- 0:01Guys, Jerry's having a good day. Guys, I don't know what I'm
- 0:04doing. Hi everyone.
- 0:07Tell him. Tell him everything that
- 0:08happened to you today. So we, Brian and I, take weeks
- 0:14to prepare for any content, any research that we put together.
- 0:18It's a. Really long practice.
- 0:19Takes a long time and today I was finalizing said notes.
- 0:26And he spent weeks on. Week remember weeks honestly, at
- 0:29this point, I think it it might have been like at least a month
- 0:31yeah. So that's minimum.
- 0:34So I am I'm finalizing doing the last minute touches.
- 0:38I'm I'm adding fonts. At this point I'm just like, you
- 0:41know, changing some titles to like.
- 0:42The time details just little details.
- 0:44What does my notes decide to do? Disappear.
- 0:47How? I have no idea.
- 0:50I tried like going to my recently deleted, not nowhere to
- 0:53be found. So I had to redo all of my notes
- 0:57in 30 minutes. Yeah, less so.
- 1:01That was fun. And then right now I'm like
- 1:04flustered because I tried to get some coffee and then I tried to
- 1:07sit down. I put one of the legs on the the
- 1:10wing. Scale.
- 1:11I have like a yeah, a random like scale just in the corner of
- 1:14my room. Jerry decides to sit on it.
- 1:16I sat on the little corner and like it.
- 1:18Just like Won't and I fell off and now we're here.
- 1:22Now you're here. Yeah, now you're here.
- 1:24You're here with us. You're here sitting in our room
- 1:27while we record the Daily BJ. BJ Podcast, Oh my God with your
- 1:34hosts Brian and Jerry in. Case you forgot.
- 1:42They're like, wait. They're like, that's what I've
- 1:44been listening to. This whole time Brandon and
- 1:45Jeremiah see it doesn't work. It doesn't work.
- 1:50It's. Not Bryce and Jedediah.
- 1:51Exactly, exactly. It doesn't.
- 1:53It just doesn't work. It doesn't sound as Brian and
- 1:55Jerry. Your name's not even Jerry.
- 1:57It's not even doesn't even start with AJ.
- 2:00Or does it? I don't know.
- 2:02I've never seen his license. Actually.
- 2:04It did see your license or the weekend we had a little BBQ at
- 2:09our friend Lizette's house, so we had all our friends there.
- 2:11We were reuniting. I.
- 2:11Left my wallet on. The table, we were playing with
- 2:14water balloons and we were doing like a dodgeball fight.
- 2:17And I got out pretty early. I got smacked with a water
- 2:19bottle. I'm like la, la, la, la.
- 2:21I'm gonna go water bottle, drinks.
- 2:23I mean not water bottle, water balloon.
- 2:25Who's throwing water bottles? First of all, hold up.
- 2:30And I'm walking around, gonna go get my drink and see a wallet
- 2:34just sitting there. And I'm like, who's this?
- 2:36And I open it to see who's it is.
- 2:38And there it is. You know, ID.
- 2:40Yeah, he looks so young. I do 21.
- 2:43I think it was like 21 or 22 right there.
- 2:45That's better than mine. I just pierced my ears, so I
- 2:47have the little studs. So I was like, I got, I think I
- 2:49got this for my 21st birthday. Wow.
- 2:51Yeah, growing up. My picture is of me at 18 years
- 2:56old so mine is a stark difference now and I see the
- 2:59hesitation sometimes when they when I give them my ID they do a
- 3:03huh, He has a beard now. He's a little thick.
- 3:06Can I see it? Yeah, it's actually conveniently
- 3:10enough, my ID's just, my wallet's just there.
- 3:13Condoms. Yep.
- 3:14Yep. No, you can't keep those in your
- 3:15wallet. If you do that, please get rid
- 3:18of it. It's probably all nasty now.
- 3:20I'll. Tell you this this 18 year old
- 3:22Brian do. We even have glasses.
- 3:24There no glasses. I see.
- 3:27I see it like I totally see it. Your hair's a little longer.
- 3:29Obviously you have no beard, no glasses.
- 3:32You look like a kid. You look like a child.
- 3:34I. Was.
- 3:35You look like a sophisticated man.
- 3:37Now I. Do I think I was freshly like 18
- 3:39in that photo? I think I had turned 18 and got
- 3:41my license like within the month.
- 3:43The amount of face facial hair you have in this picture is
- 3:45equivalent to me at 27 that can't grow facial hair.
- 3:52It's OK one day, me ho, one day. It's not for everyone, but
- 3:56anyways, how you doing? How you guys doing?
- 4:00Welcome back. Welcome back.
- 4:02Hope you guys loved last week's episode.
- 4:04I did. I was thinking about it again
- 4:06today. Loved that episode.
- 4:08The tarot card at the end, Jerry, like, right.
- 4:10Even thinking about it today, my jaw dropped.
- 4:13I was doing research because I'm like, what are the chances?
- 4:16It's like 1 in 70 something. Yep, I saw that as soon as I got
- 4:20home and I forgot about that. But Yep, that's so hard to do.
- 4:23One in 72 chances of picking up the same card and I fumble it
- 4:27when I tried to pick it out. I didn't like grab it in like
- 4:29automatic. No, I was.
- 4:30Like you struggle? To pull it and I was like and
- 4:31then I ended up pulling that one.
- 4:33Crazy crazy. If y'all didn't like it,
- 4:37honestly we loved it so does not matter.
- 4:39I'm just kidding. It's my favorite.
- 4:41Episode so far it is. Until now.
- 4:44Until now. Because we have we have some
- 4:47surprises for you guys in the future.
- 4:49We have something different. Yes.
- 4:52Not this episode. Maybe the next one, maybe the
- 4:55next one. We are man of our word.
- 5:00If we say we're going to try something, we are going to
- 5:02commit. Are these men in the room with
- 5:04us? I think 1 is you can speak for
- 5:08yourself. Actually you're the one married.
- 5:11You know about commitment, you got that lifelong commitment.
- 5:17But just just keep your keep your ears peeled and maybe your
- 5:24eyes. You know, you know that one
- 5:29trick where like you lick your finger and then you put it up to
- 5:31the air? What does that teach you?
- 5:33It's just like where wind direction is going to or where
- 5:35it's coming from. It might be blowing from the
- 5:38east, from the oceans, the. Oceans to the West.
- 5:42Oh, wait. Or is it?
- 5:45Oh yes, that's in the West. Dang it, Dang it.
- 5:49It's OK. Just just sit down, relax, feel
- 5:51that sea breeze. See what's in store?
- 5:56Yeah, just wait and see. We just need you to hop aboard
- 6:00and join us on a journey that we had recently.
- 6:08There once was a man who didn't see the name was an ALTE.
- 6:13Thank you. Anyways, in order to prep for
- 6:17that, we're going to come at you today with some more
- 6:21supernatural information. Let's deep dive into two
- 6:29specific realms of the paranormal.
- 6:34Like TV that. Paranormal like TV, that
- 6:36paranormal way better. Translates correctly.
- 6:39No, it has to and it sounds way better than Paranormal Activity.
- 6:43Yeah, for some reason we've been on a ghost kick.
- 6:47There's something about a gooey, spooky feeling that sends
- 6:54shivers down your spine, and I just.
- 6:56OK, nevermind, that's for later. Oh yeah, something else that
- 6:59just came up right now. OK, I'm excited.
- 7:03I got a feeling that tonight's going to be a good night.
- 7:06I hope it. Is tonight's going to be Nope.
- 7:10Copyright. Just kidding.
- 7:12So this week we want to talk about different kinds of ghostly
- 7:16experiences. But first I would like to
- 7:18preface or ask, have you ever had a experience like any kind
- 7:24of ghost experience? That feeling I just had right
- 7:28now is for this. So yes, I have.
- 7:30OK, I'm glad I asked so I knew. 2nd.
