airbnb's alone.
- 2:09:47Speaker 11: I'm sure I'm being recruited, but I feel a lot
- 2:09:49Speaker 11: safer an Airbnb than I do at a hotel.
- 2:09:52Speaker 6: But that's just me.
- 2:09:53Speaker 24: By Here in Louisiana, the city of New Orleans has
- 2:09:57Speaker 24: shut down the use of airbnbs inside the city limits. Basically,
- 2:10:03Speaker 24: you have to have a hotel license or live in
- 2:10:06Speaker 24: the property in order to airbnb it.
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I think different communities look at that differently. In
- 2:10:14Speaker 2: New Orleans is a totally different machine altogether.
- 2:10:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, And if you're a tourist community, I don't know.
- 2:10:21Speaker 2: Maybe it has something to do with how powerful the
- 2:10:24Speaker 2: hotel lobby is. And yeah, yeah, we got a couple
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: of hotels here. Yeah, family is your six o'clock keyword
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: FA M, I L Y go to real radio dot
- 2:10:35Speaker 2: of M and Sen that'll wait for your chance at
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: a thousand bucks. I'll remind you again, if you're playing
- 2:10:38Speaker 2: the game, phone on, phone up and answer the damn
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: thing when it rings. And it doesn't matter what it
- 2:10:43Speaker 2: says on the screen. If you're playing the game, you
- 2:10:44Speaker 2: got to pick it up. Was just talking to our
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: buddy Scott during the break. Scott's been on the show.
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: He works with Orlando City Soccer. He's about to take
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: a trip to London, and I go, are you staying
- 2:10:54Speaker 2: in hotels or Airbnb? He's doing. It's a combo of both,
- 2:10:57Speaker 2: really like depending on the city today and it might
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: be a hotel there or sometimes they'll have it nearbnb.
- 2:11:02Speaker 2: Very cool, Yeah, very cool. Welcome back. I'm Jim that
- 2:11:05Speaker 2: was here, missing him around?
- 2:11:07Speaker 11: So is Jack.
- 2:11:08Speaker 2: I think I need to go to London. I'd like
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: to go on an international trip and also have it
- 2:11:13Speaker 2: beat English. Yeah, London is We've started thinking about our
- 2:11:18Speaker 2: European trip for twenty twenty seven. Yeah, London is it.
- 2:11:22Speaker 2: That's a city to see. Yeah, and I think those
- 2:11:24Speaker 2: are the places we want to kind of do in Barcelona.
- 2:11:27Speaker 2: We want to go to Rome, we want to go
- 2:11:28Speaker 2: to Paris, we want to go to London, you know,
- 2:11:29Speaker 2: places like that. Our kids just went over to Oh
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: my god starts with an F France. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 2:11:39Speaker 2: it's it's it's tough stuff. Florence and oh Madrid, Oh
- 2:11:45Speaker 2: Madrid and Florence. I've been to Florence. Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: Paris is another good city and you have to walk it.
- 2:11:51Speaker 4: That's what they say, happen to.
- 2:11:52Speaker 2: You just have to walk. London, you walk, you walk Paris.
- 2:11:55Speaker 3: You just you'll miss too much if you rent a
- 2:11:58Speaker 3: car or you get a tax or I mean, in
- 2:12:01Speaker 3: some spots, depending on what you're going to be doing
- 2:12:03Speaker 3: that day, you're gonna want to, you know, maybe take
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: the tube, but you're just there's too much to see.
- 2:12:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:12:10Speaker 2: You know when we this last trip, we went to
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: the Keys and we were done at a golf cart
- 2:12:13Speaker 2: and just drove around the keys and just kind of
- 2:12:15Speaker 2: check stuff out. Had been down there in twenty years,
- 2:12:17Speaker 2: and I told her, so that was the best fun.
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: I mean, I'm down for that. Like renting something where
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: you can just kind of tool around and drive around.
- 2:12:23Speaker 2: I don't know about no damn scooters though I don't
- 2:12:25Speaker 2: think about a scooter, but something contained we could do it.
