Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Prosecutors Describe Nicholas Tartaglione's Crimes In Gruesome Detail
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We're gonna talk more about Nicholas Tartaglioni today, and we're
- 0:04going to talk about how prosecutors say he killed the
- 0:09people that he's accused of killing. And then you could
- 0:14ask yourself once again, what this guy was doing in
- 0:17a cell with Jeffrey Epstein in the first place. Now,
- 0:21this wasn't his last cell mate, Jeffrey Epstein's last cell mate.
- 0:25I saw somebody on Twitter talking about stone Reyes as well,
- 0:29But Tartaglioni is a different story, Right, You could understand
- 0:35why stone Reyes would be in a cell with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:37At least I can a drug addict, not a violent guy,
- 0:40I get it right. Those are the kind of people
- 0:43that you put in a cell with someone like Jeffrey Epstein,
- 0:46someone like Mercy. You don't put a guy like Tartaglioni
- 0:52in a jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein. There is no
- 0:54damn good reason for it. Now, we can run around
- 1:01the track all day trying to figure out what the
- 1:03hell went on in that jail cell the first time
- 1:06when Jeffrey Epstein allegedly tried to kill himself, but the
- 1:10fact remains that there was no cameras. Still no police reports, nothing,
- 1:15nothing from that night. And Epstein himself said he was
- 1:20assaulted by Tartaglioni according to sources. So you would think
- 1:26that this would be more of a point of interest
- 1:30for the powers that be for people who are following
- 1:33this case. Now. I'm not gonna sit here and say
- 1:35tartagli only killed Jeffrey Epstein. That obviously is not the case.
- 1:40My question is what happened in that cell the first
- 1:44time around when they were sharing a cell together, and
- 1:48why is there no information about the incident nothing. Of course,
- 1:56they'll tell you that it's, you know, an ongoing investigation
- 1:59and you don't have the right to see that because
- 2:02a national security event or whatever crazy shit they'll come
- 2:05up with. Before you know it, they'll be telling you
- 2:07that aliens were involved. This was an alien carried out project.
- 2:11Little green men from Mars showed up and they were
- 2:15the ones who clipped Epstein. I mean, in this wild
- 2:19ass world, would it surprise you at this point if
- 2:21that was the narrative they pitched. And for those out
- 2:25there that love conspiracy theories, there's one for you. Little
- 2:28Green men came down and use some kind of transport
- 2:32beam to transport themselves into Epstein's cell and clip them.
- 2:37Have that for a conspiracy theory, Why don't you but
- 2:40all kidding aside, A guy like Nicholas Tartaglioni shouldn't have
- 2:44even been in the same wing as Jeffrey Epstein, unless,
- 2:47of course, you're in GP. When you're in general population, folks, lifers,
- 2:52people doing short time, everyone's mixed together right now. The
- 2:58only way that you can get out of that environment
- 3:00is if you piece up. You know, you're a child
- 3:04molester or you're a gang dropout, some shit like that,
- 3:08and you piecee up and you go to the protected yard.
- 3:15But Epstein and Tartaglioni, they should not have been together.
