Latest / The Paul Barron Crypto Show / The Rise of Bitcoin DeFi & RWA🟠Orobit CEO INTERVIEW
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Today, let's dive into bitcoin and DeFi how all of
- 0:02Speaker 1: this could work together. I think you guys are gonna
- 0:04Speaker 1: love it. My name is Paul Beryl. Welcome back in.
- 0:06Speaker 1: We're going to have one of our sponsors joining us
- 0:08Speaker 1: today and it's going to be breaking down kind of
- 0:10Speaker 1: the future of where bitcoin and DeFi could intersect. And
- 0:13Speaker 1: this is going to be Orbit. You guys may have
- 0:15Speaker 1: heard about this project out there. I wanted to bring
- 0:17Speaker 1: in their CEO and their co founder, Paul Dando. Welcome
- 0:21Speaker 1: into the show. Paul. How are you.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Hey, Paul, Thanks so much. Good. Thanks, it's good to
- 0:27Speaker 2: be a thanks.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Where are you guys, Yeah, where are you guys based where?
- 0:30Speaker 1: It looks like you're nighttime there?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we're Luxember again CI and I'm currently based here
- 0:37Speaker 3: in Cape Ton, South Africa.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Beautiful, beautiful, Good Jeff. Let's get into a little bit
- 0:43Speaker 1: about Orbit in general. Give us a breakdown for our
- 0:46Speaker 1: audience to kind of just understand what you guys are
- 0:49Speaker 1: trying to do.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, so, we're a team of really passionate
- 0:54Speaker 3: Bitcoin Maxi's a team that I'm really looking to build
- 0:58Speaker 3: on top of bitcoin, push bitcoin forward. If you take
- 1:01Speaker 3: a look at kind of what the landscape has been
- 1:04Speaker 3: emerging into over the last few years. You've you've had
- 1:06Speaker 3: a huge breakthrough in terms of institutional adoption, specifically of bitcoin.
- 1:11Speaker 3: It's kind of broken into the mainstream when it comes
- 1:14Speaker 3: to traditional finance and retail adoption and even just payments
- 1:19Speaker 3: day to day payments these days. But you're currently sitting
- 1:21Speaker 3: with around eight hundred million dollars worth a bitcoin that's
- 1:24Speaker 3: completely stagnant. You know, no one's spending their bitcoin, and
- 1:27Speaker 3: rightly so, they're using it as a store of value.
- 1:30Speaker 3: But we believe there's a lot of you know, untapped
- 1:33Speaker 3: utility that has a lot of potential there and essentially
- 1:36Speaker 3: stagnant bitcoin represents, you know, not only a threat to
- 1:39Speaker 3: bitcoin itself as you know, spending bitcoin and these fees
- 1:42Speaker 3: incentivize the network, but it represents a disconnect between you know,
- 1:46Speaker 3: those who are building bitcoin and those who are buying
- 1:48Speaker 3: it and not using it. So what our mission is
- 1:51Speaker 3: is to essentially unlock this utility and bring a layer
- 1:55Speaker 3: of tokenization and smart contract utility that will bridge that
- 1:58Speaker 3: gap and understanding in what solutions and traditional finance you know,
- 2:04Speaker 3: users are looking for and what bitcoin is today.
- 2:08Speaker 1: So real time secure payments, fraction of the costs, just
- 2:12Speaker 1: some of the things that you guys are featuring there
- 2:13Speaker 1: on your website. XRB, talk to me a little bit
- 2:16Speaker 1: about that its role in the whole ecosystem, what you're doing.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely so, SEL, which is our decentralized tokenization network,
- 2:26Speaker 3: is a gasless network. There aren't any gas fees on
- 2:30Speaker 3: our decentralized network, as all you need to do is
- 2:33Speaker 3: spend some bitcoin. But as you know, anyone that's starting
- 2:36Speaker 3: a layer on or decentralized network can attest to traction
- 2:40Speaker 3: and friction are really really two major blockers for adoption
- 2:44Speaker 3: and growth. So the x ORB token is more an
- 2:48Speaker 3: incentivization mechanism. We're using it to incentivize people to decentralize
- 2:52Speaker 3: the network, spin up validators, reward validators for the work
- 2:55Speaker 3: they're putting in the data, the storing.
- 2:58Speaker 2: And really bridge this in.
- 2:59Speaker 3: It's a bit of a different approach to where we're
- 3:01Speaker 3: punishing bad actors. We're more along the lines of incentivizing
- 3:04Speaker 3: people to come in and take part and join the network.
