- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So Dennis Brown, John London, I used to do the nine or post game show with Dennis Brown, a pre-imposed, and Dennis was good friends with Ricky, and we would do it at this bar out in Arrinda, which is,
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, right on the other side of the Caldaca tunnel in the East Bay, I know what you know it is, John, but maybe people were like, where is that place?
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's called fourth bore.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, we went out there and we would do the show they had this killer fire pit and it was like this rooftop bar and restaurant, really cool spot.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's still there in a Rinda, California.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: And he brought Ricky out for some of the post games and it's like, you know, Ricky's just such a great
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: And nine of fans are not happy about that, but Ricky, Ricky is just such a great dude.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: Such an easy going dude.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: Such a fun guy to talk ball with.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: We had some great times talking ball just around the around the fire pit, you know, Sunday nights and just real good times.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: And just an easy going, fun, loving dudes, still much, still very much a nine of fan.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: Calls the Bay is home, I believe.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so shout out to Ricky Waters.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: We love Ricky Waters.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: And so you got Ricky to go to your event in Seattle.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he'll be there meet and greet autographs.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's going to be available.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: The day before tickets are up now and you can buy your autograph.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: Bring your memory billion all that kind of stuff.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a good time.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm thinking about going.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: I'm thinking about going to Seattle flow.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I might have heard, yes, here's Sam, I might have to party in Seattle with that sounds like a plan.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: It sounds like a really good plan.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're often running on the on the on the crew show, but yes, definitely travel with John and take advantage of that.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: What's the best?

- 5:47[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome, awesome stuff.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I wanted to get into tonight because I was thinking about this as I was driving back from practice today.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: Great day in Santa Clara very hot practice very hot.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: It was almost a John felt like training camp was like 85 90 degrees Mike I said to one of the PR girls I'm like this is like this is almost hotter than summer.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: She's like I know.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: So this is like a second summer down here.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: Who is with three games in?
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: So now, before the season, it's all kind of guesswork.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: We actually have to see games before we can kind of make conclusions.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: And one game is not enough.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: I would say it takes three games where now they're going into week four.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners have played three games, they're three and oh.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: This is a perfect time to debate.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Who is the biggest off-season acquisition?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: Who the time, I mean, think about it.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: You're looking at this team on offense watching Oso Digi-Zua and what he's meant to this T-line is something else.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: You got to remember Drake Greenlaw was an acquisition.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: What he's brought to this team is something else.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think Jack Jones has been a great addition so far, and then on offense, I mean, Mike Evans is a Hall of Famer, and look what he's already brought to the table.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think Evans has been such an incredible addition, Kaylon Black, Dejan Stribling, so I thought we could throw it around and see what people have to say.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: If I said to you the biggest offseason addition for the Niners, what are you going with?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: man that's it's crazy because it's it's it's a long list of answers that are all correct like like they have created the perfect cocktail or stick with the tailgate team yeah like that that works and how do you not argue raininess and what he's been able to do with this defensive line that like I I cannot
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: I remember just sitting there thinking like, dude, you have Naquan Jones, you have Kevin Gibbids, and Sebastian Valdez out there at the same time.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_02]: You have three defensive tackles that none of which you had plans for taking any snaps at any point this season, their practice squad guys at best.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: You got them out there all together and got a three and out with them.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like the degree of like, did I think about like the Olympics and how they do like, you know, the judge, the scores and it's like, oh, the degree of difficulty was a 10.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: Rehears is doing some crazy crazy stuff with the defensive line that nobody in the NFL wanted to have success with.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that that's huge and I know I want to hear your rant on Rehears before we get there.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to miss a chance to talk about
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: He has changed everything seeing him play will linebacker is phenomenal from D winners to him.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_02]: One of the biggest glow-ups This roster has made so stick with the defense aside.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going Raheem and Drake Greenlaw But I want to hear your Raheem rant.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_02]: I've been waiting for this because I'm sorry.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean I'm going with Raheem.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: I mean You lost Bosa
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: And you've had all kinds of injuries.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you look at what the Niners have had injuries, but I mean, what have they lost exactly?
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost to Marcus Robinson and offense, Austin Pleasant and offense, Ricky Pierce saw an offense, Brett Toth on offense, who else on offense?
