- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Coach, CK, Simon, out and.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Merrick Braven cow crabs.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to meet today?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: Is Merrick Brave the dolphins?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: First game of the season.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: First game of the Jeff Hathley and Malik will list 10 years.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: They lose 27 to 13.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and, you know, the schedule doesn't get any easier from here.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I think a lot of us dolphins fans, we were heading into week one.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: We saw the Las Vegas Raiders on the other side of the field there and we said, okay, that team had the number one overall pick in this year's draft because they were the worst team in the NFL last year.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: I think if we are going to get a win this season, it's got a certain week one against the Raiders.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: And unfortunately, that didn't happen.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it was a rocky, it was a rocky game, and the, the John Erick Sullivan Jeff Hathley era is off to a rocky start, you know, there was some good, there, there certainly was some good.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about Caleb Douglass and that, uh, there was a lot of bad though, too.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: You, you can look at another rookie, Chris Johnson, uh, kind of got his butt look today.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, hopefully he doesn't lose confidence, but hey,
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: We're Dolphins fans.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: We can handle this.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: We've been through worse and we'll get through this season as well and the future will look bright beyond that.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: But we've got 16 more games to watch of this team this year and if this, if today's game against the Raiders was any indication of what type of season is in store for us as Dolphins fans, it's going to be a long one.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like the Dolphins play up against the San Francisco 49ers next week who pretty much shut down the Rams week one and Australia and the Dolphins will be playing them at home in San Francisco.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think the biggest thing was how Malik will this look.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: He looked good early on and then as a scoreboard pretty much got away from them.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: He just looked worse and worse.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: and where so it was very reminiscent of the 2024, 2025, Dolphins era.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he was pressured 17 times over just under half of the time he went to drop back.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: He was pressured.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Quity Pay was Miami's single biggest problem.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: He was involved in three of the five sacks.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Max Crossby got a sack.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it matters the most, right?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: When Malik Wallace was kept clean and he was rolling out and running, he had almost nine yards per plate.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: But when he was pressured, he had four and a half yards per plate, a negative four point four four one four EPA.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: And the pressure pretty much doubled his inefficiency.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, third down was not fun.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: First down was not fun.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: But I think the best thing the dolphins did was second down execution.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like they were able to get into third and manageable's merit.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: But they just couldn't get anything done on third down because that's where most of the pressure came through.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's disappointing, you're going to have to break it down and watch film where we're giving this reaction as soon as the game ended here, right?
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: So it's hard to say, you know, how poorly the offensive line played, I'm going to attribute a lot of that off of, you know, just watching the TV copy to Bobby Slowik and his play calling in the second half.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was, I thought the first half, the team played,
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: Relatively well, right?
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: They were they were they were decently balanced, but like you said is some without the play action passing without the rollouts from a leak Willis in the second half.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: He was just dropping back Receivers weren't able to get open down field.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: He was facing pressure and that was not a recipe for success for this offense and I really hope
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Hathley has a talk with Bobby Slook about all of that and says, Hey, we got to play our game no matter what the scoreboard says, you can't go chase in points when you got two whole quarters left to play, and I really think the game got away from them in the second half, particularly Bobby Slook offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it seems like Bobby slowed pretty much reverted back to his 20, 24.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: He used to play calling days, trying to play for the school word.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they were trying to play for the results to see how Malik will this would react under pressure.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: It was not good.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And that was pretty much his inexperienced.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there were times where he was sitting in the pocket and we're like, yo, you know, you know, you can run.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't a two-ass situation, where he has to operate off the pot out of the pocket.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think,
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: The emphasis of him playing in the pocket in training camp might have had an adverse effect because he was sitting in the pocket in this game and he wasn't using his legs wasn't getting those rushes.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like if he did that it would have kept the Raiders defense a little bit more honest.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: But on the positive side of things, man.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Douglas looked really good.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what I want to say five catches.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: I have him on my My receptions for 94 yards the single best receiving performance by a Dolphins rookie receiver in team history So that I'm credit credit to you for that one by the way I'm standing your stat on that but hey
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's good, that's good, that's part of the good, right?