- 3:07Speaker 2: On top of this, we've got allocations for foundation.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And ecosystem growth, so we're allocating grants to exciting projects
- 3:14Speaker 3: that are looking to bring you know, their tech and
- 3:17Speaker 3: their projects onto bitcoin, tap into you know, the institutional
- 3:20Speaker 3: network that we're that we're bringing on chain, and you know,
- 3:24Speaker 3: really just baking them into you know, adopting the Orbit platform,
- 3:28Speaker 3: our products that we're developing, as well as you know,
- 3:30Speaker 3: the tokenization infrastructure that we're building on top of bitcoin,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and this.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Kind of ties into go ahead, go ahead, Yeah, I know.
- 3:40Speaker 3: So part of you know, what makes us special is
- 3:43Speaker 3: that we're able to scale with bitcoin. So part of
- 3:46Speaker 3: the idea and the ethos behind building on top of
- 3:48Speaker 3: bitcoin is that you're not competing with it. We're tapping into,
- 3:52Speaker 3: you know, an existing decentralized stable infrastructure that a has
- 3:56Speaker 3: on a base layer the best security in the world,
- 3:59Speaker 3: and I'm a scaled ability layer. When you start talking
- 4:01Speaker 3: about the lighting network, you're transacting faster and cheaper than
- 4:05Speaker 3: Visa and master Card can or any layer one.
- 4:08Speaker 2: For that matter.
- 4:09Speaker 1: All Right, So okay, so first of all, explain to
- 4:12Speaker 1: me a little bit about the difference between what you
- 4:14Speaker 1: guys are doing and other adjacent layers like a STAX
- 4:18Speaker 1: or something of that nature. How do you guys differentiate
- 4:22Speaker 1: from that.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, so when you talk about stacks and adjacent layers
- 4:28Speaker 3: and roll ups and layer tos. A lot of them
- 4:30Speaker 3: are developing their own blockchain, and while we are a
- 4:34Speaker 3: decentralized network, we feel, you know, it's a bit redundant
- 4:37Speaker 3: to have thousands of blockchains that are all trying to
- 4:40Speaker 3: achieve the same thing when Bitcoin itself is you know,
- 4:43Speaker 3: a completely stable, decentralized infrastructure that hasn't had any downtime
- 4:49Speaker 3: with the past decade and half and has sustained and
- 4:53Speaker 3: defended against multiple attack vectors. So where this really comes
- 4:57Speaker 3: in is that, you know, we don't we realize that
- 5:00Speaker 3: by utilizing bitcoin for finality and consensus, which are essentially
- 5:04Speaker 3: the two things that blockchains are best at, you can
- 5:08Speaker 3: forego a lot of the tradeoffs that a blockchain has
- 5:10Speaker 3: to make. Blockchains in essence need to be pretty slow,
- 5:14Speaker 3: and they need to be quite quite expensive in order
- 5:17Speaker 3: to protect themselves against a lot of attack vectors. Anyone
- 5:20Speaker 3: that's speeding up their blockchain or introducing, you know, or
- 5:24Speaker 3: fixing any of these problems, or introducing other attack vectors,
- 5:28Speaker 3: or making tradeoffs that ultimately affect security and finality. If
- 5:32Speaker 3: you think about, you know, your faster layer one blockchains
- 5:37Speaker 3: you're starting to dive really into heavy centralization or staking
- 5:42Speaker 3: methodologies which require you know, large centralization control of funds
- 5:47Speaker 3: on that native token. So in that specifically, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 3: you're looking at a side chain that have their own
- 5:54Speaker 3: native token that process their own blocks. You could take
- 5:57Speaker 3: a look at other competitors who building roll ups like
- 6:01Speaker 3: ce Tria, but we're more along the lines and in
- 6:04Speaker 3: competition with guys like tat food Assets and RGB. We
- 6:09Speaker 3: share our ethos of client site validation and off chain computation,
- 6:12Speaker 3: this idea that like you know, we don't need to
- 6:14Speaker 3: reinvent the wheel. We should be using the best the
- 6:18Speaker 3: best in terms of decentralization and existing infrastructure and utilizing
- 6:22Speaker 3: that to our advantage.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Okay, so we've seen wrap bitcoin continue to grow if
- 6:29Speaker 1: you look at just the market cap right here. Why
- 6:32Speaker 1: not Why is wrap bitcoin not good enough, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: in terms of how this ecosystem could benefit bitcoin, especially
- 6:39Speaker 1: utilizing tools like wrap bitcoin.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah, so rap bitcoin is an interesting concept, but anytime
- 6:48Speaker 3: you're wrapping a currency, you're wrapping a token, you're relying
- 6:50Speaker 3: on the issuing entity or whatever centralized infrastructure is facilitating
- 6:55Speaker 3: the actual wrapping or custody of that bitcoin, right. So
- 6:59Speaker 3: what we're building is a decentralized methodology for companies and
- 7:03Speaker 3: projects to bring their tokens and smart contracts onto bitcoin, not.