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Jake Tongis, they've lost Jake Tongis on offense, stripling an offense.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the guys that are hurt for the most were Christian Marcus Robinson, yeah.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: D-Rub mentioned him, but on defense,
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: They lost a ton on defense.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost out for Collins.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost CJ West.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost Sam.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and it's all on the D line.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they've lost, they've lost so much on the defensive line.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Mikhail Williams on the pop list, you know, just a lot, and not to mention guys like Nate Hobbs, Nick Martin.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: They've lost a lot on defense.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just looking at this, this game and watching the film last night,
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, wow, the 49ers are getting pressure with a front four that was primarily Oso Digi-Zua and Key on White Inside, Khalid Karim and Ogbo Ocaronko are Obo Ocaronko outside.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, Ocaronko and Karim weren't on the team at the start of training camp.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, and white was supposed to be a guy who played off the bench in a role, and it's like, instead, their primary guys are Kiyon White, Odigizua, Khalid Kreme, and Ocaronquo.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: And they're still getting pressures.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: They had 10 more pressures in this game.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: They've had 40 pressures, I believe, in three games.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not only that.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: When I got more into the film, I mean, you could, you could kind of see, you know,
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot going on in this game plan.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you definitely didn't, I mean, when you looked at the way the Niners went about things in this, they played Zone coverage.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: They played a sortment of Zone stuff.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if they played a downer to a man possibly, but it was basically multiple zones all day long.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: They rushed for, they didn't blitz.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they didn't play a lot of a man to man.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: and they shut down all explosives, they had no explosives, they prevented all explosives, and they did it, they played nine different defensive linemen, played at least 13 SNAPs, and they cut out the explosives altogether.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: They preset through his longest pass
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: And to get that done, I mean, there have been years where the Niners have had star, laden, defensive fronts, and they couldn't get pressure.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: They were getting pressure with their front four.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Now when I watched it,
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: It was genius, it was genius.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was like, Rahim Morris at times, you know, he was so many of the things that they're doing seems so involved.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of simulated pressure.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_01]: There was one play on there, I won't forget.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was a simulated six-man rush.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: And they rush three, yep, and they draw the other three guys off into coverage and they still got a hit on the quarterback, they got home on the quarterback and it's sack him, but they they impacted the quarterback on a six man front, you know, our six man pressure look.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: and a sim pressure, and then only rush three, but they created such a confusion, and we're so late with the shift that it caught Arizona by surprise, and even though it was three on five, the three got home.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: So to me, Raheem Morris, I mean, just knowing enough about defensive football.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: This is this is genius.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: This is timing to have nine different defensive linemen,
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: I have too much respect for the players across the board, but I mean, it's kind of a hodgepodge deal he's got right now, not no offense to any of these guys.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's like this wasn't the original plan, and it's like doesn't matter that it wasn't the original plan.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's still getting the production of front.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: He's scheming.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: their pressure.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: And it's truly amazing.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's absolutely amazing that he's getting the kind of success he's getting early on.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: And the way he's doing it is remarkable.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I want to expand on that like that six man simulated pressure.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_02]: So you have Drake Green Law and you have Fred Warner up there doing their mug show blitz where they're acting like they're coming.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: And the new addition is Raheem has Fred taking two steps towards the blitz then belly.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_02]: didn't see that under Robert Sala, whatever else they would bail immediately.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: So what happens is whenever Fred Warner does that, he's the only linebacker doing that by the way, Drake Greenlaw bills right off the bat, but Fred is so good.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: He could take two steps attacking which the tackle has to account for, then Fred Bells in the offensive tackles like standing there blocking nobody, meanwhile, Khalid Cremes going around the edge with nobody
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: And then you had the backside defensive and I think it was key on why don't that play also bill so you're bringing two defensive tackles and clean green and you're getting the pressure out of it and meanwhile you're dropping seven defenders into coverage and so you're forcing you know the whole thing is like man that the new whatever with McDonald's defenses you give a pre snap false read than a post snap true read.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Now they're doing that with blitzers and Fred Warner is at the front of the class in the NFL.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you're an offensive lineman and you get your, you know, all right, we're counting zero, one, two, three is we're going to roll brown, brown, brown.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to block right.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: So we're going to fan to the right and then you fan to the right and Fred drops and you're just standing there with your hands at the air.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what do I do?
