- 4:13Speaker 2: I asked my mother for a sixty dollars bear of
- 4:16Speaker 2: sneakers when I was a kid, and she screamed at

- 5:29Speaker 1: fourteen last night. To start up week number eleven tomorrow morning,
- 5:33Speaker 1: ten thirty. Right here where we are now, Logan Loose

- 5:43Speaker 2: Say it again, you haven't got Logan's grandma on here yet.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I haven't yet.
- 5:47Speaker 2: No, that'd be a wild show. I'm hoping to that'd
- 5:50Speaker 2: be a wild one. Would she come in with like
- 5:53Speaker 2: a bottle of whiskey or something? Oh no, No, she
- 5:56Speaker 2: doesn't drink. Oh okay, hopefully she's medicated when she comes in.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Really she's that outspoken.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Oh she's very Yeah, Okay, we'll call it out spoken.
- 6:06Speaker 2: She definitely definitely speaks her mind. She's a wild woman,
- 6:10Speaker 2: She's she's a good woman though. She really is.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Facebook question of Today this Morning, and I just posted
- 6:16Speaker 1: this up a short time ago. What's your favorite seasonal
- 6:18Speaker 1: classic TV special that you loved as a kid. For me,
- 6:25Speaker 1: it would have to be rooted off the Red Nose
- 6:27Speaker 1: reined here Froshie the Snowman was a little sad for me.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you. I always cried during that
- 6:32Speaker 1: for some he melted. Yes, he came back. But and
- 6:38Speaker 1: Charlie Brown, thanks.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Killed the football. Charlie Brown he fell for every year,
- 6:45Speaker 2: every time, every single time.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Do you know that there is something he reminds me
- 6:50Speaker 1: of JD.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Green? I how people treat JD. And he falls for
- 6:54Speaker 2: it every time.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I was just gonna say, there is something.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You're Charlie Brown. You are Charlie Brown.
- 7:05Speaker 1: There is something so deep about that part of Charlie Brown.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You know what? In something so in the Christmas spirit?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Can somebody tell me I am getting a cardigan sweater? Wait?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Hang on a second, Good morning, Gee, good morning, Glenn, Hey, Donna, Ben.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Is Glenn already for hunting season. Is he going to
- 7:27Speaker 2: bed right now to getting ready to get up early
- 7:29Speaker 2: for tomorrow?
- 7:30Speaker 1: Is he hunting with Kenny?
- 7:32Speaker 2: Well, as soon as Kenny gets out of the hospital, jeez,
- 7:38Speaker 2: Glenn will be up either because blind is all set
- 7:40Speaker 2: up and what you're just saying. So, starting next week,
- 7:43Speaker 2: as long as the book comes in, can I announce
- 7:47Speaker 2: it about the little please? The story time that we're
- 7:49Speaker 2: gonna do? Please do we are, We're gonna we're gonna
- 7:52Speaker 2: read some storytime children's books, Okay, starting next kind of
- 7:59Speaker 2: like a Mister Raws theme. Next Friday, Yeah, next Friday.
- 8:04Speaker 1: All right, please don't think about No, don't tell anyone
- 8:06Speaker 1: the name of the book.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Nope, I'm not gonna please. Okay, So, but I think
- 8:11Speaker 2: I'm at that Grandpa age where yeah, that would be
- 8:13Speaker 2: a nice segment, a nice little kid's book. I agree
- 8:17Speaker 2: to play along with it. Uh so, yeah, a little
- 8:20Speaker 2: story time. Yeah, we're getting into student holidays. Yeah, this
- 8:24Speaker 2: is the.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Time of year where we want to do something like that.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely special. It is rated PG. Thirteen, but it's
- 8:32Speaker 2: still a children's book.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Great, right, that's I don't think any let's do that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: So what was your favorite classic TV special. Man, I
- 8:43Speaker 1: love the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. We're gonna watch that tonight.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You want, you know, if I'm being perfectly honest, A
- 8:49Speaker 2: lot of my childhood I don't. I don't have like
- 8:52Speaker 2: good memories.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Okay of doing stuff like that.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I can remember watching TV shows and
- 8:57Speaker 2: stuff like that, but they were usually ruined with you know,
- 9:00Speaker 2: a good old beaten Well that's I'm I'm sorry to
- 9:05Speaker 2: hear that. Do you remember that was like life though?
- 9:08Speaker 2: That was just normal life.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Do you remember the days when Rudolph the Red Nose
- 9:13Speaker 1: reined here on CBS. It's like it came on on
- 9:16Speaker 1: Sunday night at eight o'clock. Yeah, and if you missed it,
- 9:21Speaker 1: you missed it.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Yeah you did. It was only once a year and
- 9:23Speaker 2: that was it.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and now and then and we only have but.
- 9:28Speaker 2: We missed it before we did because we did something
- 9:31Speaker 2: whatever my dad didn't like. At the times, we weren't allowed.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I remember when I remember when it came out on
- 9:38Speaker 1: VHS and you could that was the beginning of the
- 9:41Speaker 1: on demand culture where it's like, oh my god, I
- 9:45Speaker 1: can get it a lotbusters. We had my brother had
- 9:50Speaker 1: recorded it on the TV on the VHS player when
- 9:54Speaker 1: it was on TV.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Dude, you know what I just saw that.
- 9:57Speaker 1: That's copyright infringement, right, Like, if.
- 9:59Speaker 2: You're having problems filling in your resume, nobody can ever
- 10:03Speaker 2: check if you were a blockbuster manager.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Gee says Frosty. Yeah, Frosty was a big one for me. Man,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I just I couldn't deal with when he melted. That
- 10:16Speaker 1: just killed me every time, even though I knew he
- 10:20Speaker 1: was gonna come back with the Magic Snow anyway.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Magic No, I haven't heard that since Gustos.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I haven't heard magic Snow and magic dust since since
- 10:35Speaker 1: Cheech and Chong's explanation of Santa Claus and Christmas. Have
- 10:40Speaker 1: you ever heard the story of Santa Claus from Cheech
- 10:43Speaker 1: and Chong? Yeah, okay, I think that was nineteen seventy nine.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say about seven.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Fantastic. I love it. It's one of my most favorite things. Still.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Live Nation just released. Live Nation just released the results
- 10:56Speaker 1: of a big, big poll this week that found that
- 10:59Speaker 1: live music is the world's favorite way to be entertained,
- 11:06Speaker 1: coming in second, coming in second live sporting events. Uh
- 11:10Speaker 1: and what a perfect segue into the Battle in Bury
- 11:13Speaker 1: eighteen which is.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Kind of you know, we looked into that before, like
- 11:16Speaker 2: promoting a big concert up at the auditorium. I think
- 11:20Speaker 2: that would be a lot of fun. Yeah, well it's
- 11:22Speaker 2: been done. It's just been a long time. I mean
- 11:25Speaker 2: Rascal Flats played up at the Barry auditor.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I want to keep going.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh dude, Alison Krause saying my wedding song. Yeah, and
- 11:35Speaker 2: moments like this.
- 11:36Speaker 1: When you say nothing at all? Wouldn't you say nothing
- 11:40Speaker 1: at all? Was that the name of the song?
- 11:42Speaker 2: No? Moments like this?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what a beautiful voice. So how are the
- 11:48Speaker 1: tickets going for Battle and Barry eighteen?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Phenomenal? December sixth? Get onto donny Brook Flight Promotions okay
- 11:57Speaker 2: dot com, or get onto our Facebook page or Instagram page.
- 12:01Speaker 2: You can email us, you can send us a message.
- 12:04Speaker 2: We will get you ticket. I think the front row
- 12:07Speaker 2: is already sold out, pretty positive. That's that's usually goes
- 12:11Speaker 2: the front row is tables. But we do have VIP seating,
- 12:14Speaker 2: which you sat at. Those were great seats, weren't they amazing?
