- 0:16Speaker 1: Welcome in Happy new year here on Jagzam on Kinnati Steavens,
- 0:19Speaker 1: fran Sexton, John Osier with me today. It's our first
- 0:21Speaker 1: jags Am of twenty twenty six, but it's our final
- 0:24Speaker 1: jags Am of the regular seasons from twenty twenty five.
- 0:27Speaker 2: So we're getting prepped for the postseason.
- 0:29Speaker 1: But first we're gonna talk about the season finale, the
- 0:31Speaker 1: regular season finale against the Titans. Let's go through our
- 0:33Speaker 1: big things for you today, brought to you by g
- 0:35Speaker 1: EHA Government Employees Health Association. Big Thing number one is
- 0:39Speaker 1: a cold start. This team has to get going early
- 0:42Speaker 1: against the Titans. They don't want to get behind like
- 0:44Speaker 1: they did against the Cults. That it could be a
- 0:45Speaker 1: tough week to do that as some sickness is running
- 0:47Speaker 1: through the team.
- 0:48Speaker 3: I'm really you have the dream, probably under the weather,
- 0:50Speaker 3: so I wouldn't say, hey, I wanna say it feels
- 0:52Speaker 3: like a normal week. What preparation wise, you know, when
- 0:56Speaker 3: we're out there in the field was everything is to say,
- 0:59Speaker 3: you know, everybody's sticking to the schedule. Everybody works out
- 1:02Speaker 3: when it was supposed to work on everybody's you know
- 1:04Speaker 3: what I'm saying everybody's still doing what they're supposed to do.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Is just you know, I feel like people don't feel
- 1:10Speaker 3: it's good. But we've got a job to do and
- 1:12Speaker 3: we've got to execut have a high level, and we've
- 1:14Speaker 3: all got to be focused on a main job.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Brian, nobody's gonna get a sick day on Sunday. I
- 1:19Speaker 1: imagine they'll all be out there. But it's important also
- 1:21Speaker 1: to start the game well, not let that flow them down.
- 1:23Speaker 4: You bet tis the season, right, I mean, every locker
- 1:25Speaker 4: room in the league is dealing with this. And it
- 1:27Speaker 4: seemed to be a cold and listen, I'm not a doctor,
- 1:29Speaker 4: but it could have been much worse. It could have
- 1:32Speaker 4: been something that had everybody running off the practice field
- 1:34Speaker 4: to the bathroom. But listen, from that perspective, you've got
- 1:38Speaker 4: to come out. You got to be focused. You got
- 1:39Speaker 4: to get through this because you have a playoff game
- 1:42Speaker 4: the next week and you need to win on Sunday.
- 1:44Speaker 4: That'll have everybody find their way through it.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Yeah, it's you know, unfortunately, you got to go play
- 1:50Speaker 5: even when you're sick. These guys know that. I thought,
- 1:54Speaker 5: knowing how the sickness is running through against the Colts,
- 1:57Speaker 5: I thought it was impressive how they responded quick start.
- 2:01Speaker 5: In these kind of games for favored teams, a quick
- 2:04Speaker 5: start is really important because usually the other team goes
- 2:06Speaker 5: away after a quick start.
- 2:08Speaker 6: That would be what you're looking for, Cott.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Big thing number two today is going to be a
- 2:13Speaker 1: get right game. As we know, if they win that
- 2:15Speaker 1: game against the Titans, they're officially at the AFC South champions.
- 2:18Speaker 1: If not, they kind of need something to happen with
- 2:20Speaker 1: the Texans. Do you always want to take care of
- 2:22Speaker 1: business by yourself, John, But also looking ahead to the
- 2:24Speaker 1: playoffs just a little bit, what are you hoping to
- 2:26Speaker 1: see out of the team in the regular season finale
- 2:28Speaker 1: to kind of get right before they get into the postseason.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I think everybody would like to see the christness
- 2:34Speaker 5: of offense that you were seeing for four weeks before
- 2:39Speaker 5: the Colts. But again, you know they would have gotten
- 2:43Speaker 5: thirty five points or so without the turners against the Colts,
- 2:46Speaker 5: so it's still functioning. I think, specifically, Rian, you would
- 2:49Speaker 5: love to see them run the ball the way they
- 2:52Speaker 5: want to run the ball. They've been efficient, they've been persistent,
- 2:56Speaker 5: but I think they would like to be a little
- 2:58Speaker 5: better going to the playoffs, especially on the interior, which
- 3:00Speaker 5: is tough with Jeffers Simmons around.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Yeah, it's tough too because Robert Hainse and Patrick McCarry
- 3:04Speaker 4: have both been on the injury report in recent weeks.
