- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
- 0:06left off with the Sarah Kellen interview with Congress Miss Brignac.
- 0:13We're ready to go back on the record. The time
- 0:15is one oh five and the majority begins their second hour,
- 0:19Miss Brignac. Question, Miss Kellen, we briefly discussed your compensation,
- 0:24but can you describe how it fluctuated throughout your time
- 0:27working for mister Epstein. Answer? I started at twenty five
- 0:31thousand a year. I believe it got up to one
- 0:33hundred thousand a year at one point, and then he
- 0:35cut everyone's pay when he went to jail, and it
- 0:37ended at seventy five thousand a year at the end
- 0:40of my employment. Question how much did he cut your
- 0:43pay by answer? I guess it would have been twenty
- 0:45five percent if it was one hundred thousand and then
- 0:48seventy five thousand. Question did you receive compensation beyond that salary? Answer?
- 0:55He would give me a few gifts though through the years.
- 0:58Question did he pay for your housing? Answer? He gave
- 1:00me an apartment to live in. He had maybe ten
- 1:02apartments that different staff members. Timmins was that at three
- 1:06oh one Kellen, Yes, Timmins, Okay, thank you, Brignac. And
- 1:11did anyone live with you at three oh one East
- 1:14sixty sixth Street Kellen, No, Brignac. Who are your neighbors Kellen?
- 1:20In relation to Jeffrey, the pilots all had an apartment,
- 1:23his girlfriend had an apartment, The chef had an apartment
- 1:26while he had a private chef Jean lu Brunel had
- 1:28an apartment. Timmins, When did you move out of the
- 1:32apartment Kellen, twenty twelve when I became engaged to my
- 1:36second husband, Timmins. By twenty fourteen, there were seven different
- 1:40women living there. Did you overlap with any of them? Kellen?
- 1:44I wasn't there in twenty fourteen, so I wouldn't have
- 1:46known who was there. Timmins. I don't know if any
- 1:49of them were still there. They came right around that time,
- 1:52but there were no other women in your orbit while
- 1:55you were there in twenty twelve. There were no other assistants, Kellen.
- 2:01I know one of his girlfriends was still living there
- 2:03that I knew, Timmins. Do you recall the name Kellen
- 2:07redacted Brignac question, and that's redacted? Correct? Answer yes. Question
- 2:13what were the names of the other pilots and chefs
- 2:15that lived at the address? Answer Larry Vasaski, David Rodgers,
- 2:20Larry Morrison, Adam Perry Lang, and I believe Darren Endyke
- 2:23had an apartment there as well. In the beginning of
- 2:26my employment. I don't remember if any other chefs lived there.
- 2:29And then at one point they used two of the
- 2:31apartments as offices when he was in jail to save money.
- 2:36Question were you abused at this apartment? Answer no. Question
- 2:39did he, mister Epstein, pay your rent at the apartment
- 2:42or did he place the apartment in your name? Answer?
- 2:45He never put it in my name, although he always
- 2:47dangled that carrot in front of me. In the beginning
- 2:50of my employment, he said, if you make it working
- 2:53five years with me, I'll put the apartment in your name,
- 2:56and that never happened, and then he kind of continued
- 2:59it in the later years as well. He kept saying
- 3:01he was gonna put the apartment in my name, and
- 3:03it never happened. And then when he was kind of
- 3:08like pushing me out of the apartment when I was
- 3:10engaged to Brian, I reminded him of his promise. And
- 3:13he just sort of ignored it. Question Brian being Brian
- 3:16Vickers answer correct, question, thank you? Did he pay for
- 3:20your medical appointments? Answer yes. Question did mister Epstein pay
- 3:24for your education? Answer? I don't believe I got any
- 3:27extra education when I was working with him. Question did
- 3:30mister Epstein offer you any personal loans? Answer? He gave
- 3:34me gifts. I didn't understand them to be loans. Question
- 3:37did you ever ask him for a personal loan? Answer? No?
