- 0:16Hello and welcome to Arguing Ever After.
- 0:18I am Luke and this is my wife, Amber.
- 0:20Hello. Together we're the Lord and Lady
- 0:23who lock horns. The counting Countess of
- 0:25contention. The Duke and Duchess of
- 0:27Disagreement. And the King and queen of
- 0:29quarrels. In this podcast, we argue about
- 0:31all things big and small, and we let the audience vote determine
- 0:35who the winner is. Many of our topics are
- 0:38frequently submitted by our listeners, which we actually
- 0:40like and need, so please, if you have an idea, send them to us at
- 0:43arguingeverafter@gmail.com. OK.
- 0:48Sounds good. So we're on episode 37.
- 0:52Yep, 37. At some point, we're gonna stop
- 0:55counting, I promise. Are we?
- 0:57I think so. But why?
- 1:00Well, it's, I don't know, they'll get old.
- 1:03Why? Why would it get old?
- 1:05I I don't know. It's just a number.
- 1:07It's. Just a number I don't know.
- 1:09We'll see. It's all new.
- 1:11It's our very first 37th episode.
- 1:13It is our very first and it's also our very 37th episode.
- 1:18That's right. We used to say that and we don't
- 1:20say it, Sir. Don't we type it still?
- 1:22No, no. Oh, I did that last time.
- 1:24I did well, though I don't want the people to know how much I
- 1:26don't do now. We're not going to say any more
- 1:30about that. You did quite a bit recently.
- 1:32That's true. I had a lot of extra time on my
- 1:35hands. Right, right.
- 1:37Which is hard. We don't in general have extra
- 1:40time, so. That's true.
- 1:42You know, I'm glad that we've carved out this little slice of
- 1:44heaven here to argue with each other.
- 1:46Slice of heaven? Well, I mean, I think we argue
- 1:49anyhow no matter what. That's true, But maybe it's
- 1:53helpful to have this dedicated time for arguing.
- 1:56I think it is what were we arguing about right before
- 1:59today? I don't remember right before
- 2:03Ted as in yesterday. No, no, like like 30 minutes
- 2:07ago. I don't remember.
- 2:09I don't remember. It was probably really
- 2:11unimportant. I'm sure because neither of us
- 2:13remember. No, but it was happening it.
- 2:15Was probably about the cat or the dog or something and and
- 2:18whether or not they should be joining us and.
- 2:20Well, they've joined us. The whole flock is here.
- 2:23They're here, but you probably won't see them so.
- 2:25Hopefully and hopefully Maura, hopefully they stay quiet.
- 2:29Yeah, that's what I would like. That's what I would like.
- 2:31There's been a lot of sound stuff going on outside, so I
- 2:35don't know, it's been really loud in our house, but I'm
- 2:36hoping that they're not They're not.
- 2:40Yesterday you and our daughter were singing and our dog.
- 2:44So loudly. So loudly and it.
- 2:47Was great. And our dog decided that he
- 2:49needed to be squeaking his toy with you.
- 2:53He was a backup singer. He was, and he was all about it.
- 2:56And he went the whole round. We were, we went for 10, maybe
- 2:5915 minutes of singing and the whole time just squeak, squeak,
- 3:03squeak, squeak. It was amazing and you were
- 3:07attempting to have a phone call at the time.
- 3:09I was and I think no, I did have a phone.
- 3:12Call was whoever was on the other end, a background
- 3:15recipient of our magic. I don't know that they really
- 3:17paid attention, but I think most people I talked to realize that
- 3:22I don't know. There's nothing quiet about this
- 3:24household. That you live a noisy life, Our
- 3:28very noisy life. That could be like a book title.
- 3:31Oh, there you go. It might be already, who knows,
- 3:35but I what? If we wrote a book, what would
- 3:37we call it? Apparently it would be called
- 3:39our very noisy life according to.
- 3:41That was just a quick idea. Maybe it would be called arguing
- 3:45Ever After. That'd be a pretty good title
- 3:48it. Would be a great title, yeah.
- 3:50I feel like someone would try to steal it though.
- 3:53Speaking of arguing ever after, just a little shout out to us
- 3:56cuz this episode is gonna air on March 24th.
- 4:01Yeah. In the year 2026, OK.
- 4:05And I'm not going to do the math to, you know, shock our
- 4:08listeners because they'll probably think, well, they're
- 4:10not old enough, I know, to have that long of an anniversary.
- 4:14I've actually had a couple of people this week say, wait,
- 4:16what? Anyway, March 24th is our
- 4:20anniversary for when we first started dating many, many years
- 4:23ago. Back in high school.
- 4:26So this is our anniversary edition coming out, showing you
- 4:29how we get down. I don't feel like, I don't know.
- 4:33I feel like once you get married, that's the actual
- 4:35commitment it. Is so it is.
- 4:38We thought about that for a few years.
- 4:39We have and finally. Because I just want to celebrate
- 4:42everything. I just have so much work, so
- 4:46much work. I really just want more presents
- 4:49that's. I know that's what you want.
- 4:53That's the truth. Yeah, I'm.
- 4:55Not I love a present. You do.
- 4:57That is very, very true and known about you.
- 5:01I think everybody knows that about you do.
- 5:03You think so? Does that make me a problem?
- 5:06I mean, does it make you? Oh.
- 5:10I don't know. Everybody knows that Luke also
- 5:13makes a big deal about things. He has a birthday month, you
- 5:17know, like. Being born is a big deal.
- 5:21It happens to everyone who is alive on the planet right now.
- 5:28So I don't know. I mean, I'm sure, yeah.
- 5:31I'm glad you were born, but you know there is that.
- 5:36Not to transition too early, but Speaking of my birthday.
- 5:40Oh my word. In July, folks.
- 5:44In July we are. In March, we're here.
- 5:47Almost. There, let's hear, let's and
- 5:50usually sometimes. Nope, I'm backing up.
- 5:52I was. I was gonna segue.
- 5:53I'm discarding the segue. OK, so.
- 5:56We'll let a new one come around. I feel like though, at some
- 5:59point, usually right about now is when you start saying hey,
- 6:03these are things I would like for my birthday.
- 6:04I literally just sent you something you did like
- 6:08yesterday. I sent you a link to a thing
- 6:11that I thought hey maybe. I won't lie, that wasn't the
- 6:15first thing that you sent to me either about Hey, Intent.
- 6:20I would like this. Yeah.
- 6:22So. A listener or viewer.
- 6:24If you're wondering what my pained expression was a second
- 6:28ago, our cat just decided to jump up on a like a wall feature
- 6:33in our in our lower level and she's currently eating the money
- 6:38tree. Well.
