Hello, and welcome to another week of Straw Chat, where this
0:31
week we'll be doing the Drum Island Arc.
0:34
All right, Lee, how are you? Doing It's a top awkward
0:38
finally. I've had this hat on for four
0:41
weeks now and Trump is finally coming.
0:43
I was just going to mention that I like your new shirt this week.
0:46
Oh yeah, I actually this is a one piece top.
0:50
Got a good old do not a boy on there.
0:52
Oh yeah, well, I've got, I've got exactly the same top on
0:55
because I'm a Trump. But yeah, should we get straight
0:59
into the Drum Island arc so we're left off?
1:02
We were. We're just leaving Little Gordon
1:05
after defeating was it candleman #3 crew back together and
1:12
Crocodile thinks the Sunny hat. Do they call them the Sunny Hat
1:16
crew or the Straw? Hat crew.
1:18
The Straw Hat crew. That's why we're called.
1:20
Straw Hat crew, I'm sure I had a stroke there or something.
1:24
And yeah, so Crocodile thinks because I called him Gator in
1:30
the discord as well, didn't I? Don't.
1:32
Know where that came from? I think it's because of the
1:34
banana Gators. You might have been watching
1:36
them episodes at the. Time Yeah, I probably.
1:40
That was weird, but yeah, Crocodile thinks stroke stroke
1:44
crew throw hard crew, yeah, they're dead and now they're on
1:48
the way to Drum Island. Oh the thing don't think that
1:53
they're going to Alabaster and then the then the Quadrome
1:55
island is uncharted, isn't it? Yeah, they're just sailing along
1:59
and I think they just see, well, actually they come across
2:02
another boat or another ship at first, which is Waffle and his
2:09
crew and yeah, have a bit of a fight with some other pirates.
2:13
Captain, what all jumps onto the straw?
2:17
Hardship. Go and marry and start eating it
2:20
because he's it. What the munch munch fruit was
2:22
it? Yeah, Munch punch fruit.
2:24
And and he's just eaten everything he sees and he's
2:26
like, I'm going to eat your board for you guys.
2:29
And yeah, Luffy punches him miles away and the rest of the
2:35
crew go, oh, no, Captain Wobble when you're going to save him.
2:38
He can't swim because he's here. The devil fruit.
2:40
So they take off and that's them defeated for now.
2:42
Yeah, actually, actually a question about that.
2:44
Right. So whople, whople when he eats
2:49
something, he can take on the characteristics of that thing,
2:53
can't he? Yes.
2:54
So he later on, he eats a house and he becomes a house.
2:59
Yeah, become a house. He's just ate a ship or a bit of
3:02
a ship. Could you not just become a
3:03
ship? Oh.
3:04
I don't know how that would work because he would be touching the
3:07
sea, so I don't think it would work.
3:09
He could. He could turn into a ship, but
3:11
he'd probably sink. Not very good ship then.
3:14
Or what do you sink? Because technically he would
3:17
still be buoyant and have enough mass to not sink.
3:21
So it's it's like rodent as cat, isn't it?
3:24
Yeah, yeah, don't know. I really want to know what
3:27
people think now. I might ask, I might ask in the
3:29
discord or something. Or should we wait till this
3:31
comes out and see if someone comments?
3:33
Yeah, we'll clip it. Because that was like the that
3:36
was like the the boogie thing where I said what would happen
3:39
if his hand went in the water. But I think he answered that
3:42
one. Yeah, I think he would be weak
3:44
because he's still touching the water, so even though it's not
3:47
connected to his body, he'd be knackered.
3:49
Yeah, I did have a follow up question about rain as well and
3:53
still. How does how does Scoopy have a
3:56
can you have a bath? Does the water have to be
3:59
connected to the sea? Or if it's separate from the
4:02
sea, is it no longer the sea and it's just a puddle?
4:05
Is it the same rivers? I mean the rivers are connected
4:08
to the sea on this so I would assume that like when they're
4:11
going up reverse mountain, if Luffy went in the water he
4:13
wouldn't be able to swim. So reverse mountain had the sea
4:18
going up the mountain flows differently.
4:20
So rivers go into seas the other way around normally.
4:23
So does it matter if it's not salt water?
4:27
Because then how would you drink I?
4:29
Don't know this is the question for order, although it's.
4:32
Planned. Look on Reddit, it'll have been
4:34
answered somewhere on there because this this, we can't be
4:38
the first people to ask this question another.
4:40
Question is right, I know this hasn't got anything to do with
4:44
Drum Island dog, but they've recycled water on that ship,
4:47
don't they? Is in the purify the water for
4:49
drinking right. So he's drinking seawater, isn't
4:52
he? Or by purifying it, taking the
4:55
soul out of it, does that make it not seawater and it's OK and.
5:00
Possibly my mind drifted off somewhere else there because I
5:03
was. I'm having horrible thoughts.