- 3:20When Epstein is a high priority, high value convict, somebody
- 3:25that should be in a solitary confinement environment at the
- 3:32very least until you know the trial and you can
- 3:35get him situated somewhere and figure out what sort of
- 3:37celly he should have. But this is the kind of
- 3:41dude that if he was to go into general population,
- 3:45what would happen is he'd walk into whatever jail he
- 3:48was at. Right the shot caller for his race, being
- 3:51a white guy, it would be insert crazy ass, weird
- 3:54skinhead gang here, a white supremacist gang here. They check him. Yo,
- 3:59let's see your paperwork, call me what's up? What are
- 4:02you in for? And if you're a Chomo child molester
- 4:06pedophile like Epstein, then you have three days to pc
- 4:09up or you're greenlit and you know it varies, might
- 4:12be a couple of different you know, timeframes or whatever,
- 4:15but usually three to seven days that's the time frame
- 4:19you're given to PC up and get off the yard
- 4:21because you're not rolling with their car. If you're there
- 4:24for for hurting children or shit like that, you are
- 4:27not rolling in any of their cars. You're gonna go
- 4:31to a protective yard, and you're gonna end up sitting
- 4:33at the Chomo table on the protective yard. But Tartaglioni
- 4:40and Jeffrey Epstein should never ever ever be next to
- 4:43each other. Now, of course you have Tartaglioni being an
- 4:48ex cop. He could also end up in pc right
- 4:52on the protected yard, and that's probably where he's gonna
- 4:54end up when he goes to prison when all of
- 4:56this is said and done, But when they're both waiting transit,
- 5:00when they're both awaiting, you know, to be sentenced. There's
- 5:03no reason for these two to be put together, no
- 5:07reason at all. And I would think that this would
- 5:10be a much bigger point of contention with people who
- 5:13are you know, interested in reform in prison and in jail,
- 5:17people like me, because let me tell you what, I
- 5:20am way interested in reform in jail. I am way
- 5:23interested in rehabilitation. I'm not interested in locking people away
- 5:27like animals and forgetting about them. That is just not
- 5:32a society that I'm willing to be part of or
- 5:35want to take part in. We need to rehabilitate people
- 5:38who can be rehabilitated. You mean to tell me somebody
- 5:41who's in there for a petty drug offense has no
- 5:44chance to make a comeback. Somebody in there for some
- 5:47you know, white collar crime has no chance to make
- 5:49a comeback. Of course they do. See, it's not about
- 5:53how fantastic you can handle yourself when things are going right.
- 5:57It's about when there's some adversity about how you come back.
- 6:01The way you pick yourself up off of the mat
- 6:04always easy to you know, a backup front runner. Not
- 6:08so easy when you hit the canvas for the first
- 6:11time and you have to pick yourself back up and
- 6:13keep going. So I'm all for people being rehabilitated, and
- 6:19there needs to be the infrastructure within our prison systems
- 6:26in America to offer that to the people who really
- 6:29want to change their lives and want to change. But
- 6:35it is quite obvious that the way things are going
- 6:40currently in the Department of Corrections the Department of Justice,
- 6:44that things are foul bar things are messed up, and
- 6:47things need to be fixed. But unless we hold people
- 6:51accountable that are in these positions of power within the
- 6:53Department of Corrections, within the Department of Justice, then it's
- 6:57just going to continually happen over and old again, and
- 7:00the cycle will repeat itself. If there's no punishment for
- 7:04the people who are in charge when this shit goes south,
- 7:07what kind of motivation is that gonna give to the
- 7:09next guy or girl that gets put into that position
- 7:12to do anything different. If all you're gonna do is
- 7:14get shuffled to a new prison when shit goes south
- 7:17as the warden, then what incentive is there for you
- 7:20to do a good job and to make things better?
- 7:23There is none, so that all has to be fixed.
- 7:27And look, I don't have all of the answers. I
- 7:29don't know shit about prison, really, like as far as
- 7:32you know how to administer a prison, or I don't
- 7:35know anything about it. But obviously the people who are
- 7:39being paid to to know about it and to facilitate
- 7:43and administer these prisons, obviously they don't know what the
- 7:46fuck they're doing either. So there's that at the very least,
- 7:53at the very least, the minimal effort should be made,
- 7:57but we don't even see that from these institutions. And
- 8:01it's pretty damn sad. And when you see a guy
- 8:04like Nicholas Tartaglioni being put in a cell with a
- 8:07guy like Jeffrey Epstein and then all of the other
- 8:12things that occur occur after, that sure makes you wonder,
- 8:16doesn't it. And it sure makes you think that the
- 8:20official narrative is full holes. All right? So today our
- 8:28article is from the Record online dot com and it's
- 8:32the Times Herald Record headline, prosecutors detail how they believe
- 8:37Tartaglioni killed his victims. This article was authored by Heather
- 8:42Yakin and it was originally published on September twenty fourth
- 8:47of two thousand and nineteen. White Plains. That's in Westchester,
- 8:54New York. After learning martin Luna to a Chester bar
- 8:58and restraining Luna and three other victims, Nicholas Tartaglioni beat Luna,
- 9:04put a plastic zip tie around his neck, and choked
- 9:06him to death, Prosecutors said in legal papers filed in
- 9:09White Plains Federal Court. Huh sounds familiar. Huh. How did
- 9:13Epstein go? Oh, he was choked? Wasn't he? I know,
- 9:16just another coincidence. Obviously Tartaglioni isn't the guy who clipped him.
