  Speaker 1: And then God's showed me his love for the single parent,

  Speaker 1: his love for all of us. But for whatever reason,

  Speaker 1: he was king in on single parenting through you know,

  Speaker 1: through what he was showing me through the scriptures. And

  Speaker 1: so today it's Friday, we get into authentic imitationology. This

  Speaker 1: is episode one and we're going to continue on the

  Speaker 1: message to the single parents. It's for everyone as well
• 1:06
  Speaker 1: a man. The word of God is eternal, the word
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: of God is inclusive. I know a lot of people say, oh,

  Speaker 1: Christians are so narrow minded, and your word is so
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: just specifically towards you people, And the Word is actually
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: all inclusive, one Savior, one Lord, one God, all inclusive.

  Speaker 1: Like in other words, that everyone can benefit off the
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: message of the Gospel. Everyone can benefit from the Word
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: of God if you put your whole faith and trust
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: in the Living God of the Living Word. This one

  Speaker 1: is called spiritual leadership. Spiritual leadership. What does that mean? Well,

  Speaker 1: I know a lot of single parents might feel overwhelmed
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: and they might worry that nothing can go right when
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: the other parent is not there, So there's like a
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: spiritual gap at home. But here's the truth. God fills

  Speaker 1: every role you think is missing. Repeat, God fills every

  Speaker 1: role that you think is missing. He honors your effort,

  Speaker 1: not your perfection. It's not about being a perfect parent.

  Speaker 1: It's about being a parent that loves God and now

  Speaker 1: knows how to love their children. According to the perspective

  Speaker 1: Spirit when reminded. When Holy Spirit reminded me that I

  Speaker 1: know some I know some single parents, and it seems

  Speaker 1: like I'm not as concerned as I should be about them,

  Speaker 1: specifically the ones that I know. Amen. So this was

  Speaker 1: put on my heart heavy and I repent it. And

  Speaker 1: I ask you, a single parent, that if you know

  Speaker 1: me personally and you feel like I'm not really you know,

  Speaker 1: regarding you or anything like along those lines, ask for

  Speaker 1: your forgiveness. So let's pray. First. After we pray with

  Speaker 1: It's Friday. So let's pray. Father, I thank you Thank you,

  Speaker 1: Lord God for your grace. Thank you Log God for

  Speaker 1: forgiving us, for giving us a fresh start today, for
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: renewing us, restoring us, redeeming us, keeping us protected and
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: guided and guarded by wave of your hold spirit. I pray,

  Speaker 1: Lord God that every single person that's watching and listening
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: that finds themselves in a situation where they are now
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: single parents, I pray Lord God that the single parents
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: would know and sense the love of a holy God,
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: the love of a father that loves and grants mercy
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: and grace every single day for their situation or for
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: their family. For our families as well, I pray A
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: had a protection over our family members. I had your
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: protection over myself. I had your protection over my wife,
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: our children, our grandchildren, our family members, every single one
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: of them from the very oldest to the very youngest,
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: and every single one of them in between. I pray
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: peace over every situation right now. I pray health to
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: our body, strength to our bones, that everything will line
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: up according to the will of God and purpose of
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: God and the perfect plan of God over our lives.

  Speaker 1: I know, Lord God, that you are concerned with our concerns,
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: but you have the truth and the life. You didn't
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: just become the way you are the way well, Jesus.

  Speaker 1: I thank you Lo God for your love. And I

  Speaker 1: pray Lord God that this message will settle the matter

  Speaker 1: about not being a perfect parent, but to be a

  Speaker 1: emirits in whose land you live. But as for me,

  Speaker 1: in my house, we will serve the Lord. You see

  Speaker 1: how already early on in the Bible, in the Bible times,

  Speaker 1: they were already people who were idolizing other gods in

  Speaker 1: the land. They were already serving gods that were not

  Speaker 1: the real, true, living, holy, righteous God. And this was

  Speaker 1: way back right with times but Joshua made a decision

  Speaker 1: for his household, for his family, although he wasn't perfect,

  Speaker 1: although he had issues, just like we all have issues

  Speaker 1: as parents. Amen, he made a declaration. He made a decision,

  Speaker 1: he says. But as for me, you could do all
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: of that he's saying, and you could serve those guys
• 10:22
  Speaker 1: over there, and you could do whatever you want to do.

