- 0:00Speaker 1: Now it is Mark Simone Show on sevent tenor.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, it's gonna be very hot today. This will be
- 0:11Speaker 2: the hottest day of the week heat waved day to day.
- 0:13Speaker 2: It'll get up into upper upper nineties. It's already like
- 0:16Speaker 2: ninety two degrees. It'll cool down down to ninety two
- 0:20Speaker 2: tomorrow and then should be okay for the rest of
- 0:23Speaker 2: the week as far as temperature. But very very very
- 0:27Speaker 2: hot today. So a lot to get to Iran. We'll
- 0:31Speaker 2: get to Chuck Schumer, his bodily functions, horrifying people in
- 0:35Speaker 2: the Congress. We'll get to a lot of hearings today,
- 0:39Speaker 2: Jay Clayton, Todd Blanche, We'll get to Ice and Tom
- 0:43Speaker 2: Holman and Joe Biden has caved into the Democratic leadership
- 0:50Speaker 2: on something. We'll get to Crazy Mom Donnie and his
- 0:54Speaker 2: disgusting shantytown. His homeless encampment goes for twelve blocks on
- 0:59Speaker 2: the West Side, absolutely disgusting. We get to Leechennai's disease
- 1:03Speaker 2: and daylight saving time, and a lot more coming up.
- 1:06Speaker 2: And we've been bombing around heavily all night, just pounding
- 1:09Speaker 2: it all night long, hitting all kinds of targets. President
- 1:14Speaker 2: Trump has said we'll keep this up for a couple
- 1:17Speaker 2: of weeks and if they don't make a peace agreement.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I mean, we're hitting military targets right now. But he said,
- 1:24Speaker 2: if they don't come to an agreement in the next
- 1:27Speaker 2: few weeks, they'll start to go after energy targets, power plants, bridges, infrastructure.
- 1:34Speaker 2: This is normal in warfare. You know when you go
- 1:36Speaker 2: to war, that's the first thing you do is you
- 1:38Speaker 2: hit take out all the bridges, take out the power plants,
- 1:41Speaker 2: take out the water. It's the first thing you do
- 1:42Speaker 2: in anyway Iraq war. We did it to day one
- 1:45Speaker 2: and two, but the President says I'll save that for last.
- 1:49Speaker 2: We hope we don't have to do it, but if
- 1:51Speaker 2: we have to do it, we'll do it. He said,
- 1:53Speaker 2: We're going to continue to hit them, night after night
- 1:55Speaker 2: after night. Actually said next week if it gets really
- 1:59Speaker 2: bad for them, because next week, if they haven't made
- 2:01Speaker 2: an agreement, will start on power plants straight Ohorn Moose
- 2:06Speaker 2: is closed right now. We can reopen it when we
- 2:08Speaker 2: want to. We have. Before there was this Trump plan
- 2:12Speaker 2: to charge ships twenty a twenty percent toll to come through.
- 2:18Speaker 2: The President dropped that you follow the fake news if
- 2:22Speaker 2: you read the New York Times or MSNBC. They'll make
- 2:25Speaker 2: it look like he was just flip flopping like crazy.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Why he backed off? The President backed off. Actually, what
- 2:31Speaker 2: happened is all the golf states called him and asked him.
- 2:36Speaker 2: They actually made a deal with him, don't do the
- 2:38Speaker 2: tolls and instead we'll take the same amount of money
- 2:41Speaker 2: and will invest it in the United States, which is
- 2:44Speaker 2: a much better deal. So no tolls. Golf leaders have
- 2:47Speaker 2: all agreed will invest tremendously in the United States instead
- 2:51Speaker 2: of paying that fee. These investments will be massive, but
- 2:54Speaker 2: at the same time very good for them and for us.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So it's a pretty good deal that he struck. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 2: you know, the Iraqi president was in the White House
- 3:05Speaker 2: yesterday for meetings. Now it's hard to ever imagine this,
- 3:10Speaker 2: but we're now working closely with Iraq. We got all
- 3:13Speaker 2: our oil companies in there about to get tons of
- 3:17Speaker 2: oil out of there. One reason we're doing this is
- 3:18Speaker 2: it'll completely screw up Iran in the future. Will dramatically
- 3:23Speaker 2: increase oil production and oil export out of Iraq, which
- 3:27Speaker 2: will screw up Iran. I know it sounds kind of
- 3:30Speaker 2: stranger Iraq in the White House, but you know, it's
- 3:33Speaker 2: like Vietnam. Nobody could ever imagine that we'd be friends
- 3:37Speaker 2: with Vietnam one day. They were our worst enemy for years.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Nobody could imagine ever there'd be a time where American
- 3:44Speaker 2: tourists would love to go to Vietnam and stay at
- 3:47Speaker 2: the Saigon Four Seasons, the Hanoi Ritz Carlton. We never
- 3:50Speaker 2: thought we'd see that, But that's what happened. Simply with Japan.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I mean, there was a time after World War Two
- 3:56Speaker 2: you could never imagine we'd have any kind of friendly
- 3:59Speaker 2: relationship with your But as who said it, some great
- 4:04Speaker 2: statesmen said it, we don't have permanent friends, we don't
- 4:07Speaker 2: have permanent foes. We only have permanent interests. So Iraq
- 4:12Speaker 2: yesterday meeting with the President, well, we don't think we need.