- 12:20Speaker 2: The VIP table there where seats eight people. It's one
- 12:23Speaker 2: hundred dollars a seat and you get your you get
- 12:25Speaker 2: a waitress you get everything. You know. The other thing
- 12:28Speaker 2: Taylor mentioned last night, and I think how many people
- 12:30Speaker 2: would be interested in a black tie event kickboxing event,
- 12:33Speaker 2: like just all tables, a nice galla. That would be
- 12:38Speaker 2: a lot of fun, and then the whole night would
- 12:41Speaker 2: be like just a nut. Oh Year's Eve, how much
- 12:47Speaker 2: fun would that be on a New Year's Eve dinner meal?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Kickboxing that'd be pretty cool. Maybe someday it's a great
- 12:56Speaker 2: idea too it, I know, maybe someday Black Guy event,
- 12:59Speaker 2: Donny Brook, black tye.
- 13:00Speaker 1: If I if I pay a little bit extra for
- 13:05Speaker 1: my ticket, can what could that possibly include me being
- 13:10Speaker 1: seated somewhere not with Kenny?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, hundred percent that that's definitely. Uh, that's an
- 13:17Speaker 2: add on. That is an add on.
- 13:19Speaker 1: And add on to not be with him.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yes, oh yes, yeah, you definitely have to pay extra.
- 13:23Speaker 2: If you don't want to pay extra, we'll definitely put
- 13:25Speaker 2: Kenny with you. You'll pay extra next time. We love Kenny.
- 13:31Speaker 2: We love Kenny ly.
- 13:34Speaker 1: I'm only saying that because I know he's he's in
- 13:37Speaker 1: the hospital and not not listening this morning.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he's probably is less ship.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Wow, we have a lot to talk about. First of all,
- 13:49Speaker 1: just a quick glimpse here at the community calendar, brought
- 13:54Speaker 1: to you by the World. There's so many, so many
- 13:56Speaker 1: things going on this weekend. I can't keep tracking from all.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean this.
- 14:00Speaker 2: That's good to have things going on. You know what's
- 14:02Speaker 2: even better is that you're on here telling people because
- 14:05Speaker 2: it's a lot of people don't get don't know what's
- 14:08Speaker 2: going on for the weekends. A lot of people locally
- 14:10Speaker 2: don't even know when we have our fights.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I know that's wild. We should say December sixth, December sixth,
- 14:18Speaker 1: yes Bury Bury auditors. Matter of fact, where's the Burry Auditorium?
- 14:24Speaker 2: I don't know? Answer that it's at one twenty. It's
- 14:28Speaker 2: at twenty Auditorium Hill. Where is that behind Saint Monica's Church?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Right here in Barry City?
- 14:35Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Exit six seven seven?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Okay, exit six or seven of ten minutes away?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Easy to get to, Yeah, super easy, right from Applebee's.
- 14:46Speaker 2: It's a help skipping and jump away.
- 14:48Speaker 1: What are you saying to folks, uh, not local who
- 14:51Speaker 1: have never been to a battle in Berry?
- 14:54Speaker 2: So that's the wild thing.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We want to know what is the battle in Berry?
- 14:58Speaker 2: So that's the thing is most people outside of this
- 15:02Speaker 2: demographic already know about us. We spend a ton of
- 15:05Speaker 2: money on advertising. They know they know that we put
- 15:08Speaker 2: we are the feature small glove moy Thai. We do.
- 15:13Speaker 2: So what we do one of the one of our
- 15:15Speaker 2: claims to fame or whatnot is we do professional Muay
- 15:19Speaker 2: Thai kickboxing and instead of using boxing gloves, we use
- 15:22Speaker 2: MMA gloves. So your guard has to be so much
- 15:27Speaker 2: more so when you're using a boxing glove, you can
- 15:32Speaker 2: use lazy guards because you don't need to close a
- 15:35Speaker 2: lot of space with a boxing glove. As your glove
- 15:38Speaker 2: gets smaller, your defense has to get tighter and until
- 15:43Speaker 2: you get to the bare knuckle, then it's super tight
- 15:46Speaker 2: for your defense. So it's a lot of fun to
- 15:50Speaker 2: watch because there's knockouts there. You know, there's a lot
- 15:53Speaker 2: more knockouts when it comes to the small glove. We
- 15:55Speaker 2: also do professional and amateur MMA. We do professional and
- 15:59Speaker 2: amateur kickboxing. We use We fly fighters in all the way.
- 16:04Speaker 2: We were trying to fly a fighter in from Sri Lanka,
- 16:07Speaker 2: the number one ranked fighter in Sri Lanka. His visa
- 16:10Speaker 2: got all fucked up so we couldn't get him over here.
- 16:12Speaker 2: We fly people in. We've had Sammy Mongoga up here
- 16:16Speaker 2: from Texas. He has over one hundred professional kickboxing fights.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Glover Tech Shriffs brought his teams up here.
- 16:23Speaker 1: So Mark Coleman's been here there, Mark Coleman.
- 16:26Speaker 2: My buddy, Hey, sober life with Mark Coleman.
- 16:28Speaker 1: You see him out playing in the snow the other day.
- 16:30Speaker 2: I did, I did. We have a lot of local teams.
- 16:35Speaker 2: You know, we have just up the road I where
- 16:38Speaker 2: I train out of Granite City MMA, they have fighters.
- 16:41Speaker 2: We have United Fighting Arts. I was training there last
- 16:44Speaker 2: night with Mike Desrozier. They have fighters up their combat
- 16:49Speaker 2: fitness up in Burlington. Those guys have fighters. You have
- 16:53Speaker 2: Team Lincoln, New Hampshire, they're always Yeah. You got Burgess,
- 16:57Speaker 2: Maine up there, Massachut, there's just New York. Yeah. We
- 17:02Speaker 2: bring in fighters from everywhere to fill in. So we
- 17:06Speaker 2: have you. You know, we have our Vermont fighters, but
- 17:08Speaker 2: we also bring in people to fill in for where
- 17:11Speaker 2: we lack the Vermont fighters. But the gyms are really
- 17:14Speaker 2: really growing. March, We're gonna do a straight kickboxing card.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I've already hit up like a master, Freddy Fredie Lapan.
- 17:22Speaker 2: I grew up with Freddy, so I hit him up
- 17:24Speaker 2: and I hit up a couple other karate studios, So
- 17:26Speaker 2: let them know because that's their forte. That's what they do.
- 17:28Speaker 2: They kickbox. So if we can, if we can get
- 17:31Speaker 2: more traditional gyms involved, then that's what they want to
- 17:35Speaker 2: do and help out their demographic of people. We'll do
- 17:37Speaker 2: that too.
- 17:38Speaker 1: What are you saying to someone who's never been to
- 17:39Speaker 1: a battle in Perry, Oh.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Come check out one live show. If you've never been
- 17:43Speaker 2: into a battle in Barry, send me a message and
- 17:47Speaker 2: just send a message to the page. And all I
- 17:49Speaker 2: want you to write is I've never been all right, yeah,
- 17:56Speaker 2: just send me a message and we'll see what we
- 17:57Speaker 2: can do.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Donnybrook Fight Promotions dot Com.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah well yeah, you can go onto there or go
- 18:01Speaker 2: right to our Facebook or Instagram page. That's easier. You
- 18:04Speaker 2: get a quicker response through there. Okay. So and then Sunday,
- 18:10Speaker 2: every Sunday at noon, yeah, we do a giveaway. So
- 18:13Speaker 2: you got to follow the page, follow the Donning Brook page.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Make sure you get on there, like, follow and share
- 18:19Speaker 2: because every Sunday, when you do that, we enter your
- 18:22Speaker 2: name into the wind wheel.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Okay, what's that? What is that?
