- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simone sell on sevent tenor well,
- 0:13Speaker 1: it's a little hot out there, but this is nothing.
- 0:16Speaker 1: This is not the heat player. This is a you're
- 0:20Speaker 1: gonna miss today. It's gonna be ninety three today, but
- 0:23Speaker 1: then Tomorrow, Thursday and Friday one hundred degrees one hundred.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Saturday drops down to about ninety five. But you got
- 0:31Speaker 1: thunderstorms on Saturday. Sunday, it'll be ninety. Everybody's gonna it's
- 0:36Speaker 1: gonna feel like a like a cold spell. This ninety
- 0:40Speaker 1: sounds high, but it'll feel like nothing after this heat wave.
- 0:42Speaker 1: So be prepared for this heat wave. It's gonna be rough.
- 0:45Speaker 1: You gotta make sure you keep drinking water, can stay hydrated.
- 0:49Speaker 1: That's very, very very important. If you get heat stroke,
- 0:53Speaker 1: get help immediately. Heat stroke usually you get dizzy, you
- 0:57Speaker 1: get nauseous, you get you know, all kinds of things.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But mayor Mom, Donnie, he's on top of it. With
- 1:04Speaker 1: his cooling center.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You're activating more than twenty two hundred link NYC kiosks
- 1:09Speaker 2: to display real time directions to the nearest NYC cooling
- 1:13Speaker 2: center with an eight ten minute walk.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Ah, you hear that the eight ten minute walk in
- 1:17Speaker 1: one hundred degree heat and yet twenty two hundred kiosks
- 1:23Speaker 1: that'll direct you to the cooling center. Twenty two hundred
- 1:26Speaker 1: of them cooling centers they got three. That's not exactly
- 1:31Speaker 1: the right plan, but he's warning everybody the humidity.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It will feel even hotter with a heat indecks that
- 1:37Speaker 2: could peak around one hundred and twelve degrees. If the
- 1:40Speaker 2: forecast holds, this could be the hottest Fourth of July
- 1:44Speaker 2: since twenty ten.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Yeah. No, he's going to try to make him think, well,
- 1:47Speaker 1: this is climate change. Well, he just said since twenty
- 1:49Speaker 1: ten it was as hot as it is in twenty two.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We've had these heat waves forever. They happen every ten
- 1:56Speaker 1: years or so. It's perfectly normal. So hey, President Trump
- 2:01Speaker 1: flying to the Dakota's twice. He's gonna make two trips there.
- 2:06Speaker 1: He flew there, flew back, and now he's got to
- 2:09Speaker 1: go again in a date. Now you might say, well,
- 2:11Speaker 1: why didn't he just stay over, Because he's got a
- 2:13Speaker 1: ton of energy unlike the last president, So he can
- 2:18Speaker 1: make two trips back and forth to North Dakota, South Dakota.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And the other thing is they just got this new plane.
- 2:24Speaker 1: It is the most luxurious, spectacular plane in the world.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It's the one Katari gave us. The new air Force
- 2:33Speaker 1: one is not ready yet, the new air Force one.
- 2:35Speaker 1: This takes years, takes like eight years to build these things,
- 2:38Speaker 1: so it won't be ready for another year or two.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So the Qatari leader said, dear, take one of my
- 2:46Speaker 1: old planes. And his old plane is bigger than air
- 2:49Speaker 1: Force one, more spectacer. Go online and look at the
- 2:53Speaker 1: pictures of the interior. It's unbelievable. The most plush, luxurious bedrooms,
- 2:58Speaker 1: three or four of them. Take a look at the library.
- 3:01Speaker 1: That's the most spectacular library you've ever seen. It has
- 3:05Speaker 1: a like party rooms, conference room. It's absolutely amazing. This
- 3:09Speaker 1: is what goes on in the Middle East with these leaders,
- 3:11Speaker 1: Saudi leaders, Katari leaders. You know, these guys have got
- 3:16Speaker 1: so much money. It's beyond anything you can imagine anything.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So this, the most luxurious, biggest plane in the world,
- 3:25Speaker 1: is like one of his hand me downs. This is
- 3:27Speaker 1: like an extra plane he doesn't need. So in fact,
- 3:30Speaker 1: to him, it's like, yeah, get rid of that thing.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I don't get a better plane. So he donated as
- 3:35Speaker 1: the US president. I think that's why he's flying back
- 3:37Speaker 1: and forth twice. He just loves being on that plane.
