- 1:01Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well, I have a
- 1:05Speaker 2: real treat for you. I have an incredible interview with
- 1:08Speaker 2: two of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars. This
- 1:12Speaker 2: interview was done in 2024 before either of the girls
- 1:17Speaker 2: had experienced even a 10th of the fame and fortune
- 1:21Speaker 2: that they have since. And I thought it would be
- 1:24Speaker 2: so interesting for you to go back and listen to
- 1:27Speaker 2: this and realize how much has changed. It's also a
- 1:31Speaker 2: really funny episode with Jen Affleck and Demi. So now
- 1:37Speaker 2: let's get into it. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well,
- 1:41Speaker 2: I have two of the new stars of the hot
- 1:44Speaker 2: new show on Hulu, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Welcome.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Both of you, gorgeous.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:53Speaker 2: First of all, I tried to make my hair look
- 1:56Speaker 2: like yours. They're both long locks, honeysuckle. We've got Jen
- 2:01Speaker 2: Affleck and Demi. Tell me what your last name is.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Angaman.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Angaman. And I have watched four episodes, you guys. This
- 2:10Speaker 2: airs on September 6th, Friday on Hulu. And they were
- 2:15Speaker 2: nice enough to give me the screeners. And so I
- 2:18Speaker 2: saw one and I'm like, oh, that's all they're going
- 2:20Speaker 2: to give me. And then I watched four and I'm
- 2:23Speaker 2: so excited for the Juicy Scoopers because I thought, I
- 2:26Speaker 2: can't believe they gave me this many episodes. Like, what
- 2:28Speaker 2: are they thinking? Because it's so juicy. And then I
- 2:30Speaker 2: was like, oh, God, they're going to piecemeal it. And
- 2:33Speaker 2: I'm like, they really should give it to them, give
- 2:35Speaker 2: us it all so we get hooked. And then if
- 2:37Speaker 2: you come back, if they want to string us along
- 2:40Speaker 2: once a week, I think that's the way to do it.
- 2:43Speaker 2: And that's what they did.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:44Speaker 4: I like that.
- 2:45Speaker 2: So I love that everyone can listen to this interview,
- 2:49Speaker 2: get a little familiar, and then watch it.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Because I think it's really good. And I'm not just
- 2:56Speaker 2: blowing steam up your blowout.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Good, good, because that's— We haven't watched it, so whatever
- 3:03Speaker 5: you've seen, we have not seen.
- 3:04Speaker 2: We lived it.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yes, we definitely lived it, and it was definitely juicy,
- 3:08Speaker 3: no question.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Okay, so let's just start from the beginning of why
- 3:13Speaker 2: some people might be already familiar with you guys, but
- 3:16Speaker 2: you don't have to be, is you started this TikToking
- 3:20Speaker 2: sensation where where all you guys who are young Mormon
- 3:24Speaker 2: moms living in a close-knit area of Utah were influencers.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Some of you were influencers on your own. And then
- 3:33Speaker 2: who was it that first said, hey, do you guys
- 3:35Speaker 2: want to come over for soda? Because you don't drink
- 3:38Speaker 2: or do coffee, or at least you're not supposed to.
- 3:41Speaker 2: And let's dance with our long locks. Like who thought
- 3:48Speaker 2: to go, let's put the camera here. And let's all
- 3:52Speaker 2: like go like, and also what's with this move?
- 3:55Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I'm just doing it.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Let's see it. Oh, that was good.
- 4:01Speaker 1: That was good.
- 4:02Speaker 4: That was better than me. You're officially part of mom talk.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Who thought of lifting up the body and popping the
- 4:06Speaker 2: ass as you turn.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, baby. A wing. In the trailer.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it. Yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 4: That's it.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yes. Oh my gosh. We're going to do a TikTok
- 4:15Speaker 4: after this.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yes.
- 4:16Speaker 4: You're in. You're in. Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 2: So who thought of that first move? And who's a
- 4:22Speaker 2: real dancer and who's just someone that can do the moves?
- 4:26Speaker 5: I mean, I don't think that anyone really thought of, like,
- 4:30Speaker 5: TikTok for Charlie D'Amelio and Addison Rae, definitely.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. They kind of started doing that with
- 4:36Speaker 2: the camera on the stand. Yes.
- 4:37Speaker 3: It's definitely Gen Z.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Okay, uh-huh.
- 4:40Speaker 4: But it was, like, yeah, that's the thing.
- 4:43Speaker 5: When I got on, I remember so many people being like,
- 4:45Speaker 5: get the moms off of this app. Like, they do
- 4:48Speaker 5: not deserve to be here. They should not be on here.
- 4:51Speaker 5: You're so old.
- 4:52Speaker 2: And, like, I mean, even to you, I feel like
- 4:55Speaker 2: all the.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Time, I'm like, what are you talking about? I'm like,
- 4:57Speaker 3: you're talking to Jenny from the lab.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I'm just kidding. No, like they would say it to
- 5:03Speaker 4: anyone over 18. I swear. No, they're like, you're old. Ooh,
- 5:06Speaker 4: get off this app. So that was kind of how
- 5:07Speaker 4: it started.
- 5:08Speaker 5: And for me, I was like, when you tell me
- 5:09Speaker 5: not to do something, I'm going to go so much harder.
- 5:12Speaker 5: So I just went hard on it. And then it
- 5:14Speaker 5: was Taylor who kind of started the group. She had
- 5:18Speaker 5: an original group that she would like do little satire
- 5:20Speaker 5: videos with. And then it became this whole thing where
- 5:23Speaker 5: they would get together and We all were influencers already,
- 5:26Speaker 5: independent of MomTalk, and doing it for, you know, work,
- 5:31Speaker 5: you know?
- 5:32Speaker 4: And also for fun. Yes, for sure.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Meaning work that you guys got sponsors and you were
- 5:37Speaker 2: making an income.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Correct.
- 5:38Speaker 5: Yeah, we had done influencing. I had done it for
- 5:40Speaker 5: almost 10 years.
- 5:42Speaker 4: At that time. And then I think, I mean, she's
- 5:44Speaker 4: a lot younger than me, so you were pretty.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Fresh for me.
- 5:47Speaker 3: You guys are how old?
- 5:48Speaker 2: I'm 25.
- 5:49Speaker 4: And I just turned 30.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Well, you both look like you're... Must be that good
- 5:55Speaker 2: Mormon living.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, it's the spirit. It's the Holy Spirit right there.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Look at Mitt Romney. I remember when he was ready
- 6:02Speaker 2: for president, I was like, how does this guy look
- 6:03Speaker 2: so young? Oh, that's right. They're Mormon.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 2: No drinking, no coffee.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Yep.
- 6:09Speaker 2: All of it. So the big scoop was, the big scandal,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and I spoke about it here too, because when I
- 6:17Speaker 2: saw all this news, I was like, oh, this girl
- 6:19Speaker 2: does look familiar. These videos have come through my feed.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And that was when your co-star, also part of the
- 6:26Speaker 2: mom talk you talked about, Taylor, she chose to go
- 6:30Speaker 2: on and just say, oh, by the way, I'm getting
- 6:32Speaker 2: a divorce because my husband and I are soft swingers.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And within our friend group, we would swing in the
- 6:39Speaker 2: sense of make out and do stuff with people. Don't
- 6:42Speaker 2: go all the way as long as the partner was
- 6:44Speaker 2: in the room. So it almost felt like a spin
- 6:48Speaker 2: the bottle thing. but more.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Yes.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yes. And so as I started to watch this a
- 6:54Speaker 2: little bit, And they kind of explained that at the
- 6:57Speaker 2: first couple episodes. I was like, okay, whose husband did
- 7:01Speaker 2: she get with? And not until I understood later, no,
- 7:06Speaker 2: whoever she swung with is not any part, is nobody's
- 7:11Speaker 2: husband that we're currently seeing on the show, correct?
- 7:13Speaker 3: Well, I mean, you know more than me because you
- 7:15Speaker 3: were actually like invited to.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I was at the parties.
- 7:19Speaker 5: And if this is coming out tomorrow, I feel like
- 7:22Speaker 5: we should leave a lot of this like, I don't
- 7:26Speaker 5: want to spoil anything.
- 7:28Speaker 2: But some gets revealed.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It all gets revealed.
- 7:32Speaker 2: People will know.
- 7:34Speaker 5: In two days who was involved and who wasn't.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So when you were there, when you got invited to
- 7:40Speaker 2: the parties... Did you realize that this was, was there
- 7:46Speaker 2: a pineapple on the door? Was there a Luffy on
- 7:48Speaker 2: the golf cart? Like, was there any sign?
- 7:50Speaker 4: She was like, it was a flamingo?
- 7:52Speaker 5: No, I walked by Taylor a few times in the
- 7:54Speaker 5: grocery store, and I saw that upside-down pineapple in her cart.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Shut up. No, I swear to you.
- 8:00Speaker 3: No, you did not.
- 8:00Speaker 4: I'm kidding. No, I'm kidding.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You liar.
- 8:03Speaker 4: I was like, hi, Taylor. She's like, you don't have
- 8:05Speaker 4: to do that.
- 8:06Speaker 2: By the way, you just have to have the pineapple
- 8:08Speaker 2: in your cart. In the part where you'd keep a toddler.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Oh, so it doesn't have to be upside down.
- 8:12Speaker 2: No, you do it upside down if you take it
- 8:16Speaker 2: up the butt. No, I'm making up that part, too.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I'm like, no, no, no.
- 8:20Speaker 2: The upside down part I don't think is anything. But
- 8:24Speaker 2: that's why I heard that years ago from someone in Atlanta.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Then now people think it's, you know, kind of funny,
- 8:31Speaker 2: but pineapples are everywhere too, like clothing and stuff.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But then it became the loofah thing in the Florida
- 8:37Speaker 2: places where different loofahs meant different things that you were
- 8:42Speaker 2: into of how far you would go, different colored loofahs.
- 8:45Speaker 2: And they put those on the golf carts. They put those.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Stop it.
- 8:49Speaker 2: And on cruise ships. They put things outside of their
- 8:54Speaker 2: cruise ship doors to be like, hey, if you're interested,
- 8:56Speaker 2: we are too. Yes.
- 8:59Speaker 4: That is bizarre. So it's a whole thing.