- 18:25Speaker 2: So the wind wheel? Like we'll come up with a
- 18:27Speaker 2: question like who's your favorite UFC fighter, And everybody in
- 18:33Speaker 2: the comments puts it on there. You know who their
- 18:35Speaker 2: favorite is. So we take those names. My daughter all
- 18:37Speaker 2: week long gathers all those names, puts them into like
- 18:40Speaker 2: a wheel of fortune wind wheel thing, and your name
- 18:44Speaker 2: never comes out of there. The wheel gets bigger and
- 18:46Speaker 2: bigger and bigger, and the prizes get bigger and bigger
- 18:48Speaker 2: and bigger. So last week we gave away four general
- 18:51Speaker 2: admission tickets. Nice, yeah, so oh yeah, yeah, So there's
- 18:57Speaker 2: a couple hundred dollars that we gave away. So we
- 18:59Speaker 2: get away gear, we give away VIP tables, we give
- 19:02Speaker 2: away VIP packages. There's ways, you know, we have if
- 19:07Speaker 2: that's something you're interested in doing, whether it be advertising
- 19:10Speaker 2: or you know, if you want if you want to
- 19:13Speaker 2: do something nice for your company, advertise, get your name
- 19:18Speaker 2: up there. You get a VIP table if you want
- 19:20Speaker 2: to treat your company to VIP treatment, to go down
- 19:24Speaker 2: and meet the fighters, meet the UFC officials. Just just
- 19:27Speaker 2: a cool night. It's a cool night.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Just by by some of your your employees.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Some check, buy a table, buy a VIP table, or
- 19:36Speaker 2: even better, because when you're when you are a VIP sponsor.
- 19:40Speaker 2: We allow them to go in Like they go into
- 19:42Speaker 2: the cage, they get to get pictures taken with the
- 19:44Speaker 2: ring girls, to get pictures taken with the our MC
- 19:48Speaker 2: margaret so and they get to and they get to
- 19:51Speaker 2: picture inside of the cage with their logos and stuff
- 19:54Speaker 2: like that. Nice. So it's a it's a plus. There's
- 19:57Speaker 2: a couple of thousand people that are there and your
- 19:59Speaker 2: name is getting shown in front of everybody.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Big deal. So we're around three or four fights per year, yes,
- 20:05Speaker 1: all right.
- 20:06Speaker 2: We just thrive for four, but right now we're doing
- 20:08Speaker 2: three because we just got so much go on.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And this is the eighteenth battle and Barry yep, holy
- 20:14Speaker 1: crap wrecks December sixth saved that date on your.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Campd Well, think about it. You know that our local fighters,
- 20:20Speaker 2: a lot of our local fighters, man, they that's where
- 20:23Speaker 2: their name came from. That's where they started at Chris
- 20:25Speaker 2: Parol right out of Donnybrook Fight Promotions. Bas those guys
- 20:28Speaker 2: out of Grantite City, right, I mean that was a
- 20:30Speaker 2: that was huge for them to jump start to other
- 20:33Speaker 2: promotions and ship.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Quick check of the roads here. The things are great
- 20:38Speaker 1: right now, we're showing you a live cheem in Hartford
- 20:42Speaker 1: on I eighty nine South. Looks good, looks good, clear Road.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Hertford's a dangerous place. Hartford is a weird place. There's
- 20:50Speaker 1: a lot of drugs, there's a lot of crime. It's
- 20:53Speaker 1: the I've seen the dark side of Heartland, and I
- 20:56Speaker 1: don't because it's such a It looks like a peaceful
- 21:00Speaker 1: little Vermont town. And then in the suburbs there's just trap.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Oh we've seen you know, we see that everywhere. Man, Yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I want to I also want to mention Uh no, no, no, no,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I just got of the things I want to mention.
- 21:16Speaker 1: The the glitz and glam Gala. That's where everybody gets
- 21:22Speaker 1: dialed up in their glitz and their glam fancy dresses
- 21:26Speaker 1: and we get all dressed up and uh and the
- 21:30Speaker 1: girls get together and they do the hair and the
- 21:32Speaker 1: makeup and they come out to the Elks Lodge. Once
- 21:35Speaker 1: a year they do this and it's coming up on
- 21:38Speaker 1: tomorrow night, seven pm. Oh wow, Yeah, I think you
- 21:43Speaker 1: and I should maybe put on our wigs and see
- 21:46Speaker 1: if we know.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I would have No, no, do you still have the tuxedo?
- 21:53Speaker 2: I do, But this is a lady's don't we have
- 21:57Speaker 2: all this ladies, all right? Oh you want to hang
- 22:00Speaker 2: out at the door away for him to get all intoxicated.
- 22:02Speaker 2: We'll catch him on the way out.
- 22:04Speaker 1: No, I want to see if we can sneak in there.
- 22:06Speaker 2: You still have that we like the Budweiser girls.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Do you still have that wig? The long blonde hair
- 22:14Speaker 1: one or the that was your wig? Do you still
- 22:18Speaker 1: if you're Richard Simmons wig?
- 22:21Speaker 2: I do. And that was not Richard Simmons. That was
- 22:24Speaker 2: not That was the creepy eighties gym coach that we
- 22:28Speaker 2: all had. Uh. They were never creepy to me. But
- 22:31Speaker 2: if you were a girl in gym glass in the
- 22:33Speaker 2: eighties and you saw a dude with that little shorty
- 22:36Speaker 2: shorts and tube socks all the way to his knees
- 22:39Speaker 2: and a big old creeper mustache, you already knew.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Wow. I'm still trying to get more info in the
- 22:47Speaker 1: sox sale in cap it as I was last Friday
- 22:51Speaker 1: when I was talking with you. Wow, still trying.
- 22:53Speaker 2: To if only there was a representative or we knew
- 22:56Speaker 2: somebody from darn Tough at darned Uff. That should be a.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Real November twenty second, which is next Saturday, it's a
- 23:04Speaker 1: week from tomorrow Barry Elks Lodge, in conjunction with the
- 23:08Speaker 1: Elks National Foundation, they're going to be hosting the annual
- 23:12Speaker 1: Hoop Shoot, which is you know, it's a Spaulding High
- 23:16Speaker 1: School thing and it's a big deal.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I think we're forgetting. I think we're forgetting like the
- 23:21Speaker 2: most important Vermont tradition Saturday morning, or actually it starts
- 23:26Speaker 2: Friday night, and that's Widow weekend at Gustos with the
- 23:31Speaker 2: male strippers. That starts Friday night.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Did you just say mail strippers?
- 23:35Speaker 2: I did. So that was like a thing back in
- 23:38Speaker 2: the day. You would go there, like you didn't want
- 23:40Speaker 2: to go inside Gusto's, but you'd hang out in the
- 23:42Speaker 2: parky lot wait for the strippers to get done and
- 23:45Speaker 2: all them desperate ladies to help, and then the start
- 23:48Speaker 2: of deer season. That's where it starts. So it starts
- 23:51Speaker 2: Friday night at Gustos Deer season does guys are going
- 23:55Speaker 2: to their deer camps. They're hitting the bars in Hardwick,
- 23:57Speaker 2: the wives are hitting the local bars down here. And
- 24:00Speaker 2: this has been a Vermonte tradition for one hundred, two hundred.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Years, two hundred years.
- 24:06Speaker 2: They've been having their mail servers at gotstas or yeah,
- 24:09Speaker 2: I think this is like seventeen seventy six or something.
- 24:13Speaker 2: I wonder what they looked like back then. I don't
- 24:16Speaker 2: know they actually took the wool off. They stripped down
- 24:21Speaker 2: to their knickers.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Corey is saying the the sock sales the twenty second
- 24:25Speaker 1: and twenty third, and Sherilyn is sitting at home right
- 24:28Speaker 1: now listening and saying, my god, I wish that Corey
- 24:32Speaker 1: didn't say that. So twenty second and twenty third is
- 24:36Speaker 1: the sox sale. I'll be there period. Also coming up
- 24:40Speaker 1: packed the pantry at Price Chopper many of us know
- 24:44Speaker 1: it has stuff a truck which has been around for
- 24:47Speaker 1: what is this twenty years?
