- 0:00Speaker 1: From Houston and across the great state of Texas, this
- 0:04Speaker 1: is KSEV Mornings with Craig Collins.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Anything at all no it's crazy welcome to the thunderdome.
- 0:14Speaker 1: People news opinions politics and the stories that matter to.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Texans i shaved for this.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Here are your hosts craig collins and wayne dolcefino.
- 0:25Speaker 4: Remember everyone just don't be yourselves.
- 0:28Speaker 1: On kseb am 700 the voice of texas yes.
- 0:33Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 0:39Speaker 5: All right, second hour. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 0:42Speaker 6: That's okay.
- 0:42Speaker 7: Dana Lash, thank you for her.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Sorry, Dana. That's okay. Dana, please forgive me.
- 0:47Speaker 7: All right.
- 0:48Speaker 5: As Dana so eloquently said, Wayne Dolcevino, Craig Collins with you.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Second hour.
- 0:53Speaker 8: Yes, sir.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Of the morning show, AM 700 KSV. I have to
- 0:59Speaker 5: look up. Where am I?
- 1:00Speaker 7: You know, when you get old, you start to look around.
- 1:02Speaker 5: You just got to look around and say, where exactly
- 1:04Speaker 5: am I?
- 1:05Speaker 7: Where have I been?
- 1:05Speaker 5: You know what I'm doing later today?
- 1:07Speaker 7: What are you doing?
- 1:08Speaker 5: I'm going to a college station. I'm going to hold
- 1:12Speaker 5: a news conference with the family of Caden Crow. Missy
- 1:18Speaker 5: and Dean Crow and their daughter Cameron is getting married
- 1:21Speaker 5: and is devastated by her brother's killing in May, shot
- 1:26Speaker 5: by his roommate. They went out. The roommate was clearly drunk.
- 1:31Speaker 5: Cops said he's heavily intoxicated. He's even like peeing on himself.
- 1:34Speaker 5: He was so drunk. And he started cleaning his gun,
- 1:38Speaker 5: which is something you should do when you're drunk, right?
- 1:41Speaker 5: Start checking your gun to see if it's loaded. And
- 1:43Speaker 5: he shot his roommate. He didn't mean to do it,
- 1:46Speaker 5: but it's the classic case of negligence. And, you know,
- 1:50Speaker 5: they say you can indict a ham sandwich. You know,
- 1:53Speaker 5: they always say that, right? Well, you get indicted, you
- 1:55Speaker 5: can indict a ham sandwich. You couldn't get an indictment
- 1:58Speaker 5: on a guy who shot his roommate when he was
- 2:02Speaker 5: clearly drunk. He lied about drinking on the body camera.
- 2:07Speaker 5: He tells the cops, I didn't have any drink. And
- 2:09Speaker 5: then he admits finally it's one, then it's two, then
- 2:12Speaker 5: it's four or five, and it's whatever. Look, you want
- 2:15Speaker 5: to get drunk, have a good time. Don't handle guns.
- 2:17Speaker 3: That's negligence.
- 2:18Speaker 7: Well, any gun owner would be mad at this story.
- 2:20Speaker 7: Of course they are. Because responsible gun owners don't do
- 2:23Speaker 7: any of this stuff.
- 2:24Speaker 9: We don't.
- 2:25Speaker 7: Take any risks with our weapon because you only need
- 2:29Speaker 7: to use it when you need to use it. You
- 2:30Speaker 7: only clean it when you're sober. Like all that stuff
- 2:32Speaker 7: obviously makes sense. It's crazy that this is the kind of,
- 2:35Speaker 7: like as somebody who owns guns, I would want him
- 2:37Speaker 7: to be in trouble because I don't want other gun
- 2:40Speaker 7: owners to be thought of as the same type of
- 2:42Speaker 7: person as this moron.
- 2:44Speaker 5: So the locals there didn't even mention this. One of
- 2:49Speaker 5: the biggest reactions to the video, you got to see
- 2:51Speaker 5: it on our site, cause we've got all this body
- 2:53Speaker 5: camera video and people love seeing body camera video. One
- 2:56Speaker 5: of the biggest reactions is I never heard of this.
- 3:00Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Nobody had even heard of it. The local news didn't
- 3:04Speaker 5: even cover it. Why?
- 3:06Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I think partly cause it's AM. I think probably cause
- 3:10Speaker 5: they're homers. I think the local media, like for instance,
- 3:15Speaker 5: I did this video and the next day I see
- 3:18Speaker 5: the DA who wouldn't talk to me cause he's a
- 3:20Speaker 5: big chicken baby. Um, He, it's like DA day.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Whatever that means, right? People get to ask questions to
- 3:29Speaker 3: the DA.
- 3:29Speaker 5: And I see this local reporter, just all smiling with
- 3:33Speaker 5: the DA, like they're best friends, right? And I say, like,
- 3:37Speaker 5: did you mention this case to him? Did he say, hey,
- 3:41Speaker 5: great to see you. What's up with this, not being
- 3:43Speaker 5: able to get an indictment on something like a two-year-old
- 3:46Speaker 5: could have gotten? Are you soft on crime? What's the deal?
- 3:49Speaker 5: And they don't ask the questions.
- 3:52Speaker 7: And that's the problem. Are they also heavily advertising on
- 3:55Speaker 7: those television stations now? I'm not accusing just Texas A
- 3:58Speaker 7: & M of this, but I know that this is true,
- 4:01Speaker 7: that sometimes there's an organization that's tied to some kind
- 4:04Speaker 7: of story, and they're a big advertiser, and then all
- 4:07Speaker 7: of a sudden you can't do that story.
- 4:08Speaker 5: So look, I'll say this about universities in general, all
- 4:10Speaker 5: these towns. I ended up suing Texas Tech once over
- 4:14Speaker 5: records in the Mike Leach case, and I was there
- 4:17Speaker 5: for four years, and the locals didn't want to touch it.
- 4:21Speaker 10: Wow.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Because they really are beholden to the universities that really
- 4:27Speaker 5: run their towns. I will say something that I don't
- 4:31Speaker 5: even know if it sounds very conservative or not, but
- 4:35Speaker 5: I was totally opposed to deregulating state college tuition 30
- 4:41Speaker 5: years ago. I thought it was one of the biggest
- 4:43Speaker 5: mistakes we've ever made. Because the universities have become monster bureaucracies.
- 4:48Speaker 5: You ever try to get information out of the University
- 4:50Speaker 5: of Texas or A & M?
- 4:51Speaker 11: No.
- 4:51Speaker 5: Dude. It's like a war. You're going to spend three
- 4:56Speaker 5: years arguing over records. These places have become huge bureaucracies.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Tuition rates have soared because people teach one class and
- 5:08Speaker 5: they're exhausted. It's true. A lot of these professors, look
- 5:12Speaker 5: it up. I teach anthropology from 8 to 9 a.m.
- 5:17Speaker 5: and the rest of the time I research The mating
- 5:21Speaker 5: habits of an African skunk, right? Great, but they don't
- 5:25Speaker 5: do that much.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:27Speaker 5: And I don't mean to insult every professor, but why not?
- 5:29Speaker 7: There's a lot of them.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Why not?
- 5:30Speaker 7: A good majority.
- 5:32Speaker 5: They don't like me generally anyway, these highly educated people.
- 5:36Speaker 5: We ever see those polls where they say college educated?
- 5:40Speaker 5: So I went to college. I wouldn't describe myself as
- 5:44Speaker 5: college educated either.
- 5:46Speaker 7: I also went to college. I don't think they educated me.
- 5:48Speaker 5: I didn't really go very much.
- 5:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 5: But I don't put myself in that category. I'm just
- 5:53Speaker 5: like a regular guy.
- 5:54Speaker 12: Right.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:56Speaker 7: And most of my education has actually been far, far
- 5:58Speaker 7: away from those schools.
- 5:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 5: And because I'm a regular guy, I know I don't
- 6:01Speaker 5: want to hang out with James Tallarico.
- 6:03Speaker 7: I know that too.
- 6:04Speaker 5: That if we hang out together, which we won't, that
- 6:07Speaker 5: I would look at him and go, there's something weird
- 6:10Speaker 5: with this guy.
- 6:10Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 6:11Speaker 7: A few breaking news stories that we can shift to
- 6:13Speaker 7: if you want. First, the Supreme Court decision. The Supreme
- 6:16Speaker 7: Court did decide that the construction of the White House
- 6:19Speaker 7: ballroom can keep going. They slapped down plaintiffs in that case.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Have you been there to see the White House?
- 6:25Speaker 7: I haven't been to D.C. since they started making the ballroom, no.
- 6:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 7: Have you seen it?
- 6:29Speaker 5: No, I haven't been there. And I like Washington. I
- 6:31Speaker 5: just haven't been there in a while. I just want
- 6:35Speaker 5: them to finish it.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Yeah, I would like them to make it. That would
- 6:38Speaker 7: be nice.