- 4:14Speaker 3: The military there anymore. It's a very big operation. And
- 4:20Speaker 3: what we do have is the oil companies are all
- 4:22Speaker 3: going in now when they're doing partnerships with Iraq, and
- 4:27Speaker 3: they're getting along very well.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Now it's going to be just like Vietnam. There's gonna
- 4:32Speaker 2: be a Baghdad Hilton of Baghdad four Seasons. You're going
- 4:36Speaker 2: to walk around Iraq. There's gonna be Starbucks everywhere they'll be.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It'll just be like Vietnam. You know how many times
- 4:43Speaker 2: you somebody said we're going to Vietnam on their vacation.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You're going to see people going to Iraq on their
- 4:47Speaker 2: vacation within a couple of years. We're now friends with that.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Iran was a big burden on Iraq because they were
- 4:56Speaker 3: the bully of the Middle East, as you know, and
- 4:58Speaker 3: we were just talking about that. But they're not going
- 5:01Speaker 3: to have that problem anymore because Iran has been very
- 5:04Speaker 3: much destabilized and really their military powers just a tiny
- 5:12Speaker 3: fraction of what it was just four months ago.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so no matter what happens at this point, the
- 5:16Speaker 2: threat of Iran, the bully of the Middle East, threatening everybody,
- 5:20Speaker 2: they really can't threaten. They have no military left, no
- 5:22Speaker 2: air Force, no navy. They have some defensive capability, but
- 5:26Speaker 2: that's about it. And money wise, we've completely bankrupted them,
- 5:31Speaker 2: shutting down their oil exports, so they really are totally
- 5:36Speaker 2: out of it now as far as threatening the whole region. Hey,
- 5:39Speaker 2: today there's a lot of testimony Todd Blanche confirmation hearings
- 5:44Speaker 2: for Attorney General J. Clayton, who is a great guy.
- 5:48Speaker 2: He was our US attorney here in the Manhattan. Great guy.
- 5:51Speaker 2: He's going to go through confirmation hearing. He's now they're
- 5:53Speaker 2: going to when Democrats really know how to do these
- 5:57Speaker 2: confirmation hearings. It's all theatrics, it's all the cameras, it's
- 6:00Speaker 2: all to create clips to play all over the fake news.
- 6:04Speaker 2: So they'll yell and scream at Todd Blanche about anything
- 6:07Speaker 2: and everything. Same thing with Jay Clayton. With that Todd Blanche.
- 6:10Speaker 2: They're yelling at him about the Epstein files. They really
- 6:13Speaker 2: got to give up on these Epstein files. I mean,
- 6:15Speaker 2: nice try, but there was nothing there. I mean, it's
- 6:18Speaker 2: ugly stuff about Epstein, but that's it. It's pretty much Epstein.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Maybe Bill Gates, Prince Andrew and a bunch of Democrats
- 6:26Speaker 2: who got caught in there. But that's about it. Also,
- 6:30Speaker 2: later today Jay Clayton will testify. They'll go after Clayton
- 6:36Speaker 2: for a number of things. The New York Times reporters
- 6:39Speaker 2: that the Department of Justice has subpoena. They will go
- 6:42Speaker 2: after that. Now, if you watch the fake news or
- 6:44Speaker 2: read the New York Times or any of that, you're
- 6:47Speaker 2: getting the impression that it's law fare, that the Justice
- 6:51Speaker 2: Department is going after they're going to try to prosecute
- 6:55Speaker 2: these New York Times reporters just awful. Well, that's not
- 7:00Speaker 2: at all what's happening. Nobody in New York Times is
- 7:02Speaker 2: getting prosecuted or charged with anything. They're just being subpoenaed
- 7:07Speaker 2: as witnesses in a case. They seem to know a
- 7:10Speaker 2: lot about the new presidential jet, the new Air Force
- 7:12Speaker 2: won more than they're supposed to know, some of it classified,
- 7:16Speaker 2: So they're just being subpoena to testify about where these
- 7:19Speaker 2: leaks are coming from. So that's a pretty reasonable thing. Hey,
- 7:24Speaker 2: Joe Biden is going to do his big book tour.
- 7:28Speaker 2: This is a big thing for Biden. It's a money
- 7:30Speaker 2: making thing, although he's going to be quite surprised that
- 7:33Speaker 2: how nobody buys the book and he's not going to
- 7:35Speaker 2: make a lot of money. But he's even put out
- 7:38Speaker 2: a two minute trailer for the book. He's trying to
- 7:41Speaker 2: make it look like he was Winston Churchill, like he
- 7:43Speaker 2: was a great statesman.
- 7:45Speaker 4: He was just.
- 7:47Speaker 2: A bird's eye, frozen vegetable for four years, didn't know
- 7:50Speaker 2: where he was, didn't do anything. There was no cabinet meeting, nothing,
- 7:55Speaker 2: didn't know what was going I did absolutely nothing except
- 7:58Speaker 2: the only thing he really was active on was that
- 8:00Speaker 2: law fare. He had the dirtiest attorney general ever prosecuting
- 8:04Speaker 2: Donald Trump in multiple places at once. That was basically
- 8:07Speaker 2: his main activity. So the book was supposed to come
- 8:12Speaker 2: out in the early fall, you know, October something like that.
- 8:15Speaker 2: September October, that's the best time to launch a book.
- 8:18Speaker 2: That's the big time for a book launch. And if
- 8:21Speaker 2: you're the publisher and you gave this guy, you overpaid
- 8:24Speaker 2: this guy by millions, and he's a former president, well
- 8:27Speaker 2: obviously it's September October. That's when you do the book,
- 8:31Speaker 2: perfect time for a book release. Well, the Democratic leaders
- 8:35Speaker 2: have gotten to Biden and pretty much ordered him to
- 8:39Speaker 2: delay that book release till late November, which is not
- 8:43Speaker 2: the best time.