- 3:41Speaker 1: In fact, should just go live on that plane here
- 3:43Speaker 1: while it's on the runway or something. So it's absolutely spectacular.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Last night there were some elections. Colorado specifically was another
- 3:54Speaker 1: example of the Democratic Party getting taken over by the crazy,
- 4:00Speaker 1: disgusting lunatic socialists. They bit by bit by bit, are
- 4:05Speaker 1: seizing control of the party. The candidate that won there
- 4:09Speaker 1: is one of these extreme Jew hating Israel hating, anti
- 4:15Speaker 1: Semitic socialist marxist ie knocked out. Somebody had been in
- 4:20Speaker 1: office thirty years. So if the takeover continues, Democrats, real Democrats,
- 4:25Speaker 1: don't know what the hell to do about it. In fact,
- 4:28Speaker 1: when this crazy socialist one started attacking Hakim Jeffries, it's
- 4:32Speaker 1: not just about, you know, affordability. They run on affordability
- 4:37Speaker 1: and that sort of stuff. What it really is one,
- 4:40Speaker 1: it's serious anti semitism. Two, it's hatred of the Democrats
- 4:47Speaker 1: and especially the Democratic leadership, the old guard, and this
- 4:51Speaker 1: candidate in Colorado specifically went after Hakim Jeffries, attacking him.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Schumer obviously is a pathetic old Willie Lohman, old fossil,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and the same thing with hak Kim Jeffers. They want
- 5:04Speaker 1: to throw out all of these people. Now, that's two
- 5:06Speaker 1: things going on there. One, they hate Trump so much
- 5:11Speaker 1: that they want him stopped, and they blame the current
- 5:15Speaker 1: Democratic leadership from being unable to do that. So they
- 5:18Speaker 1: think Schumer, Jeffries, the Pelosi types were totally ineffective at
- 5:23Speaker 1: stopping Trump. So they want crazier, younger, more radical. They
- 5:28Speaker 1: think that'll stop Trump. Now the other factor is, as
- 5:32Speaker 1: much as they hate Trump, they want their own Trumps.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You know, Trump was a guy who came in throughout
- 5:39Speaker 1: the establishment and his party and kind of radicalized the
- 5:42Speaker 1: whole thing and re energized it. You know, he threw
- 5:45Speaker 1: out the Bush machine and the Bush dynasty and all
- 5:48Speaker 1: the old guys, and you know, it was revolutionary. So
- 5:51Speaker 1: they want to do the same thing on the crazy left.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So they want their own kind of Trump takeover of
- 5:57Speaker 1: the party. But in the meantime they're elected socialists, Marxists.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And the scariest thing is this ridiculous, horrifying, disgusting anti semitism. Mike,
- 6:07Speaker 1: you might want to read Michael Goodwin's column in The
- 6:09Speaker 1: New York Post today, and I think the headline is
- 6:13Speaker 1: Democrats it's just become a Jew hating cult. It's disgusting.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Democrats first kind of they were afraid of these get people.
- 6:24Speaker 1: They started pandering a little too much, and now they're
- 6:26Speaker 1: like Schumer, just hiding under the desk. Listen to Vice
- 6:29Speaker 1: President Vance.
- 6:30Speaker 3: The Democrat Party has become run by the universities and
- 6:33Speaker 3: by the professors. This is not working class union Democrats.
- 6:37Speaker 3: This is not socially conservative people who just want to
- 6:40Speaker 3: fair shake at life. This is fundamentally a view that
- 6:44Speaker 3: the United States is an evil country that must be
- 6:47Speaker 3: dismantled from the ground and then built back up. That's
- 6:50Speaker 3: communism at its core.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah, now, years ago, decades ago, actually are these Soros types,
- 6:57Speaker 1: and China was involved in this. They're very They plot
- 7:00Speaker 1: like ten twenty thirty years out. So years ago they
- 7:04Speaker 1: began the takeover the universities. They took over the boards
- 7:06Speaker 1: of trustees, they took over the faculty, they infiltrated, they
- 7:10Speaker 1: loaded up the faculty with these types who brought up
- 7:14Speaker 1: generations of these crazies. And that's how a guy like
- 7:17Speaker 1: Mom Donnie can get elected, because these universities turned out
- 7:21Speaker 1: generation after generation after generation of radical nut jobs. And
- 7:25Speaker 1: they'll vote for a mom Donnie, and they'll vote for
- 7:28Speaker 1: that nut job in Colorado. So it's a big problem.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I don't know how you undo this, and I guess
- 7:33Speaker 1: there's a way to unto it, but it could take
- 7:35Speaker 1: years and years and years. Hey, you're going to hear
- 7:38Speaker 1: about this is gonna be the big theme of the
- 7:41Speaker 1: next few days and the weekend. The Sunday shows. It's
- 7:44Speaker 1: about Trump profiteering. He's profiteering off the presidency like nobody
- 7:50Speaker 1: ever before. And they lay out this whole case of
- 7:54Speaker 1: how he made billions and billions and he's making two
- 7:58Speaker 1: billion while in the last year and let me see here, Yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: he made one point four billion in crypto and other businesses.
- 8:06Speaker 1: He made sixty million here, forty million there, and this thing,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and it's almost almost two billion in a year, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: it sounds horrible. And then they write these things, but
- 8:17Speaker 1: how is this look to people that are struggling to
- 8:19Speaker 1: pay their bills? You know, they never mentioned that there's
- 8:23Speaker 1: a million Democrats and the Democrats are the party of
- 8:27Speaker 1: billionaires Silicon Valley guys. But they're going to attack them
- 8:31Speaker 1: like crazy for this.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Now.
