- 0:59Speaker 1: curator and host on the Progress Support. Also we have
- 1:03Speaker 1: another podcast called the Homo a Whole.
- 1:07Speaker 9: Of y'all mostly one of three the Progress Support.
- 1:16Speaker 6: I curate big events all throughout the United States and internationally,
- 1:20Speaker 6: mostly queer events, predominantlyquer events and UH media personality.
- 1:26Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying, my big one that much.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Well, we wanted to have you guys on here because
- 1:32Speaker 2: of course we came on Europe and what.
- 1:33Speaker 1: The hell was you?
- 1:34Speaker 3: What was your say?
- 1:37Speaker 2: You were busy.
- 1:38Speaker 9: Sliding down the door.
- 1:41Speaker 2: But we just want to hang out on here just
- 1:42Speaker 2: to cross promote each other. Absolutely, I feel like, you know,
- 1:45Speaker 2: we see a lot of people do it in music, yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and we start seeing it on different sides of the country,
- 1:50Speaker 2: people doing in podcasts. I said it.
- 1:53Speaker 5: It doesn't happen in media media in Atlanta. Don't funk
- 1:56Speaker 5: with each other. Everybody is always like, yeah, I like
- 2:00Speaker 5: what you're doing, but don't but don't support you. Then
- 2:03Speaker 5: you look at the other sides of the country and
- 2:05Speaker 5: everybody's cross promoting on different platform You know what I'm saying.
- 2:08Speaker 3: We just want to show everybody it's enough to go on.
- 2:11Speaker 2: But you guys have a dope podcast and podcast because
- 2:16Speaker 2: correct me for wrong, I say it right, queer? Why
- 2:20Speaker 2: did you say queer?
- 2:21Speaker 3: So well? Educate be careful now using all these terminologies.
- 2:31Speaker 4: But the proverb support and based off of gay stuff is.
- 2:38Speaker 1: We just happen to be gay, but we really are
- 2:40Speaker 1: in this industry, you know, what I'm saying.
- 2:44Speaker 4: So the program support.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's just like media and we're really in that life,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying.
- 2:55Speaker 4: And then the Homo Show is everything.
- 2:57Speaker 2: That's when you guys unpacked the game. So the Progress
- 3:03Speaker 2: supporters today job hours after dark. I also want to
- 3:14Speaker 2: give you all your flowers. I know b T is
- 3:15Speaker 2: gonna chime in because when you come to Atlanta, you
- 3:18Speaker 2: have to come to the Progress Report period. That's one
- 3:21Speaker 2: of the stops that new popping whoever they have to
- 3:26Speaker 2: come to your platform, which I feel like was earned,
- 3:30Speaker 2: has been putting a lot of work. So I just
- 3:32Speaker 2: wanted to give you guys your flowers on that because
- 3:34Speaker 2: that ship, like what we do, is difficult.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Man.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I love y'all. By the way, really dope set up,
- 3:41Speaker 3: and y'all brought gifts. I brought your water.
- 3:48Speaker 2: When we get upset, we'll have you got a man.
- 3:55Speaker 4: For granted.
- 3:58Speaker 6: Clean great, God bless you.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Now let's talk about the after our podcast though, that's
- 4:06Speaker 2: the one. How did that come about? It's called the
- 4:08Speaker 2: No Homo Show? Yeaheah, okay, who's here? Was that?
- 4:12Speaker 4: So?
- 4:12Speaker 1: The No Homo Show was originally my idea, but I
- 4:15Speaker 1: bought to brick because we throw queer events and it's like, yo.
- 4:19Speaker 4: That's so it's okay.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It's okay to say that queer queer.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Events where is.
- 4:24Speaker 6: Queer person said yeah, yeah, it's respectful.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So it's respectful to absolutely can say queer, Leave off
- 4:33Speaker 1: the dyke, don't say.
- 4:35Speaker 9: Don't say.
- 4:36Speaker 5: People still use that word. That's an old ass terminology.
- 4:41Speaker 5: You know, my uncle will say, yeah, if.
- 4:44Speaker 8: You was a gay girl that looked like for us
- 4:46Speaker 8: two times, or like, if you look like that's the truth.
- 4:52Speaker 9: If you look like many fresh you know, that's you
- 4:54Speaker 9: know what I'm saying.
- 4:55Speaker 6: That's a you can say that for people that are allies,
- 5:02Speaker 6: meaning like y'all support us, y'all part of it. It's
- 5:05Speaker 6: not okay to say those words.
- 5:07Speaker 9: Especially not.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I've never heard that.
- 5:17Speaker 9: Yeah, but yet queer is fine and l g b
- 5:19Speaker 9: T is fine as well.
- 5:21Speaker 5: The only terminology that I've heard I have I've never
- 5:23Speaker 5: heard it. Yeah, scared, I mean that I respect that
- 5:33Speaker 5: for But the offensive terms that you guys talked about,
- 5:36Speaker 5: I've never heard people say that.
- 5:40Speaker 1: That's like people people still you tries to like attack us,
- 5:44Speaker 1: they will be like and they'll be.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Like people with low chromosomes.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But I would say one thing about one thing about
- 5:56Speaker 1: our show is that we we're not like the woke,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you know, like make you afraid to talk about some
- 6:04Speaker 1: real ship.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Even had a siary the kid on and we.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Oh my god got us canceled.
- 6:11Speaker 1: It was so mad at that episode, and we just
- 6:13Speaker 1: like we want to talk for real, like we want
- 6:16Speaker 1: we don't want to be like like, oh my god,
- 6:18Speaker 1: you said that. Now we got questions for even people
- 6:20Speaker 1: within our community, you know what I mean, people.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Think beause you're gay, that you know everything gay. And
- 6:26Speaker 4: we learned so much, you know what I mean. Like
- 6:29Speaker 4: we had a person on.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It was a trans man and he was pregnant by
- 6:32Speaker 1: his boyfriend.
- 6:34Speaker 2: You know what, man as a woman that turned into
- 6:36Speaker 2: a man and they got pregnant.
- 6:38Speaker 4: His boyfriend, his boyfriend. Trust me, we were like, what's
- 6:43Speaker 4: the dynamic.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Biologically he was a woman, so he can get pregnant.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Yeah damn, yeah, yeah I didn't possible.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean biologically you still got the he's a
- 6:58Speaker 2: trans man, that means he was a she, so he
- 7:02Speaker 2: has female parts, gotcha, organs, gotcha?
- 7:08Speaker 4: And yeah.
- 7:09Speaker 1: So then we also like interview the stud that likes
- 7:12Speaker 1: to have sex with men on porn like porn sites
- 7:15Speaker 1: and stuff, and it's just we get into it and
- 7:18Speaker 1: we're we're just as curious as y'all are. So like,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I think our show just we talked some real ship
- 7:25Speaker 1: and it's not like don't be afraid of like you
- 7:27Speaker 1: can't be afraid to say this or ask this or
- 7:30Speaker 1: feel offended about this, you know. So I think that's
- 7:32Speaker 1: what makes our show dope.