- 8:45Speaker 4: Now.
- 8:45Speaker 2: The reason is a book tom means Biden is all
- 8:49Speaker 2: over the place, all over TV, and he's going to
- 8:51Speaker 2: stumble and make gaps and look brain dead and not
- 8:54Speaker 2: know where he is. And the Democrats don't want people
- 8:57Speaker 2: reminded of all this, and they think it'll back affect
- 9:00Speaker 2: the mid term elections in November. So that's why they've
- 9:04Speaker 2: pretty much forced him to postpone the book release. Till
- 9:08Speaker 2: after the midterms. It could really screw up Democrats in
- 9:11Speaker 2: the midterms to get a look at Biden again. People
- 9:14Speaker 2: have you know, Democrats have this great skill at amnesia
- 9:18Speaker 2: forgetting all the horrible things they did, like four years
- 9:21Speaker 2: of telling us Biden was just fine and he was okay.
- 9:25Speaker 2: So it'll be a late November Kamala Harris if she
- 9:28Speaker 2: ever wants to run, this is a problem for her.
- 9:31Speaker 2: If she wants to run, she's got to just be
- 9:33Speaker 2: Kamala Harris. She can't be associated with feeble, crazy old
- 9:36Speaker 2: Joe Biden, so this book release will not be good
- 9:40Speaker 2: for her. So yesterday was these were interesting hearing. Supreme
- 9:44Speaker 2: Court needs more funding. They need a budget increase to
- 9:48Speaker 2: cover the security because of a crazy Democrats and they've
- 9:53Speaker 2: riled up their crazy lunatics out there. There've been all
- 9:57Speaker 2: kinds of threats on Supreme Court justices, people trying to
- 10:00Speaker 2: break into their house, people shooting at them, assassins being caught. Remember,
- 10:04Speaker 2: even Chuck Schumer called for terrible things to happen these justices,
- 10:09Speaker 2: and sure enough, the next day a lunatic was coming
- 10:13Speaker 2: up the lawn of It was a Cavanaugh with a gun,
- 10:16Speaker 2: a knife, rope, handcuffs, the whole thing. Luckily they caught him,
- 10:21Speaker 2: police arrested him, but dramatic testimony amy Cony Barrett talking
- 10:25Speaker 2: about how tough it was and.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Threats to my life were particularly intense. A few years ago,
- 10:30Speaker 5: around the time of the dob Sleek, my security details
- 10:33Speaker 5: sent me home with a bulletproof vest and I carried
- 10:36Speaker 5: it into my house, put it into my bedroom, dropped
- 10:38Speaker 5: it down on a table, turned around, and my twelve
- 10:41Speaker 5: year old son was standing in the doorway of my
- 10:43Speaker 5: bedroom and he wanted to know what it was and
- 10:46Speaker 5: why I had it, and I didn't know how to respond.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, Supreme Court justice used to be a
- 10:53Speaker 2: pretty quiet job and certainly not something where you had
- 10:56Speaker 2: to really worry about security. But it's just terrible. So
- 11:01Speaker 2: hopefully they'll get the funding increase. The big news of
- 11:04Speaker 2: the day, Chuck Schumer is on the Senate floor speaking
- 11:10Speaker 2: and let's out an enormous fart. Are you supposed to
- 11:16Speaker 2: say that word on the ear? I guess you can
- 11:17Speaker 2: say it, but Schumer, it was very loud and clear.
- 11:21Speaker 2: You know, sometimes they have some blooper where you think
- 11:24Speaker 2: it sound like the guy farted the newscasters, and you
- 11:27Speaker 2: can't be one hundred This was one hundred percent, absolute definite.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Everybody looked startled. Even Schumer kind of laughed. He tried
- 11:35Speaker 2: not to laugh, but he almost laughed. But it was loud.
- 11:37Speaker 2: It was clear. So this is Schumer now, besides the
- 11:40Speaker 2: fact that he's been a cheap, pandering, hustling politician, just
- 11:46Speaker 2: a cheap politician. The glasses get bigger every year. Now
- 11:50Speaker 2: he's like he's Uncle Junior on the Sopranos. Just remember
- 11:54Speaker 2: Uncle Junior just farting into that sofa cushion for the
- 11:57Speaker 2: last few years. That's what Schumer's because time for him
- 12:01Speaker 2: to go. I know, he's got a couple of years left.
- 12:03Speaker 2: He should step down right now and just get out
- 12:06Speaker 2: of there. Well, actually, maybe maybe he shouldn't because Hockel
- 12:10Speaker 2: then could appoint AOC or somebody. Yeah. I mean, the
- 12:15Speaker 2: good thing about Schumer he does absolutely nothing except go
- 12:18Speaker 2: around collecting donations. Hey, Ice, there's this two incidents, two shootings,
- 12:25Speaker 2: one in Maine where Ice had to shoot somebody who
- 12:28Speaker 2: was trying to ram them with his vehicle. He wasn't
- 12:31Speaker 2: the guy that we're looking for, but he tried to
- 12:32Speaker 2: ram him with his vehicle. This was a vehicle stop.
- 12:35Speaker 2: So Homan always steps into quiet things down and said,
- 12:39Speaker 2: let's not do any vehicle stops for a while. Here
- 12:43Speaker 2: here's Holman.
