Get ready for an epic Fourth of July spectacle — the Golden Gate Bridge is shutting down Saturday night for a historic fireworks display celebrating America’s 250th birthday. This marks only the third time ever the bridge has hosted fireworks, following the 50th and 75th anniversaries. Fireworks launch at 9:30 PM from the east side of the bridge and nearby barges, but the entire bridge closes to all traffic — cars, bikes, pedestrians — from 9 PM to 10 PM.
