- 0:54Speaker 1: diving deep into acts chapter seventeen. We're gonna take it
- 0:59Speaker 1: through first sixteen to twenty one, where the culture is wild,
- 1:04Speaker 1: idols are everywhere, and truth is on trial on this episode.
- 1:09Speaker 1: But you know what I'm gonna say every episode, we

- 1:57Speaker 1: On this podcast, we are in the path down the
- 2:02Speaker 1: narrow road. This is the only road that leads to life.
- 2:07Speaker 1: There are few who find it, Amen, Jesus says in scripture.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And he also says that the broad road is the
- 2:16Speaker 1: road that leads to destruction. And there are many who
- 2:21Speaker 1: go down that road, which is sad to say. But
- 2:26Speaker 1: our goal is to pluck as many as we can
- 2:29Speaker 1: off of that road. On this road, we jump on
- 2:32Speaker 1: a life chat. We hold each other accountable, We pray
- 2:35Speaker 1: for one another, we check on each other. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: we put the scriptures to work right, we apply them,
- 2:45Speaker 1: and we actually do our best to live them out.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And the Bible says that the world will know that
- 2:52Speaker 1: we are His disciples of our love for one another.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And so love for one another is hold each other accountable.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Love for one another is correcting each other when we
- 3:02Speaker 1: need to be corrected, praying for each other, and knowing
- 3:05Speaker 1: that it's coming from a good place. It's coming from scripture.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And there is power in agreement, power in unity. There's
- 3:16Speaker 1: a special blessing for brothers who walk together in unity.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And God is a god of order. So once we
- 3:25Speaker 1: bring our lives in order, God will do the rest.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Say man, all right, y'all. So, and if once you
- 3:34Speaker 1: download the app, visit us on our website. His hot
- 3:37Speaker 1: nation dot com once again is his hot nation dot com.
- 3:42Speaker 1: That's good be for Father. In prayer, Family, Father, we
- 3:46Speaker 1: thank you, O God for waking us up today. There
- 3:50Speaker 1: are a lot of people who tried to get up
- 3:51Speaker 1: today but couldn't. Thank you, Father for another opportunity to
- 3:56Speaker 1: get right today. Oh God, if there's anything in us
- 3:59Speaker 1: that is not like you, we asked it, you will
- 4:01Speaker 1: remove it. That you will use this podcast to grow
- 4:05Speaker 1: us up, to mature us, to strengthen us, and to
- 4:09Speaker 1: get us in right standings with you, Oh God. We
- 4:12Speaker 1: asked Lord for souls to be saved, touched, delivered, and
- 4:15Speaker 1: set free in the mighty name of Jesus. And God's
- 4:21Speaker 1: people said amen. All right. Well, like I said in
- 4:28Speaker 1: this episode, we're gonna look at a wild culture idols
- 4:35Speaker 1: in when the truth is on trial. Now, if you've
- 4:39Speaker 1: been following with me in the Book of Acts, the
- 4:42Speaker 1: last episode, we saw that Paul went to the Briha.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Now these are some of my favorite Christians, right, the Brians,
- 4:51Speaker 1: because they didn't just take Paul's word, They actually searched
- 4:56Speaker 1: the scriptures to see if it were so. But the
- 5:00Speaker 1: sad part about it is they are the exception and
- 5:03Speaker 1: not the rule. This should have been the response of
- 5:06Speaker 1: all the churches, all of the synagogues, every single person
- 5:13Speaker 1: that Paul came in contact with. They would have just
- 5:15Speaker 1: searched the scriptures. I believe that they would have all
- 5:21Speaker 1: if they were reasonable, people would have received Christ as
- 5:26Speaker 1: their lord and master. And they could see right in
- 5:29Speaker 1: the Bible that, as Jesus said himself, volume of the
- 5:36Speaker 1: book was written of him, he is the Bible. He
- 5:40Speaker 1: is the Way, the truth, and the life. And this
- 5:44Speaker 1: is what they missed. They came one step short. We
- 5:49Speaker 1: don't want to do that, beloved. We want to accept
- 5:52Speaker 1: Christ for who he is and everything that he has
- 5:55Speaker 1: done for us ay Man.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And so.