- 3:06Speaker 6: And let's be honest.
- 3:07Speaker 4: I mean, they had seventy rushing yards the last time
- 3:09Speaker 4: they played the Titans and they won that ball game
- 3:11Speaker 4: twenty five to three. You would have thought they would
- 3:13Speaker 4: have had more than that because they had the game
- 3:15Speaker 4: in control. But the Titans are very good against the run.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I'll flip it over and look at the defense. Kui
- 3:20Speaker 4: thirty takeaways on the season. It's been a remarkable story
- 3:24Speaker 4: for a team that couldn't get a takeaway last year
- 3:26Speaker 4: eight from the defense nine total, and they've got thirty
- 3:29Speaker 4: this year. And they've tied the franchise record with twenty
- 3:33Speaker 4: one interceptions. Let's see that keep going. You know, they
- 3:36Speaker 4: tend to come in bunches, as we hear, but let's
- 3:38Speaker 4: see if they can keep that momentum taking the bowl away.
- 3:41Speaker 4: They get a rookie quarterback in cam Ward who's only
- 3:44Speaker 4: from one interception in the last four games. Hopefully they
- 3:47Speaker 4: can turn that around and make that maybe the impetus
- 3:50Speaker 4: for their quick start.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Our final big thing today is going to be keep
- 3:54Speaker 1: it clean, because in these rivalry.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Games, we know things can get a little chippy.
- 3:57Speaker 1: They did the last time these two teams played back Nashville.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Some of the most penalties and scene I gainst the.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Team, Brian, when it's kind of personal.
- 4:04Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about the rivalry going forward in the show,
- 4:06Speaker 1: But how do you kind of keep your emotions in check?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Probably a good thing to learn.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Quote, keep with Quinn Dollen. I'm sorry, keep with Quinn
- 4:12Speaker 4: Dowlin away from Jeffrey Simmons, right. I mean, if you
- 4:14Speaker 4: want some fun, go back and watch that game and
- 4:16Speaker 4: look at how often Laquinn was going after the best
- 4:19Speaker 4: player on the Titan side of the field.
- 4:21Speaker 6: John.
- 4:21Speaker 4: I mean, he's done that all season long. You did
- 4:23Speaker 4: it with Max Crosby in a famous miked up spot
- 4:25Speaker 4: that you can probably find on this YouTube channel. It's
- 4:30Speaker 4: gonna be chippy because Jeffrey Simmons talks a lot and
- 4:32Speaker 4: Laquinn loves that stuff.
- 4:34Speaker 6: But if you get them down, get a lead, it'll stop. Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 5: I think that will favor I say, favorite Jaguars, but
- 4:42Speaker 5: I think in this game, you don't have to worry
- 4:45Speaker 5: about coming out not focused, you know, and I think
- 4:50Speaker 5: the chippiness is part of that, the fact you're playing
- 4:53Speaker 5: at home as part of that. I expect a motivated
- 4:55Speaker 5: team and a focused team outside of some of the
- 5:00Speaker 5: gawing that you'll see, because football is fun.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Football is fun, and we're gonna have some fun here
- 5:05Speaker 1: on Jagzam. After the break, we're gonna go over some
- 5:07Speaker 1: of our favorite moments from the Jaguars and titaned rivalry
- 5:10Speaker 1: over the last thirty years. Jag Vam brought to you
- 5:14Speaker 1: by Fields Auto Groups. See Field's First Jacksonville's premier luxury
- 5:17Speaker 1: auto group. Head over Tofields Auto dot com. Welcome back
- 5:21Speaker 1: into Jagzam today, final one of the regular season. We
- 5:24Speaker 1: usually look at our opponent a little bit, as we
- 5:26Speaker 1: know the Titans not heading to the postseason, definitely in
- 5:29Speaker 1: that rebuild mode right now, but we.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Do want to look back at some of the.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Most memorable moments with the Titans, because even when the
- 5:35Speaker 1: teams are in different positions, it can always be kind
- 5:37Speaker 1: of interesting.
