- 0:00Speaker 1: And so, you know, this came in fast, furious, overnight.
- 0:04Speaker 1: And we are watching real time the rise of the people.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And I don't think they expected that.
- 0:13Speaker 2: And you do believe that?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Yep. I'm watching it happening everywhere.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You are?
- 0:16Speaker 1: Yeah. And they're making change.
- 0:19Speaker 2: You know, we now have— Where are you seeing this happen?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Because I love hearing this, and it gives me hope.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Because it feels like we're not standing a chance sometimes.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Well, we've shown up in force and it's not one state.
- 0:34Speaker 1: It's all states. We're showing up in a completely bipartisan issue.
- 0:38Speaker 1: There's no division here. This is right and left, red
- 0:42Speaker 1: and blue. You're taking every resource that every single one
- 0:46Speaker 1: of us thrives on and is essential to every one
- 0:50Speaker 1: of us. And I don't think they were expecting that.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Maybe in one town, one community, not all towns, not
- 0:57Speaker 1: all towns. And, you know, We are now, I believe,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and you can look this up, we've got 14 states
- 1:06Speaker 1: now looking at bans, moratoriums, or pauses. Blackstone, I believe
- 1:14Speaker 1: you can look that up, just withdrew their big appellate
- 1:17Speaker 1: court lawsuit. Because of the opposition, they said, we're out. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The people showed up and they're out. And now we're
- 1:27Speaker 1: looking at over 120 municipalities that have put on, hey, pause, moratorium,
- 1:35Speaker 1: or flat out, Get out. So most states are now
- 1:39Speaker 1: wanting to know, whoa, wait a minute. How much water
- 1:43Speaker 1: are you going to use? What does this entail? What
- 1:45Speaker 1: does it mean for the safety and the future of
- 1:48Speaker 1: our environment? So you are seeing the pauses, moratoriums for
- 1:53Speaker 1: one and two years. And some communities like in Texas,
- 1:56Speaker 1: they just, the local county flat out banned them. You're
- 2:00Speaker 1: not building one in our county. So in every state,
- 2:03Speaker 1: you've got multiple cities and counties. And they have their
- 2:06Speaker 1: own ordinances and rules, so they can stop them. Oh,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I see. By the state may not.
- 2:11Speaker 2: So it can be stopped at different levels.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yes. And you're seeing many counties, like Monterey Park is
- 2:15Speaker 1: a city within California. So think of it as your
- 2:19Speaker 1: upper level state going down to cities, going down to
- 2:24Speaker 1: local councils and counties. They run in, they have like
- 2:29Speaker 1: a tier.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Got it.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah. So the local... can say, fuck you. But the
- 2:34Speaker 1: state might not take that position.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Right, but we also saw, I mean, from the beginning
- 2:38Speaker 2: of this conversation, we saw that local was a spot
- 2:41Speaker 2: where people were getting compromised a lot also. So, yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 2: but there's different levels where you can have pushback.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, and they showed up at the local level,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and the opposition was significant. So in Utah, in Box
- 2:56Speaker 1: Elder County, and that's been on the news a lot,
- 3:00Speaker 1: it was... Kevin O'Leary was coming in with a ginormous
- 3:04Speaker 1: data center, and the people showed up in protest, big time.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Oh, I saw that.
- 3:09Speaker 1: And the three Box Elder County guys let it come
- 3:12Speaker 1: through anyway. So the governor came back in because of
- 3:18Speaker 1: the opposition from the people and reduced Kevin O'Leary's facility,
- 3:25Speaker 1: and the exact numbers, don't quote me on this, but
- 3:28Speaker 1: almost cut it in half, if not three-quarters. And because
- 3:34Speaker 1: of the opposition, he had to do something. And then
- 3:37Speaker 1: just recently, their House speaker, the senator— Fox? Lost. Because
- 3:46Speaker 1: of the whole opposition to these data centers and all
- 3:49Speaker 1: three council members no longer— out.
- 3:52Speaker 2: So let's go.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's really interesting. And like Festus, Missouri, you voted them in,
- 3:58Speaker 1: vote them out. They voted all their council out. So
- 4:01Speaker 1: this is like, I think something politicians should really be
- 4:04Speaker 1: looking at. The opposition is strong enough. And again, in
- 4:09Speaker 1: my entire career, in 30 years, I've never seen something bipartisan, disunited,
- 4:14Speaker 1: that Everybody better be paying attention to because I think people,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you're pushing people too far at this point. You're taking
- 4:22Speaker 1: their water. Their air is jeopardized. Their land is jeopardized.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Their farmland is jeopardized. Their sanctuary is jeopardized. Their wildlife
- 4:31Speaker 1: is jeopardized. The trees, the rivers, the creeks, the birds,
- 4:35Speaker 1: all of it. It's a stake too high including their health.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And they're just showing up. And it's enough. And I
- 4:44Speaker 1: think Some of our leaders should look at that. You know,
- 4:47Speaker 1: they are going to vote people out. And You've put
- 4:52Speaker 1: the squeeze on us. It's too much. You're taking all
- 4:56Speaker 1: of the natural resources. And the next thing that people
- 5:00Speaker 1: are reporting, their electric bills, who's paying for this? They are.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Well, let's go into some of that. What information are
- 5:07Speaker 2: you seeing about that? And Trevor, while we discuss this,
- 5:10Speaker 2: can you look up who voted to approve that data
- 5:14Speaker 2: center in Louisiana? I want to know.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You should see the council.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Who was it?