- 7:07Speaker 2: The other way around.
- 7:09Speaker 3: So we want to move away from another idea that
- 7:11Speaker 3: we need to be reliant on centralized institutions to scale
- 7:16Speaker 3: our layer ones, and we want to be reliant or
- 7:18Speaker 3: move away from being reliant on other entities custarding assets
- 7:22Speaker 3: so that we can scale bitcoin, so that we can
- 7:24Speaker 3: bring themse onto bitcoin, so that we can get people
- 7:27Speaker 3: spending their bitcoin and bringing a lot of utility to
- 7:30Speaker 3: ultimately you know what is the best and hardest money.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Well, I love the fact that you're saying spending your bitcoin,
- 7:37Speaker 1: because a lot of people would say, never spend your bitcoin.
- 7:40Speaker 1: You look at some of the you look at some
- 7:42Speaker 1: of the things that are happening out there on the
- 7:44Speaker 1: institutional side. This was news this morning on JP Morgan.
- 7:48Speaker 1: They're going a little bit deeper into the blockchain, obviously
- 7:50Speaker 1: with a partnership with Coinbases based network is using the
- 7:55Speaker 1: Lightning network an uphill battle now, I mean we've we've
- 7:58Speaker 1: talked to Lightning developers over the years, you know, I've
- 8:02Speaker 1: looked at a lot. I think of some of the
- 8:05Speaker 1: best out there. If you look at you know, where
- 8:07Speaker 1: lightning has come from to where they are today. Has
- 8:09Speaker 1: there been any major change that would say lightning is
- 8:14Speaker 1: the future here?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:17Speaker 3: So I think a big issue with lightning adoption and
- 8:20Speaker 3: development has always been the ux. It's always been very
- 8:23Speaker 3: disconnected and difficult for people to understand, you know, how
- 8:27Speaker 3: to get their bitcoing into lightning and how to start
- 8:30Speaker 3: closing and managing the channels. So I think a lot
- 8:33Speaker 3: of work has been done over the last few years
- 8:35Speaker 3: in terms of developing around that user experience. A big
- 8:40Speaker 3: part of that would be institutional adoption, where you know,
- 8:42Speaker 3: you've got large institutions facilitating channel provision or liquidity provision
- 8:47Speaker 3: and channel management on behalf of the users. So we're
- 8:50Speaker 3: actually building a lot of lightning infrastructure because orbit or
- 8:54Speaker 3: sel actually facilitates the funding of lightning network channels with
- 8:58Speaker 3: our tokens. And what we've come to see is that
- 9:01Speaker 3: there's a lot of work that needs to be done
- 9:03Speaker 3: or that has to be done on the kind of
- 9:05Speaker 3: the project and the product side of things when it
- 9:07Speaker 3: comes to introducing lightning to traditional users, but in terms
- 9:11Speaker 3: of future proofing technology. Lightning offers faster speeds than Base
- 9:16Speaker 3: does and cheaper fees surprisingly as well as probably the
- 9:20Speaker 3: most unmatched privacy in terms of transacting. So really the
- 9:24Speaker 3: key feature has been ux development over the past few
- 9:28Speaker 3: years and we're already seeing it. You know, you've got
- 9:30Speaker 3: roughly just shy of five thousand but in Lightning channels globally,
- 9:34Speaker 3: and that's being provided by the likes of coin base
- 9:36Speaker 3: themselves and Finance, and you've got around thirteen thousand modes
- 9:41Speaker 3: shy from an all time high fifteen thousand seventeen thousand.