- 7:32I have two you have. 2 ghost stories Jerry we've known each
- 7:36other this long and you've never.
- 7:37I've told you both of them. Oh, oh, wow, Brian, matter of
- 7:42fact here. I want Brian to tell me the
- 7:44experiences that I've relayed in the past.
- 7:47Well, the first one was when Jerry was 11 years old, living.
- 7:55No, he might have been 12 or 13 and he was living in Tijuana
- 7:58and. I'm.
- 8:02Sorry, Fred, I don't. Remember, no, no, just kidding.
- 8:04I'm just kidding. It's fine.
- 8:06So the, the moment I just had it right now was because I
- 8:08experienced one like 2-3 years ago that like, well, to this day
- 8:12I like, I, I forgot about it. So right now I was like, wow,
- 8:15I've been thinking about it this whole time of an experience that
- 8:18I've had and I just remembered that one.
- 8:19But for I'm going to tell you the one that I experienced as a
- 8:21kid. Oh, that's always scarier.
- 8:23I think I want to say I was around like 1011 because I was
- 8:27like of the older siblings, cousins, but then there was
- 8:31still like 2-3 of them that were older than I was and then 2/3.
- 8:34That were I remember the story, it came back to me.
- 8:37Does it have to do with Emmanuel's house?
- 8:39My grandma's house. Oh, OK, yeah.
- 8:41So we, you know, my, my grandma, my Tia, my Tia, They, they were
- 8:46the like, I guess one of the first ones that like moved out
- 8:48to like Rialto, the middle of fucking nowhere in those suburbs
- 8:51out there. And, you know, we were kids.
- 8:53So we when we'd come up to our like monthly, it was a.
- 8:57It was a spend of the night, it was.
- 8:58A yeah, all the way over there in Rialto, which is like.
- 9:00That is my grandma. San Bernardino, first of all,
- 9:02not LA, but we would go all the way over there.
- 9:04And I remember driving out there, it's pitch black, 'cause
- 9:06there's only like Suburbans there, suburbs there, suburbs
- 9:09there. And then just like long streets
- 9:11with like 1 like lamppost here. One over there every other mile.
- 9:15Dark as hell, but anyways, so we'd get there. two-story house,
- 9:19like more than like four or five bedrooms in the mansion.
- 9:23Yeah, it was one of those like sick houses with a pool in the.
- 9:26Back that land. Great.
- 9:29So during parties, during weekends, we'd have parties, a
- 9:32lot of us, a lot of the cousins would sleep over.
- 9:35We'd play throughout the throughout the day, throughout
- 9:36the night, whatever. So one of those like just
- 9:38memories, childhood memories. I don't remember half of this
- 9:42story, but there is multiple sources AKA my cousins that
- 9:46confirm that it was me. It's all coming back to me now
- 9:51because. I've told you this.
- 9:51Time I remember. Myself, it's probably my brother
- 9:56Al and I, my cousin Brenda, cousin Sydney, like just a bunch
- 10:00of my cousins were playing hide and go seek.
- 10:01And this is a house where like the house was like there was no
- 10:05off limits, you know, as long as it was inside the house, you
- 10:07could hide anywhere. I remember like I was hiding and
- 10:11then Brenda specifically was hiding like like under the
- 10:16table, but on the chairs where you're laying on, on a bunch of
- 10:18chairs and like they're all scooted in and stuff.
- 10:20So you're like good hiding spot, great hiding spot, whatever.
- 10:22We're all hiding and stuff. And at this point, I think I was
- 10:25found already. So I was just like chilling, not
- 10:27telling whoever was like searching where people were at.
- 10:31And then I hear like, like Brenda, like I saw you like you
- 10:34can come out like I saw you upstairs.
- 10:37And they're like, what? Like, and they're like, come on,
- 10:39like we found you just come down.
- 10:42And then we hear Brenda from this, from the from should I be
- 10:47saying names? I can't.
- 10:49I can't. I can believe them if you want.
- 10:52So then my cousin comes out and she's like, I'm right here.
- 10:55What do you mean? And then like just I remember my
- 10:58cousins. I don't know if it was someone,
- 11:00but like just stone faced her like whoa, like I just saw
- 11:04someone like run. Like I thought it was you creepy
- 11:07house, the garage super fucking cold.
- 11:11The room right next to the garage super fucking cold all
- 11:13the time. I figured it was because the AC
- 11:15was on or something, but I mean central AC and like those two
- 11:19places, like or the coldest places and nowhere else.
- 11:21Like it doesn't make sense, doesn't make sense.
- 11:23And like sure, it can get cold in the garage, but like no,
- 11:25things are insulated. Like it wouldn't get that
- 11:26fucking cold. This room was cold as fuck
- 11:28anyways. So we're like what the fuck?
- 11:31So then who was up there? And at this point everyone comes
- 11:33out and we're like no, what the hell.
- 11:34Like we're all here, like who's up there?
- 11:36And we're like to this day, multiple like of my cousins
- 11:40swear that I went up and I do remember going up, but I don't
- 11:43remember I, I remember going up the stairs to check.
- 11:45I'm like, oh, I'll, I'll go. And I went, I don't remember
- 11:48like the top of the stairs down the hallway.
- 11:50I don't remember any of that. They said, they said that I went
- 11:54up and I went to the hallway and I went like into the hallways
- 11:57where you can't see me anymore. And then I just come back saying
- 11:59like, no, there's no one here. I don't remember any of that
- 12:01shit, but I come down and to this day that freaks me out
- 12:06'cause I'm like, you know, like those movies were like a fucking
- 12:09shadow figure attacks you, then you lose consciousness and you
- 12:12wake up. And that's what I like.
- 12:13That's what it feels like to me. And I'm like, no, that didn't
- 12:15happen. But creepy, creepy stuff.
- 12:17Like if you were to see this house and like, it was really
- 12:20nice. It was like one of the modern
- 12:21ones and stuff, but still. Creepy.
- 12:23So wait, so who? I'm not blipping out names.
- 12:25There's too many. Yeah, Don't.
- 12:26Who saw the shadow where they thought it was your other?
- 12:28I want to say it was either like Adonai or like our cousin Eric
- 12:34or. Or and that's why you went
- 12:35upstairs, because they swore someone went running, they said.
- 12:37Someone pat like ran past and they thought it was Brenda
- 12:41'cause I guess it was like a girl or something.
- 12:43Haunted scary girls. Yeah, so there was that one that
- 12:48was like my first one where I'm like, damn, that that story
- 12:50we're being reminded by like my cousins stuff like it freaks me
- 12:53out a little bit. But two years ago, 2-3 years
- 12:56ago, I wasn't, I was working at, at A, at a school or middle
- 13:00school and it was elementary school, but I was on the middle
- 13:03school side at the end of my shift, you know, I'm closing up
- 13:08at 6:30. It was one of like the early
- 13:09dark days. So like by 6 it's already like
- 13:11really like. So like in the winter, like in
- 13:13the middle? Of winter exactly.
- 13:15So I have to go check the classrooms because like you, you
- 13:17know, you tell your teachers to lock them up and stuff at the
- 13:19end of the day and this is after school program so you just got
- 13:22to do it. You just got to do yourself.
- 13:23Sometimes you're like, you know what I'd rather be safe than
- 13:25sorry. So I'm going, I'm going around
- 13:29and I'm like damn, like I should go check this classroom just
- 13:32because like I, I, it's all the way in the corner.
- 13:34It's. You so you had a feeling like
- 13:36something pulled you. Something told me go check the
- 13:38classroom. It's like all the way in the
- 13:40back. But yeah, like just cool.
- 13:44I'm like I'm just going to go and get over with.
- 13:45I'll go back straight shot to my office.
- 13:48I go and I'm passing through the classrooms.
- 13:53There's like a gate to open it. So you have to go get through
- 13:55the gate, start passing through the hallway of classrooms, and I
- 13:59swear to God I like I on the way passing one of the middle
- 14:02classrooms I heard laughing. No.
