- 0:21Speaker 1: Oh, the Commanders have that awesome record you just mentioned, Sherry.
- 0:25Speaker 1: They're also ten and five for the first time since
- 0:27Speaker 1: nineteen ninety one. And I looked to their quarterback Jaden Daniels,
- 0:30Speaker 1: a superhero. That was a superhero performance. Everyone watching national game.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels down five points says follow me, I got us,
- 0:40Speaker 1: takes us the whole length of the field. They go.
- 0:43Speaker 1: The attire so poised, so calm. The numbers tell a story.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I mean, this guy through for two hundred and fifty
- 0:49Speaker 1: eight yards and five touchdowns. Of course, he also ran
- 0:53Speaker 1: for eighty one rushing yards against Philadelphia, but they did
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's in a game where they had five turnovers. They
- 0:59Speaker 1: turned the ball over five times and they still were
- 1:02Speaker 1: able to win. Jaden Daniels, I think solidified the offensive
- 1:06Speaker 1: rook of the Year award yesterday. And I know Rock
- 1:08Speaker 1: Bowers has huge, huge numbers, and I know Brian Thomas
- 1:11Speaker 1: is doing historic things, and yes, Bo Nixon Denver is
- 1:14Speaker 1: having a solid season. But to do what Jayden Daniels
- 1:17Speaker 1: just did against the division leading Eagles when they need
- 1:20Speaker 1: it so badly and the Eagles are trying to hold
- 1:23Speaker 1: on for that number one seed in home field advantage.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It tells you that this guy is here, he's here
- 1:28Speaker 1: to stay, and the commanders have someone. I will say this,
- 1:31Speaker 1: though the Philadelphia Eagles had a lot of chances to
- 1:34Speaker 1: put this game away. Devonte Smith might be one of
- 1:37Speaker 1: the most reliable receivers hands wise in the league. When
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm watching this game and they throw him that pass
- 1:42Speaker 1: over here on an easy conversion that would have put
- 1:46Speaker 1: this game away, he catches this. There's about three minutes left.
- 1:49Speaker 1: He catches this ball. They can either run out the
- 1:52Speaker 1: clock with three more plays and then kick a field goal,
- 1:55Speaker 1: or he could just go to the end. And it's like,
- 1:57Speaker 1: these are the ones. These are the differences between now
- 1:59Speaker 1: having to go with How about Saquon Remember he had
- 2:02Speaker 1: the big drop against Atlanta. These are key plays and
- 2:05Speaker 1: I know Nick they mentioned penalties as well, but two
- 2:09Speaker 1: massive drops from two players that we have been celebrating
- 2:12Speaker 1: all season long. Big game on the road. Guess what
- 2:17Speaker 1: the Eagles in the playoffs. The way it's looking, they're
- 2:20Speaker 1: probably gonna have to go big game on the road
- 2:22Speaker 1: and they can't be as sloppy as that. I know,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I know hurts us out. I get it. I'm not
- 2:27Speaker 1: trying to say that this was a perfect situation with
- 2:30Speaker 1: Picket coming in. That said, there are opportunities to win
- 2:33Speaker 1: this game and keep that home field alive. The Bills
- 2:37Speaker 1: have had a lot of success against the Chiefs, and
- 2:40Speaker 1: the Bills of course beat them head to head. But
- 2:42Speaker 1: I will say the Ravens when they're at their best,
- 2:45Speaker 1: are as dangerous a team in the NFL, and when
- 2:47Speaker 1: they have it going on offense and defense, well then
- 2:50Speaker 1: it gets really scary for these opponents. It's Lamar's world
- 2:55Speaker 1: and we're living in it right now. He is playing
- 2:57Speaker 1: at his all time best, even better than his two
- 2:59Speaker 1: MVP seasons, and especially coming out of the by having
- 3:02Speaker 1: the five touchdown passes against the Giants and then finally
- 3:05Speaker 1: slaying this against the Steelers. Whether real or mythical, they
- 3:09Speaker 1: couldn't get past them. I also go back to earlier
- 3:12Speaker 1: in the season, and I understand a lot of Bills
- 3:15Speaker 1: players were injured and it wasn't a great night for them.
