Speaker 2: All right, welcome in. It's Friday night, Radio Night Live.
• 1:01
Speaker 2: It's time for some fun. So why not Fun Friday?
• 1:04
Speaker 2: We don't really like the name, but it's the best
• 1:06
Speaker 2: we can come up with. So there you go. And
• 1:08
Speaker 2: when I say we, I mean myself and that lady
• 1:10
Speaker 2: right there, Christine Nicholas. Hello, lady.
• 1:12
Speaker 3: Hey, Kevin McCullough. Great to be with you.
• 1:15
Speaker 2: I am looking forward to our first official fall outing
• 1:20
Speaker 2: this weekend with the family. We're probably headed up to
• 1:23
Speaker 2: Pennings to do a little of the apple selections. that
• 1:27
Speaker 2: we do on an annual basis. And I just hope
• 1:30
Speaker 2: it doesn't rain on us. We're supposed to get some rain.
• 1:33
Speaker 2: I don't like picking apples in the rain. I prefer
• 1:36
Speaker 2: it to be sunny.
• 1:38
Speaker 3: It cleans them off. I mean, you can look at
• 1:40
  Speaker 3: it that way.
• 1:41
Speaker 2: Well, we need that because my kids just pick them
• 1:43
Speaker 2: right off the tree and just go to town on them.
• 1:45
Speaker 3: Just wipe them on your jeans, you know, and then
• 1:47
Speaker 3: you just bite. Yeah, all you can eat.
• 1:49
Speaker 2: There's a part of my flannel shirt that's worn through
• 1:53
Speaker 2: from all the apples I've scrubbed.
• 1:55
Speaker 4: I go to Maskers, which is awesome because you can
• 1:57
Speaker 4: actually drive right up to the trees.
• 2:00
Speaker 3: You know, it's so big. It's huge.
• 2:03
Speaker 2: Pennings is pretty close. I mean, they let you park
• 2:06
Speaker 2: in the back where the trees are. But the problem is,
• 2:08
Speaker 2: is they have so many different varieties. It's like if
• 2:12
Speaker 2: you and you can get all the ones that you want,
• 2:15
Speaker 2: but there's just a lot of them. So getting to
• 2:17
Speaker 2: their section and getting to the right trees and so forth.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: What's your favorite variety, Kevin?
• 2:23
Speaker 4: Are you a delicious guy, Macintosh, Gala?
• 2:26
Speaker 2: What do you like? I think for the most part
• 2:28
Speaker 2: year round, I prefer the Granny Smiths. But when we
• 2:32
Speaker 2: do the fall apple selections, I think Honeycrisps are the
• 2:35
Speaker 2: way to go. And whatever we get, my bride always
• 2:42
Speaker 2: turns them into the most incredible tapestry of yummies. So
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: it's There'll be a tart. There'll be a pie. There'll
• 2:52
Speaker 2: be a variety of other things that she'll make out
• 2:55
Speaker 2: of them. And that's why we go and do it. Look,
• 2:58
Speaker 2: I could just go to the store and get a
• 3:00
Speaker 2: bag of $ 5 apples. It's not a big deal. Why
• 3:03
Speaker 2: do I want to pay $ 50 for a bag that
• 3:06
Speaker 2: I have to go pick myself? Well, the answer is
• 3:08
Speaker 2: what they turn into. And you can't get that just everywhere.
• 3:11
  Speaker 2: So it's a good thing.
• 3:12
Speaker 4: So will Amy be featuring her apple recipes on, say, Seabone?
• 3:17
Speaker 2: I would imagine that that's a possibility. Are you requesting that?
• 3:21
  Speaker 5: I am.
• 3:21
  Speaker 3: I am.
• 3:22
Speaker 4: Because I did learn, and I may have been from Amy,
• 3:25
Speaker 4: that the best apple to use for apple pie or
• 3:28
Speaker 4: for baking is the Granny Smith.
• 3:30
  Speaker 3: Right?
• 3:30
Speaker 4: Because it's kind of that tartness and it kind of holds...
• 3:35
Speaker 4: that crunch a little bit. If you like that, you
• 3:37
  Speaker 4: don't want it.
• 3:37
Speaker 2: I think it's the crunchiest and it's also the most
• 3:40
Speaker 2: nutrient dense. So it's like the healthiest apple too, but yeah. No,
• 3:46
Speaker 2: I will tell her. She's always loving ideas from readers
• 3:49
Speaker 2: and saying, hey, what do you want to know about?
• 3:51
Speaker 2: And she's got plenty of Apple goodies to pass on,
• 3:54
Speaker 2: so we'll see if she can't work it out.
• 3:55
Speaker 3: All right, well, please thank her in advance.
• 3:56
Speaker 4: I'm looking forward to that. And, you know, you're heading north,
• 4:00
Speaker 4: so while you're heading north.
• 4:02
Speaker 2: Your place at Maskers, that's right down the street from Pennings,
• 4:05
Speaker 2: isn't it? They're pretty close to each other.
• 4:06
  Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Maskers.
• 4:09
Speaker 3: Outhouse orchards, Harvest Moon, Oaks Orchard.
• 4:13
Speaker 4: You've got a whole bunch of them right in the
• 4:14
Speaker 4: Hudson Valley, like the lower Hudson Valley. So they're on
• 4:17
Speaker 4: that Rockland sort of Westchester.
• 4:21
Speaker 3: They're not far. Fish Kills Farm, I think, might be
• 4:24
Speaker 3: a little bit further up.
• 4:26
  Speaker 5: I don't know.
• 4:27
Speaker 2: Pennings has gone to some effort in recent years to
• 4:31
Speaker 2: expand its entertainment area. So it's got a whole hillside
• 4:34
Speaker 2: that people can come and picnic and but they've got
• 4:38
Speaker 2: food trucks and they do, you know, Stonehearth pizzas there
• 4:41
Speaker 2: on the site. And then the cider. Oh man, the cider.
• 4:45
Speaker 3: I love the donuts too.
• 4:47
Speaker 2: And the donuts. Oh, my, my Jonathan is like donut
• 4:50
Speaker 2: King and he just can't.
• 4:52
Speaker 4: Wait until we, I'm not a donut person. Like I,
• 4:55
Speaker 4: I'm just, I would never really go to Duncan donuts
• 4:58
Speaker 4: for a donut or I'm donut.
• 4:59
  Speaker 3: I get it.
• 5:00
Speaker 4: It's fun, but I can't pass up an apple cider
• 5:03
Speaker 4: donut on a harvest, you know, like at a, stand
• 5:07
Speaker 4: in October. It's just something about it. It just tastes
• 5:11
Speaker 4: so good and fresh.
