- 0:36Speaker 2: the real stuff. This conversation is fun, honest, and filled
- 0:40Speaker 2: with heart. I can't wait for you to hear it.

- 1:11Speaker 4: All the things.
- 1:12Speaker 3: So we're excited to talk to you about.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Yes, I'm sry.
- 1:18Speaker 5: I know you guys are so fun. Your podcast is
- 1:20Speaker 5: so amazing, so inspiring. I've learned so much from you guys.
- 1:24Speaker 5: It's like it's really cool to finally get something scheduled
- 1:27Speaker 5: to do it.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yes, I'm so thrilled, and I'm really thrilled because I
- 1:32Speaker 1: kind of feel like I want to interview both of you,
- 1:35Speaker 1: like interview both of you so that we can see
- 1:38Speaker 1: how this all, you know, came to play because Michelle,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I met you at years ago. You were just getting
- 1:45Speaker 1: ready to go on the Bachelor. Really, so I mean
- 1:50Speaker 1: that was a long time. That was a hot minute ago.
- 1:54Speaker 4: How long ago this minute?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Let's okay, let's back up. So you and Laura started
- 2:01Speaker 1: like you met when Lara.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Okay, So Lara and I met in heaven before we
- 2:08Speaker 5: were born.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Yes, and so.
- 2:12Speaker 5: We came to Earth and Laura and I met years
- 2:16Speaker 5: and years ago. So my ex husband and her ex boyfriend,
- 2:21Speaker 5: like we all kind of went to the same church.
- 2:24Speaker 5: We met kind of at the gym. Like Lara was
- 2:27Speaker 5: was and still is a jim rat. I hate to
- 2:29Speaker 5: say jim rat, but she's always been like super you know,
- 2:32Speaker 5: I have this little bang and body, and I would
- 2:34Speaker 5: see her at the gym all the time at Excel.
- 2:37Speaker 5: But yeah, so I would see Lara at the single
- 2:42Speaker 5: toward you know.
- 2:44Speaker 3: This is Hilariah.
- 2:46Speaker 2: That's why we always joked that God brought us together
- 2:49Speaker 2: because we met technically at church.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, amazing.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So then you connect there and did were you already
- 2:57Speaker 1: living in the same complex, because I know that that's okay.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So crazy.
- 3:02Speaker 5: So then I got divorced, got married, had Brielle, got divorced,
- 3:06Speaker 5: and found this really cool little townhome to rent while
- 3:10Speaker 5: you know, I was sorting out my life, and and
- 3:14Speaker 5: then I there.
- 3:15Speaker 4: It had like a little community pool.
- 3:17Speaker 5: I went to the pool with Brill and ran into
- 3:20Speaker 5: Laura and I was like.
- 3:22Speaker 4: What are you doing here? She's like, what are you
- 3:23Speaker 4: doing here? I live here. I was like, well, I
- 3:25Speaker 4: live here too.
- 3:26Speaker 5: We kind of just started bumping into each other seeing
- 3:28Speaker 5: each other.
- 3:30Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:30Speaker 5: She wanted me to help her with her makeup, and
- 3:33Speaker 5: she brought all her makeup over and we like did
- 3:34Speaker 5: a little you know makeover, you know session. And then
- 3:39Speaker 5: you know, Laura started working for this company called pm
- 3:43Speaker 5: D And at the time, like this was like YouTube
- 3:47Speaker 5: was just becoming like a thing, like YouTubers having their
- 3:51Speaker 5: own channels and doing tutorials and stuff was like this
- 3:54Speaker 5: new thing. And the at the time he was marketing director.
- 4:01Speaker 5: I guess now he's got a different petition. But Sam,
- 4:04Speaker 5: wasn't that his role?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he was marketing director. Now he's CEO or yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 3: yeah whatever.
- 4:11Speaker 5: But he like approached Laara and I was like, you
- 4:13Speaker 5: need to have a YouTube channel, and you know, because
- 4:16Speaker 5: Lara's the skincare goddess and knows all the things and
- 4:18Speaker 5: so and Lara's like, well, I don't want to do
- 4:21Speaker 5: it by myself, and so she approached me. I'm like, well, okay, cool,
- 4:24Speaker 5: let's do it.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So and that's how MMNL was born.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Yeah, actually Michelle and I did some He asked if
- 4:33Speaker 2: we would like record something for I had already recorded
- 4:37Speaker 2: some stuff for PMD, and so I had Michelle do
- 4:42Speaker 2: it with me. And he was like, you guys have
- 4:46Speaker 2: the most incredible chemistry because we just like went as
- 4:50Speaker 2: friends hanging out recording this video for this brand. And
- 4:55Speaker 2: he was like, you guys need to start a YouTube channel.
- 4:57Speaker 2: And we're like, cool, what is it?
- 4:59Speaker 3: What is that?
- 4:59Speaker 4: What YouTube?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Yeah, We're like how do you do it? And so
- 5:03Speaker 3: he like helped, so let's yeah, yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That's incredible. Okay, So then we have the MMNL show.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And then how in the hell did this morph into
- 5:15Speaker 1: you getting on The Bachelor? I've always wanted to ask
- 5:18Speaker 1: you this.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Well, I went on the Bachelor before yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 4: We started the channel.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, okay, I've had a few stints on the show.
- 5:29Speaker 5: So the first time, I feel like the very first
- 5:33Speaker 5: time I went on The Bachelor, and then I went
- 5:36Speaker 5: and did Bachelor Pad and that's when we launched it, right.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Lara, I think so, Yeah, I think so.