  Speaker 1: But you have to choose. And some people made a
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: choice to serve the guys of this world. But Joshua

  Speaker 1: for his family, as the man of God, as the
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: head of his household, as a spiritual leader, he says,

  Speaker 1: as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Powerful declaration, And you could declare that right now over
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: your children. You could declare that right now for your
• 10:48
  Speaker 1: household with your single mom or your single dad, declared
• 10:51
  Speaker 1: that you're the spirit you had. If the other parent
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: is not involved, or the other parent is not available,
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: the other part parent may be deceased ephen or may
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: be incarcerated, or whatever the situation is. God knows your situation. Right,
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: you can make a declaration. You could decide to date, Amen,
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: as a spiritual leader of your household, that you and
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: your family and your house will serve the Lord on high. Amen,
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: and just see what happens. See what happens. I'm pretty
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: sure you tried other things right, and other things didn't
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: work out the way maybe you plan for it to
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: work out. But when you're in Christ right, things start
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: how do you call it falling into line? Things start
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: going in a way that's going to be beneficial to
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: you and your family. Amen. Sometimes it's not easy. Change
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: is not easy a lot of times, right, well said, well,
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: I never tried this. Let me try the way the
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: Lord wants me to be the spiritual leader. Let me
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: try the way to the Lord wants me to move
• 12:02
  Speaker 1: as a single parent. Right, So maybe that's the issue.
• 12:06
  Speaker 1: Maybe change is the issue. And I know a lot
• 12:11
  Speaker 1: of times when I try something different, the Lord asks
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: me or to do something that's different, like this series.

  Speaker 1: I don't think I ever did this series on my podcast.

  Speaker 1: And I've been podcasting since way back since two thousand

  Speaker 1: and four or five around there. It's been a while, Amen,

  Speaker 1: And I never, I never think I did this series.

  Speaker 1: God asks of me, I'm learning to do and just

  Speaker 1: God calls you strong. As a single parent, you may

  Speaker 1: feel unprepared because the other parent involved, well, the one
• 13:06
  Speaker 1: that should be with you is no longer there. But
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: God says you are chosen. And this is hits home
• 13:14
  Speaker 1: to me. Sometimes you feel alone, right, But Heaven stands
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: with you. Heaven stands with you. Amen. That's amazing. To
• 13:25
  Speaker 1: declare that Heaven stands with you is next level. Right.

  Speaker 1: So as a spiritual leader, let me get to the
• 13:33
  Speaker 1: beginning of these notes here. Amen. You might be thinking
• 13:42
  Speaker 1: I don't know enough about the Bible to be a
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: spiritual leader or spirit you had or the spiritual parent, right,
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: but a spiritual adult in your household. You might be saying,
• 13:53
  Speaker 1: I don't know enough Bible, right. But that worry about
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: not knowing enough Bible is actually fixable. It's understandable. I
• 14:08
  Speaker 1: respect that, Amen. I don't know enough Bible either, But
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: what I do, like I said earlier, I rely on
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit God to guide me into all truth, because
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: that's what he said it would do. I rely in
• 14:19
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit God to comfort me because that's what
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: he does. I allow Holy Spirit God to speak through
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: me because that's what he does. So if you don't
• 14:27
  Speaker 1: know enough Bible right, God feels every role you think
• 14:32
  Speaker 1: you're missing. He honors your effort. He doesn't He's not
• 14:36
  Speaker 1: looking for perfection a man. He's perfect and the perfect
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: one lives within us. But he's not looking for us
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: to get everything right all the time to know all
• 14:44
  Speaker 1: these scriptures. But he will remind us of what we

  Speaker 1: already do know and where. That's why the Bible says

  Speaker 1: to grow in the grace and knowledge of who the

  Speaker 1: Lord is, to grow in grace, to grow in the word. Amen,

  Speaker 1: to be who God called you to be is not

  Speaker 1: as hard as people might think. I know people think

  Speaker 1: I need a degree, I need this, and I need that.

  Speaker 1: I'm not realizing that there's no I never heard of

  Speaker 1: the group as well. About this, many single parents feel unqualified.

  Speaker 1: They feel overwhelmed spiritually, and they think that what if
• 15:26
  Speaker 1: I say the wrong thing? Amen, I've been there. I

  Speaker 1: wish I hadn't said a lot of things to my children. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And when I blurted out some things and it was
• 15:38
  Speaker 1: not the way I intended, I have to man up
• 15:42
  Speaker 1: as the man of God of the house and be like,

  Speaker 1: I'm sorry. That was my fault. I wasn't you know,

  Speaker 1: I wasn't thinking about this. I'm too tired to lead spiritually. Well,
• 15:52
  Speaker 1: thank you Lord. Amen that when we find ourselves tired
• 15:56
  Speaker 1: and weak, we have a Lord, We have a savior.

  Speaker 1: We have God to go to. He said he would
• 16:01
  Speaker 1: give us rest and prepare us for the day. Amen.

  Speaker 1: About this, my kids need more than I can give.

  Speaker 1: A guilt trip sent from the powers of Hell itself

  Speaker 1: smells like smoke. It's a lie. You and I have
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: more than enough when we have the grace of God,
• 16:17
  Speaker 1: When we have the mercy of God, we have more
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: than enough through the riches of God, through Christ's riches.