• 5:12
Speaker 2: Do you wear your red flannel and your boots?
• 5:15
Speaker 3: Of course I do. I get into it.
• 5:18
Speaker 4: We hope to go this weekend, if not next. The
• 5:21
Speaker 4: twins are coming home for October break. So we're excited
• 5:25
Speaker 4: about that. So we're going to try and hit the
• 5:26
Speaker 4: Lantern Festival, Autumn Glow in New Rochelle, because that's close.
• 5:31
Speaker 3: By, and maybe do some apple picking. I'm really excited
• 5:34
  Speaker 3: that they're home.
• 5:35
Speaker 2: So we're trying to do the apple picking on Sunday,
• 5:37
Speaker 2: but tomorrow we're going to see Luminescence. And I know
• 5:41
Speaker 2: you got to go last week.
• 5:42
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 5:43
Speaker 2: What did you think?
• 5:44
Speaker 3: Well, I loved it.
• 5:45
Speaker 2: Was it as all-encompassing as it sounds?
• 5:51
Speaker 4: Well, you have to experience for yourself and then we can.
• 5:54
Speaker 4: I'd love your feedback. I what I love about it.
• 5:56
Speaker 3: Look, I am I am Catholic and St.
• 5:59
Speaker 4: Patrick's Cathedral just has sort of this very special, important.
• 6:04
Speaker 3: Piece for me in my life.
• 6:05
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 6:07
Speaker 3: Also, my mother was Irish.
• 6:09
Speaker 4: So this is just like this pride that they had,
• 6:12
Speaker 4: that they have the largest cathedral in And it's just,
• 6:15
  Speaker 4: it's gorgeous.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: This is why you and I are friends. It's not
• 6:17
Speaker 2: the Greek or the Italian. Your mom was Irish.
• 6:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, she was. And she was, I'll never forget taking her.
• 6:25
Speaker 4: To Midnight Mass one year when I worked in the
• 6:28
Speaker 4: mayor's office and we were able to do that. And
• 6:30
Speaker 4: that was just a dream come true for her because
• 6:32
Speaker 4: she was, you know, it's a ticketed event. It's not
• 6:36
Speaker 4: really easy to get into. And we were able to
• 6:39
Speaker 4: do that for her and she loved it. But To
• 6:41
Speaker 4: be able to sit in St. Patrick's Cathedral on an
• 6:44
Speaker 4: evening and be able to watch and hear the music
• 6:49
Speaker 4: and watch the lighting and the storytelling. The music, it
• 6:54
Speaker 4: was live and it's a full orchestra and a choral.
• 6:57
Speaker 3: I mean, it is just spectacular.
• 7:00
Speaker 4: And there are also pieces of music that you're definitely
• 7:04
  Speaker 4: aware of.
• 7:05
  Speaker 3: You've heard them.
• 7:05
Speaker 4: There's Gershwin, there's Bach, Mozart. you know, it's things that,
• 7:10
Speaker 4: you know, I'm getting the chills.
• 7:12
Speaker 2: It's just making me even more excited about it. How
• 7:15
Speaker 2: big is the choir? How many, how many voices in
• 7:17
Speaker 2: the choir you think?
• 7:18
Speaker 3: Oh, I have to.
• 7:19
Speaker 4: Say there's probably 30 or more, but it might be
• 7:23
Speaker 4: more because as we were told, the best place to
• 7:26
Speaker 4: sit is in the, in the front, well, in the
• 7:28
Speaker 4: back of the church, like meaning when you, right when
• 7:31
Speaker 4: you enter the church.
• 7:32
Speaker 3: So you're, you can see more of, of.
• 7:36
Speaker 2: The walls in the ceiling or the, in essence, the screen.
• 7:39
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 7:40
Speaker 4: So I couldn't really see that there was a harpist
• 7:42
Speaker 4: when we came in, you know, just a soloist. And
• 7:46
Speaker 4: then the full orchestra kicked in, you know, when the
• 7:50
Speaker 4: show started, you're going.
• 7:51
Speaker 3: To, you know, it's, it's great. It's great.
• 7:54
Speaker 2: I think it's going to be fantastic. And Jonathan Rumi
• 7:58
Speaker 2: does the narration that people will know him as Jesus
• 8:01
Speaker 2: and He's the guy that does Jesus and the Chosen. But,
• 8:04
Speaker 2: you know, he's going to be at Carnegie Hall four
• 8:07
Speaker 2: weeks later with a guy by the name of Matt
• 8:10
Speaker 2: Marr doing a Christmas concert on November the 29th. So
• 8:14
Speaker 2: if you want to see Jesus, there's lots of opportunities.
• 8:18
Speaker 2: Or at least hear from him in this. Yeah, so
• 8:22
Speaker 2: we're going to do that, I think, tomorrow. And then
• 8:24
Speaker 2: we're going to do the apple picking on Sunday. But
• 8:28
Speaker 2: coming up. We got a show that is all about
• 8:32
Speaker 2: all the things that you need to do this fall,
• 8:35
Speaker 2: including the spooky and spectacular and the funny and the fun.
• 8:39
Speaker 2: And we've got some great guests. Why don't you give
• 8:41
Speaker 2: us a preview, Christina?
• 8:42
Speaker 4: Well, we're going to talk about and welcome back Greg
• 8:45
Speaker 4: Charles from the New York Comedy Festival, which is Always
• 8:50
Speaker 4: fun this time of year. It starts November 6th. And
• 8:53
Speaker 4: then we'll welcome back Natasha Caputo, who is the director
• 8:57
Speaker 4: of tourism and film for Westchester County and formerly the
• 9:01
Speaker 4: head of the Hudson Valley area tourism. So she can
• 9:05
Speaker 4: tell us about what's going on. You know, with the
• 9:08
Speaker 4: Halloween stuff, the Blaze, Sleepy Hollow, the Lantern Festivals.
• 9:13
Speaker 3: And they've got a lot more. It just keeps growing
• 9:16
Speaker 3: and growing. My partner, George, lives in Sleepy Hollow. So
• 9:19
Speaker 3: this is the time of year that, you know, he
• 9:22
Speaker 3: has more visitors than he could ever imagine.
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
• 9:24
Speaker 2: He said we could park on his lawn. I forgot
• 9:27
  Speaker 2: about that.
• 9:27
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 9:28
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 9:28
Speaker 3: If you need a parking spot, he's on Hemlock. A.B.,
• 9:31
Speaker 3: should we give the address? No, I'm kidding.
• 9:33
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 9:34
Speaker 2: All right. Let's take a break and come back. Please
• 9:37
Speaker 2: don't park on George's lawn. We're coming right back.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Don't go away. From New York, it's Radio Night Live
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: with Kevin McCullough.