- 24:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, over twenty.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Huge November twentieth through the twenty second November twentieth through
- 24:57Speaker 1: the twenty second pack the pin entry again. Price Chopper
- 25:02Speaker 1: parking lot is where it is. They're not leaving until
- 25:05Speaker 1: the truck is stuffed. And here's the deal. Every single
- 25:09Speaker 1: nonperishable food item that is collected stays right here in
- 25:12Speaker 1: our community, goes right to keith av to the Salvation
- 25:16Speaker 1: Army and they fill that food pantry for one year.
- 25:21Speaker 1: And they do it our community does it in a
- 25:24Speaker 1: matter of a couple of days, which is so.
- 25:27Speaker 2: It's got to be the life. It's so living like
- 25:30Speaker 2: kings on the system.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I'm talking about something wonderful in our community.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So I was so distracted. I was just watching the
- 25:39Speaker 2: three people with everything that they own pushing it down
- 25:43Speaker 2: the street, and I was thinking, those are the people
- 25:45Speaker 2: that are taking advantage of the system. The reason that
- 25:48Speaker 2: America is failing is because those people are living high
- 25:51Speaker 2: on the hog as they walk by with all of
- 25:53Speaker 2: their fucking possessions. Sorry, that was my little ranch. Anyway,
- 25:57Speaker 2: go ahead, What were we talking about?
- 25:58Speaker 1: No, that's it. I was talking about pack the pantry
- 26:01Speaker 1: and yes, listens.
- 26:03Speaker 2: And it used to be huge. We used to have
- 26:04Speaker 2: empathy for people. We used to care about people every year.
- 26:08Speaker 2: We used we had the the toys for tots. That's
- 26:11Speaker 2: another huge thing that used to do. Those things have
- 26:13Speaker 2: all fallen off. We don't do that. We don't we
- 26:16Speaker 2: don't have the Our sense of community is social media platforms.
- 26:21Speaker 2: I like you know, like you subscribe.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Here's the thing. I understand what you're I understand what
- 26:29Speaker 1: you're alluding to, but I'm not sure I totally agree
- 26:34Speaker 1: with you. I think that it's that there's still some
- 26:37Speaker 1: programs that are alive and well yeah events, Oh I
- 26:40Speaker 1: I I believe that, and I think Packed the Pantry
- 26:44Speaker 1: is one of them.
- 26:45Speaker 2: I think it's a great thing. I just I.
- 26:49Speaker 1: It needs more support. It does need more support, and
- 26:56Speaker 1: that's why we're talking about it. Yeah, absolutely, because because
- 26:59Speaker 1: the Attom line is it helps people locally. Number two
- 27:02Speaker 1: Christmas for Kids. Jason Flurry Man.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, I really I like Jason, I really do.
- 27:11Speaker 2: I'm not a huge fan of comms, but I like
- 27:13Speaker 2: Jason Flurry. Jason's a He's.
- 27:14Speaker 1: The real deal man.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah he is.
- 27:16Speaker 1: He and his daughter are just kicking ass. They're still doing.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Absolutely. I've offered him and his daughter to come up
- 27:24Speaker 2: and then for free lessons up there, and he tells
- 27:26Speaker 2: me he's gonna make it. But he's a busy dude. Man,
- 27:29Speaker 2: he's got his job. And then he collects all that,
- 27:32Speaker 2: all this the toys for the kids and shit, I mean.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Hey, speaking of toys for tots here, who would it
- 27:41Speaker 1: be in our local community. Who's the rep for Toys
- 27:45Speaker 1: for Tots that could come in here and talk about
- 27:47Speaker 1: it on the air.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Do you know how to hit up. Actually, you know
- 27:51Speaker 2: who could tell you that is Patty O'Neil. I don't
- 27:53Speaker 2: know who's running it right now, but she used to
- 27:55Speaker 2: run it. She could probably get somebody for you.
- 27:58Speaker 1: All Right, I want to talk about what well. I
- 28:05Speaker 1: want to talk about this This week was.
- 28:09Speaker 2: We should keep it mellow. We really should. I I'd
- 28:12Speaker 2: hate for you to lose sponsors because of my mouth.
- 28:16Speaker 1: This week.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Was shout out to Kidder's Interior.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's one of your sponsors.
- 28:24Speaker 2: That is one of my sponsors. Comfort In another one.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I want to touch it.
- 28:28Speaker 1: I want to talk about this week, but first you're
- 28:30Speaker 1: talking about sponsors for Donningburg Fight Promotions. I want to
- 28:35Speaker 1: talk about Fecto Holmes, one of my sponsors.
- 28:38Speaker 2: You know what, dude, I have nothing bad to say
- 28:41Speaker 2: about the Fecto family. They helped me out tremendously when
- 28:46Speaker 2: I was getting my start. They were the best people
- 28:49Speaker 2: to get your start when it came to working, because
- 28:53Speaker 2: they worked. That fucking family was such a hard Like
- 28:58Speaker 2: his mother was lugging shingles Victory. Yeah, but his mother,
- 29:04Speaker 2: his mother would lug shingles. They would get up there
- 29:06Speaker 2: and they would work and Dan oh yeah, well Dan,
- 29:09Speaker 2: Jimmy I grew up with Dan and Jimmy, and Dan
- 29:11Speaker 2: was younger. Jimmy is who I grew up with, but
- 29:13Speaker 2: I grew up their dad. So we would go up
- 29:15Speaker 2: there and in order to they would have a pay list.
- 29:19Speaker 2: They were like, this is what we pay for citing,
- 29:21Speaker 2: this is what we pay That pay list was created
- 29:26Speaker 2: where you had to earn your fucking money and you
- 29:29Speaker 2: couldn't sit around because you you wouldn't make any money.
- 29:32Speaker 2: So you had there was You had to put in
- 29:34Speaker 2: long days, put it in, but you could make money.
- 29:37Speaker 2: There was always money there. They they would hire local carpenters.
- 29:41Speaker 2: They always fed the local economy. Like you were hurting
- 29:44Speaker 2: for money, You like, I haven't sold any jobs. The
- 29:47Speaker 2: people today have never seen the bad times of construction,
- 29:51Speaker 2: when things are really slow, when the economy sucks, when
- 29:54Speaker 2: nobody's doing remodels anymore. So now you're out your onesies
- 29:59Speaker 2: and twosies. There was me and my cousin Pete. We
- 30:01Speaker 2: would go. We'd be like, hey, Victor, we don't have
- 30:03Speaker 2: any work this week. He'd be like, hey, I got
- 30:06Speaker 2: siding here. I got this. It wasn't a lot of money,
- 30:08Speaker 2: but it was a paycheck, and that was he was
- 30:10Speaker 2: a I always.
- 30:13Speaker 1: One of the things that you and I have talked
- 30:16Speaker 1: about is that more adult children than ever are moving
- 30:20Speaker 1: back home more and from that more I said the
- 30:24Speaker 1: same thing, more from honors than ever. Also want to
- 30:27Speaker 1: see their aging parents close by so that they can
- 30:29Speaker 1: each in place. Accessory dwelling units are really they're really popular.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Right doing that. I have a car to have garage,
- 30:41Speaker 2: and we just cleaned it out because I'm doing the
- 30:43Speaker 2: exact same thing because my in laws. So it really
- 30:46Speaker 2: bothered me that my in laws live down here and
- 30:51Speaker 2: they have to struggle every month. You know, it's a
- 30:54Speaker 2: fixed income, and they worked hard. Why the fuck do
- 30:57Speaker 2: they have to struggle? Yeah, so we're turning that into
- 31:00Speaker 2: a one bedroom apartment for them right at my house.
