- 5:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you for allowing us to do that.
- 5:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's uh it's an honor and a privilege for us to be able to do that.
- 5:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um wow.
- 5:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So today's not a Monday, it kind of feels like it.
- 5:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'll tell you what, that this is uh this is interesting, right?
- 5:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let me tell you this.
- 5:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So sometimes days go by fast, sometimes days go by slow.
- 5:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we don't really know when that's gonna be, like when there's gonna be a day like day like where it's just gonna go by super quick, where we're just gonna be busy from start to finish, and we're gonna look up and it's gonna be 8, 9, 10 p.m.
- 6:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: and go, oh my gosh, where did the day go?
- 6:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then there's gonna be other days where we're like, oh my gosh, it's only 10 a.m.
- 6:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, how am I gonna fill the day?
- 6:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And for us at Voices for Voices, we fill it with episodes, we fill it with more merchandise, uh, we fill it booking guests.
- 6:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um that's G-U-E-S-T-S, not G-U-E-S-S.
- 6:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's for the transcript.
- 6:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Transcript can sometimes get the spelling if there's, you know, just like two.
- 6:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's T-O, T-O-O, T W O.
- 6:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Anyways, uh, so that's kind of what we do when there's a slow day, or what we feel like is a slow day, like, oh my gosh, how do we feel the day?
- 7:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we just we share.
- 7:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We we come up, come up to the camera, and then we we share.
- 7:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh when days go fast, we're not able to get the episodes out as quickly as as we would like.
- 7:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, and that gets frustrating.
- 7:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So there's all kinds of days, right?
- 7:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's all kinds of time.
- 7:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just whether that time goes fast or slow, and the one thing that is consistent, whether the day goes slow or fast or quick or uh whatever, however, you want to describe it, time doesn't stand still.
- 7:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Time continues on.
- 7:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So even if it's like the second hand on the clock goes, feels like not that it is, but feels like it's going tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, like a you know, fast day, or tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, it feels like it's going a little bit slower.
- 8:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, and I bring this up because let's do things we want to do, let's do things we love doing.
- 8:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's find out what those are or what it is that keeps our interest, our attention span.
- 8:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, you know, I've said it a lot that I don't know without the this organization, you know, I don't know where where I would be without my mental health team, medications, like all that.
- 9:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What if I didn't have and now going to the gym, gym's being uh integrated, has been integrated for the last three, four weeks.
- 9:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I think this I think this is the fourth week.
- 9:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Around the fourth week, fourth or fifth.
- 9:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Anyways, so time doesn't stand still.
- 9:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And let's find some things we love to do.
- 9:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You might say, oh, Josh says, oh, it's easy for you to say.
- 9:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No, it's not, it's really not easy for me to say.
- 9:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't just wake up one day when I was very, very young and go, oh, I'm gonna do this.
- 9:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: When I I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up.
- 9:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That that's what I wanted to be.
- 9:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't think, oh, I'm gonna start a organization and podcast and TV show to help people because I was too self-centered.
- 10:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some may still think that I am.
- 10:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I am very sorry if that's what it appears to be.
- 10:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, you know, there I'm doing the best I can.
- 10:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, we have we just have a lot of things going on in the world and families, and and it's hard.
- 10:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's not easy.
- 10:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, Justin, well, you're always in front of the camera and you're always doing shows, and you know, you you're talking about, oh yeah, you're not self-centered, but yet, you know, this is exactly what you're doing.
- 10:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, no, it it's a it doesn't work like that.
- 10:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The reason I'm doing this is because I finally found the spot, the niche, the area that so far, where we're at now, is we're helping people.
- 11:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're helping a lot of people.
- 11:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm not looking for again, I I'm not looking for a shiny star sticker or a smiley face sticker or a pat on the back.
- 11:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't, yeah, those are nice.
- 11:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm gonna do what makes me feel good, and it makes me feel good knowing that our show, our organization, we can and are helping people step away from that ledge.
- 11:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, there's there's a story that is out there where I'm not sure where exactly the United States it was or what bridge it was, and this was several months ago, but it resurfaced on my feed of one of my social media platforms, and it was a well-known singer.
- 12:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not gonna give extra pressed.
- 12:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um was a well-known musical artist who's been around for like 30 years or so, and there was somebody who was on this bridge basically gonna jump.
- 12:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it wasn't gonna be for fun or anything, it was they were gonna end their life.
- 12:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And somehow, some way this singer happened to be in the vicinity of this bridge and seeing what was going on, and uh they were able to talk this person off the ledge to get down, you know, that life's worth living, even if in the moment it might not seem like it.
- 13:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not only in the moment, maybe there's a lot of moments that it doesn't seem like it.
- 13:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I get it.
- 13:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's a lot of moments where I think I'm like, whoa, what what is what is there to this?
- 13:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then that's where I reach for the higher power, God, for me and think, well, he's put me here He's kept me here through thick and thin through really bad really bad experiences, really bad.
