- 0:00Speaker 1: Have an idea for the show? Today's your day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Use the iHeartRadio app and talk back to us right now.
- 0:08Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Rich, today's national what?
- 0:10Speaker 4: National Kale Day.
- 0:11Speaker 5: Yum.
- 0:13Speaker 6: I like kale in my soups.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Yeah, kale's good. Nobody likes kale.
- 0:17Speaker 7: If kale is done right, kale is good justice for kale.
- 0:20Speaker 4: You say that you like it, but I think you
- 0:22Speaker 4: just like it because it's good for you. It is
- 0:24Speaker 4: National Coffee with a Cop Day, and it is National
- 0:28Speaker 4: Random Acts of Poetry Day. Okay, I'll go first. John
- 0:34Speaker 4: Jay and Rich are on this morning. Our radio show
- 0:37Speaker 4: comes with an immaturity warning. There you go.
- 0:41Speaker 3: That's poetry?
- 0:42Speaker 5: I thought you were going to do like Roses of Red.
- 0:45Speaker 5: That's all I got. I just walked in on something
- 0:49Speaker 5: right before we started, and I thought it was really
- 0:52Speaker 5: cool and really interesting. Do you guys remember when Noah
- 0:54Speaker 5: was on The Price is Right?
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, of course I do. I'm so jelly.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Noah, who's behind the scenes, was on The Price is Right.
- 0:59Speaker 5: Here's a scene, a clip from that. Noah Lashley, come
- 1:03Speaker 5: on down.
- 1:06Speaker 3: So that was a while ago.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Noah, Noah, can you come in? Noah, could you please
- 1:09Speaker 5: come on down?
- 1:09Speaker 4: Come on down.
- 1:10Speaker 5: Could you please come in and come out of your studio,
- 1:12Speaker 5: come into our studio? Noah Lashley, come on down.
- 1:16Speaker 6: Oh, yay. I know that's exactly how you ran on down.
- 1:20Speaker 4: He runs like he's stepping over pixels.
- 1:24Speaker 5: So, Noah Lashley, our audio major, was on The Price
- 1:27Speaker 5: is Right. How long ago was that, Noah?
- 1:29Speaker 4: That was a year ago this week.
- 1:30Speaker 6: What?
- 1:31Speaker 8: Already?
- 1:31Speaker 9: Really?
- 1:32Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I walked in on him because he was, what was
- 1:36Speaker 5: the prize? He won prizes, and now they're coming in.
- 1:38Speaker 10: Yeah, I won a three-night contest. four-day trip to Austin,
- 1:43Speaker 10: Texas to Carter Creek Winery and Resorts.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Make sure you get the proper vacation time before you
- 1:48Speaker 4: go there, please.
- 1:48Speaker 10: Thank you. I won a driftboard hybrid scooter.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I won a computer.
- 1:57Speaker 5: And I won a 3D printer. Okay, so I walked
- 2:00Speaker 5: back in there and he had this huge calendar spread.
- 2:03Speaker 5: And I go, what are you doing? He goes, I'm
- 2:05Speaker 5: planning my trip to New York. I go, New York?
- 2:09Speaker 5: But you just said Austin.
- 2:11Speaker 10: I emailed the travel agent back because we were going
- 2:14Speaker 10: over all kinds of random stuff for the trip. And
- 2:18Speaker 10: I had accounted to take an entire week for my Austin,
- 2:23Speaker 10: Texas trip. My mom was going to be my plus one.
- 2:25Speaker 10: We were going to take the whole family. She was
- 2:27Speaker 10: going to pay to add my dad. I was going
- 2:29Speaker 10: to bring Lenora. It was going to be this whole thing.
- 2:32Speaker 10: And then one by one, everybody had plans. Everybody canceled.
- 2:36Speaker 10: And I wasn't going to plan out. But I had
- 2:37Speaker 10: already allotted for this entire week with the travel agent.
- 2:41Speaker 10: So I had asked, and I had kind of coerced,
- 2:44Speaker 10: if you will, the possibility of making this two trips
- 2:48Speaker 10: in one and seeing if I can get the Price
- 2:50Speaker 10: is Right's dime to pay for it.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Interesting, right?
- 2:53Speaker 4: So both, two cities.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Like he didn't get the showcase showdown.
- 2:57Speaker 11: No.
- 2:57Speaker 5: This is against Price is Right regulations.
- 2:59Speaker 1: This is me doing what I do.
- 3:01Speaker 7: How did you finagle a trip to Austin into a
- 3:04Speaker 7: trip to New York and Austin?
- 3:06Speaker 10: Instead of a round trip ticket, which is what I
- 3:09Speaker 10: was told all would be happening when I sat down
- 3:11Speaker 10: with the people at The Price is Right to go
- 3:13Speaker 10: over my prizes. I asked if we could switch it
- 3:15Speaker 10: to one-way tickets. And they crunched some numbers and said
- 3:18Speaker 10: that they would be willing to make an exception.
- 3:21Speaker 4: So you have no way home.
- 3:22Speaker 12: Exactly.
- 3:23Speaker 9: Yes.
- 3:24Speaker 10: They are going to pay for Phoenix to Austin and
- 3:27Speaker 10: then Austin to New York. And then I just have
- 3:29Speaker 10: to get my own flight back. from New York back
- 3:31Speaker 10: to Phoenix.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Oh, that's not too bad.
- 3:33Speaker 10: And it turns out the week that I'm planning on
- 3:34Speaker 10: going is a really cheap week.
- 3:37Speaker 4: You're flying out of Newark, New Jersey?
- 3:39Speaker 3: JFK.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Oh, JFK, yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 6: So what, they pay for your hotel in Austin and
- 3:42Speaker 6: then you have to figure out like you're lodging for
- 3:45Speaker 6: New York?
- 3:46Speaker 11: Yep.
- 3:46Speaker 10: So they're paying for the entire Austin hotel and for
- 3:52Speaker 10: the plane rides for me and my plus one, which
- 3:53Speaker 10: is my friend Shelby. She's really into wineries now. So
- 3:57Speaker 10: Perfect timing for that. And then she loves being my
- 4:00Speaker 10: New York bestie, so we kind of combined both. We
- 4:02Speaker 10: found a cheap hotel and a cheap flight home.
- 4:07Speaker 3: There's more.
- 4:07Speaker 5: What about the scooter?
- 4:08Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 10: And then, as I'm dealing with that, this was all
- 4:11Speaker 10: happening yesterday and this morning. Emails, all kinds of stuff.
- 4:14Speaker 10: Different people. I find out from the Price is Right
- 4:18Speaker 10: Prize Fulfillment Center that the company that provides the scooter
- 4:23Speaker 10: is being uncooperative.
- 4:25Speaker 14: And so.
- 4:27Speaker 10: They have offered me a cash-out option, and they're going
- 4:30Speaker 10: to mail me a check for $ 2, 000.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Wow.
- 4:32Speaker 7: An expensive scooter. That pays for New York, baby.
- 4:37Speaker 1: There we go.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Dude, that is incredible.
- 4:40Speaker 4: Let me ask you a question about your travels and
- 4:43Speaker 4: the things that you do and all that stuff. How
- 4:45Speaker 4: do you have more vacation time than John?
- 4:47Speaker 5: This is 2027.
- 4:48Speaker 3: This is 2027. This is not happening this year.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Rich is really worried that we were about to lose Noah.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I got a time card.
- 4:55Speaker 15: Here, Noah.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Don't rain on his parade.
- 4:57Speaker 1: 2027 from HR.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Who cares?
- 5:01Speaker 5: I think that's exciting, Noah.
- 5:02Speaker 3: That is awesome.
- 5:03Speaker 5: That is wild that you made it on the game show.
- 5:05Speaker 3: That's crazy. You got these prizes.
- 5:06Speaker 5: I love that.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Hey, man, sorry.
- 5:08Speaker 5: The prize place is being uncooperative.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You got to get stuff signed before you.
- 5:12Speaker 7: They forget they told the prizes, right?
- 5:14Speaker 6: They would supply a scooter?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Maybe when they saw Noah was the winner, like, no,
- 5:17Speaker 5: we don't think so.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Guys, there's more.
- 5:19Speaker 4: There's more?
- 5:20Speaker 16: What?
- 5:21Speaker 10: So the same thing, kind of the same thing happened
- 5:23Speaker 10: with the fulfillment team for my computer. The distributor of
- 5:27Speaker 10: the computer does not make that model anymore. And so
- 5:31Speaker 10: the store, which is like an electronic store out of Chicago,
- 5:34Speaker 10: reached out to me. They gave me a call, some
- 5:36Speaker 10: guy named Steve. And Steve told me that it's his
- 5:39Speaker 10: store and he participates with The Price is Right and
- 5:41Speaker 10: he gives away things all the time. And so I
- 5:43Speaker 10: could pick out pretty much anything from his catalog and
- 5:46Speaker 10: he'll give me a credit for it. So I decided
- 5:49Speaker 10: earlier this week to buy a nice speaker and receiver
- 5:53Speaker 10: set for my bedroom TV. Because I have one in
- 5:57Speaker 10: my living room and now I'm spoiled and I can't
- 5:59Speaker 10: handle the way normal TV speaker sounds. So I'm like,
- 6:03Speaker 10: I need a speaker and I have one. I've had
- 6:05Speaker 10: one for years but... It was a hand-me-down, but that's
- 6:07Speaker 10: from my living room TV. Now that I have two
- 6:08Speaker 10: TVs because I have a living room and a bedroom
- 6:10Speaker 10: in my apartment, I'm like, ah.
- 6:12Speaker 5: You got to tell the lady who won the Showcase Showdown.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Be like, burn!
- 6:17Speaker 4: Wait about the printer. Didn't you sell the printer?
- 6:19Speaker 3: He threw in what?
- 6:20Speaker 5: He threw in a Polaroid camera.
- 6:21Speaker 3: A Polaroid camera? Bring it in!
- 6:26Speaker 5: The way I see it, I got more than the
- 6:27Speaker 5: lady who won the showcase.
- 6:28Speaker 4: You sure did. Didn't you sell the printer?
- 6:29Speaker 3: You turned prices right.
- 6:30Speaker 5: I got $ 1, 700 out of the printer.
- 6:31Speaker 14: $ 1, 700 for the printer.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Noah Lashley!
- 6:33Speaker 6: Come on down!
- 6:42Speaker 3: Did you eat the helmet, though? Remember the helmet didn't fit?
- 6:44Speaker 10: The helmet was also unable to be fulfilled, and they
- 6:47Speaker 10: are mailing me a check for $ 40.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 6:50Speaker 4: How does the show stay in business?
- 6:52Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 6:57Speaker 4: It's almost like, who runs.
- 6:58Speaker 11: It, us?
- 7:02Speaker 3: I never got my prize! Way to go, Noah. Way
- 7:04Speaker 3: to go.
- 7:04Speaker 5: Well, congratulations. Hey, dummy, if you.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Get free roses, it's a trap.
- 7:10Speaker 2: War of the Roses starts right now on John Jay
- 7:13Speaker 2: and Rich.
- 7:14Speaker 5: All right, let's get ready for War of the Roses.
- 7:15Speaker 5: You think so much of Cheat 90, so you come
- 7:17Speaker 5: to us. We're going to find out for sure.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Good morning, Mel. How are you?
- 7:21Speaker 13: I'm doing all right.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:23Speaker 3: What's your story? What's going on?
- 7:25Speaker 13: We've been together for about two years and engaged for
- 7:29Speaker 13: a couple months now. He's been really weird with me lately.
- 7:33Speaker 13: He came home.
- 7:34Speaker 16: At 3 a.m.
- 7:35Speaker 15: The other night.
- 7:36Speaker 13: And he's working nonstop because apparently he's busy for the
- 7:40Speaker 13: holidays and he barely communicates when he goes out. And
- 7:45Speaker 13: I know when this man's lying to me because he
- 7:47Speaker 13: does this lip thing, like that's kind of quivering whenever
- 7:50Speaker 13: he lies. And the last time, actually the last three times,
- 7:56Speaker 13: I actually called him at work. And the first time
- 8:01Speaker 13: he wasn't there. Second time he wasn't there either. And
- 8:04Speaker 13: third time I finally asked the girl. when he was
- 8:07Speaker 13: supposed to come in and she goes, well, he doesn't
- 8:09Speaker 13: work here anymore.
- 8:10Speaker 16: And I'm like, excuse me.
- 8:13Speaker 13: She tells me this mother hasn't been working there for
- 8:15Speaker 13: six months.
- 8:17Speaker 10: So for six.
- 8:18Speaker 17: Months, he's been getting dressed, leaving.
- 8:21Speaker 13: The house, pretending like he has a job that he
- 8:23Speaker 13: doesn't go to. So I, there's definitely another woman and yeah, I,
- 8:29Speaker 13: I'm sure of it.
- 8:30Speaker 7: Is there any other behavior that you can like pinpoint
- 8:33Speaker 7: and that leads you straight to cheating?
- 8:35Speaker 3: Cause like, I could see.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Him doing that because he's embarrassed. He lost maybe he
- 8:39Speaker 7: lost his job or he got fired and doesn't want
- 8:41Speaker 7: to like fess.
- 8:41Speaker 12: Up to you.
- 8:42Speaker 17: No, just the fact that he he.
- 8:44Speaker 13: Barely communicates now. He we don't really like have sex anymore.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Oh, I mean, that's a big deal.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 4: He might he might just be waiting for you to
- 8:54Speaker 4: bust him to call off the engagement, you know. He
- 8:57Speaker 4: might be one of those wusses. How about paying the
- 8:59Speaker 4: bills and stuff?
- 9:00Speaker 5: If he doesn't work there in six months, have you
- 9:03Speaker 5: seen his checking account or how are you paying the bills?
- 9:07Speaker 5: Is he helping?
- 9:07Speaker 15: I haven't seen his checking.
- 9:09Speaker 16: He has been.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Okay, interesting.
- 9:11Speaker 15: So that's why I'm so confused.
- 9:13Speaker 5: So maybe he's got another job and you don't know
- 9:14Speaker 5: about it. Maybe he's got a side hustle.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Maybe it's an embarrassing job.
- 9:18Speaker 5: Selling feet pictures on the side, doesn't want you to know.
- 9:21Speaker 6: I'm like, but still, regardless, like, going to the length to, like,
- 9:24Speaker 6: get dressed up to go to work and, like, hug
- 9:27Speaker 6: and kiss your girl bye and then walk out and
- 9:29Speaker 6: not go to your job is, like, pretty crazy.
- 9:31Speaker 7: Or, like, if you did get a new job and
- 9:33Speaker 7: not tell you about it, like, also very strange behavior.
- 9:35Speaker 6: Like, it's weird regardless.
- 9:37Speaker 4: What job has you coming home at 3 a.m.? Bartender.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Yeah, bartender.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Mobile DJ. Yeah, there you go. Mobile DJ service.