- 3:19Speaker 1: The Ravens absolutely destroyed the Buffalo Bills when they played
- 3:23Speaker 1: head to head, and that was when I think the
- 3:25Speaker 1: Ravens were at their all time best and their superhuman powers.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Here's the thing, if you give Baltimore a lead. Derrick
- 3:32Speaker 1: Henry's a difference maker. He'll pound it and he'll pound
- 3:35Speaker 1: it over you and he will make sure that you
- 3:37Speaker 1: don't touch that ball. And Lamar has not been turning
- 3:39Speaker 1: the ball over. The numbers are insane. So granted the
- 3:42Speaker 1: Bills historically that's the two colossus powers, and they're going
- 3:46Speaker 1: to be the ones who likely will be hyped up
- 3:49Speaker 1: as the one in the two. But this Ravens team,
- 3:52Speaker 1: even as a wild card if they don't win the division,
- 3:55Speaker 1: really could give the Chiefs fits because they can score
- 3:58Speaker 1: the ball. Then late in the game they will keep
- 4:00Speaker 1: the ball out of Mahomes's hands because they got big
- 4:02Speaker 1: twenty two behind him. I'm giving my game ball to
- 4:05Speaker 1: Sam Dartold. This was a battle up in Seattle, and
- 4:08Speaker 1: Donald had the drive when they did it most and
- 4:11Speaker 1: made the plays. His numbers yesterday two hundred and forty
- 4:14Speaker 1: six yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions. It was his twelfth
- 4:20Speaker 1: game with one hundred passer rating in twenty twenty four.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He's tied with Lamar Jackson for the most this season,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and he has joined Peyton Manning and Steve McNair for
- 4:29Speaker 1: the most wins in their first season with a new
- 4:32Speaker 1: team in the last forty years, Peyton when he joined
- 4:34Speaker 1: Denver McNair when he joined Baltimore, and O six Donald
- 4:38Speaker 1: thirteen and two Minnesota Vikings. They have two losses, of course,
- 4:42Speaker 1: the one to Detroit and then of course the Thursday
- 4:45Speaker 1: night game in La on a short week, Donald goes
- 4:48Speaker 1: into Seattle and a must win and does it again.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Sam Donald, we see you game ball, just like Kevin
- 4:54Speaker 1: O'Connell's been giving it to you every week in the
- 4:56Speaker 1: locker room, and we're seeing these videos. I'll be giving
- 4:59Speaker 1: it to you today. It's time for Coach of the Week,
- 5:02Speaker 1: presented by our friends at National car RENTIL. Every week
- 5:04Speaker 1: we give out a Coach of the Week of war
- 5:06Speaker 1: to a hey coach, a coordinator, maybe even an assistant coach,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I take great pride in giving out this week's
- 5:12Speaker 1: Coach of the Week award to a much maligned defensive
- 5:14Speaker 1: coordinator from the first half of the season whose unit
- 5:18Speaker 1: has turned it around and is now leading the way.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Zach Or, the thirty two year old defensive coordinator for
- 5:24Speaker 1: the Baltimore Ravens, is the recipient of the award. This week.
- 5:29Speaker 1: The Ravens defense made big play after big play against
- 5:33Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh Steelers offense on Saturday in the biggest game
- 5:37Speaker 1: of the season, we saw a Marlin Humphrey pick six
- 5:40Speaker 1: that completely changed the tenor of this game. And also
- 5:44Speaker 1: this play here, Russell Wilson running for the end zone.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Make it a play and then Washington jars the ball loose,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Ravens recover they get the ball. Look, Zach Korr, and
- 5:53Speaker 1: that defense has been picked apart by pundits the entire
- 5:56Speaker 1: first half of the season, but when it's mattered most
- 5:59Speaker 1: the last few weeks, the Ravens defense has come together.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Or give him credit for using Kyle Hamilton in a
- 6:04Speaker 1: way that might be unorthodox, him to play other roles
- 6:07Speaker 1: than he's traditionally done earlier in the season. Zach Orr,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I take great pride in it. A thirty two year
- 6:13Speaker 1: old ex player whose career was cut short and has
- 6:16Speaker 1: done it the right way and is now the defensive
- 6:18Speaker 1: coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens.
