- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. Well, for this episode, I've
- 0:10Speaker 1: actually asked the Lord for protection on this one because
- 0:19Speaker 1: I feel that when we try and defend the Jewish people,
- 0:26Speaker 1: it becomes controversial, and I don't know why. being here
- 0:30Speaker 1: of Jewish descent myself, I don't know why it is
- 0:33Speaker 1: controversial to defend the Jewish people. But I ask God
- 0:36Speaker 1: for protection for this, because I really got disturbed and
- 0:45Speaker 1: thanked him and thanked the hero on the Dubai flight
- 0:52Speaker 1: for thwarting a terrorist attack in the air And it
- 0:58Speaker 1: reminded me of Flight 93, that there was a Flight
- 1:02Speaker 1: 93 25 years ago. And when did this attempted terror
- 1:13Speaker 1: attack happen? When did October 7th happen? During the very
- 1:18Speaker 1: holy days of Sukkot. Now, I'm not as observant, so
- 1:22Speaker 1: I don't really know Observe it as heavy, but there's
- 1:32Speaker 1: no doubt that these attacks, especially October 7th, was designed
- 1:41Speaker 1: for terror during a Jewish holiday. And why can't the
- 1:47Speaker 1: Jewish people honor their holiday in peace? And furthermore, furthermore,
- 1:59Speaker 1: Why do those that attack Jewish people on the high holidays,
- 2:06Speaker 1: on special holidays, why do they get a pass from
- 2:09Speaker 1: the extreme left? Why? It's despicable to me. Because Jews, Christians,
- 2:24Speaker 1: we don't go and attack Muslims on America. We do not.
- 2:33Speaker 1: So why do radicals get a pass for attacking Jewish people?
- 2:41Speaker 1: It is infuriating. Thank God for this hero this past
- 2:46Speaker 1: week on Fly Dubai or whatever the airlines call it.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But it was about to happen again during Sukkot. And
- 2:58Speaker 1: Jewish people have enough trauma with what happened three years
- 3:02Speaker 1: ago on October 7th, 2023. And I've designated that in
- 3:07Speaker 1: my own life as another September 11th where it's not
- 3:12Speaker 1: right to go to anything entertaining on that day. So
- 3:18Speaker 1: the Yankees play game three on Wednesday night, October 7th.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And I told, you know, Sherry and I, I told her,
- 3:29Speaker 1: we're not going to go on the 7th. because it's
- 3:33Speaker 1: not right to go anywhere filled with joy on October 7th.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Just like it's not right to go anywhere filled with
- 3:43Speaker 1: the entertainment or joy on September 11th. And I have
- 3:51Speaker 1: a feeling, if I can go baseball for a second,
- 3:54Speaker 1: the Yanks look that good that they could come up 2-0,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but I'll take a split down in Tampa. I'll take
- 3:59Speaker 1: one and one. and come back to win Thursday night,
- 4:02Speaker 1: which is, by the way, the 60th anniversary of Don
- 4:05Speaker 1: Larson's perfect game. 70th anniversary.
- 4:09Speaker 2: 70th anniversary.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And we'll get to Lou Terminello with more sports convo
- 4:15Speaker 1: in a little bit. But, yeah, October 7th is game
- 4:18Speaker 1: three of the ALDS here in New York City. And
- 4:23Speaker 1: I'm not going to go. Because it's not right to
- 4:26Speaker 1: go to a joyous occasion on such a somber day.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Just like I don't believe it's right to point out
- 4:42Speaker 1: what's been happening in Gaza without acknowledging, well, guess what?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Hamas killed Jewish people, killed Israelis that day. So you
- 4:55Speaker 1: can go on about the You know, the sadness on
- 5:00Speaker 1: the Gaza Strip, yes, you can. But don't say it
- 5:04Speaker 1: without context that the Jewish people were attacked that day
- 5:09Speaker 1: on October 7, 2020. But it is true that these
- 5:19Speaker 1: attacks seem to be planned. And I've said this over
- 5:22Speaker 1: time and time again. That one episode I talked about
- 5:25Speaker 1: how they were planning this for a year. And the
- 5:28Speaker 1: Biden administration didn't do anything about it. Their intel here
- 5:31Speaker 1: in the United States, nothing about it. Hamas making trips
- 5:36Speaker 1: around the Middle East planning this and they didn't intervene.