- 9:01Speaker 2: It's a whole thing. But I think what you made
- 9:04Speaker 2: this interesting is, you know, the other documentaries that we've
- 9:10Speaker 2: seen throughout time on swingers, they're not attractive and young. Oh,
- 9:16Speaker 2: there it's a hit or miss. Oh, and so I
- 9:21Speaker 2: think I like to think that. I don't know, there
- 9:25Speaker 2: was something sort of I think some people are trying
- 9:27Speaker 2: to almost find it appealing, provided families don't break up
- 9:31Speaker 2: because you guys all, you know, because you're Mormon, there
- 9:34Speaker 2: is this. Influx of marrying younger than the average American.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Right.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And then you're also attractive. And so it's like and
- 9:41Speaker 2: you're all like fun and young. And God, if you
- 9:44Speaker 2: could make out with other people and make the party
- 9:46Speaker 2: a little more fun since you're not like doing anything
- 9:50Speaker 2: drug wise crazy. Could that be sort of appealing? Like
- 9:53Speaker 2: how long did it go before it blew up with
- 9:56Speaker 2: the people? Do you know?
- 9:58Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it didn't go well.
- 10:00Speaker 5: And it didn't last very long I don't I personally
- 10:03Speaker 5: stand behind the fact that like that is just a
- 10:06Speaker 5: means to an end like.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I agree I don't know anyone.
- 10:10Speaker 5: And maybe I don't know enough people that participate it
- 10:13Speaker 5: sounds like there's quite a few people that do I
- 10:15Speaker 5: think the.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Only time it really does work sadly is with Kind
- 10:19Speaker 2: of older people that are maybe even on their second
- 10:23Speaker 2: marriage and they're like, hey, we're both really sexual. We're
- 10:27Speaker 2: going to be part of these groups. We have the rules.
- 10:30Speaker 2: And even then it doesn't always work out. The one
- 10:34Speaker 2: couple I knew and it was like a friend of
- 10:36Speaker 2: was the rules broke. The two people got together. When
- 10:41Speaker 2: it wasn't a foursome, come over for steaks and jacuzzi. And,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know, and then they started to do their own thing.
- 10:48Speaker 2: That's usually what happens is that it's very hard to
- 10:52Speaker 2: find exactly two people, four people. You really need four
- 10:56Speaker 2: people exactly on the same page.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Nobody likes each other more than the other. Yeah. So
- 11:01Speaker 2: I think that's why the swingers that last, it is.
- 11:05Speaker 2: go on a vacation and never see the people again.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Go to this party and never see the people again.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Not you're going through drive-thru and you're like, hey, go
- 11:14Speaker 2: have your casserole dish. I don't really like your husband's
- 11:17Speaker 2: dick last night.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Like, I don't think.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Do you even pick up lines?
- 11:20Speaker 2: Like, I don't think.
- 11:22Speaker 4: That is ever going to last. Yes, no.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And I think the, you know, being naive and young
- 11:28Speaker 2: with your castmates and whoever those friends were, I think
- 11:32Speaker 2: they thought that they could do that.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Well, and I think it also is coming from just
- 11:36Speaker 3: boredom and being, like, a combination of being married super
- 11:39Speaker 3: young and then boredom.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Right?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Because, like.
- 11:42Speaker 3: After being married for what, five to seven years, you
- 11:45Speaker 3: get to that stage where you're like, okay, yes, you're like, okay, like,
- 11:48Speaker 3: how do we keep this interesting? And like, you know,
- 11:50Speaker 3: some people, you know, you know, somehow. amp up their
- 11:55Speaker 3: sex life others start swinging in Taylor's case and so.
- 11:59Speaker 5: Yeah no I definitely yeah especially in the Mormon culture
- 12:03Speaker 5: getting married so young not sure who you are before
- 12:06Speaker 5: you get married your brain's not even fully developed most
- 12:08Speaker 5: of the time when you're making the most important decision
- 12:11Speaker 5: of your life you're throwing kids into the mix you're
- 12:13Speaker 5: becoming a mom and all of a sudden you like
- 12:15Speaker 5: look at your life and you're like wait like I
- 12:18Speaker 5: had an idea of how my life was supposed to
- 12:19Speaker 5: be and like it all happened so fast. And so
- 12:23Speaker 5: you just find yourself in that limbo and in those,
- 12:26Speaker 5: but I will say a lot of it was brought
- 12:27Speaker 5: on by the husband.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yes, that's true.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Okay. So both of you were raised in the church.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Correct.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Both of your parents are still in it. Yes. And
- 12:36Speaker 2: so did you, what was your relationship with watching reality
- 12:40Speaker 2: TV grow up? Were you growing up? Were you fans
- 12:42Speaker 2: of reality TV? Did you watch housewives? Yes.
- 12:45Speaker 3: My mom is obsessed, like obsessed with keeping up with
- 12:48Speaker 3: the Kardashians. In fact, when I told her, like all
- 12:51Speaker 3: of this was happening with the show, she was like,
- 12:52Speaker 3: you're going to be a Kardashian.
- 12:54Speaker 4: She's Hispanic.
- 12:55Speaker 3: She's like, Kardashian, you're going to be Kardashian.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So she wasn't worried.
- 12:59Speaker 4: She manifested it.
- 13:00Speaker 2: She wasn't worried about it at all.
- 13:02Speaker 4: No, she's all about this. My mom's an actual pioneer.
- 13:05Speaker 3: She's a pioneer. Yeah, she's a pioneer.
- 13:07Speaker 4: No, she is.
- 13:08Speaker 2: What does a pioneer mean?
- 13:09Speaker 4: I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 13:15Speaker 5: And I'm not kidding. Like, you think I'm joking? It
- 13:17Speaker 5: was The Carpenters and Little House on the Prairie.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 13:20Speaker 5: No.
- 13:20Speaker 4: You're kidding.
- 13:21Speaker 2: The Carpenters as singers, you mean? Oh, yeah. Like, one,
- 13:24Speaker 2: two birds suddenly appear.
- 13:28Speaker 4: You know?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Every time you are near. Well, you know what happened
- 13:34Speaker 2: to her.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I know. God bless.
- 13:37Speaker 3: R.I.P.
- 13:37Speaker 4: But she's amazing.
- 13:39Speaker 2: She's amazing.
- 13:40Speaker 5: And I love that I grew up on the classics. Like,
- 13:43Speaker 5: I will say I had a very... Bubble-wrapped, safe childhood.
- 13:48Speaker 5: My mom was like, close your eyes. We'd go to
- 13:50Speaker 5: the strip in Vegas, and she'd be like, everyone look forward.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Don't look down. Don't look up.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Why are you going to the strip in Vegas?
- 13:56Speaker 4: Because my dad wasn't a member of the church, and
- 13:58Speaker 4: he liked to gamble. Really?
- 14:01Speaker 2: I did not know that. How many kids are in
- 14:06Speaker 2: your family?
- 14:07Speaker 4: Four in total.
- 14:08Speaker 2: What number are you?
- 14:09Speaker 4: I'm two.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Was that So was that hard for your mother to
- 14:14Speaker 2: marry a non-Mormon?
- 14:16Speaker 4: Absolutely. They got pregnant, actually, out of wedlock.
- 14:19Speaker 5: And so, and they came from, like, my mom came from, like,
- 14:23Speaker 5: a very strong Greek Orthodox family who converted to Mormonism. Oh.
- 14:28Speaker 4: And Greeks are just intense.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:31Speaker 4: As I'm sure you've seen so far. But we're just intense.
- 14:34Speaker 4: We're passionate.
- 14:35Speaker 5: We, you know, feel things very deep. And so it was, like,
- 14:38Speaker 5: from Greek Orthodox to... Mormonism, we're all in. And so
- 14:41Speaker 5: she got married or she got pregnant out of wedlock.
- 14:44Speaker 5: And her mom was like, you get married immediately.
- 14:47Speaker 4: And so it was just one of those things.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Where it's like. Are your parents still together today?
- 14:50Speaker 4: They are. Yeah. It's been rocky, but still together. I
- 14:54Speaker 4: appreciate you saying that. Yeah, it was a rocky, rocky road.
- 14:58Speaker 5: I mean, as you can imagine, just the being so
- 15:02Speaker 5: in the church and then not at all. If you
- 15:04Speaker 5: don't have like a even a similarity in like what
- 15:08Speaker 5: you believe.
- 15:08Speaker 2: You mean with her husband? And he's never come around.
- 15:12Speaker 4: No, he got baptized when I was 16.
- 15:14Speaker 2: So now he is Mormon.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yes.
- 15:15Speaker 5: But majority of my childhood, it was like, what is
- 15:18Speaker 5: going on? Like, it was such a stark contrast.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And did your dad enjoy drinking or no? Yes.
- 15:24Speaker 4: So he drank and smoked and did all the things.
- 15:27Speaker 5: And it was just the type of thing where he
- 15:29Speaker 5: would hide it from my mom or hide it from us.
- 15:32Speaker 4: It was just toxic. You know, it was there was
- 15:34Speaker 4: no gray. My mom was like, this is right. This
- 15:38Speaker 4: is wrong.
- 15:39Speaker 5: And so in my mind, it was always like my
- 15:41Speaker 5: dad's bad, my mom's good. And that's never healthy for
- 15:44Speaker 5: a kid to like grow up thinking.
- 15:46Speaker 4: That about their parents, you know.
- 15:47Speaker 5: So it definitely created some weird weirdness in my mind.
- 15:53Speaker 2: So I grew up Catholic and I remember my mom
- 15:56Speaker 2: being like, oh, they're Mormon down the street. And the
- 15:58Speaker 2: girl did get pregnant. And I remember her sitting on
- 16:02Speaker 2: the lawn pregnant and I felt sort of sorry for her.
- 16:05Speaker 2: And then we never knew, like, I think they maybe
- 16:08Speaker 2: gave the baby up for adoption or whatever. And so
- 16:11Speaker 2: I never really understood what the difference was between Catholic, Christian, Protestant, Mormon.
- 16:17Speaker 2: And then when I was in a mom's group, I
- 16:19Speaker 2: met this girl who was raised Catholic who married this
- 16:22Speaker 2: Mormon guy. And he actually was a director of all
- 16:25Speaker 2: these TV shows. And I went to her house and
- 16:27Speaker 2: she was like, oh, would you want this bottle of champagne?
- 16:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And I go, oh, yeah, she she you know, they're Mormon.
- 16:35Speaker 2: They don't drink. And I'm like, gosh, I go, who
- 16:36Speaker 2: would give you that? You know, and she's like, oh,
- 16:39Speaker 2: every time my husband gets a job, his agent, his
- 16:41Speaker 2: Hollywood agent gives him a bottle of champagne. I'm like,
- 16:44Speaker 2: doesn't he know that he's Mormon? And she's like, no.