• 9:52
Speaker 2: Welcome back. It is Friday. There she is. Aperol Spritz
• 9:56
Speaker 2: in hand. You know, you're not supposed to drink Aperol Spritz.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: It's after Labor Day. It's like wearing white. It's not
• 10:02
Speaker 2: the right thing. I've got to get you on Negroni's
• 10:05
  Speaker 2: because that's a good year-round option.
• 10:07
  Speaker 6: Nope.
• 10:07
Speaker 3: Not going to happen. Sorry. Manhattan's Negroni's. I'll just go
• 10:12
Speaker 3: to Malbec. I'll go to my Reds.
• 10:13
Speaker 2: There you go. Yeah, it's time to get the Reds out. Well,
• 10:16
Speaker 2: it's also time to talk comedy because this is a
• 10:19
Speaker 2: time of year in which we need some laughter. Because
• 10:22
Speaker 2: the weather's not always going to be great. And as
• 10:24
Speaker 2: we get through these, grind through these next few months
• 10:26
Speaker 2: and years, you know, it'll seem like a few years
• 10:28
Speaker 2: by the time spring rolls back around. But comedy festivals
• 10:31
Speaker 2: around the corner. Please introduce our very special guest.
• 10:35
Speaker 4: Our special guest and good friend, because this is now
• 10:38
Speaker 4: his fifth time on Radio Night Live.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: He gets a jacket.
• 10:41
Speaker 3: I know you get the green jacket now. Maybe the
• 10:45
Speaker 3: dunce cap. I don't know. Welcome back to Radio Night Live.
• 10:48
Speaker 7: And I'm probably more deserving of the dunce cap.
• 10:50
Speaker 3: So it's just easier to get.
• 10:53
Speaker 2: I mean, you know, and I should know because I
• 10:56
Speaker 2: had plenty of them.
• 10:57
Speaker 7: So, well, thank you for having me back. Good evening.
• 11:00
Speaker 7: It's nice to see both of you again.
• 11:01
  Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you.
• 11:02
Speaker 4: Look, I mean, this is the time of year that
• 11:04
Speaker 4: we always look forward to what Caroline and Andrew put together,
• 11:08
Speaker 4: you know, some 20 odd years ago. I mean, this
• 11:11
Speaker 4: is a very big benchmark this year. And I see
• 11:15
Speaker 4: you've got an amazing lineup starting on Friday, November 6th.
• 11:19
Speaker 4: I'll let you walk through. Yeah.
• 11:22
Speaker 8: So, again, of course, hats off to Caroline Hirsch and
• 11:25
Speaker 8: Andrew Fox for creating the New York Comedy Festival, which
• 11:29
Speaker 8: we're now in our 22nd year. It has grown to
• 11:32
Speaker 8: become the largest, longest running annual comedy festival in the country.
• 11:38
  Speaker 2: And we're thrilled.
• 11:38
Speaker 8: It's going to be 10 days of nonstop laughs. It's
• 11:40
Speaker 8: November 6th through the 15th. And on a personal note,
• 11:44
Speaker 8: I am so excited about kicking this festival off with.
• 11:48
  Speaker 7: Dave Chappelle.
• 11:48
Speaker 8: He's one of my favorite comedians for a long time.
• 11:51
Speaker 8: He's doing two nights already sold out Madison Square Garden
• 11:55
Speaker 8: Friday and Saturday. So that's a really great way to
• 11:58
Speaker 8: kick off the festival. So we're all looking forward to that.
• 12:01
Speaker 7: But we have some great headliners.
• 12:03
Speaker 8: And, you know, as you know, we have it's 10 days.
• 12:06
Speaker 8: It's we're in all five boroughs. It's more than 100 comedians.
• 12:09
  Speaker 8: It's 200 shows. So we're going to have a lot
• 12:13
  Speaker 8: of fun.
• 12:13
Speaker 3: To all the boroughs.
• 12:14
Speaker 4: I think that's just absolutely phenomenal. A lot of smaller
• 12:17
Speaker 4: places get a chance to be part of a big festival.
• 12:20
Speaker 4: So it helps put.
• 12:21
Speaker 3: Them on the map.
• 12:22
Speaker 4: And Caroline has always been a huge supporter of tourism, too,
• 12:26
Speaker 4: and understands the value of spreading this all out.
• 12:29
Speaker 3: But where is the main headquarters? Are you still... With
• 12:35
Speaker 3: like a midtown location?
• 12:37
Speaker 7: In terms, well, the hub, our host is the Hard
• 12:40
  Speaker 7: Rock Hotel.
• 12:42
  Speaker 1: Very good.
• 12:43
Speaker 7: Where we do, you know, we're there for the whole
• 12:45
  Speaker 7: 10 day run.
• 12:45
Speaker 8: They have this beautiful performance space called the venue on
• 12:48
Speaker 8: what used to be Music Row, where the hotel is.
• 12:51
Speaker 8: And we have shows there throughout the run of the festival.
• 12:54
Speaker 8: Some really exciting stuff happening there. We're going to have
• 12:57
Speaker 8: some podcasts and some stand up and a couple of
• 13:00
Speaker 8: film screenings, panel discussions.
• 13:02
Speaker 7: It's going to be a lot of fun.
• 13:04
Speaker 8: That's what's great about the festival, I think, is that
• 13:06
Speaker 8: we have such diverse programming.
• 13:08
Speaker 7: There's something for everybody. It's not just, you know, stand
• 13:11
  Speaker 7: up comedy.
• 13:12
Speaker 8: It's again, it's these panel discussions about the industry and
• 13:17
Speaker 8: and film screenings and premieres.
• 13:19
Speaker 7: And we have improv.
• 13:21
Speaker 8: There's a great improv group called the Dropout Improv, and
• 13:24
Speaker 8: they're going to be at the King's Theater in Brooklyn.
• 13:26
Speaker 8: So it's not just stand up. It's a lot of
• 13:27
Speaker 8: different things. There's there's something for everybody.
• 13:31
  Speaker 2: You have Muppets.
• 13:33
Speaker 7: You know, that's the one thing we lack.
• 13:35
Speaker 2: I was just wondering because Brian Henson, Jim's son, was
• 13:39
Speaker 2: here last week at the Tribeca PAC. And I've never
• 13:45
Speaker 2: seen his show, but it's improv combined with puppetry. And
• 13:51
Speaker 2: it was it was a it was a rather remarkable evening. But, yeah. So,
• 13:56
Speaker 2: you know, maybe maybe maybe Muppets in the future.
• 13:59
Speaker 7: I was going to say, Kevin, that's a great idea
• 14:00
  Speaker 7: for 20.