- 6:40She there will be no money for us, but she rich.
- 6:42She is rich. She is rich when we've talked
- 6:46about how our cat is not athletic.
- 6:49So this is a very interesting, you know.
- 6:52And she decided to ascend an entire like that's might not be
- 6:554-4 or five feet. No, no, no, she jumped.
- 6:59It's a lot for her, she. She did a a.
- 7:01Double. Well, right, but I meant that
- 7:02she decided to go vertical that far.
- 7:05I mean, I am a little afraid because she's not very skilled
- 7:09that she might knock something over and this is probably.
- 7:11So unathletic. This is.
- 7:13Just the clunkiest. Yeah, back to our podcast.
- 7:17Sorry, it's just a great little diversion.
- 7:19We should have maybe had some video for the of the cat.
- 7:23Just they would, they would not find it interesting because
- 7:26they'd be like, oh, that's. A cat doing cat stuff.
- 7:27But it's not our cat doing cat. Our cat is more of a dog than a
- 7:31cat. Yep, Yep.
- 7:32So. Well, do you?
- 7:35I got another segue. Do you want to know what our cat
- 7:37had for breakfast this morning? I'm gonna guess cat food.
- 7:40She did, but. Wow.
- 7:43It was that fancy canned stuff. Yeah.
- 7:46And it was tuna. Yeah, that stuff stinks, but.
- 7:53Does she? Likes.
- 7:54True. Yeah, she's very spoiled.
- 7:57Part of that is our fault and part of it is our child's fault.
- 8:01I don't really think it matters, but yeah, well, good for her.
- 8:05I'm sure she enjoyed her. She did.
- 8:07Her meal? It was it was great.
- 8:10You know what else enjoys tuna? This guy right here.
- 8:16Yeah, Yep, I do. But you're kind of persnickety
- 8:21about the tuna. I don't ever see like a tuna
- 8:23fish sandwich or anything like that.
- 8:26I mean, I would really. Yeah, I've never seen you do
- 8:30that. I mean, I don't at home.
- 8:34OK. Do you when you're out?
- 8:35For the most part, I feel like I actually did have a tuna fish
- 8:38sandwich like from Jimmy John's or, or fill in the blank really
- 8:44in the last I want to say in the last six months.
- 8:47That's shocking. I think in the 800 years we've
- 8:51been together, I have. Seen it is about that long.
- 8:54Tuna fish like as a sandwich 0 times.
- 8:58It was one of those things where somebody that I work with
- 9:00suggested that it was perhaps the world's best tuna fish
- 9:04sandwich and I just ought to have it.
- 9:06I don't remember. So I said OK, and then I thought
- 9:11to myself, that's a lot like a tuna fish sandwich.
- 9:15This tuna fish sandwich I'm eating right now.
- 9:18Wasn't the world's best. I mean, I don't know that I
- 9:20would ever go on a quest to find the best tuna fish sandwich.
- 9:25I just don't see people ordering them that often.
- 9:28But sandwich places? I wonder if it's still a staple
- 9:31in the homes of many. The old chicken of the sea.
- 9:34Yeah, yeah. Hey, listeners, comment.
- 9:36Do you still eat tuna fish sandwiches at home?
- 9:39And what was the brand *? Starfish, wasn't it?
- 9:42Star kissed. No star kissed with AK.
- 9:45That's right. Yep.
- 9:47Was that also Chicken of the Sea?
- 9:49Cuz it wasn't the one that said Chicken of the Sea, Yes.
- 9:52Is that a different brand? Nope, I think it's the same
- 9:55brand, but it reminded me of Jessica Simpson and when she
- 10:01learned that tuna was a fish and not chicken.
- 10:06Jessica Simpson, the famous person.
- 10:08Yes, on her reality TV show with her then husband.
- 10:11She had a reality show. Yeah, good.
- 10:13Yeah. I don't remember what it was
- 10:14called, but just actually pretty recently.
- 10:17She was married to the sing singing boot buddy.
- 10:20What's it, 998°? There it is.
- 10:22Nope. I don't know.
- 10:23**NSYNC doesn't matter one of those two.
- 10:25But it recently actually did come across my Facebook feed of,
- 10:29you know, like just laughing that she didn't know that tuna
- 10:32fish was. How do you not know it's a fish?
- 10:35I don't know. It doesn't taste like chicken.
- 10:38I just literally don't. Know if it did, we could trick
- 10:41you into eating it. No, you couldn't.
- 10:43You couldn't. Well, because it doesn't.
- 10:44You would say this isn't chicken.
- 10:46Right, right. It's.
- 10:48Very much not. No, it's not.
- 10:50Chicken. I all like chicken.
- 10:52No, my family tried to, I don't know, lie to me about food
- 10:57frequently enough and I was not I they did it for a little bit
- 11:02on one thing, but man, I'll tell you on fish wasn't happening,
- 11:05wasn't happening. Talking about the old red corn.
- 11:08Old red corn. Yes, yes, you know, I'm going to
- 11:12say we should just be honest with our children about what
- 11:15they're eating, or they might develop complexes of not
- 11:17trusting their parents of what they're feeding them.
- 11:20What I don't understand is why does anyone want beets?
- 11:24I really don't get it. They don't taste.
- 11:26It tastes like actual dirt. Well, you know what canned beets
- 11:30taste like. Canned dirt.
- 11:32Salty. I don't know, I apparently it
- 11:35tasted. Salty.
- 11:36Maybe there was a high sodium content.
- 11:38It must have been pre salted beets.
- 11:40No, it was a high sodium. I mean, it tastes like all
- 11:42canned vegetables. You know how they have that
- 11:45flavor of the juice? Canned flavor.
- 11:48Maybe, but no, I don't. I mean like there's some sort
- 11:50of. Preservative.
- 11:51Preservative. Canned flavor.
- 11:53Anyhow, it tasted like that but Nope, I won't touch it.
- 11:57I have a massive resentment against beets so.
- 12:03I generally have a thing against canned vegetables.
- 12:06Really. OK, OK.
- 12:07Cuz they all taste like not OK. They have a flavor they do.
- 12:13They taste kind of like school lunch.
- 12:15Yep, I have a thing against school lunch because I'm an
- 12:18adult. But you know.
- 12:19What all those you gave me some Italian.
- 12:21Dunkers, I know I was gonna say. That's it though, the one like
- 12:24one thing from school is Italian dunkers.
- 12:26Those were so good. They were, and I wonder if they
- 12:29had them everywhere in the US or if it was a specific to
- 12:31Minnesota thing. Or a Midwest thing?
