It was just Donovan completely misfired. I was two two two routine jobs didn't

full key ahead and I lost my Steel four and then he just kind of

pushed ahead. He flipped his deck back around and got his routine jobs back,

So he got to play four routine jobs against Donovan, and Donovan played

three against him. So it's kind of like, not exactly what you're expecting

that matchup to happen, is actually a matchup I've played a lot. I

have proxies of both of those decks, and I've played him in person a

lot. I've played it online a lot, and it's probably I would say

a coin flip at worst. I think Donovan's favorite against it. Z disagreed

with that. I said it was about fifty fifty, but I think the

Steel and Donovan will hit more likely than not and keep fraud from getting that

Also, though in my very first round, I got match up versus Frozen

Tanton, who is Xander's brother, so we all got to play each other

in our little circle of fun, and yeah, Frozen Tanton came out the

victory on all of us. He is playing Psycho something or another, which

was the deck that Corey was playing. He played to second at gem Con,

so Fraud has lost of that deck twice. Now I hate it.

I hate it so much. Yeah, deck's very strong. If y'all'll know

what it does, it's a grunt woe deck. It pumps out constant threats

that people have to deal with. It also has two psychic networks. It

has replay Pod, a lot of draw pips and Mars Rebel, just a

lot of options. The Fish turns are really good. They got it has

double buffuddle and double reever dragnet and then so you're slowing them down on that.

And then when he goes to the Mars, he can just have insane

turns where he can steal five six amber full board, he can run his

Mars creatures into your board and then replay pod there's draw pits on those creatures.

So just a really strong deck. Yep, very strong got all the

playing it three times or I guess at least twice, because he always leaves

it with a bunch of captures, so if you're at like ten amber,

he can capture you completely off. And then he's also playing out of equit

on cards and he has a bubble with a draw pip, so it's like

Stewart like you know, or he can just pick up bubble bubble and he's

just picking up all your guys and he's drawn, so he's cycling through that

deck like crazy. So I know, frozen Tanton's deck didn't have any amber

control or artifact control, so once he got those sand Hoppers out, those

that definitely deal with it. Poulter Geist within furnaces, right or where you

deck was definitely cool, did lots of things we kind of want z before

sources, it was six WHO decks and two non WO decks in the top

eight. The two non WO were fraud and an eighty one SaaS World's Glide

say that people are gonna look at that and assume that what was crushing everything.

A lot of non Wow decks got knocked out in that last round.

So there was non WO decks that got one win away from winning it

Yeah, and then I in my top eight round, I hit my

new nemesis, which is Devin who always beat me when it matters. He

was playing a Wow deck. It was. It was a fish deck with

pretty good Brabner and we played and its like turn two or three and he's

already five or six wide. I'm brob and our guys against Fraud, and

that is one of Fraud's weaker points. And I lost that game two keys

to three. How it goes. And then we played one more game and

like I won three keys to zero, probably would have won four keys to

zero if we kept playing. Like the deck just didn't come together for him.

That's just how it goes. Like all all the WO decks can just

high roll like that the way they make creatures and can put all these creatures

down in one house. See See that was going to be one of the

concepts, so assists deck for that strange shell deck. A lot of WO

decks are really pushing high token generation. But I think it was very interesting

with the triple sand hopper and the outpost. So you really have four ways

to be able to cycle and efficiency to be able in the archive on board

with your strange shell. But that deck did not produce a lot of tokens,

so now we are just looking at it. It has like fourteen token

generation. I think it generates more than you might be thinking, more than

all of mine. I think the most token generation I have is ten.

Really, because Psycho only has nine and a half token generation, that one

is actually a lower token generating deck. The thing was Psycho though it all

the cards that make tokens make it easily. It's play make a token,

I have, I can go ahead and field an Alliance deck that is competitive,

especially with Woe versus going ahead and doing that with an Archondack. That

was the sentiment that I was hearing from others, and I thought it was

really interesting. I thought there was some very unique builds, some very interesting

builds. Yes, we had twenty five that were there. I really enjoyed

my experience. My purpose long Disease was a little bit more focused. We

were we're very very open. We wanted to be able to give no.

Ironically, we did have some tech issues for Alliance, so our first

round we were delayed a little bit and I was faced against someone who was

brand new. I was super excited, and then we got repaired and I

got repaired against Z. But my fun actually started before that because I was

planning on bringing a deck that was going to be Alliance. I knew that

Ooze was pushed over to draft Corps and drafts Core did a great job piloting

it running it. Unfortunately, my third pod, which I was expecting to

be able to play, was removed from my ability to play. That individual

is not coming to Dallas, and so a couple of days before I needed

to try and find another pod. So I put together what decks do I

have from Woe? What decks do people have that are coming out? And

as I went through, I had a couple ideas and we ran with it

the night before I ended up going ahead and putting one of those actually into

the master vault. And then in the morning, I'm still talking through with

Cheap. I mean, I have my World's invite. I'm going to be

playing our coon. That's where I was focused. I was perfectly fine with

this. It was very much an event that was set up ahead of time,

so I was looking forward to just being more casual and enjoying playing KeyForge

and not the stress of trying to be able to make Day two or top

top two for Worlds. And after talking with Sheep, we just looked the

deck. It looked decent, but it was missing some opponents and it really

wasn't competitive. So that morning I'm walking over, I'm talk with z z

brought out his old Alliance deck, his backup Alliance. Second, it was

a CODA deck, and I'm like, all right, So we're about fifteen

minutes before fine, this is enough of a deck that with CODA I could

play without too many reps or any reps. And that's what I decide to

stand into line, and I get up to a line to go get my

deck checks, and I'm talking with Devin Sheep's apparently new arch nemesis in June's

