- 0:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: So what's your go-to equipment for everybody?
- 0:03SPEAKER_06: I personally love a board, but I only love it when I'm with people that I know very well.
- 0:10SPEAKER_06: Being for me, it's my own body because I'm um psychic medium.
- 0:16SPEAKER_06: I don't actually need any equipment, but I know there are people in the room that do.
- 0:20SPEAKER_06: So I'm just happy to sit there and and um sit and feel what I get.
- 0:24SPEAKER_06: If I was to use a bit of equipment, then it would I it would be the board that I would go to first, just because you can get so much information from them.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:36SPEAKER_04: I don't really.
- 0:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, I don't like you, I do like the board.
- 0:40SPEAKER_04: I don't no, I don't really have I don't really have anything because I'm the same.
- 0:44SPEAKER_04: I I'd rather just sit there quietly.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: You started doing the um pendulum, yeah.
- 0:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I've started doing that with the the crystal pendulum, but I actually I do like to sit there quite since you can tell because I'm quiet.
- 0:56SPEAKER_04: I like to sit there quietly to see if what if I can hear anything, feel anything, just soak up whatever's there.
- 1:06SPEAKER_04: But equipment-wise, I wouldn't say I've got a favourite, I'm open to all of it, really.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: I think I've already answered mine.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: You look like you're thinking pretty hard over there, but yeah, we know your answer already.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: But um, you know, just it it's just that it can even people that have been to a lot of events.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Because we had a group that that went to our last event, and there was there were five experienced sort of ghost hunters, and they didn't use the the rods very much.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: We got so much response from it that they were really sort of blown by the effect it has because they had all the electronics and all these different bits of gear, didn't really get a lot out of that, but my god, did those rods move for them?
- 1:55SPEAKER_04: Um yeah, they did say they were gonna get there.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but yeah, you know, it is it is I just find it so simple to use and so effective, and I think that's that's why I I like it because I'm quite a simple person, so if it's simple, it's all that much better.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean I use a digital recorder, that's my main go-to.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: You always forget, don't we?
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: What was that?
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Sorry, yeah, for EVP's digital recorder.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean something we need to do more of.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: I do I do way too much, so um, I have my recorder going the whole time because you never know.
- 2:34SPEAKER_06: So, yeah, I think for us, the but because we've all got day jobs, we haven't got the time to sit down and go through it afterwards.
- 2:41SPEAKER_06: So if we haven't got time to re to go through it, there seems little point recording it really, because we're not gonna just ask Brian, what's the what's the sort of best thing that you've had from that?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Uh Madison Seminary is pretty big up here.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Those are some of my best EVPs.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: Uh, I had a one of my group members never did an investigation before, so we took her.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: So we took her up into the attic.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: It's a huge room.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Um, a cat ball went off like 10 feet behind her.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: She jumped, she got scared, screamed, everything.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: She was done for the night.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Uh, we went back probably two months later, and I said, You need to go do a solo up there and just face your fears.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: She wouldn't.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Um, she took her girlfriend up there, and she was explaining that what happened to her, the cat ball, and how she jumped.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: She actually tore her calf muscle jumping the first time.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Um, so as she was explaining this female voice, I did that.
- 3:45SPEAKER_06: Oh wow.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: Wow, that's brilliant.
- 3:47SPEAKER_06: That's oh, that's maybe go all goosebumps.
- 3:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I love that.
- 3:50SPEAKER_06: We really must do EVP.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Yes, we must.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: I'm not digital record, but I don't know how to use it.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: What do you think, Brian, that they they see of us, the spirits?
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: What do you think they get from us?
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think it's kind of like humans, they look at everybody looks at us different.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I think some out there want to get their story out.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and I think some just want to be left alone.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: You know, I think some look at us like not your group or me, hopefully, like what are these idiots doing?
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, I do sometimes wonder when we go to the places which have been very overused, perhaps, sometimes.