- 8:32Speaker 1: They're never going to mention to you that this is
- 8:35Speaker 1: pretty much a typical year for Trump. In fact, if
- 8:38Speaker 1: he wasn't president, he probably would have made more money
- 8:40Speaker 1: because he would have been building more resorts, more hotels,
- 8:44Speaker 1: more real estate. Do you check the history of Trump,
- 8:47Speaker 1: This is a pretty typical year. And he's got a
- 8:50Speaker 1: massive business empire. Hotels all over the world, resorts all
- 8:55Speaker 1: over the world, golf courses all over the world, office buildings,
- 8:58Speaker 1: skyscrapers all over the world. World, he's got massive investments.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And when he's asked, he says, well, you know, I've
- 9:05Speaker 1: got people that handle him. It's in a what he
- 9:07Speaker 1: called it, a blind trust, you know, and he brings
- 9:09Speaker 1: in the top financial firms to run his assets. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: that's the profit you make off that. So in fact,
- 9:15Speaker 1: there are a lot of studies that show as much
- 9:17Speaker 1: as he made as president, he really took a loss
- 9:20Speaker 1: in that he would have made more had he not
- 9:22Speaker 1: been office and free to really really concentrate on making
- 9:26Speaker 1: money all day and night. But that's what goes. I mean,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, we've never had a billionaire president. They've never
- 9:32Speaker 1: got a look at the tax returns, the books of billionaires,
- 9:36Speaker 1: but they all look like this. It's pretty pretty typical
- 9:39Speaker 1: for a billionaire. So Hey, Supreme Court yesterday some really
- 9:45Speaker 1: crazy decisions. The craziest, everybody agrees is the birthright citizenship decision. So,
- 9:52Speaker 1: in other words, somebody's here, they've got a work permit,
- 9:56Speaker 1: they're visiting America, and they happen to have a baby.
- 9:59Speaker 1: The baby instantly becomes a full American citizen. It sounds crazy,
- 10:03Speaker 1: It is crazy. The Democrats thought it was crazy until recently.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You know, there's this famous Harry Reid. Remember he was
- 10:12Speaker 1: the leader of the Democrats, Harry Reid. You remember him?
- 10:16Speaker 1: You forgot about him from Nevada. This is nineteen ninety three.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Democrat Harry Reid introduced legislation to stop birthright citizenship. He said, quote,
- 10:27Speaker 1: no sane country would do that. No sane country would
- 10:30Speaker 1: give illegals citizenship. That was the position of the Democrats
- 10:34Speaker 1: back then. Well now they've gone crazy, and to everyone's shocked,
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Supreme Court, led by John Roberts, voted birthright citizenship
- 10:47Speaker 1: was okay. Now, a lot of people said, way back
- 10:49Speaker 1: when when Bush appointed John Roberts, this was going to
- 10:51Speaker 1: turn out to be a huge mistake. It pretty much has.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Here's people talking about it.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Are nineteen ninety three Harry Reid, a hard Democrat at
- 11:01Speaker 5: the time, came up with a bill that had ten points,
- 11:04Speaker 5: one of which was clarifying that birthright citizenship does not apply.
- 11:09Speaker 1: To foreign born parents.
- 11:11Speaker 5: You have to be an American citizen on American soul
- 11:13Speaker 5: for that to apply. This bill, also, by the way,
- 11:16Speaker 5: cracked down on the numbers of asylum seekers. It cracked
- 11:20Speaker 5: down on human smuggling. It massively tightened our borders, and
- 11:25Speaker 5: really hit employer's hard who hire illegals. I'm going to
- 11:28Speaker 5: introduce when I get back from recess on July thirteenth,
- 11:32Speaker 5: the identical bill.
- 11:35Speaker 1: He is so mad that he's going to be on
- 11:37Speaker 1: vacation till July thirteenth. That's a couple of weeks. But
- 11:40Speaker 1: when he gets back, if he has a moment, he
- 11:42Speaker 1: might introduce that.
- 11:43Speaker 6: The United States Supreme Court manufacturer manufacturing out of thin air,
- 11:48Speaker 6: a complete abomination of a ruling by the Chief Justice
- 11:53Speaker 6: suggesting that you can simply become a citizen from being
- 11:56Speaker 6: born on dirt, thereby validating the right practice of baby
- 12:01Speaker 6: factories and moving people here to be born to be
- 12:05Speaker 6: able to become a citizen.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you hear how. Maddie is also on vacation for
- 12:09Speaker 1: a couple of weeks. But when he gets back, if
- 12:11Speaker 1: he has a second he might look into this. Hey.
- 12:14Speaker 1: The other thing I want to warn you about is
- 12:16Speaker 1: the Taylor Swift wedding. Looks like it is absolutely on
- 12:21Speaker 1: today's Wednesday. It's Tomorrow, Friday, Saturday. The reason I mentioned
- 12:27Speaker 1: this if you don't care about Taylor Swift, is it's
- 12:31Speaker 1: going to cause street closures all around Madison Square Garden.