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: Maybe, I don't know, um no, uh, just because like
- 2:12:31Speaker 3: you know, one of the weirdest things about English roads
- 2:12:35Speaker 3: that I found is there's no emergency shoulder.
- 2:12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, nowhere to go.
- 2:12:38Speaker 3: There's nowhere to go, which makes the highways really dangerous.
- 2:12:41Speaker 3: And if you don't know how to drive or which
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: side to drive, it's it's yeah. And the shoulder it's
- 2:12:46Speaker 3: filled with horse poop from the carriages, and that would
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: be from when they just throw this stuff out into
- 2:12:52Speaker 3: the streets.
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: That's a weird way to return a rental. This was
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: white when we gave it to you, sir, and it's
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: not now. So this is a really interesting business concept
- 2:13:05Speaker 2: and I find it interesting. And we have someone who
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: just went through this, so I can ask. So this
- 2:13:12Speaker 2: is a People magazine story. This couple had been together
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: for a while and they were sitting around this couple,
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: Jeff and Karna Bessen, and they worked with a website
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: to launch or they worked with a designer to launch
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: this website. So they said that we were always going
- 2:13:28Speaker 2: on weekly date nights, right, We usually go to the movies,
- 2:13:31Speaker 2: to the beach comedy, and they started running out of
- 2:13:34Speaker 2: things to do. They're kind of getting a little bored.
- 2:13:37Speaker 2: Then Jeff looks at the wife, Coriina, and says, you
- 2:13:39Speaker 2: know what, I wish we could. I wish we could
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: go to a wedding. I like weddings. They're so much fun.
- 2:13:46Speaker 2: And then she applied. You know what, that sounds great,
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: but we don't know anyone getting married, so that kind
- 2:13:51Speaker 2: of that That conversation kind of went by and they
- 2:13:54Speaker 2: didn't think anything of it. Then Jeff comes to her
- 2:13:58Speaker 2: the next day and says, you know what, a little
- 2:14:00Speaker 2: light bulb went off. What if we started a website
- 2:14:03Speaker 2: and we contacted or we found out when people are
- 2:14:06Speaker 2: getting married, and we sold access to people's weddings. Not
- 2:14:13Speaker 2: a wedding crasher. You're not just getting dressed and showing
- 2:14:16Speaker 2: up as a rando. You're actually paying to go to
- 2:14:20Speaker 2: someone's wedding. This is an actual website. It's called not
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: a wedding Crasher, right, And the whole deal is is
- 2:14:30Speaker 2: that you get to go to weddings. You have to
- 2:14:32Speaker 2: be like, the party has to invite you. You have
- 2:14:36Speaker 2: and your cost is on top of the fee for them,
- 2:14:39Speaker 2: which they don't really mention, but the cost is you
- 2:14:42Speaker 2: have to give a a certain level of gift to
- 2:14:46Speaker 2: the bride and groom, like you know, a wedding gift,
- 2:14:48Speaker 2: as you would give any person that you're going to
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: scale their wedding. You bring something, But this one has
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: a minimum and it said once a guest requests a seat,
- 2:14:58Speaker 2: they're prompted to complete a third party identity of verification.
- 2:15:01Speaker 2: The couple then reviews every request to ensure that no
- 2:15:04Speaker 2: guests are arriving uninvited. Then approved guests make a monetary
- 2:15:09Speaker 2: contribution to the couple before taking part in a day
- 2:15:12Speaker 2: built on connection, joy and shared experience. So theoretically you
- 2:15:17Speaker 2: could have you could have a small wedding, like maybe
- 2:15:20Speaker 2: you're getting married and you only have twenty people. That's
- 2:15:23Speaker 2: not going to produce a lot of revenue when it
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: comes to your wedding gifts. So maybe you go out
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: there and you go, well, you know, we'll put the
- 2:15:28Speaker 2: word out and we'll get a table or two of
- 2:15:31Speaker 2: these these invited guests that I just want to go
- 2:15:33Speaker 2: to weddings and they can come and hang out and
- 2:15:35Speaker 2: they're donating a couple hundred bucks a couple whatever the
- 2:15:37Speaker 2: case may be up to our wedding take to a
- 2:15:40Speaker 2: couple thousand bucks more than what we usually get.