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's going to be a local council.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Okay, a local council. I just want to know the
- 5:21Speaker 2: names of the people that voted yes on it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So we are definitely seeing local opposition winning, local municipalities, counties.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Really? Like an example?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Well, a big one is the Prince William Digital Gateway
- 5:38Speaker 1: Data Center project. Huge, by the way. And that was Blackstone.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And it was in the appellate courts. They've withdrawn. Okay.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And the project is now dead because of the opposition
- 5:50Speaker 1: of the people. Wow.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The Court of Appeals, it says right here, Prince William
- 5:53Speaker 2: Digital Gateway Data Center project officially dies. The Court of
- 5:56Speaker 2: Appeals affirmed on an August 2025 decision by William Circuit
- 6:04Speaker 2: Court Judge Kimberly in favor of the Oak Valley Homeowners Association,
- 6:08Speaker 2: 11 other Gainesville landowners.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Okay.
- 6:12Speaker 2: After a legal battle that lasted more than two years,
- 6:14Speaker 2: the controversial Prince William Digital Gateway, a proposed 23 million
- 6:18Speaker 2: square foot data center complex planned on 2,100 acres near
- 6:22Speaker 2: Manassas National Battlefield Park is officially dead. That's incredible. Well,
- 6:27Speaker 2: you know, that's the thing.
- 6:28Speaker 1: That's the power of people. Yeah.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I mean, it is the power of the people, Aaron. Well,
- 6:31Speaker 2: that's what gets you about Louisiana. It's like our state
- 6:35Speaker 2: is all about nature. It's all about being able to
- 6:39Speaker 2: fish out there.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Water. Water. Water. Water.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So that's what they're there for.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So that's why the largest one in America, they want
- 6:45Speaker 2: to do it there in Louisiana.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Can you pull up who voted for and against it? OK,
- 6:52Speaker 2: we have right here. They had Eric Scermetta. This is
- 6:56Speaker 2: for Jean-Paul J.P. Cousin out of District two year. And
- 7:02Speaker 2: then we got Mike Francis. Yeah, Mike Francis. Foster Campbell,
- 7:06Speaker 2: for sure. District 5. And then who? They voted for it.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And who voted against it? Devontae Lewis. That's wild, bro.
- 7:20Speaker 1: What I want people to do is remember, you're your
- 7:24Speaker 1: own best critical thinker. So think fast. Feel and have
- 7:27Speaker 1: courage to– you see my conversations with AI. I'll tell
- 7:31Speaker 1: it that's bullshit. Fuck you. That's ridiculous. Try again. And
- 7:36Speaker 1: it's just spitballing. It doesn't know everything. It's only going
- 7:39Speaker 1: to be what it's either programmed or we teach it
- 7:42Speaker 1: to be. So just keep that in mind. And you
- 7:45Speaker 1: know what I really see going on in this country
- 7:47Speaker 1: is we're– We're getting back to ourselves, man. Again, we're
- 7:52Speaker 1: thinking for ourselves. We're feeling for ourselves. Get in those
- 7:55Speaker 1: solar plexus and find some courage and show up. They are.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You know, I wrote the book Superman's Not Coming, and
- 8:01Speaker 1: that never scared me because I knew eventually we'd show up.
- 8:04Speaker 1: And I think we're here.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Do you really, Erin?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I really do. And I said that the other
- 8:08Speaker 1: day on one of my Facebook posts, to think the
- 8:12Speaker 1: data centers would be what unites us. Wow.
- 8:16Speaker 2: But I think in some ways it makes sense. You're
- 8:18Speaker 2: waiting for something. We're all like, you always want to
- 8:20Speaker 2: be the hero, I think. Sometimes always like we want
- 8:23Speaker 2: to be the hero in some way, you know? Like
- 8:26Speaker 2: of just something. It could be something small. It could
- 8:28Speaker 2: be something big. But you want to be on the
- 8:30Speaker 2: right side of things, you know? And maybe this is.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Maybe there needed to be something that would come along
- 8:35Speaker 2: that these like rulers and tech lords and these dark
- 8:39Speaker 2: evil moneyists would come along and be like, this is
- 8:42Speaker 2: how we're going to do it.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And we've just said enough. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm watching
- 8:46Speaker 1: it happen. I think we all are. I'm just their
- 8:48Speaker 1: biggest cheerleader, and this isn't about me. It's actually about
- 8:51Speaker 1: all of us. But it's coming at us so hard,
- 8:55Speaker 1: so swift for every reason that we've laid out today.
- 8:59Speaker 1: The stakes are too high. When you corner someone that way,
- 9:04Speaker 1: they're going to join forces. They're going to rise up.
- 9:06Speaker 1: They're going to show up, and they're doing it. And
- 9:09Speaker 1: it's about time.