- 5:45Speaker 5: And then I did Bachelor in Paradise. So okay, so
- 5:49Speaker 5: you've been like the Bachelor girl.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So I have to tell you I had never like,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I've never watched The only episode of Bachelor I've ever
- 5:57Speaker 1: watched was when you were on it. Oh, because I
- 6:01Speaker 1: was like, I kind of know somebody, I know someone
- 6:05Speaker 1: if somebody knows, so super fun, but that like, did you?
- 6:11Speaker 1: First of all, how old were you when you?
- 6:13Speaker 5: I on thirty and I'm forty four now, so that
- 6:16Speaker 5: was fourteen years ago, sadly okay?
- 6:18Speaker 4: But what I who was the guy? Was the guy?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Brad was?
- 6:21Speaker 5: Yeah, Brad Womack was his name, and he that was
- 6:25Speaker 5: his second time being the Bachelor.
- 6:27Speaker 4: And what is he doing now? Do he even knows?
- 6:31Speaker 5: I mean, I don't even know. I haven't had no clues.
- 6:34Speaker 5: He could be married with children and I have no idea.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Wow, Okay, so you get off of the first that
- 6:40Speaker 1: you and the first show and then did clearly you
- 6:44Speaker 1: wanted to go back on another when they asked you.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But was that ever in the cards?
- 6:48Speaker 5: No, Like it was a really so my season of
- 6:51Speaker 5: The Bachelor, with the edit that I got, was really
- 6:54Speaker 5: inconsistent with what happened, right, which is just part of
- 6:57Speaker 5: like how it is now. But back then it was
- 6:58Speaker 5: like very it was wild, like to have about a villain. Yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 5: to have like a villain was like not. There was
- 7:07Speaker 5: this one girl named Vienna who was on Jake's season
- 7:12Speaker 5: who was kind of maybe like the first villain, but.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it was.
- 7:18Speaker 5: It was like it was so crazy to watch the
- 7:21Speaker 5: show because so many of the things that they made
- 7:26Speaker 5: play out a certain way did not happen that way,
- 7:28Speaker 5: like at all.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Are you mad?
- 7:30Speaker 5: Oh?
- 7:31Speaker 4: Yeah I was. It was really really difficult. I was.
- 7:34Speaker 4: I was mad. I was like, yeah, I was embarrassed.
- 7:38Speaker 5: I was like frustrated because my experience was lovely, Like
- 7:43Speaker 5: I loved going on I loved meeting all these people.
- 7:47Speaker 4: I loved the experience.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Like when I was on my way home, like I
- 7:52Speaker 5: was like writing my journal, I'm like, this was so amazing. Like,
- 7:55Speaker 5: you know, I'm definitely going to be like this the
- 7:57Speaker 5: mom that's always crying because she misses her daughter, like
- 8:00Speaker 5: and like none of that stuff was even included, so
- 8:04Speaker 5: all all, so many things were cut out, and so
- 8:08Speaker 5: what I experienced versus what everyone else experienced was so
- 8:11Speaker 5: different and so it was really like cognitively like so
- 8:16Speaker 5: bizarre because I was like, it was just hard to
- 8:20Speaker 5: wrap your head around. So basically, once I got done
- 8:24Speaker 5: with the show, they asked me to come on Bachelor
- 8:27Speaker 5: Pad and I was like, absolutely not. You guys are
- 8:31Speaker 5: awful humans and that would be a hell no. And
- 8:35Speaker 5: then they said, well what would it take? And I
- 8:38Speaker 5: made a list and they made the list come true.
- 8:40Speaker 5: So I was like fine, and I honestly wanted to
- 8:42Speaker 5: go back on because you know, they had made these
- 8:46Speaker 5: promises that they were going to like, you know, represent
- 8:49Speaker 5: me true to who I was, and granted, like I
- 8:52Speaker 5: didn't like believe at all, but it was like there
- 8:55Speaker 5: was this part of me that was like, you need
- 8:57Speaker 5: to do it, and so I did and I'm glad
- 9:00Speaker 5: I did.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Wow, Okay, I know, so let's move forward to meeting Mike.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So you go on The Bachelor three times over I mean, so,
- 9:14Speaker 1: how old were you when you when you were introduced
- 9:17Speaker 1: to Mike?
- 9:18Speaker 4: Okay?
- 9:19Speaker 5: So when I Okay, So after a bachelor pad a
- 9:21Speaker 5: few years went by, I did Bachelor in Paradise and
- 9:25Speaker 5: I met a guy named Cody on that show and
- 9:29Speaker 5: we started dating and he actually moved to Utah and
- 9:32Speaker 5: moved in with me, and we started like you know,
- 9:36Speaker 5: like we were dating and all the things, and it
- 9:41Speaker 5: didn't work out, broke up, he moved out, and then
- 9:44Speaker 5: like I think, like a few weeks later is when
- 9:48Speaker 5: I I was in Utah. I was walking into this
- 9:52Speaker 5: restaurant and Mike was just there with some buddies. His
- 9:56Speaker 5: buddies came out, Mike went to use the restroom. The
- 9:58Speaker 5: guys came out, and we're kind of waiting for Mike.