• 14:01
Speaker 4: And Greg, since you've done some voiceovers and you're you know,
• 14:04
Speaker 4: you could probably fill in.
• 14:05
Speaker 3: You just go get them. Just go get a puppet.
• 14:08
Speaker 7: Yeah, sure. See who I am.
• 14:10
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 14:10
Speaker 3: Well, my favorite is the the insult comic dog.
• 14:14
  Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 14:16
  Speaker 3: Triumph. Love Triumph.
• 14:18
Speaker 7: Yeah, he's still around.
• 14:19
Speaker 2: Our audience is made up of all kinds of people.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: What percentage of the festival would there be that you
• 14:25
Speaker 2: could say is family safe? And by that, I'm talking
• 14:29
Speaker 2: like kids younger than 16 could go and feel. Is
• 14:34
Speaker 2: there anything for families as a whole, or is 90%
• 14:38
Speaker 2: of it all going to be PG-13?
• 14:40
  Speaker 4: Adult.
• 14:41
Speaker 8: I would say the vast majority of it is adult.
• 14:45
Speaker 8: Probably that's probably a safe percentage to say that 90
• 14:48
Speaker 8: percent is adult. And when I say adult, I don't mean,
• 14:52
Speaker 8: you know, Andrew Dice Clay.
• 14:54
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 14:54
Speaker 8: But, you know, it's especially because I think, you know,
• 14:57
Speaker 8: we're we're having the festivalist here. It falls right after
• 15:00
Speaker 8: the midterm. So I'm sure there's going to be a
• 15:02
Speaker 8: lot of political humor. And, you know, certainly there's that.
• 15:08
Speaker 8: Always prepare yourself for salty language.
• 15:11
  Speaker 7: You know what?
• 15:13
Speaker 4: They do have Kevin, which always kicks off the festival.
• 15:16
Speaker 4: And although it's sold out, but Stand Up for Heroes.
• 15:19
  Speaker 2: Is certainly family.
• 15:21
Speaker 3: Friendly because it does honor the military.
• 15:25
Speaker 4: And there's a lot of videos that encompass the military.
• 15:30
Speaker 3: And, you know, they're out there. They really deserve the
• 15:33
  Speaker 3: credit and.
• 15:34
Speaker 4: The thanks for being out there on the front line.
• 15:36
Speaker 4: And can you talk a little bit about what you've
• 15:39
Speaker 4: got in store? And again, I know it's sold out,
• 15:41
Speaker 4: but you probably could get some tickets.
• 15:43
Speaker 3: You know how things are.
• 15:43
  Speaker 7: There's always a way. There's always a way.
• 15:46
Speaker 4: And also plan for next year if families want to go. Sure.
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 15:51
Speaker 8: So Stand Up for Heroes is like one of our
• 15:53
Speaker 8: signature events, which it's actually celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
• 15:59
Speaker 8: And it's a benefit for the Bob Woodruff Foundation. Caroline
• 16:02
Speaker 8: and Andrew created this with Bob and Lee Woodruff. And
• 16:05
Speaker 8: it's just such an incredible organization and such a beautiful event.
• 16:11
Speaker 7: It's not just comedy. It's also we have some great musicians.
• 16:13
Speaker 8: It's the comedy is going to be Jon Stewart and
• 16:16
Speaker 8: Josh Johnson from The Daily Show. Very funny guy, Hasan Minhaj,
• 16:20
Speaker 8: is going to be on the lineup. And we have
• 16:22
Speaker 8: Bruce Springsteen, Alex Warren. And then there's this Amazing military band,
• 16:29
Speaker 8: which I would urge your listeners to check out. It's
• 16:31
Speaker 8: called The Resilient. It's made up of military veterans. They'll
• 16:35
Speaker 8: be performing as well. So again, it is sold out.
• 16:39
  Speaker 8: I'm sure there's a way to find tickets. It's going
• 16:41
Speaker 8: to be at the.
• 16:43
Speaker 7: David Geffen Hall. David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center. Thank you.
• 16:46
  Speaker 8: To date, we've raised $ 117 million.
• 16:49
  Speaker 2: Wow.
• 16:51
  Speaker 7: Very worthwhile event.
• 16:53
  Speaker 3: That's fantastic.
• 16:54
Speaker 2: And just give listeners that haven't heard about it before...
• 16:57
Speaker 2: The the impetus for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, its connection
• 17:02
  Speaker 2: to the military.
• 17:04
Speaker 8: Well, Bob was had a traumatic brain injury. He was
• 17:08
Speaker 8: covering the Iraq war.
• 17:10
Speaker 2: He was on he was in the he was on
• 17:13
Speaker 2: on duty embedded and he suffered the injury.
• 17:16
Speaker 8: Yeah, I think he was traveling with with he was
• 17:20
Speaker 8: in a military vehicle and it.
• 17:22
  Speaker 7: Hit a landmine.
• 17:23
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 17:24
Speaker 3: Covering it for ABC.
• 17:25
Speaker 7: And he, I don't, you know, there, there were, I
• 17:27
Speaker 7: think it was touch and go for a long time.
• 17:29
Speaker 8: Um, but they finally got him home and, um, you know, he,
• 17:32
Speaker 8: he looks great now.
• 17:34
  Speaker 7: Wonderful.
• 17:35
Speaker 8: Um, you know, I think that was kind of the impetus.
• 17:38
Speaker 8: He got together with Caroline and Andrew and what can
• 17:41
Speaker 8: we do? And they came up with stand up for
• 17:43
Speaker 8: heroes and the rest is history.
• 17:45
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 17:46
Speaker 2: And it's been a great cause ever since I've had
• 17:48
Speaker 2: the privilege of getting being able to be there and
• 17:51
Speaker 2: I really concur with everything that you said all right
• 17:53
Speaker 2: more info nycomedyfestival.com that's a mouthful nycomedyfestival all three words
• 18:00
Speaker 2: smooshed together dot com and again from November 6th through
• 18:04
Speaker 2: the 15th is when it all runs and the stand
• 18:07
Speaker 2: up for heroes date is on the 9th at 8pm
• 18:10
Speaker 2: at David Geffen Hall Greg Charles, thanks for stopping by.
• 18:13
  Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
• 18:13
Speaker 7: Thank you for having me.
• 18:14
Speaker 8: It's always a pleasure. Have a great weekend. And if
• 18:17
Speaker 8: you want to come to the festival, you just let
• 18:18
Speaker 8: me know. You know where to find me.
• 18:19
  Speaker 3: Oh, thanks, Greg.
• 18:20
Speaker 7: I'll be the guy with the dunce cap on.
• 18:22
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 18:23
Speaker 2: I'll bring a few of mine, and we'll all feel
• 18:25
  Speaker 2: right in place.