- 4:34SPEAKER_02: And you know, I do wonder if they like just think, Oh god, not that again, go away, leave us alone, sort of thing.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: But um, we do we do ask that question, you know.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: If they want if you want us to leave us alone, leave you alone, then let us know that as well.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: So, you know, they've got the option.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's one thing you do.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: You ask, and they say, you know, I'm like, hit that rampart if you want us to leave, and it hits a rampart, we're gone, like we're leaving.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, all right.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: That's that's part of the respect thing, you know.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: You have to you have to understand that they they well, I don't know.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: That's why I wonder sometimes what they see of us or hear of us, because I don't know if it's just our souls they see, or if they see us as shapes.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: Well, some of them do and some of them don't.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: Um, so I've asked a few times because they quite often have had different responses when Emma's come to see her, what were our groups doing and that sort of thing, and they sort of see Emma perhaps more than they see some of us because of her, she's I don't know, her power or whatever.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: They seem to see her as a brighter image, and perhaps they do have a bit.
- 5:37SPEAKER_06: We've actually had them refuse to speak when I've been in the room before now, haven't we?
- 5:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we had that, yeah.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that they because they're almost like startled because this is all of a sudden this is something that really comes across to them that they see.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Um and we when she left the room, we have actually asked on the board what you know did that figure impact you, and then they started talking again, and they just sort of said, Yeah, you know, it was a bright light called a brighter image that startled them.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: And so I do think you know, probably see us in different ways.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I think if you if you're again a negative person, then they probably don't really see you.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: You know, that negativity, they probably just see a maybe a dot or a nothing.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Whereas I think the more open you are and the more you you're with it, they probably see much that much more of you.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's interesting because you know a lot of people think like spirits are in a different dimension, you know, than we are.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: So if you're in a different dimension, are they seeing us like we're seeing them, and vice versa?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Like yeah, yeah, I mean, that's the thing, isn't it?
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: You know, we we assume that they're seeing us because we're in the now, but their now could still be the now to them if you're with me.
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: So we're maybe interrupting their dimension, so they're just with people like Emma can see them, whereas we can't, but they can see Emma more than they can see us.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: They maybe hear us, or they maybe feel us, our emotions very similar, but you know, I don't I don't it that's one of the things that I'm I find fascinating is to what they get from us.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So as usual, we have more questions and answers.
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's all that's what it's all about.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: That's why it's fascinating.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: No, it is, it makes you think.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I would like to think that you know, because of that, we had with Emma when you know they came into the room.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: She came into the room and it went completely silent.
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: Everything that was happening just stopped, and we just asked after she'd gone, you know, did you see that figure um brighter than us?
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: And that you know, it was a sort of reconfirm that this was something that actually shocked them.
- 7:55SPEAKER_06: And it wasn't just in that building, was it?
- 7:57SPEAKER_06: We've had it twice now in two different places that that's happened.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: So, you know, that's that made me consider as to what they see.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: I think I think you know, the normal person they'll see as maybe a shape, maybe a spirit, maybe a figure, but I think you know, obviously, the somebody that's closer to that realm, they'll see a lot a lot deeper, a lot more contrast in their world, in their dimension.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Uh that's it's gonna make me think now for a while.
- 8:30SPEAKER_05: So man.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: All right, so talking about like you having to leave the room sometimes.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Do you guys find that sometimes like a female team compared to a male team will get more responses in certain locations?
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we had that 10 cellar.
- 8:49SPEAKER_02: We had a we had a brilliant one actually.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: We had a uh spirit in the cellar in a pub in Leighton Buzzard, and um he was contacting with the women, but not the men.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: So we were using the rods, and if a man went on, no, he didn't want to know.
- 9:09SPEAKER_02: Soon as a lady went on, it was moving its way and that way, he was answering all the questions, he was having a laugh with them.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: Um, and he just enjoyed talking to the ladies.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's just having he just seemed to really enjoy it, but it was really odd how that happened.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: Um, we've got a lot of information about him and what happened to him and lots of different things that were through the night.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: It was very interesting, but um, I think it this depends on the spirit.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: I think, and I was asked this question by these ladies here as to whether they think the the customers have more respect for men, which can be a help, but I just think it's the person, you know, I just think it was how we deal with it.
- 9:53SPEAKER_04: It's more as if you're taking more seriously as a man, wasn't it?
- 9:58SPEAKER_04: Something like that, yeah.
- 9:59SPEAKER_06: Because um there's more women that are spiritual than men.
- 10:04SPEAKER_06: Um so yeah, it it's just without sending the sound and sexist, because I hate to go.
- 10:14SPEAKER_05: I'm always outnumbered, I'm always outnumbered, Brian.
- 10:17SPEAKER_06: Help.