- 9:20That's not what I'm getting at here. The point is
- 9:23what was Tartaglioni doing in that jail cell in the
- 9:26first place? A lot of questions. Was he there to
- 9:29send a message? Was he there to intimidate? What was
- 9:32he there for? The harrowing details were revealed in documents
- 9:38the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York,
- 9:41filed in response to pre trial motions submitted to the
- 9:45court by Tartaglioni's defense team. The statements represent the first
- 9:49time the government has revealed how they believe Tartaglioni, of
- 9:53the town of Crawford killed Luna. Now this is The
- 9:57crazy part of this story that is not really talked
- 9:59about too much is that Luna is or was an
- 10:04operator for the cartel. Now, I haven't really been able
- 10:08to find too much information about which cartel he was
- 10:13rolling with, but there are you know, the usual suspects,
- 10:17obviously Sineloa, you know CJNG, you know Golf Cartel. There's
- 10:26several different suspects. But from the little bit that I
- 10:30have been able to glean, it looks like he was
- 10:33connected to the Cinaloans in some regard. Now, you all
- 10:39know the deal down in Mexico when it comes to
- 10:42narco trafficking, and you know that they don't play games
- 10:45down there, and they're not certainly not playing no games
- 10:47with some gringo cop from America. So obviously Tartaglioni was
- 10:53brazen enough to clip this dude. So what that leads
- 10:57me to believe is Tartaglioni wasn't working on his own
- 11:01some sort of organization backing him. They were making a
- 11:04play and looking to move in on Luna and his
- 11:09production or moving of the product. Now, again I'm not
- 11:15too sure all of the details of you know, Luna's
- 11:18operation or what was going on. But we're talking about
- 11:21multiple keys here, right, So we're not talking about small
- 11:24time operation. When we start getting into keys, multiple keys,
- 11:27especially a kilo is two point two pounds of cocaine,
- 11:31you're talking about a lot of blow. We're talking about,
- 11:34you know, a roughly twenty thousand dollars street value, twenty
- 11:37four thousand dollars street value. It all depends, but we're
- 11:40talking about a lot of money here. And if Luna
- 11:44was working as an operator for say, the Cineloa cartel,
- 11:48and Tartaglioni moved in on him like this, you would
- 11:53think that Tartaglioni is for sure going to be greenlit
- 11:57once he hits the yard in prison. Now, I am
- 12:01not too sure how that's gonna work out for him,
- 12:04if he's gonna go state or if it'll end up
- 12:07being a federal crime. Probably state considering, but who knows
- 12:11what the government is gonna get up to. But if
- 12:13he ends up in state prison in New York, he'll
- 12:16definitely p se up. If he ends up in federal prison,
- 12:19he'll definitely pc up. But the Mexican mafia and the cartel,
- 12:25they definitely work hand in hand, And anybody who thinks
- 12:29or tells you that the Hispanics aren't running the prison systems.
- 12:33They're lying to you because the Hispanic car is running
- 12:37the prison systems pretty much in the whole entire country.
- 12:41La m is a very very very powerful organization and
- 12:45they work hand in hand with people like the cartel.
- 12:49So you know all of those gangs with the thirteen
- 12:51after their names, Yeah, all of those gangs check in
- 12:55with Lame. So we're talking about a lot of gang members,
- 12:59a lot of hitters, and a lot of people that
- 13:02if there's a green light put on you, that are
- 13:04gonna be looking to collect a scalp. So Tartaglioni knowing
- 13:11all of that, being a cop, obviously he understood all
- 13:14of that, still was brazen enough to clip this dude
- 13:18and three other people. So that leads me to believe
- 13:21that Tartaglioni was working with some sort of clandestine group
- 13:25that we are not aware of yet, the mafia perhaps
- 13:29perhaps another cartel that was looking to move in and
- 13:32take over this business. Because again, look, you're gonna need
- 13:36a supplier, right if if you're selling weight, if you're
- 13:38moving weight, you're gonna need a supplier. You're gonna need
- 13:41somebody that can provide that weight for you to move.