- 6:39Speaker 5: But I do think there's some things Trump has done.
- 6:43Speaker 5: And I understand why he didn't go to Congress, because
- 6:45Speaker 5: they're pretty much terrible. They don't even know what they're doing.
- 6:49Speaker 5: But he probably should have. I do get the concept
- 6:53Speaker 5: that you probably should get the representatives of the people
- 6:58Speaker 5: to do it.
- 7:00Speaker 7: If you do that and then they say no and
- 7:02Speaker 7: then you go around them, do you create a bigger
- 7:07Speaker 7: pushback to your behavior by going around them?
- 7:10Speaker 5: Bigger than what Trump gets now?
- 7:11Speaker 7: I don't know. I meant that as a question. I
- 7:14Speaker 7: didn't mean that as I don't know the answer.
- 7:16Speaker 5: They talk to this guy like he's like the devil incarnate.
- 7:19Speaker 5: And I was telling you off the air that I
- 7:20Speaker 5: saw this really good video. I was scrolling reels and
- 7:25Speaker 5: I saw this video. of all the moments with his
- 7:28Speaker 5: grandkids or with other kids.
- 7:30Speaker 7: Great guy.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Really, really a good grandpa. And you could just tell
- 7:35Speaker 5: a lot about a person in the way they deal
- 7:37Speaker 5: with their grandkids and their kids. And in that measure,
- 7:43Speaker 5: Trump seems like a really normal guy.
- 7:46Speaker 7: I've told you that there's a ton of examples of
- 7:49Speaker 7: Trump actually behaving presidential. The way that mainstream media refers
- 7:53Speaker 7: to someone behaving presidential is And they refuse to show it.
- 7:57Speaker 7: There's so many interactions he does where he takes the
- 8:00Speaker 7: high road. He says the things you'd want him to say,
- 8:03Speaker 7: the way you wanted to say them, if you're mainstream media,
- 8:06Speaker 7: and they just ignore it. And then the things that
- 8:09Speaker 7: he says that they think they can spin as controversial,
- 8:11Speaker 7: not even just the stuff he says where he knows
- 8:13Speaker 7: it's controversial, but some things that they take out of
- 8:16Speaker 7: context intentionally to make it seem worse than it is,
- 8:19Speaker 7: those are the only things they can talk about. And
- 8:21Speaker 7: so he weaponizes that system in, I think, a valuable way,
- 8:25Speaker 7: even if it's getting old. And I think the only
- 8:27Speaker 7: reason— I' ll say this last thing, because we talked about this yesterday,
- 8:30Speaker 7: and I kept thinking about it after the show. One
- 8:32Speaker 7: of the reasons that a lot of the Trump behavior
- 8:35Speaker 7: has been getting older to conservatives, like some conservatives are
- 8:39Speaker 7: done with the trolling and the this and the that,
- 8:43Speaker 7: is because they do pay more attention to Trump all
- 8:46Speaker 7: the time than mainstream media does. Mainstream media only pays
- 8:50Speaker 7: attention— To the crazy person. And so part of the
- 8:53Speaker 7: reason I think he still does that is it's the
- 8:55Speaker 7: only way to get a message through. If Trump settled
- 8:58Speaker 7: himself down and started behaving normal, they'd just ignore everything
- 9:02Speaker 7: he did. And we'd have no conversations about him that
- 9:05Speaker 7: would break through the wall of the side that pays
- 9:07Speaker 7: attention anyway.
- 9:08Speaker 5: It is an interesting question because a lot of times
- 9:11Speaker 5: I will say things that my people think are outrageous
- 9:15Speaker 5: or I shouldn't say it. Partly you say it because
- 9:18Speaker 5: people remember then that you said it. Like when I
- 9:22Speaker 5: see the AI images of Carg Island blowing up. He
- 9:27Speaker 5: did that yesterday. He posted images of it blowing up.
- 9:31Speaker 5: And I think he's sending a message to a certain audience, too.
- 9:35Speaker 5: He's sending a message to the Iranians, like, don't push me, guys.
- 9:40Speaker 5: And I think that sometimes people don't understand that he's
- 9:43Speaker 5: not communicating to you in person. Houston, Texas.
- 9:47Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 7: And especially the people who support him because they're paying
- 9:50Speaker 7: attention anyway. He's talking to a lot of other people.
- 9:53Speaker 7: And I think he's talking to a lot of media
- 9:55Speaker 7: that wants to pretend as though we're losing that fight.
- 9:59Speaker 7: We're not losing that.
- 10:00Speaker 3: War.
- 10:00Speaker 7: Iran is not doing great.
- 10:02Speaker 5: I don't even understand how people say, I mean, they're
- 10:05Speaker 5: eating like garbage there. I mean, people have no money.
- 10:08Speaker 7: Things are not going well.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Their money's worthless there.
- 10:11Speaker 7: Their money's worthless.
- 10:12Speaker 5: And their military has been seriously.
- 10:16Speaker 7: Yes, absolutely.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Do I hear a sound?
- 10:18Speaker 7: That might have been the beginning of the storm. I
- 10:20Speaker 7: thought that right at the beginning there, this could be
- 10:22Speaker 7: the storm happening.
- 10:23Speaker 5: It felt like a tropical storm.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It could be.
- 10:25Speaker 7: We're covering it as best we can here on the
- 10:27Speaker 7: station and on the show.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Are we piling sandbags yet?
- 10:31Speaker 7: Yeah, we might. You and I might have to stay.
- 10:33Speaker 7: We're going to do a 24-hour broadcast.
- 10:35Speaker 5: There are people for that.
- 10:37Speaker 7: And they're not you.
- 10:38Speaker 5: They're not me.
- 10:38Speaker 12: Okay.
- 10:38Speaker 6: All right.
- 10:39Speaker 7: Well, we're going to take a quick break. We're going
- 10:40Speaker 7: to come back. I have some interesting audio from Bill
- 10:42Speaker 7: Maher that I thought was kind of funny that I'd
- 10:45Speaker 7: like to play. And then there's also a piece of
- 10:47Speaker 7: audio about Trump and how he's pushing oil to lower prices,
- 10:52Speaker 7: the oil industry. I think that's the kind of thing
- 10:54Speaker 7: you don't hear a lot about in mainstream media. We'll
- 10:57Speaker 7: talk about it here.
- 10:58Speaker 5: It's bad for the narrative.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Yeah, it's bad for the narrative. This is KSEV Mornings.
- 11:02Speaker 7: He is Wayne Dolcevino. My name is Craig Collins. On
- 11:05Speaker 7: 700 AM, The Voice of Texas.

- 11:44Speaker 6: all the scary stuff we've been through, it's still true
- 11:46Speaker 6: that timing is everything and the time to buy is now.
- 11:50Speaker 6: But don't go looking without a solid pre-approval in hand.
- 11:53Speaker 6: And this includes an application and a detailed discussion about
- 11:56Speaker 6: property taxes. If you didn't have the talk. You know,
- 12:00Speaker 6: about property taxes, you really don't know what you're pre-approved for.
- 12:04Speaker 6: That should make you wonder what else they may have
- 12:06Speaker 6: left out. Mortgages are personal. Let's face it, we're dealing
- 12:09Speaker 6: with your home and your money, and it doesn't get
- 12:11Speaker 6: much more personal than that. When it's the largest transaction
- 12:14Speaker 6: that most people will ever be involved in, imagine having
- 12:17Speaker 6: someone on your side looking out after you. What a concept.
- 12:21Speaker 6: We audit your closing statement to make sure you're not
- 12:23Speaker 6: paying for things that you're not supposed to. Do you
- 12:26Speaker 6: think your big bank's going to do that? Probably not.

- 12:54Speaker 15: Obamacare or COBRA rates? Are you paying ridiculous rates for
- 12:57Speaker 15: your family on your work group plan? Are you going

- 13:54Speaker 7: KSEV Mornings. I'm Greg Collins. We are thrilled to be
- 14:00Speaker 7: with you this morning.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Thrilled maybe a bit much.
- 14:03Speaker 7: I'm thrilled.
- 14:04Speaker 5: No, I'm actually having a good time this morning. We're
- 14:06Speaker 5: just chatting. Well, we need to talk about some of
- 14:09Speaker 5: the great clips.
- 14:11Speaker 7: Yeah, that are out there.
- 14:12Speaker 5: But one of the weird things about social media, besides
- 14:15Speaker 5: for being ridiculous, I hate it sometimes. I like it
- 14:20Speaker 5: and I hate it. Sure. But you see these headlines
- 14:24Speaker 5: and you don't know what to believe. You see a
- 14:26Speaker 5: headline and it said, today's headline, Vance makes this huge
- 14:32Speaker 5: blunder commemorating 9-11. And so you want to see it
- 14:36Speaker 5: because you want to go like, what do you say?
- 14:38Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 5: You say, I'm glad the planes flew into the building.
- 14:41Speaker 5: What do you say?
- 14:42Speaker 10: Right.
