- 0:01The challenge faced by the aspirant trying to bring about
- 0:05the action of a new basis of awareness and action.
- 0:09Is that continued. Reliance on the habitual means
- 0:12and methods of mine life and body inhibits the free active
- 0:17intervention of this new consciousness.
- 0:22The process of exceeding, the framework of the present,
- 0:25requires a methodology, that shifts, the focus, and Reliance
- 0:29to that new stance, and allows it to determine the motives and
- 0:34timing of the steps along the way. the more we try to control
- 0:40the process, the less opportunity we provide for the
- 0:44higher Force to act, SRI, aurobindo describes, the yogic
- 0:48development, based on leaving the past habits behind and
- 0:53relying. On the Divine to bring about the
- 0:55evolutionary development, in a receptive, mind life body vessel
- 1:01Three aurobindo notes, quote, what I mean by surrender is this
- 1:07inner surrender of the mind. And vital, there is, of course,
- 1:11the outer surrender. Also the giving up of all that
- 1:15is found to conflict with the spirit or need of the sadhna,
- 1:20the offering the obedience to the guidance of the Divine,
- 1:24whether directly, if one is, reached that stage or through
- 1:28the psychic or to the guidance of the guru, True.
- 1:33The core of the inner surrender is trust and confidence in the
- 1:36Divine one takes the attitude, I want the Divine and nothing
- 1:41else. I want to give myself entirely
- 1:44to him and since my soul wants that, it cannot be.
- 1:48But that I shall meet and realize him, I ask nothing.
- 1:52But that and his action in me to bring me to him his actions,
- 1:58secret or open, veiled or manifest.
- 2:02I do not Not insist on my own time and way let him do all in
- 2:07his own time. In way, I Shall Believe in him
- 2:10except his will Aspire steadily for his light and presence.
- 2:14And joy. Go through all difficulties and
- 2:18delays relying on him and never giving up.
- 2:23Let my mind, be quiet and trust him and let him open it to his
- 2:27light. Let my vital be quiet and turn
- 2:31to him alone and let him open it to his calm.
- 2:35Enjoy all for him and myself for him.
- 2:40Whatever happens. I will keep to this aspiration
- 2:43and self-giving and go on in perfect Reliance that it will be
- 2:48done. That is the attitude in which
- 2:51one must grow for certainly, it cannot be made perfect at once,
- 2:56mental and vital movements come across.
- 3:00But if one keeps the will to it, it will grow in the being.
- 3:05The rest is a matter of obedience to the guidance when
- 3:08it makes itself manifest not allowing one's mental and vital
- 3:12movements to interfere. All can be done by the Divine
- 3:18the heart and nature purified, the inner Consciousness
- 3:22awakened, the veils removed, if one gives oneself to the Divine
- 3:27with trust and confidence, and even if one cannot do so fully
- 3:32at once yet, the more one does. So the more the inner help and
- 3:37guidance come and the experience of the Divine grows Within If
- 3:43the questioning mind, becomes less active. and humility and
- 3:48the will to surrender grow This ought to be perfectly possible.
- 3:54No, other strength and capacity are then needed.