- 13:44You're not nickel and diamond from the local drug dealer.
- 13:48So was Tartaglioni moving in to become the supplier with
- 13:52the help of somebody else. See, there's a lot to
- 13:54this story that we still don't know. Prosecutor have sought
- 14:00the death penalty against Tartaglioni fifty one, a former briarcliff
- 14:04manor police officer, in the abductions and deaths of Luna
- 14:08and three other Middletown men, Miguel Luna, Urbano Santiago and
- 14:13Hector Gutierrez. Assistant US attorneys Maureen Comy, Oh we know
- 14:19that name, don't we and Jason Swergold wrote in their
- 14:22filing that the government will prove the case at trial
- 14:25based on testimony from witnesses, physical evidence, surveillance videos, phone records,
- 14:31text messages, and other documentary evidence. So it looks like
- 14:36they got the goods on old boy, right. And now again,
- 14:39ask yourself, after all we've just talked about here and
- 14:43us just being you know, novices, We don't work for
- 14:47the prison department or anything like that. Does it sound
- 14:49like a good idea? To put this guy in a
- 14:51cell with Jeffrey Epstein on what planet is that a
- 14:56good idea? On April twenty sixteen, prosecutors say Tartaglioni lured
- 15:04Luna to Liquid Lounge in Chester because he believed that
- 15:07Luna had stolen money meant to buy cocaine. The defendant
- 15:11planned to hold Luna at the Liquid Lounge, where he
- 15:14would attempt to force Luna to disclose the location of
- 15:17the stolen money and would kill Luna if he refused
- 15:20to return the money. The defendant enlisted others to assist
- 15:23him with this plan. Prosecutors wrote in the paper, again,
- 15:27this isn't something that was just concocted overnight by Tartaglioni, right,
- 15:32This is probably a plan that was laid out, and
- 15:35to me, it looks like there is or was a
- 15:38dispute about product, about who was going to provide product
- 15:42and who was going to middleman that product once it
- 15:45arrived on site. So this is how you get a
- 15:49lot of the violence in the War on drugs when
- 15:51you have people battling over turf oversupply and who is
- 15:55going to move that supply once it drops into their lap,
- 16:00and a lot of times you end up with big
- 16:03time violence, folks. When there's a power struggle or when
- 16:06there's a move to remove the middleman and become that
- 16:10middleman yourself. There's always a struggle to do that. I
- 16:13shouldn't say always, because sometimes you can just you know,
- 16:16make your move more powerful than the other guy or whatever,
- 16:19and you make your move. But for the most part,
- 16:21there's always a struggle there, and it looks like that's
- 16:24what was going on here in my opinion anyway. Because
- 16:29Luna was unaware of the true nature of the meeting,
- 16:31he brought three companions with him on April eleventh, twenty sixteen,
- 16:36his nephew Urbano Santiago, his nephew Miguel Luna, and his
- 16:41friend Hector Gutierrez. The defendant and his co conspirators did
- 16:45not expect the other three victims to accompany Luna to
- 16:47the Liquid Lounge. When the victims arrived at the Liquid Lounge,
- 16:51all four were physically restrained and not permitted to leave
- 16:55the premises. Sounds exactly like the way the cartel operates
- 16:58in Mexico. Huh, sounds like TARTAGLIONI sure how a blueprint
- 17:04he was working out of and again, I don't know
- 17:07who he was working with, but he has to get
- 17:09the product from somewhere. If he's slanging cocaine, you know
- 17:13that if he's moving weight, inevitably he's gonna come into
- 17:17contact with an associate of the cartel. If you're moving weight,
- 17:20that's just the way it goes. Cocaine, especially, There's just
- 17:25no way around it. If you're doing cocaine, or you're
- 17:27selling cocaine, or that shit came through Mexico, Folks, one
- 17:32carteller or the other safeguarded that all the way through
- 17:35the border, got it to America into the hands of
- 17:39your dope dealer, and then write up your old nose.