- 14:42Speaker 7: What's really interesting about the way that this all went
- 14:44Speaker 7: down is you saw that on your phone. You turned
- 14:46Speaker 7: it toward me, I think, toward a break. And you're
- 14:48Speaker 7: like holding it up as we're getting in or maybe
- 14:50Speaker 7: we're starting a segment. And so I looked it up.
- 14:52Speaker 7: And so this is described in a lot of liberal
- 14:54Speaker 7: places as a huge mistake by Vance to celebrate 9-11.
- 15:00Speaker 7: It is ridiculous when you actually hear this audio, how ridiculous.
- 15:04Speaker 7: far from any sort of blunder that this is a
- 15:06Speaker 7: a simple misspoken word and then immediate correction and i
- 15:10Speaker 7: saw some people on social media claiming that this means
- 15:12Speaker 7: that vance is happy about 9-11 like that's their reaction
- 15:15Speaker 7: to it here we.
- 15:16Speaker 16: Go 9-11 we're about to celebrate the 25th year or
- 15:19Speaker 16: commemorate the 25th year of those terrible terrorist attacks and
- 15:23Speaker 16: celebrate all the brave heroes who made it, frankly, as terrible.
- 15:27Speaker 7: As it was, it could have been so much worse.
- 15:29Speaker 7: That's literally the entire clip.
- 15:30Speaker 5: How dare he?
- 15:31Speaker 7: How dare he say celebrate? I mean commemorate.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Literally, it's like the biggest story on the Internet.
- 15:37Speaker 7: Liberal Internet right now.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 7: It popped up as a headline on your phone.
- 15:41Speaker 5: It's so unfair.
- 15:44Speaker 7: It's so intentional is what it is.
- 15:45Speaker 5: No, it's absolutely intentional.
- 15:47Speaker 14: Right.
- 15:48Speaker 7: And it's intentional, I think, more to convince the side
- 15:51Speaker 7: that already believes this crap to believe it even more. Like,
- 15:54Speaker 7: I think some of us will talk about how obvious
- 15:56Speaker 7: it is to me and you that that's crap because
- 15:59Speaker 7: we'll actually go look for the real clip and give
- 16:01Speaker 7: the person the benefit of the doubt. The biggest change
- 16:04Speaker 7: to me sometimes in some of these conversations is no
- 16:08Speaker 7: willingness to ever give anybody on the other side the
- 16:11Speaker 7: benefit of the doubt to go check whatever the narrative
- 16:14Speaker 7: you were told was. I do really like this clip, though.
- 16:16Speaker 7: This is from Bill Maher. This went viral a few
- 16:18Speaker 7: days ago.
- 16:19Speaker 5: Love Bill Maher.
- 16:20Speaker 7: He's great. Honestly, even though I really disagree with several
- 16:23Speaker 7: of the political positions he has, I could talk to
- 16:26Speaker 7: him about them. I wouldn't go crazy talking to him
- 16:29Speaker 7: about the things we disagree with. But here he is
- 16:31Speaker 7: making a joke about Lake America, and then he spins
- 16:35Speaker 7: it into how liberals are very, very much hypocrites.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Trump is so mad at Canada, he renamed Lake Ontario
- 16:43Speaker 4: Lake America. Now I've got to buy a new globe again.
- 16:50Speaker 13: Good joke.
- 16:51Speaker 7: That's a good joke.
- 16:52Speaker 10: It's like the fifth.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Time it's happened.
- 16:56Speaker 4: And liberals are very pissed at this. They say you
- 17:00Speaker 4: can't just go around renaming things to suit your political agenda.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Just ask any Latinx birthing person.
- 17:07Speaker 7: Just ask the birthing people about the fact that you
- 17:10Speaker 7: can't change names.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I just love it.
- 17:12Speaker 7: That's great.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Look, I am a guy that sees... things on both
- 17:17Speaker 5: sides that go too far.
- 17:19Speaker 13: Okay.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I do.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Sure.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I always have.
- 17:24Speaker 5: And so when I hear Bill Maher, I really see
- 17:29Speaker 5: someone that is sort of an equal opportunity offender, but
- 17:32Speaker 5: I think he's more offended now by the liberals because
- 17:35Speaker 5: they're going way too far.
- 17:36Speaker 7: Well, they're taking control of the thing that he cared about.
- 17:39Speaker 7: I think he wants the Democratic Party to return to
- 17:42Speaker 7: the thing he supports. And it's not that right now.
- 17:45Speaker 5: And I think the thing that's really up is the
- 17:49Speaker 5: Jewish thing. Sure.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Of course.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, I think he is 190 percent knows
- 17:57Speaker 5: who the bad guys are. You know, that all these
- 17:59Speaker 5: young people seem to be on the side of Iran.
- 18:03Speaker 5: And I'm going, really?
- 18:04Speaker 8: Right.
- 18:04Speaker 5: The people that want to kill all the people that
- 18:07Speaker 5: you seem to care so much about. And you're like
- 18:10Speaker 5: you're on their side. I don't– that is what to
- 18:13Speaker 5: me– and I blame professors. I blame a lot of people.
- 18:17Speaker 5: But that is one of the most bizarre things to me,
- 18:21Speaker 5: that we now live in a world where half of us,
- 18:24Speaker 5: as stupid as some of us may be out there,
- 18:27Speaker 5: half of us actually think it's Israel that's the problem.
- 18:31Speaker 7: Well, here's what I really love. You just reminded me
- 18:33Speaker 7: of something I was also thinking about a lot yesterday.
- 18:35Speaker 7: There are a significant amount of people in this country–
- 18:39Speaker 7: who believe that they could trust President Trump less than
- 18:44Speaker 7: the leadership in Iran.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:46Speaker 7: They want to trust the leadership of Iran more than
- 18:48Speaker 7: our current president. And that's when you're talking about what's
- 18:51Speaker 7: good for the United States of America.
- 18:53Speaker 5: I think we should.
- 18:53Speaker 7: That is surreal as an idea.
- 18:55Speaker 5: We should not allow those people to vote. I think.
- 18:59Speaker 7: But like people who quote to me what Iran says,
- 19:02Speaker 7: that's like telling me what your child who's lying to
- 19:05Speaker 7: you says. Like Iran doesn't tell the truth. No one
- 19:08Speaker 7: thinks they tell the truth about a wide majority of things.
- 19:11Speaker 7: It's not an American-only position.
- 19:13Speaker 5: I don't know where I saw this. I don't even know.
- 19:14Speaker 3: It's a fact.
- 19:15Speaker 5: But apparently, of all the mines they laid, where we
- 19:19Speaker 5: recovered all the mines, like 80% of them didn't even work.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Yeah, they don't work.
- 19:24Speaker 5: They don't work.
- 19:24Speaker 7: That sounds right.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 19:25Speaker 5: It's as it ran. We're going to destroy the American
- 19:29Speaker 5: infidels with mines. And most of them were just like
- 19:33Speaker 5: from Target.
- 19:34Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:34Speaker 7: They hate us.
- 19:35Speaker 5: They hate us, but they also don't.
- 19:37Speaker 7: They're terrible.
- 19:38Speaker 5: But they also don't have, like, one millionth of what
- 19:41Speaker 5: they claim to do. Right. You ever, like, virtually have
- 19:43Speaker 5: nothing left? and you're so... It's almost like that Monty
- 19:46Speaker 5: Python movie.
- 19:47Speaker 8: Sure.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Have you seen the knights fighting? I think it's the
- 19:50Speaker 5: Holy Grail.
- 19:50Speaker 7: That's the Holy Grail.
- 19:51Speaker 5: The guy cuts off one arm and then cuts off another.
- 19:54Speaker 5: And he goes, it's just a flesh wound.
- 19:56Speaker 10: Right.
- 19:57Speaker 7: And he cuts off both his legs.
- 19:58Speaker 5: He cuts off both his legs.
- 19:59Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:59Speaker 5: And he's like there.
- 20:01Speaker 7: I'll bite your knees off.
- 20:02Speaker 5: Right. It's almost like that.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It is.
- 20:06Speaker 7: It's exactly like that in all honesty. And yet... There's
- 20:09Speaker 7: a lot of people out there who are watching the
- 20:10Speaker 7: guy with no limbs threaten the guy who's got his
- 20:13Speaker 7: sword still in all of his body parts and saying,
- 20:15Speaker 7: you know, that guy with no limbs seems like he's
- 20:17Speaker 7: making the most sense.
- 20:18Speaker 5: OK, so today I want you because you're a social
- 20:20Speaker 5: media guy. I just run a company.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I don't know what I want to know.
- 20:23Speaker 5: But you should actually post a clip of Monty Python.
- 20:28Speaker 10: Sure.
- 20:29Speaker 5: And let's see if we can get someone in.
- 20:30Speaker 3: The White House to share.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Sure. Because I actually think is this is a rant.
- 20:36Speaker 5: The guy who's got both his arms and legs cut
- 20:39Speaker 5: off and is still acting like he's all that.