- 12:34Yeah. Oh, they were so.
- 12:35Good. All right.
- 12:35Any of you coastal or southern listeners that we have, any of
- 12:39you maybe even international, did you guys have a version of
- 12:42garlic cheese bread that was in your school lunch?
- 12:46That was amazing. I mean I think it's calling it
- 12:49garlic cheese bread is just so slight of what it was.
- 12:53I know it's. Italian dunkers.
- 12:55If you've had Italian dunkers, that's.
- 12:58They were so good. Top notch.
- 13:00Another tier item and I I think lunch ladies and lunch gentlemen
- 13:08everywhere. Yeah, for for bringing.
- 13:11Those exclusive. Yes, for bringing those into our
- 13:14lives like once every three weeks.
- 13:16Aren't they now called something like a food service technician
- 13:19or? Something they have something I
- 13:21mean, and that's. Fine, like a janitor is now a
- 13:24maintenance technician. I don't I all jobs have levelled
- 13:28up in their titling. Yeah, well, I think when I was
- 13:31in school they weren't janitors, they were custodians.
- 13:35OK, I feel like that's fair. Yep.
- 13:37Yep, but I don't know. But there was always the lunch
- 13:41lady that reminds. Me Did we ever have fish in
- 13:43school lunch? I don't think so, I don't
- 13:47remember. Probably not, because the whole
- 13:49school would have smelled like fish.
- 13:50Yeah. Fish stink.
- 13:52Did we have fish like fried? Like fish sandwiches?
- 13:56Like fish filet? A mcfish filet.
- 14:00I just thought of that fish on the wall filet of bring me that
- 14:04filet of fish. What was that thing called the
- 14:05Billy Bob Fish? No the Billy Bass.
- 14:08Billy Bass, There it is, and there was one in your house.
- 14:12We had a a Billy Bass, I believe.
- 14:15Yep, Yep. So that's a, you know, call back
- 14:18to when you would buy things off of the TV.
- 14:21As seen on TV was the whole thing.
- 14:23Billy the big mouth bass. I bet you that store doesn't
- 14:26exist in the Mall of America anymore.
- 14:28I have no idea. Yeah, there's still stuff you.
- 14:31Can seen on TVI. Feel like there's still stuff on
- 14:33TV you can buy? I'm sure there is.
- 14:35I bet QVC is still a channel. Oh, I'm sure.
- 14:38And I still feel like there's somebody who's selling rare
- 14:41coins online at about 3:00 in the morning.
- 14:44Sure. And they're, you know what?
- 14:45They're that special accidental mint print.
- 14:47Yeah. That's got the little
- 14:49imperfection on the Statue of Liberty.
- 14:52That there's only 100 million for sales, Yeah, you've got to
- 14:55be careful and you can only buy 20.
- 14:58And you better take make your chance now.
- 15:00Yeah, yeah, it'll be. Before they run out.
- 15:03That's right, Edition. You know what I saw?
- 15:04I'm not even making this up, OK, on late, late night cable TV as
- 15:10we're going to bed and falling asleep.
- 15:15And I think it was, I think Star Trek was on.
- 15:18And when Star Trek's on late at night, they're advertising to,
- 15:22well, probably me, yes, But I didn't want to buy this.
- 15:26I just want to be. Clear.
- 15:28But many of the commercials I'm like, this is clearly an ad for
- 15:32middle-aged men. Yes.
- 15:33Anyway, so they advertised regular old pennies because
- 15:40they've been cancelled. Oh yes, and like this is the
- 15:44final run only whatever and the sleeve of pennies which are
- 15:47worth. $0.50 if there's 50 and there are 25.
- 15:52But they were like double the price of.
- 15:56So it was like you could buy whatever the 10 rolls of pennies
- 16:00for $10. And I was like, wait, what?
- 16:03Yeah, that's a great. Deal.
- 16:05So what does somebody actually think that and who knows if this
- 16:10is gonna happen in, I don't know, some long enough amount of
- 16:14time, 100 years, let's say cuz like you know, the ones they all
- 16:17care about now are like the oh, this is a rare circulation.
- 16:21Yeah, out of print 100 year old. But the Buffalo head nickel,
- 16:25that's one of them for sure. Yep.
- 16:28So like is a penny just gonna be that hard to find in 100 years
- 16:31that haven't a perfect one? Someone's gonna be like, you
- 16:34have a 2026 perfect condition penny sleeve.
- 16:39I'll give you 1000 bucks. I hope not.
- 16:43I mean, I hope not either, but I guess you know, if it's maybe
- 16:47it's a thing. You know what, I guess, I guess
- 16:50if that makes somebody. I just wasn't ready for somebody
- 16:52to be selling pennies that like double the cost.
- 16:56Right. Right now.
- 16:57You mean double the value because the cost of those
- 17:00pennies is more than even 2. Yeah, it's better, but I it was.
- 17:05Yeah, I don't know. Couldn't believe it.
- 17:07Well, see, Hold. I guess that's that's just I
- 17:09mean, if you have pennies, hold on to them.
- 17:11I. Remember, pass them down to your
- 17:12children, people. I'm sure they'll love it.
- 17:14They'll. Be worth 1.2 cents I don't know,
- 17:19but not to the bank. It'll only be worth 1.
- 17:21Cent. They'll go, Well, this is worth
- 17:23a cent. Yes.
- 17:24Yeah. And we can only give you a
- 17:26rounded down amount. Yeah, right.
- 17:29There will be no rounding up. Right, right.
- 17:31So I don't know. Well that is what that is.
- 17:35I don't. I remember you used to like
- 17:38throw pennies away and it would make me mad.
- 17:42Oh, me personally. Yes.
- 17:43You personally, Yeah. And I'd be like, why are you
- 17:45just throwing money away? And you're like, I don't need
- 17:48it, It's just a penny. And I am cheap enough that it
- 17:51was like upsetting to me. And then we got a Piggy Bank.
- 17:55Oh yeah, Yep. Problem solved.
- 17:58Haven't thrown one away in years and years and years.
- 18:01Fountains. I mean like the cost of a wish
- 18:03is going to go up. Big time.
- 18:06We're getting to the $0.05. Territory.
- 18:08Minimum Wow, unless you got some of those rare little coppers
- 18:12rolling around in your pocket. Yeah, yeah, there's still,
- 18:15there's still some discount wishes out there.
- 18:17You know what's not in a wishing well?
- 18:19No. In the water, no fish.
- 18:22Yeah. It's not.
- 18:24That's my third segue of the night.
- 18:25I just want to point out I'm on a roll, right?