- 14:05And then like, I kind of like, I didn't stop to look at the door,
- 14:08but I just stopped to look around because, like bordering
- 14:11those classrooms is like that fence with like that green mesh
- 14:14that covers so you can't see on the inside of the playground.
- 14:16OK. Yeah.
- 14:17So like there's got to be some kids, like right on the other
- 14:19side that I can't see because it's dark.
- 14:21Whatever. I just kept walking.
- 14:22I go, I checked clock classrooms locked.
- 14:25I turn around and I just get that feeling of like, but did I
- 14:28hear something like maybe from the classroom?
- 14:31And I walk and I'm approaching the door and I'm super
- 14:34conscious, like I'm like just listening intently and what the
- 14:38fuck do I hear from the classroom kid laughing?
- 14:42It is like there's no one else on campus besides like maybe me,
- 14:46the custodians and the night custodians and like, I don't
- 14:49know, maybe a teacher that stayed late, but like they're
- 14:51never there at that time. I fucking clear as they heard
- 14:55laughing kid laughing and I just like I like straight never
- 15:02didn't even look. I didn't acknowledge it.
- 15:04I just kept going. I did say like as I was like
- 15:07walking past the gate. I'm like I do not accept
- 15:09anything. I do not walk up anything into
- 15:12my life. Like whatever is there, I
- 15:13acknowledge you, but like stay, do not bother me.
- 15:19I think I called Dulce right away and I told her I'm like,
- 15:21and it was like that spine show. Do you like shivers?
- 15:24Like no fucking way. This Like I just heard that.
- 15:26And like there's no one. There's those classrooms are
- 15:28empty and there is no one outside of the fence 'cause I
- 15:32heard it from the classroom and I just fucking went to my office
- 15:36and I think my assistant was there.
- 15:37So like I told her I'm like, dude, like I was freaked out and
- 15:40I'm like, dude, I just heard something back there like I'm
- 15:42going home. Like I'm going home, I'm locking
- 15:45up, I'm going home. And it's having mental distress.
- 15:47Like, I'm done. I'm clocked out, dude.
- 15:49Yeah, So that was, I think, like the one that I remember.
- 15:53Wow I I forgot about it till right now but I remember.
- 15:56That one vividly. Children ghosts are terrifying.
- 16:00One thing is an adult. Adult ghost.
- 16:02Yeah. You know what?
- 16:03That's fine. Like you were an adult.
- 16:04You died. Probably an old person, but for
- 16:07it to be a child at a school. Yeah.
- 16:10OK. We're not going to talk about
- 16:11like where you worked, but afterwards we need to do some
- 16:12research. So like who died there?
- 16:14There is OK. So there's a confirmed, there's
- 16:16a memorial in that in that playground, there's a little
- 16:19there's a there's a mural. I mean, this is like all schools
- 16:21in in America. But from what I know it was a
- 16:25confirmed like passing outside of the school.
- 16:29Like in the community or not Just like literally in that
- 16:32area, like on the grounds of that school.
- 16:33Correct. That's that was what was like
- 16:35confirmed to me. I, I don't, I've never done the
- 16:37research, but there is a mural in that playground area where
- 16:42they're remembering a certain, you know, students and stuff.
- 16:44But this was like years ago and I.
- 16:46Wonder if like, yeah, someone doesn't pass in that specific
- 16:51area. If like a memorial, withdraw
- 16:53them. They like their energy and
- 16:54stuff. Especially if people go to mourn
- 16:56them. I feel like you're putting in a
- 16:58lot of energy into the universe when you're there to like,
- 17:00remember someone. Yeah.
- 17:01And it can be both like positive and negative or just like, you
- 17:04know, that mixed troubled feeling.
- 17:05And so, so I can see how that can like maybe call yeah,
- 17:08towards like some sort of energy, yeah.
- 17:12Thank for that's scary. I don't know how I would have.
- 17:15Dude, I just remembering right now, it does like kind of like
- 17:19it gets me, yeah. It gives me the heebie jeebies.
- 17:21It's it's a trip. It's it's crazy.
- 17:24That's scary of him. Also, I'm a little jealous.
- 17:27Remember last time when we were talking about like, I, I want to
- 17:29experience something and you were saying that you wanted, I
- 17:31was like, Nope, I don't. You're like, I've already been
- 17:34there. I've already been.
- 17:35There and it totally like it just crossed it off my mind.
- 17:37I was like Nope. Well, it's happened to me.
- 17:40I'm open, don't want anything to follow me home.
- 17:43Luckily nothing here has been scary or sketchy.
- 17:47I don't have like a personal like super scary story.
- 17:53There was a house that I lived in like my teen years that like
- 18:01my family has experienced stuff. So I'll, I will share that there
- 18:05was one weird thing that did happen to me in my room.
- 18:09I used to have like I had my own room.
- 18:13I had like my bed in a corner and then on the opposite wall I
- 18:17had a little desk and a shelf right on top of it.
- 18:21And I had so many little Knick knacks.
- 18:23I had like my books up there. I had a little minion doll and I
- 18:27was there in my room, like I think I was like standing like
- 18:30on my phone or something. And the minion doll comes flying
- 18:38and I sat there like no freaking way.
- 18:41Like I'm there trying to debunk like what just happened.
- 18:44Like I'm putting it back on the bookshelf like knocking it over
- 18:48slightly seeing where it goes but if it knocks over it bounces
- 18:51off the desk and I have eye line of the desk even in my
- 18:55peripherals that I would have seen it hit.
- 18:57But no dude this thing completely passes the desk and
- 19:00lands in the middle of the room. That was the only thing I
- 19:04experienced there. Whose house was this again?
- 19:06This is. Our house like oh OK, this is
- 19:08when I lived in Chino. Wow.
- 19:10My brother had this very scary story that he told my mom.
- 19:16So I think I heard this either from my mom or both of them
- 19:18together. But my mom, I think it was my
- 19:22mom who told me, but she said that my brother would complain
- 19:28about a little boy who would turn his TV on at night because
- 19:36he I guess he would wake up and the TV would be on with static.
- 19:40And he said, no there there's a little boy that turns on my TV
- 19:45At that point. I don't think my brother had the
- 19:46cable or anything in his room to, to be watching TVI think we
- 19:50did have like a PlayStation or something in there.
- 19:53Hey, he could have been playing PlayStation until like who knows
- 19:56what time. But he swears that he would wake
- 19:57up to see a little boy pressing the buttons on his TV to turn
- 20:00them on. It was you.
- 20:02It was not me. No dude, when I used to go to
- 20:04bed I used to lock my door. I said do not disturb me.
- 20:06Yeah, yeah. I'm sleeping.
- 20:08Do not come until the next morning.
- 20:10Yeah, and my mom would have pound on the door, 'cause I'm
- 20:12fully knocked out like me. You have to go to school.
- 20:16Yeah, at least that day. You're like, no.
- 20:18Money and I'm like. It is not time yet.
- 20:21And I'd go to school literally like a zombie.
- 20:24Anyways, that's what he experienced.
- 20:27That's crazy. This was this was also a pretty
- 20:29big house. We had like 4 rooms.
- 20:32My parents had the main bedroom and it was huge.
- 20:34But there was also an office when we moved in that used to be
- 20:39a room that the prior owner just took, added double doors, got
- 20:43rid of the closet doors made at their office with like built in
- 20:46shelves and stuff. Well, my dad was like, now we're
- 20:50going to rent that room out. So they patched it up, replace
- 20:53the the doors. And so we were renting out to I
- 20:57think they were cousins. These two guys, they were
- 20:59cousins. They're really cool.
- 21:01One of them got really close to my dad, but one of them, Oh no,
- 21:08it wasn't them. No, before them, we had rented
- 21:12it out to this guy who had a, a son who was also like a man in
- 21:15my brother's age. I think we went to middle school
- 21:17with him, but he was telling my mom one time that he he worked
- 21:23really crazy hours. So sometimes you'd be getting
- 21:25home, like really late at night. Yeah.