- 9:45Speaker 14: Maybe that's what he's doing.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Listen, I don't work in finance anymore, but I do
- 9:49Speaker 4: spin the hits.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 9:51Speaker 3: All right, what's your fiance's name, Mel?
- 9:53Speaker 12: Jaden.
- 9:53Speaker 5: All right, we're going to get Jaden on the phone.
- 9:55Speaker 5: We're going to find out what's going on. Who is
- 9:57Speaker 5: he going to send flowers to?
- 9:59Speaker 3: This is.
- 10:00Speaker 5: gripping, you guys.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Gripping. Griping.
- 10:04Speaker 5: All right, War of the Roses continues next for John
- 10:06Speaker 5: Jay and Rich.
- 10:06Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We are like a whole vibe.
- 10:11Speaker 3: We are in the middle of War of the Roses.
- 10:13Speaker 3: You got Mel on the line.
- 10:14Speaker 5: She thinks her fiance is cheating on her, and she's
- 10:17Speaker 5: got quite a few reasons why. First of all, she
- 10:20Speaker 5: just found out he's been lying about his job. He
- 10:21Speaker 5: got fired six months ago, but he still gets dressed
- 10:23Speaker 5: every day to go to work. That's a big one.
- 10:25Speaker 5: Second of all, they don't get intimate anymore. Anything else, Mel?
- 10:28Speaker 3: I mean, those are two big ones.
- 10:30Speaker 13: Those are the main ones.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Those are the main ones.
- 10:32Speaker 18: Okay.
- 10:32Speaker 12: All right.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Kyle, you ready to go?
- 10:33Speaker 4: I'm ready.
- 10:34Speaker 3: All right, Mel. We are calling your fiance, Jaden.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Hello?
- 10:50Speaker 6: Hi.
- 10:51Speaker 7: Is Jaden available?
- 10:52Speaker 3: Speaking.
- 10:53Speaker 9: Oh, perfect.
- 10:53Speaker 7: So hi, Jaden. My name is Holly. I'm with a company.
- 10:55Speaker 7: We're called JNR Flowers. This is a really cool call
- 10:57Speaker 7: for you. I know you're probably like, what the heck
- 10:59Speaker 7: is going on here? But you've actually been chosen to
- 11:02Speaker 7: be a micro influencer for us. So what this means
- 11:04Speaker 7: for you is you get to send our most romantic
- 11:06Speaker 7: bouquet of roses to surprise someone special in your life.
- 11:09Speaker 7: And it's totally free for.
- 11:10Speaker 14: You, Jaden.
- 11:11Speaker 7: We're just kind of hoping that maybe you post about us,
- 11:13Speaker 7: get the word out, tell everyone how great JNR Flowers is.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Ah, that's cool.
- 11:16Speaker 12: So I could be like the TikTokers and Instagram and
- 11:20Speaker 12: all of that and grow up my page?
- 11:23Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 7: And well, because you're going to do that for us,
- 11:26Speaker 7: we can just say this is going to be totally
- 11:28Speaker 7: free for you. I'm not going to ask you for
- 11:29Speaker 7: a credit card or any other personal information. We do
- 11:32Speaker 7: like to send out a little message with the bouquet.
- 11:34Speaker 7: And this, we really just want to be personal. So
- 11:37Speaker 7: we actually have some new technology where we actually... we
- 11:40Speaker 7: go ahead and record a voice memo from you. And
- 11:43Speaker 7: instead of like a written out card, whoever is going
- 11:45Speaker 7: to receive this gift will actually hear your message. So, um,
- 11:49Speaker 7: whenever you're ready, that's really the only thing that I'll
- 11:51Speaker 7: need from you. You just say the message you want
- 11:53Speaker 7: to say, and then we'll go like, you know, name
- 11:56Speaker 7: and address and get them sent out probably as early
- 11:58Speaker 7: as today.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Wow.
- 12:00Speaker 12: That's pretty cool.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Sweet.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:02Speaker 12: Yeah, for sure.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:04Speaker 7: So we are recording right now at the tone. Please
- 12:08Speaker 7: record your message.
- 12:10Speaker 12: I really do appreciate everything. I mean, everything you do
- 12:15Speaker 12: for me.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Okay.
- 12:16Speaker 7: Do you want to add like a love Jaden sincerely or?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Oh, um, yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 11: I mean, it's well, no, no, that's, that's, that's fine
- 12:27Speaker 11: as it is.
- 12:27Speaker 12: Okay.
- 12:28Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Perfect.
- 12:29Speaker 7: I like you leaving a little mystery.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:32Speaker 7: Uh, and then who are we addressing this? Who are
- 12:33Speaker 7: we sending these flowers to?
- 12:35Speaker 12: Alexia.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Alexia.
- 12:38Speaker 19: Who's Alexia Jaden?
- 12:39Speaker 11: Uh, Ah, just someone really cool, that's all.
- 12:42Speaker 19: Who are you sending roses to?
- 12:43Speaker 5: Who's Alexia?
- 12:44Speaker 12: Sorry, who?
- 12:45Speaker 11: What?
- 12:46Speaker 14: Hello?
- 12:47Speaker 11: Jaden, it's me.
- 12:48Speaker 13: It's Mel.
- 12:49Speaker 12: Mel?
- 12:50Speaker 9: What?
- 12:50Speaker 4: Are you f * * * ing kidding me?
- 12:51Speaker 3: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 12:53Speaker 20: What?
- 12:53Speaker 12: What the f * * *?
- 12:54Speaker 13: It's the only way I can get answers out of you.
- 12:57Speaker 21: Who's Alexia?
- 13:00Speaker 12: Uh... I'm so confused.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Mel, what is this?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Why are you here?
- 13:06Speaker 11: What's going on?
- 13:06Speaker 13: I'm sitting here listening to my fiance saying another bitch
- 13:09Speaker 13: flowers while you've been lying to my face for months.
- 13:11Speaker 14: I'm sorry.
- 13:12Speaker 5: What the f * * * is this, Mel?
- 13:13Speaker 15: What's going on here?
- 13:14Speaker 3: Who's Alexia?
- 13:16Speaker 15: Who's Alexia?
- 13:17Speaker 1: Nobody.
- 13:18Speaker 12: What are you talking about?
- 13:19Speaker 15: I'm so confused right now.
- 13:21Speaker 2: What?
- 13:21Speaker 13: I feel like I've heard that name before, but I.
- 13:27Speaker 19: That's your manager.
- 13:28Speaker 15: That's your manager.
- 13:28Speaker 19: That's your old manager.
- 13:29Speaker 13: What?
- 13:30Speaker 16: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:31Speaker 19: Alexis, you're all managers.
- 13:32Speaker 15: You're all managers.
- 13:33Speaker 9: You're crazy.
- 13:34Speaker 15: I don't know.
- 13:35Speaker 12: Huh?
- 13:36Speaker 15: I know you're not working.
- 13:37Speaker 13: I know you haven't been working for a good handful
- 13:38Speaker 13: of months.
- 13:39Speaker 3: You got fired from being a manager.
- 13:42Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 13:43Speaker 15: How the fuck?
- 13:47Speaker 13: You didn't have to tell me anything. I called your job.
- 13:50Speaker 19: You haven't worked there in six months.
- 13:53Speaker 5: No, this is not right.
- 13:55Speaker 11: This is not right.
- 13:56Speaker 16: This is not right.
- 13:56Speaker 3: You're not right about it.
- 13:58Speaker 12: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> Wait, you.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Called my job?
- 14:01Speaker 6: What?
- 14:02Speaker 11: Huh?
- 14:03Speaker 19: Well, that's the thing.
- 14:04Speaker 15: It's not your job.
- 14:05Speaker 13: You've been lying about going to your job.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I'm telling you, like, why are you, like, like, why
- 14:09Speaker 4: are you, like, stalking, like, going around and, like, calling everybody.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Asking where I'm at?
- 14:14Speaker 15: Because you've been putting work clothes on and leaving the
- 14:17Speaker 15: house every day like you're going to work.
- 14:19Speaker 21: So where are you going?
- 14:21Speaker 16: Are you going to her house? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 14:25Speaker 12: What?
- 14:26Speaker 9: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Don't say that.
- 14:34Speaker 6: We were having a nice date.
- 14:36Speaker 4: We are, we are.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Why does it matter? No, we were having a nice date.
- 14:41Speaker 7: We are, we are.
- 14:42Speaker 11: We are.
- 14:43Speaker 17: Right now it looks like you're f * * *
- 14:44Speaker 17: ing your manager.
- 14:45Speaker 13: You got fired for it.
- 14:46Speaker 15: You kept f * * * ing her and you.
- 14:48Speaker 13: Came home to me pretending like you had a long
- 14:49Speaker 13: day at work.
- 14:50Speaker 22: Look, I didn't just get fired because of that, but
- 14:52Speaker 22: it's just like.
- 14:53Speaker 19: Oh, it's just because of that.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 14:58Speaker 12: That's not.
- 14:59Speaker 13: I'm not trying to say that.
- 15:01Speaker 18: That's not what I meant.
- 15:03Speaker 3: You f * * * ed her while.
- 15:03Speaker 17: We were engaged, too.
- 15:05Speaker 13: I wonder if it was before.
- 15:06Speaker 6: Okay, okay.
- 15:08Speaker 16: It started before.
- 15:09Speaker 15: It started before.
- 15:10Speaker 12: It started before.
- 15:14Speaker 17: Was it before you got fired or before you put a.
- 15:18Speaker 15: Ring on my finger?
- 15:19Speaker 5: Can you just.
- 15:20Speaker 12: Give me a second and let me f * * *
- 15:21Speaker 12: ing explain.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Please? Like, please?
- 15:23Speaker 12: Explain what?
- 15:24Speaker 13: You lost your job because you couldn't keep your d * * *
- 15:26Speaker 13: out of your manager and then spent six months playing.
- 15:29Speaker 18: F * * * ing.
- 15:30Speaker 13: Dress-up every morning so you could go see her.
- 15:32Speaker 12: I wasn't going over there every morning.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I wasn't going over there.
- 15:36Speaker 6: No.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Oh, perfect.
- 15:38Speaker 13: So sometimes you were fake unemployed somewhere else.
- 15:41Speaker 16: Thank God.
- 15:41Speaker 12: I feel so much better.
- 15:43Speaker 3: You know what?
- 15:43Speaker 15: F * * * this. I'm not going to do
- 15:44Speaker 15: this with you.
- 15:45Speaker 12: I'm done. You're not doing shit with me anymore.
- 15:48Speaker 13: Go send Alexi another fucking bouquet and ask if she's hiring.
- 15:52Speaker 5: A lot of bleeps on this War of the Roses. Jaden,
- 15:55Speaker 5: you're on the air, John Jay and Rich. So Mel
- 15:58Speaker 5: thought you were cheating. See who you send the flowers to.
- 16:00Speaker 5: And she was right. So, Mel, how do you feel?
- 16:04Speaker 16: I knew it.
- 16:05Speaker 19: I knew it.
- 16:06Speaker 13: I didn't know to what length. Yeah.
- 16:09Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 16:10Speaker 12: It's a lot.
- 16:10Speaker 15: It's a lot in the morning.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I don't know how he was thinking she wasn't going
- 16:14Speaker 4: to get caught eventually.
- 16:15Speaker 12: Well, right.
- 16:16Speaker 6: And he was just like tripping over his own words.
- 16:18Speaker 4: I was like, how did you know?
- 16:19Speaker 17: What?
- 16:20Speaker 4: How did you know? I didn't know that didn't happen.
- 16:22Speaker 7: I just think like at the very least, like you're
- 16:25Speaker 7: finding this out now before you did actually marry him
- 16:28Speaker 7: and walk down the aisle.
- 16:29Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Jaden, you're silent. You don't understand. You're on the radio.
- 16:34Speaker 6: Off.
- 16:35Speaker 9: Whoa.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:36Speaker 4: He sounds nice.
- 16:37Speaker 5: That's War of the Roses with John Jay and Rich.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Hello, Karen.
- 16:42Speaker 13: Hey.
- 16:43Speaker 14: Hey.
- 16:43Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 16:45Speaker 15: So I need some advice.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:48Speaker 6: Okay.
- 16:49Speaker 15: So funny story. My aunt died, but that's not the
- 16:53Speaker 15: funny part.
- 16:53Speaker 23: That's usually said it was funny.
- 16:56Speaker 15: So my aunt died, and she rode horses with her friends,
- 17:03Speaker 15: and it was her wish that that her ashes would
- 17:06Speaker 15: be spread off of horseback in the pasture that they
- 17:09Speaker 15: used to ride in together, which is a really great,
- 17:12Speaker 15: majestic thought. But as a horseman and a photographer for
- 17:19Speaker 15: 25-plus years, it's kind of like when someone comes to
- 17:22Speaker 15: you and says, I want a photo shoot done with
- 17:25Speaker 15: me in my wedding gown. It's not a good idea.
- 17:29Speaker 15: It's a you-know-what show waiting to happen.
- 17:33Speaker 12: So.
- 17:35Speaker 15: I kind of figured this was going to happen until
- 17:38Speaker 15: I got my phone ready to video this because I
- 17:42Speaker 15: was not going to miss it. And it was also
- 17:44Speaker 15: a chance for me to say I was right. So
- 17:46Speaker 15: I wanted to make sure that.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Was on video.
- 17:47Speaker 4: But what do you think is going to go wrong?
- 17:48Speaker 4: A wind gust or something like that?
- 17:50Speaker 15: Anything like anything from a plastic bag in the background
- 17:56Speaker 15: moving to a squirrel fart to any possible movement at
- 18:02Speaker 15: all that could... disrupt this horse's thought pattern as being
- 18:07Speaker 15: a decent animal. So especially when the woman gets on
- 18:12Speaker 15: the horse and right when she's getting on the horse,
- 18:13Speaker 15: she says to me, I just got this horse two
- 18:16Speaker 15: weeks ago and this is only my fifth time riding.
- 18:18Speaker 15: Hold on, let me press record. Let me make sure
- 18:22Speaker 15: I have this on record. And long story short, it
- 18:25Speaker 15: happened the way exactly the way that I thought it
- 18:27Speaker 15: was going to happen. Um, The bag of ashes or
- 18:31Speaker 15: whatever touched the horse wrong, and it kind of saw
- 18:33Speaker 15: it out of the corner of its eye, and it
- 18:35Speaker 15: started bucking, and the lady fell off.
- 18:38Speaker 12: Oh, no.
- 18:39Speaker 7: Is she okay?
- 18:40Speaker 9: She's fine.
- 18:40Speaker 17: Okay.
- 18:41Speaker 15: Yeah, she's totally fine. She's totally fine. So my question is,
- 18:45Speaker 15: I really, really want to post it.
- 18:47Speaker 12: Yes.
- 18:47Speaker 15: Because it's hilarious.
- 18:48Speaker 13: Yes.