- 31:03Speaker 2: That's what we're doing that there were so that my
- 31:06Speaker 2: my wife can.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I think that's fantastic, dude, I mean, the.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Only way but okay, realistically, the only reason that it's
- 31:16Speaker 2: happening is because I'm doing it myself. I could afford
- 31:20Speaker 2: to hire somebody you're talking about. It costs sixty seventy
- 31:23Speaker 2: thousand dollars to do one of those.
- 31:25Speaker 1: The thing about these ads though, is they can stand alone.
- 31:28Speaker 1: They can go on the property by themselves, or you
- 31:30Speaker 1: can attach them to.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Bobby Bartlett your home. Yeah, I built one, Bobby Gilverert.
- 31:37Speaker 2: I built one for Bobby Barlett, exactly right on his
- 31:39Speaker 2: front lawn. It's beautiful, little like seven hundred, eight hundred
- 31:43Speaker 2: square foot one bedroom house is awesome.
- 31:46Speaker 1: It gives you valuable extra living space. It brings your
- 31:51Speaker 1: family together, and frankly, it increases your property value big time, tenfold.
- 31:57Speaker 1: You can rent it, you can, you can offset your mortgage,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you can.
- 32:02Speaker 2: You know. Let's be real though, if shit hits the
- 32:04Speaker 2: I'm just saying, who can you rely on your new
- 32:07Speaker 2: friend that you just met.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Just saying or your family?
- 32:11Speaker 2: I understand.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Plus think about this. Guests arriving for the holidays. Put
- 32:20Speaker 1: them out in the a d U right, yep, thank you?
- 32:26Speaker 1: Wow Yeah, Fecto Holmes dot com. Check them out. I
- 32:32Speaker 1: was over there tour number seven oh nine. This beautiful
- 32:37Speaker 1: one bed to bath twenty seven feet by forty one
- 32:41Speaker 1: beautiful perimeter heat. I mean it's just a gorgeous. It's
- 32:44Speaker 1: right next to tractor supply. It's the red ADU. Oh
- 32:47Speaker 1: no shit, right next attractor supply party.
- 32:50Speaker 2: That's a really cool little market. Go in there.
- 32:52Speaker 1: It's the front porch.
- 32:53Speaker 2: I love it when local people create new things in
- 32:56Speaker 2: the market. Talking about that burgo more burgogmon bergamont. Okay,
- 33:01Speaker 2: So I stopped in there yesterday because what is the
- 33:04Speaker 2: new fad between us all of our new friends? What
- 33:07Speaker 2: is it? What is it? Oh lord, it's this bag? Okay,
- 33:14Speaker 2: every all of my friends, we all carry this self
- 33:19Speaker 2: protection bag. Okay. Our wallets are in here, my stiletto
- 33:24Speaker 2: switchblades in here, everything's in here. So I stopped that.
- 33:27Speaker 2: It's not fair that my wife and all of our
- 33:30Speaker 2: wives get to go in there and buy three hundred
- 33:32Speaker 2: dollars purses. I want a three hundred dollars purse. So
- 33:37Speaker 2: I'm I'm thinking they are gonna start designing some beautiful
- 33:42Speaker 2: little man purses for us. Christmas is going to be
- 33:48Speaker 2: good for us guys this year locally.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Can I can I see? Can I see your back?
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah? Oh no, I'm not throwing a glock in there.
- 34:01Speaker 1: I just want to have a I just want to
- 34:03Speaker 1: have a look in here. Can we do this live
- 34:06Speaker 1: on the air unless you're gonna shoot me? Condoms?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Who are you? Chris Hansen? I seriously.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Hand moisturizer.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you seel drama hands are.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Why do you have hand cream in here?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Buddy? Do you see drama hands? Are? I work construction?
- 34:30Speaker 2: You need the hand cream?
- 34:33Speaker 1: Vaseline?
- 34:36Speaker 2: You never know, you can always find yourself in a
- 34:37Speaker 2: tight spot.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Chapstick, Yeah, of course, hand sanitizer.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Ye, normal run in the mill stuff.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The hand lotion. I'm kind of.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Did I wear crat your hands?
- 34:55Speaker 3: I know?
- 34:55Speaker 1: But are you?
- 34:58Speaker 2: He didn't even talk about the glock ten millimeters or
- 35:00Speaker 2: all the nice stiletto inside of there.
- 35:06Speaker 1: Uh, let's get serious for a second.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yes, let's get serious this week. Release the Epstein files.
- 35:13Speaker 1: We're gonna talk We're gonna we're gonna talk about that
- 35:15Speaker 1: in a little bit. All right, we're talking about that
- 35:17Speaker 1: in a little bit. But but first, this this week,
- 35:25Speaker 1: I've really had some profound moments here on the air,
- 35:31Speaker 1: moments of like a lot of laughter and a lot
- 35:35Speaker 1: of fun. Uh, which was was yesterday Wednesday? Sergeant rick
- 35:43Speaker 1: Yarish came in here.
- 35:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you had a lot of veterans. You had
- 35:47Speaker 2: Cody here.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Had Cody here, Cody Copeland, the.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Kids is stun man. A lot of people, so it's
- 35:54Speaker 2: really hard and me and him. I talked to him
- 35:57Speaker 2: in depth about this because I really like that I
- 36:00Speaker 2: relate to that kid. When you come back to Vermont
- 36:07Speaker 2: where he was, what he did. He's out of Acenza,
- 36:10Speaker 2: Italy one hundred and seventy third Airborne Division. You go overseas,
- 36:16Speaker 2: you see a lot of action. You the kid was
- 36:19Speaker 2: in constant combat for like a year, man some heavy combat.
- 36:25Speaker 2: So you go, you do all that, and then and
- 36:27Speaker 2: then you know you're back in either of Vicenza. You're
- 36:30Speaker 2: back in You're back in Brag, You're you're you're at
- 36:33Speaker 2: the bases, but you're surrounded by other people that can
- 36:36Speaker 2: relate to you. You come back to Vermont, there's no military,
- 36:40Speaker 2: there's no big military bases around here. Most people you
- 36:45Speaker 2: can't relate to. They don't except for the guys like
- 36:48Speaker 2: if you win in a guard unit, and you know,
- 36:51Speaker 2: those guys that you deployed with in a guard unit
- 36:54Speaker 2: are still around here. But when you go active duty
- 36:56Speaker 2: and you come back here, it's, uh, it's hard to
- 37:00Speaker 2: find people to relate to. There's a cycle that we
- 37:03Speaker 2: go through and there's stages you count. First thing when
- 37:09Speaker 2: you come back, you come back and you're like, holy shit,
- 37:12Speaker 2: the shit that I went through, I should have died,
- 37:14Speaker 2: so now I'm invincible. This is where soldiers have a
- 37:17Speaker 2: real problem because they come back and they're like, I
- 37:19Speaker 2: am fucking invincible, and that's when you get killed. Not
- 37:21Speaker 2: everybody's like this, but okay, no, uh, you're absolutely right,
- 37:26Speaker 2: because everybody does different things in the military. Everybody combat
- 37:32Speaker 2: arms is a different beast. That CIB that we talked
- 37:36Speaker 2: about is a different beast. That CIB is not a cab.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Let's explain that for a second. A CAB is a
- 37:43Speaker 2: combat action badge. If there is fire anywhere within a mile,
- 37:48Speaker 2: a mortar hits, you can qualify for that combat action badge,
- 37:53Speaker 2: a combat infantry badge, the rifle with the wreath. You
- 37:59Speaker 2: have to come under direct enemy fire. You have to
- 38:02Speaker 2: return fire. I mean, somebody was actually trying to kill
- 38:05Speaker 2: you and you either killed them you survived that, and
- 38:10Speaker 2: that is what you get. That was a direct fire.
- 38:14Speaker 2: So you're absolutely right. Not everybody goes through those stages.