- 21:27And he said that one night he came in at like 11 or something.
- 21:31And as he was, as he went into the front door.
- 21:35So when you open the door, there was a hallway that took you
- 21:38visually. You can see all the way to the
- 21:39back door where there was also the living room.
- 21:43And if you go straight ahead, there was a couch.
- 21:45OK. And the couch was facing a while
- 21:47you can't see, but he walked in and he said he saw someone like
- 21:51laying on the couch. So he thought it was I think he
- 21:55said either my mom or my dad and that he was going to walk up to
- 21:59to say, oh, Buenos noches, senora.
- 22:01But he walked up disappeared. There was nothing there but that
- 22:06he saw the the like the shadows of someone.
- 22:09Yeah, laying on like. Laying on not laying on the
- 22:11couch but like leaning on the on the the armrest.
- 22:14But. That it wasn't him.
- 22:18Shit my pants on the spot. Yeah, if it's dark, it's night
- 22:21time, like we didn't leave any lights on and.
- 22:24Then it seemed like a shadow, like just like the.
- 22:26You get closer and it's gone. No, I am, Yeah, I am defecating
- 22:31in my pants on the spot. Yep, like I said, I never
- 22:35experienced anything else like that up until now.
- 22:39I don't think I've ever witnessed that.
- 22:42I can share that. I can share as of now, nothing.
- 22:45I've really been like, well, what was that?
- 22:48I don't know. Maybe we'll come back and I'll
- 22:50have more stories. Maybe.
- 22:52Maybe. But Yep, that's it.
- 22:55Wow. I feel like there's been other
- 22:58things that like are in my mind, but I don't recall them being.
- 23:03Real there. Was one time I do remember being
- 23:06in in Mexico. We went to go visit family and I
- 23:09remember staying in the Rancho somewhere and I remember I think
- 23:13I was told the story of the Yarona that night, which is
- 23:16probably why I couldn't sleep. And I was so terrified thinking
- 23:18something was going to happen. But that sticks out in my mind.
- 23:22Yeah, there is. There is like stories that I
- 23:26remember that my cousins used to tell me in Mexico and like this
- 23:29one time we drove out like far I was like I was like vacationing
- 23:32there for like 2-3 weeks at a time.
- 23:33So I would go and I was younger I was like 10910 eleven.
- 23:39My cousins were like 16/17/18. So we went on this trip we had
- 23:43to take all the Carteras to get to this like beach took hours.
- 23:46It was like a 3-4 hours a day and we had just watched scary
- 23:50movies the night before and like scary movie.
- 23:52Like to me as a kid, watching Mexican scary movies were like
- 23:5610 times more frightening than watching.
- 23:57More scary in Spanish. Everything is worse.
- 23:59And I remember they would watch me and they would taught me.
- 24:02They'd be like, oh, do you understand what they're saying?
- 24:03I'm like, yes. And they're like, so you know
- 24:06what can happen here, right? And I'm like, bruh.
- 24:08And then there is this movie that we watched.
- 24:10It was like Kilometro. Like why were they egging you?
- 24:13On dude they were dude my cousin like cousin their Dick
- 24:15sometimes, but I remember the movie was like kilometros like
- 24:19Satan Tayuno. I forget what kilometer was, but
- 24:22and it's a certain like part of the of the road that someone
- 24:25died and that they appear. We were like driving what Like
- 24:28in real life, we were driving to the beach or whatever and we
- 24:31were taking the Alto Pista and kilometros are shown like every
- 24:35so often. We were coming up on that
- 24:37kilometro number and he was like, do you remember the movie
- 24:39look? We were like on 2/3, dude.
- 24:42They were assholes. But yeah, I remember they that
- 24:46they that freaked me out. And it was dark.
- 24:48It was night. Like I remember like closing my
- 24:50eyes in the car just like Nope. Nope, they wanted to give you
- 24:53trauma. Yeah, but what good, good stuff?
- 24:56As you were telling that story, something came back to me,
- 24:59actually. Coming back to me now.
- 25:05I don't know why my mind went there, but you started talking
- 25:07about family in like Spanish in Mexico.
- 25:09And I had the strongest image of my grandpa 'cause apparently,
- 25:16honestly, I kind of remember this 'cause I can see the visual
- 25:18in my mind. But my grandpa passed when I
- 25:21think I was two or three. And I remember the funeral.
- 25:26I remember going to the funeral OK.
- 25:29And I, my mom says that I had not that day, but later, like
- 25:38later on, that I had told her that I had seen him at the
- 25:41cemetery, that he was there standing under a tree.
- 25:44And by my grandpa's plot at the cemetery, the way you get down
- 25:49or we know how to get down there is because there's a very
- 25:51specific tree, like a big pine tree.
- 25:54And that's the tree I remember him standing under.
- 25:58And he, my mom says that he, that I told her that he said he
- 26:04wanted us to bring him a lot of flowers.
- 26:07I'm three years old. I, I don't understand what the,
- 26:12the idea of bringing flowers to a grave at that point.
- 26:15I think my grandma had died before I was born and that was
- 26:17the only person I think we would have gone to the cemetery for.
- 26:21But why would that have stuck in my head where I knew, OK, now
- 26:24it's time for my grandpa. But she says I had the the the
- 26:27image or I that I saw him and I can, I can kind of envision it
- 26:31now if I think about it like I see that.
- 26:34The tree. The tree, him standing there in
- 26:36a grey suit. He's wearing a grey suit and I
- 26:39think he has, Is that a cowboy hat?
- 26:43Either a white or brown cowboy hat.
- 26:45Wow. I don't remember, but I I guess
- 26:51I spoke to the dead maybe when I was young.
- 26:55I mean, being a kid, having that pureness in you and stuff and
- 26:58like, I mean. It has to be a thing.
- 27:01Yeah, I just saw a TikTok that I bookmarked of this girl telling
- 27:04her mom that, oh, your dad is here and he wants to talk to
- 27:07you. Her, her like her grandpa, the
- 27:11girl's her mom's dad passed like he's, he's, he's dead.
- 27:15And she's like, oh, you the mom's telling her oh, like your
- 27:19dad, your dad is here. And she's like, no, your dad,
- 27:22this girl barely talks and she's like, oh, where is he?
- 27:26He's here. Takes her to the freaking closet
- 27:29and points at just a dark closet of pointing like up towards the
- 27:35ceiling. The comments are so funny.
- 27:36They're like, girl, you're so brave for opening that closet,
- 27:40you know, No. Fear.
- 27:42That's yeah, that's crazy. That's.
- 27:45That type of ghost I'm into, if it's like a family member coming
- 27:49from the other side that wants to make themselves known.
- 27:52Say hi, send you a message. Love that.
- 27:55But also like, not from a creepy like addict or closet, no.
- 27:58Please just or at the foot of my bed while I'm sleeping.
- 28:01Yeah, No, I want to know about like, like huntings that are
- 28:05like residual. Yeah.
- 28:11Yeah, only someone happened to know about residual huntings.
- 28:13Wait, sorry, did you say residual or?
- 28:15I said residual. No, I said residual.
- 28:17You said residual. Oh OK, sorry.
- 28:19I happen to have some stuff on residual huntings.
- 28:22Oh really? Tell me more.
- 28:23Yeah, this and you know, I think it correlates to a lot of what
- 28:27we said, which is kind of funny. I just this happened so sudden
- 28:31wow, I didn't prepare for this. It's.
- 28:33Not like you spent months. No, I didn't spend months.
- 28:35Yeah, or or months and then having to redo everything. 30
- 28:38minutes. 30 minutes, 3030 Residual hauntings There's a lot
- 28:45of good sources on residual hauntings.
- 28:47These are like. If you haven't heard of them,
- 28:50you're about to So great source. Like I love the stuff on here.