- 7:35Speaker 3: That's good. That sounds very entertaining.
- 7:38Speaker 4: And straight people love it too. I think straight people.
- 7:42Speaker 9: They definitely.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Made this calte up right here on the hat. I
- 7:46Speaker 6: prefer coccieie. Even straight people wear this hat. They but
- 7:54Speaker 6: some person did make your point, like, you know, why
- 7:56Speaker 6: does a straight man have to wear it?
- 7:57Speaker 9: That says I prefer couchie.
- 7:59Speaker 3: I mean, I think that's no. I don't think it's weird.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I think people don't.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Have a sense of humor, Like people gotta start having
- 8:05Speaker 5: a sense of human ain't that serious?
- 8:08Speaker 3: And the Internet made everything seem serious because they made.
- 8:11Speaker 5: Regular people haven't feel like they got a platform and
- 8:14Speaker 5: they can say whatever they want to say and be
- 8:16Speaker 5: like this is my opinion, be able to do this,
- 8:19Speaker 5: like man have fun.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Like podcast and radio hosts like are y'all like, nah,
- 8:26Speaker 1: I want to stay true to my opinion and even
- 8:28Speaker 1: if this caused like some chaos.
- 8:30Speaker 5: And like what the difference is, I'm not afraid to
- 8:32Speaker 5: be fired. I think that's I think a lot of
- 8:35Speaker 5: people are afraid to be fired. Rory says stuff on
- 8:39Speaker 5: the radio and I'd be like, hey, bro, we might
- 8:41Speaker 5: get fired.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Like they hired us because of our opinions.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Sometimes we do get on the line and then that's
- 8:49Speaker 2: when our boss comes in and be like hey bro, yeah, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 2: he'll come in and be.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Like hold on.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Like ro said something on the radio last week. He
- 9:00Speaker 5: said something crazy and I was like, said it.
- 9:02Speaker 2: It was a subject, I mean, you know, it was.
- 9:05Speaker 5: It was a certain individual that we saw little girl
- 9:08Speaker 5: already to get no no no no no no no
- 9:10Speaker 5: no no, I'm ready to get sued.
- 9:12Speaker 3: It's a different one.
- 9:13Speaker 5: So it was it was a certain individual that was
- 9:16Speaker 5: at the media house that we were in, and we
- 9:19Speaker 5: didn't like his views on his lifestyle. You know what
- 9:23Speaker 5: I'm saying.
- 9:23Speaker 2: He's a thirty eight year old man and he's dating
- 9:26Speaker 2: like he's married to like a she's like twenty one
- 9:29Speaker 2: or something like.
- 9:29Speaker 3: That, so it's giving groom. But you know when she
- 9:33Speaker 3: was seventeen.
- 9:34Speaker 9: Oh wow, yeah Marcus, Oh yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I can either confirm nor deny. I don't know what
- 9:39Speaker 3: y'all talk about, but it was it was, it was
- 9:42Speaker 3: it was some of the lit to talk about that
- 9:43Speaker 3: on the radio, and I was like, hey, man, we
- 9:45Speaker 3: might get fired, man. Yea, we might get fired man,
- 9:49Speaker 3: But you.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Know what, right, those things that have him breathing like
- 9:56Speaker 1: that are the things that like.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Take a radio state or a podcast to the next level.
- 10:03Speaker 4: And then when you.
- 10:05Speaker 1: See comments, like one thing we learned is like, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's a good post when people are like a like
- 10:11Speaker 1: a clip when you see people writing paragraphs or arguing
- 10:16Speaker 1: or arguing, Hey, I'm not even are you back there?
- 10:19Speaker 1: Y'all are emotionally involved in this post.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And I get emotionally involved in the comments.
- 10:25Speaker 5: He always in the comments. I try I try to
- 10:28Speaker 5: avoid from the comments. Like we did an interview with
- 10:30Speaker 5: Sexy Red in Detroit, and we the interview, we had
- 10:34Speaker 5: a whole setup, right. Sex Red was like, look, I
- 10:36Speaker 5: want you to cut to my dress room and do
- 10:38Speaker 5: an interview.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Cool.
- 10:39Speaker 5: We go to the dress room. She's like, yo, y'all,
- 10:40Speaker 5: sit on the couch, y'all get a little closer. Why
- 10:42Speaker 5: y'all so far apart? Like, okay, so we do everybody comments?
- 10:46Speaker 5: Why y'all so close? I'm like to get closer to
- 10:54Speaker 5: her because we were far away on the couch, you
- 10:57Speaker 5: know what I'm saying.
- 10:57Speaker 3: But you know, people.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Explaining that back story. Should I go into this?
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah you can.
- 11:06Speaker 5: You can never win in the comments, you know you cantimes.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I'm literally rubbing my feet together and.
- 11:17Speaker 5: He'd be really responding back to everybody. I always say, listen.
- 11:20Speaker 5: The comments section is like a love and hip hop episode.
- 11:23Speaker 5: As gonna happen, somebody gonna throw on each other in
- 11:26Speaker 5: security gonna come.
- 11:28Speaker 2: I like giving them a good you know, back and
- 11:31Speaker 2: forth banter and then leaving them on their ass, like
- 11:34Speaker 2: got you together because you don't know what you talk about.
- 11:37Speaker 3: This is a clip.
- 11:38Speaker 2: This is a sensationalized clip that sometimes can be put
- 11:41Speaker 2: together to watch the full episode exactly. The clip is
- 11:45Speaker 2: the hit record, the post, the whole podcast is the
- 11:48Speaker 2: actual album. So that's how I treat it. So I'm
- 11:51Speaker 2: over here like, bro, you know, this is a manipulated
- 11:53Speaker 2: clip for you to talk to me. Thank you for
- 11:55Speaker 2: engaging commenting last days don't like, hey, I'm telling you
- 12:06Speaker 2: try pity. They asked for peace and blessing and that
- 12:09Speaker 2: little smiley the blush like that ship.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Definitely manipulating the conversation.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Some people don't even be knowing we be friends with,
- 12:21Speaker 5: like certain celebrities and stuff. We'd be like, you know,
- 12:25Speaker 5: really cracking jokes on that. Ain't talking to that, like
- 12:30Speaker 5: like this is actually my friend.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Like one time we had cash, so I came off.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I politely guided the conversation somewhere because we were kind
- 12:41Speaker 2: of talking on something too long. It was, oh my god,
- 12:43Speaker 2: just keeps cutting off. I'm over here, like yo, you
- 12:45Speaker 2: guys don't understand exactly. We have some talking points that.
- 12:48Speaker 3: We need to hit.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I need to take it over here.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Help because some.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Guests are just some guests will just narrate the whole interview,
- 12:58Speaker 5: and you like, Sten Man, we want people to actually
- 13:01Speaker 5: watch this, so let me ask questions.