- 18:49Speaker 15: And my aunt would have thought that it was hilarious
- 18:52Speaker 15: that her ashes ended up all over this... horse and
- 18:55Speaker 15: that her friend was on the ground. It's funny.
- 18:57Speaker 7: It's funny.
- 18:59Speaker 12: It's funny.
- 19:00Speaker 15: But, um, I'm not sure that the lady has that
- 19:05Speaker 15: kind of sense of humor, the one that fell and
- 19:08Speaker 15: she's not a huge fan of mine anyway. So I
- 19:13Speaker 15: kind of want to do it in spite, but I
- 19:15Speaker 15: also kind of want to be respectful a little bit.
- 19:19Speaker 15: It never shows her face, never shows her face. Can't
- 19:22Speaker 15: really identify her. She would know, obviously. And the people
- 19:25Speaker 15: that were there would know.
- 19:26Speaker 5: Well, let me ask you this. Can you give it
- 19:29Speaker 5: to us and we post it?
- 19:30Speaker 11: Please.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Well, what the heck?
- 19:37Speaker 5: It's not like they're going to know. And then you
- 19:38Speaker 5: could just repost it and be like, oh, my God.
- 19:41Speaker 15: It would be much more obvious for her to get
- 19:46Speaker 15: a hold of that viewing of social media and know
- 19:49Speaker 15: that it's her than that. what i did that's kind
- 19:51Speaker 15: of like going way bigger than just i mean.
- 19:53Speaker 5: It's your aunt it's your aunt.
- 19:56Speaker 7: Yeah what's her relationship darn it like with your aunt
- 19:58Speaker 7: is this just like one of your aunt's friends.
- 20:00Speaker 15: Or what Yes, it was a good friend of hers
- 20:02Speaker 15: that she rode horseback with.
- 20:04Speaker 7: I think family trumps friends.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Yes.
- 20:07Speaker 5: I think, you know, I also think if she told you,
- 20:10Speaker 5: if she said something to you, if she said, hey,
- 20:12Speaker 5: don't post it on her own.
- 20:14Speaker 15: Oh, she did.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Oh, damn it. Oh, no. Okay, okay, damn it.
- 20:18Speaker 4: No, that was right after.
- 20:19Speaker 15: But wait, wait, that was right after the incident. That
- 20:22Speaker 15: was like she was still trying to catch her breath
- 20:24Speaker 15: and see that she didn't break anything. Like she's like
- 20:28Speaker 15: jokingly kind of like, Oh, God, don't post that on
- 20:31Speaker 15: social media.
- 20:32Speaker 4: You know what I mean? Would your aunt think it
- 20:34Speaker 4: was hilarious? Would your aunt love it?
- 20:36Speaker 6: That's what she said, yeah.
- 20:37Speaker 15: Well, he would, I'm pretty sure she did that.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Right, that was your aunt slapping the horse's ass.
- 20:43Speaker 4: So you got to do it.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:45Speaker 5: I think if the girl said laughingly, don't post that,
- 20:47Speaker 5: you should say, hey, I've been thinking about it. I'd
- 20:48Speaker 5: like to post that video. Are you cool with that?
- 20:50Speaker 5: I think it'd be funny.
- 20:50Speaker 3: But what if she says no? John Jane Rich, what?
- 20:52Speaker 6: But what if the friend says no, you can't post it?
- 20:53Speaker 5: Well, then you don't post it.
- 20:54Speaker 3: How much time has passed?
- 20:56Speaker 5: Then you say, John Jane Rich, I talked to them.
- 20:58Speaker 5: They really want to post it. It'd be great. I'd
- 21:00Speaker 5: really like to do it. I think you ask.
- 21:02Speaker 15: It's been about three weeks. I've, It's been really hard
- 21:07Speaker 15: to wait three weeks.
- 21:08Speaker 13: Right.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I know.
- 21:10Speaker 15: Because, of course, I'm showing it to everybody I know.
- 21:12Speaker 8: Right.
- 21:13Speaker 15: And they are just on the floor rolling and laughing.
- 21:16Speaker 5: No, you've got to put it up. So you have–
- 21:18Speaker 5: it's like literally a shot like a movie. Like you
- 21:21Speaker 5: can see it perfectly because you had it.
- 21:23Speaker 15: Yeah, because I knew it was going to happen.
- 21:24Speaker 5: And you're a professional photographer, so it's going.
- 21:26Speaker 11: To look really good.
- 21:26Speaker 12: Yeah, right.
- 21:27Speaker 15: So I was on it.
- 21:28Speaker 4: That's a gift.
- 21:30Speaker 15: I even– like when she fell on the ground and
- 21:32Speaker 15: everybody was running to her– I strategically followed the horse
- 21:36Speaker 15: because then it's poetic. It's a riderless horse at that point.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Very majestic. Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 15: So I was like, of course I'm going to follow
- 21:44Speaker 15: the horse.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Let me ask you something. You said when you were
- 21:46Speaker 5: setting the story up, you said it's like being a
- 21:48Speaker 5: photographer and a bride saying she wants a picture in
- 21:51Speaker 5: a wedding dress. Isn't that normal? Is that something people do?
- 21:53Speaker 5: Because I've seen wedding dresses.
- 21:55Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Why is that?
- 21:56Speaker 15: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's totally a thing, and it
- 21:59Speaker 15: never ends well.
- 22:00Speaker 11: How?
- 22:00Speaker 3: I don't understand.
- 22:01Speaker 14: I'm missing something.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Because the horse takes off or whatever.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Oh, you mean on a horse.
- 22:06Speaker 13: Oh, on a horse.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Oh, I thought you meant.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I'm sitting there going, I've seen.
- 22:11Speaker 5: So many people get married in their wedding dresses and
- 22:13Speaker 5: it looks fine to me.
- 22:15Speaker 3: You met on a horse on a wedding.
- 22:17Speaker 7: I feel like this has sparked like an idea. I
- 22:20Speaker 7: want to hear like, what are you holding on to
- 22:22Speaker 7: that you've been asked not to post? Because I have something.
- 22:24Speaker 7: What should you never do on a horse? And I
- 22:25Speaker 7: know us as a show, we've got something.
- 22:27Speaker 3: What?
- 22:27Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we got something.
- 22:29Speaker 7: We have something.
- 22:30Speaker 3: What do you got?
- 22:31Speaker 7: So I was on a girl's trip last year and
- 22:33Speaker 7: we were all filming a TikTok together and one of
- 22:36Speaker 7: my friends literally completely ate it And she would not
- 22:39Speaker 7: let me post it, but it was so hilarious.
- 22:41Speaker 6: We were all laughing, and I'm like, no one's going
- 22:43Speaker 6: to know who you are.
- 22:46Speaker 15: If someone doesn't die, if someone does not die, then
- 22:49Speaker 15: what's the big deal?
- 22:50Speaker 7: And it wasn't incriminating. It didn't make her look bad.
- 22:54Speaker 7: It was just funny.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Okay, about five years ago, I was at a wedding,
- 22:57Speaker 5: and it was an outside wedding, and when they introduced
- 22:59Speaker 5: the bride and groom after they got married, they were
- 23:00Speaker 5: holding hands, they walked into a beautiful backyard, and the
- 23:03Speaker 5: bride tripped and fell. And I had it on my phone.
- 23:06Speaker 7: And they said, don't post it.
- 23:07Speaker 3: And she immediately walked in. Do not post that.
- 23:09Speaker 4: That's a gift.
- 23:10Speaker 5: It's been five years now.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Can I post it?
- 23:13Speaker 24: It is such a gift.
- 23:14Speaker 4: The fact that we have Karen, who is a photographer.
- 23:16Speaker 5: A photographer.
- 23:17Speaker 4: And knew that this was going to go down. We
- 23:19Speaker 4: need that. And we need to put like, you know,
- 23:21Speaker 4: maybe place some Old Town Road behind.
- 23:23Speaker 7: Yeah, we got to see it.
- 23:24Speaker 15: You know what I put to it? I put to it, regrets.
- 23:28Speaker 15: I've had a few.
- 23:32Speaker 3: If you post your video, I'll post my video.
- 23:37Speaker 7: It's tempting.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:38Speaker 15: Oh, it's so tempting. It's so tempting.
- 23:41Speaker 17: All right.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Thanks for calling in, Karen. Send us the video.
- 23:45Speaker 9: Okay.
- 23:45Speaker 5: And we promise we won't.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Just let us see it. Okay.
- 23:47Speaker 14: Thanks, Karen.
- 23:49Speaker 20: We just want to hear from you, and I don't
- 23:51Speaker 20: think that's too much to ask, and it's really stressing
- 23:53Speaker 20: me out that you're not calling.
- 23:55Speaker 12: 877-937-1047.
- 23:55Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich. Karen, good morning.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 24:03Speaker 5: So Karen, just to remind everyone, because I know you're calling,
- 24:07Speaker 5: you're the person that had a, you were like, I'm
- 24:09Speaker 5: debating whether I should post this video or not. And
- 24:12Speaker 5: it's because you're a photographer and there was a woman
- 24:14Speaker 5: that wanted to spread her aunt's, your aunt's ashes, right?
- 24:18Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 24:19Speaker 5: On a horse. And you filmed it. And by the way,
- 24:22Speaker 5: the film quality was amazing. You posted it. We reposted
- 24:26Speaker 5: it on our stories. What, I guess you're calling for
- 24:28Speaker 5: an update.
- 24:29Speaker 3: What's the latest?
- 24:31Speaker 15: Not much, except for the fact that I did have
- 24:33Speaker 15: a sequel. It was my 85-year-old mother that picked up
- 24:38Speaker 15: the bag of ashes that had fallen into the field.
- 24:41Speaker 15: And she picked it up and she decided to spread
- 24:43Speaker 15: the rest of them. And it looks like a scene from,
- 24:46Speaker 15: I don't know, a mix between The Sound of Music
- 24:50Speaker 15: and the scene in The Proposal.
- 24:52Speaker 4: Is she dancing around with the ashes?
- 24:54Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So she's doing it.
- 24:57Speaker 8: Twirling?
- 24:57Speaker 12: Yes.
- 24:59Speaker 15: The whole nine, and most people actually think that that's
- 25:02Speaker 15: actually funnier than the original video.
- 25:06Speaker 5: So how did the video, because you did post it,
- 25:09Speaker 5: how did the original video do as far as likes
- 25:11Speaker 5: and views go?
- 25:12Speaker 15: Oh, I think it's viral.
- 25:13Speaker 16: I think there's... Oh, gosh.
- 25:15Speaker 15: I think it was like 200 and something thousand.
- 25:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I just pulled it up. There's 218,000 views and
- 25:22Speaker 6: almost 11,000 likes and 5,000 shares. I don't know, Karen.
- 25:26Speaker 4: If I'm your aunt, I would love that my ashes
- 25:29Speaker 4: did so much comedy for people.
- 25:31Speaker 15: Oh, for sure. And generally, like most of the comments, are,
- 25:36Speaker 15: you know, like, I'm sorry for your loss, but that's
- 25:39Speaker 15: really super funny. Like, I mean, people at least have
- 25:42Speaker 15: a sense of humor about it.
- 25:44Speaker 13: You know?
- 25:44Speaker 7: Yeah, which is what you said your aunt would have wanted.
- 25:46Speaker 15: Oh, she probably did it. Like, she had a hand in.
- 25:51Speaker 6: It for sure. Oh my gosh, the comments are hilarious.
- 25:53Speaker 15: Like what?
- 25:56Speaker 6: Like, the horse is like, if you miss her so much,
- 25:59Speaker 6: go be with her. The horse was like, there's a
- 26:02Speaker 6: ghost chasing me.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Do you have the second part of the video that
- 26:07Speaker 3: you talked about with your mom where she's spreading the rest?
- 26:10Speaker 15: Yeah, it's up on there as well.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Oh, it is?
- 26:12Speaker 15: You know, the funny thing is that I have another
- 26:14Speaker 15: video up there. It's a tearjerker one, but it's of
- 26:17Speaker 15: her as well. For some reason, TikTok loves my mother.
- 26:22Speaker 15: But anyway, it was with her being reunited with her
- 26:25Speaker 15: horse and It's gone two point something million.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Wow.
- 26:29Speaker 12: Wow. Yeah.
- 26:30Speaker 5: We're going to repost. We're going to repost both of
- 26:32Speaker 5: them on our stories.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:34Speaker 17: Oh, that's awesome.
- 26:34Speaker 8: That's awesome.
- 26:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 26:35Speaker 15: They love her.
- 26:36Speaker 3: All right, Karen.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Thanks for calling in for the update.
- 26:39Speaker 15: No problem. You guys have a great day.
- 26:41Speaker 5: If you want to see the horse that bucked the
- 26:44Speaker 5: woman off as she was spreading ashes, it's hilarious. It's
- 26:48Speaker 5: going to be in our stories with all the other
- 26:50Speaker 5: ones that John Jane Rich. On Instagram.
- 26:52Speaker 9: Oh, cool.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Katie's are contested for somber tickets.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Hello, Katie.
- 26:59Speaker 9: Hello.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Hello, Katie. Nick, what are we playing?
- 27:02Speaker 2: You guys were playing a game today called Noise Machine.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Big weekend in football, huh?
- 27:07Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 2: The NFL week is concluding. I thought it'd be fun
- 27:12Speaker 2: to play mascots. So whatever the winning teams were this weekend,
- 27:17Speaker 2: I'm quizzing you with the noises of said mascots, okay?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I wish I knew who won this.
- 27:23Speaker 1: You guys, this is going to be so fun. I
- 27:26Speaker 1: am really, really excited for today. We're going to start
- 27:28Speaker 1: with John Jay.
- 27:35Speaker 5: I want to say the Arizona Sheep, but I think
- 27:39Speaker 5: it's the.
- 27:40Speaker 3: What?
- 27:40Speaker 5: That's a goat. Is somebody a goat? So you want
- 27:43Speaker 5: the name of the mascot.
- 27:44Speaker 21: The name.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yeah, go ahead, Steele.
- 27:46Speaker 11: It's the Rams.
- 27:47Speaker 1: The Los Angeles Rams.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Good job, Katie.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Good job, Katie.
- 27:52Speaker 3: All the board already.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Well, not anymore.
- 27:57Speaker 4: Just for a minute.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Really just hit me in my heart there, John Jackson. Okay,
- 28:03Speaker 1: moving on.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Rich.
- 28:04Speaker 12: Rich.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Uh, the Broncos?
- 28:11Speaker 5: The Horses.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Oh, no, it'll be the Colts, because the Broncos didn't
- 28:15Speaker 4: win the Colts.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Is that your final answer, Rich?
- 28:18Speaker 4: It's my final answer.
- 28:19Speaker 1: We were looking for the Indianapolis Colts. Way to go.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Good job.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Rich has one point now.
- 28:28Speaker 5: Peyton?
- 28:30Speaker 6: Oh, those are the Jaguars.