- 12:34Speaker 1: They've already got the permits to close the streets, to
- 12:37Speaker 1: block all kinds of stuff, to put up tents in
- 12:40Speaker 1: the streets. Now I know it's definitely happening. This is
- 12:44Speaker 1: one hundred percent it's happening because there are businesses on
- 12:46Speaker 1: these streets around Madison Square Garden, and from what I hear,
- 12:51Speaker 1: the police have visited them to explain that these tents
- 12:54Speaker 1: would up there would be street closures. Some of the
- 12:56Speaker 1: businesses were lucky. They said, this side of the street,
- 12:59Speaker 1: your sidewalk will be open. But it's definitely happening. Thursday
- 13:03Speaker 1: tomorrow is a rehearsal dinner for one hundred people, but
- 13:06Speaker 1: it's in Madison Square Garden. Friday is the party. It's
- 13:12Speaker 1: about two thousand people. A thousand to two thousand people,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and apparently this party, this wedding party, is going to
- 13:19Speaker 1: go all night long. It's not going to end until
- 13:21Speaker 1: the next day. It's going to be a party that
- 13:24Speaker 1: starts in the evening and continues until the next morning.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So it's going to be traffic closures like crazy all
- 13:33Speaker 1: around the garden, which means if you have to get
- 13:36Speaker 1: in and out of Penn Station, that could be a
- 13:38Speaker 1: little difficult to just bear that in mind. Now it's
- 13:41Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden. It's going to cost her a couple
- 13:43Speaker 1: million with the wedding planner event planner to set it
- 13:48Speaker 1: up inside there for a wedding. All kinds of trucks
- 13:53Speaker 1: have been coming in and out, vendors, you know, the
- 13:55Speaker 1: flower company, the lighting company, the tent company, all of this.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Now they've covered up the logos on their trucks. They're
- 14:05Speaker 1: covering up the names on their trucks. You would think
- 14:09Speaker 1: if you're a wedding provider vendor, you think you want
- 14:12Speaker 1: your names seen and get in the press. It would
- 14:14Speaker 1: get you a lot of business. But maybe she ordered
- 14:17Speaker 1: them to do that, or maybe they don't want the
- 14:20Speaker 1: press calling them and bugging them. The invitations have gone out.
- 14:26Speaker 1: She's trying to get total privacy on this wedding. So
- 14:30Speaker 1: there's going to be a no phone rule. Nobody is
- 14:33Speaker 1: allowed to bring a phone into the wedding, including the
- 14:36Speaker 1: people working there, including the vendors. Also, every invitation that
- 14:41Speaker 1: went out has a numbered water mark on it, so
- 14:45Speaker 1: if one of them leaks, if one of them's in
- 14:47Speaker 1: the press, she can see which one it was and
- 14:49Speaker 1: who it went to. Absolute privacy. Now, of course you
- 14:54Speaker 1: could easily get this, just like JFK. Junior did for
- 14:58Speaker 1: his wedding. You have it on a private eye island.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Remember you had that. There was a big private island
- 15:03Speaker 1: off Georgia. He just had the wedding there and then
- 15:05Speaker 1: nobody could get it on her off and he had
- 15:06Speaker 1: total privacy. If you're looking for total privacy, I would
- 15:09Speaker 1: say Madison Square Garden not the perfect spot. But also
- 15:14Speaker 1: if you talk to the great wedding planners, the event
- 15:16Speaker 1: planners who set up these things, they said they don't
- 15:21Speaker 1: see how on earth it's possible to make Madison Square
- 15:24Speaker 1: Garden look romantic. It's supposed to not look like a
- 15:27Speaker 1: concert venue. It's supposed to look romantic for a wedding,
- 15:31Speaker 1: so they don't see how the hell you're going to
- 15:33Speaker 1: transform it into something romantic, But anything's possible. We'll see.
- 15:39Speaker 1: But it's gonna snarl up the city for a couple
- 15:41Speaker 1: of days. So hopefully she doesn't have all of her
- 15:43Speaker 1: weddings here like this. Hopefully the next wedding will be
- 15:46Speaker 1: somewhere else. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred
- 15:49Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 15:53Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten, marksimone. Hey, let's
- 16:03Speaker 1: take some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 16:07Speaker 1: ten is the number eight hundred three two one zero
- 16:10Speaker 1: seven ten. Let's go to Denise in plain View. Denise,
- 16:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 16:15Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. I had to call you this morning
- 16:18Speaker 7: and wish you congratulations on your Garrett Media Award. Thanks
- 16:22Speaker 7: Barrett the first time corps but listening to you forever
- 16:28Speaker 7: and if anyone deserves it, it's you.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Wow. Thanks, you're in plain View. I like plain View.
- 16:34Speaker 7: You know you mustn't say that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you go to I your own pizza great restaurant there.
- 16:40Speaker 7: Yes, yes, I'm night by there.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yes, cravings yes right there?
- 16:47Speaker 7: Yes?
- 16:48Speaker 1: What else? What's another pizza place?
- 16:50Speaker 7: Know the area?
- 16:51Speaker 1: La Piazza. That's another good pizza.
- 16:52Speaker 7: There, yes, yes, in the same area.
- 16:55Speaker 1: And that bagel place around the corner, I forget the name.
- 16:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's Bagel.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, Bagel Town. Very good. Now, what are
- 17:03Speaker 1: you going to do for the next three days when
- 17:05Speaker 1: it's one hundred degrees out you won't be able to
- 17:07Speaker 1: go out?
- 17:07Speaker 7: Well right now, I'm out hiking and I'm just going
- 17:11Speaker 7: to take it slow the next three days.
- 17:12Speaker 1: And this he hiking hiking in plain View. No, oh, okay,
- 17:21Speaker 1: all right, thanks for calling, Denise. Take care. Let's go
- 17:24Speaker 1: to uh PAM in New Jersey. Pam, how you doing?
- 17:28Speaker 7: Hi?
- 17:29Speaker 8: I believe the Taylor Swift NSG event is going to
- 17:32Speaker 8: be packaged and marketed and sold.
