Speaker 1: the word of God. Now this was extraordinary. Revival was

Speaker 1: breaking out. The gospel was not confined to the sin

Speaker 1: God's word was drawing crials beyond religious boundaries. Now this

Speaker 1: is exciting, and this is amazing. Now picture this, not

Speaker 1: drew them not entertainment. It was not politics, It was

Speaker 1: and blaspheming. They oppose the things spoken by Paul. Now,

Speaker 1: Paul from day one had opposition. Paul was no stranger

Speaker 1: to opposition. Even today, they challenged Paul. A lot of

Speaker 1: people have to debunk Paul, a lot of occult leaders.

Speaker 1: the gatekeeper, which is the apostle Paul. And look at

Speaker 1: came against the truth of God's word. They opposed Paul.

Speaker 1: In the spirit behind it is envy. They were envious

Speaker 1: of the apostle. Now jealousy. It was not theology that

Speaker 1: drove much opposition, opposition, it was jealousy. In the Book

Speaker 1: of Acts, the issue wasn't about truth. It was about control, influence,

Speaker 1: and pride. Their pride was hurt because they couldn't draw

Speaker 1: a crowd like this. Religious leaders were upset because attention

Speaker 1: shifted away from them. They wanted the spotlight. They wanted

Speaker 1: to be the star, and they wanted it in now

Speaker 1: moment of transparency. When I first started Club His Hot

Speaker 1: lot of attention. It started a buzz throughout the whole city.

Speaker 1: People were coming through wanting to check out what this

Speaker 1: God was moving, The word was spreading. We were on

Speaker 1: the news multiple times. We were on the local Fox

Speaker 1: five news, We were in our local newspaper. People from

Speaker 1: all around we're hearing about what was going down at

Speaker 1: Club His out Las Vegas, doing it for the Lord. Amen. Now,

Speaker 1: one of the guys on my team, one of my

Speaker 1: team members, challenged me and said, because they wanted to

Speaker 1: start their own movement, they wanted to start their own shine.

Speaker 1: And I mean, who knows it could have been the Lord.

Speaker 1: I'm not here to judge. I mean things could have

Speaker 1: been done a lot better with integrity, I will admit,

Speaker 1: and I would say that on all parts. Right, I'm

Speaker 1: not just gonna blame anyone. I have my pardner this

Speaker 1: as well. You know, love covers a multitude of sin.

Speaker 1: But the point I'm trying to make is the statement

Speaker 1: he made was, let's see how everything works out when

Speaker 1: the attention is not on you anymore. Basically, basically, they

Speaker 1: were saying that they want some of them, They wanted

Speaker 1: some of the attention, and they for a while, I

Speaker 1: actually did they got it. They drew a crowd of

Speaker 1: their own, and I began to lose support with the club.

Speaker 1: And maybe one day I need to write a book

Speaker 1: right about this and so, and even today I'm not

Speaker 1: where I was, you know, as far as influence and

Speaker 1: being in the spotlight and all that. And I'm actually

Speaker 1: okay with it because I didn't do it for the spotlight.

Speaker 1: Now I'm not saying I'm perfect. You know, if I

Speaker 1: was more of a man of prayer back then, I

Speaker 1: could have avoided a lot of mistakes. But I know

Speaker 1: from what I've learned that if the Lord would allow

Speaker 1: me to get back in that position that all glory

Speaker 1: goes to him, I won't do it for the attention

Speaker 1: or for the spotlight. And if God chooses to shift it,

Speaker 1: I would get behind and support anyone. As long as

Speaker 1: this God right, I'll be in the background and I

Speaker 1: will support. Amen. But if it's of your flesh, and

Speaker 1: if it was not done with integrity, then that's a

Speaker 1: whole another situation. But notice the problem was the heart.

Speaker 1: It was a heart problem. They were filled with conviction,

Speaker 1: they were filled with envying. Now, instead of celebrating people

Speaker 1: hearing God's word, they attacked the messenger, like we are

Speaker 1: on the same team. We need to celebrate the word

Speaker 1: of God together. Amen. And this still happens today. Sometimes

Speaker 1: opposition comes not from unbelievers, but from religious peace people

Speaker 1: threatened by change by religious people who are threatened by

Speaker 1: a new movement in a new walk with God. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: My prayer is that I'll always stay flexible. My prayer

Speaker 1: gonna say ministry. We can see celebrities right when they

Speaker 1: get their fame and fortune, the true person will often

Speaker 1: come out. We cannot handle the pressures of fame and

Speaker 1: fortune ourselves. You know that belongs to God. Now, some rejoice,

Speaker 1: others resist. The Gospel exposes pride, jealousy, and insecurity, and

Speaker 1: Paul and Barnabas are about to face serious pushback.