- 5:39Speaker 4: It hit me as I was starting to prepare for
- 5:41Speaker 4: this game, but the Titans were the Oilers and opened
- 5:43Speaker 4: this stadium in nineteen ninety five, September third, first game,
- 5:47Speaker 4: Boys to.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Men sang the national anthem. You were there, you remember
- 5:50Speaker 6: they had a.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Flag the shape of the United States and they were
- 5:54Speaker 4: right in the middle of it. It was spectacular with
- 5:57Speaker 4: the flyover and of course all the emotion that comes
- 5:59Speaker 4: with a brand game.
- 6:01Speaker 6: But they're gonna close the stadium in its current incarnation.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Because well less the past name.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Absolutely, and it'll be under more construction than it is
- 6:09Speaker 4: this year. And so it's it's fun to look back
- 6:11Speaker 4: at that inaugural game and see how the league puts
- 6:15Speaker 4: these two together once again.
- 6:16Speaker 6: They don't miss the chance to create a little storyline.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Yeah, and so many games. You know, they got their
- 6:21Speaker 5: first win against this team in Houston that year. The
- 6:26Speaker 5: next year, remember they went and won that hollow stadium
- 6:30Speaker 5: game during the playoff run where it felt like there
- 6:32Speaker 5: were five people in the stands because announced announce they
- 6:37Speaker 5: were going to Tennessee. You know. The ninety nine season,
- 6:42Speaker 5: of course, is the one that lives in infamy for
- 6:45Speaker 5: this franchise, but there are also other big ones. The
- 6:48Speaker 5: next year, Brian, remember they beat the Titans when the
- 6:51Speaker 5: Jaguars were struggling. They won a game at home that
- 6:53Speaker 5: was probably their best win of two thousand.
- 6:58Speaker 6: They had a few. That was the year they beat
- 6:59Speaker 6: the Steelers. Fred went off up there.
- 7:01Speaker 5: But even even recently, the Jaguars knocked the Titans out
- 7:05Speaker 5: of the playoffs in twenty sixteen in Maron's interim game.
- 7:10Speaker 5: So there has been a lot The Jaguars fans kind
- 7:13Speaker 5: of consider the Titans they're nemesis, but the Jaguars have
- 7:16Speaker 5: gotten them a lot too.
- 7:19Speaker 4: You've got a list of games you want to go through.
- 7:21Speaker 4: We could tell the stories.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Forever and ever, yes, but of course we have to
- 7:24Speaker 2: get to you.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Did mention the twenty sixteen Yep Bortles game where he
- 7:29Speaker 1: catches a touchdown in this game, I believe I got
- 7:31Speaker 1: into a YouTube hoole, so I got really into.
- 7:32Speaker 2: This as well.
- 7:33Speaker 6: I know this was a touch that he caught from
- 7:34Speaker 6: Marquise Lee.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Pretty cool. And then Jalen.
- 7:37Speaker 4: The week before this, they fired Gush Bradley in Houston,
- 7:40Speaker 4: which you know, when your coach gets fired, especially on
- 7:42Speaker 4: the road, there's just a load that comes with that,
- 7:44Speaker 4: you know. So no one was expecting them to come
- 7:46Speaker 4: out against a nine and six or nine and seven
- 7:52Speaker 4: ninety six ninety six playoff. I get him confused because
- 7:55Speaker 4: that was at ninety five.
- 7:56Speaker 6: This was not the they finished ninety seven.
- 7:58Speaker 5: This was not the last game in the raisular season.
- 8:00Speaker 6: But it knocked them out.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Okay, you're right, So it knocked them out of the
- 8:02Speaker 4: playoffs and no one expected that.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Guy.