- 18:27You can't even take it. What I think is so funny is you
- 18:31can't stick it. I've been crushing it.
- 18:33I don't know what you're talking about, Listener.
- 18:36Don't don't let her take handle me like this.
- 18:38Clearly clear. I'm being.
- 18:41He's clearly professional. I'm being repressed.
- 18:44In his Segways, I'm letting you know, it's like, you know, I am
- 18:47fishing, I'm throwing, you know, I'm letting you cast the net and
- 18:51then you just let it go. No, no, I was doing great.
- 18:55OK, well keep talking. This is a test for you.
- 18:59Well, you've thrown off my whole rhythm.
- 19:01Oh, I'm sorry. So back to the not in wishing
- 19:05wells. Yeah, where there's no fish.
- 19:08Where there's no fish. It's such a great segue.
- 19:11Do you know where there are fish?
- 19:12Where? Not yet though, in our pond.
- 19:15Oh. A little goldfish.
- 19:17Let's not talk about that. I always feel weird about that.
- 19:21This is blueberry Donuts. I can't.
- 19:25Our fish I feel bad for. You.
- 19:27Well, you don't put blueberry doughnuts in the pond, dear.
- 19:29I don't, I don't, I don't, you're right, I don't.
- 19:35But I feel bad for the little fish in our pond so.
- 19:38OK. You'll have to clean that pond
- 19:41out soon. I'm not prepared.
- 19:45Yeah, I might not be able to in time depending on how things go.
- 19:50Did you ever have fish as a kid did?
- 19:52I have fish as a kid. Like a little pet fish.
- 19:57There's a chance, but I don't actually think so.
- 20:00I feel like you'd remember. Well, but so I had two brothers
- 20:04and there's a chance it might have been like their pet.
- 20:06Right, my point is OK. I don't you think so did.
- 20:10Luke. Have I'm gonna go with no.
- 20:13OK, I had fish. OK, I had little beta fish.
- 20:18OK. I had a male and a female.
- 20:22OK. Did they make baby beta fishes?
- 20:24They didn't, and I was, I mean, I guess I kind of thought that
- 20:27they would, but I feel like the female killed the male.
- 20:33Uh oh, so that. Is intense.
- 20:36And I don't know how familiar you've.
- 20:38Cut Did she eat them? Animals a lot.
- 20:40No, I think she just killed them just dead.
- 20:42Just killed them dead. Dang, but the little females are
- 20:45not as beautiful as the male beta fish.
- 20:48Of course they're not, and you just point out that males are
- 20:51almost, in many species, the more beautiful I.
- 20:54Have something about beta fish in a second.
- 20:56But anyhow, so I had kind of this ugly little female fish and
- 20:59the little sucker catfish thing that cleans out sucker fish.
- 21:03Yeah. So you know what had been like
- 21:06this beautiful beta fish, you know, because they are gorgeous,
- 21:10you know, that's why I really wanted it.
- 21:11And I had birds. Too.
- 21:14I'm talking about my fish. Yep, I was just.
- 21:16In my tank when I was a kid. Yep, I was talking about males
- 21:20being more beautiful. Remember really latching onto
- 21:23that. To that fish thing, yeah, OK.
- 21:26Well so you had this dead fish, What are you saying it just the
- 21:28suckerfish ate it or what? No, I would.
- 21:31No. You throw out a dead fish.
- 21:32That's good. In your tank.
- 21:33I'm glad you did that. That's good.
- 21:35In the tank. It'd be weird.
- 21:37This is Did we have fish in college?
- 21:39I'm gonna air quotes. College.
- 21:41We did. For the listener, don't think
- 21:43we're educated. Because we're not.
- 21:45Not at all. We briefly attended a higher
- 21:47education for a very short time briefly.
- 21:51Well, but no, we did actually, and I don't know if you
- 21:54remember, but our cat ate the fish.
- 21:57Yeah, we had a killer of a cat. Yeah, she killed everything you
- 22:01bought. Everything you did, you have it.
- 22:04Butterflies did. Was that it?
- 22:05Yep, killed. Them well, I hatched no, I OK,
- 22:08so did. You have those little.
- 22:11I hatched caterpillars which then went into cocoons and then
- 22:16turned into butterflies and that's when she killed them.
- 22:19Wow. All that work they were going to
- 22:21get let free, be beautiful monarchs out in the world.
- 22:26And she just killed them. She just ate them.
- 22:28She apparently wasn't interested when they were caterpillars.
- 22:31Didn't you have what are they called the little shrimps?
- 22:34I've definitely, definitely. Sea monkeys, that's what it did.
- 22:37You have them and then she ate those.
- 22:39Too. No, no, I definitely.
- 22:41She tried to eat the dog. She tried to eat a dog.
- 22:44Yep. Yep.
- 22:45Did she try to eat the rabbit? I don't remember, maybe, but she
- 22:50didn't. My rabbit was crazy though.
- 22:52We named it Tweak. So this is the problem.
- 22:56What's the problem? Now we have to somehow segue
- 22:59back to fish cuz you've gone all the way to other animals.
- 23:06I like animals. So, but I was saying, OK, so I
- 23:10said put a pin in the beta fish. OK.
- 23:13Because when we got married, yeah, three years ago we got
- 23:18married. It was 23 years ago.
- 23:20We got married on a boat. On a boat.
- 23:23And the centerpieces for our boat were vases that had calla
- 23:30lilies and a little bit of fish swimming around.
- 23:32Yep, an ode to your childhood and to your your people.
- 23:37My people, my dad, because my dad is My dad was a avid
- 23:42fisherman. I don't think it was about.
- 23:43That I was talking about the calla lilies, but.
- 23:46Calla lilies. Why?
- 23:47Wasn't that like somebody's favorite flower or something?
- 23:49No, it's the beta fish can live off of Calla.
- 23:52Lily. I mean, I knew that.
- 23:55You know, when you do a lot of wedding planning and like you're
- 23:58in all of that which you no, there's a lot of details that
- 24:03maybe one person thinks about that you.
- 24:05Know I just like that you went so cuckoo on that because I.
- 24:09I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just showed up.
- 24:13Themes are hard for you. That's true.
- 24:16That's why we've had a hard time staying.
- 24:18Multiple topics. Hard time staying on fish?
- 24:21Do you know what was in the river?
- 24:22In, in in where we got married in the boat.
- 24:26Fish. Hey old, is that my 4th or fifth
- 24:30one? I don't know, I don't.
- 24:32I'm feeling strong. I think 5th, I think 5th feeling
- 24:34strong. Every once in a while, you know,
- 24:38it's, it's definitely Luke's turn to like, really hold the
- 24:42podcast together. And I'm doing it today.