- 20:42Speaker 7: That's great. I will post that clip later today. I'll
- 20:44Speaker 7: put it under the KSEV radio page.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Do it on the radio page. And let's get everybody
- 20:50Speaker 5: listening out there to make it go viral.
- 20:52Speaker 17: Yes.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Share it with Trump and Scott Besson, who, by the way.
- 20:56Speaker 7: I have the Scott.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Okay. So Scott Besson is, I think, one.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Of the most biting members of the administration. Smart guy, apparently.
- 21:04Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 5: He was talking about the media saying, we're at war
- 21:09Speaker 5: with Canada because we want them to, like, not screw
- 21:12Speaker 5: us over on trade stuff.
- 21:13Speaker 9: Right.
- 21:14Speaker 7: How dare us?
- 21:14Speaker 5: Great response.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Okay, here we go. Here's Scott Besson.
- 21:17Speaker 11: I think this is very unfortunate that Prime Minister Carney
- 21:20Speaker 11: has turned this into a political shouting match. I mean,
- 21:25Speaker 11: we're not at war with Canada. How are we going
- 21:26Speaker 11: to be at war with Canada? Are they going to
- 21:28Speaker 11: take their two submarines from the Edmonton Mall and sick
- 21:31Speaker 11: them on us? He came to power.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Go, Scott!
- 21:36Speaker 11: On an anti-American, anti-Trump agenda. He was 20 points behind
- 21:40Speaker 11: in the poll. And then he started this. And it's
- 21:43Speaker 11: unfortunate that he's not doing what's best for the Canadian people.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree with him. And their two submarines are
- 21:49Speaker 7: not really all that interesting.
- 21:50Speaker 5: That's pretty funny.
- 21:50Speaker 7: That is pretty funny.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Did he say the mall?
- 21:53Speaker 7: Yes, they said they're at the mall, the Edmonton Mall.
- 21:56Speaker 7: You've got to get them out of the mall in
- 21:57Speaker 7: order to use them.
- 21:58Speaker 5: That's pretty funny.
- 21:59Speaker 18: I know.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Do they only have two submarines?
- 22:01Speaker 7: I'm sure they have more than two.
- 22:03Speaker 8: Wow.
- 22:03Speaker 5: That was great. That was a pretty good way of saying, look,
- 22:06Speaker 5: we kicked their butt in about two seconds.
- 22:07Speaker 14: Right.
- 22:08Speaker 7: They're not a threat.
- 22:08Speaker 5: Yeah. And I don't really... Look, Canadians are fine. I
- 22:11Speaker 5: like them. I went to Canada once. They were funny people. But, like,
- 22:15Speaker 5: I don't feel this, like... This necessary affinity. Yeah. Did
- 22:20Speaker 5: you to the Canadians?
- 22:21Speaker 7: No, not at all. I've never been to Canada. I
- 22:24Speaker 7: don't have any desire to go there. I've been to Mexico.
- 22:27Speaker 5: Aren't we supposed to like other white people? That's what
- 22:29Speaker 5: they say, right? That we only like white people.
- 22:32Speaker 7: You and I as white guys are only supposed to
- 22:34Speaker 7: like other white people. And Canada has a lot of
- 22:36Speaker 7: white people.
- 22:37Speaker 5: No, but I actually think it's all part of the problem.
- 22:40Speaker 5: And look, I think a lot of things go back
- 22:43Speaker 5: to the media. I really do. I think the media
- 22:46Speaker 5: has become such a destructive force for... Look, I like
- 22:52Speaker 5: to stir stuff up. I do that for a living.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Stir up.
- 22:56Speaker 5: I create waves. I create drama. I get the idea.
- 23:00Speaker 5: But there is a way to do it that somehow
- 23:05Speaker 5: is being perverted For political reasons.
- 23:08Speaker 10: Sure.
- 23:08Speaker 5: I mean, to do it simply because you want people
- 23:11Speaker 5: to pay attention to something is one thing.
- 23:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 5: Because I want people to watch our videos, obviously.
- 23:17Speaker 8: Right.
- 23:18Speaker 5: And I want them to get pissed off and outraged
- 23:21Speaker 5: when they see our videos. Yes. But I'm not trying
- 23:26Speaker 5: to get them to do a political thing, usually.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 7: You just want them to care about the stories that
- 23:33Speaker 7: you're breaking, not in a political way, in a human way.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 5: But I think so much of the media now is
- 23:39Speaker 5: just we hate Trump. And they hate Trump because Trump
- 23:43Speaker 5: went after them. And the one thing reporters don't like
- 23:48Speaker 5: is to be challenged.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I didn't like it.
- 23:50Speaker 7: No, you didn't?
- 23:51Speaker 5: No.
- 23:51Speaker 13: At all?
- 23:52Speaker 5: I remember doing stories on phony bilingual teachers. You know,
- 23:56Speaker 5: the whole– we have this– again– Maybe controversial.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Not for me. I don't care.
- 24:01Speaker 5: But I thought bilingual education was a horrible mistake in
- 24:06Speaker 5: this country. I think the cost of it was ridiculous.
- 24:08Speaker 5: I think the notion that everybody else who came here,
- 24:12Speaker 5: like my relatives, my grandfather came here, spoke Italian, didn't
- 24:16Speaker 5: speak any English. He learned English. He learned English like
- 24:21Speaker 5: everybody else. Learn it. Instead, we said, you know what?
- 24:25Speaker 5: We're going to make it easier for you guys. You
- 24:27Speaker 5: don't have to learn English. We'll just teach you more Spanish.
- 24:32Speaker 5: That's what they did. Terrible. I'm totally against bilingual education,
- 24:36Speaker 5: but I did a story once, and I'll tell.
- 24:38Speaker 1: You more about it.
- 24:39Speaker 7: Okay, you will learn more about the story.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Obviously, Russell is in a rush.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Well, we break every 15 minutes. He follows the schedule.
- 24:47Speaker 7: So after this break, we will come back. We'll talk
- 24:49Speaker 7: more about Wayne's story that he did. He doesn't like
- 24:53Speaker 7: to be challenged. But I think that you probably handled
- 24:56Speaker 7: the challenge, didn't you? Is that going to be part
- 24:58Speaker 7: of the story? Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 5: It's going to be part of the story. You're a
- 25:01Speaker 5: mob guy.
- 25:02Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah. How dare you? We got that. Plus, we
- 25:04Speaker 7: do have some other audio I'd like to play about
- 25:07Speaker 7: a conversation going on at the White House and what
- 25:09Speaker 7: Trump has been doing to push oil and gas to
- 25:11Speaker 7: lower gas prices. All that coming up, KSCV Mornings, The
- 25:14Speaker 7: Voice of Texas.
- 25:21Speaker 17: Bad decisions limit future options. Stop adversity for becoming stress.
- 25:25Speaker 17: Listen to The Frontline with host Rick Hughes, Sundays at
- 25:28Speaker 17: 8 a.m. on KSCV. Learn problem-solving devices built on God's Word.
- 25:32Speaker 17: For inspiration, education, all without manipulation.

- 25:39Speaker 9: For many years, the Pine Box has been helping families
- 25:42Speaker 9: gain insight into the often confusing and extremely expensive task
- 25:47Speaker 9: of arranging a loved one's funeral. I have worked with
- 25:50Speaker 9: Pine Box in the death of two family members because
- 25:53Speaker 9: I know I can trust Chip Beresford at.
- 25:56Speaker 7: The Pine Box.
- 25:56Speaker 9: He's the owner.
- 25:57Speaker 7: To be sure that he.
- 25:58Speaker 9: Walks me through that process and that I am prepared
- 26:02Speaker 9: for the funeral and that I get the quality I
- 26:05Speaker 9: seek without breaking the budget.
- 26:09Speaker 7: Because it's a very difficult thing.
- 26:11Speaker 9: No one wants to feel like a cheapskate handling a
- 26:13Speaker 9: funeral of a loved one, but you also can't afford
- 26:15Speaker 9: to go broke either. You know, funerals are statistically the
- 26:18Speaker 9: third largest expense in someone's life. The Pine Box sells
- 26:21Speaker 9: the same caskets and funeral merchandise that is offered at
- 26:24Speaker 9: funeral homes, but at a tremendous savings, and delivery is
- 26:27Speaker 9: immediate and free within the Houston area. Visit their website, thepinebox.com,
- 26:31Speaker 9: or call Chip directly at 1-888-PINE-BOX.
- 26:34Speaker 7: That's 1-888-PINE-BOX. I trusted them, and you can. The Pine Box.
- 26:39Speaker 8: Finding a reputable business shouldn't require luck or chance. But
- 26:44Speaker 8: how can you tell who you can trust? Always look

- 26:54Speaker 12: From the KSEV Weather Center, this afternoon, Tropical Storm Edward
- 26:58Speaker 12: will draw near, bringing rising winds and rain. Although temperatures
- 27:01Speaker 12: won't be as high, it will feel humid. Expect heavy
- 27:03Speaker 12: tropical rainfall, which could result in flooding. The high will
- 27:05Speaker 12: reach 89 degrees tonight. Anticipate a few intense showers and
- 27:08Speaker 12: thunderstorms as Tropical Rainstorm Edward passes through, maintaining the humidity.