- 6:04Speaker 1: In chapter seventeen, Paul is by himself. Now, remember as
- 6:13Speaker 1: they escorted Paul out of the city because the Jews
- 6:19Speaker 1: that did not believe pursued him there from other towns,
- 6:28Speaker 1: other cities. And I think it's amazing that these Jews
- 6:31Speaker 1: were able to stir up a crowd every time they
- 6:35Speaker 1: went somewhere, like I don't know how they did it,
- 6:38Speaker 1: but they were able to get a gang formed out
- 6:42Speaker 1: of a new city they just went into to go
- 6:45Speaker 1: after the apostle. So Paul left, Timothy and Silas were
- 6:50Speaker 1: left behind to do the work of the ministry. Now
- 6:56Speaker 1: Paul is by himself, but he has called for his
- 7:00Speaker 1: disciples to gather. Again. We talked about that, So this
- 7:06Speaker 1: is where we pick up in the story verse sixteen. Now,
- 7:11Speaker 1: while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was
- 7:17Speaker 1: provoked within him when he saw that the city was
- 7:22Speaker 1: given over to idols. Wow. Now that is a heart
- 7:27Speaker 1: of long passion. That is a heart for the lost.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And I know that I've been in places where my
- 7:37Speaker 1: spirit was overwhelmed. My heart grieved for the deception that
- 7:44Speaker 1: the people were under, and I can relate to that.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But we'll get to that when we break everything down seventeen. Therefore,
- 7:56Speaker 1: he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews, and with
- 8:00Speaker 1: the gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those
- 8:05Speaker 1: who happened to be there. Then certain Epicureans and Stoic
- 8:13Speaker 1: philosophers encountered him, and some said, what does this babbler
- 8:21Speaker 1: want to say? Others said, he seems to be a
- 8:26Speaker 1: proclaimer of foreign gods, because he preached to them Jesus
- 8:33Speaker 1: and the resurrection. And they took him and brought him
- 8:39Speaker 1: to the Aerrogappas, saying, may we know what this new
- 8:46Speaker 1: doctrine is of which you speak? For you are bringing
- 8:50Speaker 1: some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to
- 8:55Speaker 1: know what these things mean. For all the Athens and
- 9:01Speaker 1: the foreigners who were there spent their time and nothing
- 9:05Speaker 1: else but either to tell or to hear some new thing. Wow,
- 9:13Speaker 1: that is interesting. I wonder how they didn't get paid
- 9:16Speaker 1: for that. They were just sitting there, just trying to
- 9:19Speaker 1: hear some new thing. That's pretty interesting, all right, Verse sixteen. Now,
- 9:29Speaker 1: while Paul waited for them at Athens, the spirit was
- 9:33Speaker 1: provoked within him when he saw that the city was
- 9:38Speaker 1: given over to idols. Amen. Athens was a center of philosophy, culture,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and intellectualism, right, but spiritually dead. Despite all their wisdom,
- 10:00Speaker 1: they were lost in idolatry. That's why it's important to
- 10:05Speaker 1: have a relationship with Jesus. I just gain knowledge, not
- 10:10Speaker 1: just to gain understanding, but to apply it. Amen. Now,
- 10:17Speaker 1: the Greek word breakdown provoked par x yn eto, meaning
- 10:27Speaker 1: to be stirred sharply, or to be irritated or deeply distressed.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So Paul the apostle was provoked Paul was not entertained
- 10:43Speaker 1: by the culture at all. He was troubled by their culture. Amen,
- 10:49Speaker 1: there's something wrong when we can get entertainment from our
- 10:53Speaker 1: culture today knowing that souls are being lost and the
- 10:58Speaker 1: enemy is dragging people's straight to hell. And I'm talking
- 11:03Speaker 1: specifically for the rap culture. I'm talking about mainstream rap,
- 11:09Speaker 1: even the gospel rappers that sell out. We even know
- 11:14Speaker 1: today that there's a lot of rappers that are actually
- 11:17Speaker 1: performing satanic rituals right in the midst of their own concerts.