- 24:45You're doing it today. Man, do you know what I'd do
- 24:52with almost all those fish except the little tiny ones that
- 24:55would be inedible? I would eat them.
- 24:57Yeah, that's disgusting. Tuna in and I'm in.
- 25:01I love a sushi. Yeah.
- 25:04Or a nice tuna steak. No sushi grade.
- 25:07Raw in the middle, crusted on the outside.
- 25:09Delicious. Would you like just catch?
- 25:12It river fish. I'll eat some of that.
- 25:14Would you like catch a fish and just eat it?
- 25:18Absolutely. What do you mean?
- 25:19Like without cooking it. No, you can't do that.
- 25:24I don't think you can do that here.
- 25:25You can't do that with sushi. What do you mean what are we,
- 25:29Gollum and Lord of the Rings? Right now we're just eating fish
- 25:31in our mouth. Sushi's not cooked.
- 25:34I know, but you have to prepare it correctly.
- 25:36Which is what? What?
- 25:38Cut it. Yes, scale it, bone it, cut it,
- 25:42but then there's like certain, I don't know cuz I'm not a sushi
- 25:45chef. Why are you challenging me right
- 25:47now? I just don't.
- 25:49There's that one listen, there's that one kind of sushi, yes
- 25:52that's like famous in Japan or whatever.
- 25:54And like if the sushi master does it wrong, you die.
- 25:57I remember this from The Simpsons.
- 25:59And it's a true story. But I.
- 26:02So I'm pretty sure with sushi you can't just like, I don't
- 26:04think the idea is just eat raw fish.
- 26:07I think it's like there's specific parts of the fish and
- 26:10you got to like have it maybe at certain cuts and temperatures
- 26:13and. For for that one fish you're
- 26:16talking about like they go to like some sort of training.
- 26:19And when I say go to, I'm sure now they probably do it online,
- 26:22but like you have to be certified in serving that type
- 26:25of fish and disposal of the poison.
- 26:29I mean, there's a part of me that wants to try it, but
- 26:31there's that other part of me that's like, what if they did it
- 26:33wrong? They aren't gonna.
- 26:34They aren't gonna. I mean, sure.
- 26:36I mean, well, that'll shut down a business, won't it?
- 26:39Precisely. That's that's the thing.
- 26:41And I mean, I feel like it's probably not very cheap.
- 26:44And isn't it just like puffer fish?
- 26:46I don't actually know. We went scuba diving one time.
- 26:50We did. And our scuba instructor named
- 26:54Jorge. He was so great.
- 26:56He was wonderful. He also briefly was our tour
- 27:00guide and our friend in Mexico. Yes, he was wonderful, but he
- 27:05went he was he kind of looked like he belonged in the water.
- 27:09Yes, he had like a fish like shape which sounds.
- 27:13What is a? Fish like shape but.
- 27:17He didn't have gills. He didn't have gills, but he
- 27:20looked very like he could float well, you know, very round, like
- 27:26a fish. I wouldn't say round.
- 27:28I would. Rotund.
- 27:30OK, OK, but like, you know, like like fish are kind of bloated or
- 27:35whatever it is, you know, but he had very skinny legs and all of.
- 27:38That that's true, he did. So he, but he was, I think he
- 27:41was kind of made for the water. Anyhow, we were scuba diving and
- 27:44he had taken us and I don't know if there's anyone else with us
- 27:47at that point, but we were out in the reef and he's like one
- 27:51second threw his snorkel up off his face and then came back and
- 27:56he had a little puffer fish in his.
- 27:57Hand in his hand. Yeah, yeah.
- 27:59Not puffed out. No, but it did puff out.
- 28:02It did. It did.
- 28:02Later he let it go and it went boop.
- 28:04Yeah, yeah. So I don't know.
- 28:06I don't know how you catch a fish by hand.
- 28:08I I would not advise anyone to try to catch a puffer fish.
- 28:11Well, he seemed fine with it. They.
- 28:13Get puffy and spiky for a reason.
- 28:15Well, yeah, but I mean, he figured it out.
- 28:17But he was a scuba master. He also might have been part
- 28:20fish. This is what I've said, right?
- 28:22He looks like it. Which is really.
- 28:23Interesting. Maybe, he said.
- 28:24Hey fish brother, yes, I just need you for a second.
- 28:27Maybe he was the real Aquaman, the real Aquaman.
- 28:32I don't know anything about Aquaman, but.
- 28:34Maybe. But I think maybe he could have
- 28:36been, he was, he was pretty. How do you catch it?
- 28:39I don't know. So, and that's something we've
- 28:42never done when we've been ocean vacationing is we've never gone
- 28:46ocean fishing. I thought you were gonna say we
- 28:48never met Aquaman. Well, we did.
- 28:51His name was Jorge and he was just cool.
- 28:54OK, that was him. Yep.
- 28:59I missed my chance to recognize the truth.
- 29:01I know you know, well, I think that was pre fame.
- 29:05Maybe. Yeah, sure.
- 29:07He did not look like Jason Momoa.
- 29:11I mean. Who played Aquaman recently?
- 29:13Yeah, yeah, I would. I would agree he was not very
- 29:16adjacent. But you know what?
- 29:18Who I oddly have found out you find detestable.
- 29:22He's not. I don't know, whatever.
- 29:24So many ladies are into him. It's not.
- 29:28I don't know. You don't want to talk about it.
- 29:30I'm. Because he's gross.
- 29:32There are people who I'm sure he's a very fine human being.
- 29:35I don't know. I I hope so.
- 29:38Yeah, I I hope so too. Yeah, I hope so too.
- 29:40I guess I really probably also haven't seen.
- 29:42He listens or not listens. Does he listen to us?
- 29:45Cuz I he's my favorite. Oh my God.
- 29:47Jason Momoa. Biggest fan ever, I love him.
- 29:55I was listening to a podcast that I listened to that I like
- 29:59quite a bit and he was a guest for what was the name of that
- 30:04show. It was a really good show about
- 30:07like the ancient Hawaiian tribes and like the war between the
- 30:13tribes. This is like pre colonialism.
- 30:16And it was really, really good. Actually.
- 30:18That was interesting. But he basically said he likes
- 30:21acting 'cause, you know, he's good at it and he makes a lot of
- 30:25money, but his goal in life really is to smoke a bunch of
- 30:27pot and play video games. And I was like, oh, that's so
- 30:32depressing. Like, you know, you're like
- 30:35super famous, super rich, good looking, and your goal in life
- 30:38is to just play video games and smoke you.