- 13:03Speaker 3: So we need some clips out of this.
- 13:07Speaker 6: He was like, let me tell you one thing and
- 13:09Speaker 6: actually after that and then yeah, we like like damn,
- 13:13Speaker 6: we didn't have we have we.
- 13:14Speaker 10: Don't have so many guests where we were like Roddy
- 13:17Speaker 10: literally like all right, I'm about to cut this. No,
- 13:20Speaker 10: sometimes you got to because they just going because we're like,
- 13:22Speaker 10: we gotta get some clips out of nobody's gonna watch
- 13:25Speaker 10: it like this.
- 13:29Speaker 2: That's the thing. That's the thing.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Some of them clips clip rod be like.
- 13:43Speaker 2: So that right there.
- 13:44Speaker 3: I think I said you did.
- 13:46Speaker 2: But you know you have to have a key word
- 13:49Speaker 2: with our producer. Right, I'm not gonna say it. You
- 13:52Speaker 2: have to change it up, t bro. No, we had
- 13:56Speaker 2: so many people rushing us, bro.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Or like it was a blessing. Though it's it's a blessing.
- 14:02Speaker 2: But we have some keywords that will throw out there.
- 14:04Speaker 2: That's what that's letting everybody, everybody that's on staff though,
- 14:07Speaker 2: Hey bro, we have some key words. We'll say something
- 14:12Speaker 2: real slick and you'll you will never catch it.
- 14:15Speaker 5: I could have just did it just now right, we
- 14:24Speaker 5: have we have a delegated time for you. For you guys,
- 14:28Speaker 5: the BT Awards is like the Wild Wild West. It's
- 14:30Speaker 5: like this p R in this label. It's like, hey,
- 14:33Speaker 5: I got my artists.
- 14:34Speaker 2: You ever seen an animal planet or whatever and you
- 14:37Speaker 2: see a dead animal hyenas and they're just going, yeah,
- 14:43Speaker 2: the dead animal was us. And then it was crazy, like, hey,
- 14:47Speaker 2: can you get Hey, we even got one of our
- 14:49Speaker 2: big dogs. He was like, for you right now?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah, their preparation because I always think about it for
- 14:57Speaker 1: like the Red carpet, for people to you might not know.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You know, obviously there's so many people that we do,
- 15:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean? But is it ever like
- 15:05Speaker 1: somebody that you don't know that's coming up.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I got burnt a few times, so I do try to.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I do try to somewhat prep. I'm usually so tapped
- 15:14Speaker 2: into where I don't have to prep. I'll be doing
- 15:17Speaker 2: it for so long. But yeah, it's been some a
- 15:21Speaker 2: man the Seals, she walked off on my ass. Man,
- 15:24Speaker 2: you ain't know she was, No, I did, but she
- 15:27Speaker 2: walked I was doing the red carbet for the BT
- 15:30Speaker 2: Social Awards, and I was just doing it where I
- 15:33Speaker 2: didn't say the name. I wanted them to introduce myself
- 15:35Speaker 2: because the camera, I'm in the camera. So I was like, hey,
- 15:39Speaker 2: it's for a ball alert, please introduce yourself. She was like,
- 15:44Speaker 2: you don't know my name. I wanted you to introduce.
- 15:52Speaker 2: The clip is gonna say hey man, starting I'm not
- 15:57Speaker 2: in the clip.
- 15:58Speaker 4: So she walked up.
- 16:02Speaker 2: You know what I would have prepped. I would have
- 16:04Speaker 2: I would have had I would have prepped a little
- 16:06Speaker 2: bit more. I would have known two for her not
- 16:10Speaker 2: do that point.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Well, First, first of all, it's a lot of people
- 16:14Speaker 5: don't know who she is. And second of all, we live,
- 16:17Speaker 5: we live, It's been real. We live, and we live
- 16:21Speaker 5: in a world where the internet is so magnified that
- 16:25Speaker 5: somebody could be so lit on the Internet and go
- 16:28Speaker 5: outside and nobody know who they are.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Is that happens every Wednesday at my R and B party.
- 16:34Speaker 5: It was somebody that was really popping on the internet
- 16:38Speaker 5: and my homegirls like yo, such and such as outside
- 16:40Speaker 5: he can't get in?
- 16:41Speaker 3: I said, who? I said?
- 16:42Speaker 5: I said, Okay, I know who that is. He'd have
- 16:45Speaker 5: got into it with security outside. He's real big on TikTok.
- 16:48Speaker 5: And I'm like, bro, why you didn't call somebody like
- 16:52Speaker 5: you can't expect everybody to know who you are.
- 16:55Speaker 3: I know who you are. Security is a fifty some
- 16:57Speaker 3: year old man with a wife and kids.
- 16:59Speaker 5: He damn sure and that TikTok to know who So
- 17:01Speaker 5: you have to have that same courteous with everybody unless
- 17:05Speaker 5: you Snoop Dogg Beyonce Drake, I ain't expecting everybody.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Know who you are got to be.
- 17:12Speaker 4: I think you just can't assume mar And I'm not
- 17:15Speaker 4: gonna lie.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Like, we get so many artists that reach out that
- 17:18Speaker 1: she even sends to the chat like y'all know this person,
- 17:21Speaker 1: and so many.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Times I'm like, no, but they got five hundred thousand
- 17:25Speaker 4: followers somebody.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's so many artists and some cat you know what
- 17:29Speaker 1: I mean. You know what I mean, but like it's like, yo,
- 17:32Speaker 1: this is overwhelming. So that's why I'm asking because like obviously,
- 17:35Speaker 1: especially be T, there's so many people that we know,
- 17:37Speaker 1: but it's like, bro, there can be somebody with five
- 17:40Speaker 1: hundred thousand followers that's want to come up and we
- 17:43Speaker 1: just didn't get to followers.
- 17:45Speaker 3: It might be somewhere else then America on the come up.
- 17:53Speaker 9: When we interviewed her, she.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Was at the Hollywood when we was at BT Awards.
- 17:58Speaker 5: Yeah this year, this was acting Hollywood, man. I don't
- 18:01Speaker 5: like that, but but that's why I told Fra that's
- 18:03Speaker 5: why I'm supporting new artists.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I don't care. I don't care. You don't care about
- 18:09Speaker 3: new artists anymore.
- 18:15Speaker 5: You couldn't He couldn't. No, it wasn't it wasn't that right.
- 18:20Speaker 5: It's it's the simple fact of, like somebody like Coco Jones.
- 18:23Speaker 5: I love Coco Jones. We interviewed her three times before
- 18:26Speaker 5: she blew up, and I'll never forget, I told Ferrari.
- 18:28Speaker 3: I said, man, whoever is moving her around, she's gonna
- 18:33Speaker 3: blow up.