5:06
So if the purifying the water, if the rot sea, what else can
5:10
that use to purify and then drink?
5:13
You know where I'm going with this, Chris?
5:15
Yeah. What are they going to do?
5:18
They're going to be pissing in jugs.
5:19
Bear grills it. And purifying it?
5:21
Do they all just piss into the same pots and purify it so they
5:25
all drink in each other's piss? Knowing Sanji, he probably has a
5:28
special one where it's just Nami's piston.
5:31
He's like, this one's all for me.
5:32
That's just called a funnel. It's.
5:34
Just him and he's like toilet outfit going don't see us, don't
5:38
see us. Top props is coming in I can.
5:40
See Sanji doing that though. Yeah, but it's weird because
5:43
with Sanji, you get like, he's like women obsessed.
5:47
But even when he was on them Whiskey Peak, where he had all
5:50
these women who were like swooning over him, all he wish
5:53
he does is kiss them. Yeah, I think he's he's more for
5:56
the for the chase than the actual.
5:58
I've always wondered like which of the straw hats are virgins?
6:01
Luffy. Luffy probably seems too dumb
6:03
enough to know what's going on. Yeah, yeah.
6:07
Stanji, I mean, he gets really shy around women when they
6:11
actually start to like, come back for them.
6:14
He was working on in that restaurant with all of those
6:17
chefs and waiters. They must.
6:19
They were all pirates as well, really, weren't there?
6:21
There's no way they didn't go right.
6:23
Howard, Sanjay is 18 year old now.
6:26
He hasn't had a lass. Let's get him laid.
6:29
It's his birthday. Yeah.
6:31
They must have. Well, let's put some lipstick on
6:34
the elephant tuner. Zorro.
6:37
I just can't accept Zorro being a virgin.
6:41
But no, Zorro was too cool. Like he was a pirate hunter.
6:45
He'll have went into some unsavory places and got his end
6:50
away, I suppose. Yeah, 3 Dick style.
6:54
And yeah, Naomi was just like slotting myself around a bit to
7:00
try and like spy around and espionage kind of stuff early on
7:05
in the season. Wasn't sure.
7:07
Yeah. So yeah, yeah, I think that's
7:10
all so far, isn't it? So far, I don't really want to
7:14
talk about Tony. Tony each other?
7:15
No. That gets into weird territory.
7:18
Yeah. I'm getting images in my mind
7:22
now, though, and it's like I don't I don't think he would go
7:26
for a human, but then because that because that's outside of
7:29
his species, he would have to go for a reindeer.
7:33
I've got this image in my head of hang on Wolf chopper, the
7:37
standing upright behind another reindeer.
7:41
Oh, no. Oh, at least he can talk to them
7:43
though, I suppose. Chat them up.
7:46
So yeah, from Ireland. So yeah, they arrived at Drum
7:50
Island to a hostile crowd led by Dalton.
7:56
Dalton. These guys don't want any
7:58
pirates there because they've not long been attacked by
8:02
pirates. So this is important.
8:05
They were attacked by Blackbeard's crew.
8:08
Yeah. Now we haven't seen who
8:10
Blackbeard is, but his name is Blackbeard.
8:13
That that that means he's going to be important.
8:16
Like there's no way that someone called Blackbeard one of the
8:19
most famous real life pirates isn't going to be a big part of
8:24
One Piece. Right, so and I'm guessing
8:28
obviously Blackbeard is probably going to appear later in in
8:33
future episodes. Have you seen him?
8:35
Yeah. So does he have fuse wire in his
8:38
beard? No.
8:39
No, OK it. Definitely doesn't the first
8:42
time you see him and I don't think he does later on either.
8:47
OK, I'm sure the real Blackbeard used to like used to wear
8:51
eyeliner and put fuse in his beard, make him seem bigger and
8:55
scarier. So you would like to have it
8:56
would like that And his beard would be smoking so that his
8:59
enemies thought it was like some kind of demon or something.
9:03
Yeah. Which even one Piece Blackbeard
9:06
themes, he's got some weird things about him as well.
9:11
Like it could it could be some kind of demon kind of thing.
9:14
Not a demon, but he's got some weird shit going on about them
9:18
which you'll find out and. We'll find out is is it soon?
9:25
No, OK, you probably don't see Blackbeard for maybe he's
9:29
another well, we don't get proper Blackbeard until a few
9:32
100 episodes time or something when we like Start learning
9:36
about them. But he gets, he does get brought
9:38
up every now and then. Like you already know Ace was in
9:41
Alabaster looking for him. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
9:43
And he's been mentioned on Drum Island as well.
9:45
Yes. So this hostile crowd starts
9:49
shooting at the Straw Hats. VV tries to step in the way and
9:53
gets shot. Luffy is about just go to town
9:57
on these guys and BB. Stops them.
10:00
Well, forgot, we've got to say. The whole reason why they're in
10:03
a hurry to get the island is because.
10:06
Natalie was bit by a bug. Yeah, she's dying.