- 30:41Do nothing. Your goal in life.
- 30:42Well, you know, I mean not. Very inspiring, I'll say.
- 30:45That as you can see, I I picked the winners right like.
- 30:49There it is. Huh.
- 30:50Yeah. You're.
- 30:52Not married to some POD head. No, no gameplay.
- 30:56But again, who also happens to be a multi millionaire.
- 30:59And apparently. And Aquaman.
- 31:00And apparently listens to our podcast.
- 31:03Maybe he's our number one biggest fan.
- 31:05He could be. He could be.
- 31:06He might be. Well, Amber, I have a question
- 31:13for you. Oh, and now, ladies and
- 31:18gentlefish, the moment you've all been waiting for.
- 31:21That was cute. I know sometimes I am.
- 31:24In this corner we have Luke, who is, oh, sporting his red and
- 31:29black and white hat, representing a certain high
- 31:33school we might have gone to in the Saint Paul area.
- 31:37And we're the only ones who ever had those colors.
- 31:39So, you know, whatever. Yeah, super.
- 31:41Rare color combo. Super.
- 31:42Super rare coming in hot today. Off a losing streak.
- 31:48Yes, yes, we're still stuck. We're stuck at the ties, which
- 31:53I'm OK with, you know, 8 ties. Luke's won 11.
- 32:00Yep. And you've lost 16.
- 32:02But I'm going to tell you I can see the future.
- 32:05And this next one coming up, you're really, you're ahead.
- 32:08I think I should have won Star Wars.
- 32:10That's just messed up. I think it's hilarious that you
- 32:13did. It's just it's I've been
- 32:14betrayed by the world and by not enough listeners voting.
- 32:19I mean, or I did actually by chance happen to pick the better
- 32:25movie. Anyways.
- 32:27Yeah, so that's what we got, Luke.
- 32:29And in this corner corner, claiming to weigh in at 135 lbs,
- 32:34we have the ever darling, ever delicious and not so fishy Amber
- 32:40not. So fishy.
- 32:43OK. So the question is, I haven't
- 32:49even. I'm gonna just wing it.
- 32:50Oh goodness, this. Is.
- 32:52Fish is fish, or is it good fish?
- 32:57Our. Fish is and our fish good to
- 33:00eat. OK, like.
- 33:04Is that simple enough? It's super simple.
- 33:06Do you need to modify it at all? No.
- 33:08No, I mean, I feel like you're asking like good in flavor, not
- 33:14necessarily like good in health or anything like that, Right.
- 33:17Like, yeah, right. OK.
- 33:19Should you eat fish? Yes, yes, our fish.
- 33:24Or I wish you would eat fish. This is a very is it our fish or
- 33:28is fish? Well, fish are plural.
- 33:31But they're also singular. I feel like the question is, is
- 33:36fish good to eat, good tasting to eat, good to put in your
- 33:42mouth and consume OK for deliciousness?
- 33:45Well this is super simple to me. Wait, just fish.
- 33:50Any and all things from water I'd fit in.
- 33:54OK, well, so fish. Seafood.
- 33:57Sure, seafood and fish. And lake food.
- 34:02Trying to find out if you're angling right now.
- 34:05I am of course, but. Why are you trying?
- 34:09Is there something you would eat out of water at all?
- 34:13No, I don't think you would eat anything from a lake or an ocean
- 34:16or a river. I maybe would eat a sea beam.
- 34:18What's that like a vegetation? Yeah, yeah.
- 34:21No, no, we're talking about. I understand.
- 34:23Creatures. Something that lived.
- 34:25Yeah, with like, eyeballs. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:28And like body parts. Yeah, I really Shrimp.
- 34:32No fish. No, no, no.
- 34:34OK, OK. Swordfish.
- 34:36So we're gonna start off with. Whatever else you can eat.
- 34:39Crab. Lobster.
- 34:40No, no, no, no. I have baby.
- 34:42Craw Crawfish. This is what?
- 34:44From the South. This is why I'm asking because
- 34:47fish are in different category from all those others to me.
- 34:51What do you mean? Like I have different reasons
- 34:53for both, but the answer to me is no, fish are disgusting and
- 35:01they should not be eaten. I really don't like fish at all.
- 35:06I don't like the smell of fish and I if I don't like the smell
- 35:09of something, I'm certainly not going to eat it.
- 35:12Like do you smell fish and think that smells good?
- 35:16Just curious. I'm curious if I have a
- 35:18different. Yeah, you do.
- 35:21Yeah, I think cooking fish smells good, that.
- 35:23Smells good to you. Interesting.
- 35:26OK, well. Now hold on.
- 35:29That being said, I think it lingers a little too long.
- 35:34Like bacon. I weirdly I really like bacon
- 35:38but I do not like that for like a full 24 hours.
- 35:41Your house. You cook 2 strips of bacon and
- 35:44your house is like cool, I'm going to smell like bacon and
- 35:47all your clothes are going to smell like bacon for a full day.
- 35:50I just remembered another little.
- 35:52Fish doesn't last that long. But another little.
- 35:53But yeah, I like the smell of cooking fish.
- 35:55I have cooked fish and I liked it.
- 35:58No. OK, so I remembered another
- 36:01little antidote anecdote. I'm like struggling.
- 36:06The words are hard. We've talked about this.
- 36:08We had to start. Stuck in your nose?
- 36:1075 times today, but. There's a few reboots.
- 36:15But we have another little fish thing that maybe we'll share
- 36:18another time, remembering something dating back to maybe
- 36:23the 1999 and something that happened with us in Fish and oh.
- 36:32That's a good story. Yeah, yeah, it's.
- 36:35Not maybe advisable though. Because I think it's well past
- 36:38the statute of limited. Well, I don't think it was
- 36:40technically a crime. It wasn't.
- 36:43Well, a couple of them might have been.
- 36:44There was more. There was a multi pronged
- 36:46attack. No, it wasn't.
- 36:48It wasn't, and it's. If you wanna, if you wanna share
- 36:51it, you could share it. It's up to you.
- 36:53It's passed the statute of limitations.
- 36:55There's no problems there. Like it's not really a crime,
- 36:58but but maybe we'll save it because now people are like,
- 37:01wait, what? Happened.
- 37:02I know there's what's going on. So we'll save that.
- 37:06Just put that out there fun for another time.
- 37:09But anyhow, no fish is disgusting.
- 37:12We could have a episode about that topic.
- 37:16OK, Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna scribble that
- 37:20down. Somewhere.
- 37:21Because going forward. Everybody was like, what are
- 37:24they talking? About I know that I mean the
- 37:25cliffhanger. Situation is, I'm loving it.