- 18:34Speaker 5: She one song away, and I said, only because I
- 18:36Speaker 5: see her work ethic, like I'm talking about every time
- 18:39Speaker 5: she would come in town, she would be like, yo,
- 18:41Speaker 5: I gotta do y'all show.
- 18:42Speaker 3: And she ended up blowing up.
- 18:43Speaker 5: And we seen her at the BT Awards, and you
- 18:46Speaker 5: know she's you know, she spoke and sell what's up.
- 18:49Speaker 5: It's just a simple fact of It's like if people
- 18:52Speaker 5: are a part of your success, like you know, you
- 18:54Speaker 5: meet an artist for the first time, they hungry.
- 18:56Speaker 3: They'll do anything to.
- 18:57Speaker 5: Get on your show, anything, whatever you need to pull
- 19:01Speaker 5: up wherever you at, come support you, whatever.
- 19:03Speaker 3: As soon as they get that record number.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Change following on Instagram streaming, I don't even want to
- 19:12Speaker 5: do y'all show. I'm only about to go do passing
- 19:14Speaker 5: that show.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 19:16Speaker 5: It's just I just I've just seen it happen so
- 19:18Speaker 5: many times that it's really like, I don't even care
- 19:21Speaker 5: no more to support new artists.
- 19:23Speaker 3: It was a new artist, cool, whatever, because you're gonna
- 19:25Speaker 3: blow up, and then next year we ain't gonna even
- 19:28Speaker 3: be able to talk to you.
- 19:30Speaker 5: When we was supporting you before you blew up and
- 19:33Speaker 5: you were hungry and you were eager to be on
- 19:36Speaker 5: our show. But then people blow up and they get
- 19:38Speaker 5: all these new people around, and I love we love
- 19:43Speaker 5: supporting new artists. It ain't even the support part.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I just love new music because there's a there's an
- 19:50Speaker 2: authenticity about it that you can't deny, Like when you
- 19:53Speaker 2: start making a whole bunch of money, the hunger is
- 19:55Speaker 2: not there no more.
- 19:57Speaker 7: You' you're the only one that still got the sound.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Sorry, correct me if I'm wrong. A lot of the
- 20:03Speaker 2: artists that's like major now, their first two albums always
- 20:08Speaker 2: is their best work because they're the hungriest. I listened
- 20:11Speaker 2: to a lot of artists who are popping now. I
- 20:13Speaker 2: listen to still. I still listen to some of their
- 20:16Speaker 2: first projects and albums and mistakes because that's the part
- 20:20Speaker 2: of the music that I like the most, because I
- 20:22Speaker 2: can tell that they're starving and they're hungry and they
- 20:25Speaker 2: want it so bad, so like to to kind of
- 20:28Speaker 2: say what you are to kind of piggyback of what
- 20:30Speaker 2: you're saying. I love that process, but now I'm learning
- 20:35Speaker 2: I need to be a part of the process. For example,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Billy gain Cushington, I got a record with him. Hell,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I would have known all this. I would have records
- 20:42Speaker 2: with the Baby, Little Baby because I was tapped in
- 20:46Speaker 2: so early to them. That's part of who my resume is.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I just didn't know that, Oh I can get a
- 20:52Speaker 2: studio with them, and I can create a record too.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Had I would have known this, oh man, I would
- 20:55Speaker 2: have had so many records. You know what I'm saying
- 20:57Speaker 2: because I would like to. I like to be a
- 20:58Speaker 2: part of the process, but it's in a background type
- 21:02Speaker 2: of role. Yeah, And I didn't know I could. I
- 21:04Speaker 2: could have inserted myself to where it was a monetary
- 21:07Speaker 2: value in it for me and it's not on some
- 21:10Speaker 2: like oh I'm charging you for this, No, I'm organically, Hey,
- 21:13Speaker 2: let me get a song. I won't put out a record.
- 21:15Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's everything that I look at, Like with
- 21:17Speaker 5: the entertainment business, especially dealing with artists, it is just transactional, like.
- 21:22Speaker 3: We help them.
- 21:22Speaker 5: They don't help us when you knew us, interviewing you
- 21:26Speaker 5: is not helping us whatsoever. But what happens is when
- 21:31Speaker 5: they you know, when they get that record or you know,
- 21:33Speaker 5: they get that notoriety. Now when it's time to return
- 21:36Speaker 5: the favorite, they don't want to help you. They're not
- 21:38Speaker 5: coming back doing your show. When they get lit, they don't.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Well yes, yes or no. For example, me and Fly
- 21:45Speaker 2: Out of DC literally got suspended for a week and
- 21:47Speaker 2: a half for playing little Baby. I took all the
- 21:52Speaker 2: music out his song for thirty five minutes. That didn't
- 21:57Speaker 2: help us because he was so new at the My
- 22:00Speaker 2: bosses like, y'all, I ain't gonna allow it was my
- 22:08Speaker 2: dog record and the radio it's programming, so it's literally
- 22:12Speaker 2: songs that's already programmed. I took all that ship out,
- 22:16Speaker 2: and I was like, yo, I'm standing on this. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 2: you had my back, but I heard Great Street did
- 22:21Speaker 2: do it to Gez. Yeah you know what I'm saying.
- 22:23Speaker 2: And I just kept saying, I want to create some
- 22:25Speaker 2: type of history there, you know what I'm saying. That's
- 22:29Speaker 2: why I was kind of I was a little salty
- 22:30Speaker 2: when I didn't make his documentary because I was like
- 22:34Speaker 2: I was a part of that.
- 22:35Speaker 4: That's real.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But I talked to P. I did talk to P
- 22:38Speaker 2: and they are doing another documentary and.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Gonna be they recognize y'all or give y'all Like.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Well, baby, the little baby always give me my flowers
- 22:48Speaker 2: whenever I seen him.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Now now you've seen it. You've seen a difference when
- 22:51Speaker 5: when we ran into a little baby in l A
- 22:53Speaker 5: and then we ran into Shorty, it's all different. Yeah,
- 22:57Speaker 5: level of respect. Now you know what I'm saying when
- 22:59Speaker 5: you this business because.
- 23:00Speaker 2: It's my job on the line for a little baby.
- 23:03Speaker 2: But he knew that as well. He also knew that
- 23:08Speaker 2: I didn't need a check.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I don't do it.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I don't want to.
- 23:14Speaker 1: I do want my song, though, I want to ask
- 23:17Speaker 1: for Like when you say you're putting a song, when
- 23:20Speaker 1: you do a song, is it you like orchestrating it,
- 23:23Speaker 1: like getting the producer?
