- 0:09Speaker 1: Ye it's time no Lo Lo lo love and lo all.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show. Up your host,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Rob Shooter. It is Wednesday morning, and my heart is
- 0:21Speaker 1: exploding with joy. We're at the top of the charts.
- 0:24Speaker 1: The number of people who have bought my book. It's
- 0:26Speaker 1: just overwhelmeding. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I feel
- 0:30Speaker 1: like the luckiest guy in the world. When you put
- 0:32Speaker 1: out a book, you hope it selves, you hope people
- 0:34Speaker 1: enjoy it, you hope people buy it. You have and
- 0:37Speaker 1: I cannot be any more happy. A friend of mine
- 0:41Speaker 1: tells me in the NASA Library system, there's a twelve
- 0:44Speaker 1: week wait. Let's see if we can help that and
- 0:46Speaker 1: maybe send them a few books. But thank you, thank you,
- 0:49Speaker 1: thank you. I was on Good Morning America yesterday with
- 0:53Speaker 1: Will Reeve. That's Christopher Reeve's son, Superman, super nice guy.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And a shout out to all the staff, all the
- 1:00Speaker 1: people behind the scenes. On those morning shows on TV
- 1:03Speaker 1: you only get to see the three four people on camera.
- 1:06Speaker 1: There is an army of people behind the cameras who
- 1:09Speaker 1: are just brilliant, just so kind and gracious and smart.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I loved it. I've done a lot of TV shows
- 1:16Speaker 1: but ABCGMA, Wow, one of the best in the business.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Tonight I'm on good Night New York. That's exciting. And
- 1:26Speaker 1: then tomorrow I'm gonna be on our friend Elvis Terran's
- 1:29Speaker 1: radio show around eight am. If you're listening to Elvis tomorrow.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Once again, my heart is bursting. I am loving seeing
- 1:37Speaker 1: all the social media posts. If you did buy a book,
- 1:40Speaker 1: take a picture of the book, take a picture with
- 1:42Speaker 1: the book, post it tag me. I'd love to see it.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It's so so much fun. My goodness, I'm so used
- 1:49Speaker 1: to not being the star of the show. I was
- 1:52Speaker 1: just talking to my sister Christine. When we were little,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Christine was the star and I was the stage manager.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I was the backup singer. I was in the background.
- 2:01Speaker 1: This wasn't I was a backup dancer. I wasn't. I
- 2:04Speaker 1: wasn't the main person. And it feels kind of a
- 2:08Speaker 1: little uncomfortable, but also just absolutely delicious that it's my moment.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And then in my career, I was never number one.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It was always about Perez Hilton. Perez was the star.
- 2:19Speaker 1: He was willing to say much more controversial things than
- 2:23Speaker 1: I would, really cruel things to. Perez has a troubled history,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and if you look back at some of the things
- 2:28Speaker 1: he's done and said, even Perez admits that he's embarrassed
- 2:31Speaker 1: about a lot of it. I'm glad I didn't go
- 2:33Speaker 1: down that road, but it gave him the spotlight, a
- 2:36Speaker 1: spotlight that was not shining on me until today. My friends,
- 2:41Speaker 1: I feel it. It's warm, it's glowing, it's welcoming, and
- 2:44Speaker 1: it's all coming from you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And if you haven't yet purchased, I can't help myself.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If you haven't yet purchased, Dick a copy of it
- 2:54Speaker 1: started with a whisper, try and get it this weekend.
- 2:57Speaker 1: The numbers for my book on Monday or Tuesday, and
- 3:02Speaker 1: that will determine if I become a New York Times bestseller.
- 3:05Speaker 1: My publisher tells me, it's really really hard to get
- 3:08Speaker 1: on that list. It's so hard, particularly with a novel
- 3:11Speaker 1: of first novel about gossip. It's something that Times doesn't
- 3:15Speaker 1: really embrace. They think of themselves as very good, fancy,
- 3:18Speaker 1: a little bit lead, a little bit snobby over there.
- 3:21Speaker 1: And so for me to get on the New York
- 3:22Speaker 1: Times bestseller list is a possibility. It is not a given.