- 9:45Speaker 2: So you know, the infrastructure.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Is there, and it is kind of the best and
- 9:49Speaker 3: best in terms of privacy and security when it comes
- 9:51Speaker 3: to transacting at a high pace, and I feel, we
- 9:55Speaker 3: really feel strongly that in the long term, you know,
- 9:58Speaker 3: it's the more future proof technology over over things like
- 10:00Speaker 3: roll ups on top of the Theoreum.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Okay, with that being said, what about liquidity, Because I
- 10:06Speaker 1: was looking at just some of the stable coins and
- 10:07Speaker 1: protocols right now with Bitcoin, Lightning is there, I mean,
- 10:11Speaker 1: because this is going to be that's pretty much the
- 10:12Speaker 1: lifeblood of any you know, any crypto project out there
- 10:15Speaker 1: obviously within the market is liquidity. How do you see
- 10:19Speaker 1: that changing within the Lightning network as well?
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah? Absolutely.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I Mean the big kind of springboard for any network
- 10:27Speaker 3: in terms of utility is you know, the incoming of
- 10:32Speaker 3: a stable coin or a lodge provider like Tether. However,
- 10:36Speaker 3: most stable coins and bitcoin these days have been wrapped
- 10:39Speaker 3: or pegged tokens and there just hasn't been enough utility
- 10:42Speaker 3: behind the projects or enough of a noise or adoption
- 10:45Speaker 3: to really bring any traction.
- 10:48Speaker 2: However, that's changing.
- 10:49Speaker 3: We were in Singapore now Token twenty forty nine and
- 10:52Speaker 3: a big story coming up was what bitcoin DeFi is
- 10:54Speaker 3: going to be doing to the industry. Tether have expressed
- 10:56Speaker 3: bringing USDT onto Lightning and onto Bitcoin and gener and
- 11:00Speaker 3: what we're going to see there is you know, people
- 11:03Speaker 3: being able to frontload Lightning channels with Bitcoin, especially from
- 11:06Speaker 3: an institutional perspective, and mirror this kind of liquidity provision
- 11:10Speaker 3: in terms of the tokenization on either side of channels
- 11:12Speaker 3: and having you know, untapped liquidity to be routing transactions
- 11:16Speaker 3: through the network and taking fees or really control controlling
- 11:20Speaker 3: how that flow works.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Do you think that bitcoin devs are going to be
- 11:25Speaker 1: enticed to build on you know, a DeFi infrastructure to
- 11:30Speaker 1: kind of get going on this. What are your what
- 11:32Speaker 1: are your thoughts there?
- 11:34Speaker 2: I think that's that's.
- 11:36Speaker 3: That's a conversation we can have for for an hour alone.
- 11:41Speaker 3: I mean, if anything, the recent debate between the Bitcoin
- 11:44Speaker 3: core team and the new implementation lots has been very
- 11:47Speaker 3: telling for this. The truth or the fact of the
- 11:50Speaker 3: matter is that meta protocols or Bitcoin DeFi is coming.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It is here.
- 11:55Speaker 3: So there are a lot of players in the space,
- 11:57Speaker 3: and from what we're seeing in terms of the reception
- 11:59Speaker 3: from the Bitcoin in Core team is that they see
- 12:02Speaker 3: it as an inevitability and an ultimate you know net
- 12:04Speaker 3: positive for bitcoin itself. So, you know, real bitcoin max
- 12:08Speaker 3: is who understand the tech, understand that adoption and use
- 12:12Speaker 3: is good.
- 12:12Speaker 2: For Bitcoin at the end of the day.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Soshi's original vision included operaturn, especially for the likes of
- 12:19Speaker 3: you know, hashed or signed transactional data that's happening on
- 12:23Speaker 3: separate networks. So in terms of you know, the end
- 12:27Speaker 3: golf Bitcoin, anyone who's been doing research and has been
- 12:32Speaker 3: paying attention in the space can see that, you know,
- 12:33Speaker 3: it's inevitable and it's going to be a good thing,
- 12:36Speaker 3: wrong term, So.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You feel like this could be a breakthrough then. I mean,
- 12:41Speaker 1: based on what you're telling me, this could literally be
- 12:43Speaker 1: a breakthrough at least within the core development teams around
- 12:46Speaker 1: bitcoin as a whole going in this direction. How far
- 12:51Speaker 1: along is it do you think?