- 28:34Speaker 12: Steel.
- 28:34Speaker 24: Tigers.
- 28:38Speaker 3: You got to commit.
- 28:40Speaker 6: Those are the Detroit Lions.
- 28:41Speaker 1: The Detroit Lions is incorrect. We are looking for the
- 28:44Speaker 1: team they lost to, the Carolina Panthers. Oh, man. The
- 28:47Speaker 1: only one I didn't guess. The only cat you didn't guess.
- 28:51Speaker 1: So nice try, Peyton. We'll move on now. Kyle.
- 28:58Speaker 7: That sounds like a lion.
- 29:00Speaker 3: You think that's a lion?
- 29:00Speaker 7: I'm going to say the lions.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Just established the Lions lost to the Panthers. So we
- 29:05Speaker 2: are looking for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 29:07Speaker 7: I didn't know they won.
- 29:09Speaker 5: You told me there's Panthers and Jaguars?
- 29:12Speaker 3: And Lions, yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 1: There's all kinds of big cats in the NFL.
- 29:14Speaker 5: They need to change that.
- 29:16Speaker 4: A lot of cats.
- 29:17Speaker 5: That's confused.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Never going to work.
- 29:18Speaker 7: Too many kitty cats.
- 29:21Speaker 16: All right.
- 29:21Speaker 1: A lot of animals in round one. Are we ready, Katie?
- 29:25Speaker 20: I think so.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 29:34Speaker 9: Oh my gosh.
- 29:34Speaker 5: Hello bird.
- 29:39Speaker 24: The Eagles?
- 29:40Speaker 9: I don't even know if they won.
- 29:41Speaker 1: The Eagles lost to the Rams, so that's a nice try.
- 29:45Speaker 1: We were looking for everybody in the room. Three, two, one.
- 29:49Speaker 1: The Baltimore Ravens.
- 29:51Speaker 3: That's a lot of words, too.
- 29:54Speaker 7: Falcons, Eagles, Ravens, Cardinals. So many of them.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So the second round is a little harder.
- 30:01Speaker 9: Oh, gosh.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I wish you all luck.
- 30:03Speaker 2: We're going to start with John Jay.
- 30:06Speaker 4: My name is Cleveland Browns.
- 30:11Speaker 3: The Browns? We are looking for the Cleveland Browns.
- 30:14Speaker 1: All right, John Jay on number one point.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Such a good show.
- 30:19Speaker 13: Rich.
- 30:21Speaker 25: And I'm proud to be an American where at least
- 30:26Speaker 25: I know I'm free.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Oh, okay. So American Lee Greenwood.
- 30:31Speaker 3: I think I got it.
- 30:33Speaker 7: I think we all got it.
- 30:34Speaker 12: The Patriots.
- 30:35Speaker 4: The Patriots.
- 30:36Speaker 5: I was going with the Texans.
- 30:37Speaker 3: I got it wrong there.
- 30:40Speaker 14: I thought I did.
- 30:41Speaker 5: All right.
- 30:44Speaker 1: So John Jay with one point. Rich on the board
- 30:46Speaker 1: now officially. Katie on the board with one point.
- 30:49Speaker 14: Move on now.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Peyton, it's your turn.
- 30:51Speaker 12: V-5-4.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Oh, the Giants. We were looking for the New York Giants.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Way to go, Peyton. All right. Everybody but Kyle on
- 31:02Speaker 1: the board, but here's her shot now.
- 31:06Speaker 7: Okay, that sounds like an elephant.
- 31:10Speaker 8: Okay.
- 31:12Speaker 4: The elephants.
- 31:12Speaker 14: The elephants are where?
- 31:14Speaker 1: The Rhode Island elephants.
- 31:15Speaker 10: There are no elephants.
- 31:16Speaker 11: The gorillas.
- 31:16Speaker 7: Let me hear it one more time.
- 31:18Speaker 13: Oh, no.
- 31:20Speaker 5: The T-Rexes.
- 31:21Speaker 7: What the heck?
- 31:23Speaker 4: Jurassic Park got a team.
- 31:25Speaker 7: That's the Titans. They're Titans. That's a Titan.
- 31:28Speaker 1: The Titans that I hear Katie want to steal?
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 5: The bears.
- 31:33Speaker 1: The bears.
- 31:35Speaker 16: Oh.
- 31:35Speaker 7: Good job, Katie.
- 31:37Speaker 13: All right.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Of course.
- 31:38Speaker 7: I was thinking non-animals this time.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Katie's already won the game, but I would like to
- 31:42Speaker 2: play the last clip just for the hell of it.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Yes!
- 31:46Speaker 4: Texas.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Not the Texans?
- 31:51Speaker 3: You're close. Katie, do you know it?
- 31:53Speaker 7: The Cowboys.
- 31:54Speaker 5: The Dallas Cowboys.
- 31:55Speaker 14: That is what we're looking for.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Everybody got their football trivia today.
- 31:59Speaker 20: Wow.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Noise machine. It's hard. It's hard.
- 32:03Speaker 6: Not for Katie.
- 32:04Speaker 3: All right.
- 32:05Speaker 5: I was in my room watching Mr. Beast's new video,
- 32:09Speaker 5: and my son was watching the Cardinals game. And he
- 32:13Speaker 5: kept giving me, we're winning, we're winning. And then all
- 32:15Speaker 5: of a sudden it was just a disaster.
- 32:16Speaker 7: Like the last 11 seconds.
- 32:17Speaker 5: And I was like, oh man, come sit down and
- 32:20Speaker 5: watch Mr. Beast's video.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Hey, Katie, hold on.
- 32:21Speaker 5: We're going to sit down with Sombra. Hold on.
- 32:23Speaker 18: All right, thank you.
- 32:24Speaker 3: You got it. Thanks for listening.
- 32:25Speaker 5: By the way, speaking of Mr. Beast, I don't know
- 32:27Speaker 5: if you guys ever watch his videos, but my sister
- 32:29Speaker 5: works for him. And the episode that dropped on Saturday,
- 32:33Speaker 5: which is the grocery store episode.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Is that people who live inside the store?
- 32:37Speaker 5: He told these four guys, he bought a grocery store, Mr. Beast,
- 32:40Speaker 5: filled it with food and said, You have to eat.
- 32:44Speaker 5: You can win a million dollars. You have to eat
- 32:46Speaker 5: all these calories of food. You can't waste a calorie.
- 32:48Speaker 5: If you waste a calorie, like they dropped a blueberry,
- 32:50Speaker 5: that's 20 calories. They take $ 20 away from the million dollars.
- 32:53Speaker 5: And whoever can, if they could stay there for a
- 32:55Speaker 5: certain amount of time, and I think they stayed there
- 32:57Speaker 5: almost a year or something, nine months or something, they
- 33:00Speaker 5: split a million bucks. And it was my sister's show.
- 33:04Speaker 5: She was in charge of it, and it dropped, and
- 33:06Speaker 5: it's broken all kinds of records for Mr.
- 33:08Speaker 13: Beast.
- 33:08Speaker 5: It's pretty cool.
- 33:09Speaker 3: I'm really proud of her. Yeah, that's awesome. Mr.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Beast is beside himself. I checked last night, it had
- 33:15Speaker 5: 85 million views in one day.
- 33:17Speaker 9: Wow.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I know, man.
- 33:18Speaker 7: That's insane.
- 33:20Speaker 5: This guy has got crazy stuff that you can't even...
- 33:23Speaker 5: I mean, I think about it. We have 20,000 followers
- 33:25Speaker 5: on our YouTube page.
- 33:26Speaker 4: He's on a completely different universal level there, that guy.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Just crazy.
- 33:30Speaker 5: So anyway, if you get a chance... I want to
- 33:32Speaker 5: promote it as much as I can because I want
- 33:33Speaker 5: my sister to get all the credit for it. So far,
- 33:35Speaker 5: he's given her all the credit. So it's YouTube, MrBeastChannel,
- 33:38Speaker 5: and it's the grocery store. And you can buy merch.
- 33:42Speaker 5: I've never seen this before. You're watching YouTube, and it'll pause,
- 33:45Speaker 5: and it'll be like they'll put up a QR code.
- 33:46Speaker 3: And you can buy this merch. I bought this.
- 33:48Speaker 5: There's a Mexican guy named Juan who's living in the store,
- 33:50Speaker 5: and I bought merch to support Juan. It's great.
- 33:52Speaker 3: I love it. He's a great guy.
- 33:54Speaker 20: The next segment we're going to do is called Second
- 33:56Speaker 20: Date Update because that's what we're going to try and get,
- 33:59Speaker 20: and that's what the bit is called. Second Date Update
- 34:02Speaker 20: starts right now on John Jay and Rich.
- 34:05Speaker 5: It's time for Second Date Update. You meet somebody on
- 34:07Speaker 5: an app, a church, a bar, through your parents. However,
- 34:10Speaker 5: you go on a date with them. You have a
- 34:12Speaker 5: great time. You expect there to be a second date,
- 34:14Speaker 5: and there isn't one. And you don't know why you
- 34:16Speaker 5: haven't got called for the second date. So you come
- 34:18Speaker 5: to us. We're going to find out why. Let us
- 34:20Speaker 5: say hello to Fiona. Good morning, Fiona. Welcome to Second
- 34:22Speaker 5: Date Update. John Jay and Rich.
- 34:24Speaker 26: Good morning.
- 34:25Speaker 9: Hi.
- 34:25Speaker 22: Hi.
- 34:26Speaker 3: What's your story?
- 34:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 34:28Speaker 26: So I went on this date with this guy, and
- 34:31Speaker 26: now he's completely ghosting me.
- 34:33Speaker 13: And.
- 34:34Speaker 26: I mean, at this point, I am honestly just, like,
- 34:36Speaker 26: more confused than her because I don't really understand why
- 34:39Speaker 26: he would ghost me. Because I paid for the entire dinner. Like,
- 34:44Speaker 26: the entire meal I paid for. And I felt like
- 34:47Speaker 26: I was the one that was carrying on the conversation
- 34:49Speaker 26: the entire time. Like, almost to the level where I
- 34:52Speaker 26: felt like I was an interviewer and he was, like,
- 34:54Speaker 26: a candidate, like, at a job or something. And I
- 34:56Speaker 26: was asking all the questions. And I was, like, trying
- 34:59Speaker 26: to keep it fun, make sure there weren't awkward silences. And, like,
- 35:02Speaker 26: I just feel like I did... the heavy lifting. And
- 35:06Speaker 26: I didn't even think the date was even that bad.
- 35:09Speaker 26: Like even with me doing all that work, I felt like, okay,
- 35:11Speaker 26: this like still isn't bad. But now I'm sitting here like,
- 35:15Speaker 26: why would you be ghosting me after I fed you
- 35:18Speaker 26: and like entertained you for like over two hours? I
- 35:21Speaker 26: just think that's actually insane behavior. So I just want
- 35:25Speaker 26: to know what happened at this point. And it's less
- 35:27Speaker 26: about like getting another date and more about just like,
- 35:29Speaker 26: I don't know, the like audacity of this man.
- 35:32Speaker 5: I get it, I get it.
- 35:34Speaker 4: He should be wanting to get a second date with you.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:37Speaker 11: I mean, that's what I thought.
- 35:38Speaker 26: I was like, I think I'm a great date. So
- 35:40Speaker 26: I'm just really confused.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Did the date end with any kind of romance or
- 35:43Speaker 5: make out session or anything?
- 35:46Speaker 26: Definitely not like a make out, but I definitely thought
- 35:48Speaker 26: that we held eye contact really well, especially at the end.
- 35:51Speaker 26: So I felt kind of this like lingering thing. I
- 35:54Speaker 26: was like, okay, well maybe he's just shy and he,
- 35:57Speaker 26: you know, is trying to be respectful, which I actually
- 36:00Speaker 26: really liked.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Was there anything like, you know, at the end of
- 36:02Speaker 5: the day, like, hey, did he text you to make
- 36:05Speaker 5: sure you got home safe? Was there any caring at all?
- 36:08Speaker 26: He didn't text me. But again, I felt like, you know,
- 36:11Speaker 26: maybe he's like trying not to come on too strong
- 36:12Speaker 26: because he really did like me, you know, like, because
- 36:15Speaker 26: I just, I was feeling like we had vibes. during
- 36:17Speaker 26: the date. So I was just kind of confused.
- 36:20Speaker 6: I hope that's not his MO, like just going on
- 36:22Speaker 6: dates just to get a free meal. Like, how did
- 36:24Speaker 6: you end up paying for the, like for the meal? Like,
- 36:27Speaker 6: what did he forget his card? Or were you like, Oh,
- 36:29Speaker 6: I got it. Like, cause I don't think I would
- 36:31Speaker 6: be down to pay for her first date.
- 36:33Speaker 26: I wouldn't, but I felt like he like went to
- 36:35Speaker 26: the bathroom right before the check came. And I felt
- 36:38Speaker 26: like he was kind of gone for a little bit.
- 36:40Speaker 26: So I was like, you know what? I'll get this
- 36:42Speaker 26: first one. Maybe he will think that that's like nice
- 36:44Speaker 26: or cute or something. Cause I'm sure he's so used
- 36:46Speaker 26: to like paying for meals. I would think that was
- 36:51Speaker 26: like kind of cute and cheeky, but he didn't even
- 36:54Speaker 26: really thank me.
- 36:55Speaker 3: He just kind of, that's weird.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:57Speaker 16: It got weird.
- 36:58Speaker 4: You think something happened when he was gone to go
- 37:00Speaker 4: to the bathroom?
- 37:01Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 37:02Speaker 26: I just like, well, then I was like, well, maybe
- 37:03Speaker 26: he's like sick. Maybe he doesn't like feel super gray.
- 37:05Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 37:06Speaker 5: It was so long.
- 37:06Speaker 26: I was just like, okay, at this point, I'm just
- 37:08Speaker 26: going to pay for it. And I mean, if I
- 37:10Speaker 26: was a man, I would think that that was like
- 37:12Speaker 26: nice and like sweet.
- 37:13Speaker 4: For sure.
- 37:14Speaker 5: I wouldn't know. That would bother me.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Maybe that's it.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Maybe that's it.
- 37:16Speaker 5: Maybe it's like you took away his chivalry.
- 37:19Speaker 6: Why would he leave right at that time conveniently and
- 37:22Speaker 6: also like if you come back and you realize your
- 37:24Speaker 6: date picked up the tab like hey what's your Venmo
- 37:26Speaker 6: so I can send.
- 37:27Speaker 7: You some money thank you yeah or at least that
- 37:31Speaker 7: was really nice of you.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Maybe he was humiliated maybe he comes from a culture
- 37:33Speaker 5: where that's not cool I remember going to dinner with
- 37:36Speaker 5: a guy from another country two different guys from two
- 37:39Speaker 5: different countries and it's their culture where they pick up
- 37:42Speaker 5: the tab and if you don't they get so pissed
- 37:44Speaker 5: off and insulted I want to hang out with them
- 37:46Speaker 5: so alright what's his name Fiona William.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Okay, we're going to call William.
