- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 0:12Speaker 2: radio show, got a good one for you today. Tommy
- 0:16Speaker 2: text me and hit me with a thought this morning
- 0:20Speaker 2: that caused me to thinking a little bit deeper about it.
- 0:24Speaker 1: And the text of.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Tommy sent me this morning said that a tree yields
- 0:27Speaker 2: fruit seasonally, but even when it's not yielding, it's still
- 0:31Speaker 2: a fruit tree. Don't get upset at not producing. Your
- 0:35Speaker 2: season is coming if you stay planted. Okay, one more time.
- 0:40Speaker 2: A fruit tree yields seasonally, but even when it's not yielding,
- 0:45Speaker 2: it's still a fruit tree. Don't get upset and not producing,
- 0:49Speaker 2: because your season is coming if you stay planted.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Now, that meant something to me this morning, and it
- 0:56Speaker 2: caused me to start to thinking it through a little
- 0:59Speaker 2: bit deep in terms of what has happened in my life.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Because here's the deal. The thing that I just learned
- 1:09Speaker 2: recently was about seasons in your life. Seasons. I was
- 1:15Speaker 2: familiar with it all my life. My mother taught it
- 1:18Speaker 2: to me. I've experienced it, but I didn't really get
- 1:21Speaker 2: it until of late.
- 1:23Speaker 1: The thing about.
- 1:24Speaker 2: The seasons in your life is when we start thinking
- 1:27Speaker 2: about When you hear people in Churchill, you hear people
- 1:29Speaker 2: say it's your season is coming. Boy, you in your season?
- 1:33Speaker 2: You know what was messing me up a little bit,
- 1:35Speaker 2: and it might be messing you up. I thought of
- 1:37Speaker 2: seasons just like I did the seasons winter, spring, summer,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and fall. But I had it on the timeline just
- 1:48Speaker 2: like seasons quarterly a year.
- 1:52Speaker 1: So I looked at boy, is your season, Your season
- 1:55Speaker 1: is coming.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I looked at it as a short span of time,
- 2:00Speaker 2: and then I was gonna go back to the barrenness
- 2:03Speaker 2: of winter. And then something might happen a little later
- 2:06Speaker 2: on in the spring and something pop through the ground
- 2:08Speaker 2: and flowers show up, and then they might survive. The
- 2:11Speaker 2: summer is good, and it's going good all summer long,
- 2:14Speaker 2: and I'm guiding them harvesting crops.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Then the fall come and start fading the in winter.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I go back to suffering the barrenness.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Of winter like a crop. But here's what I learned.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You cannot look at your season in life and the
- 2:30Speaker 1: seasons that we go through with the same eye for
- 2:34Speaker 1: seasons as you do with crops. Because God's timeline is
- 2:38Speaker 1: totally different.
- 2:39Speaker 2: See, a season to God could be a really extended
- 2:43Speaker 2: period of time. It could be the duration of your life.
- 2:49Speaker 2: That's what a season is in God's timeline. See God
- 2:52Speaker 2: is expansive man, He's way bigger than the regular thing.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So what may be a season two a farmer, A
- 3:00Speaker 2: season for God could be three hundred years, fifty years,
- 3:03Speaker 2: sixty years, eighty years, you in now. So I had
- 3:07Speaker 2: to learn that because I was afraid that seasonally meant
- 3:12Speaker 2: that this blessing would be for a short period of time.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Then I go back. Then here come another burst, and
- 3:17Speaker 2: then I go back. I'll fire a few more night shots,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and now I can have a nice summer. And then
- 3:22Speaker 2: I started withing away and here come winning again. The
- 3:25Speaker 2: first things first, that's not how it worked for me,
- 3:28Speaker 2: and that's how I had to learn. So now let's
- 3:30Speaker 2: talk about it with that in mind. See what the
- 3:34Speaker 2: text time he sent me meant a lot to me,
- 3:36Speaker 2: because see, everybody is a fruit tree. We are all
- 3:42Speaker 2: a fruit tree. But here's the key, though, we are
- 3:45Speaker 2: all different kinds of fruit trees. Oh see that's the difference.
- 3:50Speaker 2: And that's the other thing was tripping me off. See
- 3:53Speaker 2: I was looking at the other trees, trying to figure
- 3:58Speaker 2: out why I wasn't given and bearing the same fruit
- 4:02Speaker 2: that they would bury. Why wasn't I a billionaire? Why
- 4:07Speaker 2: wasn't I a yacht owner? Why didn't I come up
- 4:11Speaker 2: with the next great idea? Why wasn't I the next
- 4:15Speaker 2: big producer? Why wasn't I the next big major star.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Why wasn't I the one that came up with some
- 4:23Speaker 2: earth shattering idea and invention that would change the scope
- 4:26Speaker 2: of the world and all this money would flow me?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Why wasn't I Because that ain't my fruit, that that's
- 4:32Speaker 2: not my tree.