- 28:56I'm going to keep deep diving haunted Orange County haunted
- 28:59OC. I've heard of that.
- 29:00Great great fucking like resource.
- 29:03Research it up guys. So, per their website, a
- 29:07residual haunting are believed to occur when intense emotional
- 29:12energy, whether traumatic or joyful, is released into the
- 29:16environment. Events such as violent crimes or
- 29:19overwhelming distress may leave behind a kind of an energetic
- 29:23imprint on a location. Sorry.
- 29:27Much like a recording, these imprints can then relay the same
- 29:30scenes or sounds repeatedly, independent of the present
- 29:33moment, like a tape recorder. You know, they're just these.
- 29:36Images like specifically with like battlefields.
- 29:40Yep, that's a. That's a great example, Ryan.
- 29:43We'll get to that. So, unlike intelligent
- 29:46hauntings, there is no awareness or interaction from the entities
- 29:48involved in the residual hauntings.
- 29:50They are not conscious spirits, but rather echoes of the past.
- 29:55Interestingly, residual hauntings can also stem from
- 29:57positive events. People have reported hearing
- 30:00distant music, laughter or sounds of celebration, only to
- 30:04find an empty room where the activity seemed to be coming
- 30:06from. In some cases, even the
- 30:09impressions of the living may leave behind such energetic
- 30:13traces. So let's do some deep diving on
- 30:18something called the Stone Tape theory.
- 30:21This is a theory that's backing up these hauntings.
- 30:25So of course I'm throwing Reddit out there.
- 30:27There's so many cool people on Reddit.
- 30:29So in a Reddit article there. The Stone Tape theory is a
- 30:33paranormal hypothesis that suggests that emotional or
- 30:36traumatic events can be recorded as energy imprints on physical
- 30:40materials, especially stone, and then relayed under certain same
- 30:44conditions. It proposes that these imprints,
- 30:47similar to recordings on a magnetic tape, can be
- 30:50experienced as residual hauntings.
- 30:52These hauntings are characterized by the repetition
- 30:54of past events or the presence of figures seemingly unaware of
- 30:58the living. So I think an example would be
- 31:01like seeing a lady in like a white dress, like a old timey
- 31:04dress, or like someone in a very dapper fit suit, you know, in a
- 31:09hallway that disappears into the wall, things like that.
- 31:11They're. None the wiser.
- 31:12They're still just. Yes, they're appearing.
- 31:14They're just in that loop. They're not looking at you,
- 31:16they're not making contact with you.
- 31:17It's just like a loop, a recording of some sort.
- 31:21There was a capstone project I read.
- 31:23Did their research on this for a good project and it like it did
- 31:26say like it. Wasn't peer reviewed or
- 31:27anything, but there was like a methodology and so there was a
- 31:30lot of really like in depth research that went into this.
- 31:34It's from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, I
- 31:38believe her last name was Danielson.
- 31:40I forget the first name, but it's called GIS to analyze
- 31:44relationships to explore paranormal occurrences in the
- 31:47continental United States. GIS is like the geological, some
- 31:52sort of like mapping institute of science.
- 31:54I don't. Know I I forget I had it written
- 31:55but. That's part of the information I
- 31:56lost and I did not depive into like, pulling that up again.
- 31:59Sorry, not sorry. So in this, you know, in this
- 32:03paper, she theorizes that intense emotional experiences,
- 32:08especially traumatic ones, release energy that can be
- 32:11absorbed and stored by certain materials, particularly stone
- 32:15and other crystalline substances.
- 32:17So now we get into like the stones, crystals, why certain
- 32:20crystals, like have a deep energetic characteristic about
- 32:24them that can be used for like portals for like, re energizing
- 32:28or, you know, XYZ friend, she was here last week.
- 32:31Listen to that. I put yeah, yeah.
- 32:32She's talking about crystals and crystals and stones.
- 32:34And what they do. Wait.
- 32:36Pause. So this this so far has been two
- 32:38different people talking about stuff being recorded in stone,
- 32:41correct? Well, so the stone.
- 32:43Tape theory was popularized by the 1972 BBC film The Stone
- 32:48Tape, often linked to the concept of place memory, or the
- 32:52idea that certain locations hold the echoes of past events.
- 32:57It's not scientifically proven, it remains a popular concept in
- 33:00paranormal investigations and discussions, and it offers a
- 33:04possible explanation for residual hauntings.
- 33:06So that's why it's linked. The big thing was just like the
- 33:10emotions behind a certain event. So let's give you some examples.
- 33:14I'm sorry, you mentioned like a battlefield.
- 33:16Yeah, that's where I've heard of it.
- 33:17So you've heard of the Gettysburg?
- 33:19Battle, the battle at Gettysburg, Confederates, all
- 33:21that good stuff. All that bad stuff, I mean.
- 33:24So it's known for reports of residual hauntings, where events
- 33:27of the past are believed to play out as ghostly echoes or
- 33:30recordings in the environment. These hauntings manifest as
- 33:33sounds like moaning footsteps, gunfire, visual phenomena like
- 33:38apparitions of soldiers, shadowy figures and and glowing horses.
- 33:43The intensity of these residual hauntings is thought to be
- 33:45linked to the immense loss of life and trauma experienced
- 33:48during the Battle of Gettysburg, which has left which has left a
- 33:51lasting imprint on the battlefield and surrounding
- 33:54areas. So some specific locations the
- 33:57Gettysburg battlefield visitors report hearing phantom drums,
- 34:00distant musket fire, and the sounds of marching soldiers.
- 34:03Some have seen ghostly regiments, including the phantom
- 34:06regiment marching in tattered uniforms.
- 34:09I think there's videos on YouTube where like you can see
- 34:12through the trees, through the shrubs, like marching, and there
- 34:16is reenactments that happened at these famous battlegrounds and
- 34:20stuff. But like, you can see them also
- 34:22disappearing. Like there is no continuation of
- 34:24it. There is no people.
- 34:24Like, yeah, it could be doctored.
- 34:27It could be fake, but I've seen it.
- 34:29Most recently I was like, OK, what are some sites around here?
- 34:31You know, what is something not, not like nowhere too far for me
- 34:36to give an example of. And I pulled up the Queen Mary.
- 34:41It's known as one of the most haunted places in the United
- 34:43States. And there was an article from
- 34:48the haunted history.com. She gives a great in detail
- 34:52example of a residual haunting that is widely known in the
- 34:58Queen on the Queen Mary. Is it the lady in white?
- 35:00It's. Not the lady in white, it's.
- 35:02Actually, an officer by the name of William E Stark.
- 35:06Oh, OK. Officer William E Stark.
- 35:10Guests and. Staff have reported.
- 35:11Seen a man in a Cunard officer's uniform?
- 35:16Cunard you decide. Walking the decks as if he is
- 35:21still carrying out some duties. Some claim he appears confused,
- 35:24still searching for something. What is he searching for?
- 35:28People have like reported seeing the stark badge on his on his
- 35:32chest. So this is the back story.
- 35:36This is a direct story from her website.
- 35:39I will be reading it right now. On the night of September 18th,
- 35:441949, Senior Second Officer Stark went to prepare drinks as
- 35:48Captain Andrew McKellar had invited two officers for a drink
- 35:53when they came off duty. Unable to find Jin, he asked
- 35:56Frederick Stokes, the Captain Steward, for help.
- 36:00In the dim lighting, Stokes searched A cupboard and
- 36:03eventually handed Stark a bottle.
- 36:06Unbeknownst to either of them, the bottle, though labeled as
- 36:09gin, had been repurposed to store carbon tetrachloride, a
- 36:14toxic cleaning solvent used for ship maintenance.
- 36:18I do have a picture of the possible cleaning solution that
- 36:21was used at the time, which is Carbona, who will post that on
- 36:25Instagram. Yeah.
- 36:26And there's 2 bottles. There's a real life.