- 16:46Speaker 2: And please don't tell anybody. Because we could be like
- 16:50Speaker 2: blackballed from Hollywood, from working.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Oh, I believe it.
- 16:53Speaker 2: So he had to act like, you know, whatever, like
- 16:56Speaker 2: he wasn't. And that's when I was like, wait, is
- 17:00Speaker 2: that really true that people can't be who they are
- 17:04Speaker 2: in Hollywood? And it is true to an extent, for sure.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Or just keep your mouth shut or just don't share
- 17:10Speaker 2: your actual feelings. And so I was like, oh. And
- 17:13Speaker 2: so I kept asking her, I'm like, what is the difference?
- 17:17Speaker 2: And So in the most simple way that I understand it,
- 17:21Speaker 2: and tell me if I'm wrong, and then we'll move
- 17:23Speaker 2: on to the juicy stuff, because I think so many
- 17:26Speaker 2: people don't really understand. We all hear about the garments
- 17:30Speaker 2: and the being strict and you believe in Jesus. But
- 17:32Speaker 2: is it that you believe that Jesus? What is the
- 17:36Speaker 2: difference that you believe that Jesus was not not in Jerusalem,
- 17:41Speaker 2: but in Utah or just a prophet from Utah? got
- 17:45Speaker 2: sent these messages and created a religion from Jesus. Which
- 17:49Speaker 2: is it?
- 17:49Speaker 5: Yeah, we believe in the Jesus that you believe in.
- 17:53Speaker 5: We are the Bible meets the Book of Mormon.
- 17:57Speaker 4: We call it the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 17:59Speaker 5: So it fell off and then it came back through
- 18:02Speaker 5: Joseph Smith and was restored through Joseph Smith.
- 18:05Speaker 4: The prophet. So it's the same Jesus, the same God
- 18:08Speaker 4: that you're taught about in Catholic.
- 18:10Speaker 3: And people think that we're... We're trying to make the
- 18:14Speaker 3: Book of Mormon, like, replace the Bible. That's not the
- 18:17Speaker 3: case at all. It's just another testament of Jesus Christ.
- 18:19Speaker 2: So we love the Bible. And, yeah. Okay, good. Like,
- 18:23Speaker 2: I think that's, you know. And then we know that
- 18:27Speaker 2: for many years polygamy has not been part of the church.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But it was 200 years ago it was. Kind of.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Or for some people.
- 18:37Speaker 5: Yeah, for a short period of time during the time
- 18:39Speaker 5: of restoring.
- 18:40Speaker 4: The gospel and bringing people back.
- 18:42Speaker 3: From my understanding is it was with the intention of
- 18:46Speaker 3: trying to convert as many people as possible. And I mean,
- 18:52Speaker 3: I don't know too much about like the details of
- 18:54Speaker 3: like the history and whatnot. But yeah, I mean, we
- 18:57Speaker 3: believe that more women are probably going to go to
- 19:00Speaker 3: heaven than men just because there are more women. And so, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 3: it was the intention with trying to convert as many people.
- 19:06Speaker 3: And because like we value the temple so much and
- 19:11Speaker 3: going through the temple, It was the intention of trying
- 19:13Speaker 3: to get as many women as we could to get
- 19:17Speaker 3: through the temple.

- 21:58Speaker 2: it seems like there's a big question of, oh, my gosh,
- 22:01Speaker 2: you know, how angry the church must be that you
- 22:04Speaker 2: guys are giggling and having fun, you know, whatever.
- 22:08Speaker 4: Letting loose.
- 22:09Speaker 2: And I believe, whether they've told you this or not,
- 22:12Speaker 2: but I think the Mormon church loves this. I think
- 22:16Speaker 2: they love it. I don't even think they're mad about
- 22:19Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City either because if the
- 22:23Speaker 2: whole thing is to let people know about the word
- 22:26Speaker 2: and the youth goes off for two years, how better
- 22:31Speaker 2: to get the word out than through influencers and reality
- 22:34Speaker 2: TV and showing fun, happy people that are still taking
- 22:39Speaker 2: the elements from the church to live the best of
- 22:43Speaker 2: their life.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Oh, for sure. I can't tell you how many people
- 22:46Speaker 3: who have gotten baptized after watching the Book of Mormon
- 22:50Speaker 3: story play. Like, I know countless of people and they
- 22:54Speaker 3: just converted because, or just out of curiosity. They're like, okay, wait,
- 22:59Speaker 3: what is this religion all about?
- 23:00Speaker 4: This is crazy.
- 23:02Speaker 3: And ended up reading the Book of Mormon and then
- 23:04Speaker 3: got baptized. So, yeah, I'm also seeing this as an
- 23:07Speaker 3: opportunity to, like, share more about our faith and also, like,
- 23:11Speaker 3: I hope Everyone can see our friend group and anyone
- 23:14Speaker 3: who doesn't feel like they would be welcome. They can
- 23:16Speaker 3: see our friend group and think, oh.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Wait, oh, wait, they're crazy, too. Wait, I guess I
- 23:21Speaker 4: can be crazy. Just like me. No, like literally.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Like they're really they're out here trying to figure out
- 23:27Speaker 5: their way. They're out here trying to figure out. their path,
- 23:29Speaker 5: and they're stumbling and falling just like me. We're not
- 23:32Speaker 5: these butter churning, bonnet wearing.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Speaking of butter churning and influencers, how do you guys
- 23:37Speaker 2: feel about Ballerina Farms, who I've talked about.
- 23:40Speaker 4: On the show?
- 23:40Speaker 3: I'm obsessed with her.
- 23:41Speaker 4: She's awesome.
- 23:42Speaker 2: So just to remind you guys, this is the girl
- 23:44Speaker 2: that was a ballerina, fell in love with her husband.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The husband comes from a lot of money. The dad
- 23:49Speaker 2: owns JetBlue. But now they have a farm and a
- 23:52Speaker 2: very successful business together where they make food and food
- 23:56Speaker 2: that you can buy. And she's got nine million followers.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And there was a big backlash about her because she
- 24:03Speaker 2: did an interview and the author of the interview, the journalist,
- 24:07Speaker 2: people believe that she wrote it to be that this
- 24:10Speaker 2: woman was trapped.
- 24:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 2: And then she came forward and said, no, I'm not,
- 24:15Speaker 2: you know, trapped. So I do feel like her videos
- 24:19Speaker 2: are very much like Little House on the Prairie, making
- 24:21Speaker 2: the things from scratch.
- 24:24Speaker 4: There's beauty in that. Oh, yes. Listen, I'm here for it.
- 24:27Speaker 5: And I think people will be so quick to find
- 24:30Speaker 5: the negative or find the hole that they can just
- 24:33Speaker 5: be like, well, I feel that way in some way.
- 24:35Speaker 5: So they must feel that way, too. And at the
- 24:37Speaker 5: end of the day, like there's seasons of life. And
- 24:40Speaker 5: maybe this is her season of life. And then she
- 24:42Speaker 5: goes and finds something for herself that she loves even
- 24:44Speaker 5: more than this. Or maybe this is her thing that
- 24:46Speaker 5: she loves for herself.
- 24:47Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't think it's fair to say
- 24:52Speaker 4: that she's trapped. There's a lot of people.
- 24:55Speaker 5: That enjoy being a mother, that enjoy being a homemaker
- 24:59Speaker 5: and a wife.
- 25:00Speaker 4: That's okay.
- 25:01Speaker 5: And I hope that we showcase that in our show
- 25:03Speaker 5: as well because- we got a couple homesteaders. We got
- 25:06Speaker 5: people who are just like, I'm headed into that era myself.
- 25:09Speaker 5: I'm like, I've done this for 10 years. My goal
- 25:11Speaker 5: is to take opportunities that I can turn into passion
- 25:14Speaker 5: projects such as yourself and have that be something that
- 25:17Speaker 5: I always do to have that creative outlet, but also
- 25:20Speaker 5: to be able to focus on my family.
- 25:22Speaker 4: I would love to homestead.
- 25:23Speaker 5: I would love to have things that I create myself
- 25:26Speaker 5: at home and be a mom and a wife at home.
- 25:29Speaker 4: And so I think it's okay to want that.
- 25:31Speaker 5: And I think it's okay to have that season of
- 25:34Speaker 5: life as well. And then be like, Hey, now I
- 25:36Speaker 5: want to be a boss bitch. And like, just focus
- 25:39Speaker 5: on that. Like Jesse in our group, you know?
- 25:40Speaker 2: So you, Jesse's the one who has the hair business.
- 25:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:45Speaker 5: And you can't have it all, all the time, but
- 25:47Speaker 5: that's why I like to say the seasons of life,
- 25:49Speaker 5: like you ebbs and flows and you move through it.
- 25:51Speaker 2: And I want to say as a woman, you, you
- 25:53Speaker 2: could have it most. Yeah. No one can have it all.
- 25:55Speaker 4: No one can have it all. Yes.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Agreed.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yes.
- 25:59Speaker 2: So, So you are married to an Affleck.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 26:04Speaker 2: So explain how he is related to Ben Affleck, your husband.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:09Speaker 3: So he is my father-in-law's second cousin. So my husband's
- 26:17Speaker 3: dad's second cousin.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:20Speaker 3: And, I mean, I haven't met him. ben affleck specifically
- 26:25Speaker 3: zach hasn't met him um but his dad has and
- 26:28Speaker 3: it like was a long time ago at like a family.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Reunion so then somewhere somewhere down the line from these
- 26:35Speaker 2: grandparents that were siblings were really one became mormon because
- 26:39Speaker 2: ben's ben was not raised mormon he was born in
- 26:42Speaker 2: massachusetts boston.
- 26:43Speaker 3: I actually don't know for sure i don't think he
- 26:47Speaker 3: was but.
- 26:48Speaker 2: You know what I don't know either but I would
- 26:49Speaker 2: guess just yeah Boston is probably you know an Irish
- 26:52Speaker 2: Catholic thing but that's just a stereotype who knows yeah
- 26:56Speaker 2: but I'd.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Love to ask him yeah okay were you raised Mormon
- 26:59Speaker 3: do you.
- 27:00Speaker 4: Know who the Mormons are.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Okay so and then you met your husband where.