- 3:40Question did any other associate of mister Epstein receive personal loans? Answer?
- 3:45Any other associates receive loans? I'm not sure, Ham. Can
- 3:50we pause for a second, they go off record, they
- 3:53come back, Kellen. Sorry. She wanted me to mention that
- 3:55he in the very beginning before I started working, he
- 3:59asked if I had any day and he paid off
- 4:01my credit cards during like the very first interview I
- 4:03had with him that first week, Miss Brygnac, Thank you, Timmins.
- 4:07Approximately how much was that, Kellen? Like? Fifteen hundred? Miss Ham.
- 4:12I'm sorry, clarify one more thing. On the medical appointments,
- 4:16you also received health insurance right, so he would pay
- 4:18for the doctor's appointments, and he provided medical insurance. Is
- 4:22that right, Kellen? Uh huh ham okay, Tolan, And you
- 4:26mentioned gifts. What type of gifts did you receive Kellen.
- 4:29He bought me jewelry, clothing. He gave me money onto
- 4:32accounts that I remember. He gave me a mini moke
- 4:35for my birthday, one year luggage, that sort of thing, Tolan.
- 4:39And was the money that was just a gift. It
- 4:43was for no purpose specifically, Kellen. So one was to
- 4:47help pay for my wedding. And then there was one
- 4:49I went to see him in New York, and that
- 4:51was expressing how stressed I was at the time. My
- 4:54husband and I gutted our apartment in New York and
- 4:56a few months after that he was in the hospital
- 4:59with emergency open heart surgery and he couldn't race anymore.
- 5:02He was a professional race car driver, so like, basically
- 5:06he had no more income and he had to pay,
- 5:08Like he used his entire life savings to try and
- 5:10rebuild the apartment, but we couldn't get it back to livable,
- 5:14and we couldn't refinance without it being livable. And it
- 5:17was just like super stressful time. And I was telling
- 5:20Jeffrey about that, and he just got on the phone
- 5:22and told his accountant to wire me money, which I
- 5:25assumed was to help alleviate some of my stress. Brignac. Question,
- 5:30Miss Kellen, back to the payment on the apartment, did
- 5:33you understand that the other associates of mister Epstein that
- 5:35lived there also had their rent paid or was the
- 5:38apartment placed in any of their names? Answer? I'm not
- 5:41aware of them being placed in any of their names,
- 5:43and I never really understood like how it was like.
- 5:46I assumed Jeffrey owned the apartments the way he liked
- 5:49acted with him, but I never really understood who properly
- 5:52owned them. I think his brother and another They had
- 5:55a partner in the building, Anthony Barrett, who Jeffrey was
- 5:58friendly with. But I didn't quite understand the dynamics of
- 6:01all of that. Question. Did mister Epstein ever assist in
- 6:04setting up a business for you? Answer? Mister Endyke helped
- 6:08set up my SLK Design interior design company. Question did
- 6:12mister Epstein ever use SLK Design to help young women
- 6:15or girls acquire visas or passports? Answer? He had me
- 6:20hire an assistant that helped me with design a design project.
- 6:23She was an assistant and she was hired under SLK Designs.
- 6:28Question can you describe the conversation to me that came
- 6:31out of that taking place? Who told you to hire her?
- 6:34Answer Jeffrey. Question who was the assistant? Answer redacted? Question Okay,
- 6:39did you express any concerns about the hiring decision? Answer no,
- 6:43because she had gone to school for interior design and
- 6:46she was helping a lot with sourcing furniture and fabrics
- 6:49and interior design projects. Question Miss Kellen, you've described your
- 6:53previous husband, Brian Vickers, and documents that the committee has
- 6:56reviewed revealed that mister Vickers did communicate with mister vp Epstein.
- 7:01What was mister Epstein's involvement in your relationship? Answer? I
- 7:05had not told Brian about the abuse in the beginning
- 7:08and positioned Jeffrey as more of a father figure to
- 7:10him because I was ashamed of disclosing what had happened
- 7:13to him. So that's kind of the context of that.