- 5:42Speaker 1: They didn't step in. Horrible. It will go down in
- 5:49Speaker 1: history as a debate of what Netanyahu could have done differently.
- 5:52Speaker 1: That's for sure. But he was here in the U.N.,
- 5:57Speaker 1: this past week, and though he had Secret Service and
- 6:01Speaker 1: all that, he was able to do his speech. And
- 6:07Speaker 1: just as the Jewish people are honoring Sukkot, the final weekend,
- 6:14Speaker 1: the mayor of all people, sarcastically saying that, Mayor Mamdani
- 6:20Speaker 1: has announced a lawsuit or a possible lawsuit to sue
- 6:27Speaker 1: Columbia University to open their campus gates, which have been
- 6:31Speaker 1: locked for three years since the anti-Israel campus protests of 2023.
- 6:35Speaker 1: The Mamdani administration, according to the New York Post, warned
- 6:39Speaker 1: it will take prompt legal action if College Walk, a
- 6:43Speaker 1: once-bustling footpath on West 116 that allows pedestrians to cut
- 6:51Speaker 1: across the school's Morningside High campus, isn't reopened immediately. Mamdani said, Tuesday,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I just want to lay out very clearly that what
- 7:01Speaker 1: we stated on that is that unlike the past administration,
- 7:04Speaker 1: we do support the reopening of the walkway. And I
- 7:10Speaker 1: do feel like there's a tinge of anti-Semitism. Well, what
- 7:17Speaker 1: do you mean? It's just a walkway. You know what
- 7:19Speaker 1: that walkway was used for?
- 7:20Speaker 3: That walkway at Columbia was used to pitch tents in
- 7:26Speaker 3: protest of Israel, and vile, anti-Semitic things were said on
- 7:30Speaker 3: that campus.
- 7:32Speaker 1: And I believe Jewish students were harmed as well. And
- 7:38Speaker 1: I could go over what Trump said at the UNGA,
- 7:40Speaker 1: but it was kind of the same thing. Here was
- 7:44Speaker 1: what his remark of the week was during UNGA, and
- 7:48Speaker 1: it wasn't even at the UN. It was this.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I certainly hope he will be a great mayor. You
- 7:54Speaker 2: have to understand, I want what's good for New York.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I want what's good for the country. So if I
- 7:59Speaker 2: had a choice of having him be a bad mayor
- 8:01Speaker 2: or horrible mayor, I don't want that. I want him
- 8:04Speaker 2: to be a great mayor. And he's certainly got potential,
- 8:07Speaker 2: got great potential. Does he have great potential, President Trump?
- 8:11Speaker 2: I mean, he did another thing now, and he's done things.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Which I believe have led to that synagogue being attacked.
- 8:23Speaker 1: have led to Jews feeling very uncomfortable in New York City.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And I kind of get, the two of them want
- 8:30Speaker 1: to get along for the better of New York. But
- 8:33Speaker 1: when Mayor Omdani does things like this, threatening to sue
- 8:39Speaker 1: Columbia University for opening up, to open up their campus
- 8:44Speaker 1: again after the trauma that they had gone through, after
- 8:47Speaker 1: the tense that were, after the vileness that was on
- 8:50Speaker 1: that campus. Mayor Mamdani is not reading the room. And
- 8:54Speaker 1: for this to come out on Sukkot weekend, for this
- 9:03Speaker 1: possible lawsuit, an announcement of possible lawsuit, to come out
- 9:08Speaker 1: during the weekend, shouldn't he be standing with his Jewish
- 9:12Speaker 1: brothers and sisters, as he keeps saying, and not threatening
- 9:16Speaker 1: to sue? Which I think, if he opens up Columbia
- 9:19Speaker 1: University again, will make his will make Jewish students uncomfortable.