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what this season is going to be all about is finding silver linings in poor performances, right?
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Haffley said it himself.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: This this this season is not going to be measured by wins and losses.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be measured by growth.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: And when Caleb Douglas was selected in the third round of this year's draft,
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Dolphins the Dolphins fan base went nuts overdrafted overdraft not even just our fan base the national media the draft Pondence they all said Caleb Douglas was way overdrafted you could have had him later Well, he came out and had the best debut for a Dolphins Ricky Y. receiver in team history.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: So was he overdrafted?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but I don't care.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: All that matters is the results on Sunday and Caleb Douglas had himself a good game in and otherwise lackluster performance by this Miami Dolphin Steam.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, seven targets, five catches, 94 yards, almost a 71.4% success rate led the team pretty much in receiving.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Now on the opposite end of the spectrum on the defense, Chris Johnson Jr was pretty much picked on by Kirk Cousins and I think he had
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it was one of those games, which is very first game, has welcomed to the NFL moment, like he got picked on on those two touchdown passes.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: Both of them were in mancarverages while he was singled out on that.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: The second one was against Ashton, Ginti, he was playing as the nickel.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: Ginti, coming off of the Texas route, look like he was playing a little bit soft,
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then he was shook by Gen T on just the stutter step and gave him that inside leverage for that touchdown.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: He was active all over the ball.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: He was there making the tackles, but he was not playing as tight as be saw him compared to San Diego state.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: And it could potentially be rookie jitters as well.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: And historically, a cornerback is one of the hardest positions to transition to the NFL when you play that position, right?
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Rookie cornerbacks struggle in this league.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I kind of had an inkling that that would be the case with Chris Johnson, San Diego State, it's not exactly, you know, top-tier competition there.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_01]: But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's one game.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's one game, right?
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess we have to kind of go back to questioning Jeff Hathley on this one as well, right?
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: We question him asking Malik Willis to play from the pocket during training camp.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Johnson is also being asked to play outside and play inside.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, not only is he playing a position cornerback that historically struggles when transitioning to the NFL, but he's being asked to play outside corner and also slot corner
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's not able to focus on one spot.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: His attention, his reps are being split in between places.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's going to make his transition even more difficult than it would for any other rookie cornerback coming into the national football league.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: So that's another area where we kind of look at Jeff Haffley.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest, Jeff Haffley is a rookie head coach in the NFL as well.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: So there are lessons to be learned all around.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Um, on the roster with the players and with the coaching staff as well and and what's done is done.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: You can't take it back now.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: So Uh, like we mentioned earlier, season won't be measured by wins and losses.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be measured by how they grow.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not just the players.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's the the head coach as well.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see what happens with Chris Johnson moving forward.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: You do worry a game like this could hurt his confidence.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, which could hurt, you know, his his potential moving forward.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope that doesn't happen.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_01]: Um,
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: but yet no question he needs to play better moving forward starting next week against the San Francisco 49ers receiver unit that has Mike Evans and D. B. Samuel and you know Christian McCaffrey is going to be catching a lot of passes as well so if you struggle against Ashton Gentie here comes CMC to give you nightmares Chris.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we're going to head to break and we'll talk a little bit more about the Dolphins loss up against the Las Vegas Raiders.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Football season is here in Thursday, Saturday, Sundays, Mondays, just got way more interesting.

- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: And we're back.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I really wish Coach was on this podcast because
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about this run game, right?