- 11:25Speaker 1: You've seen this played out. Does that entertain us? Do
- 11:29Speaker 1: you find entertainment in the music today? Or does it
- 11:35Speaker 1: trouble your spirit? That's a question we need to ask.
- 11:40Speaker 1: And you know, even worldly people, ungodly people are starting
- 11:43Speaker 1: to turn away from the genre because they're seeing the
- 11:47Speaker 1: effects of it. Now today we scroll past send today,
- 11:59Speaker 1: a lot of people laugh at it, and the enemy
- 12:03Speaker 1: of the enemy is to normalize it. But when Paul,
- 12:09Speaker 1: when he saw what was going on, he was stirred up.
- 12:17Speaker 1: So the sin still bother you or have you grown
- 12:22Speaker 1: numb to it? Are you able to watch people hurting?
- 12:27Speaker 1: Are you able to watch people have sex on TV?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Watch pornography? And it doesn't convict your heart or bother you.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Are you able to do the things that you fought
- 12:39Speaker 1: against when you first got saved?
- 12:44Speaker 2: Right?
- 12:45Speaker 1: Are you still able to take that drink or hang
- 12:50Speaker 1: around those drug addicts or drug dealers? Are you able
- 12:55Speaker 1: to just sit back and watch your own children be
- 12:58Speaker 1: destroyed by then? Or does that provoke you? And does
- 13:03Speaker 1: it stir you up? We need to ask the Holy
- 13:07Speaker 1: Spirit to do this work in us and to maintain
- 13:10Speaker 1: it and not grow numb, all right, Verse seventeen. Therefore
- 13:20Speaker 1: he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews, and with
- 13:23Speaker 1: the gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those
- 13:29Speaker 1: who happened to be there. Now Paul met people where
- 13:34Speaker 1: they were religious and scholar spaces. He went to the
- 13:41Speaker 1: synagogues as that was his custom, and now we see
- 13:45Speaker 1: him in the marketplaces. Now. He didn't hide in the church.
- 13:52Speaker 1: He went to the streets with the gospel. He didn't
- 13:56Speaker 1: hide in the four walls. He was just a church
- 14:01Speaker 1: go wher only I don't know. I think there's something
- 14:07Speaker 1: wrong when you have a lot of activities in church.
- 14:12Speaker 1: And don't get me wrong, I'm not the judge and
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm not to say that we shouldn't have a lot
- 14:20Speaker 1: of activities in church. As a matter of fact, staying
- 14:23Speaker 1: busy helps to keep us out of trouble. But the
- 14:29Speaker 1: question is at what point do you impact your community?
- 14:36Speaker 1: At what point do you go out? Like even with
- 14:39Speaker 1: his Hot we do go out, we do concerts, we
- 14:42Speaker 1: do events, But I'm even questioning our events, like how
- 14:47Speaker 1: many people are really touched? How many people are we
- 14:51Speaker 1: truly discipling when we do a concert or do an event. Now,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I believe that it's idol. I do believe it's important,
- 15:04Speaker 1: But where is the one on one We need to
- 15:08Speaker 1: knock on doors. We need to go talk to our neighbors.
- 15:11Speaker 1: We need to go where the people are, to the marketplace, Walmart, right,
- 15:16Speaker 1: we need to go to the stores and we need
- 15:19Speaker 1: to talk to people. Right. Your mission field isn't just
- 15:27Speaker 1: Sunday service. Your mission field is on the job. It's
- 15:35Speaker 1: on social media, your neighbor. Truth must go public And yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: this is not a lot of negative things we find
- 15:49Speaker 1: on social media. But I believe through social media we
- 15:54Speaker 1: have been able to evangelize in the reach more people.