- 10:20SPEAKER_06: No, I just think if you've got male investigators and you've got people turning up for an event, I think they're taken much more seriously than women that can be perceived as being a little bit hairy-fairy and like head in the clouds type of thing, which we're maybe not, which we're not, not at all, but I do think men are taken more seriously in the paranormal world.
- 10:43SPEAKER_06: Don't look at me like that.
- 10:45SPEAKER_06: I don't know, I don't know.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: I think it's very equal.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it's Deborah Lynn asked, Why do you think a dark spirit would hang around?
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: Unfinished business, maybe I think that's the same, be it dark or light.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: I think they've got something to say.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: There's something I'm that I haven't completed in their cycle.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: So we have what we have Fairfield County.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: I just think that's that's the reason.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: You know, they don't want to leave because it's unfinished business.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, we have one place here called Fairfield County Infirmary.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: Um, there's supposedly a spirit called the superintendent there, which was in charge of the whole place.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: It kind of feels like he's there because like he was the man there.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was a poor house, and it was not well, you know, we're investigating places from way back in the day, men were superior, that's what they were looked at.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, women were inferior.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: So that's what I think you have to have a good mix in your group of women and men.
- 11:53SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, Neil, you're you look like a pretty big dude, too.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: So I mean, I'm sure when you walk into a place, some women's spirits might be like, you know, hocker down, you know.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: I think I think as I say, I I like to think that my humour and my positive energy is the things that they're going to respond to the most.
- 12:17SPEAKER_06: And we we sorry, we have a place called the Sun, which we we we do regular events at, and upstairs there's a gentleman in there called John, and he's quite a big burly man, and there's also a lady in there who was his mistress for want of a better word, and he doesn't like any men talking to her.
- 12:38SPEAKER_06: And if you're on a board, we did a live stream once on a on a board, and we were talking away, and one of the men actually got on the board, and this guy, John, he stepped onto the board and he just got really angry.
- 12:52SPEAKER_06: So we had to take the guy off the board and carry on, and we then had to close it down because he just did not want anybody, any man, talking to his lady, and he kind of controlled the whole night.
- 13:04SPEAKER_06: He wouldn't let us do anything if there were men involved.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sorry, I'm really some cards.
- 13:10SPEAKER_02: I think also I've had spirits joining in the joke.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: And I remember one time I said something really stupid, and I after I said it, I asked the question.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: I realized how stupid the question was, and I just sort of like, Oh, I'm really sorry, I that's really and the the thing was pointing at me.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: The the rods from the they were holding just went and pointed at me as though you are an idiot, you know.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: You're right, and uh you know, I do think that they they respond to humor, and I do think they respond to that peasant positive energy, even if it's a negative spirit, I think you can outdo it.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: I really do.
- 13:45SPEAKER_04: I really do think that you can if you're positive, they feed off your energy, don't they?
- 13:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah, your positive energies can be more powerful than your negative.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: So, Neil, do you think that it like you being a big guy, like I said, but you're a positive guy.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: Does it take a little bit for them to warm up to you?
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Then you start getting some responses.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: As I say, I don't know what they see of us, so um, I'm I've not really had that.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: I think normally um I get quite a good response quite early, early, early doors.
- 14:22SPEAKER_02: You know, I don't think that is that is an issue.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Um I'm not an intimidating character like that on these events.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: You know, I I I have been told that I'm scary at times.
- 14:36SPEAKER_06: That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: But you know, these people will know that I'm not I'm I'm just very gentle, very gentle soul, and that's what I think comes over.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Uh so Deborah asked, What do you think that would make a dark spirit feel somewhat intimidated because of a person's size?
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: And would it make them want to interact with that person more?
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I'll answer that.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: No, I think you're talking back in the day, these men preyed on women um because they're women, but I think if a guy stepped up to them, they're a bully.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, in my opinion.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: So I think if a guy stepped up to a male dominant spirit, they would hunker down, most likely.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: That's what that's what I feel.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Um, we get that at Madison a lot, that they will mess with it.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: I think they can feel our emotions, yeah.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I think they can feel the way we are as people, and I think that probably overrides what we look like.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, I I mean I we've I've had it where what I feel are younger spirits I prefer to spoke to speak to younger people, and that perhaps they don't like they find the older people more intimidating or that the older energies.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: Um, I think we just had that, didn't we?
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: That young lad took over from his dad, didn't he?
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: And he got lots of response.
- 16:07SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: Um, because we thought it was a young young female, and she seemed to be willing to speak to the son, but not the dad.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: And I think you know, sometimes that what the person that they relate to the most is the person they're gonna contact.