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: It was not like Mike McDaniel's run game.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: We saw some motions, we saw some concepts in it.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: And the very first play of the game, I texted Coach, I'm like, oh, they ran a counter.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if this run game is going to be a bit more power-oriented.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: The run game never really got off because the dolphins were pretty much playing from behind, they just couldn't do anything, man.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: My opinion offense.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: Just on the stable core outside zones.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: They were bad, man.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: They couldn't get anything done on the outside.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: pushing a attack as a whole.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about it earlier.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: They got away from what is supposed to be their bread and butter this season, right?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: Like Devon HN is your best player.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's no question.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's certainly your best offensive player and I would argue he's far in a way the best player on this entire roster.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: But if you take away Malik Willis's six carries in this game, six carries for 39 yards and a touchdown,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: Miami Dolphins running backs had 12 carries.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's some 12 carries in the entire game in HN with 11, Jalen Wright with one for negative one yard.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: So in HN only at 13 touches, man, you're best offensive player with less than 20 touches when the game was at least within reach somewhere in the beginning of the third quarter.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: You were there right after the pick.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, by Michael Taffy, great pick by the way, Red Curricus and threw him through that was a cover three play called Taffy did really well in that game.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: He was tackling everywhere today, but it just goes to show that there was a disconnect on the offensive side of the ball and it leads me to the point where
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: They were hardly any live reps for precinct.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's all this talk about, oh yeah, you know, it's more joint practice oriented.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: We want to see how they do during their put and joint practices.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have the pressure of the scoreboard.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's a practice.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not live in the preseason.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: It has some meaning but not as much as a, you know, true regular season game.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think,
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know what they're going to look like up against the San Francisco 49ers, really.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was very disconnected, very disjointed.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, in my personal opinion, I feel like if this was the McDaniel offense, this would have looked a little bit better because there was chemistry at least there.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: There was continuity, there was no semblance of continuity between the quarterback, the wider severs, and the running back.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: There was some with the offensive line.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Austin Jackson was back, but he didn't have a good game either.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and I like the point you made who saw him about this offense not getting a lot of reps in the preseason.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: They had one drive, they scored a touchdown on that drive against the commander's backups, but that's it.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_01]: They had one drive together.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_01]: And it showed, it showed during this game.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_01]: This game looked like a preseason game for the Miami Dolphins offense.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: And if you again,
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: 12 carries by running backs for 35 yards.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's all that's all they had.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that was something that we thought would be this team's bread and butter, especially when you drafted Caden Proctor in the first round and you started him next to Patrick Paul.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: You got two behemoths on the left side of that line and you got one of the most athletic centers in the league in Aaron Brewer and you handed the ball off 12 times.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's, and this game wasn't out of reach.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: The team lost 27 to 13.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_01]: They lost by two touchdowns.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: This could have been a one score game in the second half if the dolphins would have converted that turn over into a touchdown.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: It would have been 27 to 20 and this team could have had a shot to maybe pull off a miracle at the end.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: But when you get away from what is supposed to be your calling card and you never get back to it, you can never develop a rhythm.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: you can never impose your will on an opposing defense.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what we saw today.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_01]: It was a completely disjointed performance by the Miami Dolphins offense.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: And I like Jeff Haffley as a head coach.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't want people to take this entire episode as me.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: hating on Jeff Haffley and saying I want Jeff Haffley replace him.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: Who's on to your point?
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want Mike McDaniel back because Los Angeles chargers lost to the Arizona Cardinals today and that's an even more embarrassing loss than our loss to the Las Vegas Raiders if you ask me especially with all the talent on that chargers team, but
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Haffley has to take some of the blame for today's offensive performance by not giving his starting offense reps in the preseason.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: And again, we go back to Bobby Slowick.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Bobby Slowick, as offensive coordinator, it is your job to establish the flow of the game and it never happened.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: It never happened through that entire contest.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: Instead, he just had Malik Willis doing five step and seven step drops and just fling it down the field to
- 16:20[SPEAKER_01]: receivers not named Caleb Douglas who could who just couldn't get open.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: You saw a nice grab by Chris Bell downfield, which was nice, but I'm not throwing 30 yard 40 yard passes to Malik Washington.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's just not how I am going to use Malik Washington in this receiving court.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's not his skill set.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm running him underneath letting Caleb Douglas feast deep, but it was it was that it was that all around.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully it will get better, but when you look at the schedule and you look at the teams that the dolphins have to face in the coming weeks, it doesn't get easier.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's San Francisco next week, then they come home and they have to play the Kansas City Chiefs and then Chris Jones on that defensive line like this, it's going to be a rough start and it's going to feel a whole lot like 2019 all over again.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: But can this team
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Much like the 2019 team, can they get better as the year goes along?