- 12:44Speaker 6: I'm confident they're going to get back to their policy
- 12:47Speaker 6: of vehicle stops. But they're doing, you know, what they
- 12:49Speaker 6: believe is unecessary short term pause just to look at
- 12:52Speaker 6: it and make sure everything's good.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Now. He called for a halt to vehicle stops for
- 12:57Speaker 2: a while, but then President Trump countermanded order and said
- 13:01Speaker 2: keep them up. But then Holman called Trump. They've spoken
- 13:04Speaker 2: at length, and I think Trump has agreed to just
- 13:07Speaker 2: give it a couple of weeks rest. Maine has gone
- 13:11Speaker 2: crazy left wing, and you know, this is like Minnesota.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Homan had to go there, spent a couple of weeks
- 13:18Speaker 2: quiet everything down.
- 13:19Speaker 6: This is going to be a short term review. So
- 13:21Speaker 6: ICE shows comfortable that their agents are safe, they're doing
- 13:24Speaker 6: the right thing, and get back to, you know, doing
- 13:27Speaker 6: what they do best, which is, you know, making vehicle stops.
- 13:30Speaker 6: But like I said, I'll say it again, but there
- 13:32Speaker 6: are options during the short time period to rest they
- 13:34Speaker 6: land before he gets in a moving weapon and arrest
- 13:38Speaker 6: them after it he stops.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so Maine is now a crazy left wing place.
- 13:44Speaker 2: How did that happen? Well, it's a very small population
- 13:46Speaker 2: in Maine. Small population means just a handful of people
- 13:51Speaker 2: can come in there and change the whole demographic, the
- 13:53Speaker 2: whole voter makeup. So all these crazy left wing people Massachusetts,
- 13:58Speaker 2: the Cambridge crowd. Remember during the pandemic, a lot of
- 14:00Speaker 2: people decided to leave the city moved to the suburbs.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Well in Boston that happened, and suburbs of them were Maine.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So a lot of people moved to Maine. A lot
- 14:08Speaker 2: of left wingers changed everything there. That's how these crazy
- 14:13Speaker 2: Grand Platinum types can run in Maine now. And the
- 14:16Speaker 2: protesters they're all up there.
- 14:18Speaker 1: That's the f out of our states.
- 14:22Speaker 2: So it's not the old main that you remember. It's
- 14:25Speaker 2: a whole different place. Hey, coming up, we'll get to
- 14:27Speaker 2: Mayor Mom Donnie and this awful shanty town. It started
- 14:31Speaker 2: out as a homeless encampment on the west side near
- 14:34Speaker 2: the Intrepid Big tourist attraction, and it's grown. The twelve
- 14:38Speaker 2: blocks they've tapped into street lights and all that to
- 14:43Speaker 2: steal electricity. So it's like these California, San Francisco, La.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Homeless cities where it just goes for blocks and blocks
- 14:52Speaker 2: and blocks. They've got electricity, it's gonna It's unbelievable that
- 14:58Speaker 2: a mayor would allow that to happen. Any other mayor,
- 15:01Speaker 2: as soon as it was half a block, would have
- 15:03Speaker 2: cleaned it up. This is twelve blocks in growing. So
- 15:06Speaker 2: we'll get to that throughout the program. Hey, we'll take
- 15:08Speaker 2: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 15:12Speaker 2: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:16Speaker 2: seven tens.
- 15:17Speaker 7: It breaks out in every show, Mark simone on seven ten.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Wr Hey, let's they can calls. Eight hundred three to
- 15:27Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go
- 15:29Speaker 2: to Carol in Stonybrook. Carol, how you doing.
- 15:33Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark. I listened to you every day. I
- 15:35Speaker 7: think you're terrific, and I agree with ninety nine percent
- 15:38Speaker 7: of what you say. But yesterday you mentioned that you
- 15:42Speaker 7: thought Kassy Hockel did the right thing by putting a
- 15:44Speaker 7: hold on data centers, and you did explain why. But
- 15:49Speaker 7: I just think she's pandering to her left wing of
- 15:51Speaker 7: the party. I don't think it's in the best interests
- 15:54Speaker 7: of New York State. I think the data centers will
- 15:57Speaker 7: go to other states, and I think it's just puts
- 16:00Speaker 7: New York further and further behind.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Well, we'll always have data centers because they're proposing like
- 16:06Speaker 2: hundreds of them all over New York State. It's hard
- 16:09Speaker 2: to believe Kathy Hokle could be right about anything. So
- 16:11Speaker 2: you have a good point there, But the problem is
- 16:14Speaker 2: the concerns about how much water they use electricity.
- 16:16Speaker 7: Well, even President Trump said that they would supply their
- 16:19Speaker 7: own energy and water.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but that none of them that are applying here
- 16:23Speaker 2: in New York have proposed that or shown how they
- 16:25Speaker 2: can do. Once they show how they can do that,
- 16:26Speaker 2: they'll be fine.
- 16:27Speaker 7: Well, wouldn't it be better to compromise with them and say,
- 16:30Speaker 7: these are the requirements before you build your data center.
- 16:33Speaker 7: You do X, Y and Z, and then you proceed.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah. No, she said, she's talking all these people. They'll
- 16:39Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 16:42Speaker 7: It just reminds me of another thing like with not
- 16:45Speaker 7: only Kassy Hockel, but Andrew Croomo not allowing fracking in
- 16:48Speaker 7: New York. And that's why our bills, our electric bills
- 16:52Speaker 7: are so high, and we get the energy from Pennsylvania because.
- 16:57Speaker 2: A huge difference. Fracking produces energy for the town and everybody,
- 17:01Speaker 2: whereas the data center uses it and takes it away
- 17:03Speaker 2: from the town.