- 10:01Speaker 5: And as I went in, Mike was coming out and
- 10:05Speaker 5: he saw me and his friends were there and like
- 10:10Speaker 5: he's like, who's that girl? And they're like, that's some
- 10:11Speaker 5: shell money. She was on the Bachelor on Good Things,
- 10:14Speaker 5: Utah all the things, and he's like, I have no
- 10:16Speaker 5: idea what those things are, but I would like to
- 10:19Speaker 5: meet her. So they found people who knew me, and
- 10:23Speaker 5: I got a text one day from a friend who's
- 10:25Speaker 5: like from Mindy Martineau, who's like, hey, do you know
- 10:30Speaker 5: Mike Weir And I'm like yeah, and she's like, he
- 10:33Speaker 5: wants to go out with you? And I'm like, oh, well,
- 10:36Speaker 5: isn't he mayor I thought he was married. She's like, no,
- 10:38Speaker 5: he's single. One wants to take you out, And I
- 10:39Speaker 5: was like sure. And at that time, I just like
- 10:41Speaker 5: launched this big online beauty course called The Money Method,
- 10:48Speaker 5: and so I was super busy, like launching this company
- 10:51Speaker 5: that I started, and so like weeks went by before
- 10:55Speaker 5: we finally went out, and he invited me to go
- 10:58Speaker 5: to his like he was having a little birthday party
- 11:00Speaker 5: at his house, and so Mindy and I went and
- 11:04Speaker 5: a bunch of people were there and we met and
- 11:06Speaker 5: it was like from the very beginning, it was just
- 11:11Speaker 5: really easy and really comfortable and really, I don't know,
- 11:15Speaker 5: like natural like there. It wasn't like The Bachelor, where
- 11:18Speaker 5: it's like this like you know, dramatic, like you know,
- 11:21Speaker 5: emotional connection that's all been produced and fabricated.
- 11:25Speaker 4: You know.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Like it was like this very slow and steady, healthy
- 11:31Speaker 5: progression of relationship. And so from that point on, we
- 11:33Speaker 5: never saw anyone else and it was just like slow
- 11:38Speaker 5: and steady and eventually just was like a no brainer.
- 11:42Speaker 5: So they're all super organic.
- 11:45Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So I'm going to say I didn't know who Mike
- 11:50Speaker 1: was because I don't follow golf. And then for those
- 11:54Speaker 1: that don't know who, when you're talking about my.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Who is he?
- 11:59Speaker 5: Okay, So Mike is my husband. He is from Canada.
- 12:05Speaker 5: He's a professional golfer. He's best known for his win
- 12:09Speaker 5: at the Masters. He's a Masters champion. And in Utah,
- 12:14Speaker 5: you know, he went to he was raised in Canada
- 12:17Speaker 5: and then went to BYU and that's where he played
- 12:21Speaker 5: in college. So a lot of people in Utah know him.
- 12:24Speaker 5: And then he ended up meeting his ex wife, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 5: in college. They got married, stayed in Utah, which is
- 12:30Speaker 5: rare because most golfers like moved to Florida or something,
- 12:34Speaker 5: but they stayed in Utah, had their kids, raise their
- 12:36Speaker 5: kids here, and so a lot of people in Utah
- 12:40Speaker 5: know him. There's a street called Mike wear Drive, and
- 12:44Speaker 5: he's just kind of known as like a Utah you know,
- 12:47Speaker 5: EYU player. And so yeah, so he's now we're now
- 12:51Speaker 5: he's playing on the Champions Tour and which is up
- 12:57Speaker 5: for fifty years and older. So he played on the
- 12:59Speaker 5: regular tour for years and then on fifty he's we're
- 13:03Speaker 5: now on the championship. That's where I meant. We're in Tucson,
- 13:06Speaker 5: Arizona at the Bolivard Classic.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I love it.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Yeah, nice and warm there.
- 13:12Speaker 5: I'm sure it's not too warm, but it's it's we're
- 13:15Speaker 5: gonna get there.
- 13:16Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah. So how is it to be married to a
- 13:21Speaker 3: professional athlete?
- 13:23Speaker 4: You know what?
- 13:23Speaker 5: It's funny because I think that the qualities that like
- 13:27Speaker 5: a professional athlete has are like the things I'm really
- 13:30Speaker 5: drawn to because he's very like disciplined, and he's very
- 13:36Speaker 5: he has really great work ethic, he's really passionate about
- 13:42Speaker 5: his sport, and so it's wonderful. It's it's like, it's
- 13:48Speaker 5: what and what's so cool about golf is you can
- 13:50Speaker 5: play for so many years of life, right like you
- 13:53Speaker 5: know with basketball players are baseball or football if they
- 13:57Speaker 5: have this short little span of time where they get
- 13:59Speaker 5: to like be in their prime and then they kind
- 14:04Speaker 5: of like don't know what to do with themselves.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Well, golf is different when you have the.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Kind of career that Mike's had and you are able
- 14:12Speaker 5: to play on the Champions Tour, like Mike could be
- 14:15Speaker 5: playing until he's eighty.
- 14:17Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:18Speaker 5: And so it's a really great I really enjoy it.
- 14:23Speaker 5: And Mike has a really good balance with It's it's like, yes,
- 14:28Speaker 5: he's obsessed with it. It's all consuming. He's like so
- 14:32Speaker 5: disciplined and regimented. But he's he's got you know, these
- 14:36Speaker 5: two daughters and now Brial as a stepdaughter and me,
- 14:40Speaker 5: and so he's surrounded by all these women and he's
- 14:43Speaker 5: got this real softness to him and he's able to like,
- 14:46Speaker 5: you know, balance you know, this rigid game with some softness,
- 14:52Speaker 5: which is really important. And so but it's a different life, right,
- 14:57Speaker 5: Like we're on the road a lot, you're and the
- 15:00Speaker 5: game of golf is insane. So it's like, I don't
- 15:03Speaker 5: know if you guys watch Full Swing, it's on.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I just watched your episode. Yeah, everyone has to tune in.