- 38:20Speaker 2: It is very common for combat arms to go through
- 38:23Speaker 2: those stages. So you come back, you you go through
- 38:27Speaker 2: your your wild stage, I'll call it. This is a
- 38:31Speaker 2: really dangerous stage because you're not afraid of anybody like, dude,
- 38:35Speaker 2: I can't remember fistfighting some of the biggest dudes, like
- 38:39Speaker 2: I've been shot at all you're gonna do is beat
- 38:41Speaker 2: me up. I don't care, Let's fight, you know what
- 38:43Speaker 2: I mean. And I saw that in Cody when he
- 38:45Speaker 2: first came back.
- 38:47Speaker 1: So when I say it was an interesting week, I'm
- 39:01Speaker 1: saying it was an interesting week. It was really a
- 39:07Speaker 1: sensitive time on the air, and Cody was light years
- 39:14Speaker 1: out of his comfort level. Two. He's never been on
- 39:19Speaker 1: the air before, he's never done anything like this, So
- 39:22Speaker 1: for him to come in here and talk about his
- 39:27Speaker 1: his experience, his life, what he's what he's been through
- 39:33Speaker 1: was massive, and frankly, I'll never forget it.
- 39:38Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, yeah, he's a good kid, and
- 39:43Speaker 2: there's there's just there's those stages that you go through,
- 39:46Speaker 2: and I recognize those stages. I've been through. I'm a
- 39:49Speaker 2: bit older, so I went through those stages already. So
- 39:53Speaker 2: I'm glad like he came on here, I'm glad he
- 39:56Speaker 2: got that was able to get that out.
- 39:58Speaker 1: For for someone for a soldier two, give me a
- 40:08Speaker 1: CIB and a jump patch. I just I'm not familiar
- 40:15Speaker 1: with with all this kind of stuff.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I know what those Those are jump wings. So those
- 40:23Speaker 2: are American jump wings. You get that you go through
- 40:28Speaker 2: jump school Fort Benning, Georgia. I went through jump school
- 40:31Speaker 2: in El Salvador. My wings were different. And that is
- 40:35Speaker 2: the CIB. That's Combat Infantry Badge, and that's I mean,
- 40:41Speaker 2: it's it's different earning that because so in order to
- 40:44Speaker 2: get any kind of awards in the infantry, you have
- 40:50Speaker 2: to go above and beyond your job. And your job
- 40:55Speaker 2: is to be in direct fire with people. Okay, So
- 40:59Speaker 2: it's not uncommon for somebody in other positions to get
- 41:02Speaker 2: like say a Bronze Star, a Bronze Star with Valor,
- 41:07Speaker 2: because say he was a mechanic on a on a truck,
- 41:14Speaker 2: but that truck could attack, So now he had to
- 41:16Speaker 2: turn from being a mechanic to being an infantry soldier.
- 41:20Speaker 2: So now he started fighting with them. They're like, okay,
- 41:22Speaker 2: well that wasn't your job. So you went above and
- 41:25Speaker 2: beyond your job. I'm gonna give you a Bronze Star
- 41:28Speaker 2: with Valor because you took the motivation to go above
- 41:32Speaker 2: and beyond your job and you did this and you
- 41:34Speaker 2: you swore it off attack. You could be surrounded by
- 41:37Speaker 2: a bunch of infantry soldiers. You know what they get.
- 41:40Speaker 2: They get that, that's what they get. They'll they won't
- 41:44Speaker 2: get a bronze star because that was their job. You
- 41:47Speaker 2: have to do extraordinary things to get anything in the infantry,
- 41:53Speaker 2: in a special operations unit, stuff like that. They don't
- 41:57Speaker 2: just Cody, especially when you're if you're not like a
- 42:00Speaker 2: captain or high up and see a senior n CL.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Cody is a local guy man.
- 42:07Speaker 2: And and you know what, you know what's weird is
- 42:10Speaker 2: my father served with his uncle Butchy in Vietnam. Yeah, but.
- 42:22Speaker 1: You know what what strikes me is to have such
- 42:27Speaker 1: a hero who lives right down the road from me.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Right. How many others are there? How many other veterans.
- 42:34Speaker 2: It's easy go to Spalding High School. They're on the wall.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Mhmm.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Yeah, there's so many local studs.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I walked through the Norwich campus a couple of weeks ago,
- 42:48Speaker 1: and what I saw was so powerful. Oh yeah, Cody
- 42:57Speaker 1: wants to do to take his experience in some capacity
- 43:05Speaker 1: and put it out there for others to say, Hey,
- 43:10Speaker 1: we're here, we're here, we're not forgotten, we've come back,
- 43:15Speaker 1: We're lucky to be alive and let's connect, whether that's
- 43:21Speaker 1: over at the Veterans Home in Bradford or Northfield or whatever.
- 43:26Speaker 1: So I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do,
- 43:31Speaker 1: but we met each other because of you. I didn't
- 43:36Speaker 1: know who Cody was. You introduced us and look what
- 43:40Speaker 1: that Look what resulted in here. He came in here
- 43:42Speaker 1: and this isn't the kind of stuff that Cody does.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And he came in on camera right and shared his story,
- 43:54Speaker 1: very vulnerable. I mean, that was a that was a
- 43:56Speaker 1: veteran's day that I'll never for get. Rex, unbelievable experience.
- 44:03Speaker 1: And I want to thank you for introducing to Cody. Next,
- 44:07Speaker 1: we'll get him in the gym. Can we do that?
- 44:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll get him in. He's gonna be a stud
- 44:11Speaker 2: because he's already been through so much shit already a stud,
- 44:14Speaker 2: yeah he is. But now we just got to give
- 44:16Speaker 2: him some hands, all right, So let's cut him in there.
- 44:19Speaker 2: But he's gotta get But so that's the thing is
- 44:21Speaker 2: he's in the cycle where that's so we go back
- 44:26Speaker 2: to that cycle. We go through that wild stage usually
- 44:28Speaker 2: involves drugs, alcohol, just being a crazy fuck fighting, and
- 44:34Speaker 2: then you have the stage where you know you get
- 44:36Speaker 2: rid of the drugs, but then the alcohol is still
- 44:38Speaker 2: an issue, and then hopefully, uh, you know, your kids
- 44:45Speaker 2: come along, we smarten to fuck up, we decide to
- 44:48Speaker 2: change things and go to the gym. And I don't
- 44:50Speaker 2: know if he's at that stage yet, but when he's ready,
- 44:55Speaker 2: we'll be here.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Let's let's let's see if we can make that happen.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Yeah, doors always open and always.
- 45:03Speaker 1: And you don't have to go in there with with
- 45:05Speaker 1: the How am I trying to say this? You don't
- 45:09Speaker 1: have to go in there uh in angry dude. You
- 45:13Speaker 1: can just go in there saying Hey, like I say,
- 45:18Speaker 1: I'm a lofer, not a fighter.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Thesey I have a pretitive I haven't had a competitive
- 45:25Speaker 2: role in probably a year. I don't competitively roll. I
- 45:28Speaker 2: have no reason to roll like that anymore. I'm not
- 45:31Speaker 2: training for a fight. Yeah when I roll, like last night,
- 45:34Speaker 2: I was rolling with another black belt, Dennis Sherman. It
- 45:38Speaker 2: was just yeah, we roll. We're not trying to kill
- 45:40Speaker 2: each other, but.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Just just have learned some some skills on how to
- 45:44Speaker 1: defend yourself if you need to.
- 45:46Speaker 2: It's more than that. For him, it would get a
- 45:49Speaker 2: lot of shit out. It brings it's so we spend
- 45:53Speaker 2: a lot of time you you, you, you spend that
- 45:56Speaker 2: time and that is really full of adrenaline and your
- 46:00Speaker 2: body like ah, so you spend a lot of time
- 46:03Speaker 2: chasing that and in the gym. You can kind of
- 46:06Speaker 2: find that with combat sports, like when you get in
- 46:09Speaker 2: a ring and you just you fight yourself so tired
- 46:14Speaker 2: that all you can do is back yourself into the
- 46:16Speaker 2: corner and barely lift your arms to try to protect yourself.