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what we're all hoping for.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: And if it happens, then I guess we can chalk that up as a win.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: We've got a comment here from Jeff Reed, Matrice Chiano.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Mollique didn't give up 27 points.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought our approach was a defensive mind.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Ain't no, that's a good point.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: Clint Kubiak, one of the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks based off.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: you know, the outside zone offense, mixing in the screen and Kubeyak and McFace games.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like the Raiders' offensive line was like much but you're proven that the offense defense of line.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty much got no push.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was, maybe it could have been, you know,
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, with Kenneth Grant being out, that could have been a potential root cause where they didn't have, you know, a guy that can eat a box, but Jordan Phillips is supposed to be the best run stopping defensive tackle.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: He was getting wham done, he was getting pounded on.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: Chabramsen, most of the game was nowhere to be found.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have another edge, uh, a run stopping edge right there.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: And it was very dependent on the second and third level guys.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how many times did we see Michael Taffy Zain Anderson, Dante Trader Jr and even Chris Johnson?
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: In the second and third level, tackle Ash and Ginti.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Ash and Ginti got at least 30, 40 yards after a contact after six or seven runs.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then just coverage-wise, it's self-impersonal matching.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look, the Raiders, they're 12 personnel is really good.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: They were in 12 personnel at least 46% of the time throughout the game.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_00]: In the beginning, it was 65% of the time.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: After the game ended, after I got all my data and metrics, they were there for 48% of the time.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, the game was already a way that they just went very, very vanilla on offense.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, 40% of the time, 6% on 48% of the Raiders 12 personnel, Jeff Haffley managed it, 95% of the time, 95% of the time when
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: The raiders were in 12 personnel.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Hathley, Mashin' in base, basically a 43-type of order, where he had three linebackers on the field.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: Positive EPA, it was not there, you know, that whenever that happened, and I'm sorry, I'm like, fumbling on my words.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: because I'm trying to say this in a better way, but whenever Jeff Hathley would match base defense with 12 personnel, they would be able to move the change on first and second out.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's how they were able to get into scoring position.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: And when the Raiders went on 11 in 11 personnel or even 21,
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: and Jeff Hathley matched with nickel, but he played man coverage in the end zone, right?
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's probably one of the worst coverages, especially cover one, because that was the one that caused two touchdowns specifically passing wise.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think this this viewer for his comment and he's not wrong not wrong at all 27 points given up by this defense.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: But come on, let's look at this secondary right now, right?
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Where where is the talent in this secondary, especially if you're pointing towards Chris Johnson and saying, well, well, he's the talent.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he got burned for two touchdowns today.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: So a rookie in his debut, if he's your savior, you're already in trouble, but
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Haffley, you know, pardon my French, he's trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's happening right now.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have talents talent in the secondary.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: This team is operating at 45% of the cap.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: They have a record setting amount of dead cap.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: This roster was never going to be deep.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: This roster was never going to be one of the most talented in the league.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: And you saw
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: the results of that today.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: I thought as far as defense goes, I thought Jacob Rodriguez had a rough start and then and then even doubt.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think he got better as the game went along.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he started playing a little bit better yet.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: He had some good hits.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I was a big fan of Jacob Rodriguez's game today.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I want to know where, where, where was that sealer, right?
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Where is this veteran presence in the middle of that defensive line?
- 21:25[SPEAKER_01]: He was invisible today.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Chop Robinson was invisible today for a team that is relying on so many young players.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: You need your veterans to step up and lead by example.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: And those guys didn't do it.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Who saw them?
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't know it.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, we're going to have to see what the responses and practice this coming week, what the responses when they play up against 49ers.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: in San Francisco, Kyle Lewis left the game with a knee injury, Michael Taffy, Zane Anderson, Dante Tritter Jr. What we thought the safety room was going to be an issue.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're the ones that came up with some of these big plays in this game, to at least get the dolphins back into the game.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it pretty much fell flat.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for us here right here on Scouting the Finns live post game reaction between the Dolphins and Raiders.