- 14:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um bad decisions and I'm still here and so that's a big part of what drives me too to do what we do with the organization.
- 14:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Easy thing quit.
- 14:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Lazy thing quit.
- 14:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're still gonna have lazy days.
- 15:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Where I'm not gonna go to the gym because I just want to have a day off.
- 15:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I try to do two days on where I'm at the gym, and one day off, or three days at the gym, and then one day off somehow in that order.
- 15:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But there's gonna be times where there's gonna be two or three days off because I may be uh I may be traveling, I may be not around a gym that I'm able to do a workout that I'd like to do.
- 15:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I would just adapt.
- 15:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What can I do?
- 15:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What kind of workout can I do in a hotel room?
- 15:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, there's there's different workouts you can do with just your body weight.
- 16:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so those will be the things that I'll do when um when uh the option for a gym is not there.
- 16:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or you know, the whole jet lag deal or when it catches up, it catches up.
- 16:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, talk about getting some rest, like but all these things that I mention are in the future or current, and as I mentioned at the beginning, you know, time doesn't stop, and I talk about this a lot, but time does not stop.
- 16:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It can feel like it does sometimes, like oh my gosh, like I said, like this day's going so slow, or oh my gosh, this day's gone so quickly.
- 17:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's the why I think each of us are searching for, if we haven't found it, that whether days are long, whether days are short.
- 17:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We want to find something that we love doing.
- 17:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you haven't been one of one of individuals that cares a lot about others or wanting to help others, that's your prerogative.
- 17:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I'll I'll I'll say this try helping a person or two.
- 17:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Keep it small.
- 17:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It doesn't have to be this huge production.
- 18:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, our show's not this huge production.
- 18:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We are straight to the point, we get to the point.
- 18:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes I call it the weave, where we kind of go away from the point and then come back, but it's all interconnected.
- 18:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What we share and how we share it.
- 18:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, we help somebody see how that makes you feel.
- 18:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't remember the very first I don't remember the very first time that I helped somebody because it's it's been a long time ago and at the time it could have been a s like a gesture that didn't seem life-altering, life-changing.
- 19:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, if you do something with your seven, eight, nine, ten-year-old.
- 19:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You might not might not remember.
- 19:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Might just be like, you know, just a part of the day, and you do it, and then you just continue on.
- 19:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But I'd like to someday think about thought about, but actually see if I can pinpoint where it all started.
- 19:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, we can say you know, we're voices for voices and all that because I'm a little bit older and grown and some people still say you still have whatever juvenile days where you know just like I don't want to do this, I don't want to do that, or not somehow, some way, all the way up to this point, I've been able to find a way to continue with voices for voices, sharing it, spreading the good news, sometimes spreading the news that isn't good, but it's in the public public's best interest, the public service announcement, that letting the public know about certain whether it's certain individuals, certain actions, whatever that can be.
- 20:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what you want to do is you want to go to the description, not just this show or the other, all the other shows, whatever show you you come across, you're gonna find in that description our website how to purchase the books that you see so prominently on all of our shows.
- 21:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you're if you're viewing, you're gonna be able to find the website where our merchandise is, where you can purchase merchandise.
- 21:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I said, we have so much merchandise.
- 21:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I looked at it yesterday.
- 21:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I was blown away at how much we have, and we'd love for you to uh get a t-shirt, get a hat, a notebook, a sticker, you know, whatever works for you.
- 21:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're all working on helping others, so every and it's considered a donation.
- 21:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So every donation, whether you're just doing the donation on Venmo, or if you do make a purchase of merchandise, uh all that in the United States here is a hundred percent tax deductible.
- 22:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you live in another uh country, province, state, another country, another area outside the United States, you'll just have to check with your tax preparer about how donations and nonprofits work for you and your country, province, territory, all that.
- 22:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we're here for you because you've been here for us for so long.
- 22:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Over 540 episodes.
- 22:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you.
- 22:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for joining us.
- 22:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you can give us the big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost.
- 23:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can pull out your phone, or if your phone's already out, send a message, sharing the voices for voices, podcast and TV show, and let your contacts as you're messaging them, let them know they can get the Voices for Voices podcast wherever they get any of their other podcasts.
- 23:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Same the same with you.
- 23:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, you you can get our podcast anywhere you get your podcast.
- 23:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we're everywhere, and we're here to help.
- 23:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So why don't you join join us?
- 23:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why don't you come back for another episode?
- 23:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why don't you go back and and and download the previous episodes and uh see see how this organization is helping others by talking about easy or hard topics?
- 24:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We just want to thank you.
- 24:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's celebrate voices of everyone in the world, and let's be a voice for not only ourselves, but maybe somebody else in need that's not able to share their voice.
- 24:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you, and we'll see you all in the next episode.
- 24:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
- 24:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you.