- 16:02Speaker 2: With that tool.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Anything I believe in, especially here at his home, I
- 16:06Speaker 1: believe that if we take anything that the devil's perverted
- 16:11Speaker 1: and give it back to God, that God can get
- 16:14Speaker 1: the glory from it Amen, Verse eighteen. Then certain epicurean
- 16:24Speaker 1: in Stoic philosophers encountered him. Now, Epicureans equals pleasure is
- 16:32Speaker 1: the goal. If you break down these words, break down
- 16:37Speaker 1: these names. Epicurean means pleasure is the goal. Stoic means
- 16:45Speaker 1: surpasses emotion or endure life. I know at our church,
- 16:56Speaker 1: our pastor, he doesn't like people who just sit stoic
- 16:58Speaker 1: and they don't engage God in worship, surpasses emotion, like
- 17:06Speaker 1: they're just there. Both of these thoughts and philosophies, these
- 17:13Speaker 1: systems miss Christ altogether. Right, you can say it sounds familiar,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and today we can say that do what feels good.
- 17:30Speaker 1: That's the epicurean mindset. Do what thou will. That's the
- 17:37Speaker 1: only commandment in the Satanic Bible. He doesn't have ten commands.
- 17:43Speaker 1: He has one command. Whatever feels good, Do whatever you
- 17:49Speaker 1: want to do. And beloved, remember the flesh is at
- 17:55Speaker 1: enmity with the spirit. We can't allow our flesh to
- 17:59Speaker 1: do it what ever it wants to do. We gotta
- 18:01Speaker 1: treat the flesh like an enemy. God's remedy for our
- 18:05Speaker 1: flesh is death. Pick up our cross daily and stoic.
- 18:11Speaker 1: The stoic mindset is just survive. Don't feel, don't feel anything,
- 18:18Speaker 1: don't feel any emotions, just survive, Just sit there and
- 18:22Speaker 1: just be there. But Paul, he brought something different. He
- 18:28Speaker 1: talked about resurrection power through Jesus, and so this really
- 18:33Speaker 1: got their attention nineteen or twenty says, and they took
- 18:40Speaker 1: him and brought him to Darrow Pugas. Hopefully I'm pronouncing
- 18:46Speaker 1: that right.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Now.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Aropugus is what they call mars Heel. I know that
- 18:55Speaker 1: we're all familiar with the term. The sermon on mars Heell.
- 19:01Speaker 1: This was where new ideas were tested and judged. And
- 19:08Speaker 1: it's just amazing. Description said they had nothing else to
- 19:10Speaker 1: do but to sit there and test and judge new ideas.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Now Paul wasn't canceled. He was challenged at this point.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Now check this out. When you carry the truth, when
- 19:38Speaker 1: you are a keeper of the truth, and when you
- 19:41Speaker 1: make the truth public like Paul the Apostle did, you
- 19:46Speaker 1: can expect questions. People are gonna throw questions at you.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Don't trip and just be honest. Let them know, Hey,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I don't know this, but I will go and get
- 19:59Speaker 1: the answer. And most of the times, Holy Spirit, if
- 20:03Speaker 1: you tune in to the Holy Spirit, he will give
- 20:06Speaker 1: you the answer. And if you're in your word study
- 20:10Speaker 1: to show thyself approve, you can dig in your resources
- 20:15Speaker 1: and give them scripture references. You can also expect resistance.
- 20:24Speaker 1: There are a lot of people who are going to
- 20:27Speaker 1: have a problem with truth because they love their deception.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Remember Jesus says that Satan is the father of lies,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and he also said that Satan was your father to
- 20:44Speaker 1: a group of people when they were confronting him. He says,
- 20:48Speaker 1: you want to do the will of your father, the devil.
- 20:50Speaker 1: The lust that he has is what you want to do.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And so there are a lot of children that belong
- 20:58Speaker 1: to Satan that will resist the truth. Remember, beloved, we
- 21:06Speaker 1: live in a fallen world. This is not our home,
- 21:10Speaker 1: this is not a playground. There are demonic people running
- 21:17Speaker 1: around on this planet resisting every chance they get the truth.