- 3:26Speaker 1: It's going to take a lot of hard work. We've
- 3:28Speaker 1: put the work in noughties, and so if you are
- 3:31Speaker 1: thinking about buying it, please let me push you to
- 3:33Speaker 1: get it this weekend, today, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, because
- 3:37Speaker 1: that might push us over the edge into New York
- 3:41Speaker 1: Times Best Oh, I'll be impossible. Can you imagine if
- 3:45Speaker 1: I become a New York Times bestselling warfer? I'm ridiculous
- 3:49Speaker 1: without the title, with the honor. Now, I promise you,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I will try. I promise you I will still be me. Okay,
- 3:57Speaker 1: let's jump into our show. What time is it? My friends?
- 3:59Speaker 1: It is tea time big story. At the top of
- 4:01Speaker 1: the show, the royals have reunited to honor Queen Elizabeth
- 4:05Speaker 1: and what would have been one hundred birthday. So Kate
- 4:07Speaker 1: and William joined the King and the Queen to pay
- 4:10Speaker 1: tribute to Queen Elizabeth the Second on what would have
- 4:13Speaker 1: been her one hundredth birthday, marking the milestone with heartfelt
- 4:18Speaker 1: messages and family memories. The Prince and Princess of Wales
- 4:22Speaker 1: shared really beautiful throwback pictures featuring their children alongside the monarch.
- 4:27Speaker 1: We forget she was the Queen, but she was also
- 4:30Speaker 1: a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and to see
- 4:34Speaker 1: her with the children, it's just so special because the
- 4:37Speaker 1: children don't know she's the queen, that's their great granny,
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's their granny or their great granny. They don't know
- 4:43Speaker 1: that the lady sitting with them is the queen, and
- 4:47Speaker 1: so it is just so beautiful celebrating her legacy of
- 4:51Speaker 1: duty and devotion. You don't get to see that much,
- 4:53Speaker 1: do you anymore. I think it's a lost quality. Let's
- 4:56Speaker 1: try and bring that back. I love duty, I love devotion,
- 4:59Speaker 1: I love law. I had a book party on Monday night.
- 5:02Speaker 1: My publisher threw me a book party at Haven rooftop
- 5:06Speaker 1: at the Sanctuary Hotel, and it was full of colleagues.
- 5:09Speaker 1: It wasn't a friends and family signing event. This was
- 5:13Speaker 1: much more of an industry event. Lots of other columnists, there,
- 5:17Speaker 1: lots of people in the TV business. It really was
- 5:19Speaker 1: sort of like a working opportunity to promote the book.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I promise you, I'm planning to do something for Naughty's
- 5:25Speaker 1: for people who want to get the book signed. A
- 5:27Speaker 1: real party, not a party to help promote me or
- 5:30Speaker 1: about connections. That's what New York is about. It's so transactional.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I want just a night of friends and just chilled out.
- 5:37Speaker 1: So I'm going to find a place that we can
- 5:39Speaker 1: do that, and I'll certainly let you know. And you're
- 5:41Speaker 1: all welcome. Come with your books. I promise we'll sign
- 5:44Speaker 1: them and take pictures. But at this industry party, it
- 5:47Speaker 1: was so interesting because I looked around the room and
- 5:51Speaker 1: I felt a devotion and a duty and a kindness
- 5:55Speaker 1: and a loyalty to the people in the room. I
- 5:57Speaker 1: was really proud to say I've known a lot of
- 5:59Speaker 1: people in that room one to In fact, more than
- 6:01Speaker 1: fifty percent of that room I've known for twenty or
- 6:03Speaker 1: thirty years. Hold on to people. It's lovely to see
- 6:06Speaker 1: that the Queen really did value this. Charles delivered a
- 6:10Speaker 1: really emotional message reflecting on his mother's lifelong service and
- 6:16Speaker 1: the profound impact that she had across generations and the Commonwealth.
- 6:20Speaker 1: A Buckingham Palace reception brought all the senior royals together
- 6:24Speaker 1: to honor the historic moment, complete with one hundred birthday cake.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Oh it is so beautiful, isn't it. They also brought
- 6:35Speaker 1: other people centenarians. Is that how you pronounced that? Centenarians?