arch Nemesis so and Devin's like, hey, I got an Alliance deck.

And this Alliance deck was piloted to Nationals to top eight and go ahead and

use it again. You wouldn't necessarily see this in other card games, but

it's got reapout, you get SaaS, you get people here, you go

use it. And I looked at the decklist and sure, n off,

it was an MM build similar to what I had, and it was a

quality build. So three minutes before the events started, Devin ran back upstairs,

grabbed the deck, came down, and that's what I played, never

having run a single game with that deck at all. And so we had

a little bit of time as we got repaired, shuffled up, and then

I got repaired with z and so it's team on team kill right there,

and I opened up and I did end up beating z. So the joke

the whole weekend was that I am no longer a part of team and I've

been kicked out. So congratulations, thank thanks Sheet for going ahead and leading

that one out. But no, it was fun. Game number two.

I then faced against Zach from kPr and a lovely game. It was on

stream and you got to see all of my sweet sweet sweets was streamed.

Then it was streamed. Yes, when he lost our title belt, I

lost the not titled belt slap lap bracelet well slap riceles, and I think

is what we could afford, but two title belts. Yeah, but it

was actually a great time. We were singing. We're singing some some nice

what I was there for in Dallas was to play key for Its and have

fun. And Zach's build was a double nearboring flaming and he made top eight

with it, which is awesome. So I took my first loss, and

then I went ahead and played my third game, and then I ended up

going ahead and having probably one of the craziest endings that I have ever seen.

This was a game that I it's just absolutely crazy. It was a

triple fof transponder tech and that can do some really crazy things in Alliance.

So we had fun. I won my third game against Mike, who was

a big disc golf guy. We were talking there and then round number four

Alaskan Devil, which was Aaron who had gone to dinner in the night before,

and Aaron had that triple fof and it the final turn came. We

had Now we did have three judge calls, and those judge calls were just

to make sure that we were both on the same page with how destroyed effects.

He was playing Prospector with triple fof transponder and on one of the turns

alone, he spent out six creatures that with because he also had Space Invaders

and was able to go ahead and kill those creatures and draw and then go

ahead and play more Prospectors and kill them in the same term. So amazing

alliance build a lot of fun to play against. And I had been up

and then it came back. I was able to get rid of the transponder

based on where his draw was at the very end of his deck. So

I had a very very very lucky savage clash that was there, just well

timed, and that took care of a huge chunk of what was there for

the fof and we came. It was then pretty much an even game.

We're at two keys and time was called. So this is the only game

that went to time for me. In goodness the last two or three events

you did, but like out of two events that was there. But Aaron

went ahead and finished his turn and it came to me. Now, Aaron

went to eight on his turn, so I needed to be able to pull

him off check. But what I ended up having is I had an implosion

and four and then two in furnace, so everyone's lovely in furnace, and

I was able to go ahead and play an implosion be able to drop him

down to four. The implosion actually with the amber on that card, got

Meat to four, and at the end of the turn I had double fang

tooth cavern which destroyed two creatures. One of those had a destroyed effect to

create another token, and boys and girls, we were left with two keys,

two keys, four amber, four amber, two creatures on both sides.

No one had any chains, and so the game was one simply by

I went first, and I felt very, very dirty, but it was

For a while, we're still talking to lies. I've heard people like

local people saying, you know, I'd have a better shot because the fields

lower and all that. But I don't think I agree with that. You

might have a better shot to squeak in the top eight if you get the

right matchups. But just these team decks with people are buying pods for a

third of the deck that are probably more expensive than other decks people have,

and they have three of them, and then you know, I think it's

mostly going to be team decks making the top four I mean, you'd have

to be really committed. I have like fifteen hundred decks and I couldn't compete

with them. Well, I will tell you our top eight. The noble

one from Team Sas you had sack Legwag from kPr Trick Room, who came

in third, was the person who originally I had been partnered up with in

round one, but we got repartnered. He is actually just a local from

area who had not gone to another Vault tour before, was not part of

a team, and he just had two random woe decks that he put together

and again he finished third. He was actually one of the people who made

it in without going ahead and losing Dave c d Daker Darrow, who I

ended up facing. He was in fourth. I was there on fifth playing

it at rin deck. You had Aviator big Z and then Gorlami, who

actually took eight spots and ended up actually taking it in the end. So