- 17:05Speaker 7: Well, supposedly they're supposed to supply their own energy when
- 17:08Speaker 7: they build.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Them, I know, but that turned out to be a
- 17:11Speaker 2: bit of a myth. No, none of them have shown
- 17:12Speaker 2: they can do that yet. They'll become a point where
- 17:14Speaker 2: maybe they can. But she's just waiting for that point. Yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 2: it's not wrong to be a little cautious on these
- 17:20Speaker 2: data centers. But thanks for Colin. Let's go to Mike
- 17:23Speaker 2: and Florida. Mike, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 17:28Speaker 4: It's not only the lufties up in Maine that are protesting,
- 17:31Speaker 4: but even dopey Susan Collins came out with a negative
- 17:34Speaker 4: comment about the incident, which she could have certainly framed
- 17:38Speaker 4: more positively for the other side, you know, like your
- 17:42Speaker 4: call and try to run down ice agents.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Now you remember, that's always been Susan Collins, she's always been.
- 17:47Speaker 2: He's all over the She's not a Trump person, she's
- 17:49Speaker 2: not a Trump supporter, she's not anything like that, but.
- 17:53Speaker 4: She always How was I'm sorry, I've been How was
- 17:55Speaker 4: the dinner with Milecloff and Jimmy Sayala.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Well, we had dinner Monday. Mark Melcoff, who wrote this
- 18:01Speaker 2: great new book called Love Johnny Carson's best book on
- 18:04Speaker 2: Johnny Carson. Tom Cutty, took us to dinner. Jimmy, Jimmy Faylo.
- 18:09Speaker 2: He's become a huge Carson fans student of Johnny Carson.
- 18:13Speaker 2: He loved it. It was great. Actually, Jimmy failed me
- 18:15Speaker 2: be with us tomorrow. We'll talk about.
- 18:17Speaker 4: It and then any and did you learn anything new or.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you why you got to read this book,
- 18:24Speaker 2: Love Johnny Carson. I knew everything. I spent my whole
- 18:27Speaker 2: life studying Johnny Carson. I knew everything there was to know.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I read this book and learned like ten thousand things
- 18:32Speaker 2: I didn't know. This guy, Mark Malcoff, best researcher ever,
- 18:36Speaker 2: has come up with stuff, little details, all sorts of stuff.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I listened to his podcast and I actually I've been
- 18:43Speaker 4: saving the one interview he does with you for a
- 18:47Speaker 4: long Ride because I've listened to a lot of the
- 18:50Speaker 4: other ones. So you know the one that with you.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It started with he does the you can get him
- 18:56Speaker 2: right now, worry you get podcasts called the Carson Podcast.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He's interviewed every star that was ever on Johnny Carson
- 19:02Speaker 2: and everybody they ever worked there, and it's fascinating the
- 19:06Speaker 2: Carson Podcast.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Yes, some really obscure people that he spoke to.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but sometimes the obscure ones, the guy that pulled
- 19:13Speaker 2: the curtain open for him. Sometimes those are the most
- 19:15Speaker 2: fascinating interviews, the stuff.
- 19:17Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely.
- 19:20Speaker 2: All right, well, good stuff, Mike, thanks for calling. But
- 19:22Speaker 2: get the book. Love Johnny Carson. Listen to the Carson Podcast.
- 19:26Speaker 2: You'll love it. Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 19:29Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Thanks, Mark appreciated. Good morning Vincent, Good morning San Diego.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I got my buddy Ray Geiga down here. Came down
- 19:36Speaker 1: for a week from Long Island for my birthday and
- 19:38Speaker 1: Mark and he says, he can't wait. You'd go off
- 19:40Speaker 1: the plane tomorrow and go check out this homeless encampment
- 19:44Speaker 1: twelve blocks. I can't believe something's gone that big.
- 19:46Speaker 8: Now.
- 19:47Speaker 1: My dad's going to be ninety nine in November. The
- 19:49Speaker 1: woman that comes in and spends five days a week
- 19:52Speaker 1: with him, Okay, she's got a.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Mistress or something. No good for him.
- 20:01Speaker 1: When I'm ninety nine, maybe that's the episode. But this
- 20:04Speaker 1: woman has relatives up in Jersey who live next to
- 20:06Speaker 1: data center, and they said the noise at night that
- 20:10Speaker 1: these things produce. They shut them off during the day
- 20:11Speaker 1: so people don't complain, but at night you can't even sleep.
- 20:15Speaker 1: People have to run fans in their bedrooms to cover
- 20:17Speaker 1: the noise. These data centers are so loud. And the
- 20:19Speaker 1: other thing is you can always produce your electricity, but
- 20:22Speaker 1: a data center can't create your own water. They have
- 20:25Speaker 1: to tap into a water supply in the ground or
- 20:27Speaker 1: well or somewhere, so they are going to be using
- 20:30Speaker 1: the locals water.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, they'll figure it all out. They'll figure out how
- 20:32Speaker 2: to do soltheast problem, but it's going to take a while.
- 20:34Speaker 2: That's why I don't mind a year moratorium for New
- 20:37Speaker 2: York State. But thanks for calling. Let's go to a
- 20:40Speaker 2: rich fair Lawn, New Jersey. Rich, How you doing good.
- 20:43Speaker 9: On good morning? And thank you Mark for taking my call.