- 7:15Brian Viudeman, I think he, like Jeffrey, wanted to be
- 7:19involved with our pre nup and was giving advice on that.
- 7:22I don't think they had a lot of communication. I mean,
- 7:24I saw some of the emails online. Some of them
- 7:27I weren't aware of? Question who introduced you to mister Vickers? Answer?
- 7:32I met him through one of my friends. Her husband
- 7:34was friends with Brian, and we met out a brunch
- 7:36in New York, Tolan, and what was mister Epstein's reaction
- 7:41to you getting engaged and leaving your job as his assistant? Kellen?
- 7:45He started getting more difficult towards me and being more
- 7:48dismissive of me. He was like, when can you when
- 7:52are you going to move out of the apartment and
- 7:54was trying to kick me out of the apartment pretty quickly.
- 7:57He kept saying, when are you going to go to
- 7:59Brian's health insurance? And I was like, we're not married yet.
- 8:01I can't go on as insurance until we're married. When
- 8:04I wasn't traveling with Jeffrey twenty four to seven like
- 8:07I typically was, he was like, this isn't working. We're
- 8:10going to have to cut your pay or you know.
- 8:12He just became more hostile towards me just because I
- 8:15wasn't at his beck and call twenty four to seven
- 8:17anymore Brignac question, Miss Kellen. I will now read a
- 8:22list of individuals that the Committee has identified as associated
- 8:25with mister Epstein and that the request of your counsel.
- 8:29This will be a list. Some of these might be
- 8:31repetitive from the minorities hour, but for clarity on the record,
- 8:35I'm going to run through them again. For each name,
- 8:37please stay whether you witnessed any inappropriate behavior from the individual.
- 8:42If the answer is yes, I will not ask you
- 8:44to give information about the victim. Ham, I'm so sorry.
- 8:48Can I just clarify? You mean like inappropriate sexual behavior?
- 8:52Brignac correct, Ham being rude, okay, inappropriate sexual behavior? Question?

- 10:03no question. Alan Dershowitz answer no question. Jean Luke Burnell
- 10:08answered no. At Wood Brock answer no. President Bill Clinton
- 10:12answered no. Steven Sinofsky answer no question. Are there any
- 10:17others that you witness conduct engage in sexual conduct? Answer
- 10:22only towards myself, Philip Levine and Frederick Foucai. Mister Timmins,
- 10:26can I jump in? So, Philip Levine, when did you
- 10:29first encounter him? What year? Miss Kellen? Pretty much right away?
- 10:33The instance that I referenced was in two thousand and two,
- 10:36two thousand and three, Jeffrey and Glane rented a house
- 10:39in San Trope for the summer, and Philip came to
- 10:42stay with them part of the time. Timmins, and that's
- 10:45when the first instance occurred, Kellen, Uh huh, Timmins, and
- 10:49he sexually assaulted you? Is that what you said earlier, Kellen. Correct,
- 10:53at the house and then again on the beach. We
- 10:56were kind of walking and I think it was Jeffrey
- 10:58and Glane We're walking ahead of us, and there was
- 11:01me and Philip, and then there was like this wooden
- 11:03kind of shack on the beach and he just kind
- 11:05of grabbed my hand and pulled me into the shack. Timmins. Okay,
- 11:09so that's two thousand and two, Kellen, two thousand and
- 11:11two or two thousand and three, It was pretty early
- 11:14on in my employment, Burlason. Was this on the island? Timmins? No,
- 11:19this was Kellen jumps in in santro Pe. Timmins. What
- 11:23other further contact did you have with Philip Levine after
- 11:26two thousand and three, Kellen, I don't remember any specific
- 11:29contact that I had. I just knew that him and
- 11:32Glaine were very friendly. Timmins, So you never saw him
- 11:35again after two thousand and three, Kellen, It's possible, but
- 11:39I don't remember, Timmins. But in two thousand and three
- 11:42in Santrope. I hate to ask you to do this,
- 11:44but can you give me additional details about the interaction Kellen?