- 6:39Speaker 1: People who were one hundred or just turning one hundred
- 6:41Speaker 1: to celebrate this magnificent day. I was lucky enough to
- 6:44Speaker 1: have some friends who were invited, and they said it
- 6:46Speaker 1: was just this is the Royalty at the best I
- 6:49Speaker 1: get it. We loved a gossip about Harry Omegan. What's
- 6:52Speaker 1: going on? The King arrives in America in a few
- 6:55Speaker 1: days or all talking about that, which is very good
- 6:58Speaker 1: for my book. Let me at because I'm going to
- 7:00Speaker 1: be one with a TV next week talking about the King.
- 7:03Speaker 1: So if you want to book me on TV, hello Helloa, No,
- 7:06Speaker 1: you know how to contact me, and you've got to
- 7:07Speaker 1: promote my book. As long as you flashed that cover
- 7:10Speaker 1: of my book, I'll do any show. I really really will.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Oh did you see on Good Morning America They asked
- 7:15Speaker 1: us about our greeting allawa laoallou. They asked us how
- 7:18Speaker 1: that came about, and I told the truth. I don't
- 7:21Speaker 1: know if I've ever told you this story, Norties. When
- 7:23Speaker 1: I was a little boy, I used to always say
- 7:25Speaker 1: allaowa la alao. That's how I greeted people. I had
- 7:27Speaker 1: a bit of a lisp was a little boy, and
- 7:28Speaker 1: I was a little bit shy but I'd say yalloa
- 7:30Speaker 1: la lalaou, and then other kids would would make fun
- 7:33Speaker 1: of me, and I stopped choosing it. I just thought, oh,
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't want to be odd, I don't want to
- 7:38Speaker 1: be unusual. I don't want to stand out. So then
- 7:40Speaker 1: I just said hi. But then when the podcast came
- 7:43Speaker 1: back and we're talking thirty forty years later, they put
- 7:48Speaker 1: the mic in front of my face and I sat
- 7:50Speaker 1: down to a test show at iHeart and it was
- 7:52Speaker 1: five four three two one, You're live, and I just said,
- 7:55Speaker 1: allow a lao alao. That's the first thing that fell out,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I think because I was nervous. When you're nervous, you
- 8:01Speaker 1: click back, don't you your childhood or habits or something
- 8:04Speaker 1: that feels comfortable. So whenever I hear alao a laalau,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I feel really comfortable. And so Gma asked me about
- 8:11Speaker 1: that was really fun to talk about it on television.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But what do you think this family clicked back into
- 8:16Speaker 1: the royal family. They were all there, Harry and Meghan
- 8:19Speaker 1: were not there. That's something that's interesting. I'm told they
- 8:22Speaker 1: were not invited. They did not ask to go. Had
- 8:24Speaker 1: they asked, they would have been sold. Yes, But this
- 8:27Speaker 1: was a working event. Once again, It's confusing, isn't it,
- 8:30Speaker 1: because people here. I had a book party on Monday night,
- 8:33Speaker 1: my friends, some of my real friends, not show busy friends.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Real friends didn't come. Bruce didn't come because it wasn't
- 8:41Speaker 1: that night. It wasn't a night of friends and family
- 8:44Speaker 1: were doing that on Friday. Bruce is gonna throw me
- 8:47Speaker 1: a little dinner with our real friends on Friday. I
- 8:49Speaker 1: can't wait. This was a transactional event. This was about
- 8:55Speaker 1: working together on stuff. And so these parties, these receptions
- 9:00Speaker 1: at the palace, they are a working event. In fact,
- 9:02Speaker 1: you should not think of Buckingham Palace as a home.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It's an office the family, the royal family don't really
- 9:08Speaker 1: think of Buckingham Palace as somewhere where they live. It's
- 9:11Speaker 1: basically the office, the office building for the institution, the
- 9:16Speaker 1: business of the monarchy. And so it was their So
- 9:20Speaker 1: if you weren't invited, Harry and Meghan, let's hope there's
- 9:23Speaker 1: going to be some private event that you are invited to,
- 9:26Speaker 1: which brings us to that pole question of the day.