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: There's nobody over here.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: Meanwhile, on the other side, that's where the pressures are
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: without the bodies.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so, man, I'm with you.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: Rahim Morris is a godsend.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: It is pretty fun seeing what he's putting out there with, you know, you've heard of the no name defense.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like this is like the difficult name defense.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Cause a lot of guys, we just don't know about their names are obscure, which is awesome.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I hope that they continue rolling with this, but what they've done, if it could continue over the next two weeks, Rahim Morris has been incredible.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: Let me show us what kind of teacher he is.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: Some of these guys have just been around for days or weeks.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we're not, he's got a well orchestrated, you know, first of all, his fronts and his coverages are tied together.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's got some well orchestrated games being played up front.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks like it's a unit that's been together for years.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: And some of these guys weren't here in July.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's it's remarkable, man.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: It is remarkable.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: And then what he's got it gotten at a key on white who's just, you know, he serves as this personal chess piece.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's out there all the time.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: He, they lined him up outside.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_01]: They stood on him inside.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: They lined him up inside.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: They stood on him outside.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: He has to play more inside because of the injuries.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_01]: They've had a tackle.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: But they use him in a lot of different ways and he's like that versatile chess piece.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't remember him is is awesome.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, this is this is an amazing thing now granted
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: solid in have, you know, Warner at the end of the year didn't have green law and those guys are dominating right now.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: Warner had 17 tackles green laws hitting like a truck and making all of them hurt.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's sending guys to the blue tent, you know, every single, every single tackle, but I'm just so impressed because, um, now we'll see against Denver, we'll see against Seattle,
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: to have this many new faces, to be in your first year, to have so many injuries on one area of your defense, and you have a really young secondary.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if you don't get pressure up front, your young secondary is probably gonna get roasted and toasted and be feelin' terrible.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: And to come out, play a sortment of zones, and still get pressure with the guys that you got,
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: and to totally eliminate any and all explosives.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: John, it would be amazing if they played 48 snaps.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that they played 80 snaps and had no explosives is incredible.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: They wore down at the end of the day.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's no question about it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: And they can't make a habit of playing 80 defensive snaps.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: They got to figure out a way to get off the field.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I actually was suggesting they do some all-out blitzes early in drives just to make it happen one way or another either give up a touch down or Get off the field he was a little bit more conservative overall, but the intricate things that they did to coordinate there to and I asked Kyle about it today and he's like, yeah, man.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's doing a great job of mixing it up.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: you know, mixes of fronts, mixes of coverages zone, but not the same zone.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's not the same zone.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: So you're showing different looks as, you know, on the back end and you're mixing it up a front, you're playing some stunting games, you're trying to take advantage of some mismatches, you're trying to be smart.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm impressed, man.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: I am impressed, because Robert Sall is a very good defensive coordinator and wasn't like this defense wasn't coordinated well, but look what Reem has been able to do with less with all the injuries up front.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's it's remarkable.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: If this continues, this guy is going to be a head coach next year somewhere.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: to I would not be shocked because everywhere he's been he's been promoted from within his entire career.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: He was one of the youngest head coaches in NFL history and you know stayed on with the Falcons became the head coach didn't really work out.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: But Lane, you talk about this difference between Sala, who is a good DC, not a good head coach.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: And Reemorse, I remember being at the games and just as soon as the defensive Huddle broke, cover three, cover six quarters,
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: what Robert Sol is doing defensively.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're not trying to confuse anybody.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: They want simplicity on the back end to make sure there is no errors or busted coverages.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: You can't do that with the Rahim Morris coach defense.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, true, he spent nine years in the Tampa 2 scheme under Monte Kiffin, right?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: People are always like, oh, he's an odd front and what, do calm down.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: He was decade plus with Monte Kiffin.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like he gets the Tampa 2 scheme and you see some cover
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: You see cover six.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: You see cover three.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: You see, you know, man undercover one.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of stuff and it's looking like different things every time they break the huddle.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: And so now Jacobi persets vet and he's going to be able to pick that stuff apart.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see about Poe Nix.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's not that.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: And so some of the disguising, it's just window dressing for some of these veteran quarter packs that know what's going on.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: And so you're not going to bait them into a lot of mistakes.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_02]: But man, again, some of these younger guys,
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, that's where you're going to start to see it pay dividends.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's one of the things I want to see this week because Bonyx does typically protect the ball well.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at last season, this year, not so much, how's that going to play out?
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: Can we hear more scheme up some disguises to try to get the ball?
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: Because that's the one thing that this defense is lacking thus far.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: And that's turnovers.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Turnovers and getting off the field on third and short.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see if he can must or some of that.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: Get off the field on third and short.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get some turnovers.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: No question.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: And they need more, you know, we'll see what they're with Matthew Jude on.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: If he can get something out of dugger, out of Rheal White, who's back practicing today in a limited fashion.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: I would say, so you took two, I'm gonna go with Raheem.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: If I gotta go with a number two, you went with Greenlaw and...