- 27:09Speaker 3: I met my husband through mutual okay yeah we come
- 27:12Speaker 3: from completely different families there's no way we would have
- 27:15Speaker 3: ever raised Yes. I was raised Mormon.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Yes. Oh, OK. OK, great. Yes. And I thought it
- 27:20Speaker 2: was really interesting on the episode. You said that your
- 27:23Speaker 2: mom works at the same hospital as his dad, but
- 27:25Speaker 2: his dad's a heart surgeon and your mom is in janitorial.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:31Speaker 3: So she's literally a cleaning lady in the hospital, which
- 27:34Speaker 3: is so crazy.
- 27:35Speaker 4: That was before you met?
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah, for the most part, yeah. But we didn't even really, like,
- 27:41Speaker 3: put two and two together. Wow. Yeah, that's how different
- 27:43Speaker 3: our families are.
- 27:44Speaker 2: But they get along well?
- 27:45Speaker 7: Yes.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I was raised with foster kids and, yeah, I shared
- 27:49Speaker 3: my bedroom with these children my whole life.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Oh, your mom took in foster children. Yes, yes. Oh,
- 27:54Speaker 2: that's lovely.
- 27:55Speaker 3: And Zach, you know, definitely was just– I was raised
- 27:59Speaker 3: poor and he was raised with a lot of money and, yeah.
- 28:03Speaker 3: I mean, it's funny. I feel like I relate to
- 28:05Speaker 3: Ballerina Farm so much because in a way– I mean,
- 28:08Speaker 3: I don't know if she personally came from money, but
- 28:10Speaker 3: being marrying into a wealthy family when you don't come
- 28:14Speaker 3: from a lot of family and having the same religion
- 28:18Speaker 3: can cause like a lot of like issues and expectations.
- 28:22Speaker 3: And but I love seeing just ballerina farm and how
- 28:25Speaker 3: she like handles everything. And because I I feel like
- 28:31Speaker 3: she I don't.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Know, like.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm like going all over the place.
- 28:36Speaker 2: No, I understand what you're saying. Well, I think what's
- 28:38Speaker 2: really interesting is, you know, I think the reason that
- 28:43Speaker 2: Mormons in America, there's so many that are successful and
- 28:47Speaker 2: have successful businesses is because they do make them go
- 28:50Speaker 2: out and be rejected for two years straight.
- 28:53Speaker 4: That's the hardest thing you can do.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I mean, that's being the best salesman in the world
- 28:56Speaker 2: is that you don't let the rejection keep you going.
- 28:58Speaker 2: And I think you get that training there. as trying
- 29:01Speaker 2: to recruit people to the church and how many people
- 29:03Speaker 2: must say no and get away and look at you
- 29:05Speaker 2: like a weirdo. And then, and then you do your
- 29:07Speaker 2: business and you have that same like tough skin. And
- 29:10Speaker 2: then also I think pushing people to get married young. Also, you're,
- 29:15Speaker 2: you're not, And, you know, I'm just bringing it up.
- 29:18Speaker 4: You're not fucking.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Around in Vegas spending your money on bottle service all
- 29:23Speaker 2: throughout your 20s and 30s. You're actually like, okay, let's
- 29:27Speaker 2: work really hard so we can buy this house. Okay, now.
- 29:30Speaker 2: But then you might wake up at 28 and go,
- 29:33Speaker 2: would you like to go swing? Yeah. Because I didn't
- 29:35Speaker 2: get to go to the bottle service in Vegas. So
- 29:37Speaker 2: there's the switch. Yes.
- 29:40Speaker 3: And not only that, I feel like in the Mormon culture,
- 29:44Speaker 3: everyone's all about image and how you look and looking perfect.
- 29:48Speaker 3: And I think that causes comparison and it causes people to,
- 29:53Speaker 3: just like meeting up with the Joneses, it causes people
- 29:56Speaker 3: to want to be better than the other person. And
- 29:59Speaker 3: that's where I think you know, the success, you know, uh,
- 30:04Speaker 3: comes in within like the Mormon culture and why so
- 30:06Speaker 3: many people are successful is just, you know, there's just
- 30:10Speaker 3: so much comparison and so much like, okay, who can
- 30:12Speaker 3: look the best, be the best.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Well, that's also kind of interesting too, because, you know, um, vanity,
- 30:19Speaker 2: it's oftentimes that's one of the seven sins, right? Yes.
- 30:23Speaker 2: But I guess it's okay to look as pretty as
- 30:26Speaker 2: you want. You can go to the beauty lab, Heather.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Gay's Beauty Lab, and it was one of the scenes
- 30:32Speaker 2: as you guys are getting Botox, which I never got
- 30:35Speaker 2: in my 20s, but go for it. Prevent that shit.
- 30:40Speaker 2: And I've never heard, I mean, I just got it
- 30:42Speaker 2: the other day at Dr. Nassif's office, and I didn't
- 30:46Speaker 2: have any, I didn't even have numbing cream. But you
- 30:50Speaker 2: guys are doing laughing gas. And that is something that
- 30:53Speaker 2: they only do. In Utah. I've never heard of someone
- 30:59Speaker 2: eating laughing gas for a Botox shot.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I've never heard of that, actually. I've never had
- 31:04Speaker 4: that done, but that's next level. You've done that?
- 31:06Speaker 3: Yes.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. It's amazing.
- 31:08Speaker 3: It's a game changer. You don't feel a thing.
- 31:11Speaker 2: And then you get a little high, a little fun high.
- 31:12Speaker 5: Yes, it's great. I'm like, we're having a good time
- 31:14Speaker 5: with my girlfriends.
- 31:15Speaker 4: We're laughing, getting Botox. It's great.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Because some of you drink and some of you don't. Yes.
- 31:19Speaker 3: There's only one person.
- 31:20Speaker 2: You don't drink, right?
- 31:21Speaker 4: No, I don't drink.
- 31:22Speaker 2: And do you?
- 31:22Speaker 6: I don't.
- 31:22Speaker 4: I used to.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I don't.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Oh, you used to.
- 31:24Speaker 5: I did for a short stint post-divorce.
- 31:26Speaker 4: It was a dark time. So you got married before.
- 31:29Speaker 2: This current husband. And this current husband is a bit
- 31:33Speaker 2: older than you.
- 31:33Speaker 4: He is, yeah. 16 years older.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Okay. And so what was your first marriage about?
- 31:38Speaker 4: We, so I had an age gap in my first
- 31:40Speaker 4: marriage as well.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 31:42Speaker 4: 12 years. And I was 18 when I met him.
- 31:45Speaker 4: He was 29. Is that the right math? Yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 5: We got married at 20 and 31. So just a
- 31:52Speaker 5: similar story in the Mormon culture where you just.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I'm 20 years old getting married. I'm older. I'm married
- 31:57Speaker 4: to an older guy who has lived life, gone through college.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Was he Mormon too?
- 32:00Speaker 5: Yes.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 32:01Speaker 4: And he still is very straight.
- 32:02Speaker 2: And did you have any kids with him? Yes.
- 32:04Speaker 4: So that's my daughter.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Oh, that's your one biological child, and then you have two-step,
- 32:08Speaker 2: because then how did you find your husband that we
- 32:11Speaker 2: see on the show?
- 32:12Speaker 4: So I've known of him through family friends. We have
- 32:15Speaker 4: kind of a wild story.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Well, let's hear it.
- 32:17Speaker 4: It's called Juicy Scoop for a reason.
- 32:21Speaker 5: We joke around and say, I've known him since I
- 32:23Speaker 5: was 10, and he was 26, and he was married with,
- 32:27Speaker 5: I think, one kid at the time.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Such a wild thing.
- 32:29Speaker 5: But the crazy thing is we never really crossed paths.
- 32:32Speaker 5: We never met each other.
- 32:33Speaker 2: But you knew him because of the church?
- 32:35Speaker 5: No. So his family has a wild story. So his
- 32:39Speaker 5: sister was married to Larry King. His dad managed Marie
- 32:42Speaker 5: Osmond for 35 years.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 32:45Speaker 5: And they were just in the entertainment industry. And so
- 32:47Speaker 5: everyone kind of knew the Engelmans and knew the Kings.
- 32:50Speaker 5: And my best friend's dad was good friends with the Engelmans.
- 32:54Speaker 5: And so I grew up like knowing of him. He
- 32:56Speaker 5: was the star quarterback at BYU, the Mormon school in Provo.
- 33:02Speaker 5: And so I just had always heard of him and
- 33:03Speaker 5: I was like, he's so hot. Like I was just
- 33:05Speaker 5: had like this little girl crush on him.
- 33:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 33:07Speaker 4: I was like, I don't know. I've always liked older men.
- 33:10Speaker 3: She's always been into the daddies.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 5: Um, so he gets married, has kids. I'm growing up
- 33:19Speaker 5: and he gets divorced, um, gets remarried. And I had
- 33:23Speaker 5: known of his second wife and we both were kind
- 33:25Speaker 5: of like, Ooh, are we sure?
- 33:27Speaker 4: Whatever. It didn't last long. He was married for like
- 33:29Speaker 4: five months, ended up playing out the way that we
- 33:30Speaker 4: all thought. gets divorced.
- 33:32Speaker 5: So my husband and I, my ex-husband at the time,
- 33:35Speaker 5: or my husband, my ex-husband, we run into Brett at the.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Gym and we're like, what is going on? Like, why? Like,
- 33:42Speaker 4: what is your luck? Like, you need to go on
- 33:44Speaker 4: The Bachelor or something. And he was like, never. I
- 33:47Speaker 4: never would. And we're like, no, we're literally nominating you.
- 33:49Speaker 4: You're going. You are perfect. You're such a catch. Like,
- 33:52Speaker 4: you need to go. He was like, don't you dare.
- 33:53Speaker 2: And you're saying this with your current first husband.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Yes.
- 33:57Speaker 2: To this one that then became your second husband.
- 33:59Speaker 3: Yes.
- 34:00Speaker 2: All while you're doing, were you doing squats while you
- 34:02Speaker 2: were having this conversation?
- 34:03Speaker 4: Yes, no hip thrusts.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Hip thrusts, I knew it.
- 34:06Speaker 4: And were you.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Thinking anything like, I still have a crush on this
- 34:10Speaker 2: guy and I'm not really happy with my current husband
- 34:12Speaker 2: or everything was peachy at this moment?
- 34:14Speaker 5: I always thought Brett was cute, but I was super like,
- 34:19Speaker 5: I think I was pretty freshly married to my husband
- 34:21Speaker 5: and we were navigating all of those waters. So it
- 34:23Speaker 5: was more just like, oh my gosh, I've had a
- 34:25Speaker 5: crush on you like most of my life.
- 34:26Speaker 4: This is crazy, you know? And crazy that I haven't
- 34:29Speaker 4: run into you more.