  Speaker 1: We have God's riches at Christ's expense. We have the
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: grace of God. He would supply all of our needs.

  Speaker 1: Jehovah Jabra, the God who sees all of our needs
• 16:36
  Speaker 1: and supplies for every single one of them. Amen. That's
• 16:40
  Speaker 1: when we need to know God's names. That's when we
• 16:42
  Speaker 1: need to know God's character. Amen. My kids need more
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: than I can give. And then you're met with the provider. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So he says, I'm giving you all that you need
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: for you for the overflow to give to your kids
• 16:55
  Speaker 1: as well. How about this. Single parents might feel spiritually empty.

  Speaker 1: How can I lean anyone? And that's a tough space
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: to be Amen. And it's tough because life is throwing
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: everything at us. The devil hates us, right, the lust
• 17:12
  Speaker 1: of the eyes, the pride of life, the world's system Amen,
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: and the devil all against the plans of God in
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: our lives. As a single parent, as a parent that
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: has the whole structure, the mom and a dad and
• 17:26
  Speaker 1: dad and the mom. Whether you're a single parent, and
• 17:29
  Speaker 1: whether you're a parent that's co parenting with the spouse,
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: your spouse or your significant other. Amen. Listen, God has
• 17:42
  Speaker 1: the feeling. Amen. He fills to overflow. Right, he feels
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: so full. We're never empty, and I know it might
• 17:54
  Speaker 1: feel that way. Just because God has promised us the
• 17:59
  Speaker 1: things that we need doesn't mean that way to goe
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: to our flesh or or mindset sometimes is going to
• 18:05
  Speaker 1: feel like we're abandoned alone. But God is faithful to
• 18:09
  Speaker 1: his word and he's faithful to us. So here's something
• 18:13
  Speaker 1: you need to hear, some truth. Amen. All of it
• 18:15
  Speaker 1: has been truth, especially when you start with the word
• 18:17
  Speaker 1: of God. We're already starting on a good ground when
• 18:20
  Speaker 1: we start with the Word of God. Spiritual leadership is
• 18:23
  Speaker 1: not about how much scripture you know or how many
• 18:26
  Speaker 1: devotionals you do. It's about your example, your faith, your love,
• 18:32
  Speaker 1: and your willingness, your willingness, your availability, and your willingness
• 18:37
  Speaker 1: to see God even in your inperfections, even imperfectly perfect.
• 18:43
  Speaker 1: Example is this is this morning devo. Not a perfect situation,
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: not a perfect devotional, Amen, just a man of God
• 18:53
  Speaker 1: relying on the Holy Spirit to speak through me so
• 18:56
  Speaker 1: we could all learn what the scriptures are trying to say.

  Speaker 1: The Word of God is speaking to us. So God
• 19:04
  Speaker 1: does more with you a little then you and I think, Amen,
• 19:11
  Speaker 1: give what you have to the Lord and watch what happens.
• 19:14
  Speaker 1: He will bless what we have. He will bless our
• 19:16
  Speaker 1: offering to him. Amen. And all these other things that
• 19:19
  Speaker 1: we think we're not capable of, that we think we're
• 19:22
  Speaker 1: not qualified as a parent, as a single parent, as
• 19:27
  Speaker 1: a parent, a grandparent, Amen. Or we can do all
• 19:31
  Speaker 1: things to Christ, who gives us the strength to get
• 19:33
  Speaker 1: it done. So Tewod Corinthians twelve nine says, my strength.
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. So I
• 19:42
  Speaker 1: admit that I have some weak points, what about you?
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: But in that weakness God shows up. And that's why
• 19:48
  Speaker 1: the world is amazed. And they don't understand how we
• 19:52
  Speaker 1: still stay standing in situations in life where many are
• 19:56
  Speaker 1: falling or you know, astray. They're going to the left
• 20:01
  Speaker 1: because they don't know or understand the God that we serve. Amen.

  Speaker 1: They don't understand or know the God that we worship. Right.
• 20:13
  Speaker 1: And my hopes is that they will get to know
• 20:16
  Speaker 1: the same Lord that we know, so that way they
• 20:19
  Speaker 1: will understand that, Oh wow, now we understand. Now I
• 20:22
  Speaker 1: understand how this person and that single mom and that
• 20:26
  Speaker 1: single dad keep ongoing and they have this smile and
• 20:29
  Speaker 1: they have this endurance and they have this hope, and
• 20:32
  Speaker 1: they're trusting in their faith and have a community of supporters,
• 20:36
  Speaker 1: and they have a group of Christians that they go
• 20:39
  Speaker 1: to weekly daily. They break bread with brothers and sisters
• 20:43
  Speaker 1: and the Lord, and they have a system that's way
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: far more better than this world system. Amen. So there's
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: ways to lead spiritually as a single parent. Keep it simple.
• 20:56