- 27:12Speaker 12: Stay alert for flooding with a low of 77. Tomorrow,
- 27:15Speaker 12: expect intervals of sunshine with clouds passing by, along with
- 27:18Speaker 12: more showers and thunderstorms from Tropical Rainstorm Edouard. The humidity
- 27:21Speaker 12: will persist, and there is a risk of additional rainfall
- 27:24Speaker 12: causing flooding issues. The high will be 88 degrees with
- 27:27Speaker 12: the KSCV Weather Center forecast. I'm AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg.
- 27:42Speaker 5: All right, morning. Greg and Wayne, hanging out, KSED, AM700,
- 27:47Speaker 5: The Voice of Texas. And I was in the middle
- 27:50Speaker 5: of my bilingual education story before Russell, so really interrupted
- 27:54Speaker 5: me with a commercial. But I did an investigation, and
- 27:59Speaker 5: we actually traveled down south, and we proved that all
- 28:01Speaker 5: these bilingual teachers were phonies. You know, we gave people
- 28:05Speaker 5: a bonus for speaking two languages, and most of the
- 28:08Speaker 5: teachers they were hiring, this is 30 years ago, probably
- 28:11Speaker 5: still true, didn't even speak two languages. They spoke like
- 28:14Speaker 5: five words in English. Hey, let's give them a bonus, right?
- 28:18Speaker 5: And so they give a $ 3, 000 bonus, right? That's another
- 28:21Speaker 5: problem I have. It's about an English teacher.
- 28:23Speaker 7: That's a problem, yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 5: I mean, you just teach people in English. English should
- 28:26Speaker 5: have been the official language in this country the entire time.
- 28:29Speaker 8: I agree.
- 28:29Speaker 5: This notion that we put out ballots in Vietnamese or Somalian,
- 28:35Speaker 5: whatever language. I'm sorry. Deal with it. You live in America.
- 28:39Speaker 5: You speak English.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Right?
- 28:41Speaker 5: You want to go speak it? Yeah. You want to
- 28:42Speaker 5: speak Vietnamese in your house? Good luck. Have a good time.
- 28:46Speaker 5: You want to speak it out to your neighbors? Fine.
- 28:49Speaker 5: But when it comes to government stuff, when it comes
- 28:51Speaker 5: to our school stuff, it should have always been English only.
- 28:56Speaker 5: We waited too long and now we can't do it
- 28:59Speaker 5: because if we do it now, we're just doing it
- 29:02Speaker 5: because we're a bunch of racist people. Whatever. So I
- 29:05Speaker 5: did the bilingual story and then this bilingual group represented
- 29:08Speaker 5: by some lady who I didn't even know came to
- 29:12Speaker 5: the station to protest and um we were already approaching
- 29:17Speaker 5: the time at where i think abcid has become disney
- 29:21Speaker 5: i think it was during the disney stuff and they
- 29:23Speaker 5: came to complain about me that i was racist that
- 29:26Speaker 5: i was attacking the hispanics and i said no let
- 29:29Speaker 5: me let me tell you what i'm doing what i'm
- 29:31Speaker 5: doing is these kids come from countries that have worse
- 29:35Speaker 5: education systems so when they come in fourth grade they're
- 29:38Speaker 5: actually learning on a second grade level um you're teaching
- 29:42Speaker 5: them in spanish you're making it harder harder for them
- 29:45Speaker 5: to transition to immerse themselves like every other people that
- 29:49Speaker 5: ever came to the melting pot and then you are
- 29:54Speaker 5: Going to make it where they get frustrated. They're going
- 29:56Speaker 5: to quit school in 10th grade. And then two years later,
- 29:59Speaker 5: they're going to shoot my grandma.
- 30:00Speaker 7: And then they're going to blame you. They're going to
- 30:02Speaker 7: say that you were the reason that they had to
- 30:03Speaker 7: go shoot your grandma because you didn't give them any opportunities.
- 30:05Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 5: And I just don't buy that. Of course. I think
- 30:09Speaker 5: education is the thing that we've screwed up the most,
- 30:14Speaker 5: that we don't teach our kids right. We've made it
- 30:18Speaker 5: so complicated because consultants and everybody else wants to make money.
- 30:21Speaker 5: On a gravy train.
- 30:23Speaker 7: But it's interesting that you said that that is the
- 30:25Speaker 7: challenge as a reporter you didn't like, because I understand
- 30:27Speaker 7: that that was an inauthentic challenge that was disingenuous. You
- 30:31Speaker 7: were not being racist. You were someone who was reporting
- 30:34Speaker 7: an actual factual story and a group of people came
- 30:36Speaker 7: at you and claimed racism. I do think that's different
- 30:39Speaker 7: than the way that some reporters now hate being challenged about.
- 30:43Speaker 7: the accuracy of their reporting, because they know they can't
- 30:46Speaker 7: back it up. Like, you could back that up.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Yeah, but everybody's attacked. So, look, I get attacked all
- 30:50Speaker 5: the time, as you probably read on social media, right?
- 30:52Speaker 3: I've seen, yeah.
- 30:53Speaker 5: People, whatever. I can't keep up with all the enemies
- 30:57Speaker 5: I have and all the personal vendettas I suppose we have.
- 30:59Speaker 7: A lot of people love you, too. You're very Trumpian
- 31:01Speaker 7: in that way, that people have a very strong opinion
- 31:03Speaker 7: of Wayne.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. People that know me.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 5: I don't mean know me that way. I mean know
- 31:08Speaker 5: me will either hate me or love me. And I'm
- 31:13Speaker 5: cool with that. But I was controversial from the very beginning.
- 31:17Speaker 5: When I did this Sylvester Turner story and sort of
- 31:20Speaker 5: caused him to lose the mayor's race, best thing I
- 31:23Speaker 5: ever did, they came after me. And I also got
- 31:28Speaker 5: the other side. I remember walking into a restaurant once.
- 31:32Speaker 5: this was during the height of the Turner stuff in
- 31:36Speaker 5: 91 when like, you know, I caused him the election, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 31:40Speaker 5: And some guy shouted at me from a table. I'm
- 31:44Speaker 5: glad you took out that N word.
- 31:46Speaker 3: He did.
- 31:47Speaker 5: He said the actual word. And dude, it was like,
- 31:51Speaker 5: I didn't care what color he was. I actually supported
- 31:55Speaker 5: Turner in the primary. He was in the runoff when
- 32:00Speaker 5: I learned.
- 32:00Speaker 3: All this stuff.
- 32:01Speaker 5: And, I saw his wife's affidavit and I said, well,
- 32:04Speaker 5: this guy is not. That's the problem with politicians, right?
- 32:08Speaker 5: Some of them are where they are, but some of
- 32:10Speaker 5: them are just lying. And that's my problem with a
- 32:11Speaker 5: lot of these Democrats now. First of all, nobody challenges
- 32:15Speaker 5: Democrats to say how they're going to make things cheaper.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Nobody ever asked that question.
- 32:20Speaker 7: That's true. Right now, a lot of people will praise
- 32:22Speaker 7: a Democratic narrative that simply admits that we have problems
- 32:25Speaker 7: but doesn't offer us solutions. And that's not fixing anything.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Yeah. When the reality is people's wages are going up
- 32:33Speaker 5: more than inflation.
- 32:34Speaker 3: That's true.
- 32:35Speaker 5: And so, look, is it great? Are there a lot
- 32:38Speaker 5: of companies that took advantage of COVID? Sure.
- 32:42Speaker 8: Sure.
- 32:42Speaker 5: Are there people that should have lowered their prices? But
- 32:44Speaker 5: are you going to be the first? Whatever business people
- 32:47Speaker 5: are out there, whatever they do, wherever they're driving right now,
- 32:50Speaker 5: wherever they're watching, they got a job, right? Is your
- 32:53Speaker 5: company going to be the first to lower its prices?
- 32:55Speaker 10: No.
- 32:56Speaker 5: No.
- 32:56Speaker 10: No.
- 32:57Speaker 5: And the reality is, and this is why I sometimes
- 33:01Speaker 5: take the position that Republicans have to campaign in a
- 33:07Speaker 5: little bit less bravado and say, we aren't perfect. We
- 33:13Speaker 5: make mistakes. But those guys are crazy. And I say
- 33:17Speaker 5: that because I think people would cling to that. Yeah.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Because you're not perfect.
- 33:24Speaker 8: Right.
- 33:24Speaker 7: No one's perfect. Everyone's going to make a mistake and,
- 33:27Speaker 7: you know, attempt to do the best. You mentioned the
- 33:30Speaker 7: industries that are going to get pushed to lower their prices.