10:09
Yeah. So the need you're looking for a
10:11
doctor. Yeah, I need a doctor, and the
10:14
ask in the crowd, we just need a doctor, please come on.
10:17
BB kind of settles things down and Dalton agrees, saying OK,
10:22
you can come and land and we'll find you a doctor.
10:26
But all of the doctors on the island have been taken away by
10:30
former King Waffle, who led the island when Blackbeard arrived
10:36
because he would just stood no chance against him.
10:38
And he's took all the doctors with him, which he took all the
10:42
doctors before that as his own personal surgeons.
10:46
Yeah. Nobody else on the island is
10:47
allowed to use them. There were a few doctors running
10:50
around like Doctor Korea and Doctor, What's he called?
10:55
Who's Tony? Tony Choppers look.
10:58
I've got it on here as well, Korea and.
11:03
Doctor hero Look. Yes, here we look.
11:07
So the set off, Luffy and Sanji set off carrying Nami up the
11:15
mountain to Drum Island Castle, which is where Doctor Korea has
11:22
settled because she's decided the castle's hers.
11:24
Now that Waffles gone. They've got a bit of a journey
11:27
ahead of them. We've got to climb up like a
11:29
vertical Cliff to get to the top.
11:32
Yeah, they've got to fight. The bunnies.
11:34
Bunnies that was. I was trying to think what it
11:36
was that they had to fight on the way.
11:38
Stanji gets done in by some rabbits as well, and now Luffy's
11:41
got to carry two people to the top of the mountain.
11:43
Just just to put this out there, Zorro didn't get beaten up by
11:46
bunnies. No, Zorro decided to go for a
11:50
swim in ice cold water and do some training whilst they went
11:55
off. Yeah, and what's next is.
11:59
You find out the doctor is actually came to the village the
12:03
other way while they're going up the mountain to her castle.
12:08
Yes, so. It's kind of like.
12:10
She's like charging people extortionate amounts, isn't she?
12:13
150% of your business now, but the rest of your life, yeah.
12:16
To be fair for saving your child, it is a steep price, but
12:20
your child's not dead. Yeah, while the fighting the
12:23
rabbits is an avalanche isn't there, and Waffle arrives and
12:28
kicks the shit out of Dalton and some of the civilians.
12:32
Dalton gets buried in the avalanche, and everyone's trying
12:35
to save them. And who's up?
12:37
Besides, he's going to carry Dalton up to Castle, yeah.
12:41
This is a good movement from Lusop, to be fair, yeah.
12:44
He's try and bless him and he's like dragging him along and he's
12:48
like, I'm going to do it. And Zorro.
12:49
'S like beast of a man. Yeah, and Zorro, I just like him
12:53
both of doesn't he? I just like how because Zorro's
12:56
been doing his training regime where he's been going for an ice
12:58
swim, he's been like he gets lost in the forest and then he
13:02
eventually meets up with them, Phoebe and Moussop, and he's
13:07
walked into this where Dalton's been defeated by Walpole, but
13:11
bubble and he's buggled off to go his castle again.
13:15
And Zara's just like, who's Dalton?
13:17
But who is everyone? Who are you?
13:19
Who are you? What?
13:20
And no one explained. He's just like, that's Dalton,
13:24
OK? But yeah, so someone does just
13:27
catch up. The summer just picks them up
13:30
and starts heading up to the castle to follow Luffy and
13:32
sundry and Nami. What was heading up to the
13:34
castle? And I think we start this.
13:37
Is this when it starts to tell the story of Tony, Tony Chopper,
13:40
because he is looking after Nami in the castle now.
13:44
Because they have got back. Yeah.
13:46
And we get a Chopper's back story.
13:48
Right. So finally, I've asked you about
13:52
some of the other backstories and, like, sad moments.
13:55
And I've been like, oh, how did you feel about this?
13:58
Did you get sad? And you've been like, I wasn't
14:01
sad enough, or that's just the right amount of sad and happy,
14:04
blah blah blah. How did you feel about Chopper's
14:06
back story? Absolutely gutted because right
14:11
and Nami thief what whatever and Zorro is a badass.
14:15
So he like kind of got over it. He's got trouble pass whatever,
14:19
but poor Tony Tony chopper, he's just an innocent monster.
14:23
He's not a monster. He's a reindeer that can.
14:26
Did he eat the human human fruit or something?
14:29
Yes, the human, human fruit. Yeah, and it's just like it
14:32
wasn't, it wasn't his choice. He's born with a blue nose and
14:37
all of his family used to beat the share of him and shown him.
14:41
It's just sad. It's sad.
14:43
And then the only family get he get gets taken in is this doctor
14:50
and. The Doctor is like, he eats the
14:52
human, human fruit and he's like, well, yeah, the reindeer
14:56
won't accept this. I'll go and live with the humans
14:58
and then shoot him. Yeah.
15:01
And then Doctor Henry, look. Finds him.