- 9:28Speaker 1: The Royals did you night to honor Queen Elizabeth on
- 9:31Speaker 1: what would have been her hundredth birthday had me birthday?
- 9:35Speaker 1: Should they have invited Harry and Meghan? I mean, they
- 9:38Speaker 1: wouldn't have hurt. I hate families falling out, don't you.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I'm lucky. I'm really close with my sister Christine and
- 9:44Speaker 1: my mom. My dad has passed away, But since my
- 9:46Speaker 1: dad passed away, me and Christine have got even closer.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I talk to my mom every day. I'm not so
- 9:50Speaker 1: close to my other brothers and sisters. I have three
- 9:53Speaker 1: older brothers and sisters that I just don't have the
- 9:55Speaker 1: same feelings towards. They're at least ten twelve years older
- 10:00Speaker 1: than Christine and I, so when I was growing up,
- 10:02Speaker 1: when I was a little boy, they were out of
- 10:04Speaker 1: the house. When I was seven, they were like seventeen, eighteen, nineteen,
- 10:09Speaker 1: maybe twenty, and so they've already left home. So I
- 10:11Speaker 1: don't have any memory of growing up with them. In fact,
- 10:13Speaker 1: in a certain way, they feel more like friends and
- 10:16Speaker 1: my parents than my brothers and sisters. But I would
- 10:19Speaker 1: invite them. I would have invited them, so, even though
- 10:21Speaker 1: we're not super close, I think an invite is sometimes
- 10:24Speaker 1: a nice thing to do. What do you think here?
- 10:27Speaker 1: Should they have invited Harry and Meghan Hayyo boot on
- 10:30Speaker 1: our Twitter paid and Naudy and Noise Rob Facebook pating
- 10:33Speaker 1: Aorty gossip. I'm be sure to check back to my
- 10:36Speaker 1: road to hear yet your results. Now, if you're wondering
- 10:38Speaker 1: why I've been doing solo shows this week, it is
- 10:41Speaker 1: nothing to do with Garrett. It's nothing to do with Delaana,
- 10:45Speaker 1: It's nothing to do with Donnie. It's all me. My
- 10:47Speaker 1: schedule has been so up and down because I'm promoting
- 10:50Speaker 1: this book every single day. I'm doing different TV, different podcasts,
- 10:54Speaker 1: different interviews. It's not fair for me to ask the
- 10:57Speaker 1: team members, the co hosts, to get up at the
- 10:59Speaker 1: wee hours of the morning your tape very late at night.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You know how devoted I am to this podcast. We
- 11:05Speaker 1: never miss it. Even even when I was traveling, even
- 11:07Speaker 1: when I was back in Britain for my father's funeral,
- 11:10Speaker 1: we did a show every single day. I take it
- 11:13Speaker 1: very seriously and I really, really really appreciate you listening
- 11:17Speaker 1: every day. I love to us getting together for twenty
- 11:19Speaker 1: minutes just each day. It's nice, isn't it. It's like
- 11:22Speaker 1: a little bit of a good habit we've all formed,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and so I'm very consistent. I'm very insistent about doing
- 11:29Speaker 1: this show. But the reason that delay now, the reason Donnie,
- 11:33Speaker 1: the reason Garrett have not done shows this week is
- 11:35Speaker 1: my crazy schedule. I'm not sure even if Mark will
- 11:38Speaker 1: be able to do the show tomorrow because when we
- 11:41Speaker 1: are taping the show, when we normally tape the show
- 11:43Speaker 1: in the mornings, I'm going to be on Elvis Durand tomorrow,
- 11:47Speaker 1: So I'm gonna have to figure out a way to
- 11:48Speaker 1: either pre tape the show the night before or get
- 11:51Speaker 1: up super early and bang out an episode before I
- 11:54Speaker 1: rush up town to Elvis. But it's not fair to
- 11:56Speaker 1: mess mess Mark about. I hate that, don't you When
- 11:59Speaker 1: people people, I just don't like it. I don't like
- 12:02Speaker 1: being messed about. I don't miss other people about. So
- 12:04Speaker 1: it's my schedule. It's my craziness this week. Thank you
- 12:07Speaker 1: for understanding. Okay, moving long, Where are we here? Harry
- 12:11Speaker 1: Styles and Zoe Kravitz having ignited engagement rumors, they were
- 12:17Speaker 1: spotted with a ring or she was spotted with a
- 12:19Speaker 1: ring on that massive finger as they walked around London together.