- 2:15:43Speaker 3: Not after you're done feeding them and liquoring them up.
- 2:15:45Speaker 2: It doesn't well I think you take everything of that,
- 2:15:48Speaker 2: all that into consideration, you I mean, well, no, don't
- 2:15:52Speaker 2: you remember what was Dev's big concern wasn't trying to
- 2:15:57Speaker 2: get more people for guests. It was like, how to
- 2:15:59Speaker 2: cut it down because of the cost, right, yeah, because
- 2:16:01Speaker 2: the cost one hundred percent. So if you're adding people,
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: that adds to the cost. But obviously the cost of
- 2:16:06Speaker 2: going to it, what they're charging is going to not
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: only cover the gift part of it would also cover whatever,
- 2:16:12Speaker 2: uh uh whatever, pack the meal, yeah, meal and drinks
- 2:16:15Speaker 2: like it's open bar and you're getting a great meal.
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: Or that wedding cost more. Now it's three hundred bucks
- 2:16:20Speaker 2: come to the wedding on top of the gift. Oh
- 2:16:22Speaker 2: so you have to pay and give a guy it's
- 2:16:24Speaker 2: us here. After all, the couple decides how many seats
- 2:16:27Speaker 2: to open up, what price to set, who to approve,
- 2:16:30Speaker 2: and how your celebration feels. While thoroughly are thoughtfully recapturing
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: part of the investment you've already made and that's the
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: whole idea, like inviting randos to your wedding at a
- 2:16:41Speaker 2: price so that you can help offset the cost of
- 2:16:43Speaker 2: your own wedding. And they said it's been overwhelmingly positive.
- 2:16:47Speaker 2: It says, who do you think signs up the most?
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: According to these guys, what type of gay guys? It's
- 2:16:54Speaker 2: not K guys. It's not K guys, gay guys, it's
- 2:16:57Speaker 2: not gay guys. There is a certain group of people
- 2:17:00Speaker 2: that are doing this and apparently not only are they
- 2:17:03Speaker 2: having a blast doing it, it's saying, your widows, it's
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: working out great for the people that are going to
- 2:17:08Speaker 2: because they're not troublemakers. They're there to have a good time.
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: Not broskis, people who like to dance, divorces. It's groups
- 2:17:18Speaker 2: of single women now that are going Like you say,
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: if you have your girl group and it's like six
- 2:17:24Speaker 2: eight girls or whatever, these girl groups are getting together
- 2:17:27Speaker 2: and they're finding these weddings they want to go to,
- 2:17:30Speaker 2: and they're going to these weddings and they're tearing it up,
- 2:17:32Speaker 2: they're having a blast. Well, they're probably dressed up, they're
- 2:17:34Speaker 2: probably meeting people. I mean, who knows what single people
- 2:17:37Speaker 2: are going to be there. It's hard to find somebody
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: to be with right. Oh yeah. YouTube chatter says, I
- 2:17:41Speaker 2: love weddings that would totally take advantage of this website.
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: But people are doing it. It says that it's that
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: group of ladies' nights out that are really killing it
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: for them. They've got to some amount of people from
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: the wedding industry sign up as well, because they're all
- 2:17:54Speaker 2: for they're they're often working during weddings and really never
- 2:17:57Speaker 2: get to actually appreciate them and have a good time. Yeah,
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: that's true. It says the guy has a background in
- 2:18:03Speaker 2: finance and he found himself building this after he wasn't
- 2:18:07Speaker 2: working or looking after their kids, and he built the
- 2:18:11Speaker 2: he built the website. He said it was kind of
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: comical in the beginning, but excuse me, I'm so sorry, guys.
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: But then as it started to kind of build up,
- 2:18:18Speaker 2: he realized, Hey, you know, we're kind of onto something here.