- 16:22SPEAKER_04: So I think that can happen.
- 16:24SPEAKER_04: To how they see us, and if they don't see our physical body, they're not gonna see like how big or small you are, it's just on your energy.
- 16:33SPEAKER_04: That's how I see it.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Have you ever had a spirit talk to you?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And Emma, you can probably answer this, you know, talk to you, then another spirit won't let them talk anymore.
- 16:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:53SPEAKER_06: It happens quite a lot actually.
- 16:54SPEAKER_06: If you've got more than one spirit in the room, one will dominate the conversation without a doubt.
- 17:00SPEAKER_06: One is in charge and the other one sits back and listens.
- 17:04SPEAKER_06: Um, I'm just trying to think again.
- 17:06SPEAKER_06: That that obviously at the sun.
- 17:09SPEAKER_06: Um, but we had it at the Skirid as well, where we was in there was a spirit in the bathroom, and there was one in the front in the in the main bedroom area, and one was um shouting obscenities at us because we were talking to the one in the room.
- 17:26SPEAKER_04: But that was also a courthouse as well.
- 17:28SPEAKER_04: So, back to what you were saying earlier about the courthouse, the judge is supposed to be haunting there, isn't he?
- 17:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the hanging judge, yeah, yeah.
- 17:37SPEAKER_04: So he's obviously quite a figure.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: Because people were hung from the beams in there, so it was quite it's quite a kind of energy hot spot.
- 17:50SPEAKER_04: You're gonna have stronger spirits and weaker spirits, yeah.
- 17:53SPEAKER_04: You did get one that was taking over, yeah.
- 17:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, he was quite he was at the some of the words he was coming out with was actually quite bad.
- 18:02SPEAKER_06: Um shouting, shouting them.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about one thing we haven't talked about, and that's the Estus method.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: It's kind of big over here.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Do you guys use the Estus method over there?
- 18:15SPEAKER_06: We do.
- 18:16SPEAKER_06: I'm usually the one on the spirit box because not anybody and the rest of the team kind of find it hard to listen to, some of them, don't they?
- 18:23SPEAKER_06: Not all of them, but it you need practice on the on a spirit box because otherwise you just don't know what you're listening to.
- 18:30SPEAKER_04: I struggle.
- 18:30SPEAKER_06: But we actually did a a live stream beginning of this year back in January in an old um cellar.
- 18:40SPEAKER_06: And we were doing the you know, I was the one on the spirit box, blindfolded, headphones on, and I actually lost two or three minutes.
- 18:51SPEAKER_06: I went into a trance and I had to be I had to be brought back around again.
- 18:56SPEAKER_06: I have no recollection of what went on.
- 18:58SPEAKER_06: I have absolutely no idea where I was.
- 19:01SPEAKER_06: I didn't even realise I'd lost any time.
- 19:03SPEAKER_06: I thought I was just everything, time was just going along normally.
- 19:07SPEAKER_04: Um you were answering questions previous to it.
- 19:11SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:12SPEAKER_06: We were getting a lot of I can't even remember.
- 19:14SPEAKER_06: There was a was it a gentleman in there?
- 19:16SPEAKER_06: Because you were doing the rods to start with, weren't you?
- 19:18SPEAKER_06: And then we decided a spirit box.
- 19:20SPEAKER_06: Um, but yeah, that was that was really that's never happened to me.
- 19:24SPEAKER_06: I've only ever done one lot of trance meditation and I didn't like it, and I said I would never do it again, and that was voluntarily.
- 19:32SPEAKER_06: This just took over and I had no control over it whatsoever.
- 19:37SPEAKER_06: And it was quite worrying to think that if I was here on my own doing that, who would bring me back round again?
- 19:47SPEAKER_06: It was quite a scary thought to think that Halo would, would you?
- 19:51SPEAKER_06: Halo, yeah.
- 19:52SPEAKER_06: It just bite me.
- 19:56SPEAKER_06: So yeah, I'm I'm it's I love doing it, but I have learned that it's not something to do on your own anymore.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: No, that's probably not a good idea.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: But talk about alone.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Do you guys do solos?
- 20:12SPEAKER_06: Sorry, say that again.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Do you guys do believe in solos?
- 20:17SPEAKER_06: We yeah, we we we do try and do something.
