- 6:09Speaker 3: had their first date. Well, we'll share that story in

- 6:17Speaker 2: Toby, It's Chilly in the Morning on ninety seven point
- 6:19Speaker 2: one wash FM. Tomorrow Valentine's Day. Are you ready for
- 6:24Speaker 2: the Day of love? Some people call it the Hallmark holiday. Regardless,
- 6:28Speaker 2: it is a day to ponder the relationship in your
- 6:31Speaker 2: life and to maybe do something kind, although one could
- 6:35Speaker 2: argue that every day is Valentine's Day, but I digress. Chili.
- 6:38Speaker 3: There's this couple in North Carolina. They decided to get
- 6:42Speaker 3: married in an ice cream shop, which, Okay, you're like, why,
- 6:45Speaker 3: It's because that's where they had their first date and
- 6:47Speaker 3: that place has a lot of meaning for them, and
- 6:50Speaker 3: so they celebrated their love and their union at an
- 6:53Speaker 3: ice cream shop. Now I know that you first got
- 6:57Speaker 3: in touch with your significant other when she slid into
- 7:01Speaker 3: your DMS.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yes on the insta.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't know where you actually had your
- 7:06Speaker 3: first date? Would where was?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Well, it wasn't really a date. Our first meeting was
- 7:11Speaker 2: at the Garden's ice House because she's a member of
- 7:14Speaker 2: the Potomac Curling Club.
- 7:15Speaker 3: So you met at an ice rink and we met in.
- 7:17Speaker 2: The parking lot of the Garden's ice House in Laurel.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And that was when it was like, hey, hey, there
- 7:24Speaker 2: you are in real life. Well here I am in
- 7:26Speaker 2: real life. It's nice to meet you.
- 7:27Speaker 3: You didn't go inside, you didn't do any No.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I think I had something else I had to do.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I can't recall what it was, but maybe I was
- 7:35Speaker 2: just trying to use that as the possible out, you
- 7:38Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 7:38Speaker 3: I don't know you're not married yet, but when you
- 7:40Speaker 3: ever consider having your ceremony in that parking lot, just
- 7:44Speaker 3: to commemorate the first time you laid eyes on each other?
- 7:47Speaker 2: You know, I wonder what that would cost to rented?
- 7:49Speaker 2: What about you? Well where I know that you and
- 7:52Speaker 2: your husband. We've talked about this before. You guys had
- 7:54Speaker 2: a coffee first date.

- 8:02Speaker 3: date itself was at Jam and Java, which is a
- 8:04Speaker 3: coffee shop in Vienna, Virginia. But the venue was way
- 8:09Speaker 3: too small for the size wedding that we had anyway,
- 8:11Speaker 3: but it's a quaint little spot.
- 8:13Speaker 2: A great place for music too, when you want to
- 8:15Speaker 2: see an aspiring artist, you know, climbing up.
- 8:17Speaker 3: There would have been a great band there. But right
- 8:20Speaker 3: I'm just curious, though, since we are celebrating love this weekend,
- 8:23Speaker 3: was there a unique place that you met your significant other?

- 12:36Speaker 2: Thank you for the call this morning, Stephanie, Hello there,
- 12:40Speaker 2: and thanks for listening in Kensington. Where did your love
- 12:42Speaker 2: story start?
- 12:43Speaker 4: Our started in the Ikea returns line. We both had
- 12:46Speaker 4: the same broken dresser and just.
- 12:48Speaker 5: The same defeated energy. Six years later, we still.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Argue about furniture, but you know now it's romantic, not

- 12:58Speaker 2: There at Ikea Try, I knew there was something special

- 13:20Speaker 2: It's ninety seven point one wash CHEFM coming up next
- 13:23Speaker 2: with Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
- 13:24Speaker 3: A couple of weeks ago, Toby, you share that you
- 13:26Speaker 3: had a leak in your apartment. Oh yes, are you
- 13:29Speaker 3: still dealing with the drama of it?
- 13:31Speaker 2: I mean, have they fixed the problem about that. I
- 13:34Speaker 2: had a meeting yesterday. I'll fill you in coming up.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And here I thought I was gonna get new lambined
- 13:42Speaker 2: hardwood floors in my place, Toby and Chilly in the morning,
- 13:45Speaker 2: it's ninety seven point one wash CHEFM. You know, during
- 13:48Speaker 2: that cold snap we had when the DMV got colder
- 13:50Speaker 2: than Antarctica, I had a pipe burst and water got
- 13:54Speaker 2: all over the living room and into the dining room
- 13:58Speaker 2: under the carpet. If it just was bad, they had
- 14:00Speaker 2: to like rip out walls, They had to like rip
- 14:03Speaker 2: out the carpet and take all the padding out.
- 14:05Speaker 3: So you said the silver lining was going to be
- 14:07Speaker 3: that you were going to get upgraded floors.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Well, that's what I thought. And then I met with
- 14:11Speaker 2: the manager of the property yesterday, okay, and that's when
- 14:15Speaker 2: I realized that what I thought was going to be
- 14:17Speaker 2: something cool and new is now a big nightmare and
- 14:20Speaker 2: a headache that's going to hit me right in the
- 14:23Speaker 2: pocket book.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Give me a reason why.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Why didn't realize Tuli that they want to put lambin
- 14:28Speaker 2: a flooring in the entire apartment, and that I would
- 14:31Speaker 2: have to move everything out and stash it in a
- 14:36Speaker 2: U haul that I've rented that I paid for. I'm like,
- 14:40Speaker 2: wait a minute, okay, So you want me to move
- 14:42Speaker 2: the beds out my home studio, in the living room,
- 14:45Speaker 2: the dining room.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Oh my god, not to.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Mention anything that touches yes, And I'm like, oh no,
- 14:52Speaker 2: no to me.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Look, I know that's financially a pain, but going through
- 14:57Speaker 3: that is a uh bigger pain than it's worth. And
- 15:02Speaker 3: I would if I were you wouldn't just move out?
- 15:05Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, if I'm gonna move all my stuff
- 15:08Speaker 2: out anyway, why don't I just move? Can you invalidate
- 15:11Speaker 2: the rest of the lease? Please? Can you know?
- 15:13Speaker 3: Can you not do anything about it? God? I guess
- 15:15Speaker 3: not if you just know.
- 15:16Speaker 2: They said flat out that the carpet was old it
- 15:19Speaker 2: was time to put something new down. Either way, I
- 15:23Speaker 2: would have to move everything out, And so I fought back.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I go or I pushed back. I shouldn't say fought.
- 15:29Speaker 2: I was very cordial. I said, why don't we just
- 15:31Speaker 2: put the lambon at hardwood flooring down the hallway? And
- 15:34Speaker 2: in the common areas outside of the bedrooms. Well, I'd
- 15:36Speaker 2: have to talk to the flooring contractor about that, but
- 15:39Speaker 2: we're gonna come in and we're gonna fix the walls first,
- 15:41Speaker 2: so we have time. Oh yeah, because Chilly they pulled
- 15:44Speaker 2: all the walls out. And guess who has to pay
- 15:46Speaker 2: for the paint because I don't use their standard paint.
- 15:48Speaker 3: That's right me, And suddenly owning a home is actually
- 15:53Speaker 3: not as bad as one would think.
- 15:55Speaker 2: You're right. I was gonna say, don't rub it in,
- 15:57Speaker 2: but you're right. With Toby and Chilly in the Morning,