- 17:36Speaker 1: No, that could be well, that's normal. You know when
- 17:37Speaker 1: you ban everybody from bringing their phone and you allow
- 17:39Speaker 1: no pictures, no press. Then you hire somebody to do
- 17:42Speaker 1: it all yourself, the video, the pictures, everything, Yeah, and
- 17:45Speaker 1: then you release it, you sell.
- 17:46Speaker 8: It to netfespecially since she she put in the castle.
- 17:49Speaker 8: The castles are a big theme of her most famous song.
- 17:52Speaker 8: So she's going to make a whole thing. And I
- 17:55Speaker 8: tell you, the girl just leaks money.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Wow, Well you've got talent, very talented. All right, thanks
- 18:01Speaker 1: for calling you. Pama's probably right. Let's see if some
- 18:05Speaker 1: TV trucks with cameras and equipment show up, and yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 1: she could package the whole thing, sell it as a
- 18:11Speaker 1: big special Amazon Netflix, sell it herself, maybe performed, you
- 18:17Speaker 1: know there there are rumors a lot of people are
- 18:20Speaker 1: going to be performing, including Stevie Nixon others. It's possible
- 18:26Speaker 1: you record all that, sell it as a big special
- 18:28Speaker 1: a concert. By the way, everybody going to the wedding,
- 18:30Speaker 1: all the guests are being forced to sign NDA's so
- 18:35Speaker 1: all leading to the possibility if she's going to try
- 18:37Speaker 1: to sell this. Let's go to Kevin in New Jersey. Kevin,
- 18:40Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Good morning. This Isamare. I'd like to discuss for you
- 18:44Speaker 4: the Clyde Davis funeral. I was listening to Baron Manlius speak.
- 18:49Speaker 4: I've known him for like thirty years. He spoke very
- 18:52Speaker 4: nice for someone who went to cancer. He sounds so nice.
- 18:58Speaker 1: He discussed, well, he is a nice guy. He's a
- 19:00Speaker 1: very nice guy.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Yeah. I enjoy him discussing how he creates this old mansy. Well,
- 19:07Speaker 4: a nice way.
- 19:08Speaker 1: He did it was originally called Brandy. Really yeah, but
- 19:12Speaker 1: there had been a big hit the year before, two
- 19:15Speaker 1: years before, called Brandy.
- 19:16Speaker 4: It was very nice talking with you. Thank you?
- 19:19Speaker 1: All right? What the hell is that noise behind him?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Sound like a bird? Yeah, nothing personal, but anybody has
- 19:26Speaker 1: a bird. Usually a little nutty if they have birds.
- 19:29Speaker 1: But anyway, let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, see
- 19:32Speaker 1: you I got but this guy does not have a bird.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I guarantee you what you don't have a bird to Mark.
- 19:39Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Matra Mark. I have another
- 19:42Speaker 9: thing that Bruce Blakeman could run on just in time
- 19:46Speaker 9: for the new fiscal year which started today, the city's
- 19:49Speaker 9: fiscal year. These are so big. Democrats are always talking
- 19:53Speaker 9: about unaffordability, affordability, but you never want to really speak
- 19:58Speaker 9: about why it's unaffordable. Well, yesterday on the radio news
- 20:03Speaker 9: Loan Behold, I heard along with Kathy Hukal's budget, she's
- 20:07Speaker 9: raising the water and sewerage fees ten percent across New
- 20:13Speaker 9: York State. Now, those poor suckers who own rent control
- 20:17Speaker 9: and rent stabilized buildings, they can add the new increases
- 20:21Speaker 9: to the rents. But I can, and anybody else who
- 20:25Speaker 9: owns a private building can. And this is the reason
- 20:30Speaker 9: why it is becoming almost impossible to live in New
- 20:34Speaker 9: York City, because you cannot do anything without water. It's
- 20:40Speaker 9: gonna affect the price of coffee, the price that your
- 20:43Speaker 9: restaurant charges you, everything. Water is the Montezuma's revenge, the
- 20:50Speaker 9: of taxes. And also what this rotten city figured out
- 20:55Speaker 9: years ago. They add the fees they collect from the
- 20:59Speaker 9: water and sewer. It's now it goes into the general funds.
- 21:04Speaker 9: Years ago when more sensible mans like gods ran the
- 21:08Speaker 9: water that the money they collected from the water and
- 21:11Speaker 9: sewer were ear marked just for water and sewer project.
- 21:17Speaker 9: And the farmer is upstate and the land known as
- 21:20Speaker 9: upstate are sick and tired of having their land obscounted
- 21:25Speaker 9: so that they could make more reservoirs so that the
- 21:29Speaker 9: people downstate could abuse it and wasted. When I was upstate,
- 21:35Speaker 9: we got for there and staying at a friend's house,
- 21:38Speaker 9: he explained.
- 21:39Speaker 1: To me taking care of something, to take something.
- 21:43Speaker 9: Up yea, when no I was, I stayed in a
- 21:46Speaker 9: friend's house.
- 21:48Speaker 1: To go upstate, and that.
- 21:50Speaker 9: I stayed up before the and which is the town
- 21:54Speaker 9: next over to Lake George they stayed over there.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Nice. Then we got to go because we got
- 22:00Speaker 1: to do the news.