• 18:25
  Speaker 7: I won't feel so alone.
• 18:26
Speaker 2: There you go. Coming right back, it's Radio Night Live.
• 18:29
  Speaker 7: Thank you.
• 18:35
Speaker 1: And now, from New York, back to Radio Night Live,
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: here's Kevin McCullough.
• 18:40
Speaker 2: Welcome back. It is not just a night of fun
• 18:43
Speaker 2: and laughter, but also spookiness. Christine, Nicholas, and Kevin McCullough,
• 18:50
Speaker 2: glad to be with you. I don't know about you, Christine.
• 18:53
Speaker 2: I'm just going to be flat. I think I say
• 18:55
Speaker 2: this every year. Halloween's not my favorite holiday. I'm much
• 18:58
Speaker 2: more of a Thanksgiving and Christmas guy. I love that
• 19:01
Speaker 2: end of it. But my kids, something's wrong with them.
• 19:04
Speaker 2: Their DNA, I don't know where it came from. Because
• 19:06
  Speaker 2: they are.
• 19:07
  Speaker 7: Like, Halloween!
• 19:08
  Speaker 4: It is awesome!
• 19:09
Speaker 2: And I think it's mostly just the candy. But for
• 19:13
Speaker 2: whatever it is, they love it so much more than me.
• 19:16
Speaker 2: So I've had to, you know, expand my holiday palette.
• 19:21
Speaker 2: And last year, going to the Great Jack-o'-lantern Blaze was
• 19:25
Speaker 2: a wonderful supplement to their And now we get to
• 19:28
Speaker 2: talk about it again with our good friend. I'll let
• 19:30
Speaker 2: you do the intro, but good to see Natasha back
• 19:33
  Speaker 2: with you.
• 19:33
Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, Kevin, take a cue from the kids. Always
• 19:36
Speaker 4: follow the kids. They know what they're doing. And Halloween
• 19:38
Speaker 4: is a lot of fun. And I'm with you, though.
• 19:40
Speaker 4: Before kids, I wasn't such a big fan of Halloween.
• 19:43
Speaker 4: But now it brings the child out in all of us.
• 19:47
Speaker 4: And speaking of a wonderful broadcast. to Radio Night Live
• 19:52
Speaker 4: and also Nicholas and Lentz Communications is Natasha Caputo, who
• 19:55
Speaker 4: is the director of the Westchester County Tourism and Film Office.
• 19:59
Speaker 2: This is also her fifth time being with us.
• 20:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, there you go.
• 20:02
Speaker 2: Where's her jacket? She needs a jacket.
• 20:03
Speaker 4: Well, we're giving out caps instead for the fifth because, yeah,
• 20:07
Speaker 4: the jackets were just, we didn't have the budget for
• 20:09
Speaker 4: the jackets and whatnot. And, you know, with Halloween, maybe
• 20:12
Speaker 4: I can give you like a witch's cap, like one
• 20:14
Speaker 4: of those big ones. Natasha, you're always welcome here, but
• 20:18
Speaker 4: especially this time of year because up in Westchester, which
• 20:21
Speaker 4: is the... the gateway to the Hudson Valley, which is
• 20:25
Speaker 4: where Halloween sort of is a big deal, especially Sleepy Hollow.
• 20:30
Speaker 4: What you got going on, Natasha?
• 20:33
  Speaker 6: Well, thank you.
• 20:33
Speaker 5: And I'm excited. I didn't know it was my fifth
• 20:36
Speaker 5: year anniversary. So good reason to celebrate and join you
• 20:41
Speaker 5: all to talk about Halloween and all things fall and
• 20:44
Speaker 5: what's happening in Westchester as far as So we will start.
• 20:48
Speaker 6: Halloween in Sleepy Hollow.
• 20:49
Speaker 5: Country is growing and getting bigger and bigger. So, Kevin,
• 20:53
Speaker 5: you must come back because there is a new village
• 20:57
Speaker 5: suite provision shop right in Sleepy Hollow and right on
• 21:03
Speaker 5: that main street. So I think, you know, what is happening,
• 21:06
Speaker 5: which is really fantastic for our visitors, is that Beekman
• 21:10
Speaker 5: Avenue in Sleepy Hollow.
• 21:11
Speaker 6: In Tarrytown, you know, it's really now.
• 21:14
Speaker 5: It's changing and the decorations and the events taking place. So,
• 21:19
Speaker 5: you know, we certainly have the great jack-o'-lantern blaze that
• 21:22
Speaker 5: is thousands of these illuminated pumpkins and displays and always
• 21:26
Speaker 5: new displays. But now, you know, to add it, we
• 21:29
Speaker 5: have a twilight village at Sleepy Hollow, which is a
• 21:34
Speaker 5: lot of fun and.
• 21:35
  Speaker 6: It's storytelling tellers.
• 21:37
Speaker 5: And there's a roving brass band throughout the property with
• 21:41
Speaker 5: iconic legends and folktales. There's new exhibits, and it's more
• 21:46
Speaker 5: of like an interactive, immersive opportunity for the Headless Horseman
• 21:50
  Speaker 5: Files at Sunnyside.
• 21:52
Speaker 6: So it really has a lot going on. We have some.
• 21:56
Speaker 5: Edgar Allan Poe readings with sip and sip and some treats.
• 22:01
Speaker 6: That are going through it.
• 22:02
Speaker 5: And this has all really been a big production and
• 22:06
Speaker 5: enhancement of our iconic historic Hudson Valley destination.
• 22:10
Speaker 6: Managed the properties. They built out these programmings.
• 22:13
Speaker 5: And that is really appealing and drawing. I mean, Westchester County,
• 22:17
Speaker 5: our visitor spending has increased 6%, $ 5.
• 22:21
Speaker 6: Billion that are going in. And that really.
• 22:23
Speaker 5: Shows the strength in the increase of our leisure travelers
• 22:26
Speaker 5: and our folks coming in throughout the region. New events
• 22:30
Speaker 5: like the Autumn Glow Festival now taking place in New Rochelle.
• 22:33
Speaker 6: At Glen and Ithart.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: We talked to them last week.
• 22:35
Speaker 6: It really expanded our season.
• 22:37
Speaker 2: What style of music are they playing? Is it like
• 22:39
  Speaker 2: New Orleans jazz?
• 22:41
Speaker 5: You know, I think their idea is really to add
• 22:43
Speaker 5: to the storytelling as far as the background. So the
• 22:46
Speaker 5: idea is that you're walking the property of, you know,
• 22:50
Speaker 5: Phillipsburg and that area. And then as the storytellers and
• 22:54
Speaker 5: these professional actors come out, you will have that music
• 22:57
Speaker 5: that follows you along through the maze. And I won't
• 23:00
Speaker 5: call it really a maze, but really more of like the.