15:02
Yeah, I thought that bit was funny ways to say because
15:06
obviously he's just been shot by humans so the first human he
15:10
sees he's just like, he's going to shoot this shoot this as
15:13
well. So Doctor Henry, look and the
15:15
snow just drops down completely bollock naked and he's like,
15:19
look, I'm unarmed. I'm not going to shoot.
15:22
You, but yes. Absolute kook.
15:25
He's nuts. Worst doctor ever.
15:27
I love him though. I think he's he's class.
15:30
I wouldn't like him as a doctor, but as an entertainment
15:33
character, I think he's class so.
15:35
We get like a montage from trying to treat people and he's
15:37
like getting chased up and he's like, I thought the new ties
15:39
would work. Yeah, he kind of.
15:42
So he kind of like inspires Tony, Tony Chopper, be a doctor
15:47
and heal people. And it's just so sad.
15:53
Yeah. Because he's the only, the only
15:55
person that he's got in his life.
15:57
And then he finds out that he's dying.
16:01
He's got an incurable disease. Disease.
16:03
Yeah, yeah. So and and so.
16:09
He's been. Reading Tony, Tony Chopper is
16:13
reading these books and he's like, oh, I recognize this
16:16
mushroom. It says it's a cure all or
16:18
something like that. It's not the mushroom, it's
16:20
because it's got the skull and crossbones next to it.
16:23
And Doctor Hiraluk has been like, I've got this pirate flag
16:27
because I want to be like the pirates and like, take on the
16:31
world but with medicine or something like that.
16:33
Yeah. With Tony, Tony John goes, oh,
16:36
school. And crossbones next to this
16:37
mushroom, That must mean it's special medicine poison.
16:41
So he goes through all of this trouble.
16:43
He fights these old reindeer family just to retrieve this
16:47
mushrooms. He comes in battered, bruised,
16:50
bloody, and he's just like, oh, doctor to look up.
16:54
He has this mushroom. It's said in your book that it
16:57
can it can cure you. And he's just like, that's
16:59
amazing, Chopper, Thank you so much.
17:02
That's exactly what it does. I want you to prepare this
17:05
portion for us to make us feel better.
17:08
So he starts drinking it. Yeah.
17:10
And that kind of triggers he's. So now he's he's in cure, he's
17:14
got an incurable disease and he's been poisoned.
17:17
So he's only got a short time left to live.
17:20
But it doesn't end there. It still gets worse for Doctor
17:24
Hiraluk. So at this point, the WHAP ball
17:29
is outlawed. All the doctors, is that right?
17:32
I've got my surgeons here. No one else can have healthcare
17:35
on the island. If you die in tough shit, you're
17:36
going to have to come to being big.
17:38
And obviously the two doctors, the old lady and Hiraluk are
17:42
just like, no, we're doing this to save lives.
17:45
We want to continue doing it. This is tyranny, blatty blah.
17:48
So here we look, goes up on a rope train and confronts Waffle
17:54
where he's got his army. There's him who's the the
17:58
hungry, hungry fruit or something.
18:00
And there's Dalton and he's other hench men.
18:05
And he's just like, this isn't right and shouldn't be doing
18:09
this. And I think we should.
18:11
We can heal the nation by doing all this and making a better
18:15
feature for themselves. And he touches, tugs out
18:18
Dalton's little hot strings. And he's to say, you know what
18:20
it is? He's right.
18:21
I shouldn't be shafting over the public.
18:23
I don't know why I stand for this.
18:26
And then he, he, he just explodes himself.
18:30
He just sets off a bomb. Yeah, and not not to.
18:33
Kill. Not to kill them, just to kill
18:36
himself to prove a point. And Trump is like running to his
18:39
like, best friend at the time. Like I'm going to make it there
18:42
and see him and he doesn't make it.
18:44
He blows up just before he gets there.
18:47
It's so sad. Yeah, yeah.
18:50
And also also if I forgot about when when the doctor finds out
18:55
him or look finds out he's got the incurable disease, he tries
18:57
to get rid of Chopper because he's like Oh no, if he sees us
19:00
dying that'll be too sad. So he tries to shoot him to
19:03
scare him away. Sickness.
19:05
Yeah. Been shot at enough times and
19:08
shunned enough times. Yeah, it's like it's like
19:10
kicking a puppy literally because he's just like he's
19:14
like, Oh yeah, if you love them, let them go kind of kind of job.
19:17
And it's just like you just you just add into the trauma here
19:21
and then so before, before this happened.
19:24
Sorry, here we look. Goes to his friend, not not
19:27
friend, but acquaintance who's the only other doctor on the
19:30
island, Kuraha, and basically says, look, I know you're not
19:37
exactly the nicest person in the world, but I've got this
19:40
protege. He's my son basically called
19:43
Tony Choppa. Choppa, Can you take him on as
19:46
an apprentice? You really want to learn
19:48
medicine. And it's my dying wish that you
19:50
do this kind of thing. And I'm going to go and Doctor
19:54
Kura kind of realises what he's doing.