- 34:30Speaker 5: And my ex-husband was working on like a business deal
- 34:34Speaker 5: with Brett. And they were like trying to make connections
- 34:36Speaker 5: in business. And then he also had connections in the
- 34:39Speaker 5: modeling world, was trying to get my daughter to do
- 34:41Speaker 5: like modeling gigs, whatever.
- 34:43Speaker 4: So they had been in contact. So ran into him,
- 34:45Speaker 4: we're like.
- 34:45Speaker 5: We're nominating you. He was like, don't you dare. Like,
- 34:47Speaker 5: I'll kill you guys. I could never do it.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Not for me. We go home.
- 34:51Speaker 5: We nominate him. They call him the next day and
- 34:54Speaker 5: they're like, get out here.
- 34:55Speaker 4: It was Claire's season.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 34:57Speaker 4: So they call him out.
- 34:58Speaker 5: He does all the B-roll, all the interviews, everything geared up,
- 35:02Speaker 5: ready to go.
- 35:02Speaker 4: And I had had a few friends that had been
- 35:04Speaker 4: on Bachelor. So I knew how it worked.
- 35:05Speaker 5: I saw that they had to take their Instagram pages down.
- 35:07Speaker 5: And I'd followed Brett since I was like 18 years old.
- 35:09Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, my gosh, he's there. Like
- 35:11Speaker 5: his page is down.
- 35:12Speaker 4: He's there.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 35:13Speaker 4: So two months goes by. I'm like, I can't wait
- 35:16Speaker 4: to see this. Like we made this happen. This is insane.
- 35:19Speaker 5: And then one day I see him posting that he
- 35:21Speaker 5: hit like something football related to his sons.
- 35:24Speaker 4: And I'm like, what is going on? Like, why is
- 35:26Speaker 4: he posting? Like they haven't even filmed yet. So I
- 35:28Speaker 4: messaged him like, what is going on? Like, why? Why?
- 35:31Speaker 4: How do you have your account up? And he responds.
- 35:33Speaker 4: He's like, they sent everyone home because of COVID. The
- 35:36Speaker 4: day before he met COVID time.
- 35:40Speaker 5: So they sent everyone home the night before he met Claire.
- 35:46Speaker 5: And they came home. Meanwhile, I'm going through it with
- 35:49Speaker 5: my husband. We're like, are we figuring this out?
- 35:51Speaker 4: Are we not? Therapy, back and forth, back and forth. Finally,
- 35:54Speaker 4: I'm like, I can't do it anymore. So we separate.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Brett comes home.
- 35:59Speaker 5: And like a few weeks later, we connect, hit it off.
- 36:02Speaker 2: How did you connect? He gave you back.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:05Speaker 5: So he actually mentioned he was like, oh, by the way,
- 36:07Speaker 5: I heard back on something related to my ex.
- 36:09Speaker 4: He was like, Let him know. I'll call him. And
- 36:10Speaker 4: I was like, funny story. We're actually separated. And he
- 36:12Speaker 4: was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Like, I'm sure he was so sorry.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I'm so sorry. Let me come over and we can
- 36:18Speaker 4: tell you. Yeah, no, he was definitely like worse.
- 36:25Speaker 2: It's fall. So it's a perfect time for a reset.
- 36:27Speaker 2: And that could be your hair. I want to tell

- 40:09Speaker 5: He was respectful and sweet, but he was very much
- 40:11Speaker 5: so like, I've been through this twice.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I know how it goes. This sucks.
- 40:15Speaker 5: If you need anyone to talk about it, I'm here.
- 40:19Speaker 4: I'm like, yes, you are, baby.
- 40:21Speaker 2: How does the father of your child and your new
- 40:26Speaker 2: husband get along now?
- 40:28Speaker 4: Best friends.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Oh, they're okay.
- 40:29Speaker 4: They're okay.
- 40:30Speaker 5: There was a little bit of weirdness in the beginning,
- 40:32Speaker 5: for sure, of just adjusting, but my ex-husband's so mature
- 40:35Speaker 5: and just gets life, and he's like.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Life's complicated.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Does he have a new woman?
- 40:39Speaker 4: He does.
- 40:40Speaker 5: They just got sealed in the Newport Beach Temple like
- 40:43Speaker 5: three days ago. No way.
- 40:44Speaker 2: So here's my question about divorce.
- 40:46Speaker 3: That's where I got sealed.
- 40:47Speaker 4: No way.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Okay, so here's my question about divorce. Okay. In the
- 40:50Speaker 2: Mormon church. I know how it works in the Catholic church.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You have to get, what is the name of it? Annulled. Okay.
- 40:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Which is very hard to prove. It's almost like you
- 41:01Speaker 2: got to get your own Catholic lawyer. And then like
- 41:03Speaker 2: anything else, sometimes people throughout history that had more power
- 41:06Speaker 2: and money could get annulled, you have to prove that
- 41:10Speaker 2: there was some type of deception or cheating or it
- 41:13Speaker 2: can't just.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Be like we- Because you want to.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Like we're domestically, we don't get along. He fucking snores
- 41:19Speaker 2: and I hate his guts. It can't be that. It
- 41:20Speaker 2: has to be something more. And and that's only because
- 41:24Speaker 2: you might want to get married again in the church. Otherwise,
- 41:27Speaker 2: you can get divorced, get married. You can still go
- 41:29Speaker 2: to church. You can still, you know, whatever. So what
- 41:31Speaker 2: is the rule? How is it that you get unsealed
- 41:34Speaker 2: and then get resealed with somebody else in the Mormon church?
- 41:37Speaker 4: It's kind of a process. So I actually and it's.
- 41:41Speaker 5: And it's complicated because the men can technically be sealed
- 41:44Speaker 5: to multiple women. But women, if you want to, like
- 41:48Speaker 5: if I wanted to get sealed to Brett, I'd have
- 41:50Speaker 5: to break my seal and I'd.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Have to like go get that broken.
- 41:54Speaker 5: My ex-husband and his wife were already trying to get married.
- 41:58Speaker 5: Like they got married civilly first and then they just
- 42:00Speaker 5: got sealed a year later in the Newport Beach Temple.
- 42:04Speaker 5: And so they went through that process and got that
- 42:08Speaker 5: seal broken. So now at this point, like I can
- 42:10Speaker 5: get married to Brett. in the temple, no problem.
- 42:14Speaker 2: But if you didn't do it, do you have any
- 42:17Speaker 2: feeling of like, oh my God, if we both died
- 42:20Speaker 2: in a car crash tomorrow, I wouldn't be in heaven
- 42:24Speaker 2: with my current husband? I mean, do you feel you
- 42:27Speaker 2: don't believe that, right?
- 42:28Speaker 4: No, I just like have a firm belief that everything
- 42:31Speaker 4: works out. Like, I think we're doing the best we can.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 4: I think we're all a bunch of.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Little kids trying to figure it out. So if you
- 42:36Speaker 2: want to go through that process, you will. Yeah. When
- 42:39Speaker 2: you feel like you have the time or whatever.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Yeah, we're working towards it for sure.
- 42:42Speaker 5: We've definitely been like up and down with the church
- 42:45Speaker 5: with like, you know, following all the guidelines and figuring
- 42:49Speaker 5: out our place in that. And so I went through
- 42:52Speaker 5: the temple when I was 20 years old and made
- 42:54Speaker 5: a major commitment that I would wear my garments and
- 42:57Speaker 5: that I would do specific things and go to the
- 42:59Speaker 5: temple regularly and I wasn't ready to make that decision.
- 43:02Speaker 4: And I think that's a lot of people.
- 43:03Speaker 5: You go out as a 19 year old kid on
- 43:05Speaker 5: a mission and you commit to do all these things.
- 43:07Speaker 5: And it's like, wait, I didn't really know what I
- 43:09Speaker 5: was committing to. And I think it all works out
- 43:12Speaker 5: in the end, like either way. But for us, like, yeah,
- 43:14Speaker 5: we are working towards going to the temple.
- 43:16Speaker 4: And being sealed.
- 43:17Speaker 5: But I don't worry necessarily that like if we were
- 43:19Speaker 5: to die, like would I ever see you again?
- 43:21Speaker 4: I think we all end up in the same place anyway.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Like I think majority of us have incredible intentions and
- 43:27Speaker 5: are doing our best and like we'll ultimately end up
- 43:30Speaker 5: where we want to be.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think a true loving God isn't going
- 43:33Speaker 3: to be like, well, you didn't break your ceiling, and
- 43:34Speaker 3: so you have to be here. No, a loving God is,
- 43:38Speaker 3: you know.
- 43:38Speaker 2: So, I mean, it seems like people in your circle from,
- 43:42Speaker 2: you know, your current husband willing to go on The Bachelor,
- 43:45Speaker 2: that reality TV is something that you guys thought was fun,
- 43:49Speaker 2: you maybe kind of always thought in your head you'd
- 43:51Speaker 2: want to do, Was there any hold back of when
- 43:56Speaker 2: you look at like Housewives and things like that and
- 43:58Speaker 2: how it can really destroy families, so many divorces and stuff?
- 44:01Speaker 2: Was anybody in your world being like, I don't think
- 44:04Speaker 2: you should do this show?
- 44:06Speaker 3: Oh, my husband personally didn't want to do the show.
- 44:09Speaker 3: And I told him like, no, I really want to
- 44:12Speaker 3: do this. Like it hasn't been a dream of mine
- 44:15Speaker 3: to be a reality TV star, but it's always been
- 44:16Speaker 3: a dream of mine to be on camera. And I
- 44:19Speaker 3: do feel like taking this opportunity will lead to other opportunities.
- 44:23Speaker 2: So you always kind of wanted to perform and be
- 44:25Speaker 2: an actor, but you didn't necessarily go get an agent,
- 44:28Speaker 2: do these things.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Which is what is great about reality TV is that
- 44:31Speaker 2: you instantly are a star of a show without having
- 44:34Speaker 2: to take all these steps. But then the other side
- 44:37Speaker 2: of it is you don't just take off your outfit
- 44:40Speaker 2: and leave the trailer and be– your private person at home.
- 44:44Speaker 2: It leads, it's 24-7 really, especially with social media too.