- 21:54Speaker 2: and it comes from Thomas Jefferson High School, Alexandria. Or history.
- 21:58Speaker 2: It's not just being made in the classroom anymore. Oh No,
- 22:01Speaker 2: it's Thomas Jefferson High School. It's happening history on the

- 22:10Speaker 2: stepping in to lead varsity football and baseball teams, two
- 22:14Speaker 2: sports that have traditionally been run almost entirely by men.
- 22:20Speaker 3: We love this because Rachel Warshaw is taking over the
- 22:23Speaker 3: football program, bringing years of experience, including time where she
- 22:27Speaker 3: played on USA women's team in more than a decade
- 22:29Speaker 3: on the offensive line for the DC Divas. And then
- 22:32Speaker 3: just down the hall her co worker Jennifer Hammond getting
- 22:35Speaker 3: ready for baseball season after she was named head coach
- 22:38Speaker 3: last fall, and she has spent years coaching in the
- 22:41Speaker 3: area and even played for two decades in a women's
- 22:44Speaker 3: baseball league.
- 22:45Speaker 2: This is a major, major milestone right now. The school
- 22:49Speaker 2: is elite. They break records all the time. They're one
- 22:53Speaker 2: of the best in the country, first in the state.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Now to have women leading varsity football and baseball program
- 23:00Speaker 2: at the same time simultaneously, it's a shift. It says,
- 23:04Speaker 2: you know what, the sports world is changing, and that
- 23:08Speaker 2: is a great thing.
- 23:09Speaker 3: And both of them are saying really proud to be trailblazers,
- 23:13Speaker 3: but they're really focused less on the headlines and more
- 23:15Speaker 3: on the players that are in front of them, and
- 23:17Speaker 3: they're talking about building trust, teaching the game and also
- 23:21Speaker 3: showing students what is possible when leadership doesn't look the
- 23:24Speaker 3: way it always has.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Over at Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, they are
- 23:29Speaker 2: making history, not just in the classroom, but football baseball.
- 23:34Speaker 2: These two women are going to shake things up. We're
- 23:38Speaker 2: thinking states. If you want to read this story because

- 25:09Speaker 5: The reset is what I call the workout program I
- 25:11Speaker 5: do between New Year's and Valentine's Day. It's super intense.
- 25:15Speaker 5: No cheat days, no rest days for that six weeks.

- 25:36Speaker 2: And yes, I saw his instagram he was all topless.
- 25:38Speaker 2: He's looking very jacked and rip he is jack. This
- 25:41Speaker 2: after he went for a jog up and down the

- 25:45Speaker 3: Well, do you have or did you have a goal
- 25:47Speaker 3: in mind? And did you achieve it?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 25:49Speaker 3: I did and I hit the goal this morning. Okay,
- 25:52Speaker 3: what was the goal? Like, where'd you start in December
- 25:55Speaker 3: and where are you now? Well?
- 25:56Speaker 5: December is my cheat month, so after the debatch three

- 26:04Speaker 3: Listen to this, Oh my god, what were you in December?
- 26:06Speaker 2: It was right at twenty.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I probably have to say what's that wasn't?
- 26:11Speaker 5: And let me just say it wasn't just from going
- 26:14Speaker 5: hard in December. Like my pattern got thrown off last
- 26:18Speaker 5: year starting about August. So that was a good six
- 26:21Speaker 5: months of not sticking with my normal pattern.
- 26:24Speaker 3: That's intense. So what are you going to do to celebrate?
- 26:26Speaker 2: You know, cheat now that you can choolate chocolate and bourbon?

- 26:48Speaker 2: you available for personal training? And do you think that
- 26:51Speaker 2: you and I could probably work something out? Because if