• 23:02
  Speaker 6: Journey of being.
• 23:04
Speaker 2: Well, I'm a tune nerd, so I always want to
• 23:05
Speaker 2: know what the music's like. So forgive me for putting
• 23:08
Speaker 2: you on the spot.
• 23:09
  Speaker 6: No, I think that's a great question.
• 23:10
Speaker 5: I'll be honest, that's the first time I'm actually going
• 23:12
Speaker 5: to see if I can get you the name.
• 23:14
  Speaker 6: I don't know if it's a name band or just
• 23:16
  Speaker 6: a selection.
• 23:16
  Speaker 7: That's a great question.
• 23:17
Speaker 4: I noticed you added the Gourd and Goblet Tavern in.
• 23:22
Speaker 4: A historic 18th century inn, a perfect spot to gather
• 23:25
Speaker 4: with friends and family to toast the season and savor
• 23:28
Speaker 4: local beer and wine.
• 23:29
Speaker 3: Okay, now Kevin's paying attention.
• 23:31
Speaker 4: Seasonal bites and old-fashioned tavern games in a cozy setting.
• 23:36
Speaker 3: That sounds like a lot of fun.
• 23:37
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, this whole idea is to create the
• 23:40
Speaker 5: memories and have that repeat visit. We're seeing a lot
• 23:43
Speaker 5: of groups, a lot of intergenerational visitors and families making
• 23:48
Speaker 5: it into an annual tradition to make sure to visit
• 23:52
Speaker 5: Sleepy Hollow. And then the other immersive experience that I
• 23:56
Speaker 5: think is really fun, we are welcoming back the Harry
• 24:00
Speaker 5: Potter Forbidden Forest experience at FDR Park.
• 24:05
  Speaker 6: In Yorktown Heights.
• 24:06
Speaker 5: And that starts October 16th and we'll run through right
• 24:10
Speaker 5: after new year's and they will be changing that setup.
• 24:14
Speaker 5: So we'll have, you know, this fall Halloween and go
• 24:17
Speaker 5: right into, um, the holiday spirit in.
• 24:21
Speaker 6: This Harry Potter and that, um.
• 24:24
Speaker 5: You know, making it as far as, um, the last
• 24:28
Speaker 5: time they were here in Westchester was in 2022.
• 24:30
Speaker 6: Um, And this is, you know, it goes over 90
• 24:35
Speaker 6: plus different days. It is a time ticketed.
• 24:39
Speaker 5: We're really excited about welcoming these new.
• 24:43
  Speaker 6: Bigger events.
• 24:44
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 24:44
Speaker 2: Let's take a quick break and find out more about
• 24:46
Speaker 2: what's going on in the Westchester region. And we'll give
• 24:49
Speaker 2: you websites for where you can get all the info.
• 24:51
  Speaker 2: Stay with us.
• 24:58
Speaker 6: What a little moonlight can do.
• 25:00
Speaker 1: It's Radio Night Live. Here's Kevin McCullough.
• 25:05
Speaker 2: Welcome back. We are just having a great celebration tonight.
• 25:08
Speaker 2: A lot of laughs, a little spookiness. We're even going
• 25:11
Speaker 2: to get some patriotism going. Natasha, you've got stuff going on.
• 25:15
Speaker 2: As America 250 is carrying on through the year. In fact,
• 25:19
Speaker 2: we didn't even win the war for eight years. So
• 25:20
Speaker 2: what do we just declare? Do we celebrate it for
• 25:23
  Speaker 2: eight years? I mean, why not? I mean, it's 250.
• 25:25
Speaker 2: It's worth celebrating. But you've got some fun fall stuff
• 25:28
Speaker 2: along those lines, too.
• 25:30
Speaker 6: Yes. Thank you for bringing it up.
• 25:31
Speaker 5: Yes. The America 250 continues here in Westchester County. Later
• 25:37
Speaker 5: this month, we will be producing and kind of bringing
• 25:40
Speaker 5: what I'm calling the largest reenactment of the Battle of
• 25:44
Speaker 5: White Plains with RevFest 250th.
• 25:47
Speaker 6: It's going to be bringing.
• 25:49
Speaker 5: Over 750 reenactors from the Brigade of the American Revolution
• 25:56
Speaker 5: over the course of the weekend, October 24th and 25th
• 25:58
Speaker 5: at Ward Pound Ridge.
• 26:03
  Speaker 6: From 10 to 5. It's going to have day-long programming.
• 26:06
Speaker 5: So we'll start with about 20 to 25 of our partners.
• 26:11
Speaker 6: Throughout, our historical sites, some of our museums. And then
• 26:15
  Speaker 6: you can walk.
• 26:15
Speaker 5: Down the path and enjoy the meadows at Warwick-Hound Ridge,
• 26:18
Speaker 5: which is the largest park, the county park, here in
• 26:24
Speaker 5: the northern tip of Westchester.
• 26:26
  Speaker 6: Onto a stage, we'll have Hamilton sing-alongs.
• 26:29
Speaker 5: We are going to be welcoming the West Point Benny
• 26:33
Speaker 5: Hayden's band, and they will be joining us.
• 26:36
Speaker 6: We'll have bugle, fife, and drums. And then you will
• 26:40
Speaker 6: also have two major.
• 26:41
Speaker 5: Encampments, the British encampment and the Continental Army encampment. And
• 26:47
Speaker 5: living history, reenactors or living history folks that will be
• 26:53
Speaker 5: kind of talking about our 250th history, but also then
• 26:59
Speaker 5: kind of just doing some skirmishes, some artillery, some musket
• 27:03
Speaker 5: demonstrations that take place as well. And at 2.45 each day,
• 27:09
Speaker 5: we'll begin with the sound off of the Battle of
• 27:13
  Speaker 5: White Plains.
• 27:14
Speaker 2: Now, the Battle of White Plains, correct me if I'm wrong,
• 27:18
Speaker 2: but that's immediately following the evacuation from Brooklyn. And as
• 27:22
Speaker 2: they were coming across, they got into Manhattan and they
• 27:25
Speaker 2: were trying to head up upstate. And this is where
• 27:28
Speaker 2: that battle took place.
• 27:30
  Speaker 6: Right.
• 27:30
Speaker 5: Unfortunately, we can't have it in the city of White
• 27:33
Speaker 5: Plains because, you know, there are homes and there's density.
• 27:36
Speaker 5: So we are reenacting it at the largest county park.
• 27:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's good.