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I personally believe it's going to be
- 12:56Speaker 3: the next big wave in Web three development and adoption.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Hole You've got, on the one hand, a passionate, passionate
- 13:03Speaker 3: community of people who believe in nothing else other than bitcoin,
- 13:06Speaker 3: and bringing more ways for them to use their bitcoin,
- 13:09Speaker 3: spend their bitcoin, and participate in the network is.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Going to be a huge driver.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And on the other hand, you've got you know, over
- 13:15Speaker 3: six and a half percent of the total bitcoin supply
- 13:19Speaker 3: in flowing into US ETFs alone this year. You're going
- 13:24Speaker 3: to see a lot of institutional attraction, especially when it
- 13:26Speaker 3: comes to you know, secure custody of digital assets as
- 13:31Speaker 3: a whole. Totalization of assets is around the corner. It's
- 13:34Speaker 3: been coming from quite some time. We haven't seen it
- 13:37Speaker 3: really loonto into its final form, and personally, bitcoin is
- 13:43Speaker 3: going to be the layer that kind of brings it.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Over the line.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Yeah, well, you look at that and some of the
- 13:48Speaker 1: other scenarios I think that play out within this is
- 13:51Speaker 1: And this was kind of interesting to me when I
- 13:53Speaker 1: looked at your quantum resistant wallet. First of all, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: think quantum in general still a little bit of an
- 14:00Speaker 1: an outlier in terms of possibility. Explain to me what
- 14:03Speaker 1: you guys are trying to do with this.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so we're using patented quantum resistant methodologies and techniques.
- 14:13Speaker 3: So although it's not built into the wallet at the moment,
- 14:15Speaker 3: it's coming in Q on twenty twenty six. And the
- 14:18Speaker 3: idea is that, obviously, from an institutional perspective, safeguarding custody
- 14:23Speaker 3: of not any bitcoin, but sel assets as a whole
- 14:26Speaker 3: is incredibly Quantum resistant technology is a topic and amongst
- 14:32Speaker 3: national security agencies and banks, and there's no reason that
- 14:35Speaker 3: you know, your larger financial institutions wouldn't be just as
- 14:38Speaker 3: interested in these kind of techniques safeguarding their assets. So
- 14:42Speaker 3: what we're trying to introduce is full quantum resistant protection
- 14:47Speaker 3: as much as possible from an end to end perspective
- 14:49Speaker 3: when it comes to interacting with the blockchain, people really
- 14:52Speaker 3: underestimate the importance of sourcing truly random entropy when it
- 14:58Speaker 3: comes to generating your private especially from self custody perspective,
- 15:02Speaker 3: and to be honest, you know, half going half effort
- 15:07Speaker 3: when it comes to self custodying your crypto assets or
- 15:10Speaker 3: your digital assets is almost worse than custoding with the
- 15:14Speaker 3: third party provider. So what we're trying to provide is
- 15:17Speaker 3: is you know, the technology, the know how, and the
- 15:18Speaker 3: ease of use when it comes to ensuring that that
- 15:21Speaker 3: users are safeguarding their assets, safeguarding their transactions and the
- 15:25Speaker 3: way they're interact with the blockchain in the most effective
- 15:28Speaker 3: and easy to understand where.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Well listen if that, if this becomes reality, I think
- 15:32Speaker 1: institutional grade capital is going to be looking for solutions
- 15:36Speaker 1: exactly to this point that would be quantum resistant. But
- 15:39Speaker 1: even more importantly is if you look at the attack
- 15:42Speaker 1: vectors now with AI playing into this, you've got a
- 15:46Speaker 1: lot of potential, you know, loopholes, it could be worked
- 15:49Speaker 1: in and around a lot of this major capital shifting
- 15:52Speaker 1: over to what we're seeing already coming from the institutional space.
- 15:55Speaker 1: So maybe the right timing. I'm looking at your roadmap here,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you've got the MACC listing what is this right here?
- 16:03Speaker 1: The web ID and AI assistant that's coming out in
- 16:06Speaker 1: stage two Q four this year is that out now
- 16:09Speaker 1: in production.
- 16:11Speaker 3: It should be launching by the end of the month.
- 16:12Speaker 3: The teams have been working really hard on it. It's
- 16:15Speaker 3: essentially a big part of you know, adoption and growth
- 16:18Speaker 3: for an ecosystem is onboarding projects and developers. So web
- 16:21Speaker 3: y d is essentially a web based environment for you
- 16:24Speaker 3: to be developing and building smart contracts and deploying them
- 16:27Speaker 3: straight onto Bitcoin. So it's essentially a platform that allows
- 16:31Speaker 3: people a really easy and intuitive way to build smart
- 16:34Speaker 3: contracts from the ground up.
- 16:36Speaker 2: And then in terms of an idea or an AI assistant.
- 16:40Speaker 3: AI tooling is so important and almost expected in products
- 16:44Speaker 3: these days.