- 36:27Bottle and then like the actual little the ad yeah.
- 36:31At 1945 PM, after completing his rounds, Stark met with Captain
- 36:35McKellar, made an off hand comment.
- 36:38That was funny gin, we had Sir at dinner time.
- 36:41Here, let me repeat that again. That was funny gin we had Sir at
- 36:45dinner time. But Keller?
- 36:47Realizing something was. Wrong.
- 36:49Questioned him further. It was only then that Stark
- 36:52understood what had happened. He had unknowingly mixed his
- 36:55drink with poison. Stark had only taken a couple of
- 36:58sips before realizing his mistake.
- 37:00However, rather than seeking immediate medical treatment, he
- 37:04dismissed the danger, reportedly treating the situation as rather
- 37:08a joke, or rather a joke. He later joined other officers
- 37:13in the chief's officer's cabin and had two actual gin and
- 37:16lines. Doctor John O'meara O'meara, the
- 37:21ship's assistant surgeon, urged Stark to have his stomach pumped
- 37:24immediately. Stark refused.
- 37:27Instead, he was advised to drink large amounts of lime juice and
- 37:30water to induce vomiting. He followed this advice but
- 37:33otherwise carried on as if nothing had happened.
- 37:37Of course I kept drinking. He was just whatever.
- 37:40He's add to that boy. I'm a man.
- 37:42Give me two shots, give me two more, give me two more, two more
- 37:45please. By the time the Queen Mary
- 37:46reached Southampton on September 20th, Stark's condition had
- 37:49worsened significantly. He was rushed to the Royal S
- 37:52Hans and Sand Southampton Hospital where his wife
- 37:56Margaret, a nurse, was able to speak with him.
- 37:59She told them, Bendejo, you should have got your fucking
- 38:01stomach pumped. She did not say that.
- 38:03She later told the coroner that she had asked her husband why he
- 38:06hadn't had his stomach pumped. His response?
- 38:09I did not think anything of it. Who's at this?
- 38:12The doctor or him? This was him, he didn't think.
- 38:15Anything of it. But he's he got medical advice.
- 38:19They told him to pump his stomach.
- 38:20Yeah. He didn't think anything of it.
- 38:22No, we're keeping the potty going.
- 38:23So. So despite.
- 38:25Treatment Stark succumbed to the carbon tetrachloride poisoning
- 38:28on September 23rd, 1949, two days before his 31st birthday.
- 38:32No, he was young at the. Inquest the deputy coroner.
- 38:36Michael Emanuel ruled his death an accident, calling it a most
- 38:40unfortunate sequence of events. Was it Doctor HH Gleave?
- 38:45Gleave Gleave, a pathologist, stated that if Stark had
- 38:48undergone his stomach wash immediately, he likely would
- 38:52have survived so. This goes back to a point you
- 38:57said earlier. Spaces that you know have a lot
- 39:01of meeting to a person, a memorial memorial that is not.
- 39:06The place where they died. But it holds that energy.
- 39:10We talked about this when we when.
- 39:12When I talked about the Knickerbocker Hotel, how what
- 39:15was his name? He had the freaking stroke
- 39:18underneath the chandelier with all the crystals.
- 39:21Crystals, and they're still. There.
- 39:24And people report seeing him. Many believe that a person must.
- 39:28Die in a location in order to hunt it.
- 39:30But that's not always true. It's possible that the spirit of
- 39:33Officer Stark remains aboard the Queen Mary because of his deep
- 39:36connection to the ship. Reports of William Stark's
- 39:39spirit linger aboard the Queen Mary, particularly near the
- 39:42captain's cabin, on the main dank deck, and along the
- 39:46promenade. Promenade.
- 39:49Promenade, sure. Some visitors.
- 39:51And crew members have claimed to see a figure in AQ Nerd
- 39:56officer's uniform in these areas, believed to be Stark,
- 39:58still making his rounds. Borosito, he's still working.
- 40:01I know even in death others have.
- 40:03Reported hearing unexplained. Choking sounds, which some
- 40:06attribute to Stark's tragic poisoning.
- 40:09It's not someone. Who's seasick?
- 40:10Just I know it, it's just over the side.
- 40:12Of the That's the boat that's got to be.
- 40:14Stocked it's I'm telling you that's.
- 40:15Officer Stark, he had one too many.
- 40:18So, yeah, so. That's a residual haunting
- 40:20that's reported on the Queen Mary that has like, I think they
- 40:24have his death on one of the plaques on board because he was
- 40:28such like a important member of the staff and everything.
- 40:31So the residual is him just. Doing his rounds, maybe.
- 40:34Maybe there was that connection? Maybe.
- 40:35Like as he was like on his way to the hospital, he was like,
- 40:37no, no, I got to I'll be fine. I got to go back to work because
- 40:40he just continued to do what he was doing right after the the
- 40:43poisoning. So I feel like also after do
- 40:46after ingesting someone, not being like conscious of like
- 40:50you're drinking poison and then be like, damn, this is a
- 40:52mistake. Like I shouldn't be dying Like I
- 40:53was just drinking gin or something, you know, I don't
- 40:56know, There's like you don't put too much emphasis on it.
- 40:57Yes. So who knows?
- 41:00That's wild, I've heard of that story.
- 41:01Excuse me? Yeah.
- 41:03Good story. Yeah, and I'm sure there's more.
- 41:06I'm sure there's like a bunch. But well, like I said earlier, I
- 41:09thought you were going to talk about the.
- 41:10Lady in white. I don't know if that's residual.
- 41:12We'd have to do some research. I I feel like it has to be
- 41:15residual just because. Reports saying that they.
- 41:18See a lady in like. This old white dress by the
- 41:20piano and everything, that's energy that's like that, you
- 41:24know, true ocean that's stuck there if it's still the same
- 41:27piano. And it is.
- 41:29It's original. It's the original piano from
- 41:32back then. Wow.
- 41:33I don't have the year, but yeah, that's an original piano.
- 41:36Interesting. And that's it.
- 41:39So some residual hauntings, Stone tape theory.
- 41:42I when I first heard the stone tape theory, I heard it from a
- 41:46podcast and that's why we drink Paranormal crime and mystery.
- 41:51Yeah, great podcast, murder mystery, all that good stuff.
- 41:55The hosts, amazing. They're both great.
- 41:57But that's where I first heard of the stone tape theory.
- 41:59And I'm like, that's crazy. Like that makes so much sense.
- 42:03So when I, you know, search sub residual hauntings and realize
- 42:07there's a that's the link. There's a link to it.
- 42:09I'm like, oh, this is great, this is perfect.
- 42:12So I'd rather residual hunting. Than what I researched, which is
- 42:16possession. We touched on this briefly,
- 42:19Yeah, in our episode, I think it was episode #6 or 7, the one
- 42:24where we talked about the casket girls and, and Annabelle the
- 42:27doll. Yeah.
- 42:29So possessions. Date back.
- 42:31To the time Jesus walked the earth.
- 42:33The Bible references multiple instances in which Jesus
- 42:37exercised said demons. But what differentiates A
- 42:40possession from haunting? On a previous episode, Jerry
- 42:44discussed the possession of Annabelle, the doll.
- 42:47A possession is when a demon takes over a host.
- 42:49In the Annabelle case it was a Raggedy Ann doll, but in other
- 42:52cases it's the taking over of a person.
- 42:55No thank you. I found.
- 42:57This very. Interesting article that was
- 43:00like in a medical journal. Interesting.
- 43:04The. Possibility of possession has a
- 43:07diagnosis. Oh, so it was on the National
- 43:11Library of medicine. It documents a case of a 21 year
- 43:15old woman who would display episodes of extraordinary
- 43:17strength, aggression and the sudden ability to speak a
- 43:21foreign language. These episodes.