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how long it'll last. Let's
- 2:18:23Speaker 2: send you to the doctor. No, we're fine, but I
- 2:18:26Speaker 2: don't know how long. I don't know how long it'll last.
- 2:18:29Speaker 2: But at least you know, you you have like a
- 2:18:32Speaker 2: premise for a business. It seems to be working.
- 2:18:33Speaker 5: Well.
- 2:18:34Speaker 3: I think it's off the heels of that Brendan Fraser movie,
- 2:18:37Speaker 3: the Rental Family.
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: I never even saw that.
- 2:18:39Speaker 3: Well, the whole concept is that in Japan you can
- 2:18:41Speaker 3: rent people to be a part of your family, come
- 2:18:44Speaker 3: to a funeral, come to a birthday party.
- 2:18:47Speaker 2: So this kind of scene that I know they did
- 2:18:49Speaker 2: that with animals, I didn't know they did it with people.
- 2:18:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's the that's the character that Brendan Fraser
- 2:18:54Speaker 3: a movie. And I haven't seen it yet. I've really
- 2:18:56Speaker 3: really wanted to see. It's supposed to be very poignant.
- 2:18:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:18:58Speaker 2: It's one of the movies that Emily reviewed on Monday.
- 2:19:01Speaker 2: Oh is it really Yeah? Yeah, wow you were here.
- 2:19:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I got that one hundred percent. Yeah.
- 2:19:05Speaker 3: So that idea of you know, renting people out or
- 2:19:10Speaker 3: filling up your wedding with people who want.
- 2:19:12Speaker 25: To be there.
- 2:19:13Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I mean that's exactly what they're saying. Is
- 2:19:14Speaker 2: it is like, it's so funny because he goes my
- 2:19:16Speaker 2: husband has become a bride. It's very funny because he's
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: the one like doing all the bookings and stuff, and uh,
- 2:19:21Speaker 2: and I just I don't know, I just find this
- 2:19:23Speaker 2: is a really unique idea and I never in a
- 2:19:25Speaker 2: million years thought of anybody would even think of doing that.
- 2:19:28Speaker 2: So are they getting a percentage for kind of facilitating?
- 2:19:32Speaker 2: So they set the price. So let's say you want
- 2:19:34Speaker 2: to go to a certain certain wedding and they have
- 2:19:36Speaker 2: a certain setup at a certain place and it's really nice,
- 2:19:39Speaker 2: and they're saying, okay, so to come to the wedding,
- 2:19:42Speaker 2: it's going to cost you three hundred dollars to come
- 2:19:43Speaker 2: to the wedding and you have to bring a gift.
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: Oh well, that's good because if it's three hundred dollars,
- 2:19:48Speaker 3: so part of that would go to their fee. Then
- 2:19:50Speaker 3: the other price would probably hopefully go to the bride
- 2:19:52Speaker 3: and groom to cover the cost of food and dessert.
- 2:19:55Speaker 2: And they set that price. The bride and groom are
- 2:19:57Speaker 2: the ones really setting the price. You're saying, hey, look,
- 2:19:58Speaker 2: if somebody wants to come to the wedding, we don't
- 2:20:00Speaker 2: have any problem with it. They go through an identity
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: check to make sure they're not maniacs, and then they go, well,
- 2:20:05Speaker 2: and you know, if you want to come, here's the price,
- 2:20:07Speaker 2: because this is how much it cost us to feed
- 2:20:09Speaker 2: everybody and for drinks, they say, you get a couple
- 2:20:11Speaker 2: of drink tickets and food, and that costs the breath
- 2:20:14Speaker 2: the wedding party you one hundred and twenty five dollars.
- 2:20:16Speaker 2: I mean they could charge two hundred bucks and put
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: that money toward the total cost of the wedding. And
- 2:20:20Speaker 2: you can even cheat on the gift. You can give
- 2:20:23Speaker 2: them something used from your house, wrapped up. They won't
- 2:20:27Speaker 2: open it until after you're long gone. Just just steal
- 2:20:31Speaker 2: something from every wedding and just give it away at
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: the next wed There you go, you're regifting.