- 6:20Speaker 2: You are the coach of the week.
- 6:39Speaker 1: We're gonna have some fun with the trivia and we're
- 6:40Speaker 1: gonna start with okbar, are you ready for the first question? Sure,
- 6:45Speaker 1: let's go. Let's do it. Okay, so the Seahawks play
- 6:48Speaker 1: the Bears. Those two teams have scared off in two
- 6:51Speaker 1: playoff games. They played in six and they played in eleven.
- 6:56Speaker 1: In the six game, which was a divisional round, the
- 7:00Speaker 1: Bears and the Seahawks had a battles a three point game.
- 7:05Speaker 1: The question is as follows, which Bears receiver caught a
- 7:12Speaker 1: sixty yard bomb from Rex Grossman in the second quarter
- 7:17Speaker 1: of the divisional round game between the Bears and the Seahawks.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Was it Marty Booker, Was it Bernard Burrion, Was it
- 7:24Speaker 1: Bobby Ingram Or was it Greg Olsen who caught the
- 7:29Speaker 1: big sixty yard bomb for Chicago in that game?
- 7:33Speaker 3: Wow, I have no I have no recollection of this one.
- 7:37Speaker 3: So I'm going to go off of just name recognition
- 7:40Speaker 3: on this one. I'm gonna go Bernard Burrian on this one.
- 7:44Speaker 3: What a name, Bernard Barrian, great player.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Why don't we go to the actual broadcast call where
- 7:51Speaker 1: we see sexy rexy mister Rex Grossman throw a sixty
- 7:54Speaker 1: eight yard touchdown pass in one of the biggest games
- 7:57Speaker 1: of his career.
- 7:59Speaker 4: And now we focus back on Grossman, who has all
- 8:02Speaker 4: day in ghostep berryon down the middle hit in scrub
- 8:07Speaker 4: touchdown Chicago, no flags for sixty eight yards a touchdown
- 8:15Speaker 4: and in one player the Bears regained the league.
- 8:22Speaker 1: On the board. Did he go to Fresne State? Where
- 8:26Speaker 1: do you go to leave?
- 8:27Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Look it up. I can't break it up. Go Google
- 8:31Speaker 1: Google Bernard Barrion, Kyle real quick wax of poetic on
- 8:37Speaker 1: Bernard Berrian for a second.
- 8:38Speaker 5: Fantastic deep threat, had great chemistry with with Rex Grossman.
- 8:42Speaker 5: It would be Mussa Muhammad underneath and some of the
- 8:44Speaker 5: running game. But Barrion was like one of those giant
- 8:46Speaker 5: home run hitters. Had huge catches and huge games. I
- 8:49Speaker 5: love watching them play.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Did someone look it up? I don't have my phone
- 8:52Speaker 1: or anything. I'm kind of handstrung here. Did Bernard barry
- 8:56Speaker 1: to go to Fresno State? Kyle? Do you remember that?
- 8:58Speaker 1: Or no?
- 8:59Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 8:59Speaker 5: I think so. I think it sounds right.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a Fresno State Bulldog. Let's go. That's it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Shout out to Pat Hill the boys, Jamie, are you
- 9:07Speaker 1: ready for be sure? We've got a Vikings Packers game
- 9:12Speaker 1: this weekend. It's a rivalry you're very close to growing
- 9:14Speaker 1: up in Minnesota. They have played about a million times.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Here's the question, though, which single player has the most
- 9:22Speaker 1: receiving touchdowns in Vikings Packers' rivalry history. Is it Chris Carter,
- 9:29Speaker 1: is it Davante Adams, Is it Randy Moss? Or is
- 9:33Speaker 1: it Donald Driver? All modern day players, which one had
- 9:37Speaker 1: the most receiving touchdowns when the two teams played.