- 23:25Speaker 2: Okay, so sometimes it's my producer, and sometimes I'll do
- 23:28Speaker 2: the beat with a producer, Okay, the whole thing.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Okay, So you're you're in there like giving kind of
- 23:35Speaker 4: guidance or you're just record.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's my song. So I'm basically saying I'm on
- 23:40Speaker 2: my DJ cally An R. And so, for example, the
- 23:45Speaker 2: record that I Have a Better Gang Cush, I'm the
- 23:47Speaker 2: one that's literally got the DJ's playing and the one
- 23:50Speaker 2: that's got all the radio. You know, it's a weird
- 23:53Speaker 2: thing that I'm on the radio station and other radio
- 23:55Speaker 2: stations are playing it. Yeah, that that lets it that
- 23:58Speaker 2: lets it be known there is sometimes unity going on
- 24:01Speaker 2: as well. You can't pay for that that type of support.
- 24:06Speaker 2: That's okay, we rock with you. I like what you're doing.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna support you.
- 24:11Speaker 1: And also I wanted to ask y'all, like when you
- 24:14Speaker 1: were talking about like new artists, I'm just asking that
- 24:21Speaker 1: because we all do podcasts and stuff and like talking
- 24:24Speaker 1: about support and stuff like do you guys take offense
- 24:28Speaker 1: when something like you're helping somebody and they don't accept
- 24:31Speaker 1: your clips or anything like when you're posting.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I could be going.
- 24:40Speaker 1: No.
- 24:41Speaker 2: What I don't like though, is more so like you know,
- 24:44Speaker 2: someone with bad energy in the interview, because then we'll
- 24:47Speaker 2: just wrap it up. We had remember we had that one.
- 24:50Speaker 3: We had one.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It was a couple of years back. The fan base.
- 24:53Speaker 2: She's from Chicago.
- 24:59Speaker 5: It was.
- 25:01Speaker 3: That interview.
- 25:05Speaker 2: She wasn't yeah, but she wasn't in a good mood
- 25:08Speaker 2: that day.
- 25:12Speaker 3: But look, I didn't even know. I didn't know. He
- 25:14Speaker 3: didn't know nothing about that. She came in.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I watch it.
- 25:21Speaker 6: You know something we had somebody was hungry, so at
- 25:25Speaker 6: least she had some real ship going on. They just
- 25:27Speaker 6: wanted Chick fil A and they had an attitude. They
- 25:29Speaker 6: didn't want to talk nothing.
- 25:30Speaker 3: That's crazy. That the time for this. Look, one thing
- 25:33Speaker 3: that I would do and religion. If I'm hungry, bro,
- 25:35Speaker 3: I will walk in here with with some food eating.
- 25:38Speaker 2: He'll be late because because.
- 25:42Speaker 5: This is this is important, like like protecting our energy.
- 25:45Speaker 5: I would be late for an interview just so I
- 25:47Speaker 5: can eat if I have to. You know what I'm saying.
- 25:50Speaker 2: One time he was so hungry. I did the interview
- 25:52Speaker 2: without the name.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Because you remember on the radio to.
- 25:58Speaker 5: No, I would listen, listen what did I tell you
- 26:03Speaker 5: on y'all show. I want people to understand my energy.
- 26:08Speaker 5: It's positive energy. I don't never want people to meet
- 26:11Speaker 5: me and like, man, I met that dude b too,
- 26:12Speaker 5: like he was an asshole, like he was blah blah blah.
- 26:16Speaker 3: One.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I think one of the reasons why y'all show is
- 26:18Speaker 2: so fared and our show is so far because I
- 26:20Speaker 2: could tell y'all real friends. I talked to him whether
- 26:24Speaker 2: he was doing this or being on the radio or not.
- 26:26Speaker 2: He's my real friend, you know what I'm saying. He's
- 26:28Speaker 2: like my real little bro. He's in my wedding. I
- 26:33Speaker 2: literally talked to him all the time they were fly
- 26:35Speaker 2: out DC though. He's that's why him and I that
- 26:38Speaker 2: was my real friend. Yeah, and we all we got
- 26:40Speaker 2: a group chat and everything. So like I like being
- 26:43Speaker 2: and then with solo when me and show, that's my
- 26:45Speaker 2: that's the only woman that I'm super cool with. I'm
- 26:49Speaker 2: so cool with her, like her and my wife type.
- 26:51Speaker 2: That's that's type ship.
- 26:53Speaker 1: You know.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Once I got married, I ain't really talk to know
- 26:57Speaker 2: girls on a friendship level like that, only super I
- 27:00Speaker 2: like that.
- 27:01Speaker 4: When I first moved to Atlanta ten years ago. No,
- 27:06Speaker 4: that's crazy somebody. Yeah, they were like, are you interested
- 27:11Speaker 4: in doing like a radio fair hood affairs? I met
- 27:16Speaker 4: them at listen I met them at No I listened.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I met them at a listening advance and they yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 1: introduced me a lot lot and I DJ for her
- 27:32Speaker 1: for the progress support and then ever since we've been
- 27:34Speaker 1: locked in so it what was dope with all of us.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I think that our friendship grew with our business mindset.
- 27:41Speaker 1: It wasn't just like us being friends and then we
- 27:43Speaker 1: try to do business together, like it all grew together.
- 27:46Speaker 1: So it was a little different, but definitely dope. Fact
- 27:49Speaker 1: and like ten years plus, yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Yeah, niggas getting old. Damn what I a kid and
- 28:00Speaker 3: my mom to be like, yeah, this is my friend
- 28:03Speaker 3: ten years When we say stuff like that, God.
- 28:08Speaker 4: You know, it's interesting.
- 28:09Speaker 7: For one, I do feel like it's a blessing to age.
- 28:11Speaker 3: So it's definitely comfortable with age.
- 28:14Speaker 8: Like when people always, you know, felt weird about it,
- 28:16Speaker 8: I never felt weird about it. So that's number one, Like,
- 28:18Speaker 8: I'm hello, comfortable age, and I think it's a.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Blessing only get better. I love it.
- 28:22Speaker 7: But yeah, just in terms of the other part.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Though, well, the only thing the only thing sucks about
- 28:31Speaker 3: aging is the bills. Shrink me told me. I want
- 28:37Speaker 3: to grow up and get out of the house.
- 28:39Speaker 8: And how I know people get old though, It's like
- 28:42Speaker 8: when I see their kids, it's like, you know, especially
- 28:44Speaker 8: with these artists that we've been knowing for years, it's
- 28:47Speaker 8: like certain people will be on my line like yeah,
- 28:49Speaker 8: my son rapping. Now I'm like, your so does your
- 28:51Speaker 8: son and you know they'll say the age I know.
- 28:55Speaker 2: We ag this, how I know I'm getting old? Yeah,
- 28:57Speaker 2: rock O and Monica, kids.
- 28:59Speaker 4: You, the kids in the club, the kids.
- 29:05Speaker 2: When we was we was doing something for Nick Cannon
- 29:07Speaker 2: and they was all backstage and I'm saying, bro, you
- 29:11Speaker 2: was and that makes you.
- 29:13Speaker 4: I watched you grow up when I saw the old head.
- 29:17Speaker 3: How many people when you always kids were saying the
- 29:20Speaker 3: same thing.