- 17:43The fact remains some cartel in Mexico was handling that blow.
- 17:48At some point, Prosecutors say, Tartaglioni repeatedly struck Martin Luna,
- 17:55then eventually put a plastic zip tie around Luna's neck
- 17:58and pulled it tight, choke Luna and ultimately killing him again.
- 18:03This is the guy you want to put in a
- 18:04cell with, Jeffrey Epstein. This is the guy that you're
- 18:07gonna put in there with such a high profile inmate.
- 18:11Who made that decision and why isn't that man or
- 18:15woman fired from their job. You mean to tell me
- 18:18that person isn't held responsible for that boneheaded decision? How
- 18:23come you and I have to be responsible at our
- 18:25jobs for our behavior. How Come I have to be
- 18:28responsible for everything I say on this podcast, But these
- 18:31dudes don't have to be responsible for something like that.
- 18:36It's a joke, an absolute travesty, and there's no accountability
- 18:40whatsoever any time something like this goes wrong. Tartaglioni took
- 18:48Luna's body to his property on Old Mountain Road near Otisville,
- 18:52and his co conspirators brought the other three men, still
- 18:55alive and bound to the property. Prosecutors wrote, Now imagine
- 18:58the other three dudes how they feel. They just see
- 19:00their boy get choked to death with the zip tie.
- 19:03They're all restrained, they're all held at gunpoint. Now they're
- 19:06being transferred to some farm somewhere. Especially dudes that are
- 19:11from Mexico, they understand what's happening right now. This is
- 19:15a typical cartel tactic. Cartel swoop up, snatch a bunch
- 19:20of people that are operators for another organization, torture one,
- 19:25have the others watch torture the next have the others watch.
- 19:31Oh did I mention though, that the cartel's film all
- 19:33of this so that they can brag about it and
- 19:35put it on the internet to intimidate their ops, because
- 19:41that's what the cartel does. Stretch seems like TARTAGLIONI was
- 19:47taking a page out of their book here, right, except obviously,
- 19:49I don't think anyway that there was any videotaping going on.
- 19:55Upon arriving at Otisville property, the three remaining victims were
- 19:59each shot in the back of the head and killed,
- 20:02The prosecutors wrote. The defendant personally shot one of the
- 20:05three victims himself. So again, what sort of cold calculated
- 20:12scumbag do you have to be to engage in this
- 20:15sort of behavior. First of all, kill somebody with a
- 20:17zip tie. You know how brutal that must be. It's
- 20:19like a garrot. Think about that for a minute. The
- 20:22force that must be needed with one of those zip
- 20:24ties to choke the life out of somebody. That's a
- 20:27fucking brutal way to go. And this is the guy
- 20:30you're gonna put into Jeffrey Epstein's cell. Then all of
- 20:32a sudden, you put this guy in the cell of Epstein.
- 20:35Now Epstein's assaulted, he says, but oh, we might have
- 20:38tried to commit suicide, and everybody's just gonna default and think, ah,
- 20:41Epstein tried to kill himself. Don't make no sense to me,
- 20:45that line of thought. Don't make no sense to me whatsoever. Folks.
- 20:50This is a violent a violent man who had no
- 20:54business ever being in a cell with Jeffrey Epstein. The
- 20:59four men were buried in a mass grave on the property.
- 21:02Their families reported them missing, and police in Chester soon
- 21:05found the vehicle. They drove to Chester part near a diner.
- 21:09Federal prosecutors, the FBI, and state police joined the investigation.