- 22:01Speaker 9: But great Cork.
- 22:03Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. You know, people always say that, Wow,
- 22:06Speaker 1: that's why nobody can live here. That's why nobody can
- 22:08Speaker 1: live in New York. Nobody can afford the delivery. Hey,
- 22:10Speaker 1: last night we had the big Barrett Media Summit. It
- 22:12Speaker 1: was a great event. Check out my Instagram you can
- 22:15Speaker 1: see pictures. But there was a cocktail party afterwards. It
- 22:18Speaker 1: was a dinner afterwards. I'm coming home with some people.
- 22:20Speaker 1: This is like eleven o'clock at night, stuck in traffic,
- 22:24Speaker 1: gridlock everywhere, nothing but traffic, especially going to the theater district.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Going there was nothing but traffic. So apparently somebody can
- 22:32Speaker 1: afford to live here. It's pretty damn crutcher. Try to
- 22:34Speaker 1: book a hotel room right now, you can't get one.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And if you could, they're like three thousand a night.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So somebody's coming here. Hey, when we come back, the
- 22:42Speaker 1: brilliant John Carney with these job numbers again, did the
- 22:45Speaker 1: economy oil prices? We'll get to that in a moment.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Seven to ten w R. Let's get the latest news.
- 22:52Speaker 10: Here's Daria Albinger looking good yesterday, Mark, you clean up well,
- 22:55Speaker 10: thank you. The high today in Hell, Michigan, Mark is
- 22:58Speaker 10: going to be ninety four degree. The high today here
- 23:01Speaker 10: in New York will be ninety five.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Mark Simone Show, Live from the
- 23:07Speaker 1: w o R Life Back Studios. Well, there's nobody better
- 23:11Speaker 1: at covering business the economy than Breitbart Business Digest, and
- 23:16Speaker 1: John Karney is the guy behind it. John Carney, the
- 23:19Speaker 1: great writer, reporter. In fact, the Breitbart Business Digest the
- 23:23Speaker 1: first thing Larry Cudler reads every morning, first thing Scott
- 23:27Speaker 1: Bessett reads every morning. And you sign up for it.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It's free. Just go to Breitbart dot com, go to
- 23:33Speaker 1: the Business Digest to actually go to newsletters. Go to
- 23:36Speaker 1: Breitbart go to newsletters, and then sign up for the
- 23:39Speaker 1: Breitbart Business Digest. Come write to your email every day.
- 23:43Speaker 1: John Carney, how you doing.
- 23:45Speaker 11: You gave me a great idea, Mark, I should actually
- 23:48Speaker 11: just have a page that's Breitbart dot Com slash Business Digest. Yes,
- 23:53Speaker 11: let's think it's simple for people. I'm gonna put put
- 23:56Speaker 11: the word in with the powers to.
- 23:57Speaker 12: Be Yes, exactly, get directly there.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, well, these job numbers that came out of
- 24:02Speaker 1: they are a little disappointing.
- 24:05Speaker 11: You know, I actually thought that they weren't as bad. Yeah, look,
- 24:08Speaker 11: they came short. These are the ADP job numbers, and
- 24:12Speaker 11: they came short a little bit of where you know, analysts.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Thought they would be.
- 24:18Speaker 11: But ninety eight thousand is actually pretty good number. And
- 24:22Speaker 11: remember this is happening amidst uh, you know, all of
- 24:28Speaker 11: the you know, kind of chaos. People didn't know like
- 24:31Speaker 11: is the war and Iran ending?
- 24:32Speaker 12: Is it not ending?
- 24:34Speaker 11: Ninety eight thousand, I thought is a pretty strong number,
- 24:37Speaker 11: And when you look through it, you could actually see
- 24:41Speaker 11: that there was pretty good hiring in construction, in manufacturing.
- 24:49Speaker 11: The weakness really in this report I think came in
- 24:53Speaker 11: leisure and hospitality.
- 24:54Speaker 12: Which really it was a little bit.
- 24:57Speaker 8: Yeah, they only.
- 24:58Speaker 11: Hired so leisure hospitality is a huge industry, right, you know,
- 25:02Speaker 11: it is restaurants, amusement parks. It's a big summer hiring.
- 25:09Speaker 11: These numbers I assume are seasonally adjusted, and so it
- 25:13Speaker 11: could be that what happened was that some of the
- 25:17Speaker 11: hiring that went on with the you know, summer jobs
- 25:23Speaker 11: fell a little short of what their seasonal adjustment expected.
- 25:27Speaker 11: Because I guarantee you more than two thousand people were
- 25:29Speaker 11: hired into leisure and hospitality jobs in the month of June.
- 25:34Speaker 11: So what we're looking at here is really a seasonal
- 25:39Speaker 11: adjustment number that fell short. That doesn't mean it wasn't disappointing,
- 25:44Speaker 11: but it does mean that you have to look at
- 25:46Speaker 11: this and say, Okay, there's no way two thousand people
- 25:50Speaker 11: were hired, you know, I mean two thousand people were
- 25:53Speaker 11: probably hired in you know, just to work, you know,
- 25:57Speaker 11: the ticket counters, amusement parks all over America. So I'm
- 26:03Speaker 11: not too worried about this number.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Hey, but between robots and AI, why aren't we losing
- 26:10Speaker 1: jobs like crazy with all that going on?