- 21:25Speaker 1: But remember, greater is he that is in us and
- 21:27Speaker 1: he that is in the world. Don't trip. And also
- 21:31Speaker 1: you can expect scrutiny. People will scrutinize you. And I've
- 21:40Speaker 1: gone through all three of these things. I'm a witness.
- 21:46Speaker 1: But once again, don't trip, don't shrink back. You gotta
- 21:50Speaker 1: stand firm with the truth. Amen, you cannot compromise it
- 21:58Speaker 1: at all. Verse twenty one. They spent their time in
- 22:04Speaker 1: nothing else but either to tell or to hear some
- 22:08Speaker 1: new things. Now, how do they get away with that?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Like I can understand it today because we have a
- 22:18Speaker 1: government that will you know, they call it a bureaucracy, righty, Well,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe Trump has cleaned a lot of
- 22:28Speaker 1: this stuff out. But when they went through and they
- 22:31Speaker 1: looked at all the government spending, they were saying that
- 22:35Speaker 1: there are people that were there that all they did
- 22:37Speaker 1: was just set around and tried to prove animals commutate
- 22:44Speaker 1: and and or they just sit there and think they're
- 22:47Speaker 1: just sitting there all day, just thinking about stuff and
- 22:51Speaker 1: not doing nothing like getting paid for that. So I
- 22:53Speaker 1: wonder how how did they do this back in the
- 22:55Speaker 1: ancient days? Did they have a bureaucracy there where they
- 22:58Speaker 1: were working for the government and they spent time and
- 23:03Speaker 1: nothing else, Like how do they get paid? How do
- 23:05Speaker 1: they take care of their families? I don't know. I
- 23:08Speaker 1: don't know if I'm speaking because I'm jealous or what,
- 23:11Speaker 1: But that just curious to me. Anyway. They were addicted
- 23:21Speaker 1: to novelty, not truth. Now, if we talk to today's culture,
- 23:31Speaker 1: you would say that they were trends. They were addicted
- 23:36Speaker 1: to what was trending, what was the trending thing of
- 23:39Speaker 1: the day, what was new or just viral content, right,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Or they just wanted new revelations. They wanted to be
- 23:50Speaker 1: up on something new or something different. The truth is
- 23:56Speaker 1: not new, Truth is eternal. And man, when you said
- 24:03Speaker 1: that again, truth is not new. Truth is eternal, and
- 24:10Speaker 1: we can get caught up on that. We can get
- 24:12Speaker 1: caught up on what's the latest, especially in the age
- 24:15Speaker 1: of Ai. The Bible says that knowledge will increase in
- 24:20Speaker 1: the last days, and man, knowledge, there's so much knowledge
- 24:24Speaker 1: out there. I mean, we get we're getting bombarded with
- 24:27Speaker 1: knowledge left and right. We're getting numb to it, we're
- 24:31Speaker 1: getting worn out with it. But just learning something new
- 24:38Speaker 1: or getting some new gadget it wears out after a while.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Then we're seeking something else new, and it's something that
- 24:46Speaker 1: will never never satisfy. The only thing that will satisfy
- 24:51Speaker 1: is being rooted and grounded in truth. Hey man, let's
- 24:58Speaker 1: take a break.

- 30:22Speaker 1: be held accountable, where we're honest with ourselves and honest
- 30:26Speaker 1: with our brothers and sisters. What are we struggling with?
- 30:31Speaker 1: What is your weakness?
- 30:33Speaker 2: Right?
- 30:34Speaker 1: A wise person will do that, because then we will
- 30:37Speaker 1: know how to af fordify and we will know. Trust me,
- 30:41Speaker 1: there are demonic entities out there that all they do
- 30:46Speaker 1: and to study your weaknesses. They study how to get in.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Where are the kinks in your armor? Where are the
- 30:54Speaker 1: cracks that they can slither through? This is what the
- 30:58Speaker 1: enemy does. Twenty four said, He's been doing this for
- 31:01Speaker 1: thousands of years, studying us, trying to see a way
- 31:06Speaker 1: in so that he can establish legal right over your life.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Right because he can't force us, but he can deceive
- 31:15Speaker 1: us and trick us and have given him power because
- 31:19Speaker 1: he has no power over us because of the cross.