- 37:50Speaker 5: We're going to find out why he's blowing you off.
- 37:52Speaker 5: Second Aid Update continues next with John Jane Rich. We're
- 37:58Speaker 5: in the middle of Second Aid Update.
- 38:00Speaker 4: This is the story of Fiona and William, the romantic
- 38:04Speaker 4: comedy that never was. Why would a guy ghost Fiona,
- 38:08Speaker 4: especially when she paid for the entire night? She did
- 38:12Speaker 4: all the talking. She asked questions. She brought the entertainment.
- 38:16Speaker 4: She gave, as she says, good date. But he is
- 38:20Speaker 4: not responding at all. The vibe check. The second date
- 38:25Speaker 4: update starts right now.
- 38:27Speaker 3: You know, it's interesting.
- 38:28Speaker 5: Before you patch them through, I keep thinking Princess Fiona.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Isn't that Shrek? Yeah.
- 38:34Speaker 5: And there's a Prince William.
- 38:35Speaker 3: A real one. We got a little Prince action going
- 38:38Speaker 3: on here.
- 38:38Speaker 7: Very royal.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Anyway, Fiona, are you ready?
- 38:41Speaker 26: Yes, I'm so ready to find out.
- 38:42Speaker 15: All right.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Patch him through.
- 38:44Speaker 5: He's cool to go on air.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Hold on a second.
- 38:45Speaker 11: Hey, William. Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 5: Hey, you're cool jumping on the air with us real quick, right?
- 38:50Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Okay, so listen. We're talking to Fiona. She says you're
- 38:54Speaker 5: ghosting her. You went on a date. She asked us
- 38:58Speaker 5: to find out why. I thought we'd just kind of
- 39:00Speaker 5: get to it. Why are you blowing her off?
- 39:01Speaker 3: What happened? What are we missing here?
- 39:03Speaker 4: Dude, she's like six foot three, man.
- 39:06Speaker 12: Like she's the.
- 39:07Speaker 8: Jolly green giant. I'm five, 11 and a half.
- 39:10Speaker 3: And I showed up and immediately was like, absolutely not.
- 39:14Speaker 25: Like I've never climbed a tree before and I'm not
- 39:16Speaker 25: going to start now.
- 39:17Speaker 8: Like she did the whole time. She just kept talking
- 39:20Speaker 8: and I'm just sitting And I'm thinking, how the did
- 39:23Speaker 8: you leave six and three out of the conversation? Like,
- 39:27Speaker 8: I like my girl's little i want i want to
- 39:29Speaker 8: look down i don't want to be making eye contact
- 39:31Speaker 8: with your collarbone she's kind of a cool girl or
- 39:34Speaker 8: whatever but like I'm not trying to date someone who
- 39:36Speaker 8: can get things off the top shelf for me. You
- 39:38Speaker 8: know what I'm saying?
- 39:39Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 39:40Speaker 26: You talk about short man syndrome.
- 39:43Speaker 16: William, you are pathetic.
- 39:45Speaker 11: So pathetic.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Of course she's on the phone.
- 39:48Speaker 13: All right.
- 39:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm on the phone, dipshit.
- 39:51Speaker 26: You had no problem sitting across from my 6'3 ass
- 39:54Speaker 26: when I was paying for your dinner.
- 39:56Speaker 8: Can I not like tall girls?
- 39:58Speaker 21: Is that illegal now?
- 39:59Speaker 26: You can like whoever you want. Just don't be a
- 40:02Speaker 26: dick about it.
- 40:03Speaker 8: Fair i'm not being a but i'm just saying you're
- 40:06Speaker 8: taller than me that's not what i'm into you.
- 40:09Speaker 26: Literally just called me the jolly green giant like that's
- 40:12Speaker 26: not a preference like that's you just being like.
- 40:14Speaker 8: A loser okay well you also never told me you're
- 40:17Speaker 8: six three was.
- 40:19Speaker 26: I supposed to send you my like stats before the.
- 40:22Speaker 8: Date i mean if you play in the wmba yeah
- 40:25Speaker 8: a heads up would.
- 40:26Speaker 15: Have been nice You are 5'11 and a half.
- 40:30Speaker 26: Also, the fact that you keep including the half, like,
- 40:33Speaker 26: tells me everything.
- 40:36Speaker 13: I need to know about you.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Because I am.
- 40:39Speaker 9: I'm 5'11 and a half.
- 40:41Speaker 13: Oh, my God.
- 40:42Speaker 9: Congratulations.
- 40:43Speaker 26: Congratulations. Put it on your booster seat next time you
- 40:46Speaker 26: go to a restaurant.
- 40:48Speaker 22: See, now you're making fun of me in my height.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Have you stopped growing? Do you think there's a chance
- 40:53Speaker 4: you might hit a growth spurt there, William?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Maybe catch up?
- 40:55Speaker 5: Anything's possible.
- 40:56Speaker 15: Anything's possible.
- 40:58Speaker 6: I don't know, William. It just seems like like you
- 40:59Speaker 6: can definitely like have a preference by all means.
- 41:03Speaker 15: But like, yeah, I mean, you.
- 41:05Speaker 6: Can communicate about it or like in the middle of
- 41:08Speaker 6: the date. You know what I mean? Let's try to
- 41:10Speaker 6: engage in the conversation, because what Fiona was telling us
- 41:12Speaker 6: was that she was carrying the whole thing.
- 41:14Speaker 7: Also, I think it's like you weren't planning on having
- 41:17Speaker 7: another date, at least paying for half of the meal
- 41:19Speaker 7: or thanking her for the meal. That would be one
- 41:21Speaker 7: thing I was I was like, oh, OK, he doesn't
- 41:24Speaker 7: know she's on the phone and he's saying all these things.
- 41:27Speaker 7: But then you know she was on the phone, and
- 41:28Speaker 7: then you kept saying all the things. So I was like,
- 41:30Speaker 7: I can't really– there's no really excuse for it. You
- 41:32Speaker 7: just are kind of not that nice.
- 41:35Speaker 8: I mean, she just whipped out the credit card, and
- 41:38Speaker 8: I was like, all right, well, I'm not going to
- 41:41Speaker 8: stop her.
- 41:41Speaker 25: But at the same time, like, she knows. She knows she's,
- 41:47Speaker 25: you know, like an NBA player. Like, she should– She
- 41:52Speaker 25: should warn you?
- 41:53Speaker 11: Why?
- 41:53Speaker 8: If I had– Some physical abnormality.
- 41:56Speaker 3: I might.
- 41:56Speaker 14: What?
- 41:57Speaker 22: Abnormality?
- 41:59Speaker 12: Yeah, it's abnormal.
- 42:01Speaker 4: For a woman to be 6'3. Oh, that's ridiculous.
- 42:03Speaker 12: And it's normal.
- 42:04Speaker 6: Okay, now you sound.
- 42:05Speaker 12: You're going to go with that's normal.
- 42:07Speaker 8: There's a bunch of you Amazonians walking around.
- 42:10Speaker 12: I don't think so.
- 42:11Speaker 7: See, it's like you can't even like him a little bit.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Also, I know plenty of people that love a stallion. So,
- 42:18Speaker 6: I mean, obviously, like, I mean, Fiona, he's not the
- 42:21Speaker 6: one for you. I feel like his insecurities are probably
- 42:24Speaker 6: definitely coming out.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Yeah, our phone's going to blow up for Fiona, first
- 42:27Speaker 4: of all.
- 42:27Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 4: She's tall.
- 42:29Speaker 3: She's pretty.
- 42:29Speaker 4: And she pays for dinner. It's going to never stop.
- 42:32Speaker 5: Also, though, his whole personality is rubbing me the wrong way.
- 42:36Speaker 5: But if you strip apart the personality... I could see
- 42:38Speaker 5: how in the conversation before the date, it should be
- 42:41Speaker 5: mentioned that, by the way, like if he was 5'2,
- 42:44Speaker 5: if he was a short guy and you're going, hey,
- 42:46Speaker 5: by the way, I'm whatever. I think height comes up
- 42:50Speaker 5: a lot on everything. So I would think that it
- 42:52Speaker 5: should have come up.
- 42:53Speaker 12: If I showed up in a wheelchair, you'd be like,
- 42:55Speaker 12: why didn't you mention this?
- 42:56Speaker 5: At the same time, I don't know, Fiona, are you
- 42:58Speaker 5: at all insecure about your height?
- 42:59Speaker 3: You could be.
- 43:00Speaker 5: I'm not saying you should be, but are you?
- 43:02Speaker 20: No, I'm not.
- 43:03Speaker 26: And I actually feel like a lot of men like it.
- 43:06Speaker 26: Even men that are, like, I've dated men that are 5'10, 5'11.
- 43:08Speaker 13: Right.
- 43:08Speaker 26: Probably the shortest they go is, like, probably 5'9, if
- 43:12Speaker 26: he's amazing. But, yeah, I've dated men. They love it.
- 43:14Speaker 21: And they think I'm hot.
- 43:15Speaker 26: And I'm, like, a model.
- 43:16Speaker 14: I get it.
- 43:17Speaker 16: At least that's what they've said.
- 43:18Speaker 15: They, like, love it.
- 43:19Speaker 16: So he should be secure.
- 43:21Speaker 5: I would just think that it would come up in
- 43:22Speaker 5: a conversation before the date.
- 43:24Speaker 8: But I can't.
- 43:25Speaker 10: Like.
- 43:26Speaker 6: Unless Fiona assumes that William's like five.
- 43:29Speaker 5: Short kings at 5'8? No, also calling you a short
- 43:31Speaker 5: king at five. I don't think 5'11 is short at all.
- 43:33Speaker 5: 5'11 and a half is not short. But when you're 6'3,
- 43:36Speaker 5: I can see it.
- 43:36Speaker 6: But he's giving that energy, you know?
- 43:39Speaker 12: I know.
- 43:39Speaker 5: So at any rate, she wanted to know why you
- 43:41Speaker 5: were blowing her off. She didn't want a second date
- 43:43Speaker 5: with you. She just wanted to know. So Fiona, you
- 43:45Speaker 5: got the answer. He's insecure about your height. It's not you.
- 43:49Speaker 26: Got it, and I'm glad I know now. And I
- 43:51Speaker 26: think everybody here knows now, and.
- 43:53Speaker 15: You're a loser.
- 43:54Speaker 5: It's not like he's a nice guy, and she's too tall.
- 43:58Speaker 5: It's not like he's a nice guy going, she's just
- 44:01Speaker 5: too tall for me. It's like he's saying she's too tall,
- 44:05Speaker 5: and he's rude about it.
- 44:06Speaker 7: In like a mean way, yeah.
- 44:09Speaker 5: All right, William, thanks for jumping on the air with us. Fiona,
- 44:12Speaker 5: we will find you a tall person if you want.
- 44:14Speaker 5: We can find you great people.
- 44:16Speaker 3: I would love that.
- 44:17Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 44:18Speaker 3: We'll hold on to that.
- 44:19Speaker 5: That's seconded up at you guys.
- 44:21Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich.
- 44:22Speaker 6: Hey, don't tell anybody.
- 44:23Speaker 1: John Jay and Rich gave me their personal cell phone number.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Where's my freaking phone? 877-937-1047. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 44:34Speaker 5: It is spooky season. And we are now kicking off
- 44:37Speaker 5: the John Jay and Rich spooky season with what we
- 44:39Speaker 5: do every year. We find out about what are you
- 44:42Speaker 5: afraid of? That's irrational and irrational fear.
- 44:45Speaker 4: You know, it's a little silly. But you're still a
- 44:48Speaker 4: little scared.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Like Jessica? You.
- 44:50Speaker 5: What's your irrational fear, Jessica?
- 44:53Speaker 21: I'm terrified of touching ice cubes.
- 44:57Speaker 5: You're terrified of picking ice cubes?
- 44:59Speaker 9: Touching?
- 44:59Speaker 21: Touching them.
- 45:00Speaker 5: Oh, touching ice cubes.
- 45:01Speaker 6: Because of the cold?
- 45:02Speaker 13: Yeah, I can't stand the thought of touching an ice cube.
- 45:06Speaker 4: With your mouth while you're drinking, it's okay. But you're
- 45:08Speaker 4: just saying with your fingers?
- 45:10Speaker 12: Yes.
- 45:10Speaker 7: Do you know where that comes from?
- 45:12Speaker 21: I think it's because when I was young, we always.
- 45:15Speaker 16: Watched Christmas Story when he.
- 45:17Speaker 11: Got his tongue stuck in a pole. I think it
- 45:21Speaker 11: traumatized me.
- 45:22Speaker 3: I only know that from Dumb and Dumber. Was that
- 45:24Speaker 3: on Dumb and Dumber? He got his tongue stuck in
- 45:26Speaker 3: a pole?
- 45:26Speaker 5: Was it also in Christmas Story?
- 45:27Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 45:27Speaker 5: I never saw Christmas Story, so I don't know.
- 45:30Speaker 11: Oh, you must not.
- 45:31Speaker 3: I hear that every year.
- 45:32Speaker 7: You never saw I'll Shoot Your Eye Out?
- 45:33Speaker 12: No.
- 45:34Speaker 13: What?
- 45:35Speaker 11: Mm-mm.
- 45:36Speaker 4: I kind of wonder how you've missed it. They play
- 45:39Speaker 4: that 24-7. Let me tell.
- 45:40Speaker 5: You how many times we've talked about this. You've actually
- 45:42Speaker 5: given me the DVD. Jessica, thanks for calling in. Irrational fears. Mary,
- 45:50Speaker 5: what's yours?
- 45:51Speaker 18: My irrational fear is empty swimming pools.
- 45:55Speaker 5: Empty swimming pools.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Why?
- 45:57Speaker 18: It wouldn't be irrational if I knew. When I was
- 46:03Speaker 18: a kid... My school was right next to like a
- 46:05Speaker 18: big kind of like regional park. And they had one
- 46:08Speaker 18: of those huge community pools that had like Olympic lanes
- 46:12Speaker 18: and a diving side. And in the winter, they would
- 46:15Speaker 18: drain the pool. And I would see it every day,
- 46:20Speaker 18: like going into school. And I just, I couldn't look
- 46:24Speaker 18: at it. And my breathing would get labored. I wouldn't
- 46:28Speaker 18: be hyperventilating, but I would feel this weird, like, just
- 46:32Speaker 18: like oppressive weight in my body. I, I were like,
- 46:37Speaker 18: I don't know if you're like a reincarnation person. Did
- 46:40Speaker 18: I drown in a past life?
- 46:42Speaker 26: I don't know.
- 46:42Speaker 3: That makes sense.
- 46:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 46:43Speaker 18: Empty swimming pools like freak me out even to this day.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Makes sense to me. Isn't that what happened to Barb
- 46:48Speaker 4: in the upside down and stranger things?