- 26:13Speaker 11: Now, that's a really good question, and a lot of
- 26:17Speaker 11: people thought we would be losing a lot of jobs.
- 26:19Speaker 11: The only place that actually seems to be losing jobs
- 26:23Speaker 11: two places. There's some job contraction in the financial sector.
- 26:28Speaker 11: There's a lot of jobs in finance that can be
- 26:34Speaker 11: instead of having ten people do them, you can probably
- 26:36Speaker 11: have seven people plus some AI, so you know, you
- 26:41Speaker 11: don't lose all the jobs, but you can do it
- 26:44Speaker 11: with fewer and that in tac remember a few years
- 26:48Speaker 11: ago they were saying everybody should have learned to code
- 26:50Speaker 11: and that would be the future. Well, it turns out
- 26:52Speaker 11: that AI can code pretty well, and so you know,
- 26:57Speaker 11: it's a little bit like a Greek myth where like they,
- 26:59Speaker 11: you know, the gods are always killing their parents, Zeus
- 27:02Speaker 11: kills Kronos. The AI is killing its parents.
- 27:07Speaker 12: Right.
- 27:07Speaker 11: It is hurting the tech industry more than anything else.
- 27:10Speaker 11: But to be honest, the tech the job losses in
- 27:13Speaker 11: tech aren't even that big. But it's just that it's
- 27:18Speaker 11: unusual when you have a growing economy for there to
- 27:21Speaker 11: be any job losses in technology. We tend to only
- 27:26Speaker 11: lose jobs in technology when we've had when we're in
- 27:30Speaker 11: a recession. So when you're the economy is growing and
- 27:34Speaker 11: you're losing jobs in tech, it'll feel to them like
- 27:38Speaker 11: a recession, but it's clearly not.
- 27:41Speaker 8: So.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Hey, I look at the price of oil. Sixty eight
- 27:45Speaker 1: dollars a barrel. That's a pretty much pre war level.
- 27:48Speaker 1: That's pretty close to it. How long does it take
- 27:51Speaker 1: so we see that at the pumps?
- 27:54Speaker 11: Yeah, I think we're coming, you know, I know, people
- 27:56Speaker 11: are always this happens every time. People get very impatient,
- 28:01Speaker 11: including you know, our president wants the gas prices to
- 28:06Speaker 11: come down. The national average though today is three dollars
- 28:11Speaker 11: and let's call it eighty five cents. It's you know,
- 28:14Speaker 11: the way they do gas prices, and I have no
- 28:16Speaker 11: idea why this is.
- 28:17Speaker 9: They always do it.
- 28:18Speaker 11: Three dollars eighty four cents and then seven tenths right.
- 28:22Speaker 12: You know, you go to the gas pumpet, there's a
- 28:24Speaker 12: tenth of a.
- 28:25Speaker 11: Point there, and you're wondering, why, why is that?
- 28:27Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 28:28Speaker 11: But in in the national average is down to three
- 28:33Speaker 11: dollars eighty four cents. That's a lot better than where
- 28:36Speaker 11: we've been a year ago. Look, we were at three
- 28:38Speaker 11: dollars and seventeen cents. Three called three dollars eighteen cents,
- 28:43Speaker 11: and so we're not all the way down to there,
- 28:46Speaker 11: but we're getting there pretty rapidly.
- 28:48Speaker 4: I mean, we.
- 28:48Speaker 11: Were up at four dollars and fifty cents, and now
- 28:52Speaker 11: we're down to, you know, three dollars eighty four cents.
- 28:56Speaker 11: In New York it's around four dollars. It's going to
- 29:00Speaker 11: come down pretty quickly. Over in New Jersey it's three
- 29:05Speaker 11: dollars and eighty four cents. And you know, so look,
- 29:09Speaker 11: if you're driving around New York and you want to
- 29:11Speaker 11: save some money, you can probably just you know, fill
- 29:14Speaker 11: up in New Jersey.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, thanks, I'd rather get it here, but
- 29:20Speaker 1: you know, you got to you can't pump your own
- 29:21Speaker 1: gas in New Jersey. Got some kind of law that
- 29:23Speaker 1: you can't pump your own gas there. It's quite an
- 29:26Speaker 1: annoying law.
- 29:26Speaker 11: Yeah, that's it's super strange. The cheapest gas in New
- 29:34Speaker 11: York City. Uh, it's actually in You won't be shot
- 29:38Speaker 11: by this. It's Staten Island.
- 29:40Speaker 12: So if you want to, you know, if you want
- 29:42Speaker 12: to stay to the five boroughs, uh, that island. So
- 29:45Speaker 12: it's cheaper.
- 29:46Speaker 11: It's about forty cents more in Manhattan. That's just because
- 29:50Speaker 11: there's just so maney fewer gas stations around Manhattan.
- 29:54Speaker 12: It's you know, uh, and.
- 29:56Speaker 11: It's all commercial vehicles that built you know, very few
- 29:59Speaker 11: uh will fill.
- 30:00Speaker 12: Up their gas in New York City. It's it's ubers,
- 30:03Speaker 12: it's taxes, it's trust interesting.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Hey. Kevin Warsh, new FED chairman, declines to hint at
- 30:10Speaker 1: July rate decision, but says inflation too high. Well that
- 30:15Speaker 1: sounds good, right, He's right, isn't he.