- 31:24Speaker 1: And so we should take note of that right. We
- 31:28Speaker 1: should study our own weaknesses and then learn how to fortify.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I'm speaking to myself right now, a man. We will
- 31:36Speaker 1: know better how the enemy will attack and recognize him
- 31:40Speaker 1: when he's coming. You know, my thing is, my biggest
- 31:45Speaker 1: struggle has always been pornography and sexual im morality. So
- 31:49Speaker 1: I have to watch where my eyes go, you know
- 31:52Speaker 1: what I mean. I can't stare too long or look
- 31:56Speaker 1: too long, you know. I got to watch my relationships.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You know, there's some people that they'll just form a
- 32:03Speaker 1: soul tie just out of I've been in situations where,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know, I'm at work with the opposite sex and
- 32:13Speaker 1: we develop a relationship to the point where they expect
- 32:17Speaker 1: me to bring them lunch every day, or you know,
- 32:20Speaker 1: put gas in their cars, like like you know, they
- 32:23Speaker 1: you know how they call it nowadays, your work wife
- 32:26Speaker 1: or your work husband, like like, I'm doing things that
- 32:30Speaker 1: only their husbands should be doing, you know. And I've
- 32:32Speaker 1: fallen in those traps before, and I've fallen to an
- 32:37Speaker 1: adultery and fornication when I was younger. You know, it's
- 32:42Speaker 1: a nasty fight. But now I've put up strict boundaries
- 32:46Speaker 1: to where even my wife sometimes get irritated, you know,
- 32:50Speaker 1: And so you know, because I know, you know, I
- 32:54Speaker 1: don't want my flesh to arise or to go back,
- 32:57Speaker 1: and I don't want to send against God. I don't
- 32:59Speaker 1: want to hurt. I've heard them enough, belove it, and
- 33:03Speaker 1: I'll just think about it. I gotta say. When I
- 33:04Speaker 1: was fifteen and I'm still trying to get this together. No,
- 33:08Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. You know I'm not out there,
- 33:12Speaker 1: you know, living a compromised life, you know, indulged in
- 33:16Speaker 1: his sexual sin. But you know now I want to
- 33:21Speaker 1: hate it and be so far from it to where
- 33:25Speaker 1: you know, I just I don't even want it to
- 33:27Speaker 1: come to mind anymore. And so you know, that's a
- 33:31Speaker 1: part of being accountable, you know, having someone in our
- 33:34Speaker 1: lives to say, how are you doing? You know, are
- 33:36Speaker 1: you still struggling?
- 33:38Speaker 5: You know?
- 33:38Speaker 1: Can we pray? Share a scripture? You know, remind us
- 33:42Speaker 1: of what the Word of God says. So if you
- 33:44Speaker 1: don't have a partner in your life that can speak
- 33:48Speaker 1: into your life like that, if it's not your pastor
- 33:50Speaker 1: if it's not a brother or sister or someone you trust,
- 33:54Speaker 1: someone is not going to gossip or whatever. You can
- 33:57Speaker 1: go further with this by click on the app the
- 34:01Speaker 1: top level menu, click on podcasts, click on his Hot

- 34:38Speaker 1: I got checked, Amen, And then ask the question when
- 34:44Speaker 1: was the last time you were convicted not entertained by
- 34:50Speaker 1: what you saw? Love it? There is a tactic behind Hollywood.
- 34:57Speaker 1: There is a tactic behind the entertainment industry, the music
- 35:02Speaker 1: and all that, even social media. They want you to
- 35:04Speaker 1: be desensitized to sin. They want it to be normalized.