- 8:04Speaker 4: I mean, and Jalen Ramsey's a rookie and he comes
- 8:06Speaker 4: up with his pick six and the defense was not
- 8:10Speaker 4: quite what it was going to be the next year
- 8:11Speaker 4: when it became the best defense in JAG's history. But
- 8:13Speaker 4: he kind of felt it coming, and it was fun
- 8:15Speaker 4: to send the Titans home, and of course, you know
- 8:17Speaker 4: they'd done that to this team.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Yeah, it sort of set the tone and made you think, oh,
- 8:22Speaker 5: there might be something there. It's going to be better
- 8:25Speaker 5: in seventeen.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Guy, I want to go back a little bit and
- 8:28Speaker 1: talk about that nineteen nine nineteen because I know when
- 8:29Speaker 1: I came here, everyone talks very you know, reverently about
- 8:32Speaker 1: it and how great they were. But the Titans were
- 8:35Speaker 1: kind of just the thorn in the side that whole year, right,
- 8:37Speaker 1: and to try to beat a team three times in
- 8:39Speaker 1: a year is very difficult to do.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, it was a monsoon. It was a
- 8:44Speaker 4: post hurricane. I forget what hurricane it was, but the
- 8:47Speaker 4: first game was a six to three game and it
- 8:49Speaker 4: rained the entire day. I mean it just a heavy rain,
- 8:53Speaker 4: the kind that makes you think, why are we playing
- 8:55Speaker 4: this game? And the Jaguars got frustrated and tried a
- 8:58Speaker 4: fake field go you remember that, and they sent the
- 8:59Speaker 4: phunter to try to score a touchdown and missed, and
- 9:03Speaker 4: you just was like, Okay, they're going to lose this
- 9:05Speaker 4: one at home. And then we went up there and played.
- 9:06Speaker 4: The day after Christmas, we had Christmas dinner because everything
- 9:10Speaker 4: was closed that year. Downtown Nashville wasn't what it is now.
- 9:13Speaker 4: At the Wild Horse Saloon, we had chicken tenders for
- 9:15Speaker 4: Christmas dinner.
- 9:16Speaker 6: And then the next day.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Mark Brunell got hurt early in the game and it
- 9:20Speaker 4: was the breakout game for Steve McNairy through five touchdown
- 9:22Speaker 4: classes and it was like, wow, are we that vulnerable
- 9:26Speaker 4: late in the year. It ended an eleven game winning streak,
- 9:28Speaker 4: and then of course we beat the Miami Dolphins here
- 9:30Speaker 4: sixty two to seven, and it was like, Okay, that's
- 9:34Speaker 4: the team that we thought we had. And then the
- 9:36Speaker 4: next week it all fell apart in the second half
- 9:38Speaker 4: against the Titans.
- 9:39Speaker 5: Yeah, unfortunately the Jaguars best year. Titans were a little
- 9:44Speaker 5: better than they hate to say it that way.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But you know that was history.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:50Speaker 4: No, it wasn't just a side and hotel that year.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I had my backpack because there was no week between.
- 9:55Speaker 6: The Super Bowl.
- 9:56Speaker 4: So the plan was beat the Titans, hopping the car,
- 9:58Speaker 4: drive right to Atlanta and get ready for the game
- 10:01Speaker 4: next week. And instead I went down Atlantic Boulevard and
- 10:05Speaker 4: it was the longest sixteen mile ride of my life.
- 10:07Speaker 4: I remember just being completely crestfallen. That's a game I
- 10:11Speaker 4: have never quite gotten over.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I think there's probably a lot of Jags fans still
- 10:15Speaker 2: thinking about it too.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And by the way, and longtime jaguarst fans will remember that.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Jeff Fisher, the coach of the Titans, went to the
- 10:21Speaker 4: Super Bowl that year.
- 10:22Speaker 6: And they talked about, coach, how did you navigate that?
- 10:25Speaker 4: You know, you went from the Astrodome to the Liberty Bowl,
- 10:27Speaker 4: to Vanderbilt Stadium to whatever it was called back then,
- 10:32Speaker 4: I LP Field or whatever they called it, Adelphia Stadium
- 10:35Speaker 4: I think is what it was. Yeah, the first year
- 10:37Speaker 4: and because you forgot one and famously said at the
- 10:40Speaker 4: media Daego's Alltel Stadium.
- 10:42Speaker 6: That's a home stadium for us too.
- 10:44Speaker 4: So John mentions the win in two thousand over the
- 10:47Speaker 4: Titans here and Tom Coffin came into the postgame medios.
- 10:49Speaker 6: We won the battle for Alltel, which seemed.
- 10:52Speaker 4: A little anti climactic because the season was over, but
- 10:54Speaker 4: it meant that much to him to stick it back in.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Jeff Fisher's face.
- 11:00Speaker 4: There was just an intensity to the rivalry that's abated
- 11:03Speaker 4: a bit over the years.