- 20:20SPEAKER_06: We've got um there's a place that we're gonna hopefully book up next year, at the beginning of next year, and they've got this little library, and there's a lot of secret door that opens up in the wall, and then you go into this little secret library, and we're gonna take it in turns to go and do solos in there overnight.
- 20:35SPEAKER_06: Um did I not mention I probably will think to do solos.
- 20:47SPEAKER_06: I shall be in there anyway, and I think Helen's got her name down already, so um, there'll be a few of us doing it.
- 20:53SPEAKER_06: Um, but that'll be really interesting to have a go.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: No, I mean some people believe in them, some people don't.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: I'm a big believer in solos, uh, just because a lot of places we do investigate, you know, hospitals, say in asylums, all that.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Um, most patients were left alone.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: So they're used to one other person, the nurse or the caretaker coming in.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: It was just a one-on-one interaction.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: So that's why I do solos.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Plus, I like the the fear of it, I guess.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I like walking into a dark basement with no flashlight and just asking questions.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: Um, I was just wondering because some people like him, some people don't.
- 21:36SPEAKER_06: I mean, to be fair, I've got Marcus here, so I spend my whole time just walking around.
- 21:41SPEAKER_06: Oh, for goodness sake, Marcus, stop it.
- 21:42SPEAKER_06: And I have conversations with him, and he he just wanders off and does his own thing.
- 21:46SPEAKER_06: So I've actually got that going on in my life every day as a solo because most of the time my son's at school, so um, it's always going on, but it doesn't it doesn't worry me at all.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Tracy.
- 22:01SPEAKER_04: It's really like gentle and nice.
- 22:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I guess so.
- 22:05SPEAKER_06: I guess so.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: You know, if you were going somewhere like a bit sinister, yeah.
- 22:10SPEAKER_04: I think yeah, that would be a bit more scary.
- 22:13SPEAKER_06: I'd quite like the adrenaline rush, I think, though.
- 22:15SPEAKER_06: If it if it was scary, I think that would be something that I've not experienced for a long time.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: So, Tracy, are you doing a solo in a library?
- 22:26SPEAKER_04: She will.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: She will.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: She will.
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: With my eyes closed.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: If everyone else is doing it, you'll you'll yeah, I'll be brave, I'll have a go.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'll put my vote in that you go in first.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Yes, you go in first, but just let us know how it is.
- 22:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: No, we we start off every investigation with a solo walkthrough.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Uh if it's me or I'll pick someone that's willing to do it, um, just to walk through the place and get a feeling for it.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Um, they're not really investigating, they're just going through, see where they you know feel the most off, I guess you want to call it energy.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Um, if they want to stop and ask questions with the recorder, they can, most likely they're running through the place.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Then they'll come back out, tell us, hey, this room, this room, or here.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: I it felt really bad here.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I didn't want to walk into this room.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: And that's how we start usually our investigations, just to get the feel for the place.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: Um, and let the know the spirits like I was telling them, hey, we're here.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: This is your place.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: We're just visitors, we're not here to kick you out.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: You know, this is your home.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: We just want to get your story out.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: And if you don't want us here, let us know.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: So that's how I start my investigations.
- 23:47SPEAKER_06: So I mean, some of them we do, don't we?
- 23:49SPEAKER_06: I mean, the British Schools Museum, we all we went all for a wander on our own and had a walk around.
- 23:54SPEAKER_06: A lot of the places we do, they're already they're like pubs and hotels, so there's always people milling around.
- 24:00SPEAKER_06: So we have to go off into areas where it's quieter.
- 24:03SPEAKER_06: So we don't really get that atmosphere like if you walk into somewhere that's dead silent.
- 24:10SPEAKER_06: Um, I mean, we do have those places, obviously, but a lot of the places we go to, they're they're still working until 10, 11 o'clock at night, and then once 11 o'clock comes, we then have the place to ourselves, uh, and then it's quiet.
- 24:22SPEAKER_06: So we're already started investigating for sort of two, three hours before that happens.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: That's cool.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, well, like hour 20 into this.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Um, do you lay down things like protection spells, Brian?
- 24:36SPEAKER_02: Things like that, or I do not.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: I'm not sounds bad.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm not a huge believer in like crystals, protection spells, sage.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Um, I believe my faith is what protects me.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: So, do you think that's general in America?
- 24:52SPEAKER_02: Is it not something that's looked on?