- 9:41Speaker 7: I refuse to think it's a Packer peer. I just
- 9:43Speaker 7: don't think you would do that to me on a
- 9:45Speaker 7: holiday week. So I have two great options here. And
- 9:49Speaker 7: just because I want to see a Randy Moss highlight
- 9:51Speaker 7: on the show, I will go see Randy Moss.
- 9:55Speaker 1: The correct answer is see Randy Moss. Baby excellent. This
- 10:03Speaker 1: is really cool because there's been so many amazing Randy
- 10:06Speaker 1: Moss moments against the Packers. Here's from Dante Culpepper on
- 10:10Speaker 1: a Monday Night. Randy Moss obviously a Pro Football Hall
- 10:14Speaker 1: of Famer. In the first batt he also gave the
- 10:16Speaker 1: Packers nightmares. He was so good against the Packers that
- 10:19Speaker 1: after his rookie season, the Packers drafted cornerbacks if their
- 10:23Speaker 1: first three. How do we stop this guy? How do
- 10:27Speaker 1: we figure it out? Excuse me, I'm going for the touchdown.
- 10:32Speaker 1: He's got it by two touchdowns, and obviously I would
- 10:37Speaker 1: take a moment here and we can all chime in.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Randy Moss obviously is going through a health battle right now.
- 10:42Speaker 1: We're not going to get into the specifics too much,
- 10:44Speaker 1: but the outpouring of love that he has seen on
- 10:47Speaker 1: ed social media and on national media and on obviously
- 10:51Speaker 1: and where his colleagues are at has to be recognized. Randy.
- 10:54Speaker 1: We want to do it as our show as well.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Get well. We love you, Randy Moss. Please feel better soon,
- 10:59Speaker 1: Kyle your thoughts, love.
- 11:06Speaker 3: You, Randy.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I love you, straight straight cash, homies, come shrikes, Come
- 11:12Speaker 1: on now, let's go, Kyle. You ready for years? You
- 11:15Speaker 1: know it's not just gonna be a run of the
- 11:17Speaker 1: mill question. We've got Washington versus Atlanta this weekend. Is
- 11:22Speaker 1: there a long history of Washington Atlanta? You better believe
- 11:25Speaker 1: they had one of the more fun games of our childhood.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Let's go to the ninety one divisional round, Kyle, where
- 11:31Speaker 1: you know, darn well who was playing in that one.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It was Washington versus Atlanta and for Atlanta, let's bost
- 11:38Speaker 1: Let's roll some of the b roll here, folks. We
- 11:40Speaker 1: had one of the coolest sidelines situations we've ever seen.
- 11:45Speaker 1: That's Jerry, that's mc hammer. Come on, that's Terry and
- 11:48Speaker 1: Greg Gupple talking about it. You had a Vander Holyfield
- 11:52Speaker 1: on the sideline. This was the Atlanta Falcons with the
- 11:57Speaker 1: too Legit to Quit deal going mc hammer, Vander Holyfield, Diana,
- 12:04Speaker 1: Jerry Glanfield leaving tickets for ELVI before the game. Kyle,
- 12:09Speaker 1: that was ninety one. That was a long time ago.
- 12:12Speaker 1: We have to fast forward all the way to Sunday
- 12:15Speaker 1: night where these two teams are going to be playing.
- 12:17Speaker 1: But my question to you is that week January of
- 12:21Speaker 1: nineteen ninety two, what was the number one song on
- 12:25Speaker 1: the billboard one hundred January fourth, nineteen ninety two. Was
- 12:30Speaker 1: it A Black or White by Michael Jackson? Was it
- 12:34Speaker 1: B When a Man Loves a Woman by Michael Bolton?