- 37:28I'm loving it. So wait, back to the fact that
- 37:31you don't like the idea of a nice shore lunch or a fresh
- 37:33catch. No.
- 37:35Or oh God in heaven, just get me.
- 37:39I want right now. We already had dinner today.
- 37:42I wanna leave the house and go get some fish and chips.
- 37:45You could do that. I would.
- 37:47I probably couldn't actually. It's 930.
- 37:49Most places are probably not. I'm sure there's some late fish
- 37:53and chips. Maybe the place right by the
- 37:55house. I didn't even know there was a
- 37:57place right by the house anyhow. So no, I don't like fish at all.
- 38:01I don't like to eat it. I don't like to smell it.
- 38:03I really don't. I don't want it cooking in my
- 38:06house. That's just facts.
- 38:08I think we've never had fish cooked in any of the places
- 38:11we've lived. I mean, I've said you could do
- 38:13it if I was gone several days, but I just I don't like fish.
- 38:18I think I like, I like fish in the water.
- 38:23OK, That's where they belong. I but like when they come out of
- 38:28the water there's I don't. Know when you eat them.
- 38:31I don't eat them, no. I grew up with a person, my
- 38:35father, who fished and he never, I don't think ever ate the fish
- 38:38that he caught. But I it was catch and release
- 38:42type of a thing. I remember fishing with a friend
- 38:45once and they, like a lots of people did, were using worms.
- 38:49And I'm thinking you're using worms to catch your fish.
- 38:53Therefore, you're eating something that's eating worms,
- 38:58or willing to eat worms, which means you know then are you not
- 39:04essentially just eating worms? That's not how that works.
- 39:07So, but no, this is where my I'm stuck in why I would like at
- 39:11that point I was like, I'm never giving it another chance.
- 39:14I didn't like it when I was a kid.
- 39:15Like those Gordon fish sticks. Did that only happen in the
- 39:18world of fish with you or is this just justifications?
- 39:22Well, things you eat that eat other things, don't you?
- 39:24Like, Like, do you think that like, what the chicken eats is
- 39:30somehow inherently also what you're eating?
- 39:33So that's a good question and we can come back to chicken again.
- 39:36We did talk. About or pork or.
- 39:41Beef or with eating grass if I had to eat grass.
- 39:45They all eat grass, huh? You know what?
- 39:47Let me live in my palace. OK, Delusion.
- 39:51Live in your palace of Delusion. I love it, but that's.
- 39:55A good name. Palace of Delusion.
- 39:56That's another book title look at.
- 39:58We're all right writing it down. Palace of Delusion.
- 40:00Get ready people. OK, it's coming, coming too much
- 40:03in there bookshelves. Near you in the next 5 to 50
- 40:06years. Give or take or not of delusion
- 40:09anyhow, so. But I think they're disgusting.
- 40:12I would never want to eat one. I also like felt really bad
- 40:16watching the fish and this might be part of it too, watching the
- 40:20fish like struggle to breathe. You know, I read a book once
- 40:23called Saving Fish from Drowning and it was a very interesting.
- 40:27Saving fish from drowning. Drowning, yes.
- 40:30Oh, because out of water, that's probably like what happens.
- 40:32Yes, in reverse, yes to so, but it ends at fish for you again,
- 40:38back to the OK, let's pork chicken.
- 40:42Nope. No.
- 40:42Remember. No.
- 40:43We don't wanna. No, OK.
- 40:45So fish, no, I don't like there's, there's nothing I like
- 40:50about them. Now, if we're going into seafood
- 40:52and I don't know, maybe we wanna save that, but we don't need to.
- 40:55Essentially, seafood is like the insects of the sea.
- 41:00Let's just keep it to fish comma any water type fish of the sea,
- 41:06which would include shark or swordfish or.
- 41:09So not. Sailfish or tuna?
- 41:11Okay. Then it doesn't.
- 41:12Really. Cuz you wanna make that like the
- 41:13shrimp or bugs and crabs or bottom feeders.
- 41:16And that's all true. But so.
- 41:20The question is. We could have another debate as
- 41:22to whether sea bugs are worthy of eating, and I would make the
- 41:26same contention hell to the yes. OK, well, we'll go back to the
- 41:30fish. And I don't even know how long
- 41:32we've been at me discussing fish, but but my answer is I
- 41:39don't like fish. There's nothing.
- 41:41I don't want to eat it if if it was eat fish OK and thankfully
- 41:47don't live in a world where it's eat fish or nothing.
- 41:49I was gonna say or die. We would.
- 41:51Like I probably would eat fish or I mean, I don't know.
- 41:57I really truly don't know what I would I guess.
- 42:00So not certain whether you would choose death or fish at this.
- 42:03Point I mean. Stuck on a desert island,
- 42:08nothing to eat except potentially fish, and you're
- 42:11like. Well, I mean, here's the thing.
- 42:12I could just die I. Probably, but that's my point.
- 42:15Like the reality is on that deserted island, I'm not going
- 42:18to know how to catch a fish, OK? I'm probably going to die anyhow
- 42:22O. Hardest part is always the hook.
- 42:25And what am I gonna do? I mean, maybe I would try, but
- 42:27I'd probably go crazy out there trying to figure out how to
- 42:30catch a fish and then never catch it.
- 42:32And so then I've lowered. My standard, that's what.
- 42:36I would. I would die of sunburn.
- 42:38I don't know, like I think, well, no, I know I would die of
- 42:41something really dumb like a urinary tract infection.
- 42:44I would not die of sunburn. I wouldn't die of like I ate the
- 42:48wrong fish that was poisonous. I wouldn't die of like drowning
- 42:52out there trying to catch a fish.
- 42:54It would just be really something very lame and they
- 42:58would just be like, Nope, it was exposure.
- 43:00They would give me the I feel like, I feel like that's what
- 43:03they would do. They're like, OK, we're going to
- 43:05throw this lady a bone and not let people know how pathetic it
- 43:08is of what she died of just literally not being able to
- 43:11handle living out in the wild. You know, so, but no, I, I just
- 43:17don't like fish. They're disgusting.
- 43:19They don't taste good. There's so many other delicious
- 43:21things to eat. I will say no.
- 43:23Great. I'm ready for you to be done.
- 43:25OK, thanks for that. Now I just want to talk about a
- 43:28lot of deliciousness about fish, because there's so much
- 43:32deliciousness and there's so many kinds of fish.
- 43:35Like growing up going fishing with my brothers and my dad and
- 43:39my grandpa catching fish out of the lake.
- 43:42We had a lot of all kinds of we had all kinds of different fish.