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: And I saw your title, I cheated, so you don't get bad of me.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go, I'm going to go, where he, my second guy, I'm going to go Grayson Halton because Grayson Halton is playing 30 snaps a game.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: He is, that's a lot of snaps for a rookie defensive tackle.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's being asked to do a lot of things.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: They're lining him up outside at times.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's a tall ask.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: To me, his ability, you know, I was told he's a rusher and you can see the foot speed and he definitely has high motor, right?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: He'll run to the sideline, but to me what I really love about him is his strength at the point.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: He will stack and shed and at the point of attack, he will throw the offensive line in a way.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: He
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: he sees through them, he keeps his vision through the line, through the block, he never loses sight of the interior ball carrier, the ball carrier, I should say, in the interior lanes, and he makes plays on the football.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's functionally strong against the run, he gives you a ton of ass rush.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think top to bottom, I think he's the best defensive tackle they got.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's better than Osso, Digi Zoo, I don't really think that halt.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Osso's an amazing past rusher, but Osso's got issues against the run.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: This guy is more complete.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: This guy will keep his shoulders squared.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: He'll plug up that hole.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: He won't run by the ball carrier.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a little bit better against the run and I like a complete defensive tackle as opposed to just a one-gap penetrating goat and a guy.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: I like O'Diggy Zoo and he's got some special traits, but I think Halton's got, when you're thinking, when you're factoring in fourth round pick and what this guy's doing against the run and the pass as a rookie defensive tackle, I love it.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's been fantastic.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I know we were on KMBR earlier and I brought this up.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: You talked about the alignment.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: Do Grayson was supposed to be the three-tech understudy to Osa?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: There's a big difference between playing the shade plug-a-roll where you're on the center and getting double-teamed almost every single time between the center garden being a three-technique lining up between the garden and the tackle.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's just completely different.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: but you've moved Grayson, it took two weeks with all the injuries.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, you got to move.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_02]: You got to start now.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you were supposed to learn from OSA and B. OSA 2.0 and we just rotate you guys in that B gap and that's your job.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's playing the Javon Kinlowe role.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: He's playing the Earl Mitchell role.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: You think about those types of bodies.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: These are 64 plus 320 plus type dudes.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's not built that way.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_02]: But the result that's on the field, it's pretty freaking awesome and I'm saying a lot of people compare, you know, online about DJ Jones, you played them this week, which is awesome and Grayson halted and I always push back on that because as greatest DJ Jones was DJ Jones was a healthy scratch for two and a half seasons to start his career.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: Do never play.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: He was a healthy scratch every single week.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the third year, second half he turned on and then that fourth year he was dominant and has continued to play that way.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: But for Grace and Halton to do this in the first month as a rookie,
- 25:15[SPEAKER_02]: changing to defense attack positions being good versus the run being good versus the past the consistency this does not make sense this is the type of play you would expect from a top 15 like if you if you showed me the tape of grace and halton and said where did this guy this is rookie year where did he go on the draft all you're saying top 15 and this was one of the worst defensive tackle draft classes that we can remember but you got him in the fourth you
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with you Larry Grayson's fun and like you could just watch 93 when he's out there and have a wonderful time at the ball at the ball game because he's that entertaining that finally he plays with energy plays with passion you can tell it means a lot to him and you always hear John Lynch with the common saying after the draft we're trying to find guys that just love football Grayson love some damn football no question.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: That being said, we've got somebody over here's like 30 second run defense, that's called me.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: That's just Tommy's lovely, which is negativity.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: I love you Tommy.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's killer guitar player, by the way, but yeah, like if you're 30 second total run defense, you're not in yards per rush attempt, you're top 10.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, with these guys.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's the defense has not been able to get off the field.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to have to be able to get off the field at some point.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, as far as I just think, you know, I was expecting where were the pressures coming from, where were the sex coming from.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: And to have a representative pass rush with with injuries they've had is really something else.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: One more on Raheem.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: I was looking at some numbers on Bonix and Bonix does not have strong numbers against the blitz.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: 44.6 passurating in the NFL against the blitz.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to Greg Cocell today and he was like, you know?
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: watching them on film and their offense doesn't have a lot of continuity to what they're doing.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: He said, you know, Denver's office wasn't very good against the Rams.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's not a lot of rhythm there.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: He said there's not a lot of clean past plays.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mentioned to him that one of the things I've seen when I watched them on the All 22 is just that
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: They have like five different running styles that they use.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they'll go duo and they'll go outside zone and they'll go inside zone.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: And they just they've got a bunch of different running plans.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's like it's it's like they and they haven't really defined under Davis web exactly what they want to do.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: And they just don't look like they're put together, but that 44.6 passer rating against the blitz for Bonix is more in line with what young quarterbacks will typically look like when you pressure them and blitz them.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: I would imagine, you know, we're heamed with love to pressure and with just four not blitz, but I have a feeling when you see that number 44.6 passer rating.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think you're going to see some five and six man pressures.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: and he's been a top five blitz rate guy multiple times in his career like he is he's not rubber solid in the timid you know like he will uncork it is this the game a bow next struggle store on the ball versible it's he beats the blitz with his legs
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: that's the date.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: So for the 49ers defense, you've got to be true past rush lanes this week.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like you can't let them get outside.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: So that complicates things a little bit.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: The stunts that you run because you don't want defensive tackles on the outside with boat nicks.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: He can outrun those guys.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's one of the things that I really want to watch.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm with you Larry.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: This Denver Broncos offense.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: to say is below average is being kind, they are not in the top 10 of any metric besides fumbles lost.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: That is it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: So, I chart 18 different metrics every single game.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: We chart the 49th Rush team.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's not just me doing this, but they're bottom 10 and 15 out of 17 categories, offensive categories.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it like
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: They haven't figured it out.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: They've got four incredible wide receivers.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_02]: Their wide receiver core you could argue is best in the NFL if you're looking one through four.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_02]: They can't figure it out.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's so hopefully it's not this week, but they do have two quality wins against the jags and then against the Rams.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like those are two really good football teams, I think, at the end of the day.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: So they can win games.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: And the one thing that Bowniks does, I think maybe as well as anybody in the NFL, he has 11 fourth quarter compacts.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: It is young career, which is, he's a car student.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: He starts slow, but he finishes fast and he's pretty clutch.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and there's no question about that.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do this.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move John and I to the corner real quick.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, here we go.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do our first pick price picks line up for today.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_01]: We'll share the screen and there it is right there and we'll put it right there and turn on and then we've got our graphics over here.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: We want to make sure we got the right graphics.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're nothing without your graphics these days.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, here we go.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: There it is.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right there.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, look at that.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_01]: Price picks use code HMA new users play $5 if it wins.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_01]: You get $150 bonus lineups.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crude show.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll start with it.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll go Niner's Broncos, which of these Brock Purities do you like?