- 12:22Speaker 1: They're a low clea couple. They're often spotted out caps sunglasses.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They can live in London undercover pretty much. I think
- 12:28Speaker 1: people know it's them when they walk down the streets,
- 12:31Speaker 1: but a lot of people don't bother them. However, the
- 12:33Speaker 1: Sparkles Sparkler that told a different story. They were walking
- 12:37Speaker 1: hand in hand and they are together, very much together,
- 12:41Speaker 1: very happy, but this ring. Now, sources tell me they
- 12:44Speaker 1: do not believe the couple is engaged. He might have
- 12:47Speaker 1: surprised her and not told anybody, and he's the type
- 12:50Speaker 1: of guy to do that. He's very private, he does
- 12:53Speaker 1: not have loose lips. And Zoe's sort of cool and
- 12:55Speaker 1: laid back too, and so my sources said they don't
- 12:58Speaker 1: know yet, but they don't believe it's happened. Although that
- 13:01Speaker 1: is one big ring on the finger. Neather Camp have
- 13:05Speaker 1: confirmed the engagement, but the chatter it is loud, loud, lad.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'll keep you in the loop, Okay, moving along. Kylie
- 13:13Speaker 1: Jenner has been hit with a lawsuit as a former
- 13:15Speaker 1: housekeeper alleges discrimination and a hostile OOH workplace. Kylie, the
- 13:22Speaker 1: youngest Kardashian Jenna, is facing legal trouble after a former
- 13:26Speaker 1: housekeeper filed a lawsuit claiming she had endured discrimination and
- 13:32Speaker 1: mistreatment while working at the Stars California Homes with an
- 13:37Speaker 1: s not one home, please Homes. Angelica Velesquez alleges she
- 13:43Speaker 1: was targeted over her religion and national origin, describing the
- 13:49Speaker 1: workplace filled with hostility, exclusion, and humiliation at the hands
- 13:54Speaker 1: of other staff members. That's interesting, She's not saying Kylie
- 13:58Speaker 1: abused her here, saying other staff members did so. According
- 14:03Speaker 1: to court filings, ve Lesquis says she was assigned the
- 14:07Speaker 1: toughest tasks, mocked for her accent, and subjected to repeated
- 14:12Speaker 1: defamatory remarks awful. She also claims the environment led to
- 14:17Speaker 1: anxiety and symptoms consistent with PTSD before she resigned in
- 14:24Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Kardashian's team Jenna's team has not publicly
- 14:28Speaker 1: responded to these While the accusations are directed at staff, Kylie,
- 14:33Speaker 1: Jenna is named in the lawsuit for allegedly failing to
- 14:37Speaker 1: address the complaints. The book has to stop with you,
- 14:40Speaker 1: doesn't it. If your name is on the business, if
- 14:43Speaker 1: your name is above the front door of the shop,
- 14:45Speaker 1: it is your business. I have people that work with
- 14:48Speaker 1: me here at Naughty but Nice, but it's my company,
- 14:51Speaker 1: it's my brand, and people that work with me know
- 14:53Speaker 1: how I like to run my ship, and if they
- 14:55Speaker 1: don't run it the way I like, then the s trouble.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I don't have disrespect, I don't have meanness. We don't
- 15:01Speaker 1: make fun of people's accents here on the Naughty but
- 15:04Speaker 1: Nice Show or the Naughty but Nike Company. So Kylie,
- 15:07Speaker 1: it is your house, literally your house. Get your own
- 15:11Speaker 1: house in order. You're the bus. Okay, we're gonna take
- 15:16Speaker 1: a quick break and we will be right back. Welcome
- 15:19Speaker 1: back to the a Naughty but Nice. I'm your house.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I'm shooter. Hey, let's get to the polls. Do D
- 15:25Speaker 1: last show, we talked about Ann Hathaway big names the
- 15:27Speaker 1: world's most beautiful person. Do you agree? Sixty percent said
- 15:32Speaker 1: yes you do. It's tricky, isn't this. I hate these