- 33:33Speaker 7: And by the way, the call in line, if you
- 33:34Speaker 7: want to participate in the show, 281-558-5738, 281-558-KSEV to call
- 33:41Speaker 7: in and be a part of it. But I did
- 33:43Speaker 7: see this report on Fox that President Trump will be
- 33:46Speaker 7: pushing the oil and gas industry to lower prices so
- 33:49Speaker 7: that gasoline itself becomes more affordable. This is the type
- 33:52Speaker 7: of narrative. that does not get discussed by some, especially
- 33:56Speaker 7: on the other side of the aisle.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Sure.
- 33:57Speaker 7: Because they don't want to admit that this kind of
- 33:59Speaker 7: stuff happens. But here we go.
- 34:00Speaker 19: The president is going to be hosting everyone from small,
- 34:03Speaker 19: midsize to large refiners today here at the White House.
- 34:06Speaker 19: And the Interior Secretary, Doug Burgum, is telling us they're
- 34:09Speaker 19: going to talk about red tape regulations on specific states
- 34:13Speaker 19: like California and getting back to a policy where they're
- 34:16Speaker 19: actually supporting these regulators or excuse me, these refiners. into
- 34:20Speaker 19: producing more gas to bring gas prices down. Of course,
- 34:25Speaker 19: the White House is looking to drill down on gas
- 34:27Speaker 19: prices ahead of the midterm elections, and part of that
- 34:29Speaker 19: also includes tapping into Venezuelan oil. The country is now
- 34:34Speaker 19: granting a 100-year concession for 17 of its oil fields.
- 34:38Speaker 7: Here's the president. Yeah, this is pretty good. Do you
- 34:40Speaker 7: want to actually hear President Trump speak, too?
- 34:41Speaker 5: Do you want to?
- 34:42Speaker 7: Okay, let's play that clip, too.
- 34:44Speaker 10: I think it's going to have a tremendous impact. It's
- 34:50Speaker 10: Will it before what happened before the election? I can't
- 34:55Speaker 10: tell you that, but I think people are very smart.
- 34:58Speaker 19: I think the vice president tells Fox News the Venezuela
- 35:02Speaker 19: oil deal did not come about because of the ongoing
- 35:05Speaker 19: Iranian conflict.
- 35:06Speaker 7: But the conflict did teach them something.
- 35:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 7: By the way, I don't know if that's something that
- 35:09Speaker 7: everybody will believe. I like the Vance said it. The
- 35:12Speaker 7: Venezuelan oil deal probably came from us taking the leader
- 35:15Speaker 7: of Venezuela and putting him in a jail somewhere. That's
- 35:18Speaker 7: probably where that came from. Not the Iran thing, but
- 35:20Speaker 7: this thing. But nonetheless, this is all good news. To me,
- 35:23Speaker 7: there's a lot of reason that we can be happy
- 35:25Speaker 7: about the idea.
- 35:26Speaker 5: So I do have, as a skeptical person, I do
- 35:30Speaker 5: have a question, though. If we cut all these regulations
- 35:33Speaker 5: in the last two years, why aren't things cheaper? Because
- 35:38Speaker 5: when you cut regulations for an industry, those regulations made
- 35:43Speaker 5: things more expensive and made them take longer. Correct. Now,
- 35:47Speaker 5: if they don't take longer and they're not as expensive,
- 35:51Speaker 5: why aren't companies lowering the price?
- 35:55Speaker 7: I think the answer to that question is something that
- 35:57Speaker 7: you were talking about during the beginning part of this segment.
- 36:00Speaker 5: I stumped you, didn't I?
- 36:01Speaker 3: I stumped you.
- 36:01Speaker 7: No, you didn't. I am going to answer.
- 36:02Speaker 5: All right, go ahead.
- 36:03Speaker 7: Part of the reason that I think that that happens
- 36:05Speaker 7: is that they don't want to and they don't have to,
- 36:07Speaker 7: and we don't make them. When you said before who's
- 36:10Speaker 7: going to be the first company out of the gate
- 36:12Speaker 7: to lower prices— to pre-pandemic levels.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Not mine.
- 36:15Speaker 7: And nobody's going to do it. The reason for that
- 36:18Speaker 7: is that the American people are still buying things they
- 36:20Speaker 7: shouldn't buy. And a lot of Americans are buying things
- 36:22Speaker 7: on credit cards they shouldn't be using. So the industries
- 36:25Speaker 7: that are selling us things aren't being forced to change
- 36:28Speaker 7: their price because demand hasn't changed. It's partly our fault.
- 36:33Speaker 7: We need to demand less, purchase less of these items
- 36:36Speaker 7: at these ridiculous prices in order for the company to
- 36:39Speaker 7: make sure to keep making money To put the price
- 36:42Speaker 7: back down. We can't keep buying things. Now, granted, gas
- 36:45Speaker 7: is an exception to this rule. We have to get somewhere.
- 36:48Speaker 5: I got to tell you, maybe I have more money
- 36:50Speaker 5: than the average person. I don't know.
- 36:51Speaker 3: I'm not rich.
- 36:52Speaker 5: But I don't freak out. Look, I notice that gas
- 36:56Speaker 5: is more expensive.
- 36:57Speaker 7: But it doesn't make sense.
- 36:58Speaker 5: But it's like the $ 8 or the $ 9, I didn't go, oh,
- 37:02Speaker 5: my God, I can't eat.
- 37:03Speaker 3: I had like a ribeye last night.
- 37:06Speaker 7: How was the ribeye?
- 37:06Speaker 5: Ribeye was awesome.
- 37:08Speaker 7: I'm more of a filet mignon guy.
- 37:09Speaker 5: I mean, I'm a ribeye guy. I like a bone.
- 37:12Speaker 5: I don't like just meat.
- 37:15Speaker 7: We got Mike calling in. Mike, what did you want
- 37:17Speaker 7: to say?
- 37:19Speaker 2: Hey, guys. Enjoy your show.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I'm going to go off topic a little bit and
- 37:27Speaker 2: go back to Trump renaming Trump. Lake Ontario to Lake
- 37:32Speaker 2: of America, I think it was a wrong thing to do,
- 37:35Speaker 2: and I'm going to tell you why. Because you've got
- 37:38Speaker 2: an election coming up. What turns these elections is independent,
- 37:44Speaker 2: independent-leaning voters. And when they look at that, on top
- 37:48Speaker 2: of gas prices being up and they don't support the
- 37:51Speaker 2: war already, also those independents, and you do something like
- 37:57Speaker 2: what Trump did... And it really has no effect on
- 38:01Speaker 2: the international community. Trump can't make Canada change, you know,
- 38:05Speaker 2: change Lake Ontario to Lake America. It's just what he
- 38:08Speaker 2: does with the government agency.
- 38:10Speaker 11: Right.
- 38:11Speaker 2: The independents see that, and they, why is Trump wasting
- 38:15Speaker 2: his time? And it's going to wind up hurting, the
- 38:20Speaker 2: House is a 50-50 split anyway right now. We could
- 38:24Speaker 2: wind up losing the House because of dumb things like that.
- 38:28Speaker 2: that happens out of the administration. I know why he
- 38:33Speaker 2: does it. He keeps his MAGA base riled up.
- 38:36Speaker 5: I understand that.
- 38:41Speaker 7: Mike, I do want to ask you a genuine question.
- 38:43Speaker 5: I don't disagree with you.
- 38:44Speaker 7: I can tell. Wayne doesn't disagree with you at all.
- 38:46Speaker 7: I'll say that. I want to ask you a genuine question, though,
- 38:48Speaker 7: and I really want your honest answer. Do you really
- 38:51Speaker 7: believe that a lot of people will show up to
- 38:53Speaker 7: vote in November and think about Lake America? Do you
- 38:56Speaker 7: think that's really going to be I personally don't think— okay,
- 39:00Speaker 7: go ahead.
- 39:01Speaker 2: No, it's not they're thinking about that one item. They're
- 39:04Speaker 2: looking at a series of things.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Sure.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Okay? People are going to be looking at what Trump
- 39:10Speaker 2: has done. Some things he's done is good, like the big,
- 39:13Speaker 2: beautiful bill and the tax cuts. Great. You know, I'm
- 39:18Speaker 2: a Republican. I always have been. you know, for 45
- 39:22Speaker 2: years plus.
- 39:25Speaker 7: So I'm glad you said that you think it'll be
- 39:27Speaker 7: a collection of things, because this is my point, actually,
- 39:29Speaker 7: to you, Mike. What if our trade deals with Canada
- 39:32Speaker 7: get better because we threatened to change it or we
- 39:35Speaker 7: did change it to like like what if the end
- 39:37Speaker 7: result of the posturing succeeds the way that tariffs or
- 39:41Speaker 7: anything else? Because we made a lot of trade deals
- 39:44Speaker 7: when tariffs were at their height that benefit us more
- 39:46Speaker 7: than the trade deals before. People don't talk about them anymore.