• 27:41
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 27:41
Speaker 4: Don't forget, they went through Pelham, right? So there was
• 27:43
Speaker 4: the Battle of Pelham Bay. So here is right in
• 27:46
Speaker 4: my neighborhood. That was October 24th as well on their
• 27:49
Speaker 4: way to the battle or the 22nd. So my kids'
• 27:54
Speaker 4: elementary school, they just they planted a tree, a cherry
• 27:58
Speaker 4: tree in honor of George Washington II. As you know,
• 28:01
Speaker 4: right on the right where the elementary school is, is
• 28:05
Speaker 4: where the battle took place.
• 28:06
Speaker 3: So it's kind of cool.
• 28:07
Speaker 6: That is very cool.
• 28:09
Speaker 5: The other we are partnering with the Neuberger Museum to
• 28:15
Speaker 5: present Declaration Distributive, which is Westchester County's Holt Broadside of 1776. Um,
• 28:23
Speaker 5: Westchester County in its archives is the owner of one
• 28:28
Speaker 5: of the five Holt broadsides. So this is a very
• 28:32
Speaker 5: special exhibit and commemoration of really us taking this rare and,
• 28:40
Speaker 5: you know, priceless document into the public and exhibited at SUNY,
• 28:45
Speaker 5: the Neuberger Museum of Art SUNY purchase through December 20th. And, um,
• 28:52
Speaker 5: It is around, you know, it ties into historic adoption
• 28:56
Speaker 5: and the distribution of making this Declaration of Independence public
• 29:00
Speaker 5: to everyone, right? It was also read in the steps
• 29:04
Speaker 5: of the City Hall here in White Plains way back when.
• 29:08
Speaker 5: You know, New York was a holdout in signing the Declaration.
• 29:11
  Speaker 4: Right.
• 29:12
Speaker 5: Extremely, you know, it kind of a great.
• 29:15
Speaker 2: Because we were occupied. Everybody was scared that the Brits
• 29:18
  Speaker 2: would execute them.
• 29:20
Speaker 5: Right. Well, Westchester is this neutral ground that had a
• 29:24
Speaker 5: lot of different camps throughout that time period.
• 29:30
Speaker 6: I think what's unique, the most unique part.
• 29:33
Speaker 5: About it, and I know we're on radio, you have
• 29:35
Speaker 5: to go see it, is that we actually commissioned a special.
• 29:40
Speaker 6: display case of the Declaration of Independence. So if you're familiar,
• 29:45
  Speaker 6: there's five.
• 29:45
Speaker 5: There's one at the New York Public Library that is
• 29:47
Speaker 5: encased in a very big wooden box. The approach for
• 29:51
Speaker 5: this exhibit is completely different.
• 29:53
Speaker 6: It is all clear glass.
• 29:56
Speaker 5: So you see the mechanism and the actual mechanics and
• 30:00
  Speaker 5: the importance.
• 30:00
Speaker 6: And it kind of gives that.
• 30:01
Speaker 5: Important raw look of this eight and a half by
• 30:06
Speaker 5: 11 pulse side broadside. And really allows it for us
• 30:10
Speaker 5: to see it, you know, and experience it live.
• 30:13
  Speaker 6: In that way.
• 30:14
Speaker 5: And it's been a really good project to work with
• 30:17
Speaker 5: and bring it to the public and to visitors.
• 30:20
Speaker 2: And the details on that again?
• 30:21
Speaker 6: Thank you. Visit WestchesterNY.com.
• 30:26
Speaker 2: But the dates on the.
• 30:29
Speaker 5: The Holt Broadside will be in display through December 20th.
• 30:32
Speaker 2: Okay. Got a little bit of time with that.
• 30:35
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 30:36
Speaker 4: And then, Natasha, just getting back to, you know, the
• 30:40
Speaker 4: Sleepy Hollow, spooky Halloween stuff. Is there a one-stop shop
• 30:44
Speaker 4: that we can find out is the Blaze or is
• 30:46
Speaker 4: it Visit Westchester? Where should our listeners go to get
• 30:50
Speaker 4: more information and how to buy tickets?
• 30:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, HudsonValley.org is a great spot to get
• 30:55
Speaker 5: the right click on to get your tickets for the Blaze.
• 30:59
Speaker 5: For itineraries and additional information, go on to our VisitWestchesterNY.com website.
• 31:07
Speaker 5: As well as Westchester County Tourism on Instagram, we do
• 31:10
Speaker 5: twice a week reels and itineraries.
• 31:13
Speaker 6: Of how to experience Westchester.
• 31:14
Speaker 5: And also our farms, our orchards, you know, there's a
• 31:18
Speaker 5: ton of programming taking place.
• 31:21
Speaker 6: Outhouse Orchard and Harvest Moon have taken it.
• 31:24
  Speaker 4: I love this.
• 31:25
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 31:25
  Speaker 6: And doing this.
• 31:26
Speaker 5: You know, different meals and culinary experiences along with the
• 31:30
Speaker 5: apple picking, along with the corn maze.
• 31:33
Speaker 6: So as I said at the top, you know, it
• 31:36
Speaker 6: really is more, the good news.
• 31:39
Speaker 5: Is in my role, we always have new reasons to
• 31:41
  Speaker 5: explore Westchester County.
• 31:43
  Speaker 8: Yeah.
• 31:44
Speaker 4: And this audience, an audience with Poe, I mean, this
• 31:47
Speaker 4: sounds really great. It does have an age restriction, Kevin,
• 31:49
  Speaker 4: 16 and 16 plus, because I think there's they're going
• 31:54
Speaker 4: to be sipping some ale and whatnot.
• 31:57
Speaker 3: And also the stories.
• 31:59
  Speaker 2: Poe isn't exactly a child.
• 32:01
Speaker 3: It'd be a little dark. Raven, the telltale heart. I mean,
• 32:05
Speaker 3: it's it's a bit dark, but that to me, that
• 32:09
Speaker 3: speaks to me. So I'm up for that.
• 32:12
Speaker 5: Yeah, we really enjoyed the night of the magic, the
• 32:16
Speaker 5: legendary magic with Mark Clearview and Nick, they're illusionists and
• 32:20
Speaker 5: it's in the barn. And that was, that's a fun
• 32:24
Speaker 5: for all ages. And that's happening through weekends in October.
• 32:29
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 32:30
Speaker 6: Also at Phillipsburg Manor.
• 32:32
Speaker 2: Well, again, HudsonValley.org, PumpkinBlaze.org, visit Westchester.com. All of these will
• 32:39
Speaker 2: get you to where you want to be. And thank you, Natasha,
• 32:43
Speaker 2: for coming back and telling us all about it.
• 32:45

• 32:46
  Speaker 2: You got it.
• 32:47
Speaker 6: Always willing to talk Westchester.