- 29:22Speaker 9: I thought that was weird, like change the pampers, allry, relax, not.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Even my blood.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Let me ask you all the question funny and almost
- 29:34Speaker 2: close some time. But look, that's not strawberry, strawberry. What's
- 29:42Speaker 2: like the what's the end goal for the problem report? Like,
- 29:45Speaker 2: if you guys can see yourselves in the next five years,
- 29:49Speaker 2: what does that look like?
- 29:51Speaker 7: Man, you know it's crazy.
- 29:52Speaker 8: That question always is tricky, the five ten year question,
- 29:55Speaker 8: because it's like, man, you know, it's just tricky because
- 29:58Speaker 8: I remember somebody asked me that before and COVID happened,
- 30:00Speaker 8: and it's like, bro, just why I don't like answer
- 30:02Speaker 8: that question. But what I will say, I just pray
- 30:06Speaker 8: that we all continue to progress and grow and do
- 30:10Speaker 8: what we love to do. You know what I'm saying,
- 30:12Speaker 8: It's a blessing to wake up every day and you
- 30:15Speaker 8: don't make stuff happen for yourself. Like it's truly a
- 30:18Speaker 8: blessing that I personally, I know, I don't take for granted.
- 30:20Speaker 8: And it's dope just seeing them progress as well, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 8: doing what they do. So I just pray the guy
- 30:25Speaker 8: that we able to still do what we do, make
- 30:27Speaker 8: great connections, partnerships and you know, just remain just do
- 30:30Speaker 8: what we love.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Man. I like that, Yeah, I say like how they say,
- 30:35Speaker 1: like you don't know, God's plan is way bigger. But
- 30:38Speaker 1: I would love for us to be like on the
- 30:41Speaker 1: FM radio because I think you can tell our relationship.
- 30:47Speaker 4: We really are into music and know that.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And I don't think for as gay as Atlanta is,
- 30:52Speaker 1: that there's a lot of queer representation on the radio,
- 30:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 31:01Speaker 3: It probably you know what I'm saying. I just walked outside.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Like the brass come on.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It's not like, yeah, but there should be some more
- 31:16Speaker 1: queer representation and I think, yeah, I think the radio
- 31:21Speaker 1: is missing that, especially in Atlanta. And don't got to
- 31:23Speaker 1: be like strictly gay shop, but just like we could
- 31:27Speaker 1: be the ones to make that.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Joke because we do have a whole prime festival. Because
- 31:31Speaker 2: as a radio station, they'll be like, hey, for do
- 31:33Speaker 2: you want to do it? I'll be like, I don't mind.
- 31:38Speaker 2: It's like how you have representation crazy? You know what
- 31:42Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 31:43Speaker 3: That's that's that's I like what you said, like real,
- 31:46Speaker 3: like how you that all the time.
- 31:47Speaker 5: But that's one thing that I don't understand is like
- 31:50Speaker 5: how they try to put like straight men in situations
- 31:53Speaker 5: that it's like this ain't for you.
- 31:55Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Like we hadn't this would
- 31:58Speaker 2: be my second year I did.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I had to go. It's okay to say you did,
- 32:06Speaker 3: but I had to.
- 32:06Speaker 2: We had to broad yeah one one saving before we go,
- 32:17Speaker 2: did you have something?
- 32:18Speaker 6: Just to continue to make it a career for us,
- 32:22Speaker 6: because I feel like when we first started it was
- 32:24Speaker 6: more like a passion project. But just to really it
- 32:27Speaker 6: be our nine to five in the sense to where
- 32:29Speaker 6: it's not like we got to decide whether we want
- 32:31Speaker 6: to do this or something else, like we already not.
- 32:33Speaker 6: This is bringing us in revenue as well, especially with
- 32:36Speaker 6: the amount of time that we put into it, and
- 32:38Speaker 6: then the Red carpets as well.
- 32:39Speaker 9: I feel like when people.
- 32:40Speaker 6: Come to Atlanta like and have Atlanta events, I feel
- 32:43Speaker 6: like we don't get invited out a lot to anything,
- 32:45Speaker 6: and it's like we've been here, hold it down for
- 32:48Speaker 6: over ten years. So it's just like we have to
- 32:51Speaker 6: do we have to do more on our part too.
- 32:56Speaker 5: And can y'all agree with me too that y'all gotta
- 32:58Speaker 5: start calling people out this as I tell somebody like
- 33:03Speaker 5: it'd be certain opportunities and I'll be like, bro, how
- 33:06Speaker 5: you and tell me about this? If you rock with
- 33:08Speaker 5: me and you say you love what I do, and
- 33:10Speaker 5: then opportunities present itself and my name don't come up
- 33:15Speaker 5: and it's okay, it's okay, Like we gotta stop being
- 33:18Speaker 5: fake in this industry because I feel like we're in
- 33:20Speaker 5: the industry just full of actors, yes, and we ain't
- 33:23Speaker 5: got that one movie w.
- 33:27Speaker 9: I think because everybody's afraid to like people be gatekeeping.
- 33:30Speaker 6: So it's like if you do speak up and keep
- 33:32Speaker 6: it real, then you might be afraid to do that
- 33:33Speaker 6: because now you're gonna get cut off and they're not
- 33:35Speaker 6: gonna call you, or you're gonna look you're going guess what.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Guess what? Now we have what's called the internet. Jesus,
- 33:41Speaker 3: Jesus again.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I feel like this this helps us collectively create leverage.
- 33:47Speaker 9: Yes, we gotta do it ourselves.
- 33:49Speaker 6: That's one thing we big on is like if they're
- 33:51Speaker 6: not gonna call us, we're gonna create our own stuff.
- 33:53Speaker 2: You got to it. Also, it also helps for more people.
- 33:56Speaker 2: That's why, because they you know, now I'm an a
- 33:58Speaker 2: p d at come on, yes, sir. It also helps
- 34:02Speaker 2: for more people to get in those roles that can
- 34:06Speaker 2: now open up the eyes of the old the old
- 34:09Speaker 2: way way no more. We have a mental health check
- 34:15Speaker 2: in brought to you by the Faith Project.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Keisha.
- 34:18Speaker 2: What up? What Keisha? I would love for you guys
- 34:22Speaker 2: to tell us what do you do to strengthen your
- 34:24Speaker 2: mental health?
- 34:26Speaker 8: Great question, I'll start.
- 34:28Speaker 9: I guess.
- 34:30Speaker 8: I feel like I'm just proud of myself just for
- 34:33Speaker 8: the growth and progress that I made just in the
- 34:35Speaker 8: area alone. I definitely know for me personally, I prioritize
- 34:40Speaker 8: just mental health and just making sure I'm good and
- 34:44Speaker 8: and that's as simple as just just simplicity, Like living
- 34:46Speaker 8: a simple life is just my biggest thing that has
- 34:50Speaker 8: worked for me, not trying to force nothing and just
- 34:55Speaker 8: being as simple as possible and just being grateful for
- 34:58Speaker 8: the minute things like just just grateful.