- 44:48Speaker 3: No, and at least for me, I really went into
- 44:50Speaker 3: the show with the intention of wanting to share my
- 44:52Speaker 3: own personal story and my journey, which I truly feel
- 44:55Speaker 3: I can inspire non-members and members. And just, yeah, I
- 45:00Speaker 3: wanted to make it very clear that we're all different
- 45:02Speaker 3: and our relationship with God looks different. And I mean,
- 45:06Speaker 3: everybody's relationship with God looks different. And Yeah. I think
- 45:11Speaker 3: also with my husband going into med school, I didn't
- 45:13Speaker 3: actually feel like we had an option because being the provider,
- 45:16Speaker 3: I saw this as a huge opportunity for me to
- 45:19Speaker 3: be able to make money and help us get through
- 45:21Speaker 3: medical school because I personally want to be able to
- 45:23Speaker 3: provide and tell my kids, no, I paid for our
- 45:26Speaker 3: medical school. I got us through it. It was me.
- 45:28Speaker 3: And I wanted to be that person for personally my
- 45:31Speaker 3: daughter to let her know that you can do anything
- 45:34Speaker 3: you set your mind to and That looks different. Like,
- 45:37Speaker 3: you don't have to go to school. You could be
- 45:39Speaker 3: literally a young mom at home twerking on her countertop,
- 45:42Speaker 3: and that can pay the bills. Like, you can do
- 45:46Speaker 3: anything you set your mind to. But, no, that's really
- 45:50Speaker 3: why I personally wanted to do this show. And also just,
- 45:53Speaker 3: you know, I also wanted to, yeah, represent the church
- 45:57Speaker 3: in the way that, like, we are all different. We're
- 45:59Speaker 3: not all like the cookie-cutter Mormon that you see. Right?
- 46:04Speaker 3: we all like to twerk and we also like to bake.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Yeah. And that there's no cookie cutter.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Like everyone thinks there is this cookie cutter and I'm
- 46:12Speaker 5: excited to break that stigma.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Yes. So, so were there rumblings going around of like,
- 46:19Speaker 2: we'd love to focus on a group of Mormon, Yangmong, TikTokers.
- 46:25Speaker 2: I heard that there was that kind of search among
- 46:28Speaker 2: different production companies, even like what, you know, what could
- 46:30Speaker 2: this be? And then the scandal happened. So then she
- 46:35Speaker 2: does this video. Let's get back to Taylor. She decides
- 46:38Speaker 2: to do this video exposing all of this. And why
- 46:44Speaker 2: did she decide to do that? Was it because she
- 46:47Speaker 2: got sucked into social media commentary that had exposed it
- 46:51Speaker 2: somewhere else?
- 46:53Speaker 5: I think that it had been exposed on Reddit. And
- 46:55Speaker 5: I keep getting the story mixed up, so correct me
- 46:57Speaker 5: if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty certain that someone in
- 46:59Speaker 5: the group had exposed her cheating scandal because she ended
- 47:04Speaker 5: up taking it to the point of having sex with
- 47:06Speaker 5: one of them which that was like crossing their group
- 47:09Speaker 5: boundary okay and that got exposed so then when she
- 47:12Speaker 5: started to look like like they were demonizing her she
- 47:16Speaker 5: came out and was like I wasn't the only.
- 47:18Speaker 2: One involved got it okay got it and what was
- 47:22Speaker 2: that day like when you're just like Is your phone
- 47:25Speaker 2: just like everybody texting each other or what?
- 47:29Speaker 3: At least for me, I wasn't part of mom talk
- 47:30Speaker 3: when that was going down. I was just like a follower,
- 47:33Speaker 3: like an observer. I was part of the group. And
- 47:35Speaker 3: for me, I was just like, oh, my gosh, like
- 47:37Speaker 3: I want to know the tea. Like I was like,
- 47:39Speaker 3: give me the tea.
- 47:40Speaker 4: It was wild.
- 47:42Speaker 2: And were you friendly? So you were friendly with Taylor?
- 47:44Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. I was at the parties.
- 47:46Speaker 5: I was friends with her. I'd gone to multiple mom
- 47:50Speaker 5: talk events. I had my stepsons coming home from school
- 47:54Speaker 5: being like, my teachers and my classmates are asking me, like,
- 47:58Speaker 5: if you guys are swingers, like my younger ones, like,
- 48:00Speaker 5: what's a swinger?
- 48:02Speaker 4: You're like, what did you say?
- 48:04Speaker 2: These are your kids that are 19 and 16 years old.
- 48:07Speaker 2: So what did you say to that?
- 48:09Speaker 4: I think we just were like. it's not true.
- 48:12Speaker 5: And at the end of the day, like it doesn't
- 48:13Speaker 5: matter what people think. And like, sorry, you had to
- 48:15Speaker 5: deal with that, but also like, it's not true. You
- 48:17Speaker 5: can either tell them that or just say none of
- 48:19Speaker 5: your business.
- 48:19Speaker 4: You know?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:21Speaker 4: Um, so I think we just kind of handled it
- 48:22Speaker 4: the best that we could, but it was just wild.
- 48:24Speaker 4: We're like, how?
- 48:26Speaker 5: Like I had been a part of mom talk for
- 48:27Speaker 5: a few months and then all of a sudden it's like,
- 48:30Speaker 5: everyone's asking me.
- 48:31Speaker 4: So how was it swinging? Like, who are you?
- 48:34Speaker 2: Now I want to know, and maybe you have the answer.
- 48:36Speaker 2: You don't, but throughout time, or at least the last 10,
- 48:39Speaker 2: 20 years, Have there been secret swinging groups within the church? Absolutely. Oh,
- 48:47Speaker 2: so this is like a common thing. And is it
- 48:49Speaker 2: this soft swinging that's like everything but penetration? I don't know.
- 48:53Speaker 3: I think that was specifically just Taylor's situation.
- 48:55Speaker 5: Yeah, that was their way of justifying their behavior, I think.
- 48:58Speaker 5: Like if we could take it this far but not too.
- 49:01Speaker 4: Far, then.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Until it just became swinging.
- 49:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Which happens a lot in the Mormon culture.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Not related to swinging.
- 49:09Speaker 2: It's like soaking a real thing. Oh, absolutely.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes.
- 49:12Speaker 2: And soaking is, you can put your penis in a vagina.
- 49:18Speaker 4: But don't move.
- 49:19Speaker 2: But not thrust. So then you have your friend jump
- 49:22Speaker 2: on the bed so that it's. What the point is that?
- 49:26Speaker 2: But that is all a real thing. This is not
- 49:28Speaker 2: like a joke.
- 49:29Speaker 4: Oh, it's a real thing.
- 49:29Speaker 2: So then you have your friend jump on the bed.
- 49:31Speaker 2: So then you're not thrusting, but you're inadvertently being able
- 49:35Speaker 2: to thrust and get some pleasure out of it.
- 49:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's very strange at that point. Just do it. No,
- 49:41Speaker 4: at that point, it's real.
- 49:43Speaker 3: What's the intention behind it?
- 49:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the same, so just do it.
- 49:47Speaker 3: It's the same.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Gazing, docking, soaking, derping.
- 49:50Speaker 2: What's gazing?
- 49:51Speaker 4: Durfing. Gazing is like they take their clothes off and
- 49:54Speaker 4: you just look at them.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Okay, and then what's the next one?
- 49:56Speaker 4: Docking is when you just dock it. Soaking.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Oh, dock the boat, but don't rock it.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Don't rock it. Okay, go. Don't you dare rock it.
- 50:05Speaker 2: That's cute. Okay, what else?
- 50:07Speaker 4: I didn't even know this. Soak, I'm pretty certain, is
- 50:09Speaker 4: the one where you, like, have a buddy help you out.
- 50:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Jump on the bed.
- 50:13Speaker 5: And then derfing is just the high school, you know.
- 50:16Speaker 5: Just dry humping.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Oh, zipper sparking. That's my favorite.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Yeah. She's like high school. I still do that.
- 50:22Speaker 2: I love it. Dry hump is all it's about. Okay,
- 50:27Speaker 2: so let's get into, okay, so Whitney. What I love
- 50:30Speaker 2: about the show is, I know we've talked a lot
- 50:33Speaker 2: about more in Mormons in the title, but I really
- 50:36Speaker 2: think And something that I think is more universal to
- 50:40Speaker 2: why you'd like the show is that, to me, it's
- 50:43Speaker 2: really the behind the scenes of these social media TikTok
- 50:47Speaker 2: stars that you see. And you feel like you have
- 50:49Speaker 2: so much insight into their home because you're watching their videos.
- 50:53Speaker 2: But this is really like, oh, I have this sponsor. Oh,
- 50:58Speaker 2: and then a little bit of the jealousy that goes on.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Like it's really great when people collaborate, but there is
- 51:03Speaker 2: also that kind of jealousy when you bring someone on
- 51:06Speaker 2: and you tag them and they get all these followers
- 51:08Speaker 2: and then later on they blow you off or they
- 51:11Speaker 2: feel entitled or they have an opportunity and they don't
- 51:15Speaker 2: invite you to do the big video with the star.
- 51:18Speaker 5: You just described the whole world literally in a few sentences.
- 51:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but I think.
- 51:23Speaker 2: That's what's really– That's what I think is kind of
- 51:26Speaker 2: a very interesting conversation that hasn't really been had yet.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 51:29Speaker 2: And I think we kind of see it. So we
- 51:30Speaker 2: see this girl, Whitney, who she takes off after the
- 51:35Speaker 2: scandal for a couple months and then comes back with
- 51:39Speaker 2: her husband, Connor, and she has a couple kids. And
- 51:43Speaker 2: we see Connor and she reveals to you guys that
- 51:46Speaker 2: the reason she left is that again on the Reddit
- 51:50Speaker 2: or whatever was it was revealed that he was on Grindr.
- 51:55Speaker 4: Grindr.
- 51:55Speaker 2: No, I'm just kidding. It's Tinder.
- 51:57Speaker 4: Oh, I was like, oh. It's Tinder. I was like, newsflash.
- 52:02Speaker 4: I just wanted to see if you guys would catch
- 52:04Speaker 4: my joke.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 52:05Speaker 4: I was like, did you know this?
- 52:07Speaker 5: Am I out of it?
- 52:08Speaker 4: You've seen it. So I'm like, oh, no. It's way
- 52:10Speaker 4: worse than we thought. That got me so good.
- 52:16Speaker 2: When I was watching it, I was like, oh, I
- 52:18Speaker 2: know the joke I'm going to tell. I think I
- 52:19Speaker 2: want to grab Grindr. But whatever, they say Tinder. So
- 52:24Speaker 2: she says he's flirting with people on Tinder, but he
- 52:27Speaker 2: never met someone in person.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Can you imagine?
- 52:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:31Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 52:32Speaker 2: What's mutual?
