New Chief Whitaker Brings Community Focus to Fairport | Rochester News
Fairport’s new chief, Andrew Whitaker, brings two decades of policing experience—and a mission to lead with respect, dignity, and community. After serving in Geneva and Irondequoit, where the fast pace shaped his leadership, he’s now focused on building trust, especially around nightlife safety. He’s already planning town halls with bar owners and residents, and is actively recruiting to strengthen the department. Starting July 7th, Whitaker aims to make Fairport feel safer for everyone.