- 20:47Speaker 9: I want to know why they stupidity of the people
- 20:51Speaker 9: by killing them shelves with these audiblebiles. When you're pulled
- 20:55Speaker 9: over by a cop, why don't you pull on a
- 20:58Speaker 9: side at the road and they will talk to you
- 21:01Speaker 9: and tell you what's going on. No, they want to
- 21:03Speaker 9: be belligerent, and what happens. The one in Maine, he
- 21:07Speaker 9: started driving around in circle.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Well after he was shot. After he was shot, he
- 21:13Speaker 2: was I guess his foot was still on the gas
- 21:14Speaker 2: and it kept going around in circles. But he did
- 21:17Speaker 2: try to run the officers over. If you're illegal out there,
- 21:20Speaker 2: or any sort of criminal, I think you should just
- 21:23Speaker 2: start to realize this tactic of I'll run them over
- 21:26Speaker 2: with my car is not effective. In fact, everybody that's
- 21:30Speaker 2: tried it ends up with bullets in them. So I
- 21:32Speaker 2: would give up on that technique. If the cops are
- 21:35Speaker 2: after you, out of all the things you could do,
- 21:38Speaker 2: trying to run them down with your car, it's not effective.
- 21:41Speaker 2: It doesn't work. Leave that tactic out. Hey, when we
- 21:45Speaker 2: come back, the brilliant Steve Forbes will be with us.
- 21:48Speaker 2: We'll talk to him about We'll talk to him about
- 21:50Speaker 2: that homeless camp of the shanty town. Also, he's the
- 21:53Speaker 2: expert on inflation. We just had the best inflation report.
- 21:56Speaker 2: We'll get to that and more coming up. We'll get
- 21:59Speaker 2: to Howard Stern a little later. All just ahead seven tor.
- 22:04Speaker 8: Mark Zimo Live from the WR life Back Studios.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Well, we bring you the smartest people on earth. Steve Forbes,
- 22:13Speaker 2: the chairman of the Forbes Media and author of some
- 22:16Speaker 2: great books. Geny's latest book, Inflation by Steve Forbes. Go
- 22:19Speaker 2: to Amazon get the book Inflation. Of course, read Forbes
- 22:23Speaker 2: and learn a lot. Steve Forbes, How you doing doing fine?
- 22:27Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 22:29Speaker 8: Waiting for the big soccer matches. Sorry the US didn't
- 22:33Speaker 8: make it, but I, like many, I've become a soccer fan.
- 22:38Speaker 8: Never thought of what happened.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Well, I gotta be honest, I'm waiting for it to
- 22:42Speaker 2: be over Sunday night and everything to go back to normal,
- 22:44Speaker 2: and it's it's.
- 22:48Speaker 8: Oh, by the way, Yankee won the in the All
- 22:53Speaker 8: Star Game last night, So maybe maybe that's a harbinger
- 22:56Speaker 8: that the Yankees will really get back in the groove
- 23:00Speaker 8: and finally win a World Series, which will be essential
- 23:03Speaker 8: for saving civilization. You know, the last time the Yankees
- 23:05Speaker 8: won the World Series was two thousand and nine. Wow,
- 23:09Speaker 8: the world's been in trouble since then.
- 23:11Speaker 2: So how do you become a soccer fan? What am
- 23:13Speaker 2: I missing? It just seems that there's hardly any scoring.
- 23:16Speaker 2: It takes forever to run around in shorts. What am
- 23:20Speaker 2: I missing?
- 23:22Speaker 8: Well, it's like any sports do you either get hooked
- 23:24Speaker 8: into it or not. A lot of people baseball as snoozeball,
- 23:29Speaker 8: a lot of people watching golf. It's like watching grass grow.
- 23:33Speaker 8: So it's just a matter of what it takes. So
- 23:37Speaker 8: who knows what gets us addicted?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Hey, you wrote the book Inflation. It's a great book.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Everybody should get it. But you literally wrote the book
- 23:45Speaker 2: on the subject. This report this week looks like we've
- 23:48Speaker 2: got inflation under control, doesn't it.
- 23:52Speaker 8: It does indeed, and both the DPI, the consumer price
- 23:56Speaker 8: Index and producer price index both going in the right
- 23:59Speaker 8: direct now, And I wish the president would warn this.
- 24:04Speaker 8: As long as they've got the Ranian crisis brewing, you
- 24:07Speaker 8: could see a spike again in oil and gas prices,
- 24:10Speaker 8: but I think we've already seen that. Eventually, that's going
- 24:13Speaker 8: to be resolved one way or the other. But we've
- 24:15Speaker 8: already seen that when things cool down, the prices come down.
- 24:20Speaker 8: And one of the things to keep in mind, and
- 24:21Speaker 8: the rest of that index is other than beef. Food
- 24:24Speaker 8: prices have stabilized and some have come down. We've seen
- 24:27Speaker 8: with eggs, and so it seems to be calming down,
- 24:31Speaker 8: and hopefully the President will be able to and the
- 24:34Speaker 8: Republicans will learn how to make that a positive issue.
- 24:37Speaker 2: In the fall.
- 24:38Speaker 8: And Kevin Walsh, in his testimony yesterday and I'm sure
- 24:42Speaker 8: he's going to do it again today, has made it
- 24:44Speaker 8: clear that the federal reserve certain things they cannot control, like.
- 24:48Speaker 2: The war with Iran, but they're not.
- 24:50Speaker 8: Going to where they're going to look for a stability
- 24:53Speaker 8: of the dollar rather than trying to manipulate the economy.