- 35:10Speaker 1: They want it to seem like, oh, this is a
- 35:12Speaker 1: part of life. But they're just trying to cook you
- 35:19Speaker 1: slowly cook society in a pot. They want to drag
- 35:23Speaker 1: us the hell we need to be stirred up and
- 35:26Speaker 1: convicted every time we get around sin Amen. Now text
- 35:32Speaker 1: your accountability partner today. Pray that my spirit stays sensitive
- 35:39Speaker 1: to God. Amen, hallelujah. Also, I'm just going to let

- 36:47Speaker 1: a splash a couple of days ago, but then she disappeared.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You know, if y'all don't know missus, his hob's that's
- 36:52Speaker 1: my wife, that's the wife there. Then she's supposed to
- 36:56Speaker 1: be doing a takeover here. Pretty soon you know how
- 37:00Speaker 1: life be life in right And so Zone three is
- 37:04Speaker 1: back on top as the trivia champ. He got the
- 37:08Speaker 1: question correct yesterday. So let's see who is the champ today.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Get your fingers ready head over to the Life Chat.
- 37:18Speaker 1: The first one to get the answer is the champion
- 37:23Speaker 1: for today. So the question is where did Paul preach
- 37:28Speaker 1: in Athens? If you've been paying attention today, you should
- 37:36Speaker 1: get it. Where did Paul preach? Did he preaching the
- 37:40Speaker 1: temple in the marketplace on Mars Hill or erro goappus
- 37:47Speaker 1: or was it all the above?
- 37:48Speaker 2: All right?
- 37:49Speaker 1: I mean the first one to get the answer right. Also,
- 37:56Speaker 1: I want to give a community shout out. This is

- 38:12Speaker 1: I'm feeling better. If you've been following the podcast, you
- 38:17Speaker 1: know that I was in the gym and the weight
- 38:23Speaker 1: you know, I was benching ninety pounds, Thank god it
- 38:25Speaker 1: wasn't heavier, and the bar just slipped out of my
- 38:29Speaker 1: hands and it hit my chest. I was bruised pretty good.
- 38:33Speaker 1: About the grace of God. I am healing. Thank you
- 38:36Speaker 1: for your prayers and your support to appreciate. Shout out
- 38:42Speaker 1: was on three from checking on me the other day. Amen. Amen,
- 38:47Speaker 1: keep us in prayer, y'all. I don't know how it happened,
- 38:50Speaker 1: Like as long as I've been going to the gym
- 38:52Speaker 1: for years, that has never happened before. So you know,
- 38:57Speaker 1: the enemies defeated. Also, we're talking different events we're going

- 39:30Speaker 1: just share and highlight our nonprofit organization. We have been
- 39:35Speaker 1: an organization for four years. We go to the community.
- 39:39Speaker 1: We are scheduled to go to the June Now Detention
- 39:42Speaker 1: Center and do events and testify over there with them. Also,
- 39:49Speaker 1: we just go out into the community. We just show
- 39:51Speaker 1: up in the park or somewhere. We actually started as
- 39:56Speaker 1: a Christian club back in twenty twelve. We had a
- 39:59Speaker 1: building for six and a half years, five thousand square
- 40:03Speaker 1: foot warehouse. We decked it out into a menu and
- 40:07Speaker 1: we evangelized to our community and we're looking for a
- 40:12Speaker 1: new headquarters. We're looking to relaunch we open Club hit House.