19:57
So she's just like to go and stop him.
19:59
She goes to his house to find Tony, Tony Chopper.
20:03
And she's just like, he's just like, oh, well, I've cured him.
20:07
Look, he doesn't have an incurable disease anymore.
20:09
I gave him this mushroom here. And she's like, you absolute
20:13
idiot, you've killed him. This is poison.
20:16
This is the symbol for poison. And he's like, oh, yeah.
20:20
And that triggers him to go to the castle to try and stop him.
20:23
To be fair, I think, I think that's who looks own fault that
20:26
he got poisoned. Because if he's trying to teach
20:28
Chopper how to be a doctor and he hasn't even taught him what
20:31
the symbol for poison is, that's his own.
20:34
That's his own problem, the consequences.
20:38
Of toy. But I I think that he did that
20:40
because he knew he was dying anyway.
20:43
He knew it was time. He knew he was a shit doctor
20:45
himself. He just had heart, so he wanted
20:49
to so Chopper took the inspiration and wanted to heal
20:55
him of this incurable disease or illness and he took that as that
20:59
gesture as in him wanting to become so he didn't want to
21:02
spoil that. So if he said no, you idiot,
21:05
that's poison. Don't make his drink that you'll
21:08
kill us. I think I might be put him off.
21:10
Oh. It's just, it's so sad, man.
21:13
I know, I know. It's it's the worst at like I
21:18
didn't even Namis was like, that's a bit sad, but this is
21:21
just say, Oh man, it's one thing after another after another.
21:25
Oh, well, we finally get past all that then, and we get back
21:30
to the present day, and what all shows up at the castle and takes
21:36
on Luffy, Sanji and Chopper. Yeah, what all starts turning
21:41
into stuff like he turns into a house, doesn't he?
21:43
And he's got like cannons for arms or something.
21:46
He eats his crewmates and then opens the door up on his house
21:50
belly and they come out as like a little mini house or
21:52
something. But like they've been fused
21:55
together. Yeah.
21:56
And I think Chopper takes him on.
21:58
Sanji doesn't take anyone on because he's got like a broken
22:02
back or something. And he tries to join but then
22:05
career how like kicks him in the back just to make it a little
22:08
bit worse. And if he takes on what?
22:11
All by himself? Yeah.
22:14
How did you feel about seeing Chopper fight?
22:15
That's. Different.
22:17
Yeah, I didn't mind it. I quite like him fighting
22:20
because it's different. Yeah.
22:22
Even when you say Dalton fight, that's like a like an fighting
22:26
an animal, isn't it? Yeah.
22:28
So yeah, I quite liked it and these different transformations
22:31
as well. Yeah, loved it.
22:34
Adds an extra element to fight I think.
22:37
What transformations, What forms of trouble have we got?
22:39
We've got his normal form where he's the little, little
22:43
reindeer. He's got his buff form, he's got
22:46
his God points, which is where he goes into the big fluffy
22:50
ball. And then he's a clear on what
22:54
that one's called, where it's. It's like scouts, Yeah, where he
22:59
finds out his weakness. That's his smart 1, isn't it?
23:02
Because he's like analyzing and he's just using that as if you
23:05
find that. Yeah, I've got figures of some
23:10
of them. The little chopper buff Chopper.
23:15
Is there any more? Because he turns into a big ball
23:19
as well, doesn't he? Yeah, that's his A God .0 Then
23:22
he's got his reindeer point thing where he like charges
23:25
around at them. Like he turns into the big
23:27
reindeer jumping point I think is that one because he can jump
23:32
really high on that one. I'm not actually sure.
23:34
Does he announce them when he do so?
23:36
Because I'm sure some sometimes he's just like a like a
23:40
reindeer, but the blue nose and it's I thought that was kind of
23:44
like he's travelling transformation where he's walked
23:47
along. It's a bit easier for him in the
23:49
snow. So I didn't see that as I get
23:51
transformation. I thought it was just like.
23:52
AI think he can move faster in that form and then he like
23:55
charges them and butts under these like head or horns or
23:59
whatever and then he's got one where he can jump really high
24:02
and stuff. He has got a couple more but I
24:06
don't know when we see those. Is that not when he has the the
24:09
the balls and he has 8? Yeah, he does start using these
24:14
rumble balls. Rumble balls.
24:15
Yeah, that's it. But there is still some forms to
24:20
come. Right.
24:21
Is that like a spoiler or no? I wouldn't say really.
24:24
I mean like he learns new, everyone learns new techniques,
24:27
don't there So. Right.
24:29
Fair enough. Yeah.
24:30
I didn't know a technique like a transformation would be
24:33
something that you learned. I thought it would be like a
24:35
move that was learned. You know what I mean?
24:38
Yeah. It's not necessarily spoiler,
24:40
just. You can get different forms.