- 15:10Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 15:11Speaker 5: It's such a great show to watch if you're new
- 15:14Speaker 5: to golf, to help you understand the sport, how the
- 15:17Speaker 5: game works, like how emotionally like up and down everyone is.
- 15:23Speaker 5: It's just it's such a it's really really hard to
- 15:26Speaker 5: get a win and when you do, it's just like
- 15:30Speaker 5: the high of all highs. And then it's like the
- 15:32Speaker 5: next week you got to go back and start trying
- 15:34Speaker 5: to win again. And it's it's a really beautiful, like
- 15:39Speaker 5: rewarding game to learn how to play, like as someone
- 15:43Speaker 5: who's new to it. But once you learn, you have
- 15:45Speaker 5: such a deeper respect for like these professional athletes who
- 15:49Speaker 5: just grind and like occasionally get a win if ever.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Okay, so you didn't play golf until you met Mike, right, Okay,
- 16:01Speaker 1: because I've only done top golf and mini golf.
- 16:04Speaker 4: You do, how did you do? Terrible? Terrible the eyeballs.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I only have one good eye that can see, So
- 16:12Speaker 1: I mean, this is the golf. It's not going to
- 16:15Speaker 1: work for me, but I find it fascinating because I
- 16:19Speaker 1: think I would after one hole, I would be like
- 16:23Speaker 1: wanting to put my eyeballs out because my attention span
- 16:25Speaker 1: is like this big.
- 16:27Speaker 5: For sure you would, but and it's hard because it's
- 16:30Speaker 5: like that's what's so cool about the sport is like
- 16:33Speaker 5: it requires a lot of you, you know, and so
- 16:36Speaker 5: you're always having to push yourself. But I I don't
- 16:40Speaker 5: like to play eighteen holes. I only like to play
- 16:42Speaker 5: nine max. Sometimes I just like to play five. And
- 16:45Speaker 5: so that's what is cool about the game is just
- 16:48Speaker 5: like a casual player, you don't have to play eighteen holes,
- 16:52Speaker 5: so you can do whatever the hell you want, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 5: you just have to the biggest thing is being able
- 16:57Speaker 5: to like keep up, like not be slow. And even
- 17:02Speaker 5: things like you know, top golf are such a great
- 17:04Speaker 5: way to just like go and and mess around with
- 17:07Speaker 5: it and learn. But it definitely is a sport that
- 17:11Speaker 5: requires like continual education, like or you know, like a
- 17:17Speaker 5: lot of practice. Like to think that you can just
- 17:19Speaker 5: like go grab a club and go play some holes.
- 17:23Speaker 5: That will you will want to gas your eyeballs out,
- 17:25Speaker 5: like you said, and it will be hard.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Okay, I gotta watch Full Swing.
- 17:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just is a good It shows you kind
- 17:33Speaker 5: of the the inside you know life of like the
- 17:39Speaker 5: players and what's really going on, and it's cool.
- 17:42Speaker 1: All right, let's take a quick break to hear from
- 17:45Speaker 1: some of the body pod sponsors. We'll be right back, Okay,
- 17:53Speaker 1: So let's move on to your company. Yeah, and and
- 17:58Speaker 1: tell us, well, tell us what what your company is
- 18:01Speaker 1: and how long have you had this hot.
- 18:05Speaker 5: So when I let's see in twenty twenty one. You know,
- 18:09Speaker 5: like I started dating Mike and never really was super
- 18:13Speaker 5: interested in golf, and I would go to to tournaments
- 18:18Speaker 5: and things, and the whole thing was just kind of
- 18:20Speaker 5: it's intimidating, and so I never really got that interested
- 18:24Speaker 5: in golf until later in life. Brielle had just had
- 18:27Speaker 5: her accident. She wanted, you know, I needed to get
- 18:32Speaker 5: her doing something that was kind of like using her
- 18:36Speaker 5: using her brain, being active, using her body because my
- 18:38Speaker 5: daughter was in a bad longboarding accident, was in a
- 18:42Speaker 5: coma for ten days and had to like relearn how
- 18:44Speaker 5: to do all the things. So after that happened, golf
- 18:48Speaker 5: was something she was interested in. So we started kind
- 18:50Speaker 5: of going and learning and you know, and then fast
- 18:54Speaker 5: forward to a friend of mine named Jen. She Jen Clyde.
- 18:58Speaker 5: She had reached out to me and was like, hey,
- 19:00Speaker 5: let's go golf. I see that you're golfing. Let's go golf.
- 19:02Speaker 5: So we, you know, went to my country club and
- 19:06Speaker 5: I was like, oh, by the way, you need.
- 19:08Speaker 4: To have like a collared shirt.
- 19:09Speaker 5: It's really annoying, but it's like there's you know, these rules,
- 19:13Speaker 5: and so she went down got this you know, country
- 19:17Speaker 5: Cloak Country club, you know, outfit, and she showed up
- 19:20Speaker 5: and was like this is this is awful And I'm like,
- 19:22Speaker 5: I know you look you kind of look dumb.
- 19:26Speaker 3: She's like yeah.