- 4:33Speaker 1: See, everybody can't be Steve Jobs.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Everybody's not gonna be the guy that comes up with
- 4:39Speaker 2: the next invention that changes the world. You ain't the right, brothers.
- 4:43Speaker 2: You may not be the one to think of flight?
- 4:45Speaker 2: For what is your fruit?
- 4:46Speaker 1: Though?
- 4:47Speaker 2: See your fruit is plenty, see and and and and
- 4:50Speaker 2: what the what the text was saying is your fruit?
- 4:54Speaker 2: You you bear fruits seasonally. That means it's coming. Sometimes
- 4:58Speaker 2: you're still sprouting. Well, when you sprouting, you can't have
- 5:01Speaker 2: fruit on you yet. What you're tripping for? You just sprouted,
- 5:05Speaker 2: You just came up through the dirt. You've been hustling
- 5:08Speaker 2: and grinded. You just popped up through the dirt. Now
- 5:11Speaker 2: you're a young tree, you a bush. Even if you
- 5:14Speaker 2: have fruit on it, your bark and your limbs ain't
- 5:16Speaker 2: strong enough to hold the fruit. The size of the
- 5:20Speaker 2: fruit would break your limbs if you get it too early.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Pa, Come on, man, don't you understand this? Now? This
- 5:27Speaker 1: what this text meant to me?
- 5:29Speaker 2: And so while I wanted fruit, I wasn't ready to
- 5:33Speaker 2: hold the fruit. So you gotta strengthen yourself. You gotta
- 5:37Speaker 2: get focused. You gotta be who you're supposed to be.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You gotta try hard. God, the fruit the season is
- 5:42Speaker 2: coming for you, because everybody is a fruit tree, and
- 5:45Speaker 2: everybody gonna bath fruit.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But what you cannot do is think that. Look, if
- 5:51Speaker 1: you're a.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Lemon tree and your fruit that you bear is living,
- 5:53Speaker 2: this is analogy. Now I'm talking about whatever your gift is.
- 5:57Speaker 2: The fruit you bear is a lemon tree. But you
- 5:59Speaker 2: look over there, and you looking at the apple archid,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and you going, man, But them apples is big and red.
- 6:04Speaker 1: More people eat apples than eat lemons. You sell more
- 6:07Speaker 1: apples than you do lemons. Oh that's true. So now
- 6:10Speaker 1: guess what you do Now you uproot yourself.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You take yourself up out of who you are and
- 6:16Speaker 2: what you were born to do. You remove yourself from
- 6:20Speaker 2: your gift, You take yourself all out of who you
- 6:23Speaker 2: really are. Going over there trying to be an apple tree.
- 6:27Speaker 2: When God made you the lemon tree. Now guess what.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Now you're all about the soil. You ain't rooted no more,
- 6:35Speaker 2: can't no nutrients come up through your roots to even
- 6:37Speaker 2: feed the limons that He bore you to have. Now
- 6:40Speaker 2: you over there trying to be an apple. Well, ain't
- 6:42Speaker 2: no room in the apple archer for the lemon tree.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Now you're wondering why you can't get your roots down
- 6:47Speaker 2: in there, why they ain't accepting you?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Now you're barren man? Who woo is me? Lord? You
- 6:51Speaker 1: don't never get me no fruit.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It's because you keep moving, You keep taking yourself out
- 6:58Speaker 2: of who you are, keep removing yourself from the soil
- 7:02Speaker 2: that you was planted in. You keep taking yourself out
- 7:05Speaker 2: your orchard. Stop trying to be an apple. If you
- 7:08Speaker 2: was born to be a lemon, what's wrong with lemons?
- 7:10Speaker 2: I like lemonade. A lot of people I know like lemonade.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Lemonade.
- 7:14Speaker 2: If you stay focused with it. You might be the
- 7:16Speaker 2: only one with the good limits. Now everybody the need
- 7:19Speaker 2: limits gotta come to you. Oh man. But if you
- 7:21Speaker 2: keep uprooting yourself moving, you'll never better fruit that you
- 7:25Speaker 2: was born to bear. Everybody is a fruit tree. But
- 7:28Speaker 2: you got to stay planted, man, You gotta stay nourished.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You gotta talk to your creator who made you, and
- 7:35Speaker 2: find out what fruit you supposed to bear, and then
- 7:38Speaker 2: in your season. It's coming, man, your season is coming.
- 7:42Speaker 2: But you got to stay planted, and you got to
- 7:45Speaker 2: realize through contacting your creator what type of fruit tree
- 7:49Speaker 2: you are. And quit looking at the other orchids trying
- 7:53Speaker 2: to get over there, and they got more fruit than you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That's not who you are. Stop trying to be something
- 7:58Speaker 1: that you are not. Name to the Steve Harvey Morning