- 39:49Speaker 7: They don't have a conversation. They don't think about it.
- 39:52Speaker 7: They don't have a conversation about it. But in Trump's brain,
- 39:55Speaker 7: that's what would actually matter. We're talking about Canada, and
- 39:58Speaker 7: then all of a sudden they'll see the deal get better,
- 40:01Speaker 7: and they'll think more about the deal than about the lake.
- 40:04Speaker 7: And unfortunately, I think, to your point, it doesn't happen
- 40:06Speaker 7: as much as it should. But that's where I think
- 40:08Speaker 7: it's intent to go.
- 40:09Speaker 5: But Mike is right about something, in that independents don't
- 40:13Speaker 5: like shtick. independent voters, the folks in the middle, don't
- 40:19Speaker 5: really like smart butt. They don't like schtick. They don't
- 40:22Speaker 5: like the images of us blowing up Carg Island. If
- 40:25Speaker 5: you're going to do it, just do it.
- 40:26Speaker 7: But then that's not going to be reported anywhere. We
- 40:28Speaker 7: talked about this before, and Mike, you probably believe this too,
- 40:31Speaker 7: calling into the show. Let's say Trump doesn't do any
- 40:34Speaker 7: of this, but somehow gets a better trade deal with
- 40:36Speaker 7: Canada without changing the name of the lake.
- 40:38Speaker 5: There'll be no cover.
- 40:38Speaker 7: Nobody would talk about it.
- 40:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I actually.
- 40:44Speaker 2: This is my question here, and I agree with you guys.
- 40:47Speaker 2: It's really— renaming the lake is immaterial to most concerns.
- 40:55Speaker 5: Sure, sure.
- 40:56Speaker 2: But when you package it together, when you've got gas
- 40:59Speaker 2: prices— I know. I pay almost four bucks a gallon
- 41:02Speaker 2: this morning. The war is still going. The president has
- 41:06Speaker 2: flip-flopped many times. We're going to stop, start, stop, start.
- 41:11Speaker 2: You know, bombing, we're going to go with these many times.
- 41:14Speaker 2: They see that. And then he does this. Now, I
- 41:18Speaker 2: know I said they know it as far as MAGA base.
- 41:21Speaker 2: And I'm not MAGA. I'm a Ronald Reagan Republican.
- 41:23Speaker 5: Yep.
- 41:24Speaker 2: You know, and there's a difference between the two.
- 41:27Speaker 7: How many people do you think are Ronald Reagan Republicans
- 41:30Speaker 7: right now and not MAGA Republicans within the Republican Party?
- 41:33Speaker 2: Not many left in the party. Not many left.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Some people are... are that philosophically, yeah, we're all Ronald
- 41:40Speaker 2: Reagan Republicans.
- 41:41Speaker 10: Sure.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Philosophically.
- 41:42Speaker 7: I think so.
- 41:43Speaker 2: But when you look at the style between Reagan and Trump,
- 41:47Speaker 2: they're totally different in the way they manage the office.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Look, Mike, Trump intentionally trolls. I get it.
- 41:56Speaker 7: Thank you very much for the call, Mike.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Thanks, Mike. That was a good call. But I do
- 42:00Speaker 5: think the shtick is wearied. right, that it was funny
- 42:03Speaker 5: the first, to me, it was funny the first time
- 42:06Speaker 5: he said he was going to call it the Gulf
- 42:07Speaker 5: of America. I thought that was always kind of a
- 42:10Speaker 5: legitimate thing. Why isn't it the Gulf of America? But Lake,
- 42:13Speaker 5: the Lake thing is almost like going into that same
- 42:17Speaker 5: whale too much.
- 42:18Speaker 7: I understand. And again, I think that part of it,
- 42:21Speaker 7: and I just got a text from my mother that's
- 42:23Speaker 7: anecdotal and doesn't really help us, but she says as
- 42:25Speaker 7: an independent, she likes the humor and it wins her over.
- 42:27Speaker 7: She's one voice saying that.
- 42:29Speaker 5: Oh, she's just your mother.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Come on, Mom, really?
- 42:32Speaker 7: But here's the thing I would say. Here's the thing
- 42:34Speaker 7: I would say to this.
- 42:34Speaker 5: Is she listening or watching this?
- 42:35Speaker 7: My mom, yeah.
- 42:36Speaker 5: Where is she?
- 42:37Speaker 7: I'm a millennial. Jersey, I told you.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Oh, that's right.
- 42:39Speaker 7: My mom listens to everything I do all the time.
- 42:42Speaker 7: But anyway, I will say this about the idea of that.
- 42:46Speaker 7: I think there's a lot of Republicans who have been
- 42:48Speaker 7: paying attention to Trump for a long time who are
- 42:50Speaker 7: sick of it. And I do think in the 2024 elections,
- 42:54Speaker 7: When he was popping up on the young guy podcasts,
- 42:56Speaker 7: you know, all those 20 something, 30 something interviewed him.
- 43:00Speaker 7: I think he was amusing a new group of people
- 43:03Speaker 7: that hadn't been paying without a doubt. And so some
- 43:05Speaker 7: of those people might be motivated. There's there's a shot
- 43:09Speaker 7: that he's sort of taking. And I don't think it
- 43:11Speaker 7: worked that maybe some of these young 20, 30 something
- 43:14Speaker 7: dudes who like my irreverent behavior will like this, this joke.
- 43:19Speaker 7: And he's trying to get those individuals mobilized as well.
- 43:22Speaker 5: I get it. But I'm going to say one other thing.
- 43:24Speaker 5: I am of the group that kind of wishes that
- 43:29Speaker 5: Trump could just try once or twice to just read
- 43:33Speaker 5: the script.
- 43:34Speaker 7: But he does that. I told you he doesn't. It's
- 43:36Speaker 7: just nobody talks about those moments because they do happen.
- 43:39Speaker 7: He does not go off script every moment of every conversation.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I've watched a lot of his speeches. I know.
- 43:45Speaker 5: And he goes off a lot. Talking about something that.
- 43:49Speaker 5: All of us know it's just a bunch.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Of nonsense noodle stuff.
- 43:52Speaker 7: It just does.
- 43:54Speaker 5: It's funny sometimes.
- 43:55Speaker 8: Right.
- 43:56Speaker 7: I find it funny a lot of the time.
- 43:57Speaker 5: No, and I think it's funny a lot of the time. Right.
- 44:00Speaker 5: But it's not helping. But I don't think now it's
- 44:02Speaker 5: funny as much. Sure.
- 44:03Speaker 7: I don't think it's helping.
- 44:05Speaker 5: I don't think it's helping us.
- 44:06Speaker 2: I get it.
- 44:07Speaker 7: I get it.
- 44:07Speaker 5: And explain that we really, this really is an election.
- 44:11Speaker 11: Right.
- 44:12Speaker 7: But is this election about Trump or is this election
- 44:14Speaker 7: about the people running for office?
- 44:15Speaker 3: I think it's about Trump.
- 44:16Speaker 7: A lot of people want it to be about Trump,
- 44:17Speaker 7: including Trump. But I actually would take the position it's not.
- 44:20Speaker 7: We got the break play.
- 44:23Speaker 3: All right, Russell. Fine.
- 44:25Speaker 7: We'll talk about that more in just a bit. One

- 46:21Speaker 12: Join me this weekend for the Backyard Bay radio program.
- 46:25Speaker 7: Now at our new time, Saturday mornings at 9 a.m.
- 46:29Speaker 7: right here on AM 700 KSEV.
- 46:32Speaker 1: The Voice.
- 46:35Speaker 13: All right.
- 46:43Speaker 5: It's the mornings here on KSEV AM 700. Wayne Dolcefino
- 46:48Speaker 5: and Craig, what's his name?
- 46:50Speaker 3: Collins.
- 46:51Speaker 7: At least you don't call me Chris.
- 46:53Speaker 5: You know, ever since you told me your.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Real name, it's been in my head.
- 46:57Speaker 15: Really?
- 46:58Speaker 5: I have to think. I asked Carter yesterday. Carter's my
- 47:01Speaker 5: number two. He's my spirit animal. And I asked Carter,
- 47:04Speaker 5: I said, hey, what the hell's Craig's last name? I
- 47:06Speaker 5: don't even know his last name.
- 47:08Speaker 7: Well, because we were emailing.
- 47:09Speaker 5: We just met. People find it hard to believe, but
- 47:11Speaker 5: someone who listens told me, you guys just talk for
- 47:15Speaker 5: like two hours, just blah.
- 47:16Speaker 13: Blah, blah.
- 47:16Speaker 5: I do. We literally have known each other. We met once,
- 47:19Speaker 5: but I didn't care about you.
- 47:20Speaker 7: Yeah, you didn't care about me at all.
- 47:21Speaker 5: But we know each other for like a week.
- 47:23Speaker 7: We have.
- 47:23Speaker 5: But back to Trump. Because I think this is important. Sure.