- 19:27Speaker 5: So, and to make a long story short, we kind
- 19:31Speaker 5: of just Mike and I decided to you know, kind
- 19:35Speaker 5: of like take a risk and invest in in in
- 19:38Speaker 5: a company that would kind of help bring more women
- 19:41Speaker 5: to the to the game. And so and we started
- 19:44Speaker 5: by just doing events and and that kind of led
- 19:48Speaker 5: into this which was happening. We weren't really aware of
- 19:53Speaker 5: it at the time, but this boom in women's golf,
- 19:56Speaker 5: and so all these women were like really wanting to
- 19:58Speaker 5: learn the game because it was right after COVID it
- 20:00Speaker 5: was something you can do outside, and so we had
- 20:04Speaker 5: all these women who wanted to learn, and so, you know,
- 20:11Speaker 5: we just like we did an event in Utah that
- 20:13Speaker 5: sold out, We did an event in Arizona that sold out,
- 20:16Speaker 5: we did an event in Canada, and so yeah, we
- 20:20Speaker 5: just it was just like wow, you know. And at
- 20:21Speaker 5: that time we were just selling like merch and different things,
- 20:24Speaker 5: but it was mainly events. And then Mike was golfing
- 20:28Speaker 5: one day in a pro am and he got paired
- 20:31Speaker 5: up with this guy named Ted Shin and Ted owns
- 20:33Speaker 5: Worldwide Golf, which is like a big, you know, corporation
- 20:39Speaker 5: that owns a ton of little mom and pop golf
- 20:41Speaker 5: shops and they're kind of like taking over the golf industry.
- 20:43Speaker 4: It's really cool.
- 20:44Speaker 5: But and Mike told him about our company and he
- 20:48Speaker 5: was like, I'd love to talk to them about maybe
- 20:50Speaker 5: developing a full apparel line and so yeah, so Mike
- 20:57Speaker 5: introduced us to Ted, and Ted loved what we had done,
- 21:00Speaker 5: and now we're like in all these Worldwide stores and
- 21:05Speaker 5: we just launched in free People today and we have
- 21:08Speaker 5: like what I know, it's so crazy.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Wow. We Yeah, they're doing Gardable.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Really really fast. Like it grew really fast. It was
- 21:17Speaker 5: there was such a need for it. And my business partner,
- 21:22Speaker 5: Jen is really really great creatively.
- 21:24Speaker 4: We have an amazing designer.
- 21:26Speaker 5: We have like a really great team of people who
- 21:30Speaker 5: have been able to like take this little brand and
- 21:33Speaker 5: turn it into something that like people want to wear
- 21:36Speaker 5: and that people feel like really cute and that you
- 21:39Speaker 5: could kind of wear on the course and then like
- 21:41Speaker 5: out to dinner with friends and you know, so we
- 21:44Speaker 5: kind of tapped into this little niche audience that was
- 21:47Speaker 5: like really wanting to to like have better options when golfing,
- 21:53Speaker 5: but come to find out.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Like women just love that sporty vibe.
- 21:57Speaker 5: So it's a lot of our you know, our our
- 22:00Speaker 5: tagline is Golfing Optional because it's really kind of like
- 22:05Speaker 5: a lifestyle brand that you can kind of wear anywhere,
- 22:09Speaker 5: and we kind of just hope that you'll also learn
- 22:11Speaker 5: how to golf if you haven't.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I love that tagline and it's so I think it's great. Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I think it's incredible that we well, we all want
- 22:19Speaker 1: to feel cute. I mean that's why the active wear
- 22:22Speaker 1: is massive and never going away for any anything fitness related, so.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I know, brilliant.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Really, it's funny because golf really is such an intimidating sport,
- 22:34Speaker 5: and you do you feel awkward and weird, like moving
- 22:39Speaker 5: your body in these weird ways, and you're already like
- 22:42Speaker 5: uncomfortable just getting out and learning. But when you have
- 22:45Speaker 5: a cute outfit on, you don't even you don't even
- 22:49Speaker 5: care forget it, Like, I don't even care if I'm
- 22:51Speaker 5: playing bad.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I look cute and I feel cute.
- 22:54Speaker 5: And so as women, we all know how that translates
- 22:57Speaker 5: into life, right, like when we feel confident in our skin,
- 23:01Speaker 5: confident in our body and in our clothing, we show
- 23:04Speaker 5: up better, we show up differently, and so you know,
- 23:07Speaker 5: and we really pride ourselves on having you know, like
- 23:10Speaker 5: we we go up to double extra large in our sizing.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Which we really had to push for.
- 23:16Speaker 5: It was really like something that a lot of you know,
- 23:21Speaker 5: these buyers are kind of like, we don't want those sizing.
- 23:24Speaker 5: The sizes they just don't sell. And it's like, well,
- 23:26Speaker 5: it's because you're not offering it.
- 23:28Speaker 4: And so.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Yeah, body inclusivity is super important to us and just
- 23:34Speaker 5: being able to have you know, just options for anyone
- 23:39Speaker 5: from like youth to like adults. They're all loving the brand.
- 23:42Speaker 5: It's really cool how we're drying a lot of attention
- 23:45Speaker 5: from a lot of different age ranges and and even
- 23:49Speaker 5: like outside of golf, right like pickleball, and you know,
- 23:52Speaker 5: we just launched our spring line, which is like really
- 23:56Speaker 5: you know, a nod to like race car race, seeing basketball, baseball.
- 24:03Speaker 5: Like we're kind of really trying to you know, kind
- 24:06Speaker 5: of like tip our hat to all sports and women's sports,
- 24:10Speaker 5: you know as well, and just unifying all of us
- 24:15Speaker 5: as women who just really love sport and really want
- 24:18Speaker 5: to like look cute while we play.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I get that.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So the company is three years old, two and a half.