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Because over here, things like crystals and you know, major kind of oh, crystals and sage, it's huge over here.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, that's pretty big.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know how it is over there, but you know, being religious and doing a paranormal is kind of looked down upon.
- 25:14SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: Um, it's starting to get a little more recognized.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, I always I'm always open about it.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: My faith is what keeps me protective.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: Positive energy keeps me protected.
- 25:26SPEAKER_02: I think I think over here we found it's it's increased the the almost friction between religion and spirituality.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: It's it's all it's like it's a threat to them.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: So they they try to distance themselves from it as much as possible.
- 25:43SPEAKER_06: I also think we've had such bad press with religion the last 20 years or so that I think that people are going from religion to spirit spirituality.
- 25:54SPEAKER_06: Um as an atheist, I don't have a faith, so I have to find something as a protection thing, and being spiritual, I just find that protection prayers are the go-to for me because it continues in what my beliefs are.
- 26:13SPEAKER_06: Um whereas you know, if you if you have a religion, you've already got that protection there.
- 26:20SPEAKER_06: Because it's all about working with intention, isn't it?
- 26:23SPEAKER_06: It's that intention thing, whatever your intention is, whatever, whether you're religious, spiritual, or nothing, um that's what you use.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, everybody believes in something, whether it's that they don't believe in anything, they believe in that.
- 26:39SPEAKER_02: But it it's because I I mean I there must you know I believe there's something bigger than we are, because if there isn't, then what are we bothering to do all this for?
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: Um, and that's part of the reason why I would like to get the answer, you know, some answers along the way.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because you know, I don't I don't know what it is.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: I mean, everybody's got their own idea of religion, um, but a lot of them cross over.
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: You know, we we we seem to find religion brings barriers between people, whereas a lot of it just crosses over so much that if we look for the similarities, it would you know it was so much better.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: But you know, I think there is something more, and I think what we're touching on here is part of everything that that religion is.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong, like I have people in my group that do crystals and sage.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: I have no problem with it, I'm not against it.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: Um, I think your belief is your belief, and that's what protects you.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: I'm all for it.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Like, um, I've heard of protection prayers.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I've never do you have a certain one you use, or is it depends on I don't know what they are.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, protection prayer.
- 27:49SPEAKER_06: Like, do you have a certain prayer you use, or yeah, we I I do a protection prayer at the beginning of every event, every live stream, every investigation, every house, and I I make I ask everybody involved to do that.
- 28:03SPEAKER_06: Um and it is something actually that was used for the world's um largest ghost hunting.
- 28:09SPEAKER_06: I don't know whether you ever got involved in that, did you, some years back?
- 28:13SPEAKER_06: No, no, um, they had a number of psychic people that developed these prayers, and that's the one that I use.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Well, it's interesting.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, again, like I'm a big believer in whatever your belief is that's gonna protect you is gonna work.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's what I think.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I always say, like, there's people out there that like their grandfather gave them a lucky penny, and they can't walk out of the house without their lucky penny in their pocket because they feel off.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: I think that's the same thing.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I'd have to say we do Emma does a closing down prayer, and I've missed that a couple of times because I'm still finishing with something or clearing up or whatever, and I've felt different when I've got home, and I can't put my finger on why that is, but I do sometimes feel that I'm bringing stuff with me, and I could feel terrible the next day, I could feel absolutely exhausted, mentally, physically exhausted after doing a session on Saturday night or Sunday.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty much a goner for you know, I'm just asleep.
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: Um, because they take so much of our energy from us when we're doing this, it does feel like our energies are drained.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: A lot of our people that are there, you know, just the people that are visiting us or whatever, you know, they'll they all have the same feelings when they leave, you know, people are drained, they'll say how tired they are.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I do think it takes a lot of energy from us.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: So I do think having a prayer, even if it's something that we it just it helps ground everything, it helps us bring us back to to where we were before we started.
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, yeah, just you know, I mean, as I say, as you said, everything, everyone's different, everyone has a different requirements.
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: But I I find comfort in in Emma's doing those prayers.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I've had people on the show that said they they'd taken stuff home before, like spirits, attachments, or whatever.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Luckily, I don't believe I've ever.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: And you know, hopefully I never do.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: So I mean, that's that's the goal.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: It's not to bring anything home.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: My wife would my wife would kill me.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: But you know, every every time I'm about to go on investigation, that's what she tells me.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Don't bring anything home.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: But I mean, there's you know, I have a team member that likes to stage, and I have no issue with it.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: Do I get staged?