- 12:37Speaker 1: Was it C the Adams Grooves by that man mc hammer,
- 12:41Speaker 1: or was it D Don't Cry by Axel Slash Duff
- 12:45Speaker 1: and the Boys Guns n' Roses.
- 12:48Speaker 5: It's trying to do what they want to do, say
- 12:50Speaker 5: what they want to say, think how they want to think,
- 12:51Speaker 5: play how they want to play.
- 12:52Speaker 1: The Adams family. That was man Crazy song?
- 12:56Speaker 2: All right?
- 12:56Speaker 5: Peter, you got four bangers here What a Man Loves
- 12:59Speaker 5: a Women? I mean that song consummated many marriages and
- 13:03Speaker 5: created many birds like that.
- 13:04Speaker 1: That I'd love making music. Fo Yeah, Black.
- 13:07Speaker 5: And White, the dangerous album I think was massive at
- 13:10Speaker 5: the time.
- 13:10Speaker 1: To a very strange.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Video and then dunk Prize your classic power ballad after
- 13:15Speaker 5: use your illusion album the double album, Peter, i' gonna discuss.
- 13:18Speaker 5: I'm gonna go with my first my first instinct. I'll
- 13:21Speaker 5: go with the guy that got us here, former openland
- 13:23Speaker 5: A's ball boy, mc hammer, give me Christopher Lloyd as
- 13:27Speaker 5: Uncle Fester and mc hammer with the Adams Group.
- 13:32Speaker 1: All due respect to Christina Ricci and to Angelica Houston
- 13:36Speaker 1: and the rest of the Adams Family movie, It's not
- 13:39Speaker 1: the right answer. The right answer is MJ A Black
- 13:43Speaker 1: or White by Michael Jackson was number one in America
- 13:47Speaker 1: in January of ninety two. You named it. This video
- 13:52Speaker 1: took over the what mad It starts off with Miculay
- 13:55Speaker 1: Culkins in the beginning. If I'm not mistaken there, that's right?
- 13:58Speaker 1: Is that the right Hey premiered and premiered after the
- 14:00Speaker 1: Simpsons Fox. It was a huge deal, Akbar, I know
- 14:04Speaker 1: you're an MJ. Enthusiast. Your thoughts on black or white? Oh,
- 14:08Speaker 1: it was amazing.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I mean, especially during that time, especially there's a lot
- 14:11Speaker 3: of speculation about Michael Jackson and his you know, of
- 14:15Speaker 3: viteligo disease, and so he was tired of so many
- 14:18Speaker 3: people talking about him. He came out with that. But
- 14:20Speaker 3: it was the world premiere after the Simpson I can
- 14:23Speaker 3: remember it clearly. I was watching the TV that was
- 14:26Speaker 3: sitting you remember the floor seat TV. He sat on
- 14:28Speaker 3: the floor and I'm sitting there just waiting for it
- 14:30Speaker 3: to come on.
- 14:31Speaker 1: It was big. If you want to be my brother,
- 14:35Speaker 1: it don't matter if your black away.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I can't say the whole thing. I don't
- 14:39Speaker 3: want to get us in trouble. But yeah, great, good.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Sentiments, great Kyle, your thoughts, m J.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Blackwe I just I'm still thinking of the late great
- 14:48Speaker 5: Raoul Julia as mister Adams. I just I feel like
- 14:51Speaker 5: Pugsley is disappointed right here. But yeah, the video when
- 14:55Speaker 5: the faces started to change, people fell off their seats
- 14:58Speaker 5: when that happened, that was like some kind of crazy
- 15:01Speaker 5: science ficture. You couldn't believe what you were watching. But
- 15:03Speaker 5: you remember where you were the Dangerous album. I think
- 15:06Speaker 5: Michael last great album really was dangerous, but I had
- 15:09Speaker 5: great memories of course.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Jamie, we're gonna get everyone involved here.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It's gonna be the three of you with a video clue.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Forty nine Ers play the Lions on Monday Night. This
- 15:19Speaker 1: was supposed to be like the rematch of the NFC
- 15:21Speaker 1: Championship game. I think many circled it as like the
- 15:23Speaker 1: game of the year. They're gonna play on week seventeen
- 15:27Speaker 1: on Monday Night with Bucking Aikman on the call. It's incredible.