- 46:21Speaker 2: You know, that's probably the closest to adrenaline.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Interesting. You know, I look forward to to chatting with
- 46:30Speaker 1: him and getting to know him more and and maybe
- 46:33Speaker 1: doing something on the air or off the air that
- 46:38Speaker 1: can can really make a difference and help others. I
- 46:41Speaker 1: mean that's the bottom line. Yeah, it's the bottom line.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I think connectivity, connectivity, relatability.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Yeah, absolute man, Sunday, when will when?
- 46:55Speaker 1: What times that start?
- 46:55Speaker 2: Now noon? Me and my daughter do that. My daughter's
- 46:59Speaker 2: so cool.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Donnie B Fight Promotions Facebook page, yeah, what you know,
- 47:03Speaker 1: or the or the website, but.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Facebook page on Facebook YouTube, I always share it onto
- 47:09Speaker 2: the aired out podcast. But you have to get onto
- 47:12Speaker 2: our page and hit that little like button so that
- 47:15Speaker 2: you get the notifications when we're going live. Okay, all right,
- 47:18Speaker 2: so we'll do that. You know what I you know what,
- 47:22Speaker 2: I have my daughter doing with me right now. So
- 47:24Speaker 2: I'm teaching my daughter. We're skim coding inside of this house.
- 47:28Speaker 2: It's all plaster of fun time. So we're level five
- 47:32Speaker 2: skim coating everything. She's my little roller girl and then
- 47:35Speaker 2: I'm going through skimming it. So we're having We're kind
- 47:39Speaker 2: of like because I I I downsize. I had thirteen guys,
- 47:43Speaker 2: and that was the most stressful time in my life ever.
- 47:48Speaker 2: I thought I was gonna die. It was so stressful.
- 47:51Speaker 2: So I've taken up a crew. So I was like, Taylor,
- 47:53Speaker 2: you want to work with me. So she's been working
- 47:56Speaker 2: with me all week. We're gonna go.
- 47:57Speaker 1: You guys fight not at all, not at all.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Actually during work we are okay, no, because I don't
- 48:07Speaker 2: want to get punched in the mouth. Uh, So I'll
- 48:10Speaker 2: find with.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Listen, we only have a few minutes, and I want
- 48:14Speaker 1: to close out by saying this. Six hundred and seventy
- 48:16Speaker 1: thousand furloughed federal government employees began returning to work yesterday.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Congress passed the bill late Wednesday to end the longest
- 48:26Speaker 1: ever government shutdown.
- 48:28Speaker 2: Yep. So but wait a minute, you can't. No, no,
- 48:31Speaker 2: We're not ending this show without talking about the shutdown.
- 48:35Speaker 1: We're going to the shutdown. The shutdown costs the US
- 48:40Speaker 1: economy and estimated sixty thousand private sector jobs and an
- 48:48Speaker 1: estimated fourteen billion dollars per week. That comes down to
- 48:57Speaker 1: eighty four billion dollars in all, eighty four billion dollars.
- 49:04Speaker 2: What do we care? We went a trillion dollars in
- 49:06Speaker 2: debt in seven months. Seven months we added, we added
- 49:11Speaker 2: a trillion dollars. Never in the history have we ever
- 49:15Speaker 2: added that much debt to our economy. We are spending
- 49:19Speaker 2: like idiots. Meanwhile, when did you ever think that our
- 49:22Speaker 2: conservative party in charge is going to spend as much,
- 49:26Speaker 2: if not more money than the Democrats.
- 49:28Speaker 1: We're also spending a lot of money at Starbucks. Roughly
- 49:30Speaker 1: one thousand Starbucks workers began to strike yesterday and this
- 49:34Speaker 1: is very serious, Rex.
- 49:37Speaker 2: No pumpkin Lotte for me. The day, sixty five stores
- 49:41Speaker 2: across more than my thirty six dollars coffee.
- 49:46Speaker 1: They have targeted purposely the Red Cup Day, which is
- 49:51Speaker 1: one of the one of Starbucks' biggest promotional events of
- 49:54Speaker 1: the year when customers get a free reusable cup with
- 49:58Speaker 1: a holiday drink. And now we've got Starbucks employees protesting
- 50:03Speaker 1: that they're they're starting a stress.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Is weird?
- 50:06Speaker 1: What are we gonna what are we gonna do this?
- 50:09Speaker 2: Go across the street to McDonald's and grab a black coffee. Capitalism, Baby,
- 50:16Speaker 2: somebody else will come in, So wait a minute, we
- 50:18Speaker 2: will Epstein? Go ahead? All right, all right? Did you
- 50:21Speaker 2: see the emails?
- 50:22Speaker 1: Of course?
- 50:23Speaker 2: All right? Did you see the one where he talked
- 50:25Speaker 2: about Clinton?
- 50:26Speaker 1: Yes?
- 50:27Speaker 2: What did he say?
- 50:28Speaker 1: Go ahead?
- 50:29Speaker 2: Rack? No? What it is.
- 50:33Speaker 1: That they spent a lot of time together?
- 50:34Speaker 4: No?
- 50:34Speaker 2: No, no, no, no no no. What did he specifically
- 50:37Speaker 2: say about Bubba? Did you read that email that just
- 50:41Speaker 2: came out late last night?
- 50:42Speaker 1: I guess they did.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Oh my god. Okay, So you ever see the picture
- 50:46Speaker 2: of Bill Clinton and he's sitting on his desk and
- 50:49Speaker 2: it says nobody would ever known there's two people here. Well,
- 50:52Speaker 2: now they've changed the meme and it says nobody would
- 50:55Speaker 2: ever know there's two presidents in this picture. So Epstein
- 51:03Speaker 2: is talking with his I think it's his brother. And
- 51:08Speaker 2: because he was blackmailing him all the way.
- 51:10Speaker 1: The hints to Hindustan Times.
- 51:13Speaker 2: No, this is the emails that were released from the estate.
- 51:16Speaker 2: All right, the email chain talking about he tells him
- 51:20Speaker 2: because uh, they found out Epstein was like still trying
- 51:23Speaker 2: to blackmail Trump in two thousand, like twenty eighteen when
- 51:28Speaker 2: he was running. And so one of the things Epstein's
- 51:32Speaker 2: brother says, he goes ask Bootin, yeah, if he still
- 51:35Speaker 2: has the picture of him blown blowing bubbah, my god,
- 51:44Speaker 2: this is blowing up man.
- 51:46Speaker 4: Public by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday contains shocking
- 51:49Speaker 4: exchanges between Epstein, Galline Maxwell, and others, painting a troubling
- 51:54Speaker 4: picture of what may have happened behind closed thoughts. Among
- 51:58Speaker 4: the most striking revelation is an email Epstein sent to
- 52:02Speaker 4: his co conspirator Glain Maxwell back in twenty eleven, where
- 52:06Speaker 4: he wrote, and I quote, I want you to realize
- 52:09Speaker 4: that the dog that hasn't barked is Trump. Epstein went
- 52:13Speaker 4: on to say that one of the young women later
- 52:15Speaker 4: identified by Democrats as a victim spent hours at his
- 52:19Speaker 4: house with Donald Trump. In her reply, Maxwell said that
- 52:23Speaker 4: she had been thinking about that as well. The emails
- 52:26Speaker 4: also revealed that in twenty fifteen, when Trump was seeking
- 52:29Speaker 4: the Republican nomination for the White House. Journalist Michael Wolfe
- 52:33Speaker 4: wrote to Epstein.