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: No, because I don't believe.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, if I don't believe in it, it's not gonna help.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: But at the same at the same time, if there is anything in it, it's no harm in doing it.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, true.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: So I mean, just because you don't believe in it, somebody else believes in it.
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: One of one of you could be right, one of you could be wrong.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: So, you know, there's no actual harm in having it done to yourself because you might not be right.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: No, the person might be right.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, maybe I should start.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: Like, I was never a big believer in crystals.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Um, I did an investigation where the lady was very into crystals and very scientifically into crystals, you know, everything about them.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: She studied them for years, knew every single the 50 crystals she has, what they did, and I'm not saying she made me a believer, but got me more interested into them.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, they are they they're energy.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: I mean, they're part of this earth, so they're they bring energy.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: So that's cool.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I always love people's beliefs, and I've always wanted to do more shows on people's beliefs because I believe every religion, you know, whatever you said, religion's widespread.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Um, whatever you believe in.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: That's what fascinates me in a paranormal world, especially when it comes to protection and what your beliefs are.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So that's all I gotta say about that.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's I'm just trying to protect you, Brian.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: No, I'm cool with it, man.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, did I ask this?
- 32:22SPEAKER_00: Um, what's one I always ask what is like one, I guess, bucketless place that you guys want to investigate?
- 32:30SPEAKER_06: Uh mine's easy.
- 32:31SPEAKER_06: Winchester House.
- 32:33SPEAKER_06: The what Winchester House?
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, Winchester.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: No, I haven't.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: I've seen many shows about it, but no, it looks cool though.
- 32:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: So out of all the history you have in the UK, you want to come to America.
- 32:48SPEAKER_06: Absolutely.
- 32:50SPEAKER_06: We're actually planning a trip, aren't we?
- 32:52SPEAKER_06: In a couple of years' time to come over, but we haven't decided what one we're coming where we're coming yet.
- 32:57SPEAKER_06: We're still in the debating bit.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Well, the problem is with America, is we're so spread out.
- 33:05SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I was talking about this with us with paranormal penny pinchers, like, they get 60 places within two hours.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: You might have three in America.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you have to travel a lot in the US to get to each place.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, you're talking Winchester House for my house.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's I think a six-hour flight, you know.
- 33:30SPEAKER_04: Wow.
- 33:30unknown: Yeah.
- 33:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:31SPEAKER_04: Well, we're really lucky then, aren't we?
- 33:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_04: When you say that, it makes us realise that we've just got everything just here.
- 33:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: You you guys have everything there, and we're all spread out.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: No, there's some cool places in the United States.
- 33:45SPEAKER_04: Um, have you got a uh a bucket list?
- 33:48SPEAKER_04: I don't know about a bucket list.
- 33:50SPEAKER_04: I've got like quite a few places I'd like to do.
- 33:52SPEAKER_04: I'd like to go to Chillingham Castle.
- 33:54SPEAKER_04: I love the north of England.
- 33:56SPEAKER_04: I really want to go up north and do some places up there.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: So I mentioned mine earlier, actually, Ashridge House, because it's somewhere that I've lived near all my life and I've been around a lot, but I've never been able to do an actual investigation there.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: It's such a busy place, they do so many weddings.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: And my my son's one of the managers there, and I'm trying very, very hard to persuade him to let us loose because they have crypts there that that date back to the 1300s.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: Um, the black prince has got an altar there in the black prints.
- 34:35SPEAKER_02: I think he must be about in the 1200s or 1300s.
- 34:39SPEAKER_02: Um, it's fantastic, Istin.
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: I know it all so well, but I've not done an investigation there, and it would just be fantastic to be able to do it.
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: Um my my son is this is the same.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: This son is the same son that had was when he was younger, had all these experiences, and he's had quite a few things happen there that he can't explain.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: Um, and so have a lot of the staff.
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: A lot of staff have seen apparitions and things like that.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: Um, and so yeah, I would uh because it's it's not really been done that much, um, it it would be fantastic to have a go.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: No, I had I asked this question on every show.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Um, the most surprising answer ever got was the Vatican.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah.
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: Well, I'd like to have a look in there underground in where they've got all their information and different things that are going on in there.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: They've got a lot of knowledge that isn't available to the rest of us.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: So that would be uh that's why I would reckon that somebody would want to do the Vatican.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, we talk about religion and like paranormal, like split.