- 21:14They arrested Tartaglioni on December nineteenth, twenty and sixteen, and
- 21:18recovered the bodies the next day. So that dude had
- 21:22himself a nice little Christmas huh, And then languishing in
- 21:25jail from twenty and sixteen all the way through twenty
- 21:29and nineteen. Why was he even still at MCC Why
- 21:33hasn't this dude's child been over and done with and
- 21:35convicted and gone, Oh, that's right, that had the pause
- 21:38the trial over the Epstein stuff, didn't they? You know? Folks,
- 21:42there's a whole lot here to unpack. The whole Tartaglione
- 21:46situation has smelled completely off and weird to me from
- 21:53the jump. Now again, I'm not saying Tartaglioni killed Epstein,
- 21:58that's ridiculous. My statement is why was he put in
- 22:03there in the first place. That's the question, and there's
- 22:06no logical answer for it. The papers filed by prosecutors
- 22:12also include a transcript of conversations between Tartaglioni and state
- 22:16police investigators who picked him up near his home on
- 22:20Long Lane in the town of Crawford. They had stopped
- 22:22his wife in the jeep she was driving, using her
- 22:25ruse to get Tartaglioni to them. They told her they
- 22:28were investigating a road rage case and asked her to
- 22:31call her husband to come meet them on the roadway.
- 22:34Imagine that, huh, cops going after cops. That's a nice change.
- 22:41According to the documents, Tartaglioni initially told the investigators, I'm
- 22:45a cop. He agreed to the troopers. He agreed to
- 22:48go to the trooper barracks to discuss the road rage.
- 22:52Investigators activated a recorder in their vehicle before Tartaglioni entered.
- 22:57So I guess he's such a scumbag that he was
- 23:02road raging so often that they could just use that
- 23:05as an excuse to have him come down. I mean,
- 23:07who road rages these days? What the hell is wrong
- 23:10with you? Dude? Calm down, take it easy. Immediately after
- 23:16investigator Hammer entered the car and without prompting, the defendants
- 23:19spontaneously stated, this isn't about road rage. This is about
- 23:23the missing Mexicans, isn't it. Prosecutors wrote in their papers.
- 23:28They told him they needed his help finding the missing men,
- 23:31and they spoke to him on the drive about his
- 23:32interactions with the men. Prosecutors wrote, and you would think
- 23:36Tartaglioni would know better being a cop himself than to
- 23:39run his fat yeap. But here we are a lot
- 23:41of these people with these narcissism problems. They just can't
- 23:45help themselves. According to the transcript, Tartaglioni told police he
- 23:51knew Martin Luna and one of the other men because
- 23:53they worked for him on the old Mountain Road property,
- 23:56helping to put up horses, horse fences, and other jobs
- 23:59for a dog lug and horse animal rescue, Tartaglioni and
- 24:02his wife ran. He said he had sold Luna in
- 24:05old Mercedes SUV, but Luna hadn't paid and returned the suv,
- 24:10and he suspected Luna was involved in drugs and the cartel. Oh,
- 24:14he suspected. Huh, you knew exactly what Luna was involved in, Tartaglioni,
- 24:19or as they used to call you in the neighborhood,
- 24:22Tat tat. You knew what you were up to. You
- 24:29knew that this dude was in the cartel, and you
- 24:32knew that you were making a move. Tartaglioni said he
- 24:39hadn't seen the men since March, but knew from the
- 24:42news that four men were missing. He said he'd heard
- 24:45the two of them were in Mexico, and he suggested
- 24:47that the men of the men might have taken off
- 24:50for Colombia. I don't know. That doesn't make any sense Colombia.
- 24:54Why would Mexican nationals take off to Colombia. They would
- 24:57go back to Mexico, to their people, back to their cartel,
- 25:00back to their enclave. They wouldn't take off to Mexico.
- 25:05At the barracks, police read tartaglionia rights and questioned him
- 25:08for about forty seven minutes, at which point he invoked
- 25:11the right to a lawyer. Prosecutors wrote, the investigators protested
- 25:16him for arrest and took him to White Plains Federal
- 25:19Court for presentment on the murder charges. So that's the guy, folks,
- 25:25that they put in his cell with Jeffrey Epstein, and
- 25:27they knew who he was. Twenty sixteen, this all occurred.
- 25:31So again I'm not sitting here saying TARTAGLIONI killed Epstein.
- 25:34That's ridiculous. We know that didn't occur. But did he
- 25:37assault him that first time? Was he there to pass
- 25:40on a message? What in the hell was somebody facing
- 25:44a four time murder rap doing in his cell with
- 25:49dorky ass, bitch ass Jeffrey Epstein? That is the question.