- 11:05Speaker 6: But I think people are feeling it.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Again, and don't forget I'm sorry guy, I'm gonna say
- 11:09Speaker 1: I think it picks back up in points because you
- 11:11Speaker 1: always have a little evan flow of things. But because
- 11:13Speaker 1: even now, I mean, like just in the last couple
- 11:15Speaker 1: of years of my experience, I mean obviously last two
- 11:19Speaker 1: years ago when they play the Titans at the end
- 11:21Speaker 1: kind of that fall down, I think we lost six
- 11:24Speaker 1: to seven, and then you still had a chance to
- 11:26Speaker 1: make the playoffs but just couldn't.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Quite get it done.
- 11:28Speaker 1: And that was the end of Rabel and Derrick Henry
- 11:30Speaker 1: and Tannehill there as well. So there's all these monumental moments,
- 11:34Speaker 1: even when necessarily their season as a holes and going well.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Well, don't forget in the ninety nine season they knocked
- 11:40Speaker 5: the Jaguars out. Probably the second biggest game between these
- 11:44Speaker 5: two teams was in twenty two at the end when
- 11:47Speaker 5: it was winner take off for the division. Now, I
- 11:49Speaker 5: get the Titans were sliding, but you know, it's easy
- 11:54Speaker 5: to forget at the moment, we thought that Jaguars team
- 11:58Speaker 5: that was a special team, special and for josh Heinz
- 12:01Speaker 5: Allen to return that touchdown at the end of the game,
- 12:05Speaker 5: that's among the top seven or eight, whatever number of
- 12:09Speaker 5: plays in this team's history.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Happening against Tennessee, Fret.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Taylor and I were in the Upper West Club where
- 12:13Speaker 4: we do the stadium show, and we got on the
- 12:14Speaker 4: elevator to go down to the field to do some
- 12:17Speaker 4: postgame kai And as we got on the elevator, we
- 12:20Speaker 4: thought it's over there driving there's two minutes left.
- 12:23Speaker 6: When the doors opened, we heard this rule.
- 12:26Speaker 4: We missed that play live where Rayshawn Jenkins strip sacked
- 12:31Speaker 4: Joshua Dobbs and it was picked up on the run.
- 12:34Speaker 4: So we get to the sideline and it's absolute pandemonium.
- 12:36Speaker 4: I mean, it's one of my great memories of thirty
- 12:39Speaker 4: one years of covering this football team is the way
- 12:41Speaker 4: that that stadium looked and felt that night after that play.
- 12:46Speaker 1: It's easy to see why the schedule makers like to
- 12:48Speaker 1: kind of put the two teams together later on in
- 12:51Speaker 1: the year. And obviously this one during the day, maybe
- 12:54Speaker 1: not as climactic because the Titans are out of it,
- 12:56Speaker 1: but the Jaguars can still get the division crown with
- 12:59Speaker 1: a win over the And I think it's also what's cool,
- 13:01Speaker 1: at least for right now for us is to see,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you know, this team wasn't in a great spot last year.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Maybe the Titans weren't either, obviously with the number one pick,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but where the Jaguars have gone in a year is
- 13:11Speaker 1: really cool to see because it doesn't always work out
- 13:13Speaker 1: that way.
- 13:14Speaker 5: No, it's been a remarkable year.
- 13:19Speaker 6: For this team.
- 13:19Speaker 5: I don't think anybody I thought they'd be nine and eight,
- 13:22Speaker 5: you know, in that range.
- 13:23Speaker 6: It was fair.
- 13:24Speaker 5: I did not think they would be on a seven
- 13:26Speaker 5: game winning streak. And as talking about, you know, being
- 13:30Speaker 5: one of the teams that they can contend for the
- 13:32Speaker 5: Super Bowl, you can get it done quickly.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Listen.
- 13:35Speaker 4: One of the reasons why we're surprised, and you would
- 13:37Speaker 4: have talked about this is the schedule's tough. You had
- 13:40Speaker 4: four West Coast trips, by the way, they won all four.
- 13:43Speaker 4: You had the AFC West, which everybody thought, well, this
- 13:46Speaker 4: is really maybe the best yeaers in football.
- 13:48Speaker 6: You swept them.
- 13:49Speaker 4: It's remarkable not just that they're in a position to
- 13:51Speaker 4: flip the record from four to thirteen to thirteen and four,
- 13:54Speaker 4: but that they did it in a year John, when
- 13:56Speaker 4: the schedule was such a challenge.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Yeah, this is not a last place schedule turnaround, which
- 14:01Speaker 5: can be sometimes misleading. This is not a misleading.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Turnaround, not at all.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Hopefully, Well, get some more memorable moments and a Jaguars
- 14:09Speaker 1: win and an AFC South title coming up after the
- 14:11Speaker 1: break will tell you what we think we'll be.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Talking about on Monday after this game.