- 24:30Speaker 4: I mean technically it's like four, but we we launched
- 24:35Speaker 4: the apparel side of it in twenty twenty three.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Okay, so you've had massive growth in that short amount
- 24:42Speaker 1: of time.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Massive.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Okay, So let's talk about that, because yeah, I can
- 24:47Speaker 1: relate with that.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Last year.
- 24:48Speaker 4: It's a blur.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't remember any of it. And it's not all fun.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I mean it's not all like fun.
- 24:56Speaker 4: It's miserable. I don't recommend it.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Like why can't I just go back to being a
- 25:01Speaker 1: trophy wife. I mean, why why would I do this?
- 25:05Speaker 4: Let me tell you something. It's so funny, that's what
- 25:08Speaker 4: she said, because I mean I would.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Go over to Lara's house and like, I'm just like,
- 25:13Speaker 5: I don't know how this happened. It was an accident,
- 25:16Speaker 5: Like I did not mean for this to happen, and
- 25:20Speaker 5: I'm like, it's it's just there's certain people that are
- 25:23Speaker 5: cut out for it. And you know, I've never been
- 25:26Speaker 5: able to be like in the Daily Grind because Mike's
- 25:31Speaker 5: Mike's my number one priority. It's always kind of been like, listen,
- 25:33Speaker 5: we're on the road a ton, Like I can't be
- 25:36Speaker 5: in the office every day, right, And so it's always
- 25:42Speaker 5: been kind of like just stressful balancing those two worlds
- 25:46Speaker 5: because it's like if this thing just happened so fast
- 25:50Speaker 5: and I was not prepared for it. I wasn't prepared mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritual,
- 25:57Speaker 5: none of it.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Like it was just like I was not prepared.
- 26:00Speaker 5: But I learned so much and I've grown so much
- 26:03Speaker 5: and I've evolved so much, and it's been it's been amazing,
- 26:06Speaker 5: but you know, I've had to grind my whole freaking life.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Like I've never been in a position in my life
- 26:13Speaker 5: where i have like the blessing of not having to work,
- 26:21Speaker 5: not like even wanting to work and.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Really presenting work.
- 26:27Speaker 1: No.
- 26:28Speaker 5: I So I'm like it's been really hard for me
- 26:31Speaker 5: because I'm like, oh my gosh, like I don't know
- 26:33Speaker 5: how this happened.
- 26:34Speaker 4: But so I've.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Really had to take a step back because I had
- 26:40Speaker 5: some health issues come up in twenty twenty three, like
- 26:42Speaker 5: right when we launched our brand, it was like this
- 26:46Speaker 5: crazy busy time of life. So to make long story short,
- 26:50Speaker 5: like I have taken a step back from for All
- 26:53Speaker 5: as much as I can, while I really try to
- 26:57Speaker 5: maintain my health and my my priorities as far as
- 27:03Speaker 5: like where I'm at in life, Like right now, I'm like,
- 27:07Speaker 5: you know, I it's my husband, it's my family, it's
- 27:10Speaker 5: my kids, and it's my health, you know, and my friends,
- 27:13Speaker 5: and like anything I don't have to do outside of that,
- 27:16Speaker 5: I just really am not doing because it's not worth
- 27:19Speaker 5: it for me, and it's not you know, it's not
- 27:26Speaker 5: a priority right now with my life. So, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 5: for All has been this amazing thing that like I
- 27:33Speaker 5: feel like Mike and I helped start and grow and
- 27:35Speaker 5: get to where it is and now we can kind
- 27:38Speaker 5: of take a step back and let it grow and
- 27:41Speaker 5: let it grow and do what we always wanted it
- 27:43Speaker 5: to do.
- 27:43Speaker 4: And so.
- 27:45Speaker 5: You know, it's been a transition, but it's been really
- 27:48Speaker 5: good for my help, really good for my family, and
- 27:54Speaker 5: you know, so it's been it's been a wild few years.
- 27:58Speaker 4: Wild.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I think that's really brave too, to just make those
- 28:03Speaker 2: hard decisions. Yeah, of I'm going to choose my health
- 28:07Speaker 2: and my family, and it is hard, not easy.
- 28:11Speaker 4: To do that. No, it's not easy.
- 28:14Speaker 1: You mentioned that you had learned some lessons in the
- 28:18Speaker 1: three year journey. Did you have any setbacks or do
- 28:21Speaker 1: you feel like you kind of just got in the
- 28:24Speaker 1: door maybe with people that Mike knew or what I mean,
- 28:29Speaker 1: there's setbacks with everything, even with any kind of connection.
- 28:33Speaker 4: What were Did you have any setbacks with four All? Yeah,
- 28:37Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, no, not really.
- 28:41Speaker 5: It's yeah, I'm telling you, Okay, it was like we did,
- 28:44Speaker 5: but it was also like it was like this thing
- 28:47Speaker 5: needed to be birthed, like it was out of our hands.
- 28:50Speaker 4: I don't know how to explain it, like Jen and.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I like, yes, we've worked really hard, and yes we've
- 28:57Speaker 5: like created something so specific I mean this, Yeah, the
- 29:03Speaker 5: setbacks of like growing really fast are painful. I just
- 29:09Speaker 5: don't want to complain too much because we've been so blessed.