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can have almost any Brock Purities stat you want.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: You got a bunch of them.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: You got 12 different options here.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_02]: I like the less on Brock Purity Pass attempts.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: They got at 31 and a half.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: I think that this is going to be a control of the clock run type game a little bit more, which he's only thrown over 32 times once this season.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: So one out of three.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I do like that number.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'll leave the second one to you, but not saying he got to go with the Larry.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: I like that.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think, what a who else do we have?
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: Where are the options down here?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: Kiddles been pretty good.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I think I'm going to go more on and kind of leaning into your thought is 23 and a half rush yards for Caleb Black.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Is that what that is?
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's definitely for us shirts.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: I like Kaylon Black to have more, you know, more like a 50 or 60 year a day, that it was a heavy dose of McAfrey last week.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think they won't put that on in two weeks in a row.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll ease off a little bit.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: I do think it's gonna be a run heavy plan, but I think they will probably let Kaylon Black touch the ball a bit more.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'll type in Denver, oh, you know, we can see what we want to choose for Denver.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you like here?
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: You're bone next, trout men.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: let's scroll down.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get to I think Southern is kind of the guy that will have success against our corners.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's kind of that older, more savvy vet kind of Michael Wilson who just seems to have his best games against the Niners every time.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I would I would focus on the Portland Sutton.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_02]: He was more towards the top, but if you see something that you like,
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was thinking, Jalen, water, but you know what?
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go Sutton, Sutton.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see, Sutton is, where is he?
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: There he is.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: So you can go Sutton, fantasy score nine, longest reception, 17 and a half yards.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: What's that three reception?
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: I would go over me and I hate that it's that three though, because then if he hits three, then you don't three receptions.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's the killer area.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: How about five and a half receiving targets?
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I do like that.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like that because I like that because, you know, that's he doesn't have to catch it.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he could he could actually be targeted and not catch it.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go with that.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we'll come over here.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: You want to bingo, bangle, put five on it and we will submit our line up down here.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: Click, I like this line up Larry.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is a good one.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a winner.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's view our line up.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a three-pick power play.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: Brock Purdy with
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, 30 less than 31 and a half pass attempts.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: K on black with more than 23 and a half rush yards in Portland, Sutton has to be targeted six times.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: If those three things happen, our $5 becomes 30 and I think those three things are going to happen.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate prize picks to do a great job being a sponsor of the show and we will move everything around real quick and get us back into our normal spots and then we'll move that.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: Beautiful.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_01]: All right, a couple more things before we call it quits.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going for ever tonight, because it's a warm night and we've been working all day, John.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I've got some things coming up later tonight, Johnny's got some things coming up later on tonight.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you think, couple thoughts on this?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: One, one on Purdy, why do you think that we've seen Shanahan have Purdy under center more?