- 15:36Speaker 1: stories on who's the prettiest because then then there's a
- 15:39Speaker 1: debate about it. Who is pretty? Who isn't pretty? I
- 15:42Speaker 1: know looks so important. Yesterday when I was on TV,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I had hair and makeup and I wanted to look
- 15:47Speaker 1: my best. But it can't be everything. The reason I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: not a beauty, I'm not a really handsome guy. I'm average.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I'm good looking enough as one TV executive once told
- 15:58Speaker 1: me to my face, I know passed out. I'm good
- 16:01Speaker 1: looking enough if I'm aware of who I am. But
- 16:05Speaker 1: we bring something else the table, our talents, our wit,
- 16:08Speaker 1: our sense of humor, and so our skill set. And
- 16:12Speaker 1: so when you when you single somebody out and call
- 16:14Speaker 1: them the most beautiful person in the world, I don't know,
- 16:17Speaker 1: maybe I'm being silly. What do you think about that? One?
- 16:20Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know, feels like a miscongeniality.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I love that movie, but it feels like a beauty
- 16:26Speaker 1: pageant is maybe not not the coolest thing anymore. Now,
- 16:30Speaker 1: what do you think about that? Oh? Another question? Okay,
- 16:33Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's pob the official pole,
- 16:36Speaker 1: not the one that I'm just confused matters with the
- 16:38Speaker 1: very very official pills. Should they invite it Harry and
- 16:41Speaker 1: Meghan to the Queen's one hundred birthday celebrations? What do
- 16:45Speaker 1: you think about that? Hey, you go vote on our
- 16:47Speaker 1: Twitter page at Naughty Nice rob our Facebook pages Looky Gossip.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I'm sure to check back down my row to hear
- 16:54Speaker 1: your results. And now, oh, it's time for the Nicest
- 16:58Speaker 1: of the Day. Nicest in the Day's Victoria Beckham. She
- 17:02Speaker 1: was on a morning show and obviously she was asked
- 17:04Speaker 1: about her son Brooklyn the feud there, and she said, quote,
- 17:07Speaker 1: we always protect our children. So she was speaking carefully
- 17:10Speaker 1: but clearly, as her family's ongoing rift is making headlines
- 17:15Speaker 1: and son Brooklyn continues to not talk to the family.
- 17:19Speaker 1: In her first TV interview since the fallout, she emphasized
- 17:23Speaker 1: one message, family comes first. She said the following quote,
- 17:26Speaker 1: we always put the children first. Now, she didn't mention
- 17:30Speaker 1: any of the kids by name, but she did say
- 17:33Speaker 1: it is a challenging year. It certainly has been, and
- 17:36Speaker 1: she's leaned on her tight knit support system, including both
- 17:41Speaker 1: sides of her family. Oh, this story with her son,
- 17:44Speaker 1: it is so hard when a parent and a child
- 17:48Speaker 1: fall out. That bond is so tight, it's so magical.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It can also be so toxic and so dangerous, and
- 17:55Speaker 1: so it makes me really really sad here. But I
- 17:57Speaker 1: thought Victoria handled it with Gray. She didn't insist they
- 18:01Speaker 1: could not ask the question. Sometimes celebrities do that. I'll
- 18:04Speaker 1: do the interview, but you can't talk about this. That's
- 18:06Speaker 1: what Sarah Jessica Parky used to do about Kim Cattrell.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You can't talk about Kim Cantrell. That's the only thing
- 18:11Speaker 1: I want to talk about, Cera. What happened? And so
- 18:14Speaker 1: they asked the question. She had a prepared answer, I'm
- 18:16Speaker 1: sure as she went over it with her lawyers and
- 18:18Speaker 1: her publicist and her friends and her husband and other