- 29:13Speaker 5: We've been, I mean, we've really been hugely blessed. And
- 29:18Speaker 5: you know, Mike's obviously had to have. Mike have so
- 29:21Speaker 5: many connections in the game and so many connections in
- 29:24Speaker 5: the industry, and you know, we've gotten into so many
- 29:29Speaker 5: you know, golf shops and different golf clubs, and you know,
- 29:34Speaker 5: there's so many things that you know, just having a
- 29:36Speaker 5: name like Mike, you know is who's so well respected
- 29:40Speaker 5: in the industry is just a huge advantage and you know,
- 29:44Speaker 5: and yeah, this setbacks, there's been plenty of setbacks as
- 29:48Speaker 5: far as like, you know, aligning on ideas, aligning on visions,
- 29:53Speaker 5: and that's just always going to be a thing, especially
- 29:55Speaker 5: when you're creative people trying to you know, create. But like,
- 30:00Speaker 5: it's been so crazy because it's just it just kind
- 30:05Speaker 5: of almost felt like bigger than us, like it needed
- 30:10Speaker 5: to come to life and we were just kind of
- 30:12Speaker 5: like the vessels and like, you know, so yeah, yeah,
- 30:18Speaker 5: I don't want to discount how hard it's been, but
- 30:21Speaker 5: we have been so blessed and so fortunate to have
- 30:24Speaker 5: the kind of growth that we've had.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Mm hmmm, do you have any desire to go back on?
- 30:30Speaker 1: If you tomorrow? They were like, okay, Michelle, we're going
- 30:33Speaker 1: to have a Mike and Michelle show. Would do you
- 30:36Speaker 1: have any desire to go back on reality TV? I
- 30:39Speaker 1: kind of did with one. Okay, so if you did
- 30:42Speaker 1: an episode of.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Well you do that episode of Full Swing?
- 30:47Speaker 5: So did you make a Yeah, it's more like a
- 30:50Speaker 5: docu sory, like you're they literally are just following you around.
- 30:53Speaker 4: It's not it's so different than a reality show.
- 30:56Speaker 5: But no, I you know, but I really don't have
- 31:01Speaker 5: a desire.
- 31:05Speaker 4: To do much of anything outside of my friends. Yeah, yeah, really.
- 31:13Speaker 5: And you know, like my health. I really I'm in
- 31:16Speaker 5: this really interesting stage of life that I never thought
- 31:19Speaker 5: i'd be out where, Like I'm so uninterested in anything
- 31:25Speaker 5: that is like me being out there or like being
- 31:33Speaker 5: like on social media or like you know, like influencing
- 31:37Speaker 5: in any way.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Like I have.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Never been more uninterested in anything like that than I
- 31:46Speaker 5: am now, And maybe that will change, but I don't know.
- 31:49Speaker 5: I think that I'm really enjoying a little bit more privacy.
- 31:54Speaker 5: I'm enjoying a lot more like intimate relationships with people
- 31:59Speaker 5: that I really know and care about, and not so
- 32:02Speaker 5: much these like internet friends. You know, not that there's
- 32:07Speaker 5: anything wrong with that, because there's not.
- 32:09Speaker 4: That's a beautiful part of life.
- 32:10Speaker 5: But I guess for me, I'm like very exhausted and
- 32:16Speaker 5: uh just disillusioned by social media and you know a
- 32:22Speaker 5: little bit just kind of like I think because Laura
- 32:28Speaker 5: and I really have been doing it from the very beginning,
- 32:31Speaker 5: like that kind of went right into like I kind
- 32:35Speaker 5: of got thrown into it again with Instagram. Like right
- 32:38Speaker 5: when Instagram came Instagram came out, was when Bachelor Pad
- 32:41Speaker 5: or Bachelor of Paradise happened. So I like immediately had
- 32:44Speaker 5: this huge following on Instagram, and it's like it's exhausting,
- 32:49Speaker 5: and you know, I just don't enjoy it anymore.
- 32:52Speaker 4: I don't, you know, I liked.
- 32:55Speaker 5: I like to talk about things I genuinely care about
- 32:57Speaker 5: and that I know will make a difference in people's
- 32:59Speaker 5: lives and and you know, but it's like I'm becoming
- 33:04Speaker 5: more and more like just wanting to just be private
- 33:08Speaker 5: and wanting to just and it's not even like a
- 33:11Speaker 5: conscious thought where it's like I want to be private.
- 33:13Speaker 5: It's just like I'm just not drawn to it anymore.
- 33:15Speaker 5: I'm not interested in it anymore. I mean, I'm on
- 33:18Speaker 5: TikTok all day.
- 33:19Speaker 3: I'm on I like.
- 33:21Speaker 4: I love TikTok.
- 33:23Speaker 3: She is learning all the things, which in turn I'm learning.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I learned so much.
- 33:28Speaker 5: But I don't put myself out there at all, Like
- 33:30Speaker 5: I'm not interested in like putting a camera in front
- 33:33Speaker 5: of me at all.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Okay, well, I think you've never looked better in your life.
- 33:39Speaker 2: What are the like two or three things that you
- 33:42Speaker 2: are doing or you know the main things that you're
- 33:45Speaker 2: doing in your forties.
- 33:47Speaker 3: To stay healthy, fit strong.
- 33:51Speaker 5: I mean, I really love weightlifting. I just really love it,
- 33:57Speaker 5: and it's become something that I have, Well, I've done
- 34:02Speaker 5: it consistently now. And when I say consistently, I mean
- 34:06Speaker 5: like at least two to three times a week.
- 34:09Speaker 4: For like two years.
