Ninety-nine infant remains have been uncovered at Tuam’s former mother and baby home, adding to the 77 previously found — bringing the total to 176. These latest bodies were discovered in coffins outside the memorial garden, part of a broader excavation seeking to uncover the full scale of burials linked to the site, which operated until 1961.