- 14:34Speaker 1: and going presents our predictions for what we're going to
- 14:38Speaker 1: be talking about on Monday morning, Brian, I think we
- 14:42Speaker 1: all feel similarly about how the game might go.
- 14:44Speaker 2: But what do you think we'll be talking about.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Let's I say, take that Titans. I think they're going
- 14:47Speaker 4: to come out. I think you talked about getting off
- 14:50Speaker 4: to a good start. I think the Jaguars will. They're
- 14:52Speaker 4: motivated to claim the division. You know, in twenty seventeen,
- 14:56Speaker 4: the first time they won the South, they lost both
- 14:58Speaker 4: games to the Titans. Titans made a big deal about, well,
- 15:01Speaker 4: they can claim the title because they had more wins,
- 15:04Speaker 4: but we beat them twice, so we.
- 15:05Speaker 6: Knew who this. We know who the division champ really is.
- 15:09Speaker 4: I think the Jaguars want to take it. Make sure
- 15:11Speaker 4: that nobody thinks it's anyone but theirs. So take that
- 15:14Speaker 4: Titans is my headline. And I also think it's a
- 15:17Speaker 4: nod to the fact that they beat the Jaguars in
- 15:20Speaker 4: the first ever game here and this is the last
- 15:23Speaker 4: game in the stadium minutes incarnation. The Titans lead the
- 15:26Speaker 4: series thirty four to twenty six. Jaguars have narrated it.
- 15:28Speaker 4: They've won six of the last seven. I think they
- 15:30Speaker 4: make an emphatic statement and go into a new era.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree, I think I'll go with mine. I
- 15:37Speaker 5: think it will be maybe a slightly more difficult game
- 15:41Speaker 5: than you're talking about. I think seventeen to fourteen going
- 15:43Speaker 5: into the fourth, and then I think they sort of
- 15:46Speaker 5: pull away because these second division games are tough. But
- 15:49Speaker 5: I went with well done, well earned. It's not a
- 15:52Speaker 5: very good headline.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But they pay other people for the headlines down here
- 15:56Speaker 1: that you bring right in the story.
- 15:58Speaker 5: I had Liam Cohen as as the picture because if
- 16:02Speaker 5: they closed this out with an eight game winning streak,
- 16:06Speaker 5: remember the Texans right on their tail. Every week of
- 16:10Speaker 5: that you had to win every week. You had to grind,
- 16:13Speaker 5: you didn't have any breath to take. And look they
- 16:17Speaker 5: tind of staying around from four to thirteen. Yeah, I
- 16:19Speaker 5: mean it's they earned it because they went through the
- 16:23Speaker 5: schedule you're talking about.
- 16:24Speaker 6: This is a.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Legitimate, big time division title winning season. I think it's
- 16:28Speaker 5: going to set the tone for the future. So well done.
- 16:31Speaker 4: Yeah, listen, you can't you can't miss the fact that
- 16:34Speaker 4: they have been in the playoffs essentially with the Texans
- 16:37Speaker 4: weekend and we got as impressive as the winning streak
- 16:39Speaker 4: is the fact that you went into Denver with the
- 16:41Speaker 4: Texans right on your heels and beat them, and then
- 16:44Speaker 4: the next week and then the next week. I mean,
- 16:46Speaker 4: to come through that. They're battle tested.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Already, and all of it coming off kind of a
- 16:51Speaker 1: blown fourth quarter lead against the same team. So to
- 16:54Speaker 1: kind of build off of that as well. I think
- 16:56Speaker 1: Tony Bacelli, Liam Cohen also very much a part of this.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I'm going to bringing Trevor Lawrence King of the South.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I feel like the past I mean he was saying
- 17:03Speaker 1: a month, but probably six weeks closer to seven at
- 17:05Speaker 1: this point. The run that he's been on, I know,
- 17:07Speaker 1: last week, no passing touchdowns, finally through an interception for
- 17:10Speaker 1: the first time in quite some time. To me, I
- 17:13Speaker 1: didn't doubt him, but you know, he's been through so
- 17:16Speaker 1: much and with so many systems, I didn't know what
- 17:17Speaker 1: it was going to look like. And I can say
- 17:20Speaker 1: without a doubt the past four to six weeks he's
- 17:23Speaker 1: won games for this football team by himself. I mean,
- 17:26Speaker 1: there's it's been a group effort. The team's been playing amazing,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but sometimes your quarterback has to win you game, and
- 17:31Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence has been able to tap into that and
- 17:33Speaker 1: do that and to be able to do it heading
- 17:35Speaker 1: into the playoffs, Botes pretty well, Well.