- 52:35Speaker 3: I hear CNN is planning to ask Trump tonight about
- 52:38Speaker 3: his relationship with you, either on air or in scrum afterwards.
- 52:44Speaker 1: If we were able to craft an answer for him,
- 52:47Speaker 1: what do you think it should be.
- 52:49Speaker 3: I think you should let him hang himself. If he
- 52:52Speaker 3: says he hasn't been on the plane or to the house,
- 52:55Speaker 3: then that gives you a valuable pr in political currency.
- 53:00Speaker 4: Years later, in twenty nineteen, Epstein reportedly wrote to Wolfe
- 53:04Speaker 4: saying that Trump had asked him to resign from Maro Lago,
- 53:08Speaker 4: although according to Epstein, he was never a member of
- 53:11Speaker 4: the president's exclusive club in Florida. In the same email,
- 53:15Speaker 4: Epstein added that of course Trump knew about the girls,
- 53:18Speaker 4: and even claimed that Trump had once asked Maxwell to stop.
- 53:22Speaker 4: But the emails go beyond accusations. They showed that Epstein's
- 53:26Speaker 4: inner circle continued tracking Trump's movements long after their friendship
- 53:31Speaker 4: reportedly ended. In one message from November twenty sixteen, Epstein's
- 53:36Speaker 4: pilot informed him that Trump was scheduled to depart on
- 53:39Speaker 4: a certain flight. The files also show Epstein's associates regularly
- 53:43Speaker 4: forwarding news stories about Trump, suggesting the disgraced financier kept
- 53:48Speaker 4: a close eye on his one time friend.
- 53:50Speaker 2: All right, okay, so do we do I think we
- 53:55Speaker 2: know why he suicided himself. He had his roommate was
- 54:00Speaker 2: the New York City cop that murdered all them people
- 54:02Speaker 2: and buried him. That one minute, that's gone out of there.
- 54:06Speaker 2: He actually happened to be friends with Trump, that New
- 54:08Speaker 2: York City cop that killed them people. He had. He
- 54:12Speaker 2: had connections with Trump too. But the problem is, I
- 54:17Speaker 2: think that Trump thought that he would make that problem
- 54:19Speaker 2: go away, and it ain't going away because now you
- 54:22Speaker 2: have the estate. So what happened was in November of
- 54:24Speaker 2: twenty twenty three, the estate finally settled. They were still
- 54:29Speaker 2: in litigation. Because everybody's like, well, why didn't they release
- 54:31Speaker 2: the files, Well they couldn't, and the estate was still
- 54:36Speaker 2: in litigation with the victims still November twenty three, So
- 54:42Speaker 2: this is not you didn't even get. Those were just
- 54:45Speaker 2: the beginning emails. You should see the ones that came
- 54:48Speaker 2: out last night. They are so bad. They talk about
- 54:52Speaker 2: him blowing Bubba, they talk about him, the connections with
- 54:58Speaker 2: him and Russia. How putin has dirt on him. Also,
- 55:03Speaker 2: there's a those emails are bad. Those are really really
- 55:06Speaker 2: and now they're gonna now with the vote with that lady.
- 55:11Speaker 1: The house is voting, right, when are they vote?
- 55:14Speaker 2: When?
- 55:14Speaker 1: One of the next week. Okay, that's gonna be a
- 55:18Speaker 1: that's gonna be a big, da big story next week.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:24Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you think they're gonna vote?
- 55:28Speaker 2: Oh? Oh I I they have to put their name
- 55:31Speaker 2: on it, so I'd be pretty hard pressed to say
- 55:34Speaker 2: no at this point. I think, I mean, the only
- 55:38Speaker 2: one that doesn't want it released. It's kinda kind of crazy, yes,
- 55:49Speaker 2: it is.
- 55:50Speaker 1: So listen, buddy, thank you for slipping in here every
- 55:54Speaker 1: Friday and having some fun with me. Conspiracy theories and culture?
- 56:02Speaker 2: What's the conspiracy community? Talk conspiracy theories all the time?
- 56:09Speaker 2: All the time? What yees? Cool?
- 56:15Speaker 1: They are cool, especially you know, Yeah, hey, what are
- 56:21Speaker 1: you doing?
- 56:22Speaker 2: I'm Oh, it's widow's weekend. My wife's in Florida. Se No,
- 56:34Speaker 2: we're not gonna talk about that. Okay, we won't talk
- 56:38Speaker 2: about why Julie is not in Florida. Oh with my
- 56:42Speaker 2: wife already.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Then have a wonderful rest of your day and weekend.
- 56:55Speaker 1: And can we say this what I'm gonna say it.
- 56:58Speaker 2: You say any you want to lose a sponsor over it?
- 57:01Speaker 1: But enjoyed the week No, enjoy the weekend, but be safe.
- 57:07Speaker 1: Don't risk your life for somebody else's this weekend. If
- 57:10Speaker 1: you plan to drink, please don't drive.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Please. Hey, you know what I know?
- 57:16Speaker 1: Did you hear what I just said?
- 57:17Speaker 2: Yeah? I don't drink and drive, dude, I've I've learned
- 57:20Speaker 2: my lesson. It took me a few times, but I
- 57:22Speaker 2: definitely learned my lesson.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Just please, do you know what else?
- 57:25Speaker 2: Let you know. The other lesson I learned is how
- 57:31Speaker 2: beneficial it is to advertise with aired out podcast. We
- 57:35Speaker 2: My daughter came to me the other day because we
- 57:37Speaker 2: were like, hey, donny Brook, we didn't have a ton
- 57:40Speaker 2: of money to advertise with for donny Brook because we're
- 57:43Speaker 2: in the litigation with that other promotion whatever, blah blah blah.
- 57:47Speaker 2: And we walked into that auditorium and it was packed,
- 57:52Speaker 2: and I was like, Taylor, I was like, just we
- 57:55Speaker 2: have an organic We have just this amount of people
- 57:58Speaker 2: that just show up to the show every time. He goes, No,
- 58:00Speaker 2: we don't, she goes. I looked at the analytics, those
- 58:03Speaker 2: people came from aired Out. I was like, are you so,
- 58:08Speaker 2: I'm not going to get into your business on what
- 58:11Speaker 2: it costs to advertise, but for what it cost compared
- 58:16Speaker 2: to what you get. I remember when I first did
- 58:20Speaker 2: my construction company. My construction company is different. We do
- 58:23Speaker 2: big number of kind of things like that. But the
- 58:25Speaker 2: first job, someone called me and they're like, hey, I
- 58:27Speaker 2: saw you on aired Out podcast. I saw some worker
- 58:29Speaker 2: you're doing. Kid, you come do a bid. Dude, is
- 58:32Speaker 2: a twenty thousand dollars job. One job? So how many
- 58:36Speaker 2: years of advertising did that pay for? So I just
- 58:41Speaker 2: thank you, buddy, Yeah, absolutely, thank you man. Thank you
- 58:45Speaker 2: for helping us get the word out locally. That's like
- 58:48Speaker 2: a huge thing. Especially you know, my business is local.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Donnybrook is local, and we spend so much money, and
- 58:55Speaker 2: it's so hard to get the local word out to
- 58:57Speaker 2: the people that are in this area. It's really hard
- 59:01Speaker 2: to get that word out even through print advertising or
- 59:04Speaker 2: expensive TV advertising. Dude, I've done that. Oh we want
- 59:08Speaker 2: thirty adds on the TV. There's eighteen hundred dollars. We'll
- 59:11Speaker 2: probably play a couple of them at three o'clock in
- 59:14Speaker 2: the morning when nobody's up. So it's nice to have
- 59:18Speaker 2: your podcast here locally, to get that shit out beyond
- 59:21Speaker 2: the advertising, because now people know about Donnie Bruk. Yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 2: people know about Barslow Construction.
- 59:29Speaker 1: Well, thank you buddy, and listen. Thanks for tuning in today.