- 34:11Speaker 5: And what's so fun, It is so much fun. And
- 34:15Speaker 5: the more the stronger I get, the more empowered I
- 34:19Speaker 5: feel and the more and what's so wild is like
- 34:22Speaker 5: I've never been in this kind of shape in my life.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Like I'm in the best shape of my life out
- 34:26Speaker 5: forty four. And it's like so funny, how like, you know,
- 34:31Speaker 5: five ten years ago, I would be on Instagram and
- 34:34Speaker 5: see all these bikini models and all these fit people
- 34:37Speaker 5: and be like, one day I'm going to be showing
- 34:39Speaker 5: up my body and it's like it's so funny because
- 34:42Speaker 5: it's it isn't for anyone else but me, Like I
- 34:45Speaker 5: don't feel any need to be like, hey, look at
- 34:47Speaker 5: my before and after. Not that there's anything wrong with that,
- 34:49Speaker 5: but what's been so fascinating for me about the whole
- 34:52Speaker 5: process is how it's not the reward that I have
- 34:59Speaker 5: got from it is not anything I feel like I
- 35:02Speaker 5: need to prove to anyone but myself. And that's been
- 35:05Speaker 5: the coolest part about it is, you know, like I
- 35:09Speaker 5: worked for these muscles, like I had to do this
- 35:11Speaker 5: and I had to you know, no one else did
- 35:15Speaker 5: it but me, and it's just so rewarding for myself.
- 35:20Speaker 5: I don't know, but so yeah, working out weight training consistently,
- 35:26Speaker 5: prioritizing like real food has been really huge for me.
- 35:31Speaker 5: Like I'm an ingredient reader. I try really hard to
- 35:35Speaker 5: avoid anything with more than like five or six ingredients,
- 35:38Speaker 5: and you know, I try to avoid the seed oils,
- 35:41Speaker 5: I try to avoid sugar, I try to avoid you know,
- 35:45Speaker 5: high fruitoise all that stuff is just kind of garbage.
- 35:49Speaker 4: I try to prioritize protein. I try to prioritize my sleep.
- 35:52Speaker 5: But my sleep is my sleep scores sucking lately and
- 35:55Speaker 5: it's making me sad.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Oh girl, I've been up since three thirty today, so
- 36:02Speaker 1: it away talking that before amazing.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It's so great.
- 36:08Speaker 4: I love it.
- 36:09Speaker 5: I actually just yesterday started testosterone, so yeah, I'm make
- 36:15Speaker 5: sure about to see how you like, you do have
- 36:17Speaker 5: to be really careful when you've had a breast cancer diagnosis,
- 36:19Speaker 5: you have to be super careful about your hormones. And
- 36:21Speaker 5: so I've been really done all the research and done
- 36:25Speaker 5: all the you know, talk to my doctor about all
- 36:28Speaker 5: the things, and I feel good about getting on testosterone.
- 36:31Speaker 4: So I just started that yesterday. So maybe that will help. Yeah,
- 36:34Speaker 4: But more than anything, it's stress.
- 36:37Speaker 5: I really think, like removing stress from your life as
- 36:41Speaker 5: much as you possibly can and really trying to like
- 36:45Speaker 5: implement some sort of you know, practice a spiritual practice,
- 36:50Speaker 5: whether it's like meditation or prayer or something you know,
- 36:54Speaker 5: like has been really that's been really helpful for me.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I love all the gems.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I would say.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Are you so proud of the weightlifting, Hayley.
- 37:08Speaker 1: I'm so proud, And it's just good to I mean
- 37:11Speaker 1: it really, like you said, there's so many more benefits
- 37:14Speaker 1: than the vanity side of it that you know, a
- 37:18Speaker 1: lot of women still think like, well I don't need
- 37:21Speaker 1: to have this body that you know, blah blah blah
- 37:24Speaker 1: or whatever, but there's so many other benefits outside. Now,
- 37:27Speaker 1: some women definitely benefit from the body composition changes that
- 37:31Speaker 1: makes them feel better, but it's you know, I mean
- 37:35Speaker 1: we're training for life essentially.
- 37:37Speaker 4: I know, it's so interesting.
- 37:39Speaker 5: And then also learning how to like you know, it's
- 37:42Speaker 5: not so much about doing these like clean and snatch
- 37:45Speaker 5: things as much as like learning how like you're going
- 37:48Speaker 5: to be picking up groceries and like when you're eighty,
- 37:51Speaker 5: you know, are you going to still be able? You know,
- 37:54Speaker 5: these functional movements that are just going to help us
- 37:57Speaker 5: as we age. And that's what's exciting to me is
- 38:00Speaker 5: that there's so much more knowledge, you know, from people
- 38:04Speaker 5: like you guys who help, you know, help me see
- 38:07Speaker 5: my future as something really like cool, Like it's going
- 38:11Speaker 5: to be cool to be in our eighties with the
- 38:14Speaker 5: knowledge and the information that we have now, it's going
- 38:17Speaker 5: to look totally different.
- 38:19Speaker 2: And talks and because of botox and the good the
- 38:24Speaker 2: good plastic surgeons and the good plastic surgeons, we're gonna
- 38:27Speaker 2: look great.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Michelle, thank you so much for coming
- 38:34Speaker 3: on and you talking about all the things.
- 38:37Speaker 4: I know.
- 38:37Speaker 5: I'm so happy to do it. And I just love
- 38:39Speaker 5: what you two are doing. I love the information that
- 38:42Speaker 5: you do to have like, yeah, you guys are really
- 38:45Speaker 5: killing it. And it's an absolute honor to even be
- 38:49Speaker 5: here with you guys, so I love you both.