- 46:51Speaker 6: She was in a pool.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 5: Um, Mary, when I was a kid and I grew
- 46:55Speaker 5: up in Tucson, we lived in the hood and I'd
- 46:57Speaker 5: have to walk to school and there was an abandoned
- 46:59Speaker 5: house on the way to school. that we all thought
- 47:02Speaker 5: was haunted. So every time we had to walk in
- 47:04Speaker 5: front of the house, we would sprint in the backyard.
- 47:06Speaker 5: It had an empty pool, and the rumor was someone
- 47:09Speaker 5: drowned there. Oh, that's creepy.
- 47:10Speaker 14: It was so scary.
- 47:13Speaker 5: I just think now as an adult, I think it
- 47:14Speaker 5: was just for sale. I don't know.
- 47:19Speaker 3: Thanks, Mary.
- 47:19Speaker 5: Hey, I mean, irrational fear. I think we've all talked
- 47:22Speaker 5: about this before. You're in the swimming pool, and you
- 47:23Speaker 5: think somebody's going to grab you by the ankle and
- 47:24Speaker 5: pull you underwater.
- 47:25Speaker 7: I always think a shark is in there.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Always.
- 47:27Speaker 5: That's irrational fear.
- 47:28Speaker 4: Irrational.
- 47:29Speaker 3: Thanks, Mary.
- 47:30Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Sammy.
- 47:32Speaker 11: My irrational fear is Michael Myers, and I still have
- 47:36Speaker 11: to check in my closets and underneath my bed, and
- 47:39Speaker 11: I'm 41 years old.
- 47:41Speaker 4: That makes sense to me. You see that stuff? When
- 47:43Speaker 4: you see that way too early, like most of us did,
- 47:46Speaker 4: that stays with you. You think it's real.
- 47:48Speaker 6: But it's only Michael Myers specifically. It's not just a
- 47:50Speaker 6: random man under your bed or in your closet.
- 47:52Speaker 10: No, it's Michael.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Honestly, I still don't like to sleep with, like, a
- 47:59Speaker 4: leg or an arm hanging over the side of the bed.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Grow up, Rich.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Something will get it.
- 48:04Speaker 6: No, I get that.
- 48:05Speaker 4: I feel you.
- 48:06Speaker 15: You know?
- 48:07Speaker 4: You're just leaving yourself exposed. If you're on the bed,
- 48:10Speaker 4: under the covers, you are safe.
- 48:11Speaker 6: Right, because, I mean, whatever, like, intruder or monster that's
- 48:15Speaker 6: in there isn't going to take you.
- 48:16Speaker 4: They can't violate that.
- 48:19Speaker 11: No, if I'm under the bed, or if I'm under
- 48:21Speaker 11: the covers in bed, and the closet door is open...
- 48:25Speaker 11: My husband has to get out of bed and look
- 48:27Speaker 11: in the closet and shut it before he's allowed to
- 48:30Speaker 11: get back in bed.
- 48:31Speaker 6: Well, that makes sense because closets are portals anyway, so
- 48:33Speaker 6: you should definitely be shutting your closets at night anyway.
- 48:36Speaker 4: Yeah, we're not helping Sammy at all here.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Are we?
- 48:38Speaker 11: No. I just feel very justified for my behaviors.
- 48:41Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 48:42Speaker 11: At 41 years old.
- 48:43Speaker 7: Do you think, like, it would be— you would, like, leave
- 48:47Speaker 7: your husband if he ever just, like, put a Michael
- 48:49Speaker 7: Myers mask in your closet just to prank you? That
- 48:52Speaker 7: would be messed up.
- 48:53Speaker 11: Oh, he would never.
- 48:54Speaker 5: What if it was like, while you guys were making love,
- 48:58Speaker 5: he put it on in the middle?
- 48:59Speaker 6: Ew.
- 49:00Speaker 11: Oh, he'd get punched so hard in the face.
- 49:03Speaker 4: He should really hire somebody during that. Pop out of
- 49:06Speaker 4: your closet.
- 49:06Speaker 11: Okay, so that's where it all stemmed from was my
- 49:09Speaker 11: dad did this to me as a kid.
- 49:10Speaker 12: Oh.
- 49:12Speaker 4: We lived in.
- 49:13Speaker 11: The outskirts of Illinois in the suburbs, and we had
- 49:17Speaker 11: a boat that used to go out in Lake Michigan. Well,
- 49:20Speaker 11: it was like a yacht. So during the wintertime, he'd
- 49:23Speaker 11: put it next to the house and me and my
- 49:25Speaker 11: little friends would all want to sleep in it. And
- 49:27Speaker 11: then he would come up, you know, like the bow
- 49:29Speaker 11: of the boat where they got the little windows. He'd
- 49:32Speaker 11: come up with his Michael Myers mask and scare us all.
- 49:37Speaker 11: One time he sent my mom out to go get
- 49:38Speaker 11: pizza and And all I saw in the ditch was
- 49:41Speaker 11: her car and then being carried across the field.
- 49:44Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 49:45Speaker 6: He went too far.
- 49:48Speaker 5: So he went falling. So I just created a whole
- 49:50Speaker 5: Saturday Night Live skit by something you just said. You
- 49:53Speaker 5: said he would scare us all. What if there's a
- 49:55Speaker 5: Saturday Night Live skit where there's a can of spray
- 49:57Speaker 5: and it scares us all? For Halloween, he'd spray and
- 49:59Speaker 5: everybody screams. Wow!
- 50:00Speaker 7: Scares us all.
- 50:03Speaker 5: Take it, SNL. Sammy, thanks for calling in.
- 50:06Speaker 11: Yeah, no problem.
- 50:08Speaker 3: Daisy, what's your irrational fear?
- 50:11Speaker 19: So mine, last year, it was last year, it was
- 50:14Speaker 19: the heater, my heater. So basically, for some reason, well,
- 50:20Speaker 19: not for some reason, my rental company changed to a
- 50:24Speaker 19: digital thermostat. Something triggered in me, and every time it
- 50:29Speaker 19: would turn on, I would lose my cool.
- 50:31Speaker 24: I don't know why.
- 50:32Speaker 19: But I guess, long story short, I got diagnosed with OCD.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Oh, you did?
- 50:39Speaker 4: Well, she's not wrong. She lost her cool because the
- 50:42Speaker 4: heater was on. That's how you lose your cool. It
- 50:44Speaker 4: gets warm.
- 50:46Speaker 24: Yeah, but it was so bad. It was so bad where, like,
- 50:49Speaker 24: I don't know what triggered it, but seeing it and
- 50:52Speaker 24: seeing the temperature on my wall, like, every time it
- 50:54Speaker 24: would turn on, I would, like, pace. I would, like,
- 50:57Speaker 24: it was so bad. I stopped eating for two weeks,
- 50:59Speaker 24: ended up in the ER.
- 51:00Speaker 7: Oh, my gosh, you poor thing.
- 51:01Speaker 19: Yeah, but then it's OCD again. I guess repetitive things
- 51:06Speaker 19: annoy me apparently, but I'm medicated now.
- 51:09Speaker 11: I think I'm okay.
- 51:10Speaker 4: You sound good.
- 51:10Speaker 5: What medicine do you take for OCD?
- 51:13Speaker 19: Uh, they have me on Sertraline.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Never heard of it. That's the thing.
- 51:18Speaker 5: It's like irrational fears. Like I'm afraid we talked about
- 51:21Speaker 5: being a swimming pool and someone grabbed my leg and
- 51:23Speaker 5: pulled me under and that couldn't happen. Other than that,
- 51:25Speaker 5: I think all the things I'm afraid of are legitimate,
- 51:28Speaker 5: like scorpion snakes, murderers, serial killers. Like to me, those are,
- 51:33Speaker 5: To be afraid of a serial killer makes perfect sense
- 51:34Speaker 5: to me.
- 51:35Speaker 3: I feel like they're out there. What is it?
- 51:36Speaker 5: Like in your lifetime, you've passed 20 serial killers in
- 51:38Speaker 5: your life?
- 51:39Speaker 3: Which is wild.
- 51:40Speaker 16: Right.
- 51:40Speaker 5: So that's a fact. That's a medical fact.
- 51:42Speaker 4: I feel like that on the road. If somebody passes
- 51:44Speaker 4: me because I'm going too slow, I think they're going
- 51:45Speaker 4: to shoot at me. Oh, geez.
- 51:48Speaker 3: Well, that could happen. That's not irrational.
- 51:50Speaker 4: Well, yours, I think, is because you're afraid that the
- 51:53Speaker 4: serial killer in your world, and you think this totally
- 51:56Speaker 4: makes sense, is somehow holding their breath in your cold
- 52:00Speaker 4: plunge waiting for you to get in.
- 52:01Speaker 5: That's why it's irrational. That's the one irrational fear I have.
- 52:05Speaker 5: The rest seem rational. In fact, if you guys watch
- 52:07Speaker 5: the show, and I know we were talking about this yesterday,
- 52:09Speaker 5: but you guys didn't watch it, Kyle and Peyton, but
- 52:11Speaker 5: it's lanterns. One of the things to be the green
- 52:13Speaker 5: lantern is you can't ever show fear and have no fear.
- 52:17Speaker 5: They would never hire me as a Green Lantern because
- 52:19Speaker 5: I'm afraid of a lot of things.
- 52:20Speaker 4: As you should be.
- 52:21Speaker 5: I know, but the Green Lantern guy is not afraid
- 52:23Speaker 5: of anything. Anyway, I highly recommend Green Lantern on HBO.
- 52:27Speaker 5: Peyton has a Halloween dilemma.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Am I right, Peyton? Yeah. What is it really quick?
- 52:31Speaker 6: So I was talking to my husband, Kadeem, and we, a.k.a. I,
- 52:36Speaker 6: have decided that we're going to be Spider-Man and MJ
- 52:39Speaker 6: on Halloween when we're handing out candy to all the kids, right?
- 52:42Speaker 11: Cute.
- 52:42Speaker 6: But he is protesting because he says that technically he
- 52:47Speaker 6: would be the only one in a costume because me
- 52:49Speaker 6: dressing up as MJ isn't really a costume. And I disagree.
- 52:52Speaker 7: But I kind of agree with Kadeem. Like, how do
- 52:55Speaker 7: you dress as MJ?
- 52:56Speaker 5: You'd be dressed like yourself.
- 52:56Speaker 6: I would put on some glasses. I would maybe, you know...
- 52:59Speaker 6: Do like a blowout with my hair.
- 53:01Speaker 7: But what are you actually wearing? Just normal clothes, right?
- 53:04Speaker 6: Cargo pants and a white t-shirt and a flannel.
- 53:07Speaker 7: You're not in a costume just because you put on glasses.
- 53:11Speaker 4: I think the glasses.
- 53:12Speaker 7: Make it the costume. No, because you've worn the glasses
- 53:16Speaker 7: on a regular day.
- 53:17Speaker 5: It was like one year for Halloween, I went as
- 53:19Speaker 5: Joey from Friends. Because I was just wearing a shirt
- 53:23Speaker 5: and a pair of pants.
- 53:23Speaker 17: Right.
- 53:24Speaker 5: No way. It's not really a costume.
- 53:25Speaker 3: No way.
- 53:26Speaker 5: I just showed up to the party as I was.
- 53:27Speaker 6: Well, he needs to take one for the team and
- 53:28Speaker 6: just dress up as Spider-Man.
- 53:30Speaker 4: I don't think he's protesting that. He's protesting you not
- 53:32Speaker 4: dressing up.
- 53:33Speaker 3: If he dresses up as Spider-Man, you should dress up
- 53:36Speaker 3: as the female Spider-Man.
- 53:37Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Who was that?
- 53:38Speaker 5: Spider-Gwen.
- 53:39Speaker 4: Black Widow? What are you thinking of?
- 53:40Speaker 18: No.
- 53:41Speaker 5: I feel like it was What's-Her-Face from Stranger Things. Oh,
- 53:44Speaker 5: she was Jean What's-Her-Face.
- 53:45Speaker 7: I was thinking the cartoon one.
- 53:46Speaker 24: I was too.
- 53:47Speaker 17: The pink and white one.
- 53:47Speaker 14: The pink and white one.
- 53:48Speaker 6: That's the one I was thinking of.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Madam Web.
- 53:50Speaker 6: We'll see.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 53:52Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 53:52Speaker 5: By the way, you know the first call we took?
- 53:55Speaker 5: The first call we took, Jessica was afraid of ice.
- 53:58Speaker 5: Nick is telling me that we didn't let her finish
- 54:01Speaker 5: her story. The comedy in it, she's afraid of ice.
- 54:04Speaker 5: Her last name is Zamboni. Jessica Zamboni, and she's afraid
- 54:08Speaker 5: of ice cubes.
- 54:09Speaker 4: That's a screamer for Nick. He's back there howling over
- 54:12Speaker 4: that one.
- 54:12Speaker 2: In the eternal battle of morning show supremacy, we are
- 54:19Speaker 2: one of them.
- 54:20Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Irrational fears.
- 54:23Speaker 5: Kristen, you have an irrational fear?
- 54:25Speaker 16: I do have an irrational fear. I'm terrified of mice.
- 54:30Speaker 5: Oh, my mom was just like that.
- 54:31Speaker 6: Yeah, me too.
- 54:31Speaker 5: My mom was crazy like that. Like, I mean.
- 54:34Speaker 11: Yeah, like.
- 54:35Speaker 16: Yeah, like I'm brutally terrified of mice. Like I will
- 54:38Speaker 16: push my kids down in front of me, sacrifice them.
- 54:41Speaker 1: To get away from mice.
- 54:42Speaker 4: That's fair.
- 54:43Speaker 3: I'm so scared.
- 54:44Speaker 16: I'm so scared of them. It's not even like legitimately
- 54:47Speaker 16: terrified of mice.
- 54:48Speaker 5: I know exactly what you're talking about. My mom was
- 54:50Speaker 5: a level 100. Like I remember one time I thought
- 54:52Speaker 5: it was so funny that she was scared of mice.
- 54:53Speaker 5: So I took a– you know those– they're like nylons.
- 54:57Speaker 5: They're not pantyhose, but they're like socks, but they're not pantyhose.
- 55:00Speaker 3: I took one. My mom would take them off and
- 55:01Speaker 3: be rolled up. I took one up and I.
- 55:02Speaker 5: Rolled a– I took a threading, like sewing– string and
- 55:06Speaker 5: i wrapped it around this little thing and i put
- 55:08Speaker 5: it in a big trash can in the kitchen and
- 55:11Speaker 5: i hid and when she walked by the kitchen i
- 55:13Speaker 5: pulled the string and it made a little like that
- 55:15Speaker 5: noise and she thought it was a mouse and she
- 55:17Speaker 5: screamed and fell and broke her arm oh.
- 55:19Speaker 25: No tell me you felt guilty i did feel guilty
- 55:23Speaker 25: but it was also hilarious.