- 34:47[SPEAKER_01]: 26 snaps last week under center 57% of the nine or snaps.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's been under center the sheer through three games.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's quite a bit higher than what he was last year.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have last year's number in front of me.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, there's all kinds of theories as to why.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know it, you know, you operate from under center.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's the mesh point on the play action is a little bit more enticing to freeze the linebackers.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can create a little bit more space in between by freezing the linebackers on the play action from under center than just having the mesh point through the gun.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: I just might, my thought on that.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing I've noticed is I feel like Brock Perti
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ask him tomorrow about this if is it possible that he that they're under the center more because of him because he seems like he gains rhythm in his drop and he's a rhythm player and I just feel like the way I see him bounce back and in rhythm on the drop.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's like he's really worked on that.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's really honed like his rhythm and it seems like
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: It seems that maybe he's, he's under center more so that he can establish a little bit more of that rhythm that makes him so good.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: Other than that, I mean, you think it comes from Shannon and you think it's, what do you make of the fact that he's, it's more like the early days of Shannon and like when Shannon first took over the Niners, they were under center.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they were under center, but then it kind of evolved over the last few years to more of a,
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: you know they're in the gun and they're like a downfield passing team from in the gun and now this year they're nearly 60% from under center and Brock is in full rhythm and looks amazing I'm just kind of wondering where you think that came from and what advantages are there to it yeah like you're talking father Shanahan now like you're going back to the Broncos and 94
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: it complicates the defense because it takes longer to get your read and the new shotgun, you know, pistol was kind of the evolution out of the shotgun because again, we're stick with the Niners in Nevada and kind of this whole, you know, call the cappernick all this stuff that all this came out of, you went to the pistol because you didn't declare where the running game was going.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: When you're in an offset shotgun with the quarterback five yards in the running back to a side,
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: There's only so much you can do.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: And whenever you put the tape out, Ben, you can't run counter to both sides, you can either run a quick toss, you know, outside cracked toss with the Niners do, you could run your zone read through the opposite A gap, like it just limits a lot of that stuff.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: When you are under center and the information,
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: at which the Niners do with the shoot they even put Debo and I formation on one play as the fullback which was hilarious two weeks ago.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: But whenever you're in that formation the quarterback's under center and you step back to give your play action read, it freezes the linebackers and safeties for a full count longer than if there's a shotgun play action because man, you can go and be going left, right, all that different stuff it just takes longer.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_02]: The the running back is also gaining more power speed coming up through the
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: It just changes everything.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: Now Jimmy G didn't like this as much.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: He liked the shotgun.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: He liked to see Brock party.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need to see anything.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: That dude is the dare devil of NFL quarterbacks.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's a Marvel reference for those.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's DC.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_02]: I could be wrong on that one.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm going to get so much fun on this one.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: But the idea is like Brock party, he is so incredible at understanding what the reads are without even looking.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so whenever he turns his back to the defense and carries out that play action, he knows where he's going with the ball before he turns around.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: And once he does plant that on that five or seven step drop, he's in rhythm like you talked about, and he just comes out firing.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: And whenever you have the offensive line that has your back, it has been incredible in past protection like the 49ers have been.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: You just even have even more confidence that you don't have to worry that somebody's going to be hitting you.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: zero, sex through three games is unheard of in today's NFL.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: So it's this whole multitude of you're making it harder on the defense.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Brock knows where he's going with the ball anyway.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_02]: The offensive line is given him confidence.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: The rhythm on those three, five, seven step drops out of, you know, being under center and just how quick the ball is coming out.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: Brock can turn his back to the defense.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: Get his feet set, turn around, and that ball is out so quick.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: How many times have we seen an unblocked defender?
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: come off the edge and not touch Brock Perti.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's how quick he's making these decisions.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_02]: And what's crazy is Brock Perti is dead last to the NFL.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: This is where it's good to be dead last and throwing to his first read.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: He gets from one to two to three to four faster than any quarterback in the NFL.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's his superpower and because he can do that, you can do under center play action seven step drops more and have confidence it's not going to
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: And anybody who thinks the Niners numbers are inflated, they're actually deflated because they've nobody has had fewer offensive plays than the Niners outside of Tennessee.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners are doing this despite the fact that they have not won the time of possession battle.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: Couple, couple thoughts before we get let's talk new players.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Today, Matthew Judean practice for the first time.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's wearing number 43.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think Judean's going to add?
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think that he adds a past rushing kind of significance that you don't truly have on the edge.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: The problem and I like I love the addition.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: I really, really do the problem is you only get a call up to guys a week.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like man.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: I understand that you're getting a mellow height back.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: That helps key on why if he's healthy, missed today with the hamstring right.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, kick him inside a little bit more that helps the defense of tackles, but do you elevate Kevin given's it's a bastion valed as a kid.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you're missing a wide receiver, Brandon cooks probably going to get called up.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: you only get two.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: And so you can't put more guys on IR to create the space.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: So this is kind of the the the chest of the roster management.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think the 40 hours are struggling with Matthew Jude on he's been with the team now.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Get them up there.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think this is going to be his week to dress personally, um, but you're going to have to at some point.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: Miguel Williams back practicing, but yeah, Matthew Judon, somebody that knows the scheme, knows the system, coach under, Rahim, has some explosiveness, hasn't been great in the past, but to look at the names that you're playing with, Nequan Jones, Villami, Fahoko, Junior, Ocaronquo, Khalid, Karine, like,
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: you got to put somebody out there and it's nice to get a veteran with a lot of experience 70 plus sacks, probals, all that stuff played in the scheme.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: It just helps having, you know, create raising the floor play of that defensive light.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's what Matthew Jude does.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think he should help.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we'll see.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's past rushing metrics the last couple years have not been great, but maybe in this environment with this T-line coach, you know, he dials it back to 2022 and has a big five or six games or more.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's interesting.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: How about the receivers?