- 43:24Would last up to 20 minutes. At a time her family took her to
- 43:27a psychiatrist after multiple failed attempts of faith-based
- 43:30healing. So they took her to their local
- 43:32church people and said something's wrong, she's
- 43:36haunted, what can we do? And I guess nothing, nothing
- 43:38worked. So they took her to the
- 43:40psychiatrist. However, she remained a
- 43:44diagnostic enigma. What the case?
- 43:48States the woman would have. Random bursts of anger.
- 43:52She would scream and verbally abuse her family.
- 43:55She broke furniture, developed extraordinary strength, and was
- 44:00able to fend off 5 people trying to hold her down.
- 44:04During these rage filled episodes, her family stated she
- 44:07would begin to speak in Arabic, a language she did not know how
- 44:10to speak previously. Her father, who had previously
- 44:14worked in an Arabic speaking country, was the one who noticed
- 44:18that she was suddenly speaking in Arabic.
- 44:19She's like, wait, I, I, I've heard of this.
- 44:21I've heard this before. He said that she was speaking
- 44:25entire sentences how and she was mostly cursing.
- 44:29The. Family out he he knew those he
- 44:31knew those words. He.
- 44:32Was like, I know the first words you learned in another language
- 44:34you're. Learning a new language?
- 44:35Gotta learn the curse. Words.
- 44:38The episodes. Occurred multiple times a week,
- 44:40with the patient having no recollection of the events when
- 44:42she would eventually come to. She had no prior history of
- 44:46psychiatric problems prior to the sudden onset of episodes.
- 44:51Her cognitive. Functions were well.
- 44:52Intact and testing revealed no abnormalities in her brain.
- 44:57Her diagnosis remained an enigma, and she was prescribed a
- 45:00medication often used to treat an array of mental illnesses.
- 45:03However, her episodes continue to occur.
- 45:07Unable to give an accurate diagnosis, the article leaves
- 45:11the reader wondering if possession can be diagnosable.
- 45:14The only thing that they thought was similar was maybe like a
- 45:19multiple personality type disorder.
- 45:21Yeah, but the medications that they were trying to give her to
- 45:24treat that did not make much of a difference.
- 45:28Do you know those? The side effects were the.
- 45:30Side effects I think they were. Like irritable imaginable.
- 45:33Yeah, I know the ability, said An.
- 45:34Onset of strength speaking. Foreign languages, especially
- 45:37curse words. No.
- 45:39Well, the they. Gave her the medicine in hopes
- 45:41that it would like calm down the episodes and I guess they're
- 45:44probably like some sort of like mood stabilizer or something to
- 45:48like block some sort of hormone. But I guess they still happen,
- 45:52just not as strong. Wow.
- 45:54It didn't give me what they if she was.
- 45:56Officially diagnosed, didn't say if she was treated.
- 46:01Better. What are you looking at, Jerry?
- 46:02I just did 2 looks I know living room no.
- 46:04Stop. Stop.
- 46:05No, we're good. We're good.
- 46:05We're good. That scared me.
- 46:08OK, continuing, I found another website that it was called the
- 46:12The Gospel Coalition. It describes demonic possession
- 46:15as a variety of conditions, both physical and psychological, for
- 46:19which the cause is identified as a direct demonic influence.
- 46:24The remedy that was used by Jesus and the early church for
- 46:27such conditions was exorcism. Symptoms of possession vary.
- 46:32Greatly from case to case. Examples include inability to
- 46:36speak, blindness, deafness, ferocity, nakedness, self harm
- 46:43and. Excessive.
- 46:44Strength. They go on to say that the most
- 46:46common remedy for possession is issuing a command to the Spirit
- 46:49in the name of Jesus to leave the person which.
- 46:53Is it's exorcism that's. What it's called one of the
- 46:59most. Famous.
- 47:00Cases of an exorcism is the case of Roland Doe.
- 47:05He is a 14 year old. Boy, who would?
- 47:06Eventually inspire the 1973 horror film The Exorcist.
- 47:11Wow, I will be. Referring to him as Roland.
- 47:14Doe because I did see a couple articles that link him to
- 47:17multiple names so this person is from what I assume real, but I
- 47:22saw that he was linked to two different names so in order to
- 47:26just keep it ambiguous. I'm just gonna refer to him as.
- 47:31The name given to him which is Roland Doe.
- 47:32OK. Born in 1935.
- 47:37Joe was raised by a middle class family in Cottage City, MD.
- 47:41By the age of 14, Joe began to experience paranormal activities
- 47:44that would dramatically alter the course of his life.
- 47:47The occurrences coincided with the death of his aunt in January
- 47:51of 1949, who, while alive, had taught Roland how to use a Ouija
- 47:56board. No, thank you.
- 47:59It started. With a knocking inside the walls
- 48:02that only he could hear. Soon, reports state that
- 48:06furniture would begin to move around him on one.
- 48:10Incident A chair. Was thrown at Reverend Luther
- 48:13Scholes, the family minister, the boy's bed.
- 48:17Would shake. Whenever he was in it, the
- 48:20minister even described scratched marks on the floor and
- 48:23he called them scars from the heavy sliding of the furniture,
- 48:29unable to. Find help with their local.
- 48:30Ministry. The boy's family reached out to
- 48:33William Bodern, a Jesuit who conducted more than 20 exorcism
- 48:38rituals on Doe, all within a span of three months.
- 48:42So this started in January and only went through April and he
- 48:45had 20 exorcisms done. Damn.
- 48:49An entry. On Bodern's journal recounts an
- 48:52exorcism with 14 people in attendance.
- 48:55He wrote that there was scratching, which beat out a
- 48:59rhythm of marching soldiers. A second class relic of Saint
- 49:02Margaret Mary, like something hanging on the wall, was thrown
- 49:06at the floor. The safety pin was opened, but
- 49:08no human had touched the relic. Another night.
- 49:12The boy. Had the name Lewis carved into
- 49:15his rib cage. Like bright red, like blood.
- 49:18Jeez. During the exorcisms, he would
- 49:22be stripped. To the bed in a different
- 49:24session he managed to tear a spring out of the bed and use it
- 49:27to swing on the priest and cut him.
- 49:29This boy literally. Have you seen the movie The
- 49:32Exorcist where it's like they're trying to exorcise his demon and
- 49:35things are just going to shit? I've also seen.
- 49:38The The Scary movie throwing. Up it's Yep.
- 49:45So they saw the family, saw the name Lewis on his rib cage, and
- 49:48they were like, that means we have to take in with Saint
- 49:50Louis. So they took him to Saint Louis.
- 49:53Wow. He was later at the connection.
- 49:56They took him to Saint Louis in the hopes of finding help to
- 49:59absolve Ronald of his demons. There he met 2 priests, one of
- 50:03which was William Bowden. At Saint Louis University, Doe
- 50:07was once again strapped to his bed to perform another exorcism.
- 50:10There, the exorcist witnessed scratching on the boy's body and
- 50:14the mattress began to move violently.
- 50:17Finally, on April 18th, 1949, a miracle occurred.
- 50:22It was the Monday after Easter. The priests had laid relics,
- 50:25crucifixes, medals and rosaries around the boy.
- 50:29At 10:45 PM that evening, the attending priest called on Saint
- 50:32Michael to expel Satan from Ronald's body.
- 50:36They shouted at Satan saying that Saint Michael would battle
- 50:38him for Ronald's soul. 7 minutes later Ronald came out of his
- 50:44trance and said he's gone. The strange occurrences ceased.
- 50:52After that. Dang.
- 50:57I've never heard of the real story of of like, yeah, I'm
- 50:59surprised it's not a girl when. I saw that it was like a 14 year
- 51:02old Boyles, like they did him dirty.
- 51:04How dare. But because what's creepier?
- 51:06Apparently little girls, little girls being haunted.
- 51:10I don't know, there's something about it like.
- 51:13Long hair, head spinning through full 3. 60 Sorry you said that.
- 51:20When what year did they take him to?