- 2:20:35Speaker 3: So in Japan, yet a rental family service known as
- 2:20:38Speaker 3: rentaaru Kazuku allows people to hire professional actors to play
- 2:20:43Speaker 3: the roles of family members, friends, or co workers at
- 2:20:46Speaker 3: weddings maintain social appearances.
- 2:20:49Speaker 2: So that is banana. Is that so crazy? Isn't that? Yeah?
- 2:20:52Speaker 2: And by the way, this guy was told, he goes
- 2:20:53Speaker 2: when we started this up, he goes everybody, my attorney,
- 2:20:56Speaker 2: everybody said this is the dumbest idea I've ever heard
- 2:20:58Speaker 2: in my life.
- 2:20:59Speaker 3: And now they're going, how much can I invest?
- 2:21:00Speaker 2: And it says the other this is the other hate
- 2:21:03Speaker 2: we get is I hate this. I want to sign
- 2:21:05Speaker 2: up and man, I'm gonna tell you you know, it's
- 2:21:08Speaker 2: so funny every time a wedding comes around. I remember
- 2:21:11Speaker 2: thinking to myself back in the day, I was like, God,
- 2:21:13Speaker 2: dog man, this seems so cumbersome. You gotta get dressed up,
- 2:21:16Speaker 2: you gotta go do this. It's an all day event.
- 2:21:18Speaker 2: But every single one I go to, I have a
- 2:21:21Speaker 2: complete blast, Like I have a blast because it's plug
- 2:21:24Speaker 2: and play for the guests.
- 2:21:25Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 2:21:26Speaker 2: We don't have to do anything. We show up, we clap,
- 2:21:29Speaker 2: we see a beautiful ceremony with two people, even if
- 2:21:33Speaker 2: we don't know you. And then you dance and you
- 2:21:35Speaker 2: have an m scene. There are people there you don't know,
- 2:21:37Speaker 2: There are drinks, there's food. What else do you want?
- 2:21:39Speaker 2: You get to dress up.
- 2:21:42Speaker 3: Everything you could want for a good night out right
- 2:21:45Speaker 3: on someone else's done.
- 2:21:46Speaker 2: How much would you charge for yours? Go ahead? It's
- 2:21:48Speaker 2: just weddings. It's usually weddings. It's like, ah, we have
- 2:21:52Speaker 2: to go to a wedding, right, That's usually how I feel.
- 2:21:55Speaker 2: With Devs. I was excited to go me as well,
- 2:21:59Speaker 2: so excited I almost I got there eight minutes.
- 2:22:01Speaker 4: Before, I know, thanks to Jack.
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: Eight minutes before is when I showed up, and the
- 2:22:07Speaker 2: one I went before that was Rosses, which I had
- 2:22:09Speaker 2: a complete blast at Rosses time out. You know what,
- 2:22:12Speaker 2: you give yourself credit. You got there before it started early,
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: eight minutes, doesn't matter. It was early, you were not
- 2:22:19Speaker 2: late exactly. I'm glad it wasn't. It was a little
- 2:22:21Speaker 2: warm in the church at first, and then they shut
- 2:22:23Speaker 2: the door and that AC started kicking in. That ac
- 2:22:25Speaker 2: was made in eighteen ten. You got that date right
- 2:22:29Speaker 2: old building in Mount Dora, where Jimmy was not married.
- 2:22:33Speaker 2: I know, I don't know how we got that wrong?
- 2:22:36Speaker 9: All right?
- 2:22:37Speaker 2: Seven?
- 2:22:38Speaker 3: And I went on, hasn't mentioned so you you forgot
- 2:22:41Speaker 3: where we got married? No, she hasn't mentioned that.
- 2:22:44Speaker 2: No, what I mean, well, because you thought that, let
- 2:22:48Speaker 2: me take so she had no clue either, No, no, no, no, no.