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's Branding Cooks has been brought in today.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: They brought in Dante Pettis, Pettis practice, wearing number 15, Kyle praised Branding Cooks and said that
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: Um, how do you feel about, you know, I mean, is it possible Evans with the hip and with the ribs isn't going to go this week?
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: And they're going to try to be Denver without Evans or do you think you'll be out there?
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: Or what do you think of of lettuce?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think it cooks?
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: I saw Pettis signing as do we need reps with somebody that knows the system.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I saw.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Pettis is a very real possibility to start and get reps. Could be wrong.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Him and Jordan Walkins just have such a similar style play, space creators, smaller body that are speed guys, but a little more finesse wide receivers.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: But Dante Pettis can play everything.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: He has played everything in this, there's really can play X.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: He can play Z. I doubt you put him at F. But you could.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think Dante Pettis was brought in to help with the load management through practice this week.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: Brandon cooks.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think has a legitimate chance to get called up and to actually get snaps whether Evans plays or doesn't play.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: Brandon cooks was brought in for a reason.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: I think that he will get playing time at some point.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_02]: Dante Pettis, I do not.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: Good be wrong.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm wrong all the time.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: You'd ask my wife.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see petists play in front of walk-ins.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm going to lose my ass if that happens.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: Cook some the other hand.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see him play over walk-ins either.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see them invest in walk-ins.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: I understand there people that don't think walk-ins is good, but you know what?
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: Let's actually find out together, you know?
- 44:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're seeing that leaps at in breakers and shenanigans, the king of in breakers.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and he's got a gear that these other guys don't have.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you can absolutely see it on the practice field.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's got another gear that is special, not everybody has it.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: Um, okay, I want to play this before we get out of here.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: This was an interesting sound bite that I heard today.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, and look at that production production.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_01]: Here he is.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_01]: This is, um, I guess I can, I mean, maybe I'm, that's right.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: So here it is.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: This is where he mostured who weighed in on Brian Thomas Jr.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: He likes to weigh in on everything.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Thomas Jr. is interesting because he hasn't done anything this year.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't do much last year.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he had a great rookie year.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: He made the pro bulls a rookie at double digit touchdowns.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: He was fantastic.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's not old.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's not hurt.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's still on his rookie deal.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now there's all this talk.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to shop him.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: And the Niners name has come up.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: And Raheem was asked about it.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, they have to realize hey, look.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: when I go into a situation it's about my mindset, right?
- 45:24[SPEAKER_00]: As of lately, we know that his mindset hasn't always been there in regards to how he plays, right?
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: And he needs that confidence.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: So what better way than to put him in a different situation with a whole new team that gives him that confidence and that boost and that morale eventually to get back to that rookie year.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that rookie year was exciting for not only him, but for fans for everybody else,
- 45:50[SPEAKER_00]: And a team that comes to mind for me, I'm thinking about the San Francisco 49ers.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that'll be a great fit for him.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, with Mike Evans, we'll see what that injury entails, but obviously, you know, you deal with a vet like Mike Evans to, you know, Brian.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: That I think that it'll be a perfect fit.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: He can go off the top.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_00]: He can make it.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: place at the end of the day, and that's something that the San Francisco 49ers, they're going to need to, you know, they can't just rely on Debo or Kittle or juice use check or even Christian, they need to rely on another person, and I think that I'll be a good fit for them.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Thomas Jr. What do you think?
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, one, I don't know.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out of love Brian Thomas Jr.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: I love to Medellis shoe.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was awesome.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, and I don't know what's happened recently.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, in Jacksonville, he's with Trevor Lawrence.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's not producing.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's been two years in a row.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like it's just one year.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's two years.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't produced.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: But he was awesome as a rookie.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's not old.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's not hurt.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe there's some coverage issue or some
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when you have a great locker room that's getting the most out of guys, that's when I want to take a shot on somebody who's got a lot of talent.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: because if you can connect, now you can really improve your football team.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, is this guy good right now?