- 52:33Speaker 3: A Mormon dating app. That's how I met my husband.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:39Speaker 4: Grindr's way worse.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. But, no, it was Tinder and that comes
- 52:43Speaker 2: out that he was, you know, flirting. And what I
- 52:47Speaker 2: really thought was juicy, and I had seen this going around.
- 52:51Speaker 2: I never put two and two together. I recently just
- 52:54Speaker 2: saw someone post. like a couple of days ago, let's
- 52:58Speaker 2: never forget this moment where this, where this mom danced
- 53:02Speaker 2: as her kid was, you know, in the NICU. And
- 53:04Speaker 2: so Whitney reveals that she does have some gel. Well,
- 53:08Speaker 2: she won't say she's jealous, but the girls think that
- 53:11Speaker 2: she's jealous of Taylor because Taylor got to easily bounce
- 53:16Speaker 2: back in her mind from the forms of comments, people.
- 53:21Speaker 5: Which can I add, she's still bouncing back from. So
- 53:24Speaker 5: that is so false that it was just like a
- 53:26Speaker 5: bounce back.
- 53:27Speaker 4: Like she deals with that. daily.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 4: And it weighs heavy on their relationship.
- 53:32Speaker 5: I was talking to Dakota about it the other day
- 53:34Speaker 5: and he was like.
- 53:34Speaker 2: And Taylor is Dakota's... I mean, Dakota is Taylor's boyfriend
- 53:38Speaker 2: and also the father of her child. Because after the
- 53:42Speaker 2: swinging thing, she gets divorced. She has two kids with
- 53:45Speaker 2: that husband. And then she meets this other guy who also...
- 53:49Speaker 2: Is he a TikTok influencer person? He is, yeah.
- 53:53Speaker 5: He does social media and it's crazy because everyone thinks
- 53:56Speaker 5: that he's the guy that she cheated with.
- 53:57Speaker 4: In every article, it's Dakota, who she had the affair with.
- 54:01Speaker 4: And just to clear that up, that is not true.
- 54:04Speaker 5: She didn't know Dakota in the midst of the swinging stuff.
- 54:07Speaker 5: So that was a completely new relationship post swinging, post divorce.
- 54:12Speaker 2: And what's interesting about Dakota is he comes along. And
- 54:16Speaker 2: he is honest about his addiction. He was addicted to fentanyl.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Thank God he got out of that. I know. But
- 54:25Speaker 2: he's a real cute guy and happy to be on
- 54:27Speaker 2: camera like everybody else, which I think is good. I
- 54:30Speaker 2: think you've got to have everyone down to put on
- 54:32Speaker 2: the mic. And then he– so with him, then he
- 54:38Speaker 2: comes along and they have a baby. Well, they get
- 54:42Speaker 2: pregnant and unfortunately she miscarries. But then she gets pregnant
- 54:46Speaker 2: again and we see her pregnant in the show. And
- 54:47Speaker 2: that baby is six months old. And they are not
- 54:50Speaker 2: married yet. No. But they've had their issues because they've
- 54:55Speaker 2: had cops called when wicked fights have happened. Neighbors have
- 54:59Speaker 2: called cops. So she's kind of like going through some stuff.
- 55:06Speaker 6: For sure.
- 55:06Speaker 2: So Whitney thinks that she bounced back too quickly. And
- 55:11Speaker 2: Whitney's bitter because Whitney... had a scare with her son
- 55:16Speaker 2: with RSV, is that what it's called? It was like
- 55:19Speaker 2: an infantile breathing situation. It can be really scary. And
- 55:22Speaker 2: then when she got better....
- 55:26Speaker 4: When she got better.
- 55:26Speaker 2: When she got better news that the child was doing better.
- 55:29Speaker 4: Yes.
- 55:30Speaker 2: The child was still not at home. The child was
- 55:33Speaker 2: in still a hospital situation with a plastic crib wrapped up.
- 55:38Speaker 2: And then she started to do the dance where you
- 55:41Speaker 2: do the writing where it's like, When you're happy that
- 55:44Speaker 2: your child, da-da-da-da-da-da-da. And she did the hit.
- 55:48Speaker 4: The way she's describing the situation, I'm dead. In a
- 55:52Speaker 4: plastic crib wrapped up. It is like the most, like
- 55:57Speaker 4: when you put it that way, I'm like.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it would kind of be different if
- 56:00Speaker 2: she was like, my baby's home, I'm feeding him or whatever.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Or like, oh my God, we made it back. And
- 56:08Speaker 2: so she's like, the intention was just, I was just
- 56:10Speaker 2: so happy. I had to dance about it. But then
- 56:15Speaker 2: was it you? Wait, was it you? Kind of reveal.
- 56:18Speaker 4: Was it in Park City?
- 56:20Speaker 2: You sort of reveal that at one time she was vulnerable,
- 56:24Speaker 2: which I won't give everything away. And she said, I
- 56:27Speaker 2: did it because I wanted to get that attention and
- 56:31Speaker 2: likes and all of that stuff.
- 56:33Speaker 4: And.
- 56:34Speaker 2: You know, that is just part of our world now.
- 56:37Speaker 2: I know. And I believe everybody that has more than
- 56:40Speaker 2: 100 followers is thirsty.
- 56:42Speaker 4: 100%.
- 56:43Speaker 2: If you are on Facebook and it's only 86 people
- 56:47Speaker 2: because you want to show your kid off to grandma,
- 56:49Speaker 2: I believe you're not thirsty. Yeah. If you have 87 people,
- 56:52Speaker 2: you're thirsty. Yeah. You're thirsty. You're trying to do something
- 56:56Speaker 2: with this. You're on it. You're active. You are like...
- 57:00Speaker 2: People are watching. I need to feel like what was
- 57:03Speaker 2: the response to this? And, you know, many of us
- 57:07Speaker 2: make a living out of at it and then others don't.
- 57:09Speaker 2: And you get wrapped up just like anything else. You
- 57:12Speaker 2: see that you weren't invited to a party and that
- 57:14Speaker 2: makes you sad. You see that a lot of people
- 57:16Speaker 2: liked your your thing. And it's just it's just part
- 57:20Speaker 2: of our world. And I don't really think it should
- 57:21Speaker 2: be criticized anymore because it's part of our world.
- 57:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:23Speaker 4: And I will say this, that.
- 57:26Speaker 5: I think she wanted the same treatment that Taylor was receiving,
- 57:29Speaker 5: which she wasn't receiving good treatment. But I think that
- 57:33Speaker 5: the difference that people saw was that she was willingly
- 57:36Speaker 5: putting her son, who was obviously not doing well, on
- 57:40Speaker 5: camera doing the dance right there. And regardless of what
- 57:43Speaker 5: the intentions were or what was going on behind camera,
- 57:45Speaker 5: Taylor didn't create her.
- 57:48Speaker 4: Scandal like it.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Just happened right and so I think the difference was
- 57:52Speaker 5: no you actually went on and put the video on
- 57:54Speaker 5: and did this whole thing you yourself uploaded that and
- 57:57Speaker 5: did that whereas Taylor anything that's been shared has been
- 58:01Speaker 5: besides the video of her coming on after it had
- 58:03Speaker 5: already leaked has been against her will and so that's
- 58:07Speaker 5: the difference there and why I even said anything in
- 58:10Speaker 5: the first place was because I think it was Macy
- 58:13Speaker 5: that was kind of defending her. Well, her intentions, I'm like,
- 58:15Speaker 5: but she's the one that posted it. And she admitted
- 58:17Speaker 5: that that was her intention. And so that's the difference
- 58:21Speaker 5: in that situation. But I also go on record saying
- 58:23Speaker 5: that TikTok, especially then when she posted that, was wild,
- 58:27Speaker 5: wild west. Everyone was throwing up the most gnarly.
- 58:30Speaker 4: Videos to see what would stick.
- 58:32Speaker 5: It was such a new platform. And so I give
- 58:34Speaker 5: her grace because I did the same thing. I've deleted
- 58:37Speaker 5: so many videos that I'm like, ew, cringy.
- 58:39Speaker 4: Why would I say that? Why would I post that? Ew,
- 58:41Speaker 4: that kind of exposes my daughter a little bit. I
- 58:43Speaker 4: don't like that. That exploits her a little bit.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I do think there's been more of a mirror now
- 58:50Speaker 2: where we do talk about, you know, I mean, a
- 58:52Speaker 2: big part of it, and that was going to get
- 58:54Speaker 2: to my next question, is, and I've talked a lot
- 58:56Speaker 2: about it, On this show, I think Illinois is the
- 58:59Speaker 2: first state to make a law that children should be
- 59:02Speaker 2: getting money from the parent, the parents making money off
- 59:05Speaker 2: of social media. So if you had a big, um,
- 59:10Speaker 2: cereal brand come to you and you are, your child's
- 59:15Speaker 2: eating it and you do it and you get 20 grand,
- 59:17Speaker 2: then you should put 15, 20% into an account for
- 59:24Speaker 2: your child.
- 59:25Speaker 3: That's a really good idea.
- 59:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 2: You know, especially cause I mean, she's using, you know, and,
- 59:30Speaker 2: you know, people have, we were Hollywood kids. We had
- 59:36Speaker 2: an agent. My sister made a lot of money off
- 59:39Speaker 2: of it way more than me that she went on
- 59:41Speaker 2: to be an attorney. And, um, back then I remember
- 59:45Speaker 2: where they're like, yeah, we're getting an addition. And they
- 59:48Speaker 2: were like, thanks to Shannon's bold three commercial.
- 59:50Speaker 4: Like, My sister doesn't care.
- 59:54Speaker 2: They paid for her college and law school. Well, actually,
- 59:57Speaker 2: she paid for her own law school.
- 59:59Speaker 6: But had she become the Disney star, and then I
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: was driving a Mercedes, and I had a big house,
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: and then my sister at 30 wasn't making that money again,
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: that would seem pretty fucked up.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: So it's like, I think now, because there's no rules
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: like that, like there is now for TV.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I think they're trying to do it, but I think
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: you can consciously do it and you can maybe that
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: can be something you can share with other influencers. And
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: then also just being really careful that with some of
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: these children that are just, you know, so attractive and
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: cute and then people point out like. well, this has
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: been shared 18 million times. Now why has this child
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: eating a lollipop or a popsicle been saved 18 million times?