- 17:37Speaker 4: He's done it the last two weeks when he hasn't
- 17:39Speaker 4: been as well protected. Right, He's been hit twenty two
- 17:42Speaker 4: times against the Broncos and against.
- 17:44Speaker 6: The Colts, and he still played at a high level.
- 17:47Speaker 4: So whether everything around him was functioning at a high level,
- 17:49Speaker 4: or whether things were broken down because of injuries or
- 17:52Speaker 4: just the quality of a team is in case of Denver,
- 17:54Speaker 4: he still got the job done.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Whether he had doubt or him or not.
- 17:57Speaker 5: We had never seen this and now that we're seeing
- 18:00Speaker 5: this for the last five games. Look, five games is
- 18:03Speaker 5: not a fluke. It's not a one off, it's not
- 18:05Speaker 5: a trend. And this is what he is now and
- 18:07Speaker 5: he's the biggest reason this team has a Super Bowl possibility.
- 18:11Speaker 1: King of the South, that's what I'm gonna call it.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Hopefully get the crown this Sunday as they go for it.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Stay with here on Jagsaon we'll tell you what's coming up.

- 18:41Speaker 2: Is going to be a beautiful day. Should come out
- 18:44Speaker 2: thinking I can not recommend it enough. I want to
- 18:47Speaker 2: be out there.
- 18:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I'd been out there.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Listen.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Jackson has got to walk up town reputation and there
- 18:51Speaker 4: have been times in the past where we've wondered what
- 18:53Speaker 4: the crowd's gonna look like, and it has been surprisingly good.
- 18:56Speaker 4: I think it's got the chance to be very good
- 18:58Speaker 4: on Sunday because people say, you know what, let's go
- 19:00Speaker 4: see this thing.
- 19:01Speaker 6: And then the playoff game I think will be excellent.
- 19:03Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a team that you want to see. It's
- 19:07Speaker 5: a special season and Sunny's gonna be fine.
- 19:11Speaker 6: I mean, you cover.
- 19:14Speaker 5: Games, watch games, follow a team waiting to get to
- 19:17Speaker 5: games like this.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Story, right, there's a story of this year in this team,
- 19:22Speaker 4: and I think there's a lot of people who have
- 19:24Speaker 4: seen it from afar, but who want to be.
- 19:26Speaker 6: A part of it.
- 19:27Speaker 1: I think a good point to me made me reminisce
- 19:28Speaker 1: a little bit about some of those past teams to
- 19:31Speaker 1: have been a part of it, I'm sure is very
- 19:33Speaker 1: much memorable to you guys, and I think this is
- 19:35Speaker 1: an opportunity, if you guys aren't on the bandwagon just yet,
- 19:38Speaker 1: to come and be involved in this little playoff run
- 19:40Speaker 1: that they're about to go on, because I think it's
- 19:42Speaker 1: going to be one of the memorable ones.
- 19:43Speaker 4: Well, since you say that, there's a tech thread going
- 19:45Speaker 4: around from a lot of players and coaches who were
- 19:46Speaker 4: here in the early days, and they're all asking questions
- 19:49Speaker 4: about this team and the correlation between it. There's a
- 19:53Speaker 4: bond that's formed in that and to share stories and
- 19:56Speaker 4: make comparisons to the other teams. That's one we'll probably
- 20:00Speaker 4: we'll get a lot of, maybe even talk about next week.
- 20:01Speaker 4: Where does this team fit in the whole paradigm of
- 20:07Speaker 4: Jaguars history, And it's pretty damn high up there, way
- 20:11Speaker 4: up there.
- 20:12Speaker 2: All right. Thanks for joining us on jag Zam for
- 20:13Speaker 2: the regular season.
- 20:14Speaker 1: We'll be back next week for the postseason play Joy