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's not been good lately for Jacksonville, but I think if you put him in the 49ers, there'd be such a new focus there.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: They had such a professional high caliber, high standards in their wide receiver room.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_01]: You got Mike Evans in there.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_01]: I know they got other guys, they get cooks, they've got pettis and they've got Christian Kirk coming back and maybe some point dribbling, but I almost feel like you got to pretend like dribbling's out for the year and if I could get this guy, I mean, I saw some article where they said that they think the price tag for Brian Thomas Jr. is going to be a high day three pick.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if that's true, that's a fourth round pick.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I, if I could get this guy for a fourth round pick, I would absolutely do it.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would probably give up a third round pick.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think you put Brian Thomas Jr. at his age in the 49er system.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, I think you take off.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think you would be awesome.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked that idea and he's a high end player who just needs a little bit more professionalism, a little bit more motivation, maybe a better quarterback.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think you could have one of the NFL's best receivers over the next five years.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Evans is at the end.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't the rest of the guys are question marks.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I do it.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: I would do it.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm, you know, I'm, I've said that I would do other deals as well, so maybe people could be, I go, I'll crew, you just want to see them make a trade.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, fine.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see them get better.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this guy would make them better.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm curious what Jacksonville, the coaching staff in general manager, what they have to say.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because yeah, he's been disappointed coming off that thousand yard rookie year and like man everybody thought he was the next, you know, Jordan Jefferson, whatever else and then just got relegated and and you know he's a part of the offense, but has it done much.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: If you get a four fourth, do, yeah, let's go.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think it would cost more than that.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now you're talking about giving up a third round pick.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see how much faith do you have in dribbling?
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, Christian Kirk has to come back.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: You pre-designated that IR to return spot.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: He's coming back should be next week.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, to Marcus Robinson's been incredible in this offense, is he coming back?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: What is your faith in those three guys?
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: But man, if the Mike Evans injury is truly day to day, I kind of showed my shoulders like, yeah, if we can get a value cool, but if Mike Evans is missing long term, which I don't think that he is, that makes this more paramount, like you got to get somebody out there in X that could stretch the field vertically, he could do that at least.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, what, what is the problem?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like, like, how do you have so much success with the same quarterback, your rookie year?
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: What is it mental?
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: Is it kind of a Dante Pettist type guy that just heads not in it, don't like content?
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't know, yeah, like, I truly don't understand.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to rationalize and like, to what is wrong here?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's 23.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's 23.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm all for adding big-time talent on the perimeter.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: Look at this, by the way, NFL rumors, Steelers, Joey Porter, Jr.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: Still a hot trade topic.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: The Lions and the 49ers have been team's monitoring his situation.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's not playing on Thursday.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_02]: You got to do a contract, or he's going to have a Joanne Ginny's back issue.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: He's put out there.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't playing until I get paid.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: like that's part of it.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_02]: So like if you trade for him, you got to pay Joey Porter.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's damn good though.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: That back in you will be injury will be healed immediately after he signs that contract.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's hit our super symbol jet.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one and we will do all these here.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one from D level.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: D level 30.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_01]: D level 30.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: I will watch this later, but keep it going boys.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: I like that somebody views us as a point-man viewing.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's not watching it now, but he's going to catch it later and he's throwing some love our way.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: T says two jewels, silver star.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, T.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, we get this one Raoul Castro real Raiders.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, congrats on three and oh, man.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: We'll find out how real they are this week, but um, yeah, we'll see how it goes.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: Raiders are three and out.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: Are the Raiders legit?
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: No, but they don't beat themselves.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: They're a well coach team with good offensive defensive lines that just kind of stay out of the way.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like they don't win games, but they don't lose games, right?
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if that makes sense.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: And you can do really well in today's NFL if you don't beat yourself.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think Clink Hubiac is of hell of a coach too, too.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_01]: They got some good players too.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: T says imagine this team fully loaded and healthy.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if the Niners could ever get to a fully loaded status, I really think they got a great chance.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_01]: they got a great chance of doing it all this year if they could just get get to that last, you know, get everybody healthy.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Law of all, let's see more wagons this week.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's shown he can play at least last week.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_01]: No question.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: And we have this one as well.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to all the supers by the way.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Kitanya's in the house, sharp corner sports cards and collectibles.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: is a great sponsored the crew shows is another amazing show.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: John, I hope all as well.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: I had the crew show listener.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: I had a crew show listener in the shop today from Atlanta, Georgia.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you again for everything.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: Go Niners.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_02]: Love that.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like to hear that.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like to hear that.
- 53:04[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't interview today at the locker of Khalid Karim and I'm like, yeah, where are you from?
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, well, I live in Atlanta.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, yeah, you know, my, my daughter goes to Emory in Atlanta and he's like, yeah, I might, you know, I think you said my wife, you know, is a nurse practitioner.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, so we had a nice little nice little moment there, um, really good depth Roman has already producing and Josh Dowling says, hey, Larry, after the red socks, what, I respect it.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: I respect it.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was on for over
- 53:39[SPEAKER_02]: No, I want to meet you.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm ruining team media here in that one though.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, come on.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: After red sex.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: My nephew's a big red sex fan.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I love my nephew.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to root for the red sex, but they're out now admirable.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's going to do it.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to do it for us.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to all of you guys.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to John.