- 24:57Speaker 8: And boy, even though it sounds nerdy and all that
- 25:00Speaker 8: kind of stuff, that is the President say huge in
- 25:03Speaker 8: the future, you're not going to have an unaccounted body
- 25:07Speaker 8: messing around with the economy.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Hey, you know, the warn Iran maybe drives the price
- 25:13Speaker 2: of oil of five to ten cents, but I don't
- 25:16Speaker 2: think most people are aware two three dollars of that
- 25:18Speaker 2: price is Democrats, regulations and fees and all that stuff. Well,
- 25:23Speaker 2: why can't Republicans make that clear to everybody?
- 25:27Speaker 8: Well, what they should do is say the extreme of
- 25:29Speaker 8: it is California, where you know, the national average for
- 25:33Speaker 8: gas is about what three eighty nine, My neck of
- 25:36Speaker 8: the wood is about four ten four. In California, it's
- 25:40Speaker 8: five and a half six dollars and just get a
- 25:43Speaker 8: little chart showing how much of that is the real
- 25:46Speaker 8: price and how much of it is taxes and regulation,
- 25:49Speaker 8: and say, these socialists want to make it even worse.
- 25:53Speaker 8: And you're absolutely right. Most of the gas so much
- 25:56Speaker 8: of the gas price is taxes and regulation. By the way,
- 26:00Speaker 8: New Jersey once had the lowest, one of the lowest
- 26:02Speaker 8: gas prices in the country, and then several years ago
- 26:06Speaker 8: they changed the formula on the on the gasoline tax,
- 26:09Speaker 8: so it keeps going up and up and up automatically,
- 26:12Speaker 8: so the legislators don't have to do anything, but the
- 26:15Speaker 8: price always goes up at the pump.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yeah. So you know democrats, Well, when tariffs came along,
- 26:21Speaker 2: Democrats screaming about tariffs. Democrats put tariffs on everything. They
- 26:26Speaker 2: call it corporate tax increase. But isn't that the same
- 26:29Speaker 2: as a tariff.
- 26:30Speaker 8: Yes, the tariff is a tax, and the Democrats love
- 26:35Speaker 8: any tax they can get their hands on. And the
- 26:38Speaker 8: tax is not just direct taxes, but also regulation. And
- 26:44Speaker 8: you look at the New York are the dear governor
- 26:47Speaker 8: there has announced that no more artificial no more centers,
- 26:51Speaker 8: data centers. And that's the kind of thing New York
- 26:54Speaker 8: did years ago, Pennsylvania went all in for fracking. New
- 26:58Speaker 8: York have banned it. So pence Sylvania has literally gotten
- 27:01Speaker 8: billions and billions, over ten billion, fifteen billion dollars of
- 27:05Speaker 8: extra revenue from the fracking, and New York just peaks
- 27:11Speaker 8: piling on taxes and any good activity like an AI
- 27:15Speaker 8: center out in the middle of nowhere they banned. So
- 27:19Speaker 8: it's absolutely perverse. And by the way, we were discussing
- 27:22Speaker 8: earlier about the affordability crisis, isn't it a coincidence? Is
- 27:26Speaker 8: it a coincidence that the highest costs in the country
- 27:29Speaker 8: are in states run by Democrats.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Who caused the affordability crisis? New York has been run
- 27:35Speaker 2: by Democrats for twenty years.
- 27:37Speaker 8: Yes it has. It was New York City. And as
- 27:40Speaker 8: we pointed out before, New York and Florida has a
- 27:43Speaker 8: bigger population than New York and yet the budget is
- 27:47Speaker 8: a fraction of that of New York. How does that happen?
- 27:50Speaker 8: As Florida is suddenly a place where people are starving
- 27:53Speaker 8: and nobody gets an education and dying, no thriving place
- 27:58Speaker 8: with a budget that is a more than half of
- 28:00Speaker 8: that of New York.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Hey Steve Forbes by the data centers. There is some
- 28:06Speaker 2: kind of concern about them using up too much electricity
- 28:09Speaker 2: and water in certain areas until they figure that out.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Isn't it good to have a little hold on this
- 28:13Speaker 2: for a while until we figure that out.
- 28:16Speaker 8: Well, you figure it out case by case. Data center
- 28:19Speaker 8: may be work in one area not in another area,
- 28:23Speaker 8: so you do like automobiles. They can pose problems, but
- 28:26Speaker 8: you figure out how to deal with specific problems. And
- 28:31Speaker 8: just as you wouldn't put a nuclear power plant in
- 28:33Speaker 8: Times Square, you pick and choose where you put these things.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Because the whole AI thing is has profound promise. We
- 28:44Speaker 8: all know that they're going to be downsides with anything,
- 28:47Speaker 8: but one of the areas of great promise is vastly
- 28:50Speaker 8: increasing how fast we can get new drugs and new
- 28:54Speaker 8: medical devices to market. Instead of waiting ten or twelve years,
- 28:58Speaker 8: we can start being getting him in a matter of
- 29:00Speaker 8: weeks or months. And my age, I think that's a
- 29:03Speaker 8: splendid thing. I don't want to be told, well, we
- 29:06Speaker 8: can deal with this in fifteen years.
- 29:08Speaker 2: No, we want it now. Hey, there's a homeless camp
- 29:14Speaker 2: that goes for about twelve blocks. Now it's on the
- 29:16Speaker 2: West Side, right near the Intrepid. It's a shanty town
- 29:19Speaker 2: twelve blocks long. It's been in the news for days
- 29:23Speaker 2: and days. Yet the mayor, Mom Donnie, does nothing about it.
- 29:26Speaker 2: What does that tell us about him?