- 15:29Speaker 1: The game's kind of a dud now because the Niners
- 15:31Speaker 1: season went awry. That said, there is a rich history
- 15:35Speaker 1: between these two teams, and in the nineties they did
- 15:37Speaker 1: have some shootouts. Here is my question, a video clue.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Both teams were headed to the playoffs in nineteen ninety three,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and they're in Detroit. What happens in the second quarter
- 15:49Speaker 1: on this play from Steve Young? All right, they're up
- 15:53Speaker 1: fourteen to three at the time. Let's get the choices
- 15:57Speaker 1: on the board, all right, Okay? Is it a Chris
- 16:01Speaker 1: Spielman twenty yard pick six for the Lions? Is it
- 16:04Speaker 1: be one of the great angry runs of all time
- 16:07Speaker 1: from Tom Rathman. Is it see an eighty yard beautiful
- 16:11Speaker 1: touchdown pass to Jerry Rice Or is it d amp
- 16:15Speaker 1: Lee going eighty yards for a scamper. We'll start with Acbar,
- 16:19Speaker 1: then Jamie, then Kyle.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Okay, I missed, sure, see I couldn't hear it, but
- 16:24Speaker 3: and I can't read it, so I'm just gonna go
- 16:26Speaker 3: see here, Okay, Well, all right, I am.
- 16:30Speaker 7: The resident picker of the pick six because I like
- 16:33Speaker 7: seeing highlights of pick sixes, So I'll go a Chris
- 16:35Speaker 7: Pielman twenty yard pick six.
- 16:37Speaker 5: All right, amp Lee Florida State Seminole legend reminder Answer
- 16:42Speaker 5: D in this category is always just Peter getting his
- 16:44Speaker 5: jolly's with some random player that he loves from years past.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So I don't think it's right.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I will go because I know how much Peter likes
- 16:51Speaker 5: this player and like working with this man in broadcasting.
- 16:54Speaker 5: I will go a Chris Pielman from the Wheaties box
- 16:57Speaker 5: to a twenty yard pick six. I don't think it's
- 16:59Speaker 5: Spielman for pick six got Peter, but I think it's
- 17:01Speaker 5: the situation he got.
- 17:02Speaker 1: One for the viewers at home. Chris Fiellman was on
- 17:05Speaker 1: a Whaedy's box as a high school athlete. It was
- 17:08Speaker 1: the best high school player in America. However, I'm not
- 17:11Speaker 1: gonna spoil it. Let's go to the radio broadcast call
- 17:15Speaker 1: of one of the great Steve Young passes of all time.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Oh Young dropped back to throw, launches it right down
- 17:23Speaker 4: the left side, rights over the middle.
- 17:25Speaker 1: He's got it. Put a bender balls.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Down, Price would be able.
- 17:28Speaker 1: To go into the end zone.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Twenty ten fifteen five touchdown, forty nine ers, one hundred
- 17:34Speaker 6: and seventeen touchdown touches for Jerry Rice one hundred and
- 17:38Speaker 6: twenty three in his brilliant career and appropriately eighty yards
- 17:43Speaker 6: four flash eighty.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You get Fred Jones there, he almost felt down. The
- 17:48Speaker 1: plays an incredible, iconic one one hundred touchdown catch for
- 17:51Speaker 1: Jerry Rice of his career, and he did so with
- 17:54Speaker 1: an eighty yard appropriately with the number eighty from Steve Young.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Got to love those nineties forty nine ers. They of course,
- 18:01Speaker 1: would win the Super Bowl a couple of years later.