- 43:45I remember liking bass I think the most.
- 43:49I like trout. We catch trout and crappies and
- 43:52sunnies. We had northern one time and I
- 43:55don't know if you're supposed to eat that, but I didn't think it
- 43:57was as good. Love me some walleye.
- 44:00That's a thing all over where we are here in Minnesota.
- 44:03Walleye's delicious and like, I like a fish grilled.
- 44:08I like it fried. I like it.
- 44:10I mean, you could do almost anything to a fish and I'm
- 44:13probably going to eat it. It's delicious.
- 44:17There's So if you could bake a fish, I'm going to eat the fish.
- 44:20I like fish from the ocean. I like mahi mahi.
- 44:23I like red snapper. That's some delicious swordfish
- 44:27is amazing. There's oh, there's like an
- 44:32almost endless amount of fish and I have I think yet to meet a
- 44:35fish I didn't want to eat. Now I hear there's some that
- 44:38smell really bad Monkfish is that one that's supposed to
- 44:43smell really bad. I.
- 44:45Don't. You've seen a lot of cooking
- 44:47shows. It's ugly fish.
- 44:49Anyway, like all the fish that I've had, I like the fish and I
- 44:54like it in all the ways. I like fish and chips.
- 44:56We talked about that earlier. I like tuna, I like sushi.
- 45:01Like fish is good. And not only does it taste good
- 45:05almost all the time, 'cause you could put in like you could make
- 45:08it savory, you could make it spicy, you could make it acidic,
- 45:13you could, there's just so much you could Irby man, I want some
- 45:18fish right now. Also, fish is super good for
- 45:22you. Uh, uh.
- 45:23Hey. Oh, we're not going into
- 45:25nutrition? Nope.
- 45:26Was that a rule? No, here's the problem, I said
- 45:30when we were asking, you said is fish good?
- 45:33And I said, are we asking is it good to eat?
- 45:36Or that's not the argument, but I was just pointing out the
- 45:38truth. I mean, OK, that'd.
- 45:40Be like, if I said I don't want to eat beef and you said beef's
- 45:43good for you, well, you'd been right.
- 45:46I didn't disagree with that. You were very upset.
- 45:49I mean, it's still the truth. And I mean, really, for me it's
- 45:53just a simple argument. It's there's a reason.
- 45:56It's like the food of life. Everything eats fish that can, I
- 46:01mean, like camels can't because they're in the middle of a
- 46:04desert. But bears eat fish.
- 46:06You've seen all them cool shows where they've been catching
- 46:08salmon in the river and birds eat fish and I mean, what
- 46:13doesn't eat fish? I know that has access to it.
- 46:16I don't you well, and probably I'm guessing some some many
- 46:19other humans, but it seems to be rather popular and has been for
- 46:24a long time. Jesus, he gave people fish and
- 46:29bread. I learned that from you because
- 46:32I don't know a lot about Christianity anyway, so fish is
- 46:37what's up. Also right now I I just said
- 46:40Jesus, it's Lent and there's fish fries all over the place.
- 46:43It is all over. Everyone in Minnesota is getting
- 46:46down on some fish fry. Yeah.
- 46:48Yeah. They just built Friday with AY.
- 46:49It's Friday. Yeah.
- 46:51Yeah. Cuz fish fry day.
- 46:53Also, I like a fish fry just that's all you get what kind of
- 46:57fish you want, fish or fish. Yeah.
- 46:59Good, I'm in. Let's do it.
- 47:02Nope. Oh, I love fish.
- 47:04The best fish I ever had was for our anniversary.
- 47:06Did we talk about this earlier? No, that was one of the things
- 47:09you could have segwayed with. Oh, it was so good.
- 47:13OK people, every once in a while, I'm sure there's other
- 47:16people out there who have had all the kinds of fish who like a
- 47:18fish if you ever get the chance. There was a special menu item
- 47:23one time at a fancy restaurant. We went out for our anniversary.
- 47:25It was fancy. We dressed up.
- 47:28This is probably 15 years ago and they had on their specials
- 47:32menu halibut cheap now for y'all.
- 47:35I don't know. A halibut is a gigantic fish.
- 47:39They're in the North Atlantic. They're like, I don't know,
- 47:41they're probably 13 feet long or some.
- 47:43They're massive fish. So a cheek of the fish is an
- 47:47actually reasonable size of meat. 13 feet.
- 47:52Long halibuts are huge. This cannot be true.
- 47:54I feel like I've seen a halibut in a chef's hands before.
- 47:58Thinking of a mackerel. No, they're big fat round the
- 48:02round, aren't they? Well, maybe.
- 48:05Maybe we're both wrong. They're real big.
- 48:07I'm. Going to sticking with big.
- 48:08They're big. I remember so big old fish yes
- 48:11hence that such that their cheek is a viable piece of meat.
- 48:17Mm hmm because it's a big piece of meat and it was a Parmesan
- 48:22crusted pan fried halibut cheek and it was so good.
- 48:28There's like been a couple things I've had in my life that
- 48:30are so memorably delicious. I I couldn't believe it.
- 48:34That was one of them. OK.
- 48:37And man, other ones that top the list, apricot crusted pork filet
- 48:42that I had that one time at that place that's closed now in
- 48:45Uptown. And there's been some steaks
- 48:47that have blown my mind and some BBQ that's blown my mind.
- 48:50And but man, when it came to fish, that one did me in.
- 48:54And then there was that one time we had tuna when we got lost in
- 48:56Costa Rica. Remember that we drove up the
- 48:59coast. We were lost all the time in
- 49:01Costa Rica. Well, we got lost on the coast
- 49:04and we drove up north and it was getting dark and then there was
- 49:06this restaurant and they didn't speak English and we sat down
- 49:09and I had a tune, which is tuna and you had probably pollo
- 49:15because chicken. Wasn't good.
- 49:18Food the chicken well the fish was delicious.
- 49:19Of course it was we were and man, Mexico, the all red snapper
- 49:24and I can't I could I'm I'm like seriously having some desires
- 49:29right now to eat fish. I'm gonna rest my case.
- 49:32I feel like the people are gonna know and decide based on their
- 49:35own loves and choices. But do.
- 49:37You like fish or not, that's the vote.
- 49:39That's it. That's the vote.
- 49:41Is fish a good food or not? Are fish a good?
- 49:44Food it are is the are the fish. Are.
- 49:48Fish good, good foods. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:51Take a vote anyway. So how would they do that?
- 49:54Well, they could do it right on the Spotify pool, which I
- 49:56apologize for not having it up perfectly the last time that was