- 30:17Speaker 11: Yeah, it's one of my favorite things.
- 30:19Speaker 12: Declined to hint at July rate decision.
- 30:21Speaker 11: Yes, Kevin Warsh has told us he does not think
- 30:24Speaker 11: the FED should be telling us in advance what it's
- 30:27Speaker 11: going to be doing. He hates forward guidance. But every
- 30:30Speaker 11: time he speaks, at least for the you know, the
- 30:32Speaker 11: next few months, I think we're going to you know,
- 30:35Speaker 11: he's going to be us. Will you please make an
- 30:37Speaker 11: exception today and give.
- 30:39Speaker 12: Us forward guidance?
- 30:40Speaker 11: And he will always say no, I told you, I
- 30:44Speaker 11: don't believe that the FED should be doing this.
- 30:46Speaker 12: So yes, he declined to get it.
- 30:48Speaker 11: He's correct. Inflation is too high, but that's not news, right,
- 30:51Speaker 11: everybody knows inflation is still too high. The good news
- 30:55Speaker 11: is inflation is coming down. The next We've had a
- 30:58Speaker 11: couple high inflation reports primarily driven by high gas prices.
- 31:02Speaker 11: Gas prices have come down a lot. That's going to
- 31:05Speaker 11: show up in the CPI reports of the consumer price Index.
- 31:09Speaker 11: So the main inflation index we have.
- 31:14Speaker 12: In the next.
- 31:15Speaker 11: One, it may go to zero. It may go.
- 31:19Speaker 12: Negative in the months ahead because the gas prices are coming.
- 31:24Speaker 11: Down so quickly. There are other pockets of inflation, but
- 31:29Speaker 11: the real driver of inflation going back up this year
- 31:32Speaker 11: has been gas prices and things directly adjacent.
- 31:35Speaker 12: To gas prices.
- 31:36Speaker 11: So like airfares went up, but that's because you know,
- 31:39Speaker 11: jet fuel got more expensive.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, John Cornie, Breitbart Business Digest, give us an update,
- 31:45Speaker 1: Jerome Poll. Where where is he now? Have we gotten
- 31:48Speaker 1: rid of him? Is he still hanging around?
- 31:51Speaker 12: He's still hanging around.
- 31:54Speaker 4: He is.
- 31:55Speaker 11: He's decided, unlike everybody else who has ever been chairman,
- 32:01Speaker 11: that when his chairmanship ended, he was going to stick
- 32:04Speaker 11: around on the Board of Governors because he thinks he
- 32:06Speaker 11: is indispensable to the independence of the fet You know,
- 32:10Speaker 11: it just it'll collapse without him. I guess he's stuck around.
- 32:15Speaker 11: There's there was some speculation that he might lead if
- 32:19Speaker 11: the Supreme Court allowed Lisa Cook, who was another FED
- 32:22Speaker 11: governor who Donald Trump tried to remove, and the Supreme
- 32:26Speaker 11: Court said this week, no, you can't remove her. You
- 32:31Speaker 11: and especially you can't remove her.
- 32:34Speaker 12: You know they might have a point of this.
- 32:35Speaker 11: You can't remove her with a truth social post. You
- 32:38Speaker 11: have to have a notice and hearing, and you know,
- 32:42Speaker 11: give her formal notice, explain to her why you're firing her,
- 32:45Speaker 11: let her answer it. So, by the way, Donald Trump's
- 32:48Speaker 11: going to do that almost immediately. That's what he did
- 32:50Speaker 11: deliver to him her the formal notice saying we have
- 32:54Speaker 11: we there are credible allegations that you committed a form
- 32:58Speaker 11: of mortgage fraud, and you think that you are no
- 33:02Speaker 11: longer fit to serve on the Fed. She'll get to.
- 33:04Speaker 12: Answer it, but eventually I think she actually may end
- 33:08Speaker 12: up being removed anyway.
- 33:11Speaker 11: Unfortunately, though, because of that possibility.
- 33:13Speaker 12: It probably needs house sticks around.
- 33:16Speaker 11: He doesn't want to go as long as he thinks
- 33:20Speaker 11: that there you know, Trump is going to mess around
- 33:23Speaker 11: with the with.
- 33:25Speaker 12: The federal reserves.
- 33:27Speaker 4: He should go.
- 33:28Speaker 12: It doesn't make any sense. But you know, maybe this
- 33:33Speaker 12: is the most funny he's ever.
- 33:34Speaker 11: Had, right, but he may just love being on the
- 33:36Speaker 11: Fed so much that he just doesn't want to leave.
- 33:39Speaker 11: Kevin Wore should give him the worst parking spot, yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 11: you know, yeah, especially on a day like today, you
- 33:50Speaker 11: know where it's like ninety eight degrees. If you you know,
- 33:53Speaker 11: you you park them, you know, steven blocks away from
- 33:56Speaker 11: the Fed.
- 33:56Speaker 12: Let him show up, you know, dredged and sweat and uh.
- 33:59Speaker 11: And and put his parking spot under a tree that's
- 34:03Speaker 11: full of birds to the car.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Even better, Hey, great stuff, brilliant as always John Carney
- 34:11Speaker 1: now You should go to brightbart dot com and then