- 11:48It was at night Jeffrey and Glaine had gone to bed,
- 11:50and their bedroom was upstairs, and then Philip was staying
- 11:53in a bedroom downstairs, and we were both still awake,
- 11:57and he brought me into his bedroom and said, you know,
- 11:59you must be sold lonely, always with them and never
- 12:02not having your own life, and kind of not being
- 12:04able to do or be with anyone, kind of was
- 12:07basically forced himself on me. Question miss Brignac, Now, Miss Kellen,
- 12:13the question was whether you witnessed any of those individuals
- 12:15engage in sexual activity? And you had prompted whether I
- 12:19was asking of your general awareness. Can you answer whether
- 12:22you were you were aware of any of those individuals
- 12:25having engaged in sexual misconduct? Ham aware at the time
- 12:29that she was employed for Epstein. Brignac. Correct, Kellen, I
- 12:33wasn't aware, Brignac. Did you ever witness mister Epstein giving
- 12:36cash to young women or girls? Ham? This is where
- 12:40we understand that some of the allegations are so I
- 12:43don't want to speak about the victims. Kellen. Okay, Brignac
- 12:46and understanding the scope for clarity on the record, are
- 12:49you refusing to answer that question? Ham? Yeah, I'm asking
- 12:52her based on the parameters that we that she's prepared
- 12:55to discuss today that we don't want to get into
- 12:57other victims. Kellen, and I would like to be able
- 13:00to answer all the questions, but I just need to
- 13:02like listen to my counsel. Timmins. If you were given
- 13:05immunity by the Department of Justice or this committee, would
- 13:08you be willing to answer more questions? Kellen one hundred percent? Timmins.
- 13:13Do you think that the answers to those questions would
- 13:16result in additional people being indicted or held accountable? Kellen,
- 13:20I don't know. I mean, I don't Timmins. Can I
- 13:23direct that to your lawyer? Kellen? Sure? Ham, Yeah, I
- 13:26think it's hard because I'm not sure what she the
- 13:29DOJ knows honestly, Brignac and I understand the scope, but
- 13:33for clarity on the record, we have a few more questions.
- 13:37Did miss Maxwell or mister Epstein ever ask you to
- 13:39introduce young women to girls or clients or friends of Epstein? Ham?
- 13:43I think you can answer that, Kellen, No, I'm sorry.
- 13:46Could you reask? I'm sorry? Sure? Did miss Maxwell or
- 13:50mister Epstein ever ask you to introduce young women or
- 13:52girls to clients or friends of mister Epstein, Kellen, no question, Brignac,
- 13:57did you ever witness mister Epstein have sexual contact of
- 13:59any with young women or girls? Ham? You can answer
- 14:03for yourself, Kellen, myself in three instances I mentioned before
- 14:07with Glaine and then to other women. Brignac, thank you,
- 14:10But that wasn't the question. Did you ever witness mister
- 14:13Epstein have sexual contact of any kind with other young
- 14:16women or girls? Ham? Yeah, we're not talking about that.
- 14:20I don't want to put her in a position to
- 14:21talk about other victims, but she is able to talk
- 14:23about her own experience being victimized by him with other
- 14:26people present. If you want information, Brignac, and just for
- 14:30clarity on the record, you're refusing to answer that question, Kellen,
- 14:34I'm listening to my attorney. Brignac. Thank you, Ham. I
- 14:39mean this was the scope. I appreciate the committee's position,
- 14:42but this is voluntary and coming in here, we wanted
- 14:45to make sure that she was able to provide information
- 14:48to be helpful to the committee while protecting herself and
- 14:51understanding that sustained questioning on some of these topics is
- 14:55very difficult for her to get through. All right, folks,
- 14:57We're going to wrap up right here, and then the
- 14:59next step episode dealing with the topic, we're going to
- 15:01pick up where we left off. All the information that
- 15:04goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