- 47:28Speaker 5: Where I really got disappointed in Trump was in his,
- 47:33Speaker 5: not in his first speech was okay on Iran, but
- 47:36Speaker 5: his second one. When it was time to explain to
- 47:40Speaker 5: the people that this was going to be a little
- 47:42Speaker 5: more complicated.
- 47:43Speaker 7: And the necessity of the conflict.
- 47:44Speaker 17: Okay.
- 47:45Speaker 5: I would have brought my damn grandchildren into the room
- 47:48Speaker 5: and said this– more real, okay? And not like reading
- 47:55Speaker 5: it like he was like exhausted reading it like he
- 47:58Speaker 5: didn't care he was reading it, right? Like these people
- 48:02Speaker 5: hate us.
- 48:03Speaker 10: They do.
- 48:04Speaker 5: They want to kill us. They're happy when we blow up, right?
- 48:09Speaker 5: They celebrate when our towers were knocked down.
- 48:13Speaker 15: Right.
- 48:13Speaker 5: They celebrate it. cheering everywhere over there.
- 48:16Speaker 7: When people were literally jumping out of the towers to
- 48:18Speaker 7: their death, they were celebrating.
- 48:21Speaker 5: On fire, jumping to their death in a horrible, the
- 48:24Speaker 5: most horrible kind of death. And they celebrated, right? I
- 48:28Speaker 5: think one of the problems with young people, and as
- 48:30Speaker 5: an old people I can say that now, but one
- 48:32Speaker 5: of the young people's problems is they don't remember history.
- 48:35Speaker 7: They don't care about history. It's not even that they
- 48:37Speaker 7: don't remember, they just don't care. I've met some people
- 48:39Speaker 7: that you can tell them factual historical things that you
- 48:43Speaker 7: feel like a reminiscent of stuff happening now, and it's
- 48:45Speaker 7: irrelevant to them. They're like, ah, it doesn't matter. I'm
- 48:47Speaker 7: going to live my life.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Whose fault is it?
- 48:49Speaker 7: I don't know whose fault it is.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Obviously, I don't remember the War of 1812. I don't
- 48:52Speaker 5: have a real feel for who was right, who was wrong.
- 48:55Speaker 5: I just don't know, right? But more recent history, I mean,
- 49:00Speaker 5: the things... I don't understand Pearl Harbor. I get it
- 49:03Speaker 5: was 70 years ago or whatever, or 80 years ago,
- 49:07Speaker 5: but I still get it, right? We were attacked... I
- 49:11Speaker 5: have seen the movie, Tora, Tora, Tora. So I understand
- 49:14Speaker 5: all about Pearl Harbor. I just don't understand how they
- 49:17Speaker 5: don't see that for... for 40-something years and for 47
- 49:23Speaker 5: years more, these people will screw with us. They will
- 49:28Speaker 5: kill us when they can. They're fine with somebody blowing up.
- 49:32Speaker 5: Some shopping center or a parade. They literally hate us.
- 49:37Speaker 5: And they're religious freaks. And I'm not a big fan
- 49:40Speaker 5: of religious freaks of any religion.
- 49:42Speaker 7: I've noticed.
- 49:43Speaker 5: I don't like the freaks.
- 49:44Speaker 7: By the way, I can tell you that I'm on
- 49:46Speaker 7: the side of the United States and not Great Britain
- 49:48Speaker 7: in the War of 1812. On that one, I would
- 49:50Speaker 7: go U.S.
- 49:50Speaker 5: No, no.
- 49:52Speaker 3: I just don't know enough.
- 49:53Speaker 7: I'm kidding with you.
- 49:54Speaker 5: Yeah, but I really have no facts, right? I know
- 49:57Speaker 5: I learned in school. There was a war.
- 49:59Speaker 3: We won.
- 50:00Speaker 5: In 1812.
- 50:00Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 50:01Speaker 7: My favorite videos online are when people ask, when did
- 50:04Speaker 7: the War of 1812 happen? And people get it wrong. Like,
- 50:06Speaker 7: that's my favorite because that happens.
- 50:08Speaker 5: If you see the man on the streets on Jesse
- 50:11Speaker 5: Watters' show, I forget the guy's name who does it,
- 50:13Speaker 5: but people are incredibly uninformed.
- 50:17Speaker 7: But I want to go back.
- 50:18Speaker 5: But isn't that scary?
- 50:19Speaker 3: It is scary.
- 50:20Speaker 5: How uninformed.
- 50:20Speaker 7: I want to go back to something you said about Trump,
- 50:22Speaker 7: and I only have a few minutes left before the
- 50:23Speaker 7: show is just over. Whenever I have a conversation with someone,
- 50:27Speaker 7: and you're not this type of person who, like, obsesses
- 50:30Speaker 7: about everything Trump says, and they're on the left and
- 50:32Speaker 7: they're crazy and they're like, Everything he says is wrong
- 50:35Speaker 7: and terrible and awful. I usually ask that person, and
- 50:39Speaker 7: it's hard to get them to admit this, like what
- 50:41Speaker 7: policies that are influenced by these things that you're mad
- 50:44Speaker 7: that he said are actually things that you think are bad.
- 50:48Speaker 7: And they can never do that part because the thing
- 50:50Speaker 7: that matters to me is that the policies themselves, and
- 50:53Speaker 7: this is where Mike, the Reagan Republican who called in,
- 50:56Speaker 7: and you and I can all agree, We like them.
- 50:59Speaker 7: We like all the different decisions being made. We like
- 51:01Speaker 7: the fact that the border is not wide open right now.
- 51:03Speaker 7: We like outside of maybe the conflict in Iran, where
- 51:07Speaker 7: you and I do believe that it was a necessity
- 51:09Speaker 7: for a variety of reasons.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Oh, I would be bombing them this morning.
- 51:12Speaker 7: A lot of people think that we shouldn't have created
- 51:14Speaker 7: that fight. But by and large, the actual policy decisions
- 51:17Speaker 7: that the Trump administration has made, even attempting to make
- 51:20Speaker 7: our elections more secure and pass something like the Save
- 51:23Speaker 7: America Act, Most Americans want that. They agree with that.
- 51:27Speaker 7: So the people who are obsessed with the discussion are missing.
- 51:32Speaker 7: It's the forest for the trees. I've always said they're
- 51:34Speaker 7: missing the part that actually matters. And at the end
- 51:37Speaker 7: of the day, the part that matters that I like
- 51:39Speaker 7: the most in Trump at times is very quick in
- 51:42Speaker 7: how efficiently he goes from idea to. to thing happening.
- 51:46Speaker 7: And usually he'll go around Congress to do that. But
- 51:48Speaker 7: he's really good at enacting some of the things he
- 51:51Speaker 7: promises to do. There's not many promises Trump made that
- 51:54Speaker 7: he hasn't delivered on.
- 51:55Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 7: The only one might be the war.
- 51:57Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 51:57Speaker 5: But the biggest mistake is not selling people. You can't
- 52:02Speaker 5: do it in the media. The news won't cover it.
- 52:04Speaker 10: Right.
- 52:04Speaker 5: You've got to do it in commercials. Sure. And they
- 52:06Speaker 5: got money coming out there. You know what? They do.
- 52:09Speaker 3: They do.
- 52:09Speaker 5: The Republicans. And every day... They should be dropping a
- 52:14Speaker 5: spot to show people how things have come down.
- 52:18Speaker 8: Sure.
- 52:18Speaker 5: What's cheaper? Sure. What's better?
- 52:21Speaker 2: Sure.
- 52:21Speaker 5: The war is a temporary thing. And if I was
- 52:25Speaker 5: running it, it would be even more temporary because we
- 52:27Speaker 5: would have already... We've already turned it into a dust
- 52:30Speaker 5: pile and then say, have a good time.
- 52:32Speaker 3: But that's me.
- 52:32Speaker 7: No, I get it. I totally do. But we'll talk
- 52:35Speaker 7: about this again tomorrow. You're not here tomorrow. You're on assignment.
- 52:38Speaker 5: Oh, I'm on call station tonight. I'm staying there tonight.
- 52:42Speaker 5: And so we'll be here tomorrow.
- 52:43Speaker 3: I'm on assignment.
- 52:43Speaker 7: But you are going to be here Thursday.
- 52:45Speaker 5: Well, yeah, but you know, now you've promised something that
- 52:48Speaker 5: I could change my mind.
- 52:50Speaker 7: I was trapping you on the air. Wayne said he'll
- 52:52Speaker 7: be here Thursday.
- 52:53Speaker 5: I may try to do the show Thursday from my office.
- 52:55Speaker 7: Okay, we'll do that.
- 52:56Speaker 5: I'm sick of it.
- 52:57Speaker 7: This is KSVB Mornings.
- 52:59Speaker 5: We're done.
- 53:00Speaker 7: No, it's been great. KSVB Mornings, Wayne DelGiovino, Craig Collins.
- 53:03Speaker 7: Talk to you tomorrow, 700 a.m., The Voice of Texas.