- 55:27Speaker 16: Yeah i i can't i i like even if i
- 55:30Speaker 16: think it's If I think it's a mouse, I will
- 55:33Speaker 16: jump really hard. And, like, I've got back problems. So
- 55:36Speaker 16: if I'm jumping, I'm hurting myself pretty bad.
- 55:40Speaker 5: I think they're cute.
- 55:42Speaker 4: Terrifying.
- 55:43Speaker 5: We had a couple texts on yesterday. Someone said that
- 55:45Speaker 5: they have their rational fears. They're afraid of cotton.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Cotton?
- 55:49Speaker 14: Cotton.
- 55:49Speaker 16: Oh, the texture. I get that, though.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:52Speaker 5: Cotton was one.
- 55:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I've heard that, especially in pill bottles. You know,
- 55:55Speaker 4: when you have to reach past the cotton. To get
- 55:57Speaker 4: to the pill.
- 55:58Speaker 5: This person said their irrational fear is hopping insects, grasshoppers,
- 56:01Speaker 5: and crickets. Crickets just gross me out.
- 56:03Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 56:04Speaker 5: Well, Kristen, thanks for calling in.
- 56:05Speaker 16: Thank you guys so much.
- 56:07Speaker 11: You guys are awesome.
- 56:07Speaker 16: I listen to you all the time.
- 56:09Speaker 14: Thanks.
- 56:10Speaker 5: Have a great day. Whitney, you have an irrational fear?
- 56:13Speaker 12: Yes.
- 56:14Speaker 3: What is it?
- 56:15Speaker 15: It is bees.
- 56:16Speaker 16: I am so scared of bees.
- 56:18Speaker 18: Like, it's irrational.
- 56:19Speaker 5: I am so scared.
- 56:20Speaker 17: I think about it every single.
- 56:21Speaker 11: Time I step foot outside.
- 56:24Speaker 18: I have like an outdoor cat now.
- 56:26Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 56:26Speaker 11: It just started coming to my house.
- 56:28Speaker 18: I'm almost too scared to feed it sometimes because I'm like,
- 56:31Speaker 18: I know.
- 56:32Speaker 17: That there's bees out there.
- 56:33Speaker 15: I get scared going to the trash.
- 56:35Speaker 9: Can, putting my baby in the car, like everything, as
- 56:40Speaker 9: long as I'm outside.
- 56:41Speaker 18: And I've never even been stung by a bee.
- 56:43Speaker 6: That's the dumb thing.
- 56:44Speaker 18: Never even been stung by a bee.
- 56:45Speaker 11: So I don't even know if it hurts or not.
- 56:47Speaker 3: It's not like if you see the bee, you're just
- 56:50Speaker 3: always worried about bees.
- 56:52Speaker 24: Yeah, I really am.
- 56:54Speaker 19: I'm always worried about bees.
- 56:55Speaker 9: And if I do see.
- 56:56Speaker 18: It, then yeah, I'm like pure panic.
- 56:59Speaker 11: And I don't know what to do.
- 57:00Speaker 7: Do you feel like if you watched Bee Movie, it
- 57:02Speaker 7: might help? Because they're very friendly. They're very important.
- 57:05Speaker 4: That's the wasp you've got to look out for.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Wasps are jerks.
- 57:07Speaker 11: Yeah, that's what my husband says.
- 57:10Speaker 18: You have to watch out for the wasps, not the bees.
- 57:12Speaker 15: But I have watched.
- 57:13Speaker 18: The Bee Movie because I'm a mom of three girls.
- 57:16Speaker 12: But.
- 57:17Speaker 9: No.
- 57:18Speaker 17: I still don't think they're the funniest guys out.
- 57:22Speaker 9: There.
- 57:22Speaker 17: I want to like them, but I don't know if
- 57:24Speaker 17: I can.
- 57:24Speaker 15: I think they're cute.
- 57:25Speaker 18: They're fuzzy and cute, and they have a cute little
- 57:27Speaker 18: fuzzy butt, but no.
- 57:29Speaker 12: No.
- 57:29Speaker 4: If you went to a haunted house and there was
- 57:31Speaker 4: like a swarm, that would be kind of just a
- 57:33Speaker 4: nut house, wouldn't it?
- 57:35Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 57:35Speaker 4: We would get you. Whitney would be done.
- 57:37Speaker 24: Oh, my gosh. Yeah, you guys absolutely would.
- 57:40Speaker 15: I haven't thought about it.
- 57:41Speaker 24: It's so scary to me.
- 57:41Speaker 3: How would they do that?
- 57:42Speaker 4: Like a little tiny drones or something?
- 57:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 57:46Speaker 6: Expensive prank.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 57:48Speaker 5: Just use real bees.
- 57:49Speaker 3: Just use real bees.
- 57:50Speaker 14: Get it.
- 57:50Speaker 1: All right.
- 57:51Speaker 3: Thanks, Whitney.
- 57:52Speaker 12: Thanks. Thanks, guys.
- 57:54Speaker 15: Have a great day.
- 57:54Speaker 3: You too. Will, what's your irrational fear?
- 57:57Speaker 22: Guys, let me tell you.
- 57:58Speaker 8: Glitter.
- 57:59Speaker 13: Glitter.
- 57:59Speaker 22: I cannot stand glitter. I, like, avoided it at all costs.
- 58:05Speaker 22: My nieces, my sister has twins, and she buys them
- 58:08Speaker 22: everything with glitter on it, and I refuse to hug
- 58:12Speaker 22: them and anything. I just give them a bop on
- 58:14Speaker 22: the head.
- 58:14Speaker 5: I thought you meant the movie with Mariah Carey.
- 58:17Speaker 19: Yeah, that, too.
- 58:20Speaker 22: No, but glitter, it freaks me out. I see it
- 58:22Speaker 22: on everything. I see it everywhere, and it just, like,
- 58:24Speaker 22: I start itching.
- 58:25Speaker 4: You'll never get it out either.
- 58:26Speaker 5: I won't go to strip joints.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Too much glitter.
- 58:29Speaker 12: Oh, that's the worst.
- 58:30Speaker 22: When girls have glitter in their lotion.
- 58:32Speaker 4: Oh, I love that. I think that's the best.
- 58:35Speaker 8: Oh.
- 58:36Speaker 22: No, keep your shimmer over there.
- 58:37Speaker 3: All right. Thanks, Will. Thanks. All right. Michael, good morning.
- 58:42Speaker 3: What's your rational fear?
- 58:44Speaker 5: Cotton balls and Q-tips.
- 58:45Speaker 4: Yeah, cotton balls. There it is. What is it about
- 58:48Speaker 4: the cotton balls?
- 58:49Speaker 12: I ain't got a clue.
- 58:50Speaker 4: I went to the doctors one day and I asked
- 58:53Speaker 4: them to use something different.
- 58:54Speaker 3: Other than that, he's like, this is what I got
- 58:56Speaker 3: and put it in my wound. And I punched him out.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Punched him out?
- 59:00Speaker 5: What kind of wound did you have, by the way?
- 59:03Speaker 5: What was the wound?
- 59:03Speaker 16: I asked him nicely.
- 59:05Speaker 5: Can't do that.
- 59:06Speaker 4: Yeah, what did you get cut by? You should be
- 59:09Speaker 4: afraid of that.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Mailbox. Of course.
- 59:12Speaker 11: Sure.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Thanks, Michael.
- 59:15Speaker 5: Jessica, what's your irrational fear?
- 59:18Speaker 18: I have a really good one. I have an irrational
- 59:21Speaker 18: fear of butterflies and caterpillars.
- 59:24Speaker 4: They're so cute.
- 59:25Speaker 5: I like them both.
- 59:28Speaker 16: Uh.
- 59:29Speaker 15: They always swore me.
- 59:31Speaker 18: And I remember going to Victoria, Canada, and we went
- 59:35Speaker 18: to this butterfly, like Emporium. And my dad is 6'3,
- 59:40Speaker 18: and I was on his shoulders, and all the butterflies
- 59:42Speaker 18: swore me.
- 59:44Speaker 8: And then in.
- 59:44Speaker 16: Kindergarten as well.
- 59:47Speaker 11: We were raising butterflies, and all the butterflies flew out
- 59:50Speaker 11: of the enclosure and then came straight to me.
- 59:52Speaker 17: Plus, that episode of SpongeBob really just nailed the coffee.
- 59:56Speaker 4: That sounds horrifying.
- 59:57Speaker 7: I feel like there's something special about you, Jessica. Like,
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: why would they come? They all want to be around you.
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Good point, because butterflies are beautiful.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: I'm sure there's a positive.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: Yeah, they're gentle.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: Or it means something in the spiritual world.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: They think she's a witch trying to get rid of her.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: Not butterflies.
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: I mean, who knows?
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: You only hear about toads and newts in the witch world.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: You don't hear about butterflies. Butterflies are meditation, happiness. Well, Jessica,
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: thanks for calling in.
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: No, thank you.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: It's the John Jay and Rich radio program. Two names, four.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Hosts, and a whole lot of fun.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: It's John Jay and Rich.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: All right, in the studio, this is... I'm going to
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: have a little bit of a moment here, Justin. We
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: have Justin Willman in the studio. And what's funny is
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: when I knew you were coming in, and I just
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: want to say that I don't want to offend at all.
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: But when they said, hey, Justin Willman, he was going
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: to come in, I was like, that's great. But then
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: when I see you, I'm like, I know exactly who
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: you are. It kind of is tripping me out.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Oh, I'm excited to hear.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: No, I just know you. I just know you from
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: your stuff. I know your stuff.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: We didn't have a run-in at the bathroom at.
- 1:01:01Speaker 14: The Phoenix Air Force.
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: We were sword fighting.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Oh, Sky Hall hurt.
- 1:01:06Speaker 23: No, but like, so how do we all know you? Um, well,
- 1:01:10Speaker 23: I would hope you know me from doing magic on Netflix.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Yeah. I would hope. Well, but there's other stuff. The
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: magic show on Netflix.
- 1:01:18Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: I watched that whole special the day it came out.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: It's like all, this is, I'm, I like to not
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: prepare for interviews.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: I like this.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: I like that. Because I like, like it's literally, I
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: remember that. In fact, there's something, did you do something
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: with a kid? There was a kid, you did a
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: magic trick.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: Yep.
- 1:01:34Speaker 13: Yep.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: And you did something with the kid. I remember coming in.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: What did I do? Really good.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: You're really good. I'm so glad you're in here right now.
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:01:46Speaker 23: That was a Netflix special. Well, I had a series
- 1:01:48Speaker 23: Magic for Humans on Netflix.
- 1:01:50Speaker 5: Magic for Humans.
- 1:01:51Speaker 14: That was it.
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: That's it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: That was your show. I think I came in here
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: and talked about it on the air.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: I love magic. Thank you. Thank you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: So, Matt, but there was something else. Anyway, but go on.
- 1:02:00Speaker 23: Yeah, and I used to, like, in the back of
- 1:02:01Speaker 23: the day, host Cupcake Wars and a bunch of random
- 1:02:03Speaker 23: stuff that was not magic related.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: So sometimes people are like, Cupcake Wars.
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: Yeah, I love Cupcake Wars.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah, I see you.
- 1:02:09Speaker 23: But so I'm shooting my, this is my second live
- 1:02:13Speaker 23: special on Netflix, shooting at the Celebrity Theater in the round.
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: That's a great place to shoot it. Like a couple
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: of comedy specials have been done there that look great.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Yours is going to look.
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: It's electric, the vibe. How do you do that.
- 1:02:24Speaker 14: In a circle?
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Because you can't get away backstage and change.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: You can't hide. Well, yeah, that wasn't my idea.
- 1:02:29Speaker 23: My pitch was like, Netflix, I want people to see
- 1:02:31Speaker 23: I'm a magician with nothing to hide.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: So I said, let's do it in the nude.
- 1:02:36Speaker 23: And they were like how about in the round and
- 1:02:38Speaker 23: i was like there you go so i put my
- 1:02:40Speaker 23: clothes on and i uh went on my way and
- 1:02:41Speaker 23: here we are yeah the netflix people they pay big
- 1:02:44Speaker 23: big i mean this is your second or third netflix
- 1:02:46Speaker 23: special and that means you're making bank well i i
- 1:02:50Speaker 23: uh you know there's a bigger budget but i'm just
- 1:02:52Speaker 23: putting it all into the show so it's going to
- 1:02:54Speaker 23: be a i think uh you know so dazzle.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: If you're taping it tonight friday and saturday yeah um
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: When will it air on Netflix?
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: I think early 27. Really?
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: That'd be really cool to see.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: I went to go see Tom Segura perform there. Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: And it was cool to watch it. Was it the taping?
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: Yeah, the taping, to watch the taping. And then to
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: see it come out like six months later, and I
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: was like, oh, I was there. You were there.
- 1:03:15Speaker 23: But what's fun, I mean, as you know from seeing
- 1:03:17Speaker 23: my stuff, like it is very interactive. So it's not
- 1:03:20Speaker 23: like just the audience is kind of sitting in the dark.
- 1:03:22Speaker 23: Like I'm breaking the fourth wall.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Oh, that's awesome. That's cool.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: Is there some magic you can do in here? Bring
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: some personalities. We'll see. Do you happen to have a
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: deck of cards?
- 1:03:32Speaker 16: I do.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Okay. Listen. I'm so excited. John Jay doesn't prepare, but
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: I have to.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: I'm so excited you're here.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: We didn't set anything up. I got a deck of
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: cards here. No, of course not.
- 1:03:43Speaker 23: Before I came in, I thought to myself, what's John
- 1:03:46Speaker 23: Jay going to say? And that's hard to predict, right?
- 1:03:48Speaker 14: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:49Speaker 5: You don't even know.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: I took one card and I made a prediction.
- 1:03:53Speaker 23: So if you, all right, I don't know if you
- 1:03:55Speaker 23: have a favorite card, but I want you to try
- 1:03:56Speaker 23: to stump me because there's 52 cards in the deck.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Ace, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, queen, king, clubs.
- 1:04:01Speaker 23: There's clubs, there's hearts, there's diamonds, spades. Pick a random card.
- 1:04:04Speaker 23: There's no way I would have known you were about
- 1:04:06Speaker 23: to say. Right now and say it out loud?
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Say it out loud. Three of clubs. No way I
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: could have known that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: No, I just made it up.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: That's random. He doesn't say that all the time. You
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: don't have a three of clubs tattoo.
- 1:04:14Speaker 11: No.
- 1:04:14Speaker 13: Yet.
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: No, nothing.
- 1:04:15Speaker 13: Yet.
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: I can even change it if you want.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: No, three of clubs.
- 1:04:17Speaker 23: No, so I went through this deck, and you can
- 1:04:20Speaker 23: kind of describe to the people here, but I went
- 1:04:22Speaker 23: through the deck, and I took one card, and I
- 1:04:25Speaker 23: turned it the other way.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: One out of 52 cards.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: Okay, fair.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: And it happens to be the three.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Shut up.