- 2:22:52Speaker 2: Matter of fact, when we were driving over there, I said,
- 2:22:55Speaker 2: it's at the same church we got married at. Where's
- 2:22:56Speaker 2: that she go? She just looked at me. She was,
- 2:22:58Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know where it did him
- 2:23:00Speaker 2: in Mexican to day we got married twenty years ago.
- 2:23:02Speaker 2: I was supposed to remember that. I'm like, well, mountain door,
- 2:23:04Speaker 2: it's not that big. Let's just drive around. Then I'll
- 2:23:05Speaker 2: get the clock. And he's like, no, let's don't drive around. Bradshaw.
- 2:23:08Speaker 2: Where is this place? Where is his place? And we
- 2:23:11Speaker 2: were two blocks away from him when I called Jack,
- 2:23:13Speaker 2: I'm looking as It's like I could have waited and
- 2:23:15Speaker 2: how did we just driven the two blocks? I would
- 2:23:17Speaker 2: have seen like four people I know, like Penny uh
- 2:23:20Speaker 2: and Darylston outside you Mulda, just waited three more seconds.
- 2:23:23Speaker 2: I wouldn't have that hanging over my head where Bradshaw
- 2:23:25Speaker 2: has it on me for the rest of my life.
- 2:23:27Speaker 2: Now you know how much I love that?
- 2:23:29Speaker 4: Well, then just ask him how much he liked your wedding.
- 2:23:33Speaker 2: Good one. Oh my wedding was so good. I don't
- 2:23:37Speaker 2: even know where it was now. I thought I was
- 2:23:39Speaker 2: going to find out it wasn't it happened.
- 2:23:41Speaker 25: It wasn't.
- 2:23:41Speaker 2: In that yacht room I've been. That yard room is
- 2:23:43Speaker 2: the joint. We could add it there. That yacht place
- 2:23:46Speaker 2: is great. Reception was a lovely vane, Oh my god, perfect.
- 2:23:51Speaker 2: It was absolutely the greatest.
- 2:23:52Speaker 5: It was.
- 2:23:53Speaker 3: Food was good, especially that sunset over the lake.
- 2:23:56Speaker 2: Tori go Get said, a big old slab of brisket
- 2:23:58Speaker 2: she puts on a plane. I'm like, what are you doing?
- 2:23:59Speaker 2: You don't need that actually goes You're right here eth this.
- 2:24:01Speaker 2: I'm like, thank you, because I did not want to
- 2:24:04Speaker 2: make two trips. You don't want to be the two
- 2:24:05Speaker 2: trip guy to the wedding buffet. That's bad. That's a
- 2:24:07Speaker 2: bad look.
- 2:24:10Speaker 10: No.
- 2:24:10Speaker 3: I wanted the buffet open so if people wanted seconds
- 2:24:13Speaker 3: they could grow get it.
- 2:24:14Speaker 2: It was so good, you know, oh we getting We
- 2:24:17Speaker 2: were counting the tables. Yeah, and then you call the
- 2:24:19Speaker 2: next table and that cater You had a caterer come
- 2:24:22Speaker 2: in and they just used that kitchen tom to make it.
- 2:24:25Speaker 2: It wasn't it wasn't there catering. No, No, we went
- 2:24:29Speaker 2: with a caterer. That's kind of wild.
- 2:24:31Speaker 9: They do that.
- 2:24:31Speaker 2: A lot of places do not do that. A lot
- 2:24:32Speaker 2: of places make you use their menu. One of the
- 2:24:35Speaker 2: reasons it's been so difficult for us to build a
- 2:24:37Speaker 2: golf tournament is because we have connections in trade with
- 2:24:42Speaker 2: food vendors. But the problem is is these golf courses,
- 2:24:45Speaker 2: because a lot of them are set up to do
- 2:24:46Speaker 2: this very thing, will not let you third party the food.
- 2:24:49Speaker 2: They want to produce the food. But the problem is
- 2:24:51Speaker 2: is they able to charge you thirty five dollars for hamburger.