- 9:25Speaker 1: That's really where I look at it. So on a
- 9:30Speaker 1: weekend where thousands of Jewish New Yorkers are going to
- 9:35Speaker 1: be closing out the holiday of Sukkot, which, by the way,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I researched a little bit more about this study, and
- 9:45Speaker 1: it marks the booths, the elements that they had to
- 9:51Speaker 1: deal with during their 40 years in the wilderness. Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I learned this on the way to the prophecy. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: this is why they eat in the tent, they pray
- 10:02Speaker 1: in the tent. And though maybe those on the outside
- 10:08Speaker 1: don't understand it, I don't really fully get it either.
- 10:12Speaker 1: It's their tradition, Jewish tradition, and we personally would let
- 10:19Speaker 1: them celebrate that. Secondly, we must honor. And I feel
- 10:27Speaker 1: like Mamdani coming out with this news on Sukkot weekend
- 10:31Speaker 1: is not by accident, because he knows what happened at
- 10:36Speaker 1: Columbia University in 2023. He knows the anti-Semitism that was
- 10:41Speaker 1: on the campus in 2023. He can't be that dumb.
- 10:45Speaker 1: He didn't get elected mayor because he's dumb. He got
- 10:48Speaker 1: elected because he's and just smile away everything, and all
- 10:54Speaker 1: that other stuff, and jump in the pool, and be charming,
- 10:57Speaker 1: and even charm President Trump. So then President Trump says this,
- 11:05Speaker 1: but this is where Benjamin Netanyahu came in, and was
- 11:10Speaker 1: really the, and I hate to call it this way,
- 11:12Speaker 1: but the adult in the room in New York City. Mr.
- 11:17Speaker 4: Mamdani, since you were elected mayor of this city, Many
- 11:23Speaker 4: Jews no longer feel safe in New York. They talk
- 11:26Speaker 4: to me. They tell me. This isn't the city we remember.
- 11:31Speaker 4: It changed so quickly. Now it's no wonder. You place
- 11:36Speaker 4: criminals convicted of supporting Hamas. You count as friends people
- 11:40Speaker 4: like Hassan Piker who said America deserved 9-11. America deserved 9-11.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Some friends you have. You invite into your home a
- 11:52Speaker 4: Palestinian journalist who filled Hamas terrorists, beating and torturing Israeli hostages,
- 11:58Speaker 4: and later admitted that he refused to publish the videos
- 12:02Speaker 4: in order to protect, you guessed it, the terrorists. Your
- 12:07Speaker 4: wife liked the post praising the October 7th massacre. She
- 12:12Speaker 4: liked another post saying Tel Aviv shouldn't exist. You refused
- 12:17Speaker 4: to condemn any of that. You've falsely, repeatedly accused Israel
- 12:22Speaker 4: of genocide. Mr. Mamdani, you try to stop me from
- 12:27Speaker 4: coming here. You try to silence me. Well, you can't
- 12:33Speaker 4: silence me. You can't silence the truth. And here's the
- 12:37Speaker 4: simple truth. Here's the simple truth. Israel didn't commit genocide.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Israel prevented genocide. And that's exactly, that's exactly what Mr.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Mamdani's Hamas buddies would have done to us had we
- 13:06Speaker 4: not stopped them.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I want to stop it there. Now, I get where
- 13:12Speaker 1: he's coming from. Because Hamas does hide underneath civilians. And
- 13:19Speaker 1: that's the real problem. That's the real problem. And I'll
- 13:30Speaker 1: tell you, as soon as he got in that room,
- 13:32Speaker 1: there were a lot of people there. Despite all the walkouts,
- 13:35Speaker 1: there were a lot of people there. I think this
- 13:37Speaker 1: is at the point where he's about to say, shame
- 13:40Speaker 1: on you, Mayor. Let's take a look.