24:42
It's like Luffy like blown himself or big.
24:44
It's like, is that a different form or is it just something
24:46
that he does like? But I don't understand.
24:49
Whiskey peek. Yeah.
24:51
So I can't remember what the two people joined together recalled,
24:55
but Chopper takes them on, defeats them, and Luffy fights
25:01
what ball And what ball ends up she or he gets beat by Luffy and
25:06
then tries to run away to get into the Armory in the castle.
25:10
But he can't get in because he hasn't got a key because Nami
25:12
stole it. So he chases her, but he's too
25:15
big. So he eats himself.
25:17
Yeah, he eats himself and becomes a skinny waffle.
25:22
And then doesn't he start turning into a cannon again?
25:26
He starts trying to shoot Luffy on top of the castle, trying to
25:29
destroy the flag. But Luffy's protecting the flag
25:31
because he's like, this is a pirate flag.
25:33
You can't destroy someone's Jolly Roger And what it stands
25:36
for. And.
25:38
Yeah, yeah, it's what is it an oath to yourself or something to
25:41
fight for all that sort of stuff?
25:44
Yeah. It's like dreams of other
25:46
pirates. You can't destroy it.
25:47
Yeah. And then Luffy punches him off
25:50
into the sunset again. Yeah, brightly so.
25:53
Get in the sea. And then once what?
25:57
Sorry I. Was going to say, actually, does
25:58
he die? Wobble.
26:00
No. Yeah, hang on, who made a note
26:06
of this? Anywhere or not?
26:08
It's it's because I remember you talking in the previous
26:12
recording where you specifically said if you don't see them die
26:17
on screen, they might not be dead.
26:19
Kind of like that's why I asked about Arlong as well, because I
26:22
was like, is he dead because the building just collapsed and that
26:25
was about it. So I wasn't too sure.
26:29
Right. I was trying to remember like,
26:31
no, what bulb doesn't die? But he's not really.
26:34
He's not an important character anymore after this.
26:37
I think he's just like, I think you just see him like on an
26:40
island somewhere. And he's got a wife called
26:42
Kinder Ella. Right.
26:44
Kinder, Ella. Kinder child?
26:47
I don't know, but it's basically like a play on Cinderella, isn't
26:51
it? Right.
26:54
Well, in a way. So once all the dust settled and
26:59
the Straw Hats are about to set off again, they don't want to go
27:03
alone. They need a doctor.
27:06
Yeah. And Luffy is absolutely in love
27:08
with Chopper. I mean, at first, he was trying
27:10
to eat them. He was like, come back reindeer
27:12
meat. But now, meet meetings.
27:15
He's a really cool monster. And he wants Chopper to join the
27:18
crew. So does everyone else.
27:21
And they're waiting for him to join.
27:23
So he goes to ask Doctor Korea. Chopper and she tells him no and
27:30
starts trying to beat him up and chases him away again.
27:35
Why can't you just have a nice goodbye from one of his friends?
27:38
Yeah, I kind of like it how when Luffy didn't know he was a
27:45
doctor. Oh yeah, He gets on the ship and
27:48
then he's like, oh, the Doctor was like, wait, what?
27:50
We're looking for a doctor. So the gun, what's it called a
27:54
slave we're flying down the hill get to the boat and then they
27:59
realize that all of choppers Dr. gear is in the sleigh and Dr.
28:02
Career had had actually planned a chopper to leave with them and
28:07
it's a proper emotional goodbye. Korea has opened the Armory up
28:12
and had all the cannons set to shoot with pink blossoms, which
28:17
was Doctor Hiraluk's dream to spread to the pink blossoms all
28:21
across Drum Island and have them grow because it's apparently the
28:27
key to some miracle cure. Yeah, he, I think it was because
28:31
he kept telling, telling him a story about a pirate who had
28:35
some sort of incurable disease. And he went to an island and saw
28:40
all of these beautiful cherry blossoms falling.
28:43
And it took his mind off and made him, made him better and,
28:47
like, cured his mindset. So I'm sure he must have been
28:50
depressed. Obviously, someone with a
28:52
terminal illness will be. And then you just say, oh, look
28:55
at these. These trees are beautiful.
28:57
All these petals fall, and I don't feel so bad.
28:59
I want everyone else to feel like this.
29:02
Yeah. So he thought that would cure
29:05
the island if they had that experience that he had.
29:09
So his life's work was to make cherry blossoms bloom on the
29:12
island. Yeah, and Korea loads all the
29:15
cannons up with the cherry blossoms and they're all
29:17
shooting off as choppers about to leave.
29:20
And there's a lot of tearful goodbyes and the finally set
29:23
off, and now the finally on the way to Alabaster.
29:27
Yes. Finally, it's the Alabaster Arc.
29:31
And what's this episode 4 of this arc?
29:34
I mean of our podcast from the episode 4 of the Alabaster Saga
29:40
and finally going to get there in episode 5.