- 16:45Speaker 2: So what we've.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Built is a really wonderful solution for you to use
- 16:49Speaker 3: our AI system to completely help you, guide, guide you,
- 16:53Speaker 3: and write sel smart contracts, whether you're a complete novice.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yeah, so the idea is that you could Yeah.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Just saying that that would be a big draw for
- 17:05Speaker 1: new developers, I think in being able to kind of
- 17:08Speaker 1: build out the case study of getting developers into a
- 17:11Speaker 1: platform like this. What has been the reception from the
- 17:14Speaker 1: tests that you'd have done so.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Far, Yeah, phenomenal.
- 17:19Speaker 3: You know, we've spoken to the team at Olgrand, I've
- 17:22Speaker 3: spoken to teams on many different networks and smaller chains,
- 17:26Speaker 3: especially those that write or come in and build their
- 17:29Speaker 3: own languages for smart contract tooling. And the biggest thing
- 17:33Speaker 3: for adoption and growth and ecosystem is that friction for
- 17:37Speaker 3: existing developers, especially on the Ethereum silana, to move over
- 17:40Speaker 3: to a new stack. So essentially what we're trying to
- 17:44Speaker 3: do here is completely remove that that friction and those
- 17:49Speaker 3: pain points that arise.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, other things rolling out strategic partnership announcements. Can you
- 17:56Speaker 1: share any of those now or are these getting ready
- 17:59Speaker 1: to roll out into this year?
- 18:02Speaker 3: I think I think we can make a you know,
- 18:03Speaker 3: exclusive first annoucement. Okay, we've invested in and partnered with stables.
- 18:10Speaker 3: They're they're going to be our exclusive feared on an
- 18:14Speaker 3: offer M partner for the whole Arebit ecosystem. We're going
- 18:17Speaker 3: to be you know, they're going to be supporting stable coins.
- 18:20Speaker 3: All stable coins are going to be supported by them.
- 18:23Speaker 3: They're going to be globally distributing, and we're going to
- 18:25Speaker 3: be working with them to globally distribute you know, bank
- 18:29Speaker 3: cards so that you'd essentially be able to load cards
- 18:33Speaker 3: and transact with SEL based stable coins and Again, a
- 18:37Speaker 3: huge part of what we're trying to drive is institutional
- 18:40Speaker 3: droption and tokenization of funds. So having this this dedicated
- 18:44Speaker 3: on an off MP partner that's you know, licensing over
- 18:46Speaker 3: one hundred and fifty two different countries will make that
- 18:50Speaker 3: that process incredibly seenless and really.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Kind of solve a narrative or show what we're trying
- 18:54Speaker 2: to do right from a from coin payments perspective.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think this is something that of course
- 19:00Speaker 1: we've already seen moves by Visa this week, will most
- 19:03Speaker 1: likely send MasterCard last week with Ripple, and what they're
- 19:06Speaker 1: doing over there. Likelihood is the entire financial system is
- 19:09Speaker 1: all moving in this direction, at least at a very
- 19:12Speaker 1: quick pace. You feel like the timing is right for
- 19:15Speaker 1: what you guys are doing at Orbit versus where institutional
- 19:18Speaker 1: capital and Wall Street in general is heading.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 19:24Speaker 3: I mean, if you just take a look at the
- 19:25Speaker 3: success of Square and the Bitcoin payments topping off, we
- 19:30Speaker 3: take a look at lightning lectric adoption alone here in
- 19:33Speaker 3: South Africa and South America, we think that on chain,
- 19:40Speaker 3: the move to on chain in terms of payments and
- 19:42Speaker 3: day to day finance is here, and we think that
- 19:46Speaker 3: you know, the likes of Ripple and other more centralized
- 19:50Speaker 3: approaches are going to going to obviously make a big
- 19:53Speaker 3: splash given the name, But in terms of staying power,
- 19:57Speaker 3: I think I said, I feel like a broken requid pit.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Quinn is the name, and I think we're going to
- 20:03Speaker 3: be the partner to drive that over well.
- 20:06Speaker 1: We're going to be watching very closely, Paul as things
- 20:08Speaker 1: start to develop for you guys, especially as your roadmap
- 20:11Speaker 1: starts to fill out. If you guys want to learn
- 20:12Speaker 1: a little bit more, hit over to orbit dot ai
- 20:15Speaker 1: and check out what they're up to. But thanks for
- 20:17Speaker 1: coming in on the show today.