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: And so I think you have to think about what kind,
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: and then they kind of point out, oh, this mom knows.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: that by having her daughter eat a hot dog and
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: a popsicle, it does better.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: And there has been cases like that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Then if it's just her coloring or being like, I
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: want SpaghettiOs or whatever. So it's kind of, it's weird.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: But I think in the show, we barely see her kids,
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: at least the first four episodes. I don't really see
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: the kids at all.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: We all were very purposeful.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Yes, it's really, yeah, it's really hard trying to figure
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: that out because, you know, part of us, you know,
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: wants to share, like, our mom life and what that's
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: like in our children, because that's literally our life, but
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: it's also hard because we also want to protect our
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: children and the world is so scary. So I think
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: a lot of us are trying to figure out that
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: balance and what is best for our family. Yeah.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: Right. And then the husbands, you know, it's like, you
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: got to protect those husbands. Because I don't, I haven't
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: seen a lot in which the men could really be
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: criticized for. You have a blessing and your husband is like, well,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: we want to keep it smaller. We just want to
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: keep it with the group that is actively.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: She hasn't made it to Vegas yet.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: She hasn't made it to Vegas.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: What?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: Oh, I haven't made it to Vegas yet. Oh, something
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: happens where he gets mad. Okay, so, but get ready
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: for a lot of people coming out. Now, hopefully he'll
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: be so busy in medical school that he won't, See
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: his DMs or I would take them off. Yes. And
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: you know what?
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: He doesn't care.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Honestly, I would maybe not have my husband on it.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: On social.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: And you know what?
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Because I don't think they need to see like anybody
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: say that. I think what always happens with housewives husbands
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: is these guys. Traditional housewife husband is let's say he's 50.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: He's made a lot of money. He's like, sure, darling,
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: let's be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Then
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: everyone's like, you were a dick at breakfast. You have
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: no jawline. And he's like, what? I have no jawline.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I'm a businessman. What?
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: I made it.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: And then I think he starts fighting with her. And
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: then she's like, well, fuck you. This is my thing.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: And I'm going to keep doing the show. The next
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: thing you know, there's another divorce. And so I think
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: I personally would just, if I was ever to be
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: on something like that, and I wasn't me, like I
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: was just a girl that had never really been on TV.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: I'd be like, yeah, my husband's not on social.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's definitely something we're also trying to figure out.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: But he's also like in a way.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Also weird women will want to DM them and fish
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: and flirt just so that they can get clout and
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: they can do a TikTok and they're like, hi, look
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: who wrote me back.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: No, absolutely. As of right now, I feel like my
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: husband's just feeding into it because he's like, it's reality TV.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Like we're almost seeing this as a job now, like
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: not something that we're actually doing. trying to take home,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: even though that's kind of what happened in our situation.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: But moving forward, we're like, yeah, let's just like feed
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: into this. And, you know, as long as our relationship
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: is good at home, then we move forward with this.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: If not, then maybe we have to step away from it.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: Do you know any of the Real Housewives of Salt
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Lake City women?
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: I don't, but you do. I do, yes.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: I know a few. I've known of Whitney for a
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: long time, kind of like a family. Yeah, you guys
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: kind of have.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: A similar story. Second marriage, older. Oh, my God.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: It's very similar.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: I didn't sign the papers to be taken off the
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: church's list.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Oh, that's right. Their whole thing is leaving the church.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Bad Mormon.
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Does that bother you at all as a Mormon, that
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: stuff being put out there? You don't care.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: Again, everybody has their own story.
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: That's good.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: And I think everyone should be able to share their story.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:04:25Speaker 5: If we're allowed to talk about the things that we
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: are in our perspective, then other people should too.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: And so you kind of know her.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I kind of know her. I've met Lisa a
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: couple of times. Brett's ex-wife.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: I love that. I love that for you. Do you
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: like the Vita tequila? It's so wonderful.
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: I've never had it, but I'm sure it would be wonderful.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: Brett's ex-wife was a friend of on the show.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Oh. Her name's Angie Harrington.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Oh, I had her on my show.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: What?
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I had Angie on.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: No way. Blonde Angie.
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: And are you friendly with her?
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Yeah, we all co-parent really great.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that she said that when she came on. Yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: she was nice.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: Yeah, good. So yeah, there's some connections.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: So you have, I feel like there was tentacles of
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: reality TV like touching you.
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: For sure.
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: It's like inevitable. It was like it's.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: Coming for me and now it's got me and now
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: I got to make sure it doesn't get me.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: I got to stay connected.
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: Humble and awake and just try to be purposeful in
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: how I move forward with it.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: So do you think they're going to get jealous? Who?
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: The Housewives. The Housewives of Salt Lake City.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: Oh, for sure. I think so just from.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: I mean, I would be.
- 1:05:41Speaker 7: I think so.
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: I would be a little.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: Jealous just because I feel like there's a new era.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: But I feel, and I've talked about this because I
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: kind of analyze Housewives as well as have fun and
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: do impressions of them. I feel like the actual Real
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Housewives franchise, they redid New York. And I feel like
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: Hulu and Jeff Jenkins, who's the producer of your show,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: it's smart to kind of find different entities of this
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: brand of watching women who are moms and friendships. Different demographics,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: different ages, not necessarily all young.
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: You know, they're going to, like, they're doing Snowbirds, which
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: is going to be about New Yorkers who, you know,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: are kind of early retirement age in Palm Beach. I
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: just think it's fun to watch different groups of people
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: in America, like.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: You know, and kind of see.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Different seasons of life. Yeah, and that Snowbirds is going
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: to have, like, a gay couple. It's not going to
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: be all women. Yeah. Like, there's going to be different
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: kind of things that you can see, but. I mean, personally,
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: I'd be a little bit, not that there's one or
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: the other, but I'd be a little bit like, I
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: thought we were the only thing happening in Salt Lake City.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Well, I think the thing that made Real Housewives of
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Salt Lake City stick out was them being associated with Mormonism.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: But now that's, like, our whole show. Like, we're literally
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: called the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Yeah. I mean,
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: I could see how that's threatening for them.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: And we just have, I feel like we also have
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: so much... Like there's just so many more factors to
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: our show. We have Mormonism and we're young. So that
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: means that we also relate to the younger crowd.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: Much longer time.
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: And the older crowd as well as TikTok, the swinging scandal.
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: I mean, there's just so many, so many factors.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: To our show.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: The biggest thing that sets us apart is that I
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: feel like there has been this longstanding notion in society
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: to watch women tear each other apart and tear each
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: other down and compare who wore the dress better and
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: who did this better and whose husband, you know, who
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: did he marry next and all these things.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: Whereas in our group, we genuinely are friends.
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: Like we all are friends. We talk every single day.
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: We get together very frequently. We call each other when
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: we're in a bind with our kids and watch each
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: other's kids. And I feel like it's very typical for
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: reality TV.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: They film, they leave. And they come back and they
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: film and they catch up and then they leave. And
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: a lot of them don't remain friends.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: Don't hang out during shooting.
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: Don't hang out during shooting.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: I'm not shooting.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Do they sign papers to not see each other off
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: camera too?
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: No.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: That's not a thing?
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: No, they could see each other. They actually would want
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: them to. They get mad if they get together on camera.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: I've been there.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: At the Real Housewives of OC years ago, and we filmed,
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Heather Dubrow's, do you watch Real Housewives of OC at all?
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: No.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Oh, so this girl had a groundbreaking, like, let's break
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: the ground, we're gonna build this house. So she invited me,
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: we were friendly, I came out to it. And then
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: that was it, the shooting was done. And then that night,
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: a couple of the other girls go, let's go to
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Mastro's Steakhouse, let's go to Shannon Bedore's house, then we're gonna,
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: and somehow, a producer was texting, and he was so
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: pissed that they were getting together and possibly talking shit
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: about one of the housewives and the cameras weren't there
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: to see it. And it was like, oh no, there's
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: a little bit of that. Now, many people feel that
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Bravo being held, being kind of from men that started Bravo,
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: gay men whatever misogynistic in some way that these men
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: are sort of controlling these Barbies you know and I
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: think people women now are starting to see that like
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: wait a minute what it was this fuckery that we've
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: watched for 15 years now how do you think that
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: you guys can navigate that not happening that the powers
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: that be won't be as do you feel that the
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: it's not like that on your show.
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: Yeah I What do you think?
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: Because I feel like it is different.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: I feel like it's a different vibe for sure.
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: No, and I feel like our producers have been, for
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: the most part, like, amazing. And I feel like they've,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: they want it to be as authentic as possible. And
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: for it to be authentic, like, we still need our
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: relationships outside of it and things to be separate from
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: the show because these are real friendships. And I think
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: they noticed that and they valued that. And they also took,
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: not took advantage of that, but also, like, monetized off
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: of that because you'll see in this show we're our
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: complete authentic selves we're completely vulnerable and I think that's
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: why we got such a good like show is because
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: of that I think.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: It's rare well I'm gonna also say something about my
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: generation we are awful we are meaner than the millennials
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: we are more jealous we are bitchier we are like
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: the show Heathers the movie Heathers that like real bit
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: like it It's a different thing. And some of us
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: grow out of it and like are lovely. And some
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: of us are still coming after. And I think that
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: sometimes the fandom of Bravo and Housewives, it is so
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: much because they love the girls and they're cool and everything.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: But then there's this weird jealousy between the fan at
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: home and the star and they'll bring them up and
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: they'll tear them down and they go at each other.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: It's like a different kind of thing. And I've noticed...
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: in watching younger women and their relationships and treating each
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: other and Gen Z as well, it is different. And
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: there is a lot of positivity in the younger generation
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: of women that is kind of fun to watch too.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Yeah, it is definitely the generation of learning better, doing better.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: And I do like that.
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: And I'm excited to bring that element into the show
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: and for people to have some wholesome in the reality
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: TV world. Not that there's not, there's bits and pieces,
- 1:11:45Speaker 5: but I really hope people walk away feeling empowered and
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: like watch it and they they're not feeling like, oh,
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: I need therapy after that.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: They're feeling like I'm inspired by that. Yeah.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: Well, I'm so glad that you guys came. Tell everybody
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: where they can follow you personally. OK.

- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Jennifer Affleck. Just think of J-Lo and Ben Affleck.
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: Jennifer Affleck.

- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Now you can do this.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: I'm the one and only Jen Affleck.
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: I'm the last one standing.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: She said, yeah, it was Jennifer Affleck, Jennifer Gardner Affleck,
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: then Jennifer Lopez Affleck. Yes. And now there's just one
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: Jen Affleck.
- 1:12:25Speaker 4: I'm the last one standing.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: I love it. And of course, Mormon Wives is on Hulu.