- 35:03Speaker 7: That I got all my fingers grateful.
- 35:06Speaker 9: That's a real.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Vision.
- 35:09Speaker 7: By the way, I like niggas too, Yes, gay damn,
- 35:21Speaker 7: but I'm saying.
- 35:23Speaker 9: If I don't want my niggas to be hitting me up, Like,
- 35:25Speaker 9: wait a minute.
- 35:26Speaker 8: I still like y'all too, but yeah, just really just
- 35:30Speaker 8: living a simple life and being grateful for the new
- 35:33Speaker 8: things is just how I can take care of my
- 35:35Speaker 8: mental health and and not trying to force nothing.
- 35:38Speaker 9: And that's what I try to do every day.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Okay.
- 35:41Speaker 4: Me, I would say this year and this.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so I've been sober twenty five, thank you, thank you.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Yeah, starting to work out.
- 35:55Speaker 1: And stuff, and I think taking like the first two
- 35:58Speaker 1: hours in the day to focus on things for me,
- 36:01Speaker 1: and then it helps me do stuff for everybody else.
- 36:03Speaker 4: But once I do stuff for everybody else before me,
- 36:06Speaker 4: then I always feel incomplete, you know what I'm saying.
- 36:09Speaker 4: So I would say that has helped.
- 36:11Speaker 1: And just to throw it out there, I just kicked
- 36:14Speaker 1: off a sober spin challenge for DJs for the month
- 36:18Speaker 1: of July to go one month without drinking just because themas.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Ain't gonna do it.
- 36:25Speaker 4: Yeah, we got some people.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you get free everything.
- 36:30Speaker 1: It is hard, No, it is hard, and we do
- 36:34Speaker 1: get free everything. But you know what we don't get
- 36:36Speaker 1: is free health care. And a lot of DJs have
- 36:39Speaker 1: been falling out left and right, forty fifty years old,
- 36:42Speaker 1: and you see it, go fund me up, you know
- 36:44Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So where's those people that was giving
- 36:47Speaker 1: you those shots? They ain't even putting it nothing in
- 36:50Speaker 1: You're go fund me. So I think that's support because
- 36:52Speaker 1: I literally seen and DJ's be looking bad, be out
- 36:56Speaker 1: of shape, like a motherfucker, looking fat and everything. I'm
- 36:59Speaker 1: sorry to say it, but for real, like I'll be
- 37:00Speaker 1: looking at DJ, like you skinny, but your stomach is fat.
- 37:03Speaker 4: That look crazy, you know what I'm saying, a lot
- 37:05Speaker 4: of that has to do with.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Us direct, and that's the way too.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Really, it's deeper than the free shit, because a lot
- 37:15Speaker 1: of us don't got healthcare, you know what I mean,
- 37:17Speaker 1: And like, at least we can prevent some shit.
- 37:20Speaker 3: You know that's only as I got my job.
- 37:24Speaker 4: My health is hilarious, I tell all that.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Mental health.
- 37:30Speaker 6: So I have daily routines so I really get big
- 37:33Speaker 6: on mental health. Maybe like twenty sixteen, I was a
- 37:35Speaker 6: part of this network marketing group. I don't know if
- 37:39Speaker 6: y'all ever been in anything like that, but I have, okay.
- 37:41Speaker 6: So they really are big on building your subconscious and
- 37:44Speaker 6: just learning how to present yourself so that you can
- 37:45Speaker 6: attract the right energy and all that kind of stuff.
- 37:47Speaker 6: So I have daily routines where I wake up at
- 37:49Speaker 6: six am every day, I read my goal book, I
- 37:52Speaker 6: read my.
- 37:52Speaker 9: Informations, I pray, I go to the gym. All this
- 37:56Speaker 9: is without being.
- 37:56Speaker 6: On my phone completely disconnected from like six to like
- 37:59Speaker 6: ten thirds. So I just make sure I do that
- 38:01Speaker 6: every single day, and that really helps me just build
- 38:04Speaker 6: my subconscious and it gets my mood right to where
- 38:07Speaker 6: I can deal with almost every deal with everything that's
- 38:10Speaker 6: going on because a lot of the times, most of
- 38:12Speaker 6: the stuff we can't control it, but we can control
- 38:14Speaker 6: how we react to it.
- 38:15Speaker 9: But if you're not.
- 38:16Speaker 6: Mentally stable to know how to deal with things, then
- 38:18Speaker 6: you'll start crashing out. So you got to make sure
- 38:20Speaker 6: that you're taking the time to build your mental health
- 38:22Speaker 6: and really set healthy boundaries for yourself to where you're
- 38:25Speaker 6: not putting yourself in a position where you're crashing out
- 38:28Speaker 6: because life is crazy, life is hard.
- 38:29Speaker 9: You don't know what's going to happen.
- 38:30Speaker 6: You might have a death in the family, you might
- 38:32Speaker 6: have a friend that pass away, you might lose your job,
- 38:34Speaker 6: you might whatever, you can't call it. But if you're
- 38:37Speaker 6: mentally built for all the things that are going to
- 38:39Speaker 6: come your way, which are inevitable, then you'll be able
- 38:41Speaker 6: to deal with it. So I just think it's really
- 38:43Speaker 6: big to create a daily routine that you set yourself
- 38:46Speaker 6: for and do it every single day. Repetition is key,
- 38:49Speaker 6: and it don't feel like it's getting old or you're
- 38:51Speaker 6: getting bored with it. Like the more I read my goalbook.
- 38:54Speaker 6: It makes me feel good when I knock things off
- 38:56Speaker 6: my goalbook. And I also did stop drinking this year
- 38:58Speaker 6: as well too, So I'm going one year so over
- 39:00Speaker 6: from a which is a big thing for me because I.
- 39:03Speaker 9: Love my repisode. Oh you feel me. I'm a promoter,
- 39:05Speaker 9: Like you said, we get everything for free.
- 39:07Speaker 6: So but it's been easier. I'm not gonna say easy.
- 39:09Speaker 6: It's been easier the longer it's been going through. So
- 39:12Speaker 6: I think people should just challenge themselves and step aside
- 39:14Speaker 6: their conference zone and let go of to the things
- 39:17Speaker 6: that you know are not really contributing to you on
- 39:19Speaker 6: a health aspect, and see how you do with it.
- 39:22Speaker 9: I bet you'll see a progress in that key word.
- 39:25Speaker 1: How do you?
- 39:25Speaker 3: What do you do when you have bad days?
- 39:28Speaker 5: Uh?
- 39:29Speaker 2: What time for money?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Loan?
- 39:30Speaker 2: When she hit us with that, she take a nap.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I tried that the other day.
- 39:34Speaker 3: It worked on it worked.
- 39:37Speaker 2: When I walk up from the nap, my levels were down.
- 39:40Speaker 4: It felt like a fresh start.