• 32:50
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 32:50
  Speaker 3: Thanks, Natasha.
• 32:51
Speaker 2: Coming right back, Christine's got tips for your weekend. Don't
• 32:54
  Speaker 2: go anywhere.
• 32:59
Speaker 1: Once again, from New York, here's Radio Night Live and
• 33:03
  Speaker 1: Kevin McCullough.
• 33:05
Speaker 2: Welcome back. Final few minutes of Radio Night Live and
• 33:07
Speaker 2: the Fun Friday edition. She's Christine. I'm Kevin. Christine, what's
• 33:11
Speaker 2: going on for us to go do? I mean, in
• 33:14
Speaker 2: addition to... The Comedy Festival and all the stuff in Westchester.
• 33:17
Speaker 2: There's got to be some other stuff that we can
• 33:19
  Speaker 2: do this weekend.
• 33:19
  Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness.
• 33:21
Speaker 4: Well, first, let's thank Greg Charles from the New York
• 33:23
Speaker 4: Comedy Festival and also our guest Natasha Caputo from Westchester
• 33:26
Speaker 4: Tourism telling us about all the fabulous things to do
• 33:29
Speaker 4: up in those areas. But remember, it's also the 82nd
• 33:32
Speaker 4: annual Columbus Day Parade this Monday. So that's going to
• 33:35
Speaker 4: go from 43rd Street right on 5th Avenue to 72nd Street.
• 33:42
  Speaker 3: Right in Manhattan.
• 33:43
Speaker 4: So, you know, Ray Dalia is going to be the
• 33:47
Speaker 4: he's the founder of Bridgewater Associates.
• 33:49
Speaker 3: You may know of him.
• 33:51
Speaker 4: He's also a deep sea diver and has found a
• 33:53
Speaker 4: lot of amazing things over the years.
• 33:55
Speaker 3: But he's the grand marshal.
• 33:57
Speaker 4: You can also watch it on WBC TV. But the
• 33:59
Speaker 4: parade starts at 11 a.m. And it really is a
• 34:02
Speaker 4: fabulous way of getting your Italian on. I know we
• 34:04
Speaker 4: spoke about the Irish on earlier, but let's get the
• 34:07
Speaker 4: Italian on for Italian heritage. Also, I'm going to head
• 34:11
Speaker 4: up to Arthur Avenue probably on Monday because we love
• 34:15
Speaker 4: going to Arthur Avenue on Columbus Day.
• 34:17
Speaker 3: They have roving musicians.
• 34:19
Speaker 4: They put up a stage for, you know, remember, this
• 34:22
Speaker 4: is where Dion and all of those great musicians from
• 34:25
  Speaker 4: the 50s.
• 34:26
Speaker 3: So they have a lot of that music, too.
• 34:28
Speaker 4: There's a band, Penne e Cioccolato, which will return.
• 34:31
Speaker 3: So they're going to be there.
• 34:32
Speaker 4: So it's it's just a wonderful way of, you know,
• 34:36
Speaker 4: celebrating Italian heritage. up at Arthur Avenue or at the
• 34:40
Speaker 4: Columbus Day Parade. There's also the Comic-Con, which is taking.
• 34:44
  Speaker 3: Place at Javits.
• 34:45
Speaker 4: So if you're in the city and you see people
• 34:47
Speaker 4: with green hair, blue hair, you know, Spider-Man, a few
• 34:51
Speaker 4: more Spider-Mans than we normally have, some Supermans, it's because
• 34:54
Speaker 4: Comic-Con is taking place at the Javits Center.
• 34:58
Speaker 3: That is one of the biggest... consumer shows at Javits.
• 35:02
Speaker 4: And our friends over at House of Spells, they're going
• 35:04
Speaker 4: to be having an after party on Saturday night from
• 35:07
  Speaker 4: 8 p.m.
• 35:07
  Speaker 3: To 1 a.m.
• 35:09
Speaker 4: And tickets are still available. They're capping it, but they
• 35:13
Speaker 4: still have a few tickets left. So, folks, go to
• 35:15
Speaker 4: HouseofSpells.com and you can be part of Comic-Con. If you
• 35:19
Speaker 4: don't get your tickets to Javits, just, you know what,
• 35:22
Speaker 4: put on your favorite... fandom and go to the after
• 35:25
  Speaker 4: party yeah.
• 35:25
Speaker 2: But unlike the spider-man in times square please put on
• 35:29
  Speaker 2: a clean outfit like don't don't don't come in with
• 35:32
Speaker 2: this like grungy uh crummy costume like put a nice
• 35:35
  Speaker 2: costume on Yeah.
• 35:37
Speaker 4: Also, if you want to get your Halloween crypt crawl
• 35:40
Speaker 4: at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, that's something
• 35:43
Speaker 4: that's really unique. That's going to take place on Saturday,
• 35:46
Speaker 4: October 24th. There are some tickets left for that. Just
• 35:49
Speaker 4: go to stjohndivine.org. And then don't forget, these are the
• 35:53
Speaker 4: last days of the Mamma Mia brunch at Ellen Stardust Diner.
• 35:56
Speaker 4: It's the last days because once the holidays kick in,
• 35:59
Speaker 4: Ellen needs every single seat for her patrons because it
• 36:02
Speaker 4: is the hottest show all the time. But The Mamma
• 36:06
Speaker 4: Mia Brunch is downstairs of Ellen's at the Stardust Theater.
• 36:10
Speaker 3: The last shows are.
• 36:12
Speaker 4: This Sunday, October 11th, Sunday, October 25th, and Sunday, November 15th,
• 36:17
  Speaker 4: all at 11 a.m.
• 36:19
Speaker 3: And by the way, it's the best ticket in town.
• 36:21
Speaker 3: Regular tickets are only $ 50. You get a brunch.
• 36:25
Speaker 4: You get a show, Mamma Mia Tunes, for two hours.
• 36:30
Speaker 3: It's so much fun.
• 36:31
Speaker 4: And then if you want to go bottomless, which does
• 36:34
Speaker 4: not mean that you don't wear your pants, folks.
• 36:37
Speaker 2: I'm glad you specified that.
• 36:40
Speaker 3: This is a family show.
• 36:41
Speaker 4: But bottomless, you can go for $ 75.
• 36:46
Speaker 2: Meaning you can have as many milkshakes as you can
• 36:48
Speaker 2: possibly cram in you.
• 36:50
  Speaker 3: Exactly.
• 36:51
Speaker 4: Ellen Stardust Diner dot com. We thank Ellen Hart for
• 36:54
Speaker 4: making that all possible because it is one of the

Speaker 2: Cool. Well, that's it for this week. We'll see you
• 36:59
  Speaker 2: next time.