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: I would say one of the chances, but it's one
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: in 52. Dude, that is so crazy.
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: How is that possible?
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: How is that possible?
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: That made my head hurt.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: I don't like that.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: What's amazing is we didn't even tell them we were
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: going to ask them to do a trick.
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: No.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: No.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Or an illusion.
- 1:04:51Speaker 14: An illusion.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: An illusion, Michael.
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: JustinWilman.com. By the way, does that mean when you're doing
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: it at the Celebrity Theater, I'm assuming the magic's going
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: to be way more.
- 1:05:00Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: I got some big stuff.
- 1:05:02Speaker 14: I got some.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Jumbotron cameras. I mean, how do people run back? Jumbotron cameras. Yeah, Jumbotron.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: I mean, luckily, Celebrity Theo, like, no one is far
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: from the stage.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 1:05:09Speaker 14: Yeah, that's so true.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: There's like 2,200.
- 1:05:10Speaker 23: People in there, but everybody is like 100 feet away
- 1:05:13Speaker 23: at the most. And so it's going to be in
- 1:05:16Speaker 23: your face. I mean, and I've got some pretty big
- 1:05:18Speaker 23: and crazy. How did you do that?
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: That is crazy.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: I love blowing this guy's mind.
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: This is the best.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: The best. You got another one?
- 1:05:29Speaker 23: Well, you know, my last special, do you remember how
- 1:05:32Speaker 23: I tried to memorize every zip code in America?
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: I don't know if you saw that one.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: I saw your whole special.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: It was a 13-hour special.
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: I didn't know.
- 1:05:39Speaker 23: Do you remember the zip code of where you grew
- 1:05:42Speaker 23: up originally?
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I can. What's the zip code? I think it's 92019.
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: Okay, so that's down in Southern California, 92019.
- 1:05:51Speaker 23: I think so, yeah.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: If I had to guess specifically, that is El Cajon, California,
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: I believe.
- 1:05:56Speaker 23: 92019 is El Cajon.
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: 92019.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: Welcome back to John Jay.
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: He doesn't even remember our zip code here.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: I don't know our zip code here. Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Do you remember your zip code where you're from?
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: Yes, I do.
- 1:06:08Speaker 14: What is it?
- 1:06:08Speaker 13: 85048. 85048.
- 1:06:08Speaker 23: Okay, that's a little closer. 85048. Let's see how specific
- 1:06:15Speaker 23: I can be. Well, that's Phoenix proper, right?
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:06:18Speaker 23: I don't want to dock your address here. Do you
- 1:06:20Speaker 23: have a more obscure one?
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: 85296.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: 85296. I got mine again.
- 1:06:23Speaker 6: That's Arizona as well.
- 1:06:24Speaker 14: 85296 is Gilbert.
- 1:06:24Speaker 21: Yes!
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: Mine's pretty easy for you.
- 1:06:26Speaker 13: 83127. 83127.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Okay, very easy for me. Should be.
- 1:06:27Speaker 14: Is that Star Valley Ranch? Say it again.
- 1:06:44Speaker 19: 8-3-1-2-7.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: 8-3-1-2-7.
- 1:06:45Speaker 23: Oh, not 8-5. Okay, 8-3-1-2-7.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Let's see here.
- 1:06:50Speaker 23: I'm kind of going through the parameters in my head.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: 8-3-1.
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: Might be 8-2-1-3-1. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: Okay, boy, keep changing.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: Which one is it?
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: You got to pick one.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: Sorry, I had to find remember.
- 1:07:01Speaker 6: Confusing us.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: It should be close to your old neighborhood.
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: 8-2-1-3-1.
- 1:07:03Speaker 12: 8-2-1-3-1.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Okay, not close to.
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: Do you mean 6-1-3-1?
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: 8-2-1-3-1 is nowhere near where I've ever lived, but if
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: I had to be... Yeah, because that's not actually a
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: zip code.
- 1:07:16Speaker 14: I'm from St.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: Louis, Missouri, originally.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: So you mean 6-3-1-2-1.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Come on, Rich!
- 1:07:21Speaker 23: How do you not know where I'm from?
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Just correcting your zip code.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: That wasn't me. De Pere?
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: You're talking about De Pere Frontenac?
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: No, that's too fancy. That's too fancy.
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: Okay, okay. Well, you don't remember your St. Louis zip code.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: That'd be a 6-3. I was 6-3, 1-4-1.
- 1:07:36Speaker 9: St.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Louis, where'd you go to high school? That's the question
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: I ask in St. Louis.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: Well, I grew up in Florissant, so they may have
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: closed that.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: Okay, so the north side.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: My zip code might not exist anymore.
- 1:07:46Speaker 14: It might not.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: They might have bombed that already.
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: R.I.P.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: John Jay, you remember yours now? I looked it up.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: It's 91932.
- 1:07:51Speaker 23: Wow, we were not even in the ballpark. No, not
- 1:07:54Speaker 23: even close on both of them.
- 1:07:56Speaker 16: 91932.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: That is Imperial Beach, California. Dude, you are nuts. You
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: are freaking nuts, dude. You are nuts. Dude, thanks for
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: stopping by. Thanks for having me.
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: What a trip, man.
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: Good to see you. That was awesome. All right, it's
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: John Jay.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: John Jay!
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: Dumb ways you hurt yourself. We're going to get into
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: why Kyle hurt herself, Rich hurt himself. But, Tina, what's
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: a dumb way you hurt yourself?
- 1:08:19Speaker 21: Oh, my goodness. Okay, so picture this. I'm in my
- 1:08:22Speaker 21: office in my house on my treadmill, and I got
- 1:08:25Speaker 21: footloose going in my earbuds, and I'm just going away.
- 1:08:29Speaker 21: And I tripped, hit the side of the treadmill, flew
- 1:08:33Speaker 21: into the closet door. The closet door fell on top
- 1:08:36Speaker 21: of me, landed on my head, knocked me out, And
- 1:08:40Speaker 21: then when I woke up, I had to crawl to
- 1:08:42Speaker 21: the phone to call 911.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: You poor thing.
- 1:08:45Speaker 26: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:08:46Speaker 21: Oh, it was a mess. I had the worst bruises
- 1:08:49Speaker 21: and road burns all over my body.
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: All you were trying to do was work on your fitness.
- 1:08:54Speaker 11: Well, now I'm outside.
- 1:08:57Speaker 21: Now I stick to the outdoors.
- 1:08:58Speaker 14: I think that's smart.
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: Yeah, thank you guys.
- 1:09:02Speaker 24: I love you all.
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: Wait, wait, wait.
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: What's the 911 call? What do you say on the
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: 911 call?
- 1:09:08Speaker 21: Well, I said I fell off my treadmill. I'm home alone.
- 1:09:11Speaker 17: What do I do?
- 1:09:12Speaker 21: And they didn't send an ambulance. They sent fire squad
- 1:09:16Speaker 21: out to help me up and see if I was
- 1:09:18Speaker 21: okay and I did go to the emergency room, though,
- 1:09:21Speaker 21: because I had such a big hematoma on my hip
- 1:09:24Speaker 21: that they wanted to make sure I didn't break my hip.
- 1:09:26Speaker 12: How'd they get in your house?
- 1:09:28Speaker 24: It was exciting.
- 1:09:29Speaker 21: Oh, the door was unlocked.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: And they walk in, and there you are under a
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: closet door.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:34Speaker 21: Earbuds still in my ear.
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: Footloose is on a loop. Footloose is on a loop.
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: She never wants to listen to that song again.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: It's almost ironic that it was Footloose because she was
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: not Footloose.
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: No, I wasn't.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: Oh, Tina.
- 1:09:48Speaker 13: Crazy.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: Thanks for calling in. Thank you, Tina.
- 1:09:51Speaker 15: Thank you, guys.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: Bye-bye. Tim, stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 1:09:55Speaker 12: Hey, morning, guys. So years and years ago, do you
- 1:10:00Speaker 12: remember what a skip it was?
- 1:10:02Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: Is that the thing that's on one ankle and you
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: spin it and you jump? Skip it was awesome.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: Is that what it was?
- 1:10:09Speaker 14: Yeah, totally.
- 1:10:10Speaker 12: Yep, you got it. So I was a senior in
- 1:10:13Speaker 12: high school. I was in my sister's basement. And I
- 1:10:17Speaker 12: was playing with my nieces and nephews. And I threw
- 1:10:19Speaker 12: this Skip It On and was just whipping it around,
- 1:10:22Speaker 12: whipping it around. And when, I guess, my shoe got
- 1:10:28Speaker 12: caught in the carpet and Twisted my knee and I
- 1:10:32Speaker 12: blew my knee out. MCL, MCL.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: Oh, man.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: Multiple knee injuries.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:38Speaker 12: Completely blew it out. My sister was sitting there and she, like,
- 1:10:42Speaker 12: the sound of the popping and cracking was like fireworks, basically. Yeah.
- 1:10:47Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:10:48Speaker 12: That's the way I... Embarrass myself in front of.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: My nieces and nephews.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: When you feel it go, it goes.
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: Ouch.
- 1:10:55Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, exactly.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: All right, Tim, thanks for calling in. How'd you hurt yourself, Kyle?
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: Tina shared her story, and it made me feel a
- 1:11:00Speaker 7: lot better, but mine is why stupid. Like, hers was
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: just like, that's insane. It's more stupid. I felt really
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: dumb because I did it twice. So I'm making dinner
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: yesterday and I've got French fries in the air fryer
- 1:11:11Speaker 7: and I pull them out and I'm like, I'm just
- 1:11:13Speaker 7: going to, you know what? I know it's hot in there,
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: but I think I can handle it. Meanwhile, French fries
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: were cooking at 400 degrees, whatever. So I hold the
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: air fryer pan and I just put my hand in
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: barehanded into the air fryer and grab some French fries.
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: And I'm like, ah, and they're hot. And I went
- 1:11:28Speaker 7: in again, ah, and I'm like.
- 1:11:30Speaker 6: It's fine.
- 1:11:30Speaker 7: So later that night, I was also reheating a little
- 1:11:34Speaker 7: dessert thing. As if I didn't learn my lesson earlier,
- 1:11:38Speaker 7: this puppy also reheated it 400 degrees. I went in
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: to grab it, and it was like my fingers had
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: had enough, and it was almost like I could hear
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: the skin sizzle.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: It was like, oh!
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: That's terrible.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: So I was just like, why did I do that?
- 1:11:53Speaker 7: That was so dumb. So it's been the next few minutes, like,
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: you know, going to get the burn cream, putting an
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: ice pack on it, just going like, why would I
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: do that? That was so dumb.
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: It was so dumb.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: I knew it was hot.
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: So you even put burn cream, was that bad? You
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: had to get burn cream on?
- 1:12:06Speaker 7: Oh, and it was throbbing for like a full hour afterwards.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: Oh my God. Let me see your finger.
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: I can see the little, there's a little dot.
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: Oh, you got a little circle. You're like the little
- 1:12:16Speaker 5: circle that the lantern has. When they get re-skinned. On Lanterns,
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: two people burn to death, but this alien can re-skin them,
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: and they get all new skin, but it has a
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: little circle on wherever they do that. So it's just
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: like that.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: It's like a little branding mark.
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: But then again, one of the Manhunters got pregnant because
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: of that.
- 1:12:35Speaker 12: It's true.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: What?
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: Don't give away too much of the plot. How about, okay,
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: hold on. We'll say hi to Christina, and then we'll
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: get to the really stupid way Richard himself. Christina, stupid
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: way Richard himself.
- 1:12:45Speaker 17: Hi.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Hi.
- 1:12:46Speaker 13: Hi.
- 1:12:47Speaker 17: So I broke both of my feet in getting smashed
- 1:12:50Speaker 17: in between two vehicles because my dad told me if
- 1:12:55Speaker 17: the tow strap gets caught under the tire, put your
- 1:12:58Speaker 17: feet down and try to stop the truck. I thought
- 1:13:01Speaker 17: he was serious. So I did it. The tow strap
- 1:13:04Speaker 17: got caught under the car and I put my feet
- 1:13:07Speaker 17: out and it got caught on the bumper of the car.
- 1:13:09Speaker 24: We were towing.
- 1:13:11Speaker 17: And then here I am with two broken feet.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: Oh, that's so beautiful.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: I bet your dad felt so guilty.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: He's like, why would you listen to that advice?
- 1:13:20Speaker 24: Why would you think that was serious?
- 1:13:23Speaker 17: Exactly. He said, I wasn't serious. I was like, oh, well,
- 1:13:27Speaker 17: I mean, I listened to my dad. So here we are.
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: Okay, Christina, thank you. Arisa, stupid way you hurt yourself.
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: Hi, good morning, guys.
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: Morning.
- 1:13:37Speaker 9: Um, the stupidest way I've ever hurt myself was I
- 1:13:41Speaker 9: was always too short to reach the top cabinets. And
- 1:13:44Speaker 9: my dad hated when we climbed on like the cabinets
- 1:13:47Speaker 9: to reach anything or like climb on the chairs. So
- 1:13:51Speaker 9: when no one was in the kitchen, I jumped on
- 1:13:52Speaker 9: top of the cabinet and grabbed something and I jumped
- 1:13:56Speaker 9: backwards off the cabinet because my body was facing the
- 1:13:59Speaker 9: cabinet and I landed on my foot wrong. And I
- 1:14:02Speaker 9: legit like broke my whole, all my toes. and then
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: like the center of my foot and the worst part
- 1:14:09Speaker 9: about that is he didn't they didn't believe me they
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: didn't believe me so like I'm a kid of like
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: eight kids and so that day we were planning to
- 1:14:16Speaker 9: go to a bunch of stores and they're like you're
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: lying Arisa like you're just being dramatic because you know
- 1:14:21Speaker 9: I was always known as the dramatic kid and so
- 1:14:23Speaker 9: we went to like 10 stores I'm hopping around the
- 1:14:25Speaker 9: whole entire like all these stores and then and then
- 1:14:28Speaker 9: finally my dad's like OK, we'll take her to the
- 1:14:31Speaker 9: urgent care. We'll see what's going on. And then, yep,
- 1:14:33Speaker 9: they came back in and they're like, yeah, she broke
- 1:14:34Speaker 9: all her toes and like the center of her foot.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Then he felt bad.
- 1:14:37Speaker 9: And I'm just sitting there like, I told you so.
- 1:14:39Speaker 4: I hope you let that hang over your parents to
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: this day.
- 1:14:43Speaker 21: And no, he talks about it to this day.
- 1:14:45Speaker 9: And he's like, if my siblings are sick, he's like, OK, well,
- 1:14:47Speaker 9: Arisa went a whole day with a broken foot.
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: So it's your badge of honor.
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: It's scary.
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Very, very scary. But hold on.