- 39:41Speaker 1: I hate that.
- 39:47Speaker 4: You tried it. What's that? How long was your not?
- 39:50Speaker 2: Thirty minutes?
- 39:51Speaker 7: I don't know how to do that. Thirty minutes to
- 39:55Speaker 7: get to sleep?
- 39:56Speaker 2: Usually before that, how I started my day. I attacked
- 40:00Speaker 2: the most important difficult thing that I got to do
- 40:03Speaker 2: that day. First, I knocked that that's done before nine am.
- 40:08Speaker 2: It's already done or I'm gonna handle it. I know
- 40:11Speaker 2: how to deal with it or handle it by nine am.
- 40:14Speaker 2: So once I get that done. And then the second
- 40:17Speaker 2: thing is if him and I were on the radio
- 40:18Speaker 2: that day, all right, cool, let's come in, let's I
- 40:20Speaker 2: got the show. Let's figure out what we're talking about.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Once that's done, we kind I'm really kind of cruising
- 40:26Speaker 2: through the rest of the day because I've had already
- 40:28Speaker 2: attacked everything I had to do early. Now I'm just
- 40:31Speaker 2: playing my role through the day that I already planned out,
- 40:35Speaker 2: and sometimes it doesn't go how it's supposed to be
- 40:37Speaker 2: playing I planned it out, Yeah, and you just make adjustments.
- 40:40Speaker 3: That's what I do. That's good, that's real. Well. Preparation,
- 40:44Speaker 3: that's what do you do.
- 40:46Speaker 5: Preparation. That's what a lot of people don't talk about.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Be prepared for anything. Hell, and I feel like we
- 40:52Speaker 5: don't talk about that enough now, you know, prepare for
- 40:55Speaker 5: anything to happen, Prepared to lose your job, prepared to
- 40:58Speaker 5: lose a relationship, prepared to lose a family member, like
- 41:02Speaker 5: I feel like for me that helps a lot with
- 41:04Speaker 5: like my fear of loss, with anything. Like I'm just
- 41:07Speaker 5: always mentally prepared for anything that could go wrong in
- 41:11Speaker 5: my life, you know what I'm saying. And and you know,
- 41:14Speaker 5: obviously shit don't always go how it's supposed to go.
- 41:17Speaker 5: But that that's that's the beauty of life, you know
- 41:20Speaker 5: what I'm saying, Because sometimes that know that you get
- 41:23Speaker 5: was a blessing.
- 41:24Speaker 3: I talk about that all the time.
- 41:25Speaker 5: I had an opportunity to get a radio job back
- 41:29Speaker 5: home in Arkansas, and I wanted this job so bad.
- 41:31Speaker 5: I was like, man, if I get this radio job,
- 41:34Speaker 5: I can quit my day job. My life is gonna be.
- 41:37Speaker 5: It didn't happen that way, they said no. I said,
- 41:38Speaker 5: all right, cool, I packed my bags up and moved
- 41:40Speaker 5: to Atlanta.
- 41:41Speaker 3: And the rest is history.
- 41:42Speaker 2: I move.
- 41:43Speaker 5: I moved so fast back home when I got that
- 41:46Speaker 5: note that my mama thought I was on the run.
- 41:51Speaker 5: That doesn't said, I said, fuck this, I'm getting out
- 41:53Speaker 5: of here. They mother, but just told me no, I'm
- 41:55Speaker 5: gonna go get a yes somewhere else.
- 41:57Speaker 6: So you know that's what's up, y'all because men don't
- 42:00Speaker 6: be speaking and they never do because man, y'all keep
- 42:06Speaker 6: a lot of not y'all, but men keep that trauma inside.
- 42:08Speaker 3: To as well that they club as well.
- 42:12Speaker 6: But women speak out more on mental and I love
- 42:15Speaker 6: when men do it too, because that's fel like it
- 42:17Speaker 6: needs to be a part of more. Our black men,
- 42:19Speaker 6: especially need to quit sliding down the dough.
- 42:22Speaker 11: Yeah, niggas, we appreciate you, uh you guys on us
- 42:31Speaker 11: ladies appreciate y'all.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Any shout outs.
- 42:35Speaker 8: Almost right, man shout out to y'all for you know
- 42:38Speaker 8: again man with the progress, you know, and just salute
- 42:42Speaker 8: to everybody that supports us.
- 42:43Speaker 9: Genuinely, we really really appreciate that.
- 42:46Speaker 7: So that's really the biggest shout out.
- 42:48Speaker 6: Everybody that's supporting the supporters, Yeah, because it's hard what
- 42:52Speaker 6: we do. So when people show us love is just
- 42:55Speaker 6: reassures us that we're doing the right thing and that
- 42:58Speaker 6: we are being seen because you know, social media sometimes
- 43:01Speaker 6: makes you like you're not being seen with this algorithm
- 43:03Speaker 6: and stuff and the likes and the comments.
- 43:05Speaker 9: But when people come in person and you know.
- 43:08Speaker 1: What I'm saying, everybody else and you never know who's
- 43:12Speaker 1: seen you, and sometimes it can be discouraging, but then
- 43:14Speaker 1: you'll get that one call or something that make you regroup,
- 43:18Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and we get that, you know,
- 43:20Speaker 1: every so after where it was like damn, but then
- 43:22Speaker 1: we get some of there like yeah, y'all see us.
- 43:24Speaker 4: So just shout out to everybody that's.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Been supporting us, and really shout to y'all in any
- 43:29Speaker 1: other like podcast out here, we definitely need to continue
- 43:32Speaker 1: to cross market and it don't hurt at all.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Like a podcast is like an hour long people.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Got man, people. People are.
- 43:40Speaker 5: People are stuck on numbers and likes and clickbait and
- 43:44Speaker 5: all that stuff, and I'll be like, let's just have
- 43:46Speaker 5: a conversation, just make dope ass contents.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Before we go.
- 43:49Speaker 2: What time for Wallow? For Wallow and Gilly? He taught
- 43:53Speaker 2: the BT and nine and he literally changed my view
- 43:56Speaker 2: on all this.
- 43:57Speaker 4: What he said.
- 43:58Speaker 2: He said, don't look at the numbers, don't look at you.
- 44:00Speaker 3: We talked for hours.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Don't look at none of that. Just do your thing
- 44:04Speaker 2: and enjoy, Sit back and enjoy.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Easy to say when they get a check, but it works.
- 44:12Speaker 2: That check too.
- 44:13Speaker 4: That's real. Gon heard so much about while I can't wait.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Is exactly who say.
- 44:21Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I'm ready to talk about that.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Now.
- 44:25Speaker 5: We're gonna give y'all some information. And that's the one
- 44:27Speaker 5: thing that we all lack. That people don't want to
- 44:30Speaker 5: want to give people information.
- 44:33Speaker 2: It costs you nothing, all right, man, probably supportall alert episode.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yeah, bitch, okay, we appreciate, appreciate