- 51:22This is all in 1949. It was.
- 51:24Like 3 months? What did did it say what?
- 51:26Like specific? Months it started.
- 51:29His aunt died in January and shortly after he started hearing
- 51:32things in the walls. Oh, OK, OK.
- 51:34And by April the last. Exorcism was April 18th.
- 51:39April's birthday, April 18th. April 18th. 1949. 1949 You know
- 51:45who was was. Around this time who?
- 51:49William E Stark when he died in September 23rd, 1949.
- 51:54Oh, bad year, bad year 9. Man, jeez.
- 51:57Yeah. But I guess after this he went
- 51:59on to live a really good life. He worked for NASA.
- 52:03Wow. Yeah.
- 52:05I wonder if people knew him. I guess he made it a thing for
- 52:08hopefully people. Not to, but like, I guess word
- 52:11eventually spread. He's the reason for the
- 52:13Exorcist. But yeah, I guess he spent like
- 52:17his Halloween all locked up because they didn't want anyone
- 52:19to, like, find out. Oh my God that was a random.
- 52:22Article I read on that, so I'm not.
- 52:24Sure. The validity of the, the whole
- 52:25NASA, yeah, that's still. Crazy though, like I've never
- 52:29heard that story and that's, fuck, that's crazy.
- 52:32Yeah, I don't, I don't know. What I would my reaction to
- 52:38someone listing. I think there's.
- 52:42A very fine line. Even if there is a line of like
- 52:45mental illness and not being sure something is of this world
- 52:50because you don't understand it. I don't know if I'm making
- 52:52sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I get you
- 52:54'cause there was another article that that talked about.
- 52:59How we didn't really have. The answers of mental illness
- 53:06back in the time of Jesus walking the earth where it was
- 53:08easy to be like he came and he said some words and he cured
- 53:13them of their, of their symptoms because they listed like
- 53:18blindness, deafness as being signs of being possessed.
- 53:24Yeah. I mean just like.
- 53:26Anything they had, they have to like.
- 53:28Whatever teachings at the time, they have to have answers, and
- 53:31sometimes these answers are definitely not right.
- 53:34So it makes sense. It makes sense that you know
- 53:38they attribute it to some sort of negative, I don't know.
- 53:42Being or energy? Or possession or whatever there
- 53:47I'm. The reason I like I believe in
- 53:49so much of this or I give it an I give it space, is why is it
- 53:54such a common occurrence in multiple cultures of a life
- 54:00after death of a good and evil? Yeah, things crossing over to
- 54:04the other side. Like, I think even in the Aztec
- 54:09culture, I'm not 100% sure, but there's like a God of the
- 54:12underworld. I read a really good book about
- 54:15that God trying to come back. Yeah.
- 54:18To take more lives. But.
- 54:19Anyways, yeah, and so that sounds like Greek.
- 54:21Mythology to me, the Hades, you know, but it exists in like
- 54:26exactly. The Latin culture, every corner
- 54:29of the fucking. World.
- 54:30Yeah, creepy. Some creepy stuff, Brian.
- 54:34Yeah, but I'm into it as long as it.
- 54:37Doesn't hurt me. I don't want to wake up with
- 54:38weird scratches. You don't want to wake up with
- 54:40Louis. Louis Cage.
- 54:41On my rib cage, no. I doc I just woke up with this
- 54:45like this is the. Tattoo, What'd you do yesterday?
- 54:47Oh shit, I drink some ditrochloride.
- 54:51Mixed. Drinks and gin.
- 54:53I forgot to get my. Stomach pumped.
- 54:54I didn't think it was that. Big a deal.
- 54:56I thought nothing of it. Damn, that's wild.
- 55:02Yeah, that's wild. This is a topic I would love.
- 55:06To continue to have, I would love to hear.
- 55:12Stories of you, Yes, I'm looking at you.
- 55:17Yeah, guys. Send them if you have anything.
- 55:19That you've experienced. Seen have been told about let us
- 55:23know we want to read them yeah that sounds cool send it to send
- 55:26us a message on our. Instagram exactly and if you
- 55:29haven't followed. Us please do so at the.
- 55:31Daily VJ podcast. Damn.
- 55:34But yeah. Who knows, maybe next week we'll
- 55:38come at you. With some more ghost stories,
- 55:42what you we need to do? More research on the Queen Mary.
- 55:47That'd be cool. I I there's, I mean, it's right.
- 55:48There it's it's what, 30 minutes away?
- 55:50Yeah, you can book a room that. 'D be fun.
- 55:54I hear they do ghost tours. That'd be Oh yeah, they do.
- 55:57And it's the Queen Mary. This ship has been around
- 55:59forever. Yeah, it's all combat, like 8080
- 56:03something years. Stinking off the top of my head,
- 56:06sure, that sounds good to me. Yeah, how many?
- 56:09Like how much? Death has this boat seen Oh, it
- 56:13has to be like close to. Six.
- 56:15It's D Maybe it was bigger than the Titanic, right?
- 56:17I think it was bigger. I don't remember.
- 56:19I want to. I want to say it's bigger than
- 56:20the Titanic, which is even better because it looks like the
- 56:23Titanic. It does it.
- 56:24Does well. That sounds fun.
- 56:26That's a good idea. Maybe.
- 56:27Yeah, we'll see. I might not be free though.
- 56:31No, actually I think I am. Pretty busy this weekend.
- 56:36Well, if the sea breeze blows us in that direction West.
- 56:43Yeah. We may or may.
- 56:45Not if not, then we'll. Have a light hearted My Little
- 56:49Pony. Yeah.

- 56:53I don't know. We'll see.
- 56:56We'll keep an eye out. We'll see.
- 56:59Just keep an eye out. Bye, bye no.
- 57:04Wait, we, don't we? Can't leave you, We have to
- 57:06recommend songs. Oh yeah, we always do.

- 57:25Some modulations by boy harsher Oh.
- 57:35I am going to recommend. Let's see, what have I had on
- 57:41repeat recently? Oh, I'm going to recommend one
- 57:44of my favorite Omar Apollo songs.
- 57:46Guys, if you don't know, I'm a huge Omar Apollo fan.
- 57:48Love him. But one of my favorite songs is
- 57:51actually I think one of the first songs I heard of him,
- 57:53which is Kamikaze. It's super cool, super like like
- 57:58chill. I think it's like.
- 58:00Bedroom pop, I don't know if that's the genre, but that's a
- 58:02great genre. It's very like low.
- 58:04Key. Chill pop music so.
- 58:07Please listen to that I. Love it, and if you guys ever
- 58:11have song recommendations also put that in the comments.
- 58:13Yeah, I want to expand my library, add more.
- 58:15Stuff to my listening, my daily listens.
- 58:18Speaking of music, I have one more thing earlier when you were
- 58:21mentioning like like what? Sorry, I forgot his name already
- 58:25from the the original Ronald Delton Ronald when you're
- 58:29Ronald, Ronald would be if he'd be laying down.
- 58:32He you know, he started to scream and shout.
- 58:35You said literally that's what played in my head when he said
- 58:37that and I was like, that's going to be my recommendation.
- 58:40It's not what we've been going to the to this.
- 58:42Club that has the early 2000s music and every time we go they
- 58:46play Scream and shout by Britney William we go oh yo-yo yo you
- 58:53will now now rocking with. Brian and Jerry bitch.
- 58:58It's also hard when there's a lot of people around you.
- 59:06Know like late at night we do regular tours at midnight with
- 59:10one tonight. I don't, I'm not doing 1
- 59:12tonight, but that's when it's so silent and you can really hear
- 59:16sounds like your sounds are very clear.
- 59:20There's parties happening on the ship.
- 59:22As soon as you can hear noises from parties or people up there,
- 59:29Jackie, we're leaving now. All right, we're on our.
- 59:38Way to the Paranormal Activity tour of Paranormal activity
- 59:44Paranormal tour Normal tour.