29:42
That's forticious changes, isn't it?
29:44
Yeah, but as the leaving, they get other and people in Drum
29:49
Kingdom are going, oh, hang on a second, we were supposed to tell
29:52
those guys that someone called Ace was looking for them and
29:55
it's like, dumb. Who's this?
29:58
Yeah. I didn't know and that that
30:02
would, that was genuinely a shock for me because I was just
30:04
like, I don't know who Ace was. Is it some sort of other pirate?
30:10
Yeah. Do you think it was going to be
30:12
someone, a villain that they were going to have to fight?
30:14
Yeah, basically I thought it might have been one of the the
30:18
the crocodiles men being like, Oh yeah, I'll meet them ahead
30:23
kind of thing. That is a challenge.
30:25
Or I thought it might have been a marine.
30:27
Yeah, yeah. I thought something similar, the
30:29
same. It was like, oh, this isn't
30:30
going to be a good person, but it turns out it's coolest
30:34
fucking character. Yeah.
30:36
I know, I know. I really like is got it that I
30:40
found out that spoiler got it because that would have crushed
30:44
me. I would be like, what's
30:45
happening? Yeah.
30:47
It'll still push you, you'll still die inside a little bit
30:51
because it's it's such a build up.
30:54
It's one of my favorite arcs. It's the one where it happens.
30:59
The good, the good deaths in animes are ones where you'll be
31:03
like driving to work the next day or something and you'll have
31:06
the radio off and you'll just be like staring.
31:09
But this just happened. So have you got any questions
31:12
about the Drum Kingdom arc? Because is this the first
31:16
introduction to the IT is to the to the devil fruit that turn you
31:21
into an animal because they mentioned it.
31:22
Don't laugh. I always forget the name of it.
31:25
Because Dalton turns into like a like a ox or whatever it is.
31:32
Is this going to become more and more common now?
31:34
Is this the? Is this the starting point?
31:37
Yeah. So this is you finally see in
31:40
Zowen type devil fruits. Zowen, that was it, yeah.
31:43
You may have seen one before, but this is the first like time
31:47
that you really see it. And yeah, zone type devil fruits
31:53
is where people turn into animals, beast kind of things.
31:56
Yeah, no moths. I was going to.
31:59
I was going to ask who Blackbeard was, but you've
32:02
covered that before. Yeah.
32:04
And what happens to Drum Ireland afterwards?
32:10
It doesn't like. I don't know if it ever says but
32:14
I would assume Dalton takes over and becomes the new leader of
32:18
the from Ireland Kingdom. Because what about renaming and
32:22
everything as well? Oh yeah, I think we didn't want
32:25
to give it a name first, like the.
32:28
I think it was on the way there they mentioned something about
32:30
an unnamed island. Yeah, yeah, because he's talking
32:33
to Dalton when they first go in the but oh, what is the name of
32:35
this island? And he's like, I don't know, it
32:37
doesn't have a name yet, but haven't named it.
32:40
But ah, right. Question, if you had wattles
32:43
power what would you eat to integrate into?
32:46
Your body 01 of the So do you know when you go into a take
32:53
away at the end of the night you know the big kebab legs that you
32:56
get all right turn on one of them so if I ate one of them I
33:00
would essentially have unlimited kebab wouldn't.
33:03
It possibly, but that would also be like a form of cannibals just
33:06
got your eyes. And spin it around.
33:08
I've always wanted to just put my top teeth on one of them when
33:10
it's going round so it just shaves it in my mouth.
33:14
I love kebab but the most disgusting concept ever.
33:19
I'm sure somebody did a test on one and left it on a counter and
33:22
like over a week it had moved like 6 inches or something
33:27
because of the bacteria. I don't eat it because it's
33:29
hygienic. Yeah, I think I would have a few
33:34
things I would want to eat. I would definitely have.
33:37
I would eat a telly like computers and Playstations,
33:40
whatever else I needed that would be hooked up that telly
33:43
and also an arm thing like you know what you can like hang the
33:48
TV's off the wall so that I could just like hang it off my
33:51
head and have it down in front of my face and just anywhere I
33:54
can go out and be like I fancy watching telly for a bit and
33:56
just like. Would you not eat order?
34:00
What? And just learn everything that
34:02
is going to happen about One Piece.
34:04
Yeah, so you'd know what the one Piece was.
34:06
I suppose well then I would also get all of these like workloads
34:11
that he would because I couldn't eat, order and then not finish
34:14
one piece for him. And that guy is like sick every
34:18
other month because he works himself like dead to the bone.
34:23
Yeah, be you can spit him back out, can't you?
34:24
Because he spit his henchman out.
34:26
I suppose eat him, learn all his secrets, and then let him go.
34:29
Yeah, yeah. Sorry, Order.
34:33
Yeah, we we do get a mention of the Will of D in this arc.
34:41
I remember when it gets mentioned.
34:43
Oh, what the mention the will of these?