- 29:28Speaker 8: What it tells us he's got the same mindset that
- 29:31Speaker 8: works such miracles in Los Angeles. Yeah, we have a
- 29:34Speaker 8: huge problem, and we know what you do, you don't
- 29:38Speaker 8: let them come into existence. But he's handcuffed the police
- 29:42Speaker 8: on it. And I think the nice thing is we're
- 29:46Speaker 8: a media area and just say here's what socialism brings
- 29:50Speaker 8: you and start shaming him. And another thing we should
- 29:54Speaker 8: start doing is he's the biggest slum lord in the country.
- 29:58Speaker 8: Start going to some of these glorious communal apartments that
- 30:01Speaker 8: he's in charge of, where you have rats running around
- 30:05Speaker 8: and water not running and maintenance problems, and say this
- 30:08Speaker 8: is what he's in charge of. You want more of that?
- 30:12Speaker 8: Vote for those kinds of people.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but we did that in LA and put
- 30:15Speaker 2: the spotlight on all San Francisco. Yet they still keep
- 30:18Speaker 2: electing these crazies.
- 30:20Speaker 8: What do you do about the Well, San Francisco actually
- 30:22Speaker 8: elected a mayor who's a semi adult and he's already
- 30:26Speaker 8: had some positive impact on that benighted area. And in
- 30:31Speaker 8: Los Angeles, I don't like to sound like a conspiracy guy,
- 30:35Speaker 8: but that mayoral election, suddenly tens of thousands of votes
- 30:38Speaker 8: come for this socialist out of nowhere, like voting manna
- 30:42Speaker 8: from heaven for a socialist. Where did that come from?
- 30:45Speaker 8: And we already know the stories of having these homeless
- 30:49Speaker 8: shelters with one hundred and thirty beds and over one
- 30:52Speaker 8: thousand registered voters there. Come on, there's massive fraud there,
- 30:56Speaker 8: and I'm glad finally they're going to get a serious
- 30:58Speaker 8: investigation of that. I think Pratt won second place. He
- 31:02Speaker 8: should have been on the November ballot and an honest election.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Good point. Yeah, San Francisco, you got voters waking up
- 31:10Speaker 2: to what's going on, and we probably did in La
- 31:13Speaker 2: We we just got cheated out of it. But these
- 31:17Speaker 2: Democratic leaders, the Schumers, the Pelosis, why did they surrender
- 31:21Speaker 2: their party to these lunatics. Why didn't they stand up
- 31:23Speaker 2: and fight to keep their party. I think they were intimidated.
- 31:29Speaker 2: And it's amazing, And this is why we must glorify
- 31:34Speaker 2: our independence and constitution, is that we saw what happened
- 31:41Speaker 2: in Russia, in nineteen seventeen. A determined group of fanatics
- 31:45Speaker 2: can take something over if you don't resist it. And
- 31:48Speaker 2: the Democrats didn't resist. When AOC won in twenty eighteen
- 31:52Speaker 2: against the long entrench congressman, the party thought, oh my god,
- 31:57Speaker 2: the activists are going to come after. They're going to primary.
- 32:01Speaker 8: So it's out of fear, not numbers, but out of fear.
- 32:05Speaker 8: And so the disease has grown. By the way, in Colorado,
- 32:09Speaker 8: where you had an upset of a veteran congressperson from
- 32:12Speaker 8: a socialist radical socialist Colorado, the far left there has
- 32:17Speaker 8: got no publicity where Republicans were content to go along
- 32:21Speaker 8: nominating candidates blah blah blah. They were organizing the state,
- 32:25Speaker 8: figure out where the voters were, how to do ballot harvesting.
- 32:29Speaker 8: For several years they worked the machinery the politics of
- 32:32Speaker 8: that state. In turn of state that was mildly read
- 32:35Speaker 8: into a blue stronghold by getting control of the Democrat party.
- 32:40Speaker 8: And so that's why I had that flip in Colorado.
- 32:43Speaker 8: So we on the other side have to do the
- 32:45Speaker 8: same thing, that nitty gritty work of voter by voter,
- 32:49Speaker 8: what these fanatics did, they can be turned back they're
- 32:52Speaker 8: not the majority Americans don't want this kind of stuff.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Most Americans. Good point. Well, Steve Forbes brilliant as always.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Everybody get his latest book, Inflation. You'll love the book.
- 33:02Speaker 2: You'll learn a lot, and also of course read Forbes
- 33:05Speaker 2: and Steve Forbes. Thanks for being with us.
- 33:08Speaker 8: Good to be with you, Mark, Thank you, keep up
- 33:10Speaker 8: the great fight.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Thanks take care Hey. Coming up at noon, Buck Sexton
- 33:14Speaker 2: and Clay Travis will be with us. Then he got
- 33:16Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity,
- 33:19Speaker 2: and every night at nine, nine to midnight, a very
- 33:22Speaker 2: funny show. Jimmy Fayala. He's here on seven to ten.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Wr Back to Mark Simone. Well, very hot day to day,
- 33:32Speaker 2: although not as hot as they had predicted. They were
- 33:34Speaker 2: talking about ninety eight. Ninety nine now looks more like
- 33:37Speaker 2: ninety six. I guess that's better. But just be careful
- 33:42Speaker 2: today out there and all of that. He coming up
- 33:43Speaker 2: in the next hour. We'll get to Howard Stern, who's
- 33:46Speaker 2: now in his final chapter. We'll get to Egen Carroll,
- 33:50Speaker 2: Daylight saving Time and a whole lot more lots to
- 33:53Speaker 2: talk about, and one more hour to go, and we'll
- 33:55Speaker 2: get to it right after the news. Mark Simone here
- 33:58Speaker 2: on seven to ten wo uh