- 2:24:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well this you know, keeping in mind that the
- 2:24:56Speaker 3: yacht Club is a private club. Yeah, so we had
- 2:24:59Speaker 3: run into that with the bar service, so they took
- 2:25:01Speaker 3: care of all of the alcohol. But because we had
- 2:25:03Speaker 3: like a vodka spritz, we had to be the ones
- 2:25:06Speaker 3: to supply the lemons, the cucumber and the mint. Right
- 2:25:08Speaker 3: because it's a private club, they wouldn't have had that
- 2:25:11Speaker 3: on hand as regularly. But working with Chelsea and everyone,
- 2:25:14Speaker 3: it was just it was there were some snaffoos, but
- 2:25:18Speaker 3: every wedding is going to have that.
- 2:25:19Speaker 2: Couldn't tell man from our From our perspective, it was
- 2:25:22Speaker 2: absolutely great. I'd go again tomorrow. It was great. Yeah,
- 2:25:24Speaker 2: get married again. Debe another one seven seven zero three one.

- 2:27:39Speaker 25: of months because of AI data centers buying all of it.
- 2:27:43Speaker 25: So every piece of tech out there that has any
- 2:27:46Speaker 25: type of memory or storage in it, the price is
- 2:27:49Speaker 25: going away up and it ain't gonna stop anytime soon.

- 2:28:34Speaker 2: with us all day long, and some of them even
- 2:28:36Speaker 2: a little longer, and we've kind of, I think we've

- 2:29:13Speaker 2: gonna be a little short there. Welcome back to the
- 2:29:14Speaker 2: Jim Kolber Show. We're all radio one to four point one.

- 2:29:25Speaker 2: They'll also have a couple And those have been a
- 2:29:28Speaker 2: little treasure chest in this game. So fewer players, better
- 2:29:32Speaker 2: chances to win.
- 2:29:33Speaker 3: So if you've been playing this game for years and
- 2:29:35Speaker 3: it seems like you never get a chance to win,
- 2:29:37Speaker 3: don't sit on those later keywords.
- 2:29:38Speaker 2: Seven, eight and nine pm. They have less play. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:29:42Speaker 2: and they hit man last last time we did this game,
- 2:29:45Speaker 2: they hit hard, so good A good job there. And
- 2:29:47Speaker 2: by the way, like I say one hundred times, phone
- 2:29:50Speaker 2: on phone up, anytime you're playing this game, you've got
- 2:29:53Speaker 2: to have that thing near you and you've got to

- 2:29:56Speaker 2: people miss it and it just breaks their heart, you.
- 2:29:57Speaker 3: Know, and you got to turn it up to you
- 2:29:59Speaker 3: because I mean, I know, I've sat with my phone
- 2:30:01Speaker 3: right next to me and thought, oh, i'll see the

- 2:30:07Speaker 1: It good time for You heard it here first on
- 2:30:11Speaker 1: the Jim Colbert Show.
- 2:30:13Speaker 3: Bob Leo the fourteenth was elected a year ago today,
- 2:30:17Speaker 3: the first pope born in the US has called for
- 2:30:19Speaker 3: an end of the war in Iran, drawing the ire
- 2:30:21Speaker 3: of President Trump and members of his administration. Saint Leo
- 2:30:25Speaker 3: University theology professor Stephen Oki says the pontiff is following
- 2:30:30Speaker 3: at least a century of precedent from leaders of the
- 2:30:33Speaker 3: Roman Catholic Church.
- 2:30:34Speaker 12: The fact that Poblio is concerned about the war in
- 2:30:38Speaker 12: Iran and the way it's being conducted is consistent with
- 2:30:43Speaker 12: his predecessors, at least as far back as Benedict the fifteenth, who.
- 2:30:48Speaker 3: Was last pontiff in nineteen twenty two. By the way,
- 2:30:52Speaker 3: all popes are anti war, yeah, shocking. WI Immigration enforcement
- 2:30:58Speaker 3: has also been a flashpoint, but the professor says Pope
- 2:31:01Speaker 3: Leo is following the lead of US bishops on that issue.
