Watching in a Turning World: Ezekiel The Watchman’s Mandate
Ezekiel’s mandate was simple: hear God’s Word, then warn God’s people. Watching requires proximity; you cannot warn others if you cannot hear Him. Authority comes from intimacy, not personality. A watchman who doesn’t listen cannot lead. Ask yourself: Am I hearing God clearly? Am I spending time in His Word? Am I willing to warn others even when it costs me? Silence is costly; obedience is urgent.