- 18:21Speaker 1: family members. It was a good answer. It was a
- 18:23Speaker 1: good answer, sort of like a no answer, but a
- 18:25Speaker 1: good answer. We always put our children first. And then
- 18:28Speaker 1: she moved on. They had to ask, okay, now I
- 18:31Speaker 1: noticed the day naughteen, naughty, naughty Sydney Sweeney has been
- 18:34Speaker 1: cut from The Devil Wears Prada at the last minute.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So she filmed an appearance, did the work, got paid
- 18:40Speaker 1: for it, and now she has been edited. So they
- 18:42Speaker 1: said it didn't fit in with the final structure of
- 18:45Speaker 1: the movie. That's how movies are made. There was a
- 18:47Speaker 1: scene where she was playing herself and she was styled
- 18:50Speaker 1: by Emily Blunt's very iconic character, but the moment didn't
- 18:54Speaker 1: fit in with the film's structure. Some people are saying
- 18:56Speaker 1: it's backlash because of her politics and those very controversial
- 19:00Speaker 1: ads that she's been in. But this is awful, isn't it.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I hate it when you do the work. It happens
- 19:05Speaker 1: in life, doesn't it. You've worked so hard and it
- 19:07Speaker 1: gets cart or not appreciated, and so maybe we'll see
- 19:10Speaker 1: it as an outtake. But it's not in the movie.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Miss de sawda movie on Monday nights. I can't wait
- 19:16Speaker 1: to talk to her today. I'll let you know all
- 19:18Speaker 1: about it tomorrow. Hey, let's end with a moment of
- 19:21Speaker 1: rub a rub you a rubbi you and rub. You
- 19:23Speaker 1: don't lack discipline, You're just listening to doubt at the
- 19:26Speaker 1: wrong moment. You don't need any more willpower, you don't
- 19:30Speaker 1: need any more confidence. What's really happening is this Right
- 19:36Speaker 1: when it's time to act, doubt shows up. It sounds logical.
- 19:41Speaker 1: It tells you to wait, to think more or to
- 19:43Speaker 1: try later, So you stop. That's important. That's what doubt does.
- 19:48Speaker 1: It makes you stop. That's not a discipline problem. That's
- 19:53Speaker 1: a timing problem. Discipline is acting even when doubt is there,
- 19:58Speaker 1: not after it goes away. Everyone you admire, everyone out
- 20:03Speaker 1: there that you think is just wonderful. I promise you
- 20:05Speaker 1: feels the same hesitation, the differences they move anyway. I'm
- 20:09Speaker 1: not smarter than you, I'm no more talented. Than you.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I just keep moving. I hear that doubt in my
- 20:15Speaker 1: mind every day before I go on GMA. I heard
- 20:18Speaker 1: it in my dressing room. I was with my friend
- 20:20Speaker 1: Val and I got like a little bit in my
- 20:22Speaker 1: own head. I stopped, because that is what we have
- 20:26Speaker 1: to do. Doubt is still there, but it gets quieter
- 20:30Speaker 1: once you begin. Once I began, once I sat down
- 20:33Speaker 1: on the set, once the lights hit me, I still
- 20:36Speaker 1: add that doubt, but it did get a lot quieter
- 20:39Speaker 1: once I began. Start, Start, start, start once again. You
- 20:44Speaker 1: do not lack discipline. You're just listening to doubt at
- 20:48Speaker 1: the wrong moment. Hey, that is it for today. Thank
- 20:51Speaker 1: you so much for listening to the Naughty but Nice
- 20:53Speaker 1: with the Rob and Naught show. You're the co host
- 20:55Speaker 1: today at production of Elves Durand and I heard radio
- 20:59Speaker 1: don't forget to follow on substack robshooter dot substack dot com.
- 21:02Speaker 1: And also to my new novel. I'm so proud of it.
- 21:05Speaker 1: It started with a whisper is available right now. And remember,
- 21:09Speaker 1: let me hear your singing, your along. If you're going
- 21:12Speaker 1: to bring water, if you have to s