- 2:31:04Speaker 2: His brother has been making the media rounds of you.
- 2:31:06Speaker 2: Have you seen any of the interviews. Yeah, very interesting
- 2:31:09Speaker 2: because his brother has some cool stories about him trying
- 2:31:12Speaker 2: to get the insurance company or the phone company to
- 2:31:14Speaker 2: change his number. So the bank, Actually, that's the one
- 2:31:17Speaker 2: I saw from my priests recently. Yeah, Pope Leo calls
- 2:31:20Speaker 2: you know, I'm Robert Provost and he does all the
- 2:31:22Speaker 2: security questions and the bank is representatives.
- 2:31:24Speaker 3: Is IM sorry, so you're going to have to come
- 2:31:26Speaker 3: in and I can't do that, And he said, would
- 2:31:29Speaker 3: it help if I if I told you I'm Pope
- 2:31:31Speaker 3: Leo and click hung up on him.
- 2:31:34Speaker 2: The dude's brother had to call the bank like some
- 2:31:36Speaker 2: bank president or whatever to get him through to make
- 2:31:38Speaker 2: it happen for him. Crazy, It is crazy, all right.
- 2:31:41Speaker 3: There's a renewed effort to get a Lake County woman
- 2:31:43Speaker 3: some statewide recognition. A local chapter of the Daughters of
- 2:31:47Speaker 3: the American Revolution announced yesterday they're trying to get the
- 2:31:51Speaker 3: late Mapel Norris Reese inducted into the Florida Women's Hall
- 2:31:54Speaker 3: of Fame. For those who do not know, Reese was
- 2:31:57Speaker 3: a journalist who investigated the Groveland four case for a
- 2:32:00Speaker 3: newspaper called the Mount Dora Topic. Four black men were
- 2:32:04Speaker 3: accused of raping a white woman in nineteen forty nine.
- 2:32:07Speaker 3: In Reese's work is credited with helping get their convictions overturned.
- 2:32:11Speaker 3: Her supporters say she persisted in her work despite threats
- 2:32:14Speaker 3: like a burning cross on her lawn, her dog was poisoned,
- 2:32:18Speaker 3: her house and her office were firebombed. Reese died in
- 2:32:21Speaker 3: nineteen ninety five. And then, finally, Nintendo is hiking the
- 2:32:25Speaker 3: price of its latest console. The video game giant announced
- 2:32:28Speaker 3: today that it switched to will now sell for around
- 2:32:33Speaker 3: five hundred dollars.
- 2:32:34Speaker 2: In the US.
- 2:32:35Speaker 4: That's about fifty bucks more than the current price.
- 2:32:38Speaker 8: Wow.
- 2:32:38Speaker 3: Just like Jack said, you've never seen this before. They
- 2:32:40Speaker 3: always go down. But like the caller just said, with
- 2:32:43Speaker 3: the memory needs right. The company also forecasts a decline
- 2:32:46Speaker 3: in sales of the system within its next fiscal year.
- 2:32:50Speaker 3: Nintendo is pointing at the rising cost of memory chips
- 2:32:54Speaker 3: and tariffs as reason for the financial impact. And you
- 2:32:58Speaker 3: heard it here first on the Gym Culbert Show.
- 2:33:00Speaker 2: Thank you, deb su Who do we have to think today?
- 2:33:03Speaker 3: We want to thank Corona Cigar Company. Tell the people

- 2:33:11Speaker 3: Fifty and it's a really good smoke and I think
- 2:33:15Speaker 3: you'll enjoy it and you can get that at Corona

- 2:33:48Speaker 2: on a limit. I'm going to say this really this
- 2:33:50Speaker 2: kind of irks people. I'm going to say, I'm going
- 2:33:52Speaker 2: to say sixty eight percent of the people say yes,
- 2:33:55Speaker 2: it makes them angry. Thirty nine percent said yes.