34:45
Is it not what you called the old lady?
34:48
Have a look. No.
34:50
Korea. Korea, yes, doesn't.
34:52
Yeah, Doesn't she? Something like you, Yes, she
34:55
mentions the will of D You don't even know what it is, do you?
34:58
And then if he says what and she's like doesn't matter kind
35:02
of thing doesn't. So it's ramping up the hints,
35:04
isn't it? Yeah, I don't know what the will
35:07
of D is. It's just theories about it.
35:11
There's a lot of people with the initial D in the middle of the
35:14
name. Is it?
35:16
Is it the same in Japanese? Yeah, I think so.
35:19
It is because I was thinking, oh, does it stand for like demon
35:23
or something? But I'm like demon in Japanese
35:27
would start with D will it devil devil?
35:30
Fruit, there's a lot of theories going round of what it could be.
35:36
So people think like demon devil.
35:40
Some people think that it's just a :).
35:42
Like you know, when you put like the two dots and a capital D for
35:45
a :). Because there's a lot of like
35:48
stuff to do with like joy and happiness.
35:51
Honestly I can't see any more on that without spoiling it, but
35:57
there is something to do with like spreading joy.
36:01
Joy. It is because I have.
36:03
I'm not up to date. To me this feels like clutching
36:07
straws. Yeah, yeah, it's yeah.
36:11
Sorry. Go on, what we're going to say
36:12
there. I was just going to say it's the
36:14
same as when you were talking about told me about the theory
36:18
who Luffy's dad is. That's our mom is Yeah.
36:22
And I was to say no, no to me now what?
36:26
The minute I cannot see it, but I don't I haven't read into it
36:29
or looked into it. So.
36:31
I'm not saying Crocodile is Luffy's mom by the way, it's
36:34
just that there is theories that he is Luffy's mom.
36:37
It's fucking insane, but it could be possible.
36:41
Yeah, yeah. My own theory about the will of
36:43
D is that it is something to do with willpower, and that's why
36:50
it's called the will of D And I think some people, like the
36:54
people that have this D in the name, might have the power to
36:57
resist something. I can't say what it is that they
37:00
could resist because it's only just coming out in the manga,
37:03
these things happening. Oh.
37:07
So the the will of D is you have the same willpower as someone
37:13
called D. Yeah.
37:15
So let's just say like hypothetically someone got no,
37:21
let's say like, right, let's say Bill got possessed and then Bill
37:26
can't do anything about it because he hasn't got the
37:28
willpower to resist it. But if Monkey D Luffy has the
37:33
will of D, could he have the willpower to resist it because
37:37
of the will of D? That's my own little brain worm
37:42
at the moment. I don't know, but we'll get that
37:46
bridge for me coming up, right? I'm probably completely wrong,
37:50
because nobody's ever right with theories when it comes to One
37:53
Piece. I wish I would.
37:55
I do love a good theory though. Like even if the mental if the
37:59
kind of like the the rings, people like go around to like
38:03
justify it and like say, This is why it's true.
38:06
I love that that people have thought that much into it.
38:09
It's just a shame that I cannot read into it.
38:12
Like, I know you get a lot of these on Reddit, but I couldn't
38:15
read them at the minute because it'll be like, oh, what's the
38:18
theory about Arlong? But well, obviously it tells you
38:21
in three sagas time where such and such happens.
38:24
And I'm like, Oh, well, spoiled it for us.
38:26
Yeah. So I can't read up on anything.
38:28
You'll end up reading theories once you're up to date and your
38:32
mind will be blown by a lot of shit.
38:37
Oh, Dragon was mentioned I think.
38:40
Is that the first time to mention Dragon's name?
38:42
Yes it is, unless you have the subtitles on right.
38:45
Unless you watch it on BBC iPlayer in English with
38:48
subtitles on like I do. But yeah, Dragon's name was
38:50
mentioned so you'd finally know who Dragon is.
38:52
The guy with the air face marks. Yes, because you see him as
38:56
well, don't you? Yeah.
38:58
I remember seeing him but it was that fast I can't remember when.
39:02
Yeah, it's just, yeah, more little world building.
39:05
Like I keep saying, he is going to be important.
39:08
You will find out something important about very soon.
39:12
Question to you as well. When you first watched this, did
39:16
you get the little things like that or did you watch it and
39:19
think, Oh yeah, that was mentioned then I didn't know,
39:24
right, OK. One last thing that mentioned
39:27
was the Levelly. This was mentioned when it's
39:31
Princess Phoebe goes to the world's government meeting where
39:35
she gets punched in the face by Waffle.
39:36
Yes, yeah. So the Levelly is a meeting that
39:39
happens once every four years between all of the world leaders
39:44
and they go to what's it called, Mary, Mary Dewey or Mary Geiss
39:50
or I can't remember what it is, and basically the rule the world
39:56
from there, discuss things, but the level is quite an important
40:01