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: Um, but when someone has an issue, who do they call?
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: You know, yeah, ghostbusters.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: No, I mean, when they have a supposed demon in their house, you know, they call a religious religion, the Vatican, Catholics.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: So why are we so spread on between crossing over religion and paranormal?
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: But when they want protection, they call their church.
- 36:15SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, a lot of very religious people believe they know there's something out there, they just don't want to not believe, but leave them alone, I guess.
- 36:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 36:33SPEAKER_04: The thing is, they believe in spirits, they believe in the Holy Spirit.
- 36:37SPEAKER_04: So why are we not all when we pass our spirit leaves us, so they've got to be somewhere.
- 36:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I suppose they don't want to believe they're still here, that they've actually crossed over, maybe.
- 36:49SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 36:52SPEAKER_02: Some some spirits say goodbye, don't they?
- 36:54SPEAKER_02: They come and say goodbye.
- 36:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's plenty of evidence that I mean.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: I've even seen a thing where people's weight changes when their soul leaves them.
- 37:04SPEAKER_02: Um, and they've they've been done investigations to show that we do have an aura.
- 37:10SPEAKER_02: So there is a suggestion that this will leave, and that maybe some spirits come and say goodbye.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: Maybe some spirits on that way get lost, or some spirits have got something left to say.
- 37:21SPEAKER_02: But you know, I don't think really there is a massive gap between religion and spirituality.
- 37:26SPEAKER_02: I just I just think that spirituality is something that's questioning what is out there.
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: We want to know the answers.
- 37:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not just about having some belief in something that whether it exists or not, we we want the answers to what it is.
- 37:45SPEAKER_06: My um my grandfather, he were he ended up in Cairo during the Second World War, and he was a very religious person, but because of all the atrocities he he experienced during the war, he lost his faith.
- 37:58SPEAKER_06: And him and my father used to have these huge debates about religion and all the rest of it.
- 38:03SPEAKER_06: And my granddad actually said to him, When I go, if there's an afterlife, I'm gonna come back and let you know.
- 38:10SPEAKER_06: Two days after he died, my grandfather actually saw him at the end of the bed, and it was like, There, see, told you, there is, and he just disappeared.
- 38:20SPEAKER_06: Um, my father doesn't actually believe that it happened, he thinks he was dreaming.
- 38:26SPEAKER_06: Um, but I'm not so sure.
- 38:28SPEAKER_06: I think he must believe it somehow, otherwise he wouldn't mention it.
- 38:31SPEAKER_02: He would never have talked about it, would he?
- 38:33SPEAKER_02: Something in his mind, yeah.
- 38:34SPEAKER_06: But my granddad came back to say, yeah, there is, and then nobody's seen or heard from him since.
- 38:41SPEAKER_06: Um, but that's the whole, you know, going from religion to spiritual um beliefs.
- 38:47SPEAKER_06: He he was kind of he lost one and became the other, and then just came back to let us know.
- 38:52SPEAKER_06: It was it was a nice thing to do, I think.
- 38:55SPEAKER_06: And I shall come back and annoy all you lot when I go.
- 38:58SPEAKER_06: You definitely will, a hundred percent.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, you guys talked about like unfinished business, and you know, he made a promise to your your dad.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: So you know, he came down, yeah.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: There is later, you know, love you later, and that was it.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: So that's cool.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: That's a cool story because I mean, yeah, you can make a promise and still keep in an afterlife.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: So all right, so we're hour 40 minutes into this here.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: Um keep saying I'm not gonna do this, but here we are.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: But no, again, it was a pleasure talking to all three of you.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Um learned a lot.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh, learned a lot.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: Question, more questions than answers now.
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: I gotta look into about uh how they see us.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Neil.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, I appreciate that.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Uh if you ever come over to America, send me an email.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: Um if I if I'm ever allowed to the UK, I'll send you one.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: But uh yeah, hopefully, I don't drink tea though, so I'm sorry.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: Um I'll go to the pub though.
- 40:15SPEAKER_06: Oh, that's that's fine.
- 40:16SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's good.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: That's a good notion as well.
- 40:21SPEAKER_06: I've like I say, I've watched a couple.
- 40:22SPEAKER_06: I was it penny pinches you had on before as well.
- 40:25SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, I watched a little bit of that as well.
- 40:28SPEAKER_06: They seem lovely.