- 40:16Speaker 1: We believe that this is necessary for our community, but
- 40:21Speaker 1: we also need to raise funds and finances. We do
- 40:25Speaker 1: believe that where God guide, he provides, So that's why
- 40:29Speaker 1: we took care of our business house, got our house
- 40:33Speaker 1: in order, and we become became a nonprofit five O
- 40:37Speaker 1: one ced three because we want you to be able
- 40:41Speaker 1: to benefit as well. As you donate, you can write

- 40:52Speaker 1: And if you're a grant writer or a sponsor or
- 40:58Speaker 1: donor or support, if you want to come and volunteer,
- 41:02Speaker 1: you can do that. Head over to the website his
- 41:06Speaker 1: hot nation dot com. Now we have our final comments
- 41:19Speaker 1: and our final takeaway here as we close out the
- 41:27Speaker 1: podcast today. The key takeaways for today is a spirit
- 41:35Speaker 1: filled with God's will, or should I say, a spirit
- 41:44Speaker 1: filled with God will be provoked by sin, not entertained
- 41:52Speaker 1: by it. Watch out, be careful for what you allow
- 41:57Speaker 1: to entertain you. Amen, watch out for what you allow
- 42:08Speaker 1: to entertain you We should not allow sin to entertain us.
- 42:11Speaker 1: We should not be desensitized to it. We should not
- 42:15Speaker 1: look at it like it's no big deal. It is
- 42:18Speaker 1: a major deal. This three letter words sin is what
- 42:23Speaker 1: going to keep millions upon millions out of the Kingdom.
- 42:30Speaker 1: A lot of people are going to miss the Kingdom
- 42:35Speaker 1: because of that word sin. We should grieve over it.
- 42:40Speaker 1: We should hate it. We should be at war with
- 42:42Speaker 1: it and not entertained by it. Also, the gospel must
- 42:47Speaker 1: go beyond church walls. We must go to the marketplace,
- 42:52Speaker 1: the byways and highways where every people gather is where
- 42:56Speaker 1: we need to bring the gospel. Amen. Also, culture offers
- 43:04Speaker 1: many philosophies, but only Christ gives truth. There's many philosophies,
- 43:12Speaker 1: many ideas, many things out there. They are meant to
- 43:17Speaker 1: distract us. But if we want truth, we got to
- 43:22Speaker 1: go directly to Jesus. Say man, and don't chase what
- 43:28Speaker 1: is new. Stand on what is eternal. The world puts
- 43:35Speaker 1: so much value on what is new. They idolize the youth.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Right at least in America they do. You know, they
- 43:45Speaker 1: this country disregards our elderly. They just push them to
- 43:50Speaker 1: the side. All the wisdom and experience that they offer us.
- 43:57Speaker 1: They push that to the side and they focus on
- 44:00Speaker 1: the youth, the young, and the inexperience because it's new, right.
- 44:04Speaker 1: They want a new They want something new, the new
- 44:07Speaker 1: pair of shoes that are coming out, the new fab,
- 44:10Speaker 1: the new song, the new this and new that. No,
- 44:13Speaker 1: it's not about what's new. It's all about what stands
- 44:18Speaker 1: for all eternity. Amen. Your voice matters in the marketplace,
- 44:28Speaker 1: even if you're a business owner. That's why I love
- 44:30Speaker 1: His Hot Nation because it is yeared around Jesus. It
- 44:36Speaker 1: is an organization, but it's like an organization pursuing after Christ. Amen.
- 44:45Speaker 1: And we want y'all to come along with us. All right, y'all,
- 44:50Speaker 1: that is my time. We appreciate you find me social
- 44:54Speaker 1: media mister his hop or you can also find us
- 44:58Speaker 1: his Hot Nation on social media. We appreciate each and
- 45:02Speaker 1: every one that has spent time with us. Today. We
- 45:05Speaker 1: shout out the live chat Zon three Corinth Qrinth. Where
- 45:10Speaker 1: you've been brother, We're kind of worried about you. We're
- 45:12Speaker 1: gonna reach out to you. Corinth hasn't been around, you know.
- 45:15Speaker 1: We hold each other accountable. We are a community. We
- 45:18Speaker 1: just love and care about y'all. It's very encouraging when
- 45:22Speaker 1: I see activity in that live chat. And if you
- 45:25Speaker 1: miss us at eleven, that doesn't matter. We will see
- 45:28Speaker 1: it post twenty four seven. We will see all the
- 45:31Speaker 1: posts there. And you know you can submit your prayer

- 46:05Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 46:09Speaker 3: is the hisis Hop Radio show.