- 13:46Speaker 4: And the Jewish state. have real consequences. In New York,
- 13:51Speaker 4: Jews are threatened on the way to synagogue. Jews have
- 13:55Speaker 4: been stabbed in the streets. Jews are demonized. They're targeted
- 14:01Speaker 4: simply for being Jews. Jews have been murdered in Sydney, Manchester, Montreal, Boulder, Colorado.
- 14:10Speaker 4: They've been attacked in Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Washington, D.C.
- 14:15Speaker 4: The anti-Semites of the world Want to terrify our people.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I have news for them. The days when Jews were
- 14:24Speaker 4: defenseless victims marched to the slaughter. Those days are over.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I say this. Shame on you. Shame on you for
- 14:39Speaker 4: distorting the facts. Say what you want.
- 14:43Speaker 1: A pretty powerful statement there from Benjamin Netanyahu. And I'll
- 14:47Speaker 1: tell you I've had my issues with him, but on
- 14:50Speaker 1: Mom Donahue, he's right. On Mom Donahue, he's right. And
- 14:56Speaker 1: now this news of a potential lawsuit to allow a
- 15:00Speaker 1: walkway that was terrorizing, terrorizing.
- 15:04Speaker 4: And look, just.
- 15:10Speaker 1: A couple months before that, me and my mom walked
- 15:12Speaker 1: through that campus for a very special NICU reunion. And
- 15:19Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the campus got ransacked. They got ransacked.
- 15:26Speaker 1: There were people that were throwing bricks at historic buildings
- 15:29Speaker 1: at Columbia University just to make a point. These a-hole
- 15:35Speaker 1: protesters were ordering DoorDash while being anti-Semitic. And that's when
- 15:41Speaker 1: he wants to reopen the possibility, the threat, And this
- 15:49Speaker 1: past week, with a pilot about to commit terror in
- 15:54Speaker 1: the skies against Jewish people, can TSA roll back their
- 15:59Speaker 1: policy on allowing non-travelers to the gate? That's a policy
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'd like to see. But I do believe Colombia should
- 16:11Speaker 1: not be public, especially after the trauma of 2023-2024. They
- 16:14Speaker 1: should not be public. And for Mamdani to even think
- 16:20Speaker 1: about suing them for that. He knows what he's doing.
- 16:25Speaker 1: He's not done. And it's just another example of how
- 16:31Speaker 1: anxiety and fear and nervousness are being thrown at Jewish
- 16:42Speaker 1: people's way on their holiday, on the holiday, on the
- 16:47Speaker 1: High Holidays. Let Jewish people, Orthodox, informed, non-observant, just let
- 16:59Speaker 1: them honor their holidays in peace. You can't celebrate them.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But let them honor their holidays in peace. Because they
- 17:14Speaker 1: don't go around attacking others on their holiday. And it's
- 17:18Speaker 1: just not that when they're attacked, the attackers are let off.
- 17:25Speaker 1: It should not be. And you know better, Mayor O'Donnell,
- 17:29Speaker 1: than to talk about a lawsuit about reopening that walkway,
- 17:36Speaker 1: which led to horrors for the Jewish students on that
- 17:43Speaker 1: campus and across the country. Think about it. Think about it.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And just let Jewish people celebrate and honor their holiday
- 17:57Speaker 1: the way they're meant to. And yet, to Jewish New
- 18:09Speaker 1: Yorkers who will probably listen to this after this talk,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I love the TikTok I saw the other day which said,
- 18:15Speaker 1: the thing that makes the Jewish people strong is Is
- 18:21Speaker 1: the verse. Be not afraid. And I'm going to say
- 18:27Speaker 1: it here. Do not be afraid. And do not be anxious.
- 18:35Speaker 1: And that's my message. At one leg of that. This
- 18:40Speaker 1: is Sukkot.
